Speaker 1 (00:06):
What's up, everybody? Welcome back to pro wrestling After hours
on Michael Carlisle, joined as always by Micah Franco. Micah
was shaken, Man.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
The WWE universe is shaken because John Sena's a racing history.
One orton at a time.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
I mean maybe I was gonna go one our truth
at a time, but so does that mean we don't
have to acknowledge our truth? Forty seven twenty four to
seven title reigns.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Because is the greatest achievement ever? Now is keeping see
us safe?

Speaker 1 (00:42):
I guess we'll get into back line.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Did John Cena become Roman reigns? That match felt eerily
reminiscent of a lot of things I've seen before without
having a bloodline. It was like the entire management team
took over Paul Hayman's role and our truth was Jimmy
and Jay. I guess or am I making too far

(01:11):
off a leave here?

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Here's my big takeaway from this, and maybe it should
have been obvious before now there Look, there was a
reason Vince McMahon never wanted to turn John Cena heel.
I think we know what that reason is now. It
wasn't the make a wish kids it wasn't the oh,
he might not move his March merchandise whatever, whatever. John

(01:36):
Cena can't be a heel, and look, I'm not knocking
him for that. They're many a great wrestler who and
I realize when he first started there was some helishness
to Sina, but by and large for his career he's
been a beloved fan favorite for a reason. Sting was

(01:56):
never well early in his career. He is a little
bit of bad guy, but by and large always good guy.
Ricky Steinbau, I mean, there's lots of those guys. So
I'm not dissing John Cena for not being good at
being a heel, but he's not good at being a
heel Micah, and that's a problem because that's kind of
where you're going right now.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
He's a heel. I just it felt like there were
some If I said that was three different matches pushed
into one, does that feel accurate, because it felt like
we had like a traditional heel like nineteen eighties match,
transform into like a hardcore match, transform into a Roman

(02:39):
Reigns match.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
What we needed is after Randy Orton rchaoed everybody in
the building and before our truth came out. We needed
like a three minute interlude for like Travis Scott to
show up and walk his slow ass down to the
ring like he did at WrestleMania, to let everybody catch
their breath and regroup and then get to whatever finish

(03:01):
you were gonna do. I can't believe I'm saying this.
What this match on Saturday was missing was the Travis
Scott three minute walkout in the middle of it.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
It felt like they needed breaks. They're kind of old,
they need to work slow, they need to get their breaths,
and yeah, I just wasn't inspired. And we all knew
that John Cena was gonna walk away with the victory.
So it was what it was. And if it's the
last time John Cena and Randy Orton wrestle, you know

(03:31):
what you know. It also took away some of the
magic for me. I didn't realize that they're like, it's
been eight years since these two wrestled. I don't think
that Sting and Flair when they were active, went like
eight months without wrestling each other.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
They might not have gone eight days for like about
four years.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
So yeah, the fact that this was so important but
hadn't been revisited for almost a decade, and then it
quickly reminded me that Randy Orton hasn't been relevant for
that decade except for it neither a scene of losing
these title matches. It felt very obvious how this was
gonna go. And I don't feel like this gave if

(04:10):
you were a Sena Orton child growing up and this
was your for me stingflair, I don't think it gave
you those nostalgia you know, good vibrations you were looking for.
So I don't know what master this served. It was
this for the young kids, the nostalgia audience. It felt
like it was built for the nostalgia, but it didn't

(04:32):
deliver in that echelon.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
It did not. Uh here's and I'm gonna give you
all the credit in the world. And I'm also gonna
paraphrase what you said because I don't remember exactly.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
But.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
It was something to the effect that in a span
of thirty seconds, our truth became more important to this
story than the Rock ever was exactly. That's a problem.
You're one hundred percent right, but that goes back to
the bigger overall problem. The Rock bailing on this has

(05:06):
really effed up the whole scene that he'll turn. I
get they don't want to rush Cody back and change
from whatever they were gonna do. But this ain't going well, Micah,
It's just not.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Also, something about Travis Scott missing does stand out because
is he obsessed with Cody? Like you got a fetish man,
you got a Cody thing going on? Like why is
Travis Scott only showing up for Cody attacks? Seena doesn't
even acknowledge what this friendship, this mutual agreement is. Where

(05:41):
is Travis Scott? Why was he important? He wasn't important.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
I don't get it.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
I also, just from another perspective, with the eight hundred
officials that Randy Wren rkao'd.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
He killed more people than the Wyatts six did when
they debuted Micah.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
I gotta give it to the referee that was knocked out.
He's knocked out, he looks around, there are bodies everywhere,
there were people concerned about his safety, and he says,
screw all of you. John Cena needs a three count.
I mean, I understand it's pro wrestling and everything, and
who else would have seen it any other way? But

(06:20):
I don't know. There was several different concepts that were
put together in this match, and I don't know if
they fully fit together.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Why Look, let me be really clear, I like Our
Truth in his prime, and most WWE fans don't even
realize this and never will. In his prime he was
as good as anybody in the world his heyday, just
before TNA TNA and all that he legit was at

(06:50):
this point in his career and the way he's been
treated as a comedy character for years and years in WWE,
Why the fuck is our Truth turned it into the
main event and directly affects the outcome of this match
That to me made no effing sense whatsoever.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Oh, it made perfect sense to me from the storyline
of Our Truth. Has been a fan of John Cena
since he was a little boy, and he was there
to defend his hero, John Cena. And for weeks he
had been getting in Randy orrens way telling him how
John Cena was gonna beat him. So if any little
kid was gonna jump over the barricade and run in
there to save Big Jimmy, now that he's not invisible,

(07:32):
I mean he was little Jimmy invisible now Johnny's not invisible.
It was gonna be our truth. It made all the
sense in the world. What makes no sense in the
world to me is why is Randy Orton a better
punter than Pat McAfee. Like that was Pat McAfee's most
prestigious job. It led to all of his other jobs.

(07:53):
But yet, if Randy Orn's gonna punt somebody, it's a
horrendous tragedy. Guntherer looked at that shit like, huhpe it away, man, this.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Goes gone through is a bad man. But no, dude,
you could have gotten anybody from the back and they
grew up a sena fan.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
But none of them announced it like our truth. None
of them has went to battle John Cena like our truth.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Here's the problem that.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Jimmy didn't come out and attack our truth because Jimmy
USO was, you know, right there every step of the
way stopping Randy Orton from That's whose fault this is.
It's Jimmy USO's. If Jimmy Usso would have just never
gotten Randy's way, Randy would have taken out Our Truth
long ago. So now we have to have it on.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
Here's the problem. Did you just tell me that that
little Our Truth was a Sena fan growing up.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
I know he's older than him, don't.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Yes, he's fucking five years older than John Cena.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Let's not also forget that the Mizz and Our Truths
whole friendship back in the day was based on destroying
John Cena. But he's a John Cena fan.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
And look, there's nothing wrong with this, but John Cena
or not, John c I'm sorry our truth lot in life.
Basically his entire WWE run has been comic relief. He
is a cross between Eugene Golga, Duke the Dumpster Droe. Well,

(09:22):
I guess we can't say him anymore, but you get
my point to me. Him being inserted here just shows
we're grasping at straws here because we don't know what
to do. This John Cena Hill turn ain't working, so
at least afterwards, when Sena takes him out, the fans
will be upset about it because they love poor almost

(09:46):
simple our truth. I mean other than that, I don't
but whatever it's.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
You were right with that first thing you said. They've
been grasping at straws ever since. Okay, so we'll go
back to it. Dwayne Johnson already told us on Pat McAfee.
He decided, hey, guys, after my appearance, I'm good. You
guys got this. I'm gonna roll out well. Also, I
think on an appearance on a Pat McAfee show, the

(10:17):
Rock is the one that told us it's a work.
It's all always a work. Anytime that any pro wrestler
opens their mouth in public, it is a work because
that is the industry. So with that pre then thought
of excuse that they could have it, what would you
dare without any knowledge of it? Want to speculate is

(10:40):
the real reason that Dwayne Johnson took his ball and
went home.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
Dwayne john honestly just speculate he wants to run it
all or he wants no part of it. I think
he played nice. He got the trademark for the Rock
back and all that and all that, and now he's like,
I'm gonna do what I want and you guys are
either going to tolerate it or I'm going to see
if you got the balls to fire me and then

(11:07):
see what happens when theoretically I can go anywhere I
want and be the Rock. Not saying that he would
go to aw or anywhere or go start another company,
but he got his trademark back, which was invaluable to him.
And yeah, now he's just in a situation where I'm
gonna do what I want. You guys are gonna like it,

(11:28):
and if you don't, fucking fire me.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
So when you say you guys, you're talking about the
rest of the board of direction, Yes.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Yeah, yes, I'm talking about Tkoh yeah, I'm not even
talking about just because I don't think trumple H could
fire him if you wanted to. But yeah, im talking
about the board. Yeah you don't like it, remove me
from the board. Let's play this out. Let's see what happens.
The problem is for Rock, for Dwayne the way this
has played out, I don't know how many fans would
be upset if TKO kicked him to the curve like

(11:57):
this power play was, assuming that's what all this might
have backfired, and I can only assume that's what it is,
because I don't see a scenario where this could be
leading to something involving Rock and Triple H, just because
from a health standpoint, I don't think Triple H could
get in the ring, even in like a tag team

(12:17):
match or something where he had to do very little
other than stand on the apron and looked pretty. So
I don't think you're really leading towards a storyline per se.
So I can only assume either the Rock just does
what he wants or something happened along the way and
he's like, nah, I'm good, screw all this.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
I just think that for me, the value of the
Rock as a n WWE character or not, many people
are gonna agree with me. I lost the value Postina
it was you had one thing that you could have
done for me Roman versus the Rock. Let's see who
the real tribal chief is after that.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Well, look, and we don't have to spend a ton
of time on this, so we could really break this down.
The Rock coming back a year ago actually started all
of this. Rock had a plan, the fans had other plans,
and they had to pivot. I don't look, I got
nothing against the Rock. I'd much rather him be there

(13:15):
than not be there. But his triumphant return and all
that hasn't really gone the way he wanted it to,
and I think that probably bothers him some as well.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Final Boss character has not on went over. It's that
proverbial fart in church, as you like to reference. I
don't feel like anybody would miss that character. If The
Rock wanted to come back and be the Rock, I
think people would indulge that. But part of the Rock
being back is even have to be back, because even
when he was back, he really wasn't back.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
Right right right right right, Gumpter, Pat McAfee, your Comaine event.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
I am incredibly disappointed with where I thought this would
go because I thought that this be a rebuild for Gunther,
re establish him, and the match did that for me,
but it diminished when Pat McAfee returned, no bandages, no LMB.

(14:14):
He's quite energetic. You just went through hell with Gunther,
and you look pretty fine from everything, ensuing not to
mention this was a number one contenders match.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
I don't know how this was a number one Contenders match,
and apparently was. I'm aware. I'm just happy that Gunther won,
not necessarily because I like Gunther or don't like Gunther,
but the man was just your heavyweight champ. To have
him go out and lose to the announcer and I
get it, McAfee, former NFL player, even though it wasn't
Hunter and all that, I understand, but you couldn't have

(14:52):
Gunther lose.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
That was still way too competitive of the match for me,
and it was still my thought was this is the
wrong time for this match, because I assume you do
this closer to the start of football season, so we
have an excuse why Pat McAfee is injured and is
not returning for several months to his commentator duties. To
have a little skirmish with Gunser. Oh my god, like

(15:15):
you saw Wade Bart, Oh my god, we needed that.
That bothered me. Actually, we need to get help for
Pat McAfee and Michael Cole gets in the ring in
McAfee is right away taking a bow for his performance.
I really felt that undermined the fearsomeness that we're supposed
to feel about Gunther, who's the scarier at this point

(15:36):
than Gunther. Maybe at least his damage sticked how Dies
thee otis last week, Okies was injured and out because
of getting beat down. But you see what I'm saying,
at least from the psychology standpoint.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Of yeah, no, no, I'm with you, I'm with you.
Dominic my stereo uh defeats Penta to retain the Icy title.
Yes title, icy title, He's icy. Yeah. I was afraid
they might pull the trigger here on Penta, which I've
got no problems that. I like Pinta a lot, but

(16:10):
I think the stereo with the belt, you got something
going right now. So I'm glad they stuck with that.
Didn't mind the outside interference and all that. That's fine.
Finn balor Elgrande Americano interfere to to help dominate keep
the belt, I was fine with that. That also helps
keeping Penta looking strong.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
So I feel like there's three bears, like do you
know the old Goldie loss of the three Bears that
you could look at that a lot in the WWE
right now now, and I could say this one match
fit that scenario perfectly. Dom mixed stereo, the smallest of
the three bears, the young one. A lot of potential there.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
Okay, by the time, throughout.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
The match and the next night, both commentary teams have
highlighted to a nauseating point the amount of in ring
improvement from Dominic mysterio, And as they keep going on
with that, it felt like to me it just it
exemplifies the full issue with WWE. We got way too

(17:16):
many guys that aren't ready to be there. Because when
you're talking about dominic mysterio j Tiffany Stratton, how could
go on and on and on about how they're improving.
You're like, don't you got a full fucking farm system
so that we have ready made products. Then you could
go to the other side where dare I say? And
to remind everybody, Aw's only been around for five years.

(17:38):
Penta was only not available for WWE for the last
five years. For before that, his entire career, they could
have scooped him up out of any contract they wanted to.
He almost feels like the eldest Bear and a two
don project because on Monday Night, specifically, when Penta took
the step from the turnbuckle to that extra column, it

(18:02):
looked like he was like a sixty year old man.
When he did the cross body block. He didn't actually
jump off that thing. He kind of fell off of
it and went towards dom And I feel like we
need more Chad Gables in WWE, because Chad Gable a
grand name at Connell. I don't care what you talk
about him. Right now, he's that metal bear. He's the

(18:23):
one that's just right right now. Where his promos, his wrestling,
his everything, his character work looks like what you would
think as a nostalgic fan of what a WWE superstar is,
because we've all been led to believe that WWE superstars
in a sense are the krem Dela Creme. There was

(18:44):
a point when Vince started the promotion where he stole
all the best guys that were in their primes from
all the other regional promotions, and they were at their peaks.
Chad Gable feels like a peak dominic mysterio feels like
ascending and Penta will he is growing and still rising
to this crowd. I feel like he's not the best
pent that we've ever seen.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
Uh. Your obsession with Bears aside.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
Somebody makes me listen too Bears one cave too much.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
I don't Uh yeah, I don't know you're talking about there, Micah,
I hear you, and you're entitled to your opinion. So
Pinta on a high flying, daring move looking a little ginger,
shall we say you had a problem with but fucking
mister former NFL pat McAfee tripping trying to jump over

(19:36):
the goddamn top rope. That didn't bother you at all.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
Oh it bothers me to know it And That's why
I was again, this man.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
Not a full time wrestler though, So that so Boere's
Pinta is. So maybe you can be forgiven for tripping
over the damn rope trying.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
To was that a number one contenders?

Speaker 1 (19:53):
I don't, Yeah, I don't. Pentta is only forty, so
I mean, it's not like he's a beat down old man. Now.
He's had a lot of matches, a lot of high flying,
a lot of you know, impact type maneuvers and all.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
That's what I'm just saying is that thirty to thirty
five year old Penta might have been and I'm not
even it probably was peak prime athleticism Penta. We're talking
about coming out of Luca Underground, really hitting the cerameto,
which I think they said a seven different ways to
the commentary team. Someone give those guys a Spanish lessing.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
That now, at.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Forty years old, he's had some mileage from those those TNA,
the Lucha Underground, his world title reign days where it
seemed like he was at his peak right before I'd
say aew started, where he had his most popularity as
a single star.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Outside of this run, now you had Lyra Vakira versus
Becky Lynch for the women's icy title. All right, if
we're talking about things that bother me, now, match itself
was fine. Hell, it was actually really good. How in
the hell am I supposed to take Valkira Seriously? When

(21:09):
she walks out with those goddamn bird wings on, she
looks like a let's say they're there. Let's say you
and I were starting a minor league baseball team, micah,
and we got new affiliation with a major league club,
so we're going really low here. It is like low

(21:31):
a rookie ball, mean, maybe even like a short seasonal
aluminum bat collegiate players type league thing. Oh.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
I was about to say the Carolina Coles because that
was the smallest.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
That's that's that's basically what it is. And we're looking
at old videos of mascots and and we see the
San Diego chicken and we're like, dude, that's what we need.
Only problem is we can't afford a damn San Diego
chicken mascot costume, so we have to out in the
garage and make our own mascot costume. That's why Valkira

(22:04):
looks like and look, I understand what it's supposed to
symbolize and all that, but the reality is it looks
like a really cheap ass, fucking muppet. That's a problem.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
Oh wow, yeah yeah, I didn't even go all there,
but sorry, it just does. Lyra Valkeria's wings are a
fall cry and fall from the fallen angel. I mean, Athena.
We've seen her walk out with a multitude of different
wings back.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Not a fan of hers either, but they look better than.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
This, that than the arms out. I don't I don't
know why she's a bird. I don't know what that
has to do with her character. And I thought her
boyfriend was the nerdy guy from Barstool Sports.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
I thought that they were gonna say that Becky Lynch
was attacking a media member not I was surprised when
they said Lyra Valkyria's boyfriend significant other not to mention
just to me. I understand accidents happened, but uh, Lyra
Valcaria just doesn't look tough. Holding in her nose through

(23:14):
the submission, through the pin, through trying to hold up
the belt, it felt like, you know, if she's affed up,
let's rush her out of there, and you know, just
being able to hold Becky Lynch with one arm because
her face is messed up. The whole thing just didn't
hit for me. Where I know there are obviously probably
a portion of the young fan base that is all

(23:36):
about Valkyria, but didn't do anything for me.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
Well, good news, Wika, that few probably ain't over, so
you got that to look forward to. We kicked off
the show Jacob Fatu versus Drew McIntyre versus La Night
versus Damian Priest for Fatu's US title. I'm glad they
resisted the temptation to take the belt off of Fatu
without having him lose, which is typically why you do

(24:01):
title matches involving multiple guys. This was an interesting match,
of course, probably more interesting for the debut we saw
during this match. In the aftermath of the match.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Everybody got their stuff in, everyone got to hit their finishers.
No one looks weaker from the Jeff Cobb interference. He
now debuts the Samoan Dynas and Dynasty now includes Sky's
from Guam. I guess you had to start to reach
outside the family. We had already talked about that for
higher level workers, they were going to need to go

(24:35):
in that direction. Hell of a worker, great collegiate wrestler
and strongman in Jeff Cobb. I wonder what his limits
are going to be in WWE, because again he's like
my height.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
Dude, you just stole them with Thunder. I like Jeff
Cobb a lot.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
A lot, but he's so much smaller than than Solo
Socoa from that height resistance. Like you saw how he
had to jump into that Vader bomb or Vader splash
against the guardrail. It just didn't look fearsome to me.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
He's five to ten, that's what he's listed as. Probably
means he ain't quite five ten.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
That means he's five eight. No.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
Now, look that being said, Rhino was also five ten,
and that's who he gets compared to a lot A
look is very similar and be somewhat similar style, and
Rhino made a pretty damn good career at being built
as five tens.

Speaker 2 (25:32):
You know who else he shares a build with? Who's
that otis not.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
As wide as Otis. Otis might be taller too.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
Oh wait, so Otis is wider and taller.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
I can't believe you're making me google Otis to find
out how tall he is.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
So is that a detriment to otis that he's built.

Speaker 1 (25:48):
Otis also five to ten by the way, never mind,
so so never mind. Yes, I guess when you have
that much more girth, it makes you look taller. I
don't think that's how. As a girthy man myself, I
can tell you that, Denny, how that works the other way.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
It sounded a whole lot better when you said he's
rhino size. Then I pointed out that that's also Otis.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
Stands right, yeah, but yeah, so, Uh, Jeff Cobb shows
up there in the crowd. He attacks l a night,
looks a little confused. Doesn't mean he didn't take the pen,
but uh, they teased a little. Is all well? In
Bloodline World.

Speaker 2 (26:30):
Whatever this faction is called, it's obviously that Jacob Fatu
and Solo Sikora and not seeing eye to eye. Jacob
believes he can get things done on his own. Solo
is just there to help. And I think at this
point now we're transitioning Solo back into wanting having control
of the power. And now Jacob Fatu is obviously concerned
about Solo because you're making plans without him and pulling

(26:53):
things out of nowhere that you didn't know were possible.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
Yeah, interesting, interesting backlash was fine for a Saturday Night's
main event. Yeah for a SmackDown for Actually, if it
was SmackDown, it will be a little longer.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
For a raw.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
You know, I said this last week. I think outside
of the big pay per views, WWE looks at the
smaller pay per views the same as they do bigger
raws and smackdowns, the same as they do Saturday Night's
main events and things like that, and probably a little
less than they look at Saudi Arabia shows.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
I would have to agree with you at this point.
Most of the p l e's or just Saturday night specials,
it's just extra content.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
This here's and I don't even mean this is a
not necessarily, it's just an observation. Outside of their big
pay per views, it seems like what they've very slyly
done is turned the other pay per views into in
your houses. Remember those that the small mini pay per
views that they still charged you for but it was
less and you got that. That's kind of and again,

(27:57):
look that's fine, you're getting it free on PA. I
don't know why I pointed at my TV that's off
that's where I usually watch the cock at Micah, I
never watched where I watched Peacock app Maybe I should
say fuck, but yeah it's yeah, look again that's fine.

(28:20):
But but again you're you're not dropping fifty sixty bucks
on it, So I mean, you do whatever, I guess.
But when you see five matches on the card going
into it, you just kind of know. And one of
those is Valkira and Becky, and one of those is
you knew Scena wasn't losing. You knew worst case scenario

(28:46):
either fought to or Dominic would lose, but certainly not
both in the end either do Yeah, it was, I
mean it was. The action was fine, I guess for
the most part. But it was this paid. If you
didn't watch it, you don't need to go out of
your way to run home and fire up your Peacock
and grab a replay of it. Put it that way.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
Monday Night Raw one thing to ask you about. Sure,
we've got Rollins, We've got Breaker. We know that Saturday
Night main event. Now Sammy Zay CM Punk Tag team
Match main Event. Jay Usso has also been aligned with
Sammy and Punk. Is there a third man coming for
the Rawlins Breaker faction or does the fact that there's Logan,

(29:31):
Paul and Gunther in the wings divert jay Usso away
from this, and the Rawlins faction is just him, Hayman
and Breaker.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
I think that Hayman faction is what it is. I
don't think it's growing.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
Just want to throw that out there. Many people have
been speculating will there be a third man, and I
started thinking, unless it was gonna be Jeff Cobb, I
don't think there's gonna be another one. I don't even
know how that would have worked, but just speculating somebody
that was ready to work all already there. I don't
know how you move somebody else, unless maybe like they
try to rebirth Ludwick Kaiser. But I think there's enough

(30:07):
going on for jay Uso that you'll take him out
of the picture, get past the tag team match, and
then bring seth Rawlins back into the crosshairs of jay Uso.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
I'm with you on all that. Yeah, I don't think
that faction is growing. I don't think it's going to
become a dangerous alliance two point zher not a bloodline
three point oh or whatever. It's just yeah, these are
my guys, the guy and the soon to be the guy.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
Well you could see the wear story line. Why some
would speculation, Oh yeah, guy, because is this leading towards
an inevitable six man tag here? And I just feel
like they're gonna divert Jay away enough that there's no
need for the six man tag.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
Match preor Yeah, probably.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
Ready to jump on over to uh ae W, where
if you're surprised, there's still actually quite a bit of
runway to build up before a double or nothing there.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
Yeah, there is a I don't leaving WWE for ae
W is the greatest thing Rickychet has ever done, just
the way he's use Look, I'm not saying Tony Kahan

(31:27):
is gonna put the aw title on Rickychet one day.
Hell he may never actually have a belt, but that
guy has gotten more exposure and he's embraced this heel character,
and the fans have embraced hating him. They had fucking
Zach Gollan ringside on Wednesday. My man taunted Gallan. He

(31:49):
comes into the ring to try to save the security guard.
He takes Zack Gowan's leg. For those who don't remember
that Gallon, I think he had a cup of coffee
in WWE was he was in TNA as a young
child lost a leg. I believe to cancer overcame that
fulfilliti dream of being a professional wrestler. He has a
prosthetic leg. My man, my man, ricochet takes his leg

(32:15):
and walks off.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
With it, raised it like a trophy, and then, to
add insult to air injury, hoppled away on it, sticking
his knee into the open socket hole and hopping down
the ring. That is the heel most cringe worthy restling
shit I've ever seen a.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
Look. I always assumed if you were married to Samantha
Irving that that was going to require having a third leg.
I just didn't realize it was going to be Zach
Gowan's leg. That was the third leg. Took you a
second to connect those dots. Why kid, did it?

Speaker 2 (32:55):
I didn't know that you were that deep into Samantha Irving.

Speaker 1 (32:59):
That was actually well, not as a ricochet. But keep
setting me up, Mike, I will knock him out of
this is fucking bat and practice. My man, do you
lob him in here. I'm gonna hit him out of
the park. You were not not, no.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
Not as deep as you could go.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
Oh no, there's no sense in lying and talking nonsense.
But but no, in all seriousness, who's a more dastardly
guy right now? In a w And I'm not talking
about like mean badass. I'm just about dastardly. I hate
this fucking.

Speaker 2 (33:33):
Guy, Christian, that'd be about it. I don't even know
what he's done besides abuse, seld abuse.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
I admire Christian. I think his fathering, like I can't
wait for him to put out a book on fathering
because I'm going to get that.

Speaker 2 (33:50):
You know, it's pretty also easy to hate FTR these days.
I mean, there were different reasons they're attacking, attacking crippled
old men and uh, and they have such a a
sencial way of defending themselves that that that is just
so hateable because their sense and the way they manipulate
words is is so eloquent. Like it's a really good
time for Ae w Heels to be hateable.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
I don't know that I compare beating up Ricky Morton
and Robert Gibson, who still get after it on the
indie scene. Are more Ricky Morton more so than Robert Gibson.
But I don't know if I compare that to beating
the hell out of a one leg a guy and
taking his prosthetic leg even though yes, former wrestler and
all that look and good for Zach Gallon. By the way,

(34:34):
this is going to get him a match on TV
that this week at what is it spring breakout or whatever?
And you know where all spring breakers go Chicago spring
Beach Blast? What the fuck are they calling.

Speaker 2 (34:44):
This spring breakout? I believe, yeah, whatever, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:49):
There's a bit, I mean, a point being is going
to get Zach Gallan a match on TV, and well,
I don't think he's going to win, nor should he
gonna get him some exposure in a nice payday.

Speaker 2 (35:02):
Not bad, not bad, I mean, live out your dream
one more time. I believe he does some uh speaking
engagements already, so I'm sure there's something with those involved
that Aw's associated with. I could see this being beneficial
to several entities. A good deal that.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
They're doing Beach break twenty twenty five, by the way,
not so the Spring Breakout was a couple of weeks ago.
It's hard to keep on all this shit. But yeah,
even better not where spring Breakers go Chicago, but where
all the beach bunnies go Chicago. Yeah, AnyWho, but yeah,
this is so good for him, But no, Ricochet is

(35:43):
doing phenomenal work and good for him. Yeah, I see
the what you're saying about Christian though, but again I
admire what Christian's doing, taking these fatherless, wayward goofballs and
turning them into men. We should all be so lucky, Micah,
We should all be so lucky.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
You know, someone has to do the dirty work, someone
has to do the hard jobs. And then sometimes you're
some surprised when you even hand him the belt.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
If you're Hangman Page and you and Ospray are out
there for a face off, don Kallas comes out to
the ramp and all of a sudden, Ospray's volunteering you
for a tag match. If I'm Hangman Page, I'm leaving
Ospray hanging and hoping to get a.

Speaker 2 (36:33):
Leg up at the pay per view, I'd say, yeah,
it's pretty appropriate at that point to be like, you
realize we're not friends, right, We're enemies here, combatants. I
dare even say so, don't be making no match for me.

Speaker 1 (36:51):
I enjoyed the heck out of Tony Storm, thunder Rosa
pen LP four day A j Aw's got to stop
this championship. Will Dominator shit where the champion is involved.
If you want to have two contenders, fine, but this
is dumb. In no other sport like this do you
do this? But again, you're trying to get Tony Storm

(37:15):
on TV every week. I get that. I just don't
like that. I don't like the championship eliminator aspect of it.
But yeah, they haven't changed it at this point, They're
probably not going to.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
Tony Storm won an orgy submitting Penelope Forward. I mean.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
It was beautiful.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
There was chaos, There is multiple women, and Tony Storm
got to have a little piece of each one of them.
And then she came out on top her favorite position.
Not to mention on collision, that opening promo simply dynamite.
She is lustful, she is not full. She wants more

(37:57):
and more competition.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. We brought up Rhino a minute ago.
They were in Detroit last week, Rhino's hometown. He comes
out of surprise challenger for Nick Wayne's Ring of Honor
TV Championship. Good to see Rhino, I guess.

Speaker 2 (38:14):
Made sense at least question bringing someone from his past
to challenge his son, and somebody that the Detroit crowd
was gonna make a pop for I feel like Tony
Kahn has warmed up to the Young Bucks again because

(38:36):
it feels like to me, they had a meeting with
Tony and they said, Hey, you know what we're really
good at, and most of the guys are really good
at here, fun indie kind of matches, So let's just
go into what we do and let's double down on it.
Because I feel like, you know, bringing Rhino in some

(38:56):
of the Fatal Forward Ways, even some of the stuff
we've seen with the and other eight man tag matches
we've seen, I feel like we're getting a lot more
indie wrestling kind of spots and matches rather than pro
wrestling matches. You know, there's a quote unquote difference.

Speaker 1 (39:13):
Yeah, you're probably right on that. I don't think it's
a matter of a or the Bucks and Tony Khan
being on the same page now or be like, I
don't think there was ever a problem there.

Speaker 2 (39:26):
But.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
Yeah, this this was probably more in the Bucks wheelhouse.
I'd rather see them in something like this than like
a war games or whatever, you know that that we've
seen them involved in things like that, because I just
don't think that's their style. I'm also a little surprised
that there wasn't money on the line for the winners

(39:48):
of this, because Tony con does seem to like to
do that in multi person matches, whether it's tag teams
you know, we had the trios thing the other week
or eight man but whatever it was, with the money
then you had. Yeah, So it seems like a missed
opportunity for Tony Kahan here. I'm glad he missed it, though.

Speaker 2 (40:05):
I felt like I've in these multiple man scenarios we've
seen the Bucks lately some of the most enjoyable work
where if we couldn't hate them at as heels, which
I feel like they're doing a little bit better job
of that since they've come back for us hating them
for the right reasons, you can at least enjoy the work,
because that was something that was always there about the Bucks.

(40:28):
In these matches, I feel have been more towards their strengths,
so they've been more enjoyable rather than working against themselves. Also,
they're never gonna be big dudes, but we can credit them.
I think they look to be about as muscular as
they've ever been in their lives.

Speaker 1 (40:44):
The Bucks.

Speaker 2 (40:44):
Yeah, Now I.

Speaker 1 (40:46):
Don't have a problem with them. I don't always like
their character, but yeah, as far as their work. Anybody
who says the Young Bucks can't work, you've either never
seen them wrestle before or you're just a liar. Now,
that still doesn't mean you have to like them, but yeah,
being able to go in the ring, I don't think
that's ever been an issue for them.

Speaker 2 (41:05):
I just thought, Bailey Swerve, you bop on Rikoshet on
the head a couple of times. There were the funny
indie kind of spots. There was aerial this, there was
oh god, the Mike Bailey getting catching the flipping power
bomb from from Swerve. There were so many great aerial spots.

(41:28):
I just really love that triple threat match. And I
guess you know you couldn't do money in that match
because the books already have a big contract.

Speaker 1 (41:38):
I guess. Look, that's the other thing about Ricochet. Whether
it's joining up with the Bucks and Okada, whether it's
opening collision against a Helico and then stealings at Cowan's leg,
you put him in big spots, he delivers. And again
I'm not trying to make this to the Ricochet or

(42:00):
anything like that. I'm just saying this has been a
good week for Ricochet. This has been a good aw
run so far for Ricochet, and I don't see it
slowing down.

Speaker 2 (42:11):
Did you see the rumor on x that the verbal
combat that Ricochet got into with one of the NXT
guys led to a all media training seminar for NXT
town out not engaging.

Speaker 1 (42:29):
Not true, but now that doesn't mean an email or
something wasn't sent out stop engaging with guys from other
companies on social media to shut the fuck up. That
might happen, but yeah, not entirely true.

Speaker 2 (42:43):
But it's still tell me have that kind of rise
out of the storytelling community that is wrestling. I got
to give congratulations.

Speaker 1 (42:51):
You're never going to beat Ricochet on social media because Ricochet,
everything he posts is cringe worthy and he knows it.
That means you can't beat him. He'll just come back
with something more cringe worthy and you can't. You can't
argue with stupid people. And I'm not saying Rickychet is stupid,
but for social media purposes, you can't argue with him.

Speaker 2 (43:13):
Did you. I don't think I could have got to
a point when rick Yshet was released by wda W
that I'm like he could be a world champion. I
look at him now at AW and I'm like, I
don I'm say it right now, but I could see
it building this way. He's been working with the top
notch guys, like he even pointed out he's been working
with where with OMEG, I mean.

Speaker 1 (43:32):
And beating them, not just working with them, but winning matches. Look.
I don't know that they ever put the big belt
on him, but already I think he has exceeded my exit.
And look, I thought he would come in and have
some great matches and be used. Well, my expectations have
been far exceeded for Rickochet already. In this aw run.

Speaker 2 (43:52):
There are guys that get released from a company or
go back to a company and they're just the same character,
the same person they've always been, or they leave and
their next character doesn't work out. Congrats to Ricochet for
thriving in this totally different character than he's ever been
in his pro wrestling career.

Speaker 1 (44:12):
Michael Well, I think Anthony Bowen's character is far above
the Max Caster character. Can we just figure out what
it's going to take to get Castor and Bowen's back
together and scrap these singles runs and bring the Acclaim
back together. Scissor me, Daddy ass scissor me, Timbers whatever, whatever, whatever.

(44:33):
But they are much better together. A W is better
off for them being together them being separate. This a
for effort, f for execution. Let's fix this wrong.

Speaker 2 (44:48):
Okay, I'll call Tony Kahn right now. I'll get him
on the emergency batphone, ok the one that Gordon uses
to Batman. Get him into your office so that we
can run this, you know, point down to him without
any party favors, without any caffeine, just a full concentrated conversation,
because I don't think he's heard you the other times

(45:09):
that we've talked about this, and I just don't think
that they're listening to us on this one. I don't
see sixty minute match capability out of Anthony Bowen's I
feel like Castor and Bowens both came to AW as
single stars, and at some point in the success of
the Acclaim, they both should have given up on that

(45:32):
and realized the reality of what they have. And I
think that they both kept pushing for their singles opportunities,
and for better or worse, they're both getting to work
through them right now. And I don't know if Tony
Kahan is gonna drop the hammer and reward us back
to know you, guys, what we're doing is he's on
a losing streak, you're gonna lift him up. Or you're

(45:52):
gonna go on a losing streak too, and we're gonna
bring back together the acclaim you'll scissor when needed. I
just don't see it.

Speaker 1 (45:59):
I don't either. But look to your point, deep down,
don't you think Cash Wheeler and Dak's Harwood think that
they could be single stars? Of course they do. Look
and if you're not a if you don't have that mindset,
maybe pro wrestling ain't for you. But that doesn't mean
you got to force the issue. That doesn't mean that's

(46:21):
the way things are going to play out. I think
to these two guys, for us the issue, yeah, I
don't know, I'm assuming yeah, yeah, yeah, I have no idea.
You could very well be right on that terrible Here's
the thing, I think Castor has the better upside. They're

(46:42):
killing that man.

Speaker 2 (46:43):
They have killed them, and it felt like he is
the Okay, there's always a Shawn Michael Zamarin, Jenny. I
think we would have said we felt closer to Sean
for Castor, and they are giving the bigger push of
the single stardom to Bowens, who thought was the lesser
in r A on us.

Speaker 1 (47:00):
At this they've turned them both into Marty j Yeah. Yeah,
there is no Seawan Michael's coming out of this. It's
Marty Jeannetti and Marty Jeannetti. Well, I mean just yeah, yeah, yeah, no, yeah,
I know, I know, no, no, I got you, and
you're right on that. But but the reality is, sometimes
you're both Marty Jeanetti. Sometimes you're both Robert Gibson.

Speaker 2 (47:22):
The match was okay, but you're beating Lee Johnson, right, yeah.

Speaker 1 (47:25):
I don't care. Oh, I never thought we'd get this one.
Chris Statlander versus Willow Nightingale. Really, for the nine hundred
and twelfth time.

Speaker 2 (47:37):
It seemed like they had a more competitive match the
top flight did against m j F.

Speaker 1 (47:42):
Well, you're not wrong there. It was good to see
Uh well no, it wasn't. That's a lie. But we
did see a dark Order appearance. I was gonna say
it was good to see it.

Speaker 2 (47:52):
I don't say it was good to see Ocata. We
saw him in the ring. Bitch grizzled young vets are
back and then unfortunately they're gonna lose to Paragon. But
they have been criminally underused and mishandled uh since their
time signing with AW being relegated to I think a
lot of you know.

Speaker 1 (48:13):
What they need Micah, They no, they need singles runs,
fuck this tag teach at this grizzled young veterans thing.
One of them needs to be the grizzled young veteran
and then the other one just goes off and doesn't.
I'm kidding, of course, it was good to see them. Yeah,
I don't know, Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 2 (48:35):
I don't. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (48:36):
Where they fit in the tag team peck. Hey, look
we keep talking about, oh, they're going to put the
acclaim back together. There are a lot of tag teams
in AW, and for a big group of them, they
can't get past each other. They're just all knotted up together.
So maybe the answer isn't more teams, isn't reuniting the acclaimed.

(48:59):
But usually if you're just splitting them up randomly, I
don't think you're doing anybody favors either. But I bring
all that up. I like the grizzled young veterans and
all that I don't know what their long term future
is there.

Speaker 2 (49:13):
I just don't know. Like you said to Keshen and
Alexander Pommel's the Dark Order, Hey, good week for the Dallas,
for the don Collis family as you had them. Also
beat The Ring of Honor All Stars, The Ring of
Honor All Stars, The Outrunners, ar Fox Bendido.

Speaker 1 (49:32):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (49:33):
The longer he wears the mask, the more I get
the concept. I understand it's horribly unfunctional of a mask
because of that point, but it's his bandana. He's a Bendido,
he's a Desperado.

Speaker 1 (49:44):
Oh yeah, I like the match the mask because it's
the match too. Yeah, you know, I like the ma No,
it's it's different from every other mask. So yeah, it
makes him stand out even more. No, I don't. It's
a little goofy looking. I'm gonna make them stand out.
I don't have a problem with it.

Speaker 2 (50:03):
Christ Jericho is never coming back.

Speaker 1 (50:06):
Shit, Okay, you cannot.

Speaker 2 (50:08):
Be proud of the Learning Tree. When they go through
tables with the gates of agony. I Bishop Kahn probably
pet cut the best promo of his career. I'll give
him that. You think you're gonna walk through these gates
and not get scorned. I mean, best stuff that he's
ever said. Low level obviously, but I feel like Big

(50:29):
Bill and Bad Apple we assumed they were gonna win
that fourth right, that confrontation, and for everybody to go
through tables and quite literally as the gates of agony,
putting the learning tree through the tables. Chris, Jericho's never
coming back. He's always gonna be disappointed in these guys.
Storyline wise, Uh oh, He'll come back.

Speaker 1 (50:49):
There may not be a happy reunion.

Speaker 2 (50:53):
Does he come back with other henchmen that do it right?

Speaker 1 (50:55):
Maybe? Maybe? Or new group. Look, I don't have a
problem with Jericho. I think would any look, he's not
my favorite guy. But would anybody give a fuck about
Daniel Garcia were it not for that iteration of Jericho's faction?
Would anybody care about Brian Keith right now? Who I

(51:16):
like when he came in. I like the bounty hunter gimmick.
Let's be honest, that wasn't going anywhere. Would Big Bills
still be in aew were it not? I mean, so,
I mean people have now, Look you've also got the Minards,
who I just wish you had gone away. But I think
by and large Jericho has helped establish younger talent in
the company, so I don't have a problem with him.

(51:38):
I am when he comes back, I'm curious to see
who's going to be in his next faction, because I
want to see who they're looking to establish.

Speaker 2 (51:50):
It just felt like, to a point, we got too
much Jericho. Well, yeah, a little bit of Jericho every
now and then isn't bad. The problem was, for a
lot of us, Jericho was getting the weekly, the every show,
and it felt like he needed the Christian.

Speaker 1 (52:10):
It felt like, you know, like Tony Kahn's like, all right,
people criticize me for quick booking, short term booking and
all that, I'm dragging this learning tree thing out forever.
And yes, if you want to knock this iteration of
Jericho and this faction, it went on way too long.
The learning Tree stuff went on way too long. I
think you had served your purpose with the Bad Apple

(52:32):
and the Redwood well before you had this split, So yeah,
you could have sped that up a little bit. My
guess is that they knew when Jericho was taking time
off the tour, so that's what you were working towards,
and he gets his time off. But yeah, it went
too long. I absolutely agree with you on.

Speaker 2 (52:51):
That you're not wrong that stat Lander Willow Nightingale again,
but at least from a storyline perspective, I can get
behind you. You keep trying to talk to me because
you feel bad about the bad mistakes you made in
your life and you want to be my friend again.
I'm not over it. We could fight and then having
that culminate with Statlander being knocked outside of the ring

(53:15):
and not seeing the Marina Shafir interference, which does play
back into Willow was aiding Swerve and getting in the
death rider business. I felt like it all made sense,
even though when you first see it you're like again,
I felt like they did a nice job of tying
it together though, to mean something.

Speaker 1 (53:35):
Yeah, hey, look, I'm also not gonna complain too much
about getting to watch Willow Night and Gale and Chris
Stoutland or wrestle each other. They're both really good at
what they do. They typically have good matches. I thought
this was a good match as well. Yeah, I thought
it was a flimsy way we got here. I mean
it made sense. Still seemed a little flimsy here. You

(53:58):
let's be friends, No, let's wrestle. I don't trust you, okay,
but that's me.

Speaker 2 (54:05):
Yeah, it's a little flimsy. Uh. Do we need to
go back to Garcia FTR to close out the conversation.
As we close out the night with the heroic saving
from Daddy Magic and Nigel McGuinness, Danie Garcia would just
be friends with anybody.

Speaker 1 (54:22):
He you know what, Willow Nightingale should sit Dandy Garcia
down and like, look, you gotta stop trusting every goddamn body.
Be a little more guarded. Uh, you know you'd rather
wrestle these people than be their friend. All Right, I'm
just saying.

Speaker 2 (54:39):
Looking forward to Rouche versus Kevin Knight.

Speaker 1 (54:41):
I'm looking forward to it. Kevin Knight grows on me
every week. Man, he does.

Speaker 2 (54:47):
Rush is being on TV more. When he's on TV,
they use him.

Speaker 1 (54:51):
Well, yep.

Speaker 2 (54:54):
The best TNA in wrestling? Is it over On Impact?
Or is it Anna j and Harley Cameron?

Speaker 1 (55:00):
Oh, it's Energy and Harley Cameron. And it's not even close.

Speaker 2 (55:03):
It's not even close. But you know who is joining
up on TNA Triple A? Anybody surprised that WWE JR
And w w E Junior Mexico are going to start
some work together.

Speaker 1 (55:15):
WWE is Christian Cage to Triple A and TNA in NXC.

Speaker 2 (55:21):
Yeah, no one. Yeah, are you surprised that we're gonna
get a trip? I gotta be honest, Conan Alberto do Rio.
They've done a pretty good job of keeping me away
from indulging in any of the stars of Triple A.

Speaker 1 (55:37):
Uh. Yes, I agree that that's all I got got. Yeah,
I don't have anything nice to say.

Speaker 2 (55:48):
So anything else going on in wrestling?

Speaker 1 (55:52):
Uh? Well, we got and shit, I just looked it
up and don't remember what it is. Not. Spring Breakout
is Beach Blast twenty twenty five. Aw uh in Chicago
this week? Because again, when I think Beach's Baby, I
think Shytown.

Speaker 2 (56:10):
You get the return of sky Blue taking on timeless
Tony Storm story that's gonna go splendidly for Tony Storm. Uh.
No way, Joe beats John Moxley on Spring Breakout.

Speaker 1 (56:21):
I don't think so, because I don't know. I'm glad
you brought this up, and we'll talk about it more
next week. Well maybe we won't, Yeah, we probably will.
I Moxley's not dropping the title before all in I
think that's what you're building course, but if you're Tony Kahan,

(56:42):
you book dream matches. What's the bigger dream match to
headline all in? Is it Moxley versus Will Ospray? Or
is it Joe versus Ospray? Because I gotta think in
Tony Kahan's mind, it's Joe. But I don't see us

(57:04):
going that way.

Speaker 2 (57:05):
I don't see all the build up, everything that it's been,
all of this coming together and we fall short of
Ospray Moxley. Ospray Moxley feels like the end all be
all for a major transition.

Speaker 1 (57:20):
I would agree also, And we'll talk about this more
next week because we'll know more. Are we really headed
into a pay per view next weekend that doesn't have
a men's or women's World Heavyweight title match on the
card because of the stakes of double or nothing? Where
you've got the men's and women's Owen Hart Finals for

(57:43):
the right to challenge the champ at all in, you've
got Joe and Moxley this week on Dynamite. Are you
booking another title match for the pay per view? I
kind of don't think so. And with the way Tony
Storm's been I was gonna say titles. But having these
eliminators every week, are you rushing a title match on

(58:06):
the pay per view for her?

Speaker 2 (58:07):
No, best that we get is Moxley joining Uh maybe
Yuda and and Claudio and you run back of Trio's match.
I don't even think you race Moxley for that though.
I think that we don't have Moxley or Tony Storm
on a pay per view, and we'll see how that
pay per view does with the Mercedes Monette, will Ospray,
hey Man, Page Star Pauer.

Speaker 1 (58:29):
Yeah, and again we'll talk about this more next week
when we do the Doublin ether and preview. But if
we don't have a world title match or a women's
world title match on the card, I don't think I
have a problem with it.

Speaker 2 (58:40):
I think we're building up nicely.

Speaker 1 (58:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (58:42):
I think mostly to see who do who does the
Hurt Business defend against? Because I gotta assume that we're
gonna next week or this week you get an announcement
of who Benjamin and Lashley are going to defend against.
I don't think we leave the m JF announcement all
the way to the pay per view.

Speaker 1 (59:04):
Oh I bet we do.

Speaker 2 (59:06):
Oh maybe they hold it on we also got to
bring it up.

Speaker 1 (59:11):
How about he gets m JF and Alex Hammerstone.

Speaker 2 (59:17):
Maybe Hammerstone's over in MLWN.

Speaker 1 (59:20):
I don't mean anything. I'm curious how many w dore
AW fans know who Hammerstone is though that that might
be the.

Speaker 2 (59:28):
I failed run with TNA that didn't boast the stock
much any Heck, you're gonna see aew everywhere this Sunday,
ex Caliber's mask makes an appearance on Family Guy. It
looks like Chris Griffin's gonna mistake collegiate wrestling for pro wrestling,
and Peter is gonna get.

Speaker 1 (59:45):
Over Enthusiastic seems about right. I don't like ex Caliber.

Speaker 2 (59:55):
I know he's your least favorite commentator, and that's including
Corey Graves.

Speaker 1 (01:00:00):
But that is including Corey Graves.

Speaker 2 (01:00:03):
You're not wrong on that. No, I'm not wrong everybody.

Speaker 1 (01:00:06):
I do like him better than the play by play
guy for NXT, but not by a lot. I would
rather listen to Daddy Magic. I would rather listen watch
a whole another full episode of Collision with with Adam
Colebabey on commentary. I'd rather you trot Paul White's big

(01:00:29):
ass back out. I'm a big fan of Rick Abodia
and Caprice Coleman, so I definitely would rather listen to them.
Nigel might be the best color guy in the business
these days, but if something were to happen to Taz
and ex Caliber and they weren't on TV every week anymore,

(01:00:51):
I don't think I'd have a problem with it. Although
I felt like Taz was more focused this past week,
I don't think I heard a single nut shot Jones
or splotching the eye Jones or whatever Jones from tabs
at all this past week. Maybe I missed it, but
he seemed like he was more into doing the commentary
rather than being funny and getting himself over.

Speaker 2 (01:01:13):
I think I can feel that one before we get
out of here. Was there anything else that you had?

Speaker 1 (01:01:18):
I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (01:01:20):
Rest in peace, Sabo. Yeah, my favorite extreme hardcore wrestler,
easily deftifying, incredible every time. I can't believe it because
just a couple of weeks ago, with that retirement match.

Speaker 1 (01:01:34):
Adams retirement match in Vegas, just what wrestled made a week?

Speaker 2 (01:01:38):
So yeah, with Joey Janella truly sat and buy that
news for sure. Condolences to all his loved one, uh,
Sabo was awesome.

Speaker 1 (01:01:46):
Ye all right, Micah, tell everybody how they can get
up with you.

Speaker 2 (01:01:50):
Man over on X to keep up the pro wrestling conversation.
We do that at Frankle Micah the last name than
the first.

Speaker 1 (01:01:57):
The show on X at PW After Hours me on
X at Real Mike Carlisle. We will talk to you
next week for another episode of Pro Wrestling After Hours
here on the After Hours Podcast Network.
