Hello friends, Henry Flowers. Here Powerful Living outreach ministries coming

blessed by this outreach ministry. We get together ten thirty
every Sunday morning. So if you want to join us live,
you can do that through Zoom. The Zoom meeting ID
and password is in the description box because I all
have that stuff memorized because it ain't to bosso me,
(00:45):
so you can do that. You can also join us live.
I was gonna do the YouTube live. The YouTube live
is just unstable. I don't know if it's where I live,
or it's the weather, or it's my internet provider. I mean,
I think I got the best internet out available, but
it's just unstable. And the thing is supposed to record,
and sometimes it just records half the message or a third,
(01:06):
and then you don't have nothing sometimes. So I just
chose not to do YouTube live right now until I
get things in place that we need. But if you
want to join us live, obviously the Zoom is an option,
but you can also call in You can may not
call in five one three, four zero four seven seven
(01:27):
nine three is how you can call in and reach us,
but probably just maybe send a text message if you
got show ideas, you got comments, something that I just said,
you got questioned about you need some clarity. You can
do all of that real time Eastern Standard time ten
(01:47):
thirty am every Sunday morning. So that is that, and
we will respond like we did. We do respond all right,
trusting that you got prayer requests, bring it content. Something
you want me to talk about in the future, you
can send that in as well. Of course, check out
our website for all this information Powerful living dot org.
(02:15):
I have some things that I want to share with
you this morning. If I have covered all the legal
basis and we you know, some of you have offered
as well asked about giving and how to support our ministry.
We are working on that. The Whull five oh one
(02:35):
C three has got to be done. And you know,
it's just not my ministry. I try to stay in
my lane, and I do have some people on my
team working on those things, but you know that's just
not my ministry to be doing certain administrative things like that.
And you know what because we building a team. I
don't have to do it all myself. Is that right?
That's right, you don't have to do it all yourself
(02:57):
when you're building a team that is Christ. He talks
about one another, the Fellowship of the Saints. That's where
we at. So we're looking forward to getting that together.
We'll let you know when we have that that available
to you where you can give and support the ministry.
(03:20):
And yes, absolutely listen, I'm shy away from the giving.
I understand what's happening with Marvin Sapping the last couple
of things that went viral, with all that whole thing
he did, usher, shut the door, bro shut the door,
close the door. What are y'all doing? That's say, closed
the door? And he went on radio stuff. You know,
that's just a lose lose for people in this position.
(03:42):
It just really is. Most of the time. I just
I just preach the word. I say what the Bible
says about giving, and I trust God and I trust
people to give. If people don't want to give, they
gotta give. But he got mad? Did they not get
mad at Kreflo not long ago? Because he asked for
a hit ge weird? They got mad and my thing
(04:02):
was okay, I get high. It's weird, especially from people
who are on the outside looking in, because you know,
people always got a problem with pastors. They ain't nothing
but the money. They're just all about the money. As
if every opportunity that you have, whether it's buying a car,
buying groceries, you ain't going nowhere doing nothing without spending money.
Everybody about the money. But people don't have that problem
with Walmart. They don't make that complain about Walmart being
(04:22):
all about the money. You ain't getting nothing for free
at Walmart unless they say so. I know that's a
that's a different spin on giving, but just an it's
an opportunity for you to just check your heart, Like
what kind of heart do you have if you have
a problem with the ministry and the whole idea of
(04:43):
giving and connecting to the ministry, and so that's all,
just just examine your heart and that's all. And I
don't I don't spend too much time on those things
because it's just a lose lose man. People are gonna
believe what they want to believe. They either gonna give
or they're not gonna give. And especially as ministers, man
we just be doing some weird stuff, bro. That just
(05:04):
does not help the cause. And so many preachers out
there get caught messing around doing stupid stuff with the money.
If you have not seen that video, just look up
this video. Search for this video. Pastor answers questions to
the irs. If you want to see something cringey, that
(05:30):
is cringey, I'm gonna just put that out there. But
these kind of things get more and more cringey when
you're not doing right. And I want to do right
when it comes to the finances. I want to do
right by God in every area of ministry. And you
can do right, just how your ducks in the place.
Don't be intermingling funds. Just have the church ministry business
(05:50):
taken care of. Don't be doing them no silly stuff.
And you know, just listen nowadays, you know everybody's recording.
Be careful about what you say. Everybody sitting in the
congregation with a camera. Don't make stuff about you. Well,
I bring it, everybody, come on down to the front.
I want to see people. I want to see a
thousand people moving. You want to see Yep. The more
(06:13):
and more you make ministry about you and what you
want the more trouble you will experience giving or otherwise.
So those are my thoughts on that, but we will
let you know when we do have that up and
running for those of you who want to support this ministry,
because it definitely got some good things planned and it
takes money to do many of those things. All right,
(06:37):
let's jump right in speaking of doing those things when
it comes to ministry. There's just something that occurred to
me this morning that just baffles me. Like I'm I'm
just a logical person, Like I believe in logic and
(06:57):
reason and things. Being on a bus binary platformed where
you can gain understanding one plus one equals too, and
intellectual approaches to many things usually produce the best results.
(07:19):
I have a very low EQ, which is emotional quotient,
and have a very high IQ intelligence quotion, and I
have a very low EQ. So I had to work
on that over the time, especially being married. I had
to learn how to love my wife and all these things.
Sometimes you got to turn the logical brain off and
(07:39):
embrace the emotional part. And that's not easy for me.
Just because my mental bank account is set up. I
got a checking account and then savings account and it
usually takes about two days to process any kind of
transfer from the emotional side of the brain. This is
how my high set up, how my brain is set up.
And so there's a something that occurred this morning that
(08:01):
just just messed up everything that I normally depend on
when it comes to how my mind operates, and just
messed up everything. I was being faithful over what I
believe God had called me to do from the beginning
of March. It was about the first week of March,
so I guess probably about March the seventh, I just
(08:23):
got to hold of some information the Lord said, be
faithful over that. Do that, keep that going, do that.
That is what's next. And what that was was the
sixty sixty second shorts. I'd gotten a hold of this
sixty second short idea where you may put out an
hour sermon, forty five minute sermon, but the sixty second
clips is what you push on YouTube and all the
(08:46):
other platforms, and this is how you get to the
point where you could possibly monetize your channel and create
another stream of income. And so I'm like, man, okay,
let me check this out. See what I'm gonna do.
So I take a little while on my phone and
check it on phone. You getting put the thing together
and you put it online and you upload it. You
set a time and it's like boom, boom boom. I
started doing that in the first week of March. And listen, y'all,
(09:14):
it's no joke. Like the shorts have taken off. Like
I've got more views on the YouTube channel for Powerful Living.
I've gotten more views since I started putting up the
sixty second shorts, probably in the two years that the
(09:37):
Powerful Living platform has been in place. And so I
was ticking out some of these videos. Here some of
the shorts, sixty second videos, and I'm just checking out
how many views I have. And this is where my
train went off the track, because I'll tell you that'll.
I just need things to make sense. This is this
(10:01):
is where my train went off the track. Now watch this.
One thing I need you to know about me is
I'm very consistent when I'm when I'm when I'm trying
to do something. If I'm playing tennis, I'm trying to
be consistent. I want to just return balls as many
as I can and need to do nothing fancy, just
just return another shot, make them miss me and my
partner we don't want to just consistency. That's what separates
(10:22):
the pros from the Joe's the consistency. And so you
want to be faithful over that's when it comes to
your Bible reading. She'd be consistent one chapter a day.
It'll transform your life. Your prayer time. Be consistent, start
off with five minutes, do it every day for a week,
and watch your life transform. Your work ethic at your job,
(10:44):
the ones who get the furthest on the job are
usually the ones who are the most consistent. Now, if
you're consistently late, there's gonna mean you're gonna be out
of there. That's the wrong kind of consistency. People don't
really tolerate that well. But you get what I'm saying.
Just consistency. And so here we go. I felt like
I wanted to be faithful in consistency and logical stuff
(11:04):
like that. It's got to make sense. And I'm looking
at this thing like I say, Okay, here's a short
that I upload. It's got eleven views, and this is
a sixty second short. It's got two hundred and seventy
seven views, four hundred and fifteen, six hundred ninety eight,
eight hundred and twenty five, one thousand, and then I
keep scrolling on one hundred and fifty eight, nine hundred
(11:29):
and one, one thousand plus sixteen one thousand, one thousand,
nine hundred, one hundred and fifty four. This is seven
hundred and three one thousand, four hundred and sixty eight.
(11:52):
Y'all see the pattern here? Do you see the pattern?
The pattern is? They're seeing to be no pattern. This
blew my mind and I'm like, Okay, these are shorts.
These are sixty second shorts. I'm not really doing anything
other than so the time is different. I upload some
(12:14):
at different times because I really haven't gotten quite a
good feel on what time to post certain material because
you just it's random, Like how is this not randomness?
Like how do you know? And maybe I'll do some
studies to find this out, but it's like, this is
so random. This is a sixty second Bible clip of
(12:35):
me reading the Bible. I love the Bible readings. I've
gotten a lot of responses online for me just reading
the Bible usually ten twenty minutes maybe at the max
of Bible reading, but I do that as well. I
started doing those in sixty second clips and putting them
out there, those have gotten more views than the sermon topics.
It's like the Bible reading. It's like bam, bam bam,
(12:57):
just picking up thousands of these thousand years. But it's
like one of them has sixteen views, and it's like what,
how how does one video get twelve hundred views and
a similar video with the same content only gets eleven.
And it's like, I don't understand. Now, here's the thing,
(13:18):
and here's a good thing. What my wife shared with
me this morning, What you share with me this morning, baby,
what you said to me, simple words? I said, there
was no rhyme or reason too an algorithm. There's no
rhyme or reason to the algorithm. It's social media. It's
people with different lives, doing different things at different times,
(13:41):
with different devices and different places and different languages. Like
you can't really have this linear, binary logical approach that
I have when it comes to my mind and how
my mind works. That stuff does not go well with
social media. And so I just sat with it for
(14:01):
a minute. And after she said that, she said, there's
no rhyme or reason. I said, that's why this ain't
my ministry. Now I have to be faithful over it
until God sends someone else who's makeup is better suited
for this online ministry. But for me, things that have
(14:25):
no rhyme or reason drive me absolutely nuts. And I
can't even help it. And I had to sit with
it this morning to try to turn it off, and
I just put it in a little box in my
mind and shut the jail. It'll drive me nuts because
things are supposed to have a rhyme or reason, time
(14:46):
and season for everything. And so as I sat with it,
you know, the Lord spoke to me and said, just
trust me. I just felt like the Lord placed that
in my heart is just a word of encouragement, and said,
(15:07):
just just trust me, do what I said to do,
and leave the rest alone. We struggle so many times
with just trusting God and just doing what He's called
us to do. We want to see the results, man,
(15:30):
We want to see the results this human nature. M
And says in the scripture says, he says, man looks
at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart.
You know what that means. That means man wants to
see something. Man wants to say I got to see it.
I need some results. But God is saying just trust
(15:57):
just trust me more, and just do what I tell
you to do. I just told you to put something
out every day, even if it's two sixty second clips,
two sixty second shorts per day. Just put something out
there every day for the next six months, and just
(16:18):
see what happens with the online platform. And it's like,
this shorts thing is the thing that's shortening my circuits.
It seriously is driving me nuts if I pay attention
(16:38):
to it. And I think what I've decided today is
I'm gonna continue to enjoy the exposure because I definitely
want people to hear what I have to say. I
want them to hear the message that's coming from this
platform because I believe I have something to say and
I believe the world needs to hear it. I believe
(16:59):
in the Gospel. I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe
that Jehovah, God had an amazing plan for all of
us from the founding of the world, and he wants
all of us to be in covenant relationship with him
and he created that possibility through his son Jesus Christ.
(17:19):
And that's an amazing story. It is the most amazing
story ever told. I tell it I think I do
a good job telling it, and I want everybody to hear.
And that's why I'm doing this on this platform. And
so the Lord says, just trust me. You have Proverbs
(17:40):
chapter three, Proverbs chapter three, this whole I love this
whole chapter here, this one section, the title that we
have put on there, because all of the you know,
there's no there are no chapters and verses and titles
(18:01):
in the original scrolls from where we get the Bible.
We put these in here for our own logical reasons.
You see, you s so many people just depend on
logical reasons. I want numbers here. I want chapters to
divide these things because I want to be able to
commit this to memory and this kind of thing and
just have order in it. And so all these scrolls
(18:22):
that were found way back in the day, man decided, hey,
let's put chapters and titles on here, because this is
how we wrote it works better for us. And this
whole section here is talking about how to trust the
Lord Yahweh Jehovah, and it says trusting God. And what
(18:50):
I'm learning is not about you knowing why things are
happening the way they're happening. Your desire to understand and
to know why things are the way they are can
(19:13):
cause you to fall out of favor with God when
he says, trust the Lord. Trying to figure out everything
of the why, asking the why, and trying to figure
out what's happening next, and want to know the mechanics
of everything. You want to know. We want to know.
We want to know just human beings, man, we want
to know. That is not faith. God says, trust me.
(19:40):
Do what I have instructed you to do, and you'll prosper.
He says, Listen from today for the next six months,
I want you to post something every day on social media. No,
(20:00):
I want to look at the videos. How come this
one got nine hundred views? And how come this one
got sixteen? It's the same content I posted at the
same time on a different day. I don't understand what
is going on. See. Those kind of things can discourage
you from doing what He told you to do. God
told you to love your husband. Yeah, let me give
(20:21):
some of a relationship advice. It comes the relationship doctor. Oh,
we gonna get into the scriptures Proverbs chapter three. Go
ahead and pull it up. God told you to love
your husband. You do know love is in action, and
many times when it comes to loving your husband, it
(20:44):
is not God's will for you to sit back and
see the results and the judge by the results whether
or not things are gonna turn out well for you. Well,
see at his dinner cook when he came home and
he was still got mad over something. God tell you
(21:09):
to cook him here for your husband. He didn't say
sit back and be waiting for a thank you or
wait for him to be happy about it. You do
what God has told you to do, and you trust
God for the results. That's powerful living, y'all. See the
(21:32):
just shall live by faith. I have faith in God
that every time he tells me to do something, it's
going to turn out well for me. So when God
says go here and do this, a mature believer has
(21:53):
hurt enough. That's all they need to know that God
said go here and do this, and they go there
and they do that, and they trust God for the results.
Your relationship will change if you just trust God for
the results. I have seen it happen in my life.
(22:19):
If you just trust God for the results and just
do what He's called you to do and what He's
instructed you to do. And you let him take care
of the details, your way will prosper, and you have
the peace that he said that you can have in
Psalm chapter twenty three. Because if the Lord is your shepherd,
(22:42):
there are certain things that he does if you trust him.
You have Proverbs chapter three trusting in the Lord, my child.
Let's stop right there. This is to you. Was talking
(23:03):
to believers. Most of this platform's ministry is focused on believers,
those who are already in the faith. We want to
help you go from where you are to operating with
more power. So these are talking about God's children, those
who are his. Well, ain't we all God's children? I
mean we all were created by God. But how do
(23:26):
you know who's God's children? We know who's God's children
is by those who do what he says to do.
Jesus says, if you love me, you keep my commandments.
There's a real distinction there. So, yes, we want to
The idea is, man, you want everybody to go go
to heaven. But we just know that's not going to
(23:48):
be so. And so God has allowed people to have
freedom of choice. Like that's the real freedom of choice,
like boom boom, pile. If God allows you to choose
for yourself. Why am I getting Why am I trying
to force an atheist to believe the scriptures? And getting
on mad because they say no to Jesus, no to God.
Oh bro, If God ain't trying to force you to
(24:10):
do nothing, who to heck am I? So he says,
my children, this is specific. He's talking about the people
of God. He says, my children, Never forget the things
I've taught you. Store my commands in your heart. If
you do this, you will live many years and your
life will be satisfying. Hold on, who does not want
(24:33):
their life to be satisfying. There's a reason you go
out and work as hard as you do. Why because
you want to do things that cause you to feel productive.
That brings you satisfaction. It brings me satisfaction doing what
I've been called to do, whether it's preaching the gospel, teaching, instructing,
(24:55):
mentoring music, it brings me satisfaction. I feel productive. I
feel like a good part of society brings you satisfaction,
and everybody wants it. And then you get to the
point where you can actually get a job that provides
money for you in doing a thing that you love
(25:17):
to do you want to know the definition of success?
My definition of success. Find out what you love to
do and then find somebody who will pay you to
do it. Brother, you have reached success. Sister, you was
killing it right then and right there, little boys, I'm
(25:40):
doing a podcast. Can y'all be quiet, please, Joshua, I'm
trying to do a podcast. Man, I'm trying to be
all spiritual and stuff. I'm trying to hear from the Lord.
Can you be quiet out there please? You sound like
a grizzly bear with an indigestion just coming out of hibernation.
Well all, I'm in grunting and grawling that you're doing.
(26:00):
It's not pleasing under Jesus at all. All right, where
was it? Yeah? Yeah? Man? You know we don't. You don't.
You don't you don't want Nobody says I want a
miserable life. You know, there's certain things that we do
and every everything that we make efforts towards. We want
(26:22):
our lives to be satisfying. This is what God says
right here in Proverbs chapter three. He says, listen this
you want to have satisfying life. This is how you
get it. Do the thing that you love to do
and you make money. It puts money in your bank account,
and that allows you to have a satisfying life. It's
a satisfying life when you go in there and turn
on the light switch and it comes on because you
(26:42):
got electricitistics mm hmm. You ever want to be dissatisfied
with your life, be up in your house watching your
favorite don't let the game be on, and the man
come by and shut the electricity off. CUK, there is
a problem in the city, and it's right here at
your address. I think the last time that happened to
(27:05):
me was that I just forgot to pay the bill,
and all of a sudden, I just happened to be
by the front window and I heard a clunk on
the side of my house cook clunk, and all the
power went out. And I walked outside and I seen
the dude standing there closing my box up, and I said, Hey,
what's going on? He said, uh, uh, did you pay
(27:27):
your electric bill? And I hadn't, and it was a whoops.
And it was fortunate that, you know, I caught it
before you left. I was able to write him a
check and he turned it back on. Man, that'll change
your life. You talking about being unsatisfied with the way
your life is. Watsh the electricity turn off, you won't
forget to pay it again. And some of you who
(27:48):
are in tight situations and you got turned off some
reasons because it wasn't because you just forgot to pay it.
You now have the capacity to pay it. It's rough
out here in these streets, y'all. Inflation has hit everybody.
Everybody's being affected. Folks are struggling nowadays, man. And that's
why as we grow in powerful living, grow closer to God,
(28:10):
you get to the point where, when you're doing what
God's called you to do, you'll have means, and you'll
have financial strength, and you'll be able to help somebody else. See. See,
your life will never be as satisfying as it's going
to be when you can help somebody who can never
repay you. That's powerful living. And God wants to get
(28:32):
you in a position to be able to do that.
And so he says here I Love verse two says,
if you do this, if you keep my commandments in
your heart, just remember what I've called you to do,
remember the instructions that I've given you, and just keep
doing it. Write it in your heart. Don't let it go,
he says. If you do this, you'll live many years
and your life will be satisfying. Never let loyalty and
(28:56):
kindness leave you. Tie them around your neck as write
them deep within your heart. Then you will find favor
with both God and people, and you will earn a
good reputation. Trusting God will cause you to have favor
(29:24):
with people. When your ways please God, he says, Men, listen,
this is even your enemies will find themselves being at
peace with you when your ways please God. So do
them when God tell you do and not being too
focused on the results. Listen, It's about trust, and he says,
(29:47):
when you trust me and you hold on to my
commands and you just do them, not only will you
have favor from me, but you'll have favor with other
people and your life will be more and more satisfying.
It's not that you won't have trouble, because they who
(30:10):
live godly shall suffer persecution. But you know, just there's
some persecution that other people can bring on you, and
there's other persecution that you can bring on yourself. Not
being in God's will will bring persecution on yourself, and
(30:32):
it will make your life very unsatisfying. He's what he says.
He says verse five, So now I want you to
really hold onto this idea too. When he says tie
things about your neck as a reminder, this is very
important for believers. There are certain scriptures that as a
(30:57):
believer in Jesus Christ, you need to have tied around
your neck. This is where we have the idea of
flash cards. You know, many of the scriptures that I'm
able to quote are because of the hours and hours
and hours and hours and hours that I spent just
(31:18):
going over flash cards and reading the scriptures. I wanted
to know the word. I wanted to know it, and
God is encouraging you to do it. He says, tied
around your neck. What are the things that you tie
around your neck? You remember how many latchkey kids we
got out there rage your hand back in the day,
latchkey kids. Only the latch key kids know what I'm
talking about. Man, you go home and Mama work wherever
(31:42):
she at, and ain't nobody home, and you got the
key to the house, and what she tells you to
do with it? Tie that thing around your neck? Why?
Because tied around your neck doesn't easily come off lose it.
You can put it in your pocket if you want to.
(32:03):
How many times you go in your pocket for something?
Mm hm? How many times you go to put something
else in that same pocket and then you reach back
to get that something else and you pull that something
else out and guess what comes out with it? That
you didn't hear because you was on the grass and
you pulled that something else out of your pocket and
the key came out too, And guess what just happened
to your key? You just lost that bad boy. You
(32:28):
lost it all day long, and you're in trouble because
it's gonna be raining when you get out of school
and you can be sitting on the porch rain drops,
key falling on my head. Why, because you ain't tied
around your neck. Security. It's about putting it into a
place where you won't lose it. That's where these flash
(32:51):
cards coming. So you get this point where you get
a flash card and this scripture right here that well
I'm about to read next is one that you should
put on your flash card and study it, rehearse it over,
say it out loud. That's how you memorize stuff because
you believe you more than anything else. So your soul
needs to hear your voice. Say it out loud. This
(33:15):
is how you tie things about your neck. Repetition, repeat
it over and over again. This is one that you
will want to repeat. Proverbs, chapter three and verse five.
Here we go. Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Do not depend on your own understanding. Trust in the
(33:40):
Lord with all your heart. Lean not unto your own understanding,
is what the king, James says. He says, no, trust
in the Lord. Trust what he tell you to do.
What he tell you to do. That's what you need
to do. Don't lean unto your own understanding. I can
promise you after today, especially with my I said what
(34:00):
she said about the algorithms, because that's just truth. You know,
all of this stuff is on algorithms. Like it's crazy
the way the internet works. What it is that you
search for is what they're going to send you more
of what it is that you like. That's what's going
to be popping up on your timeline, on your feed
or whatever it is that you on. Yay, So he says,
(34:28):
he says, don't lean to your own understanding. I don't
understand how the algorithms work, but I understand that they work,
and sometimes depends on how you got your account set up.
Sometimes those things are listening through your device and that
same thing that you was just talking about. You go
(34:50):
back on your social platform again, and all of a
sudden there's an advertised to buy that thing that you
was talking about. It's crazy, y'all know what I'm talking about, right, Man?
I don't understand how these things work, but it's not
my job to understand. It's my job to trust in
the Lord. Do not lean to your own understanding, is
what he says verse six. You want to add this
(35:12):
to proverse three five and verse six. Seek His will
in all you do, and he will show you which
path to take. You don't need to know everything, and
as a child of God, it's best that you don't
know everything because just just because we are flawed and
(35:38):
in the flesh, the human nature is to worry. And
so the more you know, the more you get an
opportunity to worry about stuff. Man, how's this going to
go through? My boss? I can't stand my boss, and
this is how how do I deal with them? Your
job is to trust God, seek peace, and all that
(35:59):
you do, trust God to move on your boss's heart. Pray,
are you praying for that person who's producing difficulty in
your life? Pray for that person and trust God to
transform their life. Trust God to transform your life. To
help you understand better this person and understand their story. Man,
(36:24):
Sometimes it's easier to love somebody once you have heard
their story. There's a reason they are the way they are.
I hope y' all enjoy my interview with Maids. Man,
I've getten a lot of reviews and comments and all
kinds of stuff hearing about Maids and his time in prison.
(36:46):
That brother is sharing his story. He's excited about the
responses and the views, and he calling me saying thank you,
thank you forgiving me an opportunity. Man, Please, you're willing
to share your story. I know how I encouragement it
is for other people to hear other people's story. Man,
you're doing all of us a favor by being willing
to share, and it is riveting. Interview inside State Prison
(37:12):
with Mays. Look that up and you will be blessed
by hearing what this brother has to share. He says,
seek his will, and all you do and he will
show you which path to take. Seek his will and
then say sit back and worry about the path. He
need say, sit back and lose sleep and pull your
(37:35):
hair out, and cause all kind of stress about what
to do next. Seek his will and all you do
verse six of Proverbs, chapter three, and he will show
you which path to take. Number seven is very important here.
This is a very important verse verse seven. Don't be
(37:57):
impressed with your own wisdom. Don't be impressed with your
own wisdom. Instead, free of the Lord, and turn away
from evil. Your own wisdom and intellectual abilities and capabilities
(38:21):
and understandings. Man, sometimes those things are so far from God,
just as far as the east is from the west.
And many times there's just a difference between the things
that you think should be done and the things that
God wants you to do, huge difference. There's a way
(38:43):
that God wants you to respond to that family member
who got beef with you, and then there's a way
that you want to respond, and God is saying, don't, don't, don't, don't,
don't trust yourself, don't do that. There's a way that
(39:03):
you'll respond according to your understanding that will not produce
the satisfying life that he talked about in this earlier passage.
Year of Proverbs chapter three. No, you say you want
the life, then you got to do what it takes
to do to get the life. And he says, trust God,
and you have a satisfying life. J Jesus said, there's
(39:25):
a thief that he's coming to do three things. He's
only coming to kill, still and destroy. But I've come
that you have life and life more abundantly. And that's
literally translated a rich and satisfying life. This is the
(39:46):
same word it's being used here in Proverbs when he says,
when you'd ways please the Lord, He'll cause you to
have a satisfying life. And here he says in verse seven,
Proverbs chapter three, Verse seven, don't be impressed with your
own wisdom. Instead fear of the Lord. Reverence, and the
(40:10):
kind of reverence says when God says it, that settles it.
If I don't know what's going to happen in six months,
but I do know that God told me to post
something on the line every day for the next six months.
(40:33):
I wrote it on my calendar. You know why, because
I know I'm going to do what God told me
to do, and I know at the end of it,
there's going to be blessing that's who you are. That's
who you are, and I'm love by you. That's just
(40:56):
who he is. He says. When your ways please the Lord,
you'll have this rich and satisfying life. So he says,
don't lean to your own understanding, seek God and everything
that you do. Man, you know how many different algorithms
there are coming at you on a daily basis. You
can't understand the algorithms. You don't understand how they work,
(41:19):
why they produce this results at this time and not
different the same results at another time, same content, different results,
different time, different day. I ain't doing nothing different. I
gotta template set up. There's definitely nothing different on my end.
What's the difference? Well, I don't know, And God say,
it ain't your job to know. It's your job to trust.
(41:45):
You can sit back and get confused about the algorithms,
or you can sit back and trust the Almighty God.
Doing one of those things that dry you crazy, but
doing the other thing will lead you to a rich,
satisfying life. Now you get to choose Henry Flowers powerful
(42:09):
living outreach ministries. I ain't going awhear y'all. I'm coming back.
