Speaker 1 (00:06):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Everybody?

Speaker 1 (00:07):
Welcome back. It is Pro Wrestling after Hours. I'm Michael Carlisle.
Joined us always by Micah Franko. Micah. What's shaken? Man?

Speaker 3 (00:16):
I think two thousand and three is shaken. Two thousand
and three about the heyday of Randy Orton versus John Cena.
When people cared about it.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
You know you care, you know you want to see it.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Dude. That was off the top of my head. That
is so not me caring. That is me wondering why
John Cena needs doctor Phil. He's like, why don't you
want to be in a healthy relationship, John, We love
you John. I think that's what Scena needs right now,
not kids, some real heelding people care about him.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Well, I mean, I guess I don't. What if this
is the real John Cena And what if we've seen
this entire time has been the fake John Cena and
now he's being himself, which I think is what they
like you to believe. I don't know that I buy
into that, but what if it's true?

Speaker 3 (01:15):
I just can't buy into. He wanted to be hip hop,
he wanted to be cool, he wanted to be all this,
and now he's very robotic. But when you ask me
if this is the real John Cena, I saw a
real the other day on Facebook of him signing autograph
merchandise out in the rain for fans well in a

(01:35):
pinstripe suit, and it was very you know, nice of him.
And he's like throwing sharpies at people, saying only one
signature per item, only one item per person. Maybe this
is the real John Cena.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Huh, I guess, I guess. While we're just jumping around
before we get into something solid, did you see the
video on Monday that Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff put out.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
I heard it was cringe worthy. I heard it was bad,
and as soon as I heard about it, I forgot
to look it up until you brought it up. But
was it still in black and white like it was
nineteen ninety six and they were doing the nWo.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
It was very nwosque. It was in black and white.
It wasn't cringeworthy. It's a little interesting, but yes, it
was basically a takeoff on the nWo. Hogan, you know
who I am, but you don't know why I'm here.
This Shoff says something similar. They allude to a third
man and championships he's won in careers, he's built. Look,

(02:42):
obviously Hogan ain't getting back in the ring. My first
thought was this is going to be a podcast of
some sort. But I do wonder if maybe there's somebody
out there that Hogan has a long history with that
might be itching to back in the wrestling game and
starting a promotion, and if that might be the third man.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Oh no, I want to say that's a stretch, But
I had another question for you real quick. Yeah, well
Cogan was associated that with that real American beer that
was being advertised on Monday Night Raw. Correct?

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Yes, does he have anything to do with.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
The real American whiskey that replaced the American beer that
was there on Raw? That's I think now they're on Raw?
Do we not sure?

Speaker 1 (03:36):
You know what, I'll try to look that up real quick.
I'm not sure on that. My guess would be.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
With the reaction that.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Hogan's got his last couple of appearances, they probably and
it's true Americans whiskey, I believe, and that's made by
Stagecoach Whiskey. I'll see if I can figure that out.
They want me to do an age verification. This is
a pain in my ass, but it's.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Forty five dollars.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
But my guess, first of all, whatever relationship he has
with them, I'm sure does not cover in ring or anything.
It's more of a I don't even know if they
have them on a Legends deal.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Maybe they do, I don't know, But.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
My guess is whatever the sponsorship deal is wouldn't keep
them from doing something else.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Were that to be an option, and.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
They probably wouldn't be that sad to see him go,
then you could just quietly move away from all that
for a while. That's probably a stretch too, But my again,
my guess would be this is going to be some
sort of podcasting. Although you know Bischoff does his podcast
with Conrad Thompson. I was listening to one of Conrad's

(04:50):
podcast today and he says, it ain't a podcast.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
It's not me.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
I'm not the third man. I'm not doing a podcast
with Hogan and Bischoff. Now, if he was, you wouldn't
expect him to say, Yep, that's what it is. You
guys figured out the surprise. But something tells me that
maybe it's not that.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
So I don't know what your other options are.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
I wonder if it could be. It could be anything
from a bitcoin to the next Florida lot of Oh
my god, an energy drink.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Nope, stock, Well, I think I think you've nailed it.
I seriously, I think it's gonna be a fucking nWo bitcoin.
I say no, And that had not crossed my mind
until you just brought it up.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
I bet you're not wrong.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
I mean, those crypto fan coins. Everybody's been doing one.
I why not Hole Cogin, I mean, Connor McGregor did one.
There's been some other random celebrities, the Hawk, Tuba Girl,
Hoe Cogan seems to be on that level of marketing
by now, Like, God.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
You're probably you know what, that's terrible, but you're probably right.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
See now, we can only swing up if it's actually
a Vince McMahon lad wrestling promotion.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Ah Honestly, that's kind of the way I'm leaning. But
I can't imagine anybody wanting to get into bed no
pun intended with Vince McMahon right now, like TV executive
straight now you find you an international financer. Absolutely, if

(06:38):
you're Vince McMahon, are you going to be content streaming
your content on Triller or YouTube or so? I mean maybe.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
Who knows. With Vince McMahon at this point in might
have did you start off with streaming on Rumble?

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Maybe maybe uh close circuit from whatever prison he winds
up now, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
I don't know, but Bitcoin feels like the most realistic.
I don't know who the third.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Man could be.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
This is gonna be a shocker to us probably, Well,
it has.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
To be somebody huge otherwise this is a flop announcement.
And look, maybe that's the case. This is the Internet's
in twenty twenty five.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
It could be Kevin Nash. Maybe I thought about that,
the reverse way of bringing in the third man.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Yeah, and maybe you're just doing a straight up nWo podcast.
I mean, look, Kevin Nash no stranger to the podcast world.
Neither is Bischoff. I don't know what options Hogan has
right now. Maybe he's like, well, brother, you guys are
making money in the podcast world.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
I should do that too.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Yeah. I could see that.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
I could also see.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Some combination of Bishoff, Hogan, Undertaker, and Vents and that's
your your your new organization. Now get Look, I don't
know what Undertaker situation might be different because he is
on WWETV on whatever that dumb show is on A

(08:19):
and E that he got Mickey James fired from and
his wife hired, and maybe that's not thinking.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Now is real American podcast.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
I guess talk for the rights of every man, but
not women because we don't believe in letting them talk.
I am a real American podcaster. Yeah, maybe.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
Only off this topic, but on to another one that
I just saw on the Internet that I didn't know
because I don't like to get in the personal lives
of wrestlers or managers that much. But did you know
that Paul Hayman's fiance is actually younger than Bill Belichick's.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Is that chick in the video that's his fiance?

Speaker 3 (09:03):
So that's what I read on one of the captions.
I don't know if I believe it, or even if
I believe that caption. Maybe it's his daughter, but that's
what one Internet source was leading to believe.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
I don't know if that's true, but if it is
between him and Belichick, I can't wait to get old. Man.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
I'm gonna score big.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
I'm just saying I need to let myself go, which
won't be that hard, let's be honest. But yeah, the
future looks good.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
When your best friend is Cmpunk, Your tribal chief is
Roman reigns, Your next in line is seth Rawlins, and
bron Breaker's your wingman. I guess things look up for
you at seventy.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Never mind all that shit.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
If that blonde is legit, his fiance say Foxy m
Punk fuck Roman reigns to hell with Rollins. That's your
tribal chief right there, my man, just saying your tribal chief,
your next in line, your best friend, your your your
peace or whatever.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
Hey, that victory makes us all. Paul Hayman, guys.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
That might be the biggest score of his career, and
he's had a bunch.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
The biggest score of his career. How did you like
the debut of his new duo on Monday Night Raw?
As we got a little deeper into them after the
chios on SmackDown.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
I'm guessing I didn't like it as much as you did.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
And here's why.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
For years I have casually, from time to time drop
little factoids about you resembling Sammy's Ain. I know what
is Today we did our MMA show MMA after Hours
right here on the After Hours podcast network that you
don't really look like Sammy Zain anymore. However, from the

(11:12):
neck up, and only the neck up, it goes downhill
from there. For the neck up, I thought I was
sitting across from bron Breaker.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
So I mean, I'm not saying anything. Well, no, I
am saying, I.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Think you love this and you've gone all in on
the bron Breaker thing. I'm just saying, well.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
I've went all in on the bron Breaker thing. Not
because he's my doppelganger. Unfortunately I'm the older once he
looks like me with a better nose though we can
obviously see that. But we finally have a definition of
character for bron Breaker, and if he's going to be
an aggressive, bruising psychopath, I at least know who he is.

(11:55):
I mean, he'd been wishy washy where he had a
defense at least character in NXT. So I am glad
to see that we have a path for brown Breaker.
He could be your face. He could be your next
John Cena. Stop going both ways?

Speaker 2 (12:16):
Nah, that's too easy.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
Yes, I agree with you.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
Were you going both yeah? Okay?

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Was I know?

Speaker 2 (12:27):
But I was gonna go somewhere but there's no need
to go there.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
Yeah no, But that's that's what Triple H's creative has
been doing to us.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Yeah, a couple of other things real quick, but before
we really get into this, that that I wanted to
bring up AW. This past weekend, tickets went on sale
for Grand Slam Mexico. Those tickets are all sold over
sixteen thousand. Now, as they get closer to the event
and production is finalized, there could be a few seats

(12:55):
that open back up. But they legit sold that shit
out in one weekend. Kudos to them. Their first time
in Mexico at Arena Mexico, the CML venue, and they
went out and sold that some gun out.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
That is freaking awesome. Glad to see that the global
excitement for AW is there. And this one has been
a lot of work. When you think about the work
with cmml CMLL and the amount of Lucha doors they've
had on television. This has been a lot of Stone's
Lady to get this.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Path along those lines. And we don't have to start
with AW. But while we're talking about this, I wanted
to bring it up. Watching Collision Playoff Palooza on Saturday night,
it sure seemed to me like that was a direct
response to WWE buying Triple A they were luchador after

(13:54):
a luchador after a luchador after a luchador on that show,
And I'm not hating on it. It was just pointing
out something that I noticed, like.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
You can play out and notice that AEW came into
the wrestling world as this kind of United Nations willing
to be working with many different companies, and they found
a company in Japan and a company in Mexico and
company in the US that they kind of worked nicely with,

(14:24):
and then someone else thought that was a great idea.
So it's good to see that WWE watches what AW
is doing.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
Yes, sure, why the heck?

Speaker 3 (14:38):
Not? All right? Man?

Speaker 2 (14:39):
Where do you want to jump in at? You want to?

Speaker 1 (14:41):
Oh, you know what? Before we do that something you
and I were chatting about offline earlier today. TNA had
their Rebellion pay per view over the weekend and they
had they sold out over four thousand fans in Los Angeles.
Kudos to them.

Speaker 3 (14:58):
Yeah, congratulations. We love to see more successful wrestling companies.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
They had a fun event. The Nimath Brothers tag team
champions I believe Joe Henry Moose both retained their titles
and then there was Leon Slater. For the love of god,
somebody catch somebody when they're doing a high risk move.
I don't understand how six guys were grouped together and

(15:25):
they were all like, let's just take a step apart
right now, and it felt like there was enough body
to brace impact there. There was no need to fear guys.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
Well, when somebody's jumping that high up from from that
high up in the air and you got that many
guys down there to catch him, somebody should fucking catch him.
That was terrible. Poor dude.

Speaker 3 (15:49):
What was the guy who we laugh at for the
bad flip over the ropes? The dollar signed.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
Guy, top Dollar?

Speaker 3 (15:59):
Yeah, top, thank you. Did you see he moved to
the left and they're like stuck one arm back out
to the right. I'm like, what are you doing? Bro?

Speaker 1 (16:06):
They all look like you when we're out to dinner,
when we're you know, out covering an event or something
and we're out to dinner and the check comes and
you get those alligator arms like you're trying to reach
for it, but you're not gonna get your arms anywhere
near the check. And they're like, fine, I got it,
I'll put it.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
On the company card. It's all good.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Uh, and then all of a sudden, your arm grows
back to its normal size. That's what they all look
they all alligatored arm him. And yeah, thankfully, I don't
believe he got seriously injured or anything, so that's good.
But that could have been ugly.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
Probably worst time to bring up. I think I need
a company card.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
I'm gonna have to go ahead and deny that request,
but I admire your moxie. Not your moxley, but your moxie.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
Oh damn, my arms are just startening up again. I
don't know if I can respond to this one with
those short arms either way, though, Hena Drug some of
the most lively audiences they've had since the guys we
start off the show talking about we're in the mix.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
No, no, I agree, and good for them.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
I do think the relationship with NXT has worked well
for them. For anybody who questions why they would let
their champion Joe Hendry go out and jobb Derandy Yorton
in three minutes at WrestleMania, I think this is your
And I'm not saying that's the reason they sold that
venue out, but that's part of that exposure they've gotten
out of this deal, so I think it's worked out

(17:38):
well for them. You also had Ethan Page on that card.
You had Trick Williams with the run in at the end,
so you had some NXT folks there as well. Mike.
You mentioned, of course that the Hardy's were the tag
team champions. They lose to the Nimuth Brothers, so you've
got some TNA stars there.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
You also had some NXT stars.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
The oh my god, the who's the guy from they
used to be in w W E.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
Matt Cardona was no no, no, oh god, I can't
think it was against Joe Hendry who was.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
No no, no, no no no.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
Santino Marella no uh who fought Santana, Oh, mus Mustaf
That was a hell of a match, by the way,
I I had heard some things about it, so I
went back and tracked that down earlier today because I
needed to kill some time. That was a really good match.

Speaker 3 (18:39):
Well that's good to hear, because Mike Santana is somebody
that that, like Mustaf Ali has rolled the dice on himself,
was you know, very pissed at aw that he was
under used under Sir had a lot more to offer.
So if he is able to make more out of
her for himself. Glad to see that. I think Eric Young,

(18:59):
Steve maclan some other uh w.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
W E formers.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
We're also on the card. There's something now about an
international I think t NA champion or something.

Speaker 1 (19:09):
Yeah, Sean Walkman made an appearance. You had, like Kingo
on that. He was a part of that six Man
where they all alligated are my guy. But yeah, he
was there too, So you had a nice mix of
talent for sure.

Speaker 3 (19:25):
So do we envision one day where it's t n
x T T n A x T n x.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
N x T n A triple A true hold on
n x T N triple A. Yeah, I don't maybe,
I don't know, you know.

Speaker 3 (19:41):
Let's just call it what it's gonna be.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
N x T South, n x T south down in Mexico,
n x T North with t NA which is really
Canadian based at this point. Uh yeah, yeah, all.

Speaker 3 (19:56):
The n x T you can handle, all the n
x T that WWE still needs to sign free agents
to fill up their roster from all.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
Right, hear me out, Why go on a brief tangent,
what inside information does WWE have, Like I'm just pointing
out one of the former owners has a cabinet position
in the Trump administration. WWE working closely with the wrestling
organization based largely out of Canada. They just buy one

(20:27):
in Mexico. We know Donald Trump is talked about wanting
to annex Canada to make it the fifty first state.
What if he's looking at Mexico to be state number
fifty two and they're trying to get ahead of the
game here, we'll buy these companies and we'll avoid paying
the tariffs on these salaries because Donald Trump's just gonna

(20:49):
annex both countries anyway.

Speaker 3 (20:51):
Yeah, but we could at least dream that Trump would
want the Canadian people. The problem with Mexico is he
doesn't want the Mexican people.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
Well, it would be the fifty second state. Would there
be a wall up to keep people from going into
any of the other fifty one? I guess yeah, you're
probably right there. But if we were enterprising individuals, we
would very quickly open up wrestling organizations in Greenland and
at the Panama Canal. I'm just saying that might not

(21:19):
be a bad thing to do, Just like squatting on
a website or something or Twitter handle. At some point
in time, the person with that name. They're gonna come
a call in and we'll get a little something out
of it, just saying, do.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
You think they already have nxt n Z for New
Zealand already compromise? Do they already have that copyrighted? Or
you think we can get it, you know, just go
NXTGL for Greenland.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
Maybe maybe we just.

Speaker 3 (21:48):
You know, get out there ahead. So TKO has to
pay us a little bit of money back towards us.
I'm not sure what that giant's gonna eat next.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Uh, yeah, we'll see. It'll be interesting. All right, let's
get into some real wrestling talk from the past week.
You got a preference, you want to start AW, you
want to start WWE your call?

Speaker 3 (22:11):
I don't even have a preference. I was gonna let
you lead the dance.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
Well, in that case, let's start with AW. They had
Dynamite this past week.

Speaker 3 (22:20):
Are you surprised that it's Hater? Real quick? That Hater
is Monetie's adversary in the finals out the pay per view?

Speaker 1 (22:30):
A little bit, But at the same time, no, because
how many times can she beat Chris Statlander? You gotta
stop jobbing stat Lander out at some point, So I mean,
I guess that kind of kind of sort of made sense,

(22:51):
So yeah, I get it, I guess.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
Yeah, And now we build up to Hater versus Mona.
Like you said, it's fresh, it's new. I didn't fully
expect it, so I guess I'm kind of adjusting to
how these two styles are gonna work together and how
we're gonna build this as a tournament, so you don't
have to build so much. But you can feel there

(23:16):
there's a lack of chemistry from that first interaction they
were having yelling at each other.

Speaker 4 (23:22):
Yeah, yeah, I guess, but yeah, to answer your question,
in some ways a little surprised about Hater, but in.

Speaker 3 (23:32):
Other ways, nah, not really, which I thought that was
a heck of a match also with Chris Statlander, So
to see how that played out to give them the
main event spot on Dynamite to lead to this finals,
I also question that move. I was surprised to see
them get the main event, but you're trying to emphasize

(23:55):
the tournament, so I guess that didn't make sense to
the high stakes of the matchup.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
A W is not afraid to put women in the
main event, and typically they do it with women who
can go out and deliver. I had less of a
problem with that that I had kicking off the show
with master P. And I got nothing against master P.
I get it they were in New Orleans. But for
wrestling fans, when you see master P, the first thing

(24:25):
you think of is the No Limit Soldiers. The second
thing you think of is rap his crap, and God,
I wish Kurt Hinting were still alive so he could
come out and smack master P around. Where's Kendall Wendham
when you need him? Poor Bobby Duncan Junior. He's up
in heaven with with Kurt Hinting or whatever. So the
West Texas Rednecks aren't there. Yeah, I mean, but again,

(24:50):
I get it. But you could have done all that
just in front of the crowd before the show started.
I don't know that we needed master P on TV,
but I get it.

Speaker 5 (24:58):
I guess it always feels like AW just does these
things slightly off, Like they announced master P, who then
brought out the Trios Champions, and.

Speaker 3 (25:11):
I almost feel like it would have been better if
the Trios Champions came halfway out and they almost announced
that we're celebrating with Louisiana's own with New Orleans own
and had master P come out with them so that
it wasn't as weird with Shavanni to master P to
the ops. Or maybe I'm just I'm looking at it

(25:34):
a different light afterwards, like that didn't hit right. But yeah,
that's something that could have been done before the show
or after this show. I'm not really sure. I don't
know if people even know, and it was put out
all throughout the internet if you saw master P owns
House of Glory, So I'm not sure if many people understood,
you know, he does have a connection to the pro

(25:56):
wrestling role besides those old WCW days.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
Yeah, I think a lot of people knew that. I
had forgotten it until I saw it somewhere on social media.
I'm like, oh, that's right. Yeah. Unfortunately, I think the
first thing people thought of when they saw that, or like, oh,
w CW a less than faction with master P and
the No Limit Soldiers and where's the kiss demon? Is

(26:20):
he about to come out to the dude from the Misfits,
Jerry Doyle?

Speaker 2 (26:27):
You know?

Speaker 1 (26:29):
But again, I for the for the local fans, I
totally get it. Good to see Christian back on TV. Micah, Yes, sir,
go ahead.

Speaker 3 (26:39):
I'm gonna say. Once we built into the interaction with
the Bucks and Ocada and you had swerve and Omego
running them off. I thought by the end of it
the start was a bit better than just coming off
awkward with with master P. It got a lot better
as it cycled all the way through what we were getting.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
And the last two or three three weeks. Now, you
started off hot like that with all right, this group's out,
Oh my god, here comes so and so. Oh shit,
here's somebody else, Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
And you got that again after the master P hoopla.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
So yeah, there was that Christian backstage with Nick Wayne,
his little champion bastard. I guess, and I say that affectionately,
but yeah, I love.

Speaker 3 (27:28):
The glory stealing. I love the glory stealing of a
negligent debt father. I always knew I could take you
to these levels. Oh my god. Every chance to give
the kid a compliment, and he fathered him truly inspiring
stuff from Christian, And when Nick Wayne stabs him in
the back, it'll be well deserved. I just feel like

(27:50):
Christian will get the ultimate laugh laugh that stab in
the back will be like, was that a jello knife
you trying to hit me with?

Speaker 1 (27:57):
Kid? All I can say is, as the father of
a young child, very young.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
Every week dynamite.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Collision, I look to Christian Toward for parenting inspiration, and
he does not let me down. I cannot wait to
impart the wisdom and the knowledge that I've gleaned from
father Christian.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
Well, I'm sure a father like you will instill for
him to respect his elderly. I don't know though, if
that counts when they rock and roll or should it?

Speaker 1 (28:36):
Oh my god, I didn't need the rock and roll express,
but that's fine. What I did like Stokeley Hathaway being
with FTR, and here's why. He immediately explained why he
was there, what he had done to get them reinstated,
How unfair their suspension was.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
He brought out, how at aw.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
You Darby Allen can burn, Jack Perry Hangman can commit
Arson Rikoshekin stab people with scissors. John Moxley's damn near
a terrorist and FTR gets suspended for being mean to
Tony Shavani. I guess say what you want about Stokely,
and that's fine, Although I love him, say what you

(29:21):
want about the pairing, but they immediately made everything make sense.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
All those hooligans, all those heinous acts you mentioned, and
still FTR has got more physical with actual ae W
management and authority figures. I'm sorry, but I kind of
get the appropriation of the punishments. But you're right stokely,
well stokely or is it big stoke Now? I don't

(29:50):
think it's Hathaway anymore. I believe they dropped that part
from his name. He has earned his position with them,
but for being such an intellectual one. I was appalled
by his track suit. And two, if he's strong enough
to hold Adam Cole in place, I got to rethink
all those women's matches that he lost. I mean, I

(30:12):
just don't get like some of it, but I get
a lot of it. I do like it. And if
we're going all the way to collision, I think. I
was so mad at FTR. I was actually cursing at
my screen like I was a child again, Like ah,
ref just stop that from cheating. And then I caught myself.
I was like, hey, good job about you guys.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
I like that they had brody king team with will
Osprey against the callous family I think it's obvious they
like Brody King, they.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
Want to do something with him.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
They just don't really know what to do. But the
whole whatever they were calling the remnants of the House
of Black and I don't even remember now that's probably
gone by by hell. I don't even know what's up
with Buddy. Does he even is he hurt? Does he
even come back at this point? I don't know.

Speaker 3 (30:55):
One Hounds of Hell. Two I'm not sure seeing that.
But he was up in mobile with Ria at UFC
three fourteen in Miami. They were both there supporting fellow
Ozzy Alexander Volkonowski, and the man has been doing a
sliw of podcasts and social media, so I'm not sure

(31:19):
if he's injured or not.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
It could be or maybe he's just taken some time off,
or maybebe the writings on the wall we have to see,
I guess, Michael. We also had playoff Poalooza Collision after
the NBA playoffs, and just let me say AEW needs
to find a way for every episode of Dynamite and

(31:41):
every episode of Collision to come on after a basketball game,
whether it's NCAA tournament, like they did with a Collision
a couple months back that they did the Saturday Sunday
one hour each playoff Palooza. They did stupid numbers for them,
seven hundred and seven thousand people point two to one

(32:04):
in the demo. That is about about two hundred fifty
thousand more than the last Saturday episode. Remember the week
before was a Thursday airing. It was the biggest Collision
audience since July twenty ninth of twenty twenty three. And

(32:24):
we had talked a couple of weeks ago about the
two slam Duck Saturday and Sunday, where one was five
hundred and fifty four thousand, the other five eighty four.
Those were both well above the norm as well. If
AW can find basketball games to put their shows on after,
they're going to be swimming in the ratings.

Speaker 3 (32:43):
Tony Colin has to step up to the plate and
help turn her broadcasting whenever Big ten or acc basketball right.

Speaker 1 (32:52):
Right, come up?

Speaker 3 (32:53):
We need college basketball on Warner TV obviously to carry
over for Illusion, but it's a good area.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
Yeah, they had something like one point three million I
think at the beginning, which had Swerve Strickland and Blake Christian.
I think at this point you've learned, Hey, people will
stick around after basketball. So the next time you get
this opportunity, maybe and I'm not knocking this match or anything,

(33:24):
but start out hotter, kind of like you did with
Dynamite this week after you got the masterpiece shit out
of the way, and try to keep more than Now, look,
you still kept considerably more people than you typically have,
so you can't argue that it wasn't successful, because it
obviously was. But the more of those people you can

(33:45):
keep for longer, the better.

Speaker 3 (33:49):
I guess in retrospect, we shouldn't have had the Blake
Christian match and we needed to jump right somehow to
the Young Buck interaction. Yeah, and bringing in Omega. It
was a hot start, but it's it had to digest.
You had to get there again as we did on Dynamite,
where I felt it was a hot start. It's just

(34:10):
you had to get through that match first. And you
look at Blake Christian, you know he's not beating Swerve.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
Yeah. How many times do I have to watch mex
castor lose in two minutes to somebody? Look, I get it.
He thinks he's the greatest of all time and he sucks.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
Now what.

Speaker 3 (34:31):
That's what we're waiting for.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
Next.

Speaker 3 (34:33):
What shoe to drop? When does he become sad sack,
broken the gutter, Barren Corbin. I think that's the next
escalation of this character. How any of that helps him,
I'm not sure. We didn't see the Prime Time five
tool Player this past week. Not sure how any of

(34:54):
this is gonna help Anthony Bowens continue to ride. So
I'm still not sure about that. But what I I
am sure about is, like you said, it was luchitastic.
The other side was Hologram came out there and had
a spectacular showing against Max Cast. Well, this doesn't help
him at all. The man can sure sell his ass off.

(35:15):
Let's let's give credit to that. I have no more.
I don't think anybody can enjoy more getting beat up
than Caster because it's funny.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
Yeah it is. And as far as Hologram goes, there's
no doubt he looks great, and he does in the
grand scheme of things. I wouldn't have him on the
same level as Bandido or Drealistico, who we saw later
for the ROH title. There's probably another four or five
of those CMLL guys that I wouldn't put him on

(35:46):
quite the same level as But I get why Tony
kan is so enamored with him, I really do.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
Which you bring it up Bandido and Gregistiko was an
excellent match, and same thing when you got versus ar Fox,
So we really did get Luca tastic on the evening
we did.

Speaker 1 (36:06):
I put different styles, but i'd put Rush ahead of
Hologram as well. Yeah, a lot of and again I
don't think it was by accident. A lot of uh
Luca action on on collision for sure. You had FTR
with Stokely versus whatever the hell Roddy Strong and Fletcher

(36:28):
and Adam Kohler calling themselves.

Speaker 3 (36:31):
They are a paragon, a paragon.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
I don't even know what the hello paragon is, but AnyWho,
that was a fine match. I felt bad for the
Paragon because you knew you were having FTR lose, so
they were gonna have to do the honors. But I
enjoyed the match. Adam Cole comes out at the end
to try to stave off a beatdown that didn't work

(36:55):
so well, so Daniel Garcia comes out as well with
a crow bar to dry FTR away. Yeah that was
pretty fun.

Speaker 3 (37:04):
It was fun. It was fine. I just don't know
if I'm looking forward to Adam Cole as the TNT
champion tagging with the guy he just took that title
off of because now they're the two last standing nemesis
now of FTR. That feels kind of weird, but I
liked everything all in together. I almost kind of wish

(37:27):
that instead of seeing Rupunky Weis reformed in the back
nice promo looking fierce them attacking the Outrunners, that you
would have had the Outrunners versus FTR and we were
still kind of bitting to even the Paragon matchup, because
I think that we should have seen FTR kind of
roll over another team really and that would have been

(37:49):
good for the Outrunners position, and then to have a
more competitive match like in a week down the road.
I just wanted to see things build more before we
got to this point.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
I'm with you on that. However, I had no problem
seeing the Outrunners get beat down by Rocky Romero and
Trim Moeretta, a team that I have no belief in whatsoever,
and I like Bretta, but I just that screams middle
of the packet best. The Outrunners, I think, from a

(38:21):
popularity standpoint, have more than peaked that's not to say
there's not a place for them, but little comic relief
here and there, a little beat down. I don't know
that you need a lot more from them.

Speaker 3 (38:33):
You can't understand what you're saying about replaying Youvice. I
just think it came down to we have six guys
now randomly in the Callous family whose position is where
maybe Trent was going to be a singles competitor at
one point, but Fletcher's there, Takeshna is there. I guess

(38:53):
Callous now has a full time bodyguard. In having Lance Archer,
you're still gonna have an enforcer with Josh Alexander. It
made sense at least to bring back Replunkyvice to have
a tag team in the faction.

Speaker 1 (39:10):
Speaking of the Kallis family, this week, we get Kyle
Fletcher and Hangman Page in the semi finals of the
Owen Heart Tournament. The winner will face will Ospray at
double or nothing, with the title shot at all in
on the line. I think we just all assume we're
getting Fletcher Osprey. Should we maybe pump the brakes a

(39:31):
little bit on that assumption. You've done a lot with
Hangman Page. We know Hangman Page's spot in the company.
I don't know that we need to see another pay
per view with Ospray and Fletcher right now. I kind
of like the idea of Osprey and Hangman with the

(39:53):
title shot at all in on the line for double
or nothing.

Speaker 3 (39:57):
Thought I was gonna be able to surprise you with
that pick. That thought I was gonna be able to
jump you on it because I started getting the same thing.
Hangman is more of a made man, and we've been
down this road so many times. How could it be
the biggest match on a pay per view card if
it's one we saw. I don't know if Osprey and

(40:17):
Fletcher can top the cage match. So it'd make a
lot of sense to go in the Hangman direction and
quite possibly give the Callous Family a new target of
disdain because they can only attack Omega and Ospray so
many times.

Speaker 1 (40:33):
Right, and you're still building Fletcher. I don't know that
him losing, no matter how great the match is to
Ospray on pay per view, I don't know what that
does for him right now. So look, this is the
Callous Family. You can have the interference, it backfires, Hangman
gets the win and boom, he gets ospray at double

(40:54):
or nothing. I think that's easy, and I think that
makes a lot more sense when.

Speaker 3 (40:59):
I could holy see coming together. There's a lot of
tag teams. As we're mentioning a lot of tag teams,
they are cutting fierce promos, including the bad Apple and
the Redwood. The first target in their sights is the
Gates of Agony, so at least feel like we'll get
a boom from them for one week. But is there

(41:20):
too many tag teams for us to be able to
elevate all of all matt once right now?

Speaker 1 (41:25):
Earlier in that show, was it Don Kallas bragging about
putting Gates of Agony on the shelf like during the
Kallus Family matchment when he was at the commentary desk.
I'm pretty sure he did. And then a few segments later,
you've got the Redwood and the bad Apple call it
out and they call out the Gates of Agony. Well,
hold on, Don Kallis just told us they were out

(41:46):
of action. One of them's hurt. I didn't really get
all that. I'm not one hundred percent events that the
former Big Casts and the bad Apple are actually on
the same page.

Speaker 3 (41:58):
They both want to beat They both wanted to break people.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
I think I think, thank you, Big Bill. I can
think of Big Bill, I can think of was it
was Redwood? The bad Apple was right? Well, look, beating
up people serves both our purposes. We beat up people
and it'll make Jericho happy. My guess is you're teasing
that along until Jericho comes back, and then he tries

(42:22):
to make nice and then that doesn't go so well.
But we'll see on that.

Speaker 3 (42:31):
Is Ricochet the perfect fourth man for the new Elite?
Does he fit the Okada Young Buck Mold? We know
he's going to be a part of their eight man
tag team where Kenny Omega is replacing Will Osprey for
the four hundred thousand Dollar Club.

Speaker 1 (42:52):
I mean, I guess what the hell happened to Jack Perry.

Speaker 3 (42:59):
I just assumed he was in Japan with Anna Jay,
but she made a return before he did.

Speaker 2 (43:03):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (43:07):
I guess we'll see.

Speaker 3 (43:10):
Should MJF even want to be in the Hurt Syndicate?
I mean, I understand sometimes a business decision can cost you,
but the watch the car quite costly. Not to mention
that party he threw the Hurt Syndicate with the ladies.
This has had to be quite the tab he is

(43:32):
running just to become a member of a faction.

Speaker 1 (43:34):
The women might have been more expensive than the car,
just saying I.

Speaker 3 (43:39):
Don't think that MJF spends that much money on women.

Speaker 1 (43:43):
Well, he may not, but if he's spending it just
getting good favor of others, he might. I'm assuming he
gets in at some point. You almost have to you've
gone this long with U, sir. Yeah, he's definitely getting closer,
and he probably continues to get mistreated like this and

(44:04):
he goes along with it because whatever his reasoning for
wanting to do this, this gets him closer to his goal.
But yeah, my guess is he eventually gets in. MVP
tells him to keep trying to suck up and things
like that. Basically, they're just using him, but he's okay
with it because he's really using them and they just

(44:26):
don't know it. And he keeps getting misused while using them.
They're using him.

Speaker 3 (44:33):
There's gonna be a lot of use in this. You
see it being successful use, sir, unsuccessful use.

Speaker 1 (44:41):
I'm curious what happens when it all falls apart, because
I don't really know who Mjf's gonna have to side
with him against the Hurt syndicate. So I mean, I
I think that could get interesting.

Speaker 3 (44:57):
Definitely won't be Warlow. Apparently he canceled some independent dates
when we're covering from injuries, so he could go take
a meeting with WWE. I'm guessing that means he's still
under a contract with AW.

Speaker 1 (45:13):
Well, he didn't want anybody to know he was taking
a meeting with WWE. If he is still under contract,
you know, I got nothing against Wardlow, but for whatever reason,
it's obvious it ain't gonna work out in AW. So yeah,
I WWE is interested, and you can go, and you're
free and clear, go for it. Not saying he's not

(45:36):
talented and doesn't have a lot of potential. But if
AW has no plans for him anyway, is it really
a loss.

Speaker 3 (45:46):
No, not really. I just more interested in the thought
of is he a free agent? Is he not? Seem
like he kind of tried to do this under the
radar and then it got out. That's the more interesting
aspect of the story is that last time we saw
him there was a knee injury, and that would lead
you to assume that his time with the AAW was

(46:07):
put on hold as other injuries have done to guy's contracts,
and that really wouldn't make him a free agent out
there taking the meetings with other major wrestling organizations. That's
where more the topic approached me. Just interesting the timing.

Speaker 1 (46:24):
Yeah, I guess, I don't I don't know. I just
again and I don't have anything against Wardlow, but and
I realize he's been hurt, but Aw's had him under
contract for all this time. They just really haven't had much.
His crowning moment was when MJF was either on the

(46:45):
outs of the company or that's what everybody wanted you
to think, and he just went out and power bombed
the ever loving shit out of MJF at the pay
per view, and since then there's been nothing for Wardlow.
So I mean, again, not disrespecting the guy at all,
but I don't think other than maybe Wardlow took a
meeting when he wasn't legally obligated to or able to.

(47:08):
I don't think Tony Khan gives a fuck too much
if he loses Wardlow right now.

Speaker 3 (47:13):
I don't think so. Only other thing I was going
to bring up was and I don't know if there's
somewhere we can track this, but I want to say
injuries have been a large part of the narrative for
him of the last year year and a half that
there's been a knee injury, a shoulder injury, So I
almost can't blame some of the creative start and stop

(47:34):
on either side. It's one of those things where we've
heard people talked about it before. If you're not there
and you're not healthy, it's hard to get back in
that mix.

Speaker 1 (47:44):
But as long as he's been out, if Tony Khan
wants to play hardball, and we've seen him do this before,
he's well within his right to add time to that
contract due to injury. And if that's the case, because well,
when's the last time. It's been over a year since
we've seen Wardlow?

Speaker 3 (48:04):
Right, I thought he completely blew out his knee the
last time we saw him. I thought I read there
was a tour in ACL So it could be nine
months to a year since we've seen Wardlow in action.
And I'm not sure if you're able to find on
a website when he injured himself or when he was back.

Speaker 1 (48:24):
To the ring. His last match was March thirteenth, twenty
twenty three. It's been two years. If AEW wants to
keep wardlow, they can absolutely keep it. I just don't
think they do. Maybe I'm wrong on it, and maybe
you're right. Maybe if he's winning, if he's finally healthy,

(48:45):
they take a run at it, especially if they can
add some two years to whatever is on his contract.
Maybe they do that. I don't know. Maybe you add
six months, job him out to everybody and send him
on his way. The Tony Conway seems to be when
he decides to let them go like that, just go.
He's not big on jobbing guys out on the way out,

(49:07):
which in some ways I can respect, but I think
he does a disservice to his company at times with
that as well.

Speaker 3 (49:13):
Did you have any thoughts on Crew or the Planet
Jarrett promo? First time we've seen Jarrett j Big Satinam
and they're all mad at Sanjay. I guess it's his
fault that they're not getting booked. Did you have any
thoughts on those? Before we transition to the debuts or
the re debuts of guys in WWE from AEW.

Speaker 1 (49:37):
How can you be mad at Sanjay done? Come on?

Speaker 3 (49:42):
Because he looks like a dutty little motherfucker. I don't
I don't know what they're what they're bad at. He
seems like he's the guy with the pencil, so he's
the one that signs the contracts, and he should be
signing more contracts.

Speaker 1 (49:53):
And the man's got a pencil behind his ear for
crying out loud, how can you hate on that? I'm
curious that's where it goes. I do know this, and
I don't have the quotes in front of me, and
I'm way too lazy to look it up. But Jeff
Jared said some things on his podcast this week about
MJF that were less than flattering. If you don't regularly

(50:13):
listen to Jared's podcast, here's all you need to know.
Jared's not in the habit of trashing people, even if
he's got beef with them, so I can only assume
this is somehow going to be story relying related. It
was something about something through the effect of Mjf's not
a good person and people who work with him wind
up worse for it. You know, they had the brief

(50:34):
feud when he announced that he had signed his last
talent contract and wanted to win gold. My guess is
and maybe that's the answer. When the Hurt Syndicate and
MJF split, Maybe somehow or another, Jeff Jarrett's involved in that.
But my guess is at some point you're getting back
to that. I don't think Jeff Jarrett just went into

(50:54):
business for himself and trashed one of the biggest stars
in the company he works for.

Speaker 3 (50:59):
Nah, I don't think so. The Rock already smarted us
up to it, to us all up to the industry.
If you hear it, it's a work. If it's coming
from a wrestler, it's always going to be a work
if you're hearing it in public. And I guess I
could you know, agree with that it keeps the the
k fab alive, that this is all story that we're

(51:19):
that we're keeping hard on the industry to keep the
magic going.

Speaker 1 (51:26):
Anything else aw wis.

Speaker 3 (51:28):
I guess so if we consider still Alistair Black and
rus stuff to be aw wise, we do not over
at WWE.

Speaker 1 (51:36):
All right, two guys, two different things. We'll start with Rusceph.
I don't think Ruceph works without Lana c. J. Perry.
I'm assuming she'd be Lana back in WWE. I don't
think that the package is there I'm intrigued by the
return of Alistair Black. Ultimately, I don't know where it goes.
I see this either feuding with the Wyat six or

(51:59):
he gets in bed with the Wyat's six. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (52:02):
Russev is here to punish everyone that doesn't take full
advantage of their talent. What could scream more than working
with guys underneath you than saying I'm working with guys
that don't take advantage of their talent. So seampunk Roman
reigns seth rawlins. You were all safe from the Redeemer.

(52:26):
But all of these people that lose to Grande Americana
and weren't good enough to be chad Gables disciples, You
guys have a Russev to deal with. I don't know
if if that screams a lot of intrigue for me
and Alistair Black, I will wait and see. Because his

(52:50):
debut just screams familiar to me, like like literally, I
think he did that same kick to a guy in
a white suit when he debuted in ae W and
he might have done it once or twice before when
he debuted in in WWE.

Speaker 1 (53:14):
The first time, You think that was my accident? That
just so happy to be guy to white suit similar
kick because I don't.

Speaker 3 (53:24):
No, I don't, and it's all up to WWE not
to outd ae W. But it's up to WWE to
create a character that we care about this time. Because
Alistair Black was phenomenal in NXT. NXT champion was leading

(53:46):
the brand when the ratings were i'd say, more substantial
than they are now, and that all went by the
wayside when he got to the main roster. So the
same person that's leading creative now once was in a
creative position where this man was a crucial figure. Could
he be again? That's the challenge, right.

Speaker 1 (54:08):
And look, let's not forget he was incredibly over in
AEW like. It wasn't like a russep situation. He was
incredibly beloved and held belts there, so there's no doubt
fans have an interest in him. I think you hit
on the key thing. Though Triple H was booking NXT

(54:28):
at the time Vince McMahon was booking WWE, their opinions
on Alistair Black differed and that showed when he made
it to the main roster. With Triple H in charge
of WWE, Now maybe you do see more of the
Alistair Black that you saw in n.

Speaker 3 (54:47):
XT and we know it WWE at the top of
the card at the main event scene. I'd say could
use some help because us a lot of the higher
profiles characters are part timers. So anyone that you can

(55:08):
elevate that's gonna be around a little more often, the better.

Speaker 2 (55:12):
I would. I would agree with you on that.

Speaker 1 (55:15):
Do you like? Uh? Do you like John Cena's hair transplant?

Speaker 3 (55:21):
I really hadn't noticed.

Speaker 1 (55:23):
How could you not notice? He doesn't have the ass
print on the back of his head.

Speaker 3 (55:27):
Now because I didn't care about the big apple back
there before, I see it's a lot more covered up.
It just it didn't It didn't get to me as
much as the promos. I never thought i'd be hearing
Grandy Orton.

Speaker 1 (55:45):
One week.

Speaker 3 (55:45):
I hear voices in my head and they're telling me
to tell John Cena he should have children. What the
ship was that? Uh?

Speaker 1 (55:53):
I can't wait for backlash to come and go and
see who they throw it scene in next.

Speaker 3 (56:01):
Yeah SNCI is beating Randy Yorton. Yeah, that had no magic.
I want to compare this to like it should be
layer and sting, It should be that kind of we've
had that chemistry for that long, but that promo was
the dribbling shits.

Speaker 1 (56:18):
Speaking of drilling shits, our worst fears have come true.
As it relates to Gunther. My man goes from World
Champion whatever version of that belt he had to getting
ready to lose to Pack McAfee, not at Summer Slam,
but at Backlash. So in a matter of four weeks, ish,

(56:43):
you go from the top of the mountain to basically
the very bottom of the mountain. I don't care. Look,
and I'm gonna give Pat McAfee as due. He's a
great athlete, and when he's been in the ring before,
he's held his own and I'm sure they'll book this
match to make him look strong and not put him

(57:04):
in a position to look bad. But how the fuck
do you justify this if you're creative? So sorry, Gunter,
we got nothing for you. Go out and break Michael
Cole's nose. Let McAfee attack, you, choke him out, and
guess what you're gonna look up at the lights while
McAfee pins you at Backlash.

Speaker 3 (57:24):
I'm also just struck in by Pat McAfee and Michael
Cole taking their somber moment to remind the crowd that
they are professional sports journalists broadcasters and they should not
be put into physical contact. I believe they're both unbeaten
professional wrestlers at this point in WWE, and the last

(57:45):
time Michael Cole was this fearful for his life. If
he was really scared, he go back to bringing out
that stupid hockey penalty box to keep himself safe.

Speaker 1 (57:54):
Didn't Michael Cole have a WrestleMania match.

Speaker 3 (57:57):
That's where I said they're both unbeaten professional wrestlers.

Speaker 1 (57:59):
Yeah, against either j R.

Speaker 2 (58:01):
Or Jerry Lawler or some damn body.

Speaker 3 (58:04):
I think he beat both of them. Actually, maybe Pat
McAfee gets to look forward to eventually.

Speaker 1 (58:09):
Well, Pat McFee had wrestle inia moment. I think it
was the who the fuck did did Vince wrestle? Or so?
I think it was the year Stone Cold showed up
in Dallas.

Speaker 3 (58:23):
He bought he beat Baron Corbin.

Speaker 1 (58:26):
Well there was the one I think that he like
kept kicking a football in somebody's nuts.

Speaker 3 (58:32):
That wasn't Baron Corbyn. Broke Corbyn one of the Baron Corbin.

Speaker 1 (58:35):
It might have been. I don't know, but yeah, I
just maybe I shouldn't care. But how the fuck if
your gunther? What does this tell you about what WWE
thinks of you?

Speaker 3 (58:52):
Who cares what they think of me? I get paid
really well to be here, and I'll do whatever they say,
like the rest of the wrestlers that are happy to
be here and not be fired and making less money.

Speaker 1 (59:02):
I'm gonna say maybe it tells him, Hey, at least
I'm not carrying cross and trying one last ditch effort
to keep from being released again.

Speaker 3 (59:12):
I mean, is it carrying Cross? Okay? And you dare
said at WrestleMania, WWE made three stars The next night
after WrestleMania, Carrying Cross was the same little character this
past Monday night, I ra dressed up like Sammy's ay,
he got about thirty seconds of camera time being the

(59:36):
same little character. We want to have hope in carrying Cross,
and I just don't want to give the satisfaction to
WWE of cheering for him or booing for him, or
reacting when they finally decide to pull the trigger after
they should have for so long. I almost feel like

(59:59):
damned if we do and if we don't.

Speaker 1 (01:00:01):
By the way I broke down WrestleMania thirty eight, Pat
McAfee beat Austin Theory. Uh that was the way he
kept kicking in the nuts with the football. He also
at Wrestlemanti A thirty nine beat THEMZ.

Speaker 3 (01:00:17):
So oh, you mean the prestigious return opponent for Alistair Black.

Speaker 1 (01:00:22):
I guess, ouchy. I like, look, I hope they're going
somewhere with Carry and Cross. I really I don't think
it'd be the worst thing in the world to see
him in the new Dangerous Alliance or whatever we're calling
Paul Hayman stud these days Stable these days. That's probably

(01:00:44):
not gonna happen, though, But Carry Across is good. Anything
bad we say about Carry and Cross on this show
doesn't really have anything to do with Carry and Cross.
It has to do with the creative WWE gives to him.
Because I think he's a phenomenal talent. They just, for
whatever reason, haven't been able to figure out the right
way to use it.

Speaker 3 (01:01:05):
Exactly. And it just it feels like, how long can
you tell us that someone is less than? Dangle these
hopes of telling us these greater than and in about
eight years of being nothing, one day you're gonna snap
your fingers. And I guess we'll all believe he's something,
and it's a weird feeling where we've all known it,
but you've never allowed it to happen. I mean, Logan

(01:01:27):
Paul shows up and gets a world title fight, he
just calls for it. I mean, I guess that's better
than Naya Jack's attacking her way back to Tiffany Stratton.
But yeah, Logan Paul, Dude, day Uso, what the hell's that?

Speaker 1 (01:01:44):
I can totally envision a scenario where Logan Paul beats
Jay Uso and becomes whatever that world champion's called, WW Champion,
World Champion, WW world Well, I don't even know what
the fuck they called it, but whatever, I could see
that happening. The TKO ahead, honchos are I Look, the
biggest star in this company is Logan Paul. I'm not

(01:02:05):
talking about best wrestler because wrestling star. I was talking
about social media entertainment. The biggest star is Logan Paul.
Why don't we try to putting the belt on him?

Speaker 3 (01:02:14):
The only reason why I'm not doing it is because
did John Cena fully commit to showing up for every SmackDown?

Speaker 1 (01:02:21):
No, he's counting down.

Speaker 3 (01:02:23):
Then you gotta have one world champion that shows up
to work. I mean, Roman didn't have to gout kind
of did I feel? Oh god, my interest in w
W would wagne so much less of John Cena and
Logan Paul both take the belts and go to Hollywood?
Oh wow, there's just so much less to care about
on the show if the world titles never around?

Speaker 1 (01:02:45):
How quickly we forget When Roman Reigns and brock Lesner
both had WWE world titles and neither one of them
was on TV.

Speaker 3 (01:02:52):
Were we doing this podcast?

Speaker 1 (01:02:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:02:55):
Were we bill bitching about it? Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:02:57):
One of us was probably one of us was in
the the other one was trying to justify it.

Speaker 3 (01:03:03):
And and I might have just been actually happy to
not see brock Lessner or Roman Reigns. Actually I might
have been like, this is stupid. But then again I
don't have to see Roman Reigns or block Lessener, so
it's not that stupid.

Speaker 1 (01:03:14):
I mean, how do you have your prestigious US Women's
champion not a part of WrestleMania, and then the week
after Mania you just have her drop the title to
Zelena Vega? The fuck? I don't even know.

Speaker 3 (01:03:35):
I can't give you anything besides TRIPLEH like Zelna Vega
and isn't as much of a fan of Matt Cardona
making social media videos about well, she didn't get to
defend her title that WrestleMania, but she defendant WrestleMania weekend
in our bedroom. Maybe that cost her the title.

Speaker 1 (01:03:58):
That's a batch worth seeing Street Profits diy MotorCity Machine
Guns on SmackDown, that TLC tag match. Everybody saying, oh,
that should have been Onmania. That should have been Onmania.
It was a fabulous match. I don't know that they
would have gotten the time that they got if it
was on Mania, because you're shoe woarning it in there.

(01:04:20):
Regardless of where it should have been, it was on SmackDown,
and it was fantastic.

Speaker 3 (01:04:25):
It was fantastic. It was a really bad, I mean
a really good match, And I just trying to get
the memory out of my head of the Street Profit's
entrance out of my mind because I can't see montes Ford.
Just is this the best? Is this the Shawn Michael's
impersonation you all wanted? I mean, from from the from

(01:04:46):
the top he had on to the way he came out,
I feel like he was Halloween HBK.

Speaker 1 (01:04:53):
We that's funny. We touched on it earlier, Micah, but
your thoughts on the interaction on Raw with Seth, Rollins
and Hayman and Breaker and Sammy's ay.

Speaker 3 (01:05:05):
I thought it made a lot of sense. I thought
that you could see Seth tried to appeal to Sammy.
It is funny how Sammy calls out Seth. But Seth
was in factions actually before Sammy was, so I don't
know how he could say that Seth was being a hypocrite.
Chris Seth has always kind of been this psychotic architect

(01:05:27):
of violence. I remember that when he was doing what
was best for business. So funny though, when Sammy's mad
about this, it's like he forgot he was a part
of the bloodline and was a maniacal henchman for a
good couple months. But it all made a lot of sense.
They gave Sammy the offering, he turned it down as
a face asked to do because you can't tuck tow

(01:05:49):
and ran away, And then you got to see that
evil side come out of Ron Breakers. So I thought
it did a lot of good.

Speaker 1 (01:05:58):
By the way, to backtrack you a little bit, I'm
calling it now next year's WrestleMania. One of those nights
is headlined by WWE champion Logan Paul versus Jake Paul.
Take it to the Bank. Look here it is, dude,
it writes itself. Logan Paul wins wrestling world title before

(01:06:20):
Jake Paul can win a boxing world title. Jake Paul's pissed.
He's there to congratulate him, but he beats his brother down,
and I know you're rubbing your eyes.

Speaker 2 (01:06:30):
You're like, oh my god.

Speaker 1 (01:06:32):
I'm not saying it's gonna be good, although my guess
is it'll be entertaining. I'm not saying I want to
see it. But if you're looking for eyeballs, hey, you're
gonna be hard pressed to draw more eyeballs than by
book Kington booking. That just saying.

Speaker 3 (01:06:52):
I will not have to watch the main event of WrestleMania.
That's all I heard from you. You'll will be able
to give us a full recap on that one. I
don't know if i'd see Jake. I don't think he's
as agile. It doesn't have the same agility as Logan.
I don't know if he would take to the pro
wrestling in some of the ways that his brother has

(01:07:14):
I questioned that more question that than if they could
both be boxers. Actually, because they're just going out there
and throwing punches, maybe it happens. I don't know. WW
loves big Stars.

Speaker 1 (01:07:26):
Yes, I don't disagree with you, but I don't think
it matters because all you got to do is go
out there, put together one match and have a couple
of high spots of some sort. And I don't necessarily
mean jumping off the turnbuckle to the outside on top
of the table and then do it a hurt and
rona on somebody or some shit like that. You just
got to have a couple of memorable spots and they
could come up with that. Again, I'm not advocating it,

(01:07:50):
but if they do put the belt on Logan Paul,
and maybe they don't. Maybe I'm putting the cart before
the horse here, but if they do start looking for
the clues, you're gonna get at Paul Brother versus Paul
Brother at WrestleMania.

Speaker 2 (01:08:05):
But we can talk about that another day. Micah. Tell
everybody how then keep up with you.

Speaker 3 (01:08:11):
You want to continue the pro wrestling conversation, let's do
so on X at Frankle Micah, where I got one
question for you guys to contemplate. Is the women action
in NXT better than on SmackDown? Just think about that.

Speaker 2 (01:08:24):
The answer is no.

Speaker 1 (01:08:26):
Actually, I will think about it because you might be
onto something. Get the show on ex at PW After Hours.
You can find me at real Mike Carlisle. We will
talk to you next week for another episode of Pro
Wrestling After Hours. You're on the After Hours podcast Network.
