Speaker 1 (00:00):
The bubble that wouldn't pop. It was a breezy Saturday morning,
and Emily was playing in her backyard with her favorite
bubble wand her mom had just mixed a special homemade
bubble solution with dish soap, sugar, and warm water. Emily
dipped her wand took a deep breath, and blew out
(00:23):
floated a giant bubble so big it could fit a
watermelon inside. Whoa, Emily whispered. The bubble shimmered with rainbow
colors and hovered right in front of her face, but
instead of floating away and popping, it stayed put. Then
it wobbled, and then it wobbled harder. Uh, what's happening,
(00:47):
Emily asked. Suddenly, the bubble zipped forward and stuck to
her hand. Before she could scream, it swooped under her
feet and lifted her into the air. Ah shouted as
her back yard disappeared below. She rose higher and higher,
passed her tree house, over the rooftops, and into the clouds.
(01:10):
She held on tight to the slippery surface. But it
wasn't cold. It felt soft and warm, like floating inside
a marshmallow. O K, she said, her voice shaking. This
is definitely not normal. Then the clouds began to part,
and Emily saw something amazing, a floating city made entirely
(01:33):
of soap bubbles and fluffy clouds. There were bubble buildings,
cloud sidewalks, and glowing soap creatures flying all around. Some
looked like turtles, some like whales, and others like giant
ducks with goggles. The bubble gently floated down and landed
in the middle of a big, bubbly plaza. A sign
(01:56):
above her read Welcome to Subtle Town, Home of the
Cloud Cleaners. Just then, a cheerful creature with the body
of a big puffy cotton ball and sparkling soap wings
bounced over. You made it, the creature squeaked. I'm Bloop,
the welcome bubble. You must be Emily. Emily blinked, you
(02:21):
know my name. Of course, only very special kids who
blow the perfect bubble get to visit Subtle Town. Emily
looked around in awe. What do people do here? Oh,
all kinds of clean and shiny things, Bloop said proudly.
We scrub the skies, polish the stars, and ride soap
(02:44):
creatures to deliver freshness all over the world. Just then,
a flying bubble turtle soared past, carrying a stack of
sparkly towels. Another soap bird zipped by, leaving a trail
of lemony fresh mist. Want to try riding one, Bloop
asked with a wink. Emily gasped yes. A plump, giggling
(03:07):
bubble dragon floated down beside her, wiggling its soapy tail.
Emily climbed on, holding tight to its foamy reins. Here
we go, the dragon sang. They zoomed through loops of bubbles,
zipped around towers, and even splashed through a cloud car wash.
Emily couldn't stop laughing. This is better than any ride ever.
(03:32):
They landed in front of a building called the Bubble Workshop.
Inside bubblysh scientists with lab coats and puffy glasses, mixed
potions and tall beakers. Bloop handed Emily a tiny, glowing vial.
This is a forever bubble drop. Bloop explained, one drop
(03:52):
in your bubble mix makes bubbles that never pop unless
you say the magic word. What's the word, Emily asked.
Bloop leaned in close, soaper duper pop. Emily giggled, that's
silly exactly. Bloop grinned all the best magic is silly.
(04:12):
Suddenly the sky rumbled. Oh no, a loud voice echoed
from the tower. A grime storm is coming. All fliers
report to the sud station. Dark clouds rolled in ugly
oily ones with streaks of dust and smelly fog. It's
a grime storm from the gloom Lands, Bloop said. They
(04:33):
try to dirty the sky. Emily watched his soap creatures
lined up, ready to scrub the storm away. But there
were so many grime clouds. I want to help, Emily
said bravely. Bloop nodded and handed her a giant bubble
wand and a bottle of super soap. Timed a shine
(04:54):
sky cleaner. Emily jumped on her dragon and joined the
cleaning crew. She dipped her wand and made massive shiny
bubbles that bounced off the storm clouds, popping them with
a satisfying splat. Take that stink of fog, she shouted.
With teamwork, laughter and lots of bubbles, the grime clouds
(05:15):
were washed away and the sky sparkled again. Back in
the plaza, everyone cheered. You were amazing, Emily, Bloop said,
bouncing up and down. You're officially an honorary bubble rider.
He handed her a tiny pin shaped like a soap
bubble with wings. I wish I could stay forever, Emily said,
(05:40):
hugging Bloop, but I think I should get back now.
Bloop smiled gently. You will always be welcome here. Just
blow the perfect bubble and say the magic word when
you're ready. Emily nodded. She dipped her wand one last time,
blew a big bubble and whispered, soaper duper pop. The
(06:02):
bubble wrapped around her like a soft blanket and gently
floated her back down, down, down, until pop. Emily landed
safely in her back yard. Her wand still sparkled, and
the sky above looked cleaner than ever. She smiled, best
bubble ever. The end has always visited us at ridthtale
