Speaker 1 (00:06):
What's up everybody. Welcome back to Pro Wrestling After Hours.
I'm Michael Carlisle, joined as always by Micah Franco. Micah
was shaken.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Man John Moxley because he was shot in the face
by a Bazuka. I love that task quote this week.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Oh Taz in his little quotes.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Shot in the face, that would be shaking.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
I'd be shaken with a bazukah shot in the face, sure, absolutely,
And you know.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
My fear of heights. I'm shaking looking at Darby Allen's
freaking posts from I'm on top of the world. Guys,
look at how stup it is.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Crazy bastard Darby Allen made it to the top of
Mount Everest. Good for him. Now hurry him, get your
ass back for double or Nothing. I'm assume going downs
a lot quicker than going up, right.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
I don't know about that one. He wins, Yeah, yeah,
I think all and I think he returns by all and.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Mad that's probably more likely. I would agree with you
on that. We do have double or Nothing this Sunday
live on pay per view from AAW We've also got
Saturday Night's main event from WWE on Saturday. Conveniently enough,
we'll talk about that everything going on last week real quick.

(01:19):
I don't know that it was their fault, but we've
got to talk about it. AW. Collision this past Saturday
ended early, just really abruptly, after the Steve Mongo McMichael
tribute segment, and you missed the last thirty minutes of
regularly scheduled time and whatever overrun they had. Interestingly enough,

(01:42):
it cut off for the Rock. I don't know if
you picked up on that, Micah, but when it ended,
they went right into Black Adam, which of course starred
The Rock. So there you are tkowwe FM with AW. Micah.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
The Rock has the power now that he's fully the Rock.
Sure boom, he's more like Donald's from Marvel. But he's
a DC villain obviously because he's black at him. But
snap the hands. Jeff Cobb is j C. Matteo and
you can't finish collision right, will rock it?

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Yeah? Real quick? Of course WW wasn't messing with AW.
There was some sort of transmission issues with the show.
They thought they were going to have it for the
West Coast feed. They didn't. I believe as of Monday
of this week it was on the They had the
full episode up on the tn t app. I haven't
checked the max app, which is now the or soon

(02:45):
to be again the HBO Max App. I don't know
if it's up there yet or not, but it is
on the TNT app. You can also go to TNT
dot com slash Trauma or something if you don't want
to download the app, but it's there and you can
watch it for free there in its entirety. The bad
thing about that is you missed your tag team match
that was setting up the winners going on to face

(03:07):
the Hurt Syndicate. Don't want to spoil it for you,
but Dustin Roseen Sammy Gavara won.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
That saw that from the poster that was released this
week online. I was yet to check it out, but
I did still see people saying that the HBO or
Max or whatever you want to call it, that app
to not have it, but TNT good to know that
they already have it up. I myself will still have
to go check that out. I have not seen it,

(03:34):
but I did see the poster that show that Dustin
and Sammy were in Double or.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Nothing and real quick before we get into Double or
Nothing in all the aw stuff you brought up the
Jeff Cobb deal and not Jeff Cobb anymore, j C. Matteo.
This obviously wasn't the plan. Now I'm not saying it's bad.
I'm not saying it's good. But when he debuted at
the premium live event at Backlash, the announcer is One

(04:02):
referred to him as Jeff Cobb. So I wonder what
happened between that Saturday night and the following Friday, when
all of a Suddenny He's not Jeff Cobb anymore, He's
JC Matteo.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Now, well, it's something I don't appreciate. This is the biggest,
most powerful wrestling company in the world. We all a
lot at what WCW does, how much money they make,
the numbers they pull in the three nights of this extravaganza,
that extravaganza. But but you didn't know what name you
were gonna call a performer after you already had him

(04:37):
set up on his first line of work. Like they
clearly didn't get fed into their headphones. They know they're
gonna know who this guy is and to make an
abrupt change a week after days after introducing him, Yeah,
it falls short of what I expect of this company.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Well, look, things have and maybe Jeff Cobb was unwilling
to let them trademark his name. So yeah, that well,
whatever the reason, Yeah, it does seem like that's something
you would have worked out before you had him debut.
But I mean it is what it is, I suppose,

(05:20):
but j C. Matteo it is, which look, maybe in
time we all get used to it, but it doesn't
have the same ring to it to me.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
I don't know where it came from that. It feels
a little awkward, the Mateo part. I if we heard
it day one, fine, Rene, I heard Jeff Cobb. I
know Jeff Cobb. They even pointed out Jeff Cobb's Olympic
background history and then they call him jac Matteo. It
comes off abruptly strange to me. But hey, I mean,

(05:54):
wwe they can do whatever they want and we're gonna
take it.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
I guess itemite this past week, Micah, let's jump into
that main event real quick, excuse me, World title match
Samoa Joe challenging John Moxley in a cage. Despite that,
we get interference outside interference, Gabe Kid sliding the briefcase

(06:20):
to Moxley, lays out Joe gets the win. What do
you think of Gabe kids involvement with the Death.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Rids interesting because he wasn't really a death writer. He
was a Bullet Cub guy. But we already saw from
the Old versus New Bullet Club that they weren't really
in line. So to see the Bucks and Gabe Kid

(06:48):
at the end of Dynamite on the same side with
John Moxley already felt like a lot of confusion to me.
But just from the outset, do I like the archetype
of the character, the roughness that kind of addition to
the Death Writers, especially with Pac being injured. I do
like that, but this guy didn't make sense for that role.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
And look, to be fair, maybe it's more accurate to
say aligned with the Young Bucks because when he was
passing the briefcase and then he gets in afterwards they
sent me down, they sent me down, or something to
that effect. Then you see the Young Bucks come out
safe to assume the Bucks sent him out. But yes,

(07:32):
the end result, you get the seemingly everyone aligned over there,
the Bucks Kid, Death Writers and all that, and that
also further sets up anarchy in the arena at double
or Nothing, some form of the elite and the Death
Writers versus some form of Swerve, Strickland and the Ops

(07:55):
or something.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
There are so many people involved on this. I've seen
a poster where it's Wheeler, Moxley, Marina Claudio and the
Bucks versus Hook Hook is Alive, Joe, Swerve, Omega and Willow.

(08:22):
But where did Shibata and Hobbes go all of a sudden?
And his Gabe kid really not a part of this.
There's so many questions.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
Uh, something tells me that's not going to be the
lineup for for this match. Now, we'll have to see
and maybe I eat my words on that, but there
there are several different possibilities for sure, so we'll I
guess we'll have to wait and see on that. Yeah,
we'll skip around real quick on Dynamite, Uh, Ricochet, ricochet again?

Speaker 2 (08:59):
Amazing.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
He is the Zach Gowan match, by the way, Zach
Gowan for someone who's basically been retired for a number
of years. I thought he looked really damn good in
the ring, and I don't know that he has any
desire to wrestle full time or somewhat full time, but
I can see him on some Ring of Honor cards

(09:21):
for aew cards might be a bit of a stretch,
but some aw TV matches are a ring of honor
TV matches for Tony Kahans, should he be interested?

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Was it a bad performance with one leg at all?
Still did great work? Rick Achet is so hate heable.
This is miraculous how he has climbed up the card.
I thought there was a lot of great chemistry. I
was blown away by this one. This was pretty special.

(09:56):
And then Ricky ache is a extra level of despicable.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
No doubt about it. And that's what I think makes
the character so doggone good. Speaking of despicable and good characters.
A lifelong dream finally accomplished for an aw star as
MJF is finally voted into the Hurt Syndicate. And I
don't know about you, Micah, but it seems like this

(10:24):
is gonna be over before it ever starts. You just
get this feeling that this ain't gonna last very long.
And who's gonna turn on? Who is it gonna be
the rest of the Hurt syndicate turning on MJF is
a MJF turning on them. I don't feel like this
is going to hell. This might not even last the
contract signing this week.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
It didn't seem like MVP appreciated Mark Sterling. If there's
not a couple adjustments, bullet points, asterisks, additions, will say
to the contract that's supposed to be signed at Dynamite,
I will be surprised if everything goes off in aces.

(11:06):
I just don't see that happening. But it feels even,
and I don't want to skip too far ahead. But
Dustin and Sammy, I don't feel like it's likely they
beat the Hurt Syndicate, but I want to get to
the Hurt Syndicate as single competitors and Bobby versus MJF,

(11:29):
because I feel like that's where this is leading.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
It may well be we'll talk about Dustin and Sammy
versus Hurt Syndicate when we get into our Double or
Nothing preview yet another one of those goofy Ash Championship eliminators.
Tony Storm, Mina sheer kawis Sky Blue. Mina gets the
pin on Tony Storm. They will meet up at Double

(11:53):
or Nothing. At least something came out of this Championship eliminator.
I guess i'd rather each it's been a three way
and the winner gets a shot at Tony Storm at
double or nothing rather than her being in the match,
but Mina getting the pin, getting the pin on Storm,

(12:14):
it adds, I guess to the interest in the match.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Mina took the small package, made it a big package,
over rolled up the package, turned up the package, gave
the package all it can handle. Now the package has
to do it again. There's something for Tony Storm there
to do on double R nothing, and it's good to see.

(12:38):
It just seems like she's willing to do anything, and
we already know she wants to do anything, but she's
willing to do it also and it's refreshing.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
Never mind, taz Bazooka to the face, yambag Jones, whatever, whatever, whatever.
The line of the night was delivered by Stokely Hathaway
tonight to Nigel, Nigel McGinnis, Uh, you think you can
beat FDR You barely beat hepatitis.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
That was a good one. I just I hate them
so much and don't hate them, but it's heating there
for the right reasons. Just kind of leave hepatitis alone
with the herpes that stopped the ufc CO main and wait,
we're talking about that on an MMA after hours everybody, Uh, hepatitis, herpes,
all those kind of things. I just stray away from them.

(13:28):
Nigel Beginnis has been through a lot, and so C
Hathaway has been through many roles.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
For sure, for sure we are going to get that
match at the pay per view as well. That was
made official on Comalation. Yes, sir, what do.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
You think Adam Cole said? Or Tony Khan said? What happened? Said?
Because this was supposed to be Adam Cole and Daniel
Garcia versus FTR and it's subtly changed to Nigel McGuinness.
I don't mind it, but what do you think happened
that Daniel had to have a second surrogate mouthpiece? Who's

(14:06):
the commentator?

Speaker 1 (14:07):
I think you're going to this week on either Dynamite
or Collision. Get excuse me, get Adam Cole. It's going
to be announced he's going to defend the TNT title
against somebody at the pay per view. It would be
my guess on Collision. The bad thing about it cutting
off not that the first hour and a half were
bad by any stretch. It was actually pretty entertaining. But

(14:30):
if you didn't see any of that, you didn't miss
a whole lot in the grand scheme of things. But
you did miss that tag match to find out who's
gonna face Hurt Syndicate. We know that Dustin and Sammy
Gavarro won that they're going on to double or nothing.
But I mean, look, Kyle Fletcher ar Fox was fine,
but if you missed it, it didn't ruin anything. I

(14:53):
enjoyed Bandido, Brody King and ish E versus the Kallus family.
I did think that the street fight with Gates of
Agony and Big Bill and Learning Tree was really good.
Hobbs and Judah was what it was, which, by the way,
you missed as well, in addition to that tech title match.

(15:16):
But yeah, I mean, unfortunately you miss the Sizzle of
Collision this week because of the technical issues.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
Wain versus Anna Jay interesting. I still think that Bain
for having the look in the presence down. It's still
a work in process. In the ring. Fletcher versus ar
Fox was a lot of fun. I was shocked that
the Kallis family lost because I tend to not take

(15:47):
seriously or Bandido if he's not a Ring of Honor
or defending the Ring of Honor world title. So there
was a couple of caveats. Plus I just felt like
Rody king Kank, you gotta win. But he did.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
He did. I'll be damn he did.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Ye. I'm so happy Tony Kahn. Thank you. As I
was sitting and telling my wife he's way underappreciated. Holy shit,
he got the win. Same thing I was saying about
Big Bill because I somehow felt the gates of agony.
We're gonna get that victory.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
Tom ol Leoa Tangaloya Loa getting hit in the head
with multiple objects and just shaking them off from the
bad Apple obviously entertaining. Mike Bailey slapping up Lake Christian
so that we get him towards being Ocata's bitch is
always going to be entertaining. And I'm sorry that I

(16:35):
missed out on those two. Did Hobbes win. I'm assuming
he beat you. Did he?

Speaker 3 (16:40):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (16:41):
I don't know? Probably?

Speaker 2 (16:44):
Oh, I thought you already want to watch this.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
I don't remember up up up. Yeah, I actually I
do not remember.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
And then we do get the victory and the main event.
Did you have any specific feelings like Dustin Sammy, do
you like the tandem? Do you know it's our Dustin
is very flexibly can work with a little anybody.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
I don't like the team, but I'm gonna lay out
something for you as we get into double or nothing
this Sunday on pay per view. Uh, the main event
presumably will be anarchy in the arena. Team Moxley will
call it versus Team Swerve. Who exactly it winds up being,

(17:25):
I guess we'll see. I expect there to be a
lot of chaos, a lot of pandemonium, and maybe even
a few surprises, some debuting stars or returning stars. Really yeah,
and I think there's gonna be anarchy, yes, in the arena.

(17:48):
There will be anarchy. Yes, Micah hints anarchy in the arena.
What do you think about this as a surprise? And
maybe it makes the Gabe kids stuff a little more sense?
Some former Bullet Club brethren showing up in AW now

(18:08):
that their non competes with wwe have ended. Of course,
talking about the Good Brothers, could you see a scenario
where that happens?

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Yeah, I mean we finally saw them alive and healthy
and in New Japan, so they could return or they
can return to America being ae W any day, more work,
the better work. I can see those Good Brothers showing up.
I just don't know how this the elite Good brother
There's Death Riders faction goes over or is this a

(18:40):
swerve by the Bucks And now they have the Good
Brothers and gape Kid Okada. Now they have their super
elite Bullet Club faction.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Yes that if the Good Brothers show up, that would
be my guess. Not saying they side would swerve in
those guys.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
But.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
Yes, so but they they turn on.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
The death everybody laying in waste.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
Yes, yes, I could one see that aw women's title
match Tony Storm Mina Shirakawa. I think it's gonna be
a hell of a match. I don't see anyway Tony
Storm does not go to all in as the women's
champion to face the winner of the owen Hart Women's Finals.

(19:25):
So I would assume Tony Storm is gonna get the
win here.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
I'd assume. So we're upping all the way to like
a week ahead. I mean, what happens this week? Don't
we have contract signings? Like do you think MJF signs
with Hurt Syndicate is getting there?

Speaker 1 (19:42):
Micah, Easy, easy, my man, We're getting you build, Son,
you build.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
I'll just talk about Wednesday. You're talking about Saturday Sunday.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
Yes, we're doing the double or Nothing preview. What's gonna
happen this week? Uh, they'll probably have a face off
Storm and Mina and Tony Storm will say a bunch
of a full of double entendres and that gets us
a Sunday. Then you get your Aworld Tag Team title match.
Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin versus Dustin Road Sammy Gavara. Yes,

(20:11):
they put pen to paper this week with MJF. How
about MJF trying to help the Hurt Syndicate. It backfires
and Dustin and Sammy win the aw Tag Team titles, which,
of course simple, which of course sets off your MJF
Bobby Lashley feud.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
Does he mean to do it? Does he accidentally do it?

Speaker 1 (20:34):
And that's the question. It looks accidental, but was it?
Lashly doesn't think, so they decide to settle it like men,
and then whoever mjf's real backup is shows up and
they beat down the Hurt Syndicate, just throwing it out there.
All that being said, I think it's far more likely

(20:55):
Shelton and Lashly retain, but they hold Dustin in high
regards Sammy's a young guy with a lot of potential.
Give them a little rub here and further the friction
in the in the Hurt Syndicate. I think that makes
a lot of sense. Whether they do it, we'll have
to see.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
I like your theory. I feel like it's short sided.
I I feel like maybe I don't know if this
is too much, but does the contract signing maybe not happen.
They have to revise the contract MJF and and his
lawyer aren't comfortable with it. Do we end up with

(21:40):
maybe official signing on the pre show and then maybe
we do get the Hurt Syndicate with a destruction because
I'd like a slow play to some friction and in
a month like by all In we get Lastly MJF.
We play a little bit and we have inklings of

(22:04):
this isn't just why didn't you simply sign? And lastly
still annoyed, but it only it's slight builds. I'd like
to see that with Tony Colin Russias Shitch. So you're
probably right it all goes down on Sunday.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
Like you said, well, I think you could do both.
You could have MJF interfere in it backfire. Oh my god,
I'm so sorry, guys. I can't believe you did this. MJF.
I knew we couldn't trust you. We got to rematch
this Wednesday. Stay out of it, and he interferes and
helps them win, but they're still not happy because he
didn't stay out of it. And you continue to build
that friction to all ends. So maybe you could get

(22:39):
there that way again. Far more likely the Champs retain
Stretcher match Mark Briscoe and Ricochet. I think that's gonna
be a lot of fun. I would expect Ricochet somehow
gets to win here, but maybe not.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
I would assume that we're going with Rick Achet continue
to build on that. There's so many belts, but there's
only a few opportunities at the top. We both love
Mark brisco I wish this was more of a feud.
I wish we had a little more legs, just a
little more fuck. Why'd I say legs he's fighting it because.

Speaker 1 (23:18):
You know I was about to say, Oh my god,
Zach Gowan's gonna show up and interfere.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
I don't know if we're gonna get Zach Gowan all
the way to the Southwest, where this week's tapings are
taking place, but I do believe Ricky sche gets to win.
It's gonna be an incredible match. I just think that
giving them an opportunity to tell a little more story,
put the mic in Mark Risco's hand, and I feel

(23:45):
like this goes from we know it's gonna be a
really good match to like, we're excited for the story
behind the match too. I feel that this is another
one of those things where you could have done a
little more with it before getting to this point.

Speaker 1 (24:01):
I don't think the match is going to mean that
much in the grand scheme of things, but I can't
begin to tell you how excited I am for Nigel
McGinnis and Daniel Garcia versus FTR. I just love watching
Nigel McGinnis wrestle and he and Danny Garcia tagging against FTR. Look,
the only logical thing here is for FTR to win,

(24:24):
but I can, especially at this point, I consider it
a treat when Nigel McGinnis steps in the ring to wrestle.
So I'm really looking forward to this one.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
Is it staring us right in the face? Did you
just say it? Well, one thing, you're totally correct on
everything you just said second thing, I lose a little
excitement because it's Daniel Garcia, or do you see enough
Garcia enough Nigel McGuinness in Daniel Garcia that he's taking

(24:55):
him under his wing, he's going to refine that style
into the European more catch wrest because he kind of
teeters on that. Do you think that Nigel McGinnis can
be a positive influence on Garcia? Which is the low
point in the match for me?

Speaker 1 (25:08):
I hope so, and that is the low point. Quite honestly,
I'd rather see Nigel McGinnis versus one of the members
of FDR. If we're being completely honest, I'm just not
you mean Dax, Sure, well it could be the other one.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
You'd like the other one enough? I thought we already
said no, not.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
Really, but I mean either one. If this is what
it takes to get Daniel Garcia to the next level,
then heck, yeah, let's do it. But I'm with you.
The low light of this match going into it for me,
and I think you just said for you as well,
what would be Daniel Garcia?

Speaker 2 (25:45):
So FTR we agree should win this match. Yes, FTR
should move on to bigger and better title opportunities, and
that asked me about how do you feel about reunions?

Speaker 1 (26:04):
They're okay sometimes, what.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
About if they're a pinnacle of a reunion, possibly because
stokely Hathaway and MJF do have a prior relationship, So
what if he is looking to power up with a
manager and a strong tag team. It's just not the
hurt syndic yet.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
I don't hate that, and it makes a lot of
sense and he gets FTR in the tag team title picture. Yeah,
don't hate that at all. I don't think that happens here.
Maybe you start to see some seeds though, but yeah,
I don't hate that at all. You got the finals
of the owen Hart Cup tournament. Let's start with the

(26:47):
women's Mercedes Monet Jamie Hater all all the way, Oh
come on, micah all due respect to Jmi Hater. If
Mercedes Monet collapses and dies in the ring, the referee
will order Jamie Hayter to grab Mercedes Monette and roll
her on top of Hayter for the for the pin.

(27:10):
Mercedes Monette is not losing this.

Speaker 2 (27:14):
Match, You're probably correct. I'm just really hopeful that they
tell a good story. Yeah, that it is a good
match that the hard hitting nature of Jamie Hayter mixes
with the luja style of Mercedes Monee, and I just
hope we get something really nice because we would all
put all the money we had in Vegas, if it's

(27:35):
possible on Mercedes money, all the money on Monday. So
that's where it says, well, you think Tony Khan could
pull the rug out from under our feet. It's not possible,
is it?

Speaker 1 (27:47):
Not a way?

Speaker 2 (27:48):
We're not getting Storm versus Monee.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
Not on this one, because you're going to all in.
Anything other than Tony Storm versus Mercedes Monette will seem
less than because those are your two, for better or worse,
your two biggest women's stars. This is your biggest card
of the year. You are one doing Monet and Tony
Storm at all in, So Mercedes has to win here.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
I agree it should. It feels that way, It's been
built that way. I just promoters are interesting, writers are interesting.
Bookers are interesting. And I'm not talking about just Booker
t there on that NXT commentary, because he makes enough
interesting comments that hit my reels.

Speaker 1 (28:31):
Yep uh. The Men's owen Hart Tournament Final Hangman page
will Ospray this one. I think there's a little more
intrigue too, but I would still be utterly shocked if
Will Osprey does not win and go on to all In.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
I'm there with you. Osprey is the ace, he's been
the workhorse. It's felt like he's taken the steps to
get towards grasping the crown, and this is another step
up that wrung. We're looking for Osprey Moxley. I don't
think we really could get back. Are we really gonna

(29:13):
do a throwback to to Moxley versus Hangman Page? I
don't know if that is Does Tony Kahan idolize that? Like,
is that his heart Austin? Is that his rock Austin?

Speaker 1 (29:30):
And see, that's the question, because I don't think it's
that's out of the realm of possibility. I just don't
think it's likely. But I think there are a lot
worse things you could do than Hangman Page in the
main event at all In against presumably Moxley, and you
still come up with something for Osprey. But the way
that this has been built, and don't get me wrong,

(29:52):
Osprey's over like Rover, and you'd have to try really
hard to not make him over. But with all this build,
I'm going to all In, I'm winning the world title.
Anything less than that, I don't know what you're doing
with Ospray at all In that seems even somewhat meaningful.

(30:12):
So while I don't think it's out of the realm
of possibility that Hangman Page could win and go on
to all In, I think it is far more likely
than it's Ospray.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
It feels weird because for me, Hangman was not ready
for the position. When the belt was first put around
his waist on his shoulder, he was not ready to
lead the company. I think he's more mature more in
that place. I think the fans have come around to
him more. But sometimes it's the wrong place the wrong time,

(30:48):
because Will Ospray is damn near the best professional wrestler
in that rank. There was many a year before we
started this podcast where in our wrestling chat I would
go on about the greatness of Okada. Well, that's the
level of freaking will Osprey is that now where I
feel like he is heads and tails above basically everybody

(31:10):
in that rate.

Speaker 1 (31:11):
Yeah. So those are the seven matches that are announced
going into this week's Dynamite in Collision. I would be
very surprised if we don't get Speedball Bailey in Okada.
I would guess so you got yeah, technically seven matches announced.

(31:37):
I would be shocked if we don't go into the
pay per view counting pre showing all with at least
ten matches.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
That's normal, that's Moore for the question for aew, do
you think we end up with any kind of because
it is doubled her nothing and traditionally there is the
casino theme because they're doubling down. You think we get
a casino Battle oyal for this event.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
We haven't had one in a while, and outside of
tournaments and eliminators and now matches with money on the
line for the winners. Nothing Tony Kahn loves more than
a good casino Battle Royal and that's a good way
to get a lot of people on the card. I
could absolutely see that happening as well.

Speaker 2 (32:17):
Casino jackpot Battle Royal for a million dollars. It's all
fake money that he throws out there anyway. I don't
think he's paid anybody any of these. Actually, the test
would be outrageous on that bonus. I think that's more likely.
The million dollar Jackpot Casino Battle Royal because you don't
really want to see it earn a title shot? Do you.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
Maybe a TNT title shot, But by the way, we'll
probably get a TNT title match.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
Well do you want that? Actually, the winner earns a
TNT match later that night, we have a pre show
maybe and then you get to kick off the show
versus out of coal.

Speaker 1 (32:52):
Maybe maybe if it's for money, it won't be a
million bucks, maybe more like two hundred and fifty grand
something like that.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
FATA four way got four hundred thousand dollars or one
hundred thousand dollars. Well, FATA four way got one hundred
thousand dollars. If we put like thirty thousand dollars three
guys in there, thirty of them, shouldn't they be like
almost a million dollars, almost like three million if there's
like thirty guys.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
No, no, no, no, no no no.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
How about the Casino Jackpot Battle Royal winner gets to
be the Jaguars GM for a day. Doesn't look like
a hard job.

Speaker 1 (33:32):
I think that's what the loser gets, Micah, that they
have to be the Jaguars GM for a season. Yeah,
maybe running the soccer club. They own. Maybe that's a
little more of a something for the winner.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
So if we look at the Good Brothers, theoretically that's
a return to aw We've seen them there before, they
were lying with Kenny Omega and Don Pallace. Do you
think we get a Dave you?

Speaker 1 (34:03):
Maybe? Maybe? I think it's more likely. Are you alluding
to Cedric Alexander?

Speaker 2 (34:12):
No, I was more wondering if you had a name
in mind, was what I was trying to get to.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
Uh. I do, as a matter of fact, I need
it would probably be a female, although w.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
W e U.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
Yeah, sadly I could. I could see Isla Dawn interfering
in the Mercedes Hater match to cost Hater. If you're
talking about guys, I don't know that they need any
of these people.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
The former Baron Corbin's time on the sidelines should be
up by now. I think he would be in play.
I think I'm assuming he'd be going by Bishop Dyer.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (35:07):
Giovanni Vinci's time should be up by now if they
were looking to bring him in. I don't know that
you need him either. Uh, So we'll see.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (35:19):
But yeah, just in general, I would put heavy odds
on the Good brothers.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
I'm guessing Bishop Dyer would be the only one that
might be a debut. Or we're ways away still from
Shana Basler, like you said, maybe Cedric Alexander pops back up?
Was it that long ago? Really? Like cuts are happening
every ninety days now, Like these people haven't hit the
the clearer marker yet. We already got the next round

(35:47):
of cuts. Yes, yeah, wow, time's a goat chopping in
that w W lead water and they're getting on down
the stream too satur at night.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
Yeah, not really getting that choppy though, because I mean,
you're just clearing out no disrespect, but old useless to
make room for the new. I mean, WWE does it
every year around this time, a few right before Mania,
more right after Mania. So nothing to be that surprised about.

Speaker 2 (36:21):
But yeah, not surprised at all. No, I'm more surprised
that we had two rounds of cuts. Like I said,
it seemed like one happened and they weren't even cleared
the ninety days yet before the next one. Maybe I'm
not on the right timelines. That felt surprising, But other
than that, no, not much surprised from the WWE clock

(36:43):
keeps on turning, I did think did I read wrong?
Is Jeff Cobb forty years old? Uh?

Speaker 1 (36:50):
That sounds about right somewhere, and I'll look it up
for you real quick, somewhere in that general neighborhood.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
Yeah, it just surprises forty two, actually forty two. It
surprises me the numbers that WWE likes. It seems they
like forty or they like twenty. They don't really like
performers in their thirties. You're either past your prime and
we're signing you because we feel like you finally got
the sauce that we want, or you're an nil that

(37:18):
we're grabbing out of college after you the national cheerleading
competition was, or you didn't get selected in the NFL
Draft you failed to sign on as a walk on
free agent, something like that. Like there's a real distinctive
mix I feel like of who they target.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
But forty is not past your prime anymore, Micah, No,
it was back in the day. But yeah, you're not wrong.
There is that gap. We either one them really young
or after they're super seasoned that that middle let's grow
them doesn't really seem to work.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
Yeah, that's more what it was. It just feels like
there's a I'm not saying forty is old and over
the hill. It just feel like if I was a
wrestler on the independent scene for twenty something years, it
would feel really strange that they finally acknowledge my existence
to call me after all this time. It just feels

(38:13):
like a they for the big giant that has a
performance center. They again wait for you to be really
really seasoned, or bring you in and get rid of
you right away.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
Hey, kid, we like your work. Want to come in, kid,
I'm forty two. Bro. Uh yeah, I hear you on that.
Micah Over INWWE, you got the bill to Saturday Nights
main event this week. This weekend I saw on Peacock's
Saturday Night I believe that is eight pm Eastern Time

(38:44):
on the Cock as the kids call it. This week
on SmackDown. Now, if you're not sitting, sit because I'm
going to say something that's going to surprise you. Dissension
and what's left of the bloodline. Dissension in a faction
that involves solo Socla surprise.

Speaker 2 (39:07):
Well, dissension in the bloodline because the bloodline has been
built on family values, morals, designated physicians and everyone accepting
that position and liking it not I mean, I.

Speaker 1 (39:27):
Mean, I guess, uh, it's it seems like, look, there's
a reason you had two bloodlines and now you got one.
I guess again, dissension doesn't work.

Speaker 2 (39:45):
I don't really care. I guess we're building intrigue. And wait, Solo,
Socoa's back to having hutzma and landing someone with spikes.
He he's hot again, he's called again, he's he's money
in the bank qualified.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
Yeah, it look good for him. I think they do
need to make him stronger. Maybe he does go and
wins the money in the bank. What we'll have to see.
But yeah, Solo, Jacob FAUGHTU don't seem to be on
the same page, and the artist formerly known as Jeff
Cobb j C. Matteo doesn't seem to fit in well

(40:25):
as far as Jacob Foughtoo is concerned.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
Not really. It's like I'm bigger than you and you're
the muscle. I don't know. Jeff Cobb being shorter than
everybody kind of sticks out on WW a little bit
more than it did in New Japan when they had
the Junior waits. I don't know. We'll see how it
goes Jeff Cobb did debut, he did look tough. The
tour of the Islands has been a great finisher. He's

(40:49):
a powerful man and Ray Phoenix is getting spiked by
Solo Socoa already. That's where that's where he is. That's
that's what that's what that told me.

Speaker 1 (41:05):
Well, there's a pecking order, Micah, And you left out
for Jeff cobb new name after debuting at Backlash as
Jeff Cobb. Nah, j C. Matteo, all right, whatever, Yeah,
Jeff Cobb, sure, And I know we talked about that
at the beginning, but yeah, that's just a little weird

(41:26):
to me.

Speaker 2 (41:29):
Yeah. Alexa Bliss, the last member standing of the Wyatt six,
who won't be a member of the wya At six
because she's gonna align with Charlotte Flair. They're doing something
with both of them, and Alexa qualify for money in
the bank.

Speaker 1 (41:46):
So yeah, that's probably much better for her than being
associated with the Wyatt Six, which I'm convinced just goes away.
Maybe I'm wrong on that. I know Bo Dallas had
been dealing with an injury and that was why they
had been off a TV. If there's anybody there you
really want to do something with repackage them, and if not,

(42:08):
you might be better off just moving on.

Speaker 2 (42:11):
Haven't they chosen to release most of them before? Yes,
so I don't know if if they're gonna have much
desired use for them.

Speaker 1 (42:25):
Well, one man's trash is another man's treasure, and I
could see a super strong dark order about ninety days
after those releases. Micah just saying.

Speaker 2 (42:37):
We've had that chance before, We've had that chance before.
I don't think they can revival that one.

Speaker 1 (42:43):
I do not either, but yeah, you're probably right on
that go ahead.

Speaker 2 (42:50):
Has Mellow and miss separated themselves enough from the other
guys that are just like them?

Speaker 3 (42:59):
Uh no, but but Hayes at least attacked Malachi Black
and left him down in the ring.

Speaker 2 (43:13):
Yeah. So three weeks and Malachi Black's getting laid out
by the MIZZ and Carmelo Hayes, the first people they've
ever laid out as the Black. So much better used
in WWE than in ae W.

Speaker 1 (43:28):
Could have been worse. It could have been our Truth.

Speaker 2 (43:33):
Who's gonna headline a card in twenty twenty five a
main event? Ah, Truth speaks to kids, man.

Speaker 1 (43:45):
I guess.

Speaker 2 (43:48):
I was surprised that John Cena and wwe didn't try
to utilize and manipulize our truth's boyhood charm and a lord,
our love of John Cena more than just the randy oron.
I thought he'd use him more. I did not think
this was gonna lead to a I got a defeat

(44:09):
this imposter to bring back the real John Sata. No, no, no, no,
I didn't think people would buy tickets to see that.
Excuse me, did.

Speaker 1 (44:18):
You really say manipulize, manipulize? Look here, manipulize Jones, don't
be making a word. Alright, I'll kick you on the
yambag Jones, all right.

Speaker 2 (44:34):
I would just rather see h John Cena become the
ultimate manipulator. Let's give him some more cerebral assassin qualities
with his heel character and utilize again are our truth's
boyhood love of John Cena and analyzing him.

Speaker 1 (44:54):
This is so dumb, and let's let's put a pen
in Sena and and our truth until we get to
Saturday Night's made event. And I'll tell you why this
is so glaringly dumb that it makes no sense onceoever,
but I believe me, I feel you on this. I
don't under I said it after the Premium Live event.

(45:15):
All the people in the back are Truths, the one
you had interfere. I don't care what the reasoning is
him fighting this impostor John Cena to bring back the
real and whatever, whatever, it's just dumb and hokey.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
I think I know the reason because nobody else would
you want me? No? Do you want to spoiler for everybody?

Speaker 1 (45:38):
Sure? Go ahead.

Speaker 2 (45:40):
John Cena wants to work with his friends one last
time before going out, and he worked with Randy Orton.
Now he's working with Our Truth. But you can't be
fucking surprised if he doesn't work with them, is I mean,
if you've been there long enough to have been a
friend of John cenas he's you know, rubbing packs with
you one last time in the ring.

Speaker 1 (46:00):
But you could have done this on an episode of SmackDown. Instead,
you use this to end the Premium Live event and
keep the belt on Sena. And now you've got Seena
in Our Truth at Saturday Night's main event, and I'll
fuck it. I'm glad to say it now. It's not
even a fucking title match. You've only got John Cena

(46:20):
for a handful of matches left don't waste them on
dumb non title matches against people. And I'm not knocking
our Truth.

Speaker 4 (46:28):
Here, but in the WWE world, if Our Truth disappeared today,
no one would miss him as far as upper echelon
to the car title contention.

Speaker 1 (46:40):
And all again, I'm not crapping on the guy or
the character. I'm just WWE has told me this in
the way they've used him, So why in the fuck
are you wasting one of John Cena's last in ring
appearances against someone who has no chance of beating him.
It doesn't make any sense.

Speaker 2 (46:57):
Because most people have no chance of beating him. There's
only a few people are gonna have chances of beating him.
And we've already said it, and you've said it a
few times. You've articulated quite a few great times for us.
There's only four things that matter WWE, and that's six days.
The two days of WrestleMania, the two days of Summer Slam.
You get your Royal Rumble and your Survivor Series in there,

(47:19):
and there are only six days in the year that
aren't just another raw SmackDown. I don't care what you
call all these PL's, I don't care what you call
Saturday Nights. They're all raws and smackdowns. That's why if
you're wasting John Cena and a R SmackDown, you're wasting him. Anyway,
he got to choose his opponent. He chose his friend
Our Truth that I seriously don't understand what he's doing

(47:42):
to keep those five strands of dreads stuck in his
head because there is no other hair.

Speaker 1 (47:48):
Maybe he got a hair transplant, maybe he has seen
it went in together and there you go, that's further
tightening that bond.

Speaker 2 (47:57):
I don't know, man, And that's why there was one
full had worked one and most of it was John Seens.

Speaker 1 (48:02):
I guess Jeff Cobb or J C. Matteo beat l A.
Knight on SmackDown. His first ringed Yeah yeah, yeah, La Knight. Well,
poor La Knight. I mean, don't get me wrong, you
needed the former Jeff Cobb to come in hot. But
remember when La Knight was over like Rover And now

(48:23):
I'm not saying he's our Truth, but he probably is
pretty close to them is at this point.

Speaker 2 (48:29):
Well, I just know that he was over and he
had the US title and then we had him lose
it to Logan Paul and then they kept that up
and he was over and he won it back from
Logan Paul, and then they had him lose it, and
since then they've had him playing after it and then
lose to Solo Socoa and then lose to Jeff Cobb.
So I don't know who La Knight pissed off, but

(48:50):
somebody said, you ain't getting wins and you didn't do
good enough with the US title. So it feels like
he hit that proverbial ceiling for where WWE feels La
Night fits.

Speaker 1 (49:04):
You're surprised that they may have vented SmackDown with Tiffy
Stratton and Nia Jacks.

Speaker 2 (49:11):
Uh, yeah, Well, what ww has told me is that
they don't care if she can't wrestle. Tiffy Stratton is
a star. We are pushing her to the moon, and
when she had lights smacked Down, it needs to feel special,
it needs to feel like an it thing. But I

(49:31):
just feel that there's an overexposure to Tiffany Stratton and man,
this is where I really feel that the WWE old
model of five shows in seven days was hard on
the performers, but those reps were really valuable. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (49:47):
I mean, look, I'm not knocking Tiffy or Nia Jacks.
But it's obvious that WWE is out to prove our
women's division is better than aw's. Even if they don't
acknowledge it. The fact of the matter is it's not
and not knocking Stratton or Naya Jacks. But if you

(50:09):
watch that and watched the title eliminator on AEW this week,
you saw who had the better women's wrestlers. Uh, plain
and simple, I'm not again, I'm not knocking Stratton and
Jack's at all. They went out worked hard. There was
a couple of little awkward spots and I had to

(50:29):
stop so Tiffy could do her back handspring thing and
and all that stuff. That that was a little weird,
but it just other than because they could, there's no
logical reason that they put that in the main event.

Speaker 2 (50:46):
That's the logical reason why I had they had that match.
They kind of didn't make Naya Jacks a big part
of any story with Tiffy. Yeah, they kind of brushed
over they that that's the dissension that you like so
much was evident here with Tiffy stabbing Naya in the
back and for doing that, not Tiffy has become beloved

(51:08):
and they kind of blew over the Naya revenge factor.
They rushed it. It felt like they needed to do
something here, And yeah, I feel like it's not that
I want to criticize Tiffy and Naya, but as you said,
there was a couple of little bumps in the road.
It just feels like there's always a couple of little
bumps on the road, like Anna Jay versus Megan Bain

(51:31):
where they combine have three years and they're on ae W,
the the insignificant ae W that doesn't draw any fans
or any attendance. When you're there and there's bumps in
the road, we understand it because you're not on the
big stage. But when you're the WWE World Champion headlining

(51:52):
SmackDown week after week and it's this multi layered juggernaut,
it feels just a little more more evident that, Wow,
these bumps in the road are quite consistent. That's shocking.

Speaker 1 (52:04):
Wow, you should shitt all over aw.

Speaker 2 (52:07):
Well, yeah, supposedly they're insignificant. B tow is this great,
but you know their world champion can't get through a
fucking match without a bump in the road. He was
glad I take I'll take pride in it. WWE heard
me three weeks ago. I asked you, guys, and I
asked you specifically, does NXT have a better women's division?

(52:30):
That smacked out and they said, shit, you're right, Rats
and Julia, come on up, you guys get the call
because you are both ready. Stephanie Vancour, Jordan Grace. There's
women's talent coming on the way to make the WWE
women's division as good as the AEW women's division. There's

(52:51):
no comparison there. Uh, it's just surprising.

Speaker 1 (52:56):
You know what's surprising. Remember back six weeks ago when
bron Breaker was a badass, and now here we are
and he's basically solo breaker, you know, a little lackey
to seth Rollins and and Paul Hayman and yes, say
it was by DQ but racking up L after L.

(53:22):
Don't get me wrong. In the grand scheme of things,
this is going to work out very well for bron Breaker.
But damn it seems like in a very short period
of time he has taken a step back just to
eventually take a couple of steps forward.

Speaker 2 (53:36):
Maybe it'll take a couple of steps forward. We now
have a definitive character for bron Breaker. We know he
is a second, we know that he is the heavy
to seth rawlins. That was better than I'm gonna attack
this guy this week. No, wait, where are my dogs?
I'm a good guy. I'm a bad guy. At least
we now know who Bron Bradker is. But like you said,

(53:59):
the and W's are not gonna equivocate in this position.
It feels like you are there to take the pin
on Saturday night in a tag match. I'm sorry, you're
less than Sammy. You're obviously less than CM Punk. Ron
Breaker is there to rack up ols for CM Punk.
And that's where I kind of have thrown out to you.

(54:20):
I wonder if there could have been a third man,
because if you bring in a Austin Theory, a Brayson Walder,
that's all they're there in w W E to B
is to rack up else. Hell, you could put Carry
and Cross in that group. He is just there to
pick up ols at this time. But it feels like
you said, bron Breaker, and you're right, they want to

(54:40):
take some eventual step forward with him.

Speaker 1 (54:43):
Yeah, but they they seriously they've made him solo so cola.

Speaker 2 (54:49):
That's why I felt like they needed Chase Matteo in
the group. I mean, someone to take those faults would
have been a lot better. But Breaker will come out
better for this. I don't know why is Kyrie saying
a pirate again? Was there like no pirate policy and
damage control?

Speaker 1 (55:09):
I guess I don't know. At least we now have
a definitive role for her Micah are what a pirate
is that?

Speaker 2 (55:21):
Like we have a role for Shinsky Nakamura. He cuts promos,
they put bottom thirds under it, we translate for him,
and then he still returns to lose. But each time
he does it, he does it with a cooler mask
and a better intro. So we're not gonna care. We're
gonna care when he promos and says I'm coming after you,

(55:42):
Drew McIntyre or La Night or Teamian Priest, whoever he
is calling out, that's triginally gonna beat him. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (55:47):
Basically, basically, Logan Paul showed up on Raw this week
and he's coming for that world title. He got involved
in the uh USSO on solo breaker so CoA match
and which of course led to the DQ. I like

(56:09):
Logan Paul in WWE. I know some people don't. I
don't think he should win the title here and I
don't think he does. But I don't know. Are you
have you warmed up at all to Logan Paul or No.

Speaker 2 (56:24):
I I'll indulge in the conversation that he is good
at what he does.

Speaker 1 (56:30):
I will.

Speaker 2 (56:31):
The matches are very well done. I can appreciate him
when he's there. When he's not, I don't care, and
I don't think about him. I don't know if I
consider him an enhancement. He's there for the star power.
WWE makes use of him well, he has athleticism. If

(56:51):
you told me he decided that he got money off
of Prime Bitcoin and never had to come back to WWE,
I wouldn't care. I mean, that's just straight what it is.
He's a part time pro wrestler. He's a good part
time pro wrestler. But I mean, I just I don't

(57:12):
care that much about him. The only part I do
care for is that no one has told him to
stop attacking Jay Uso because he's knocked him out like
four times. Eventually, that's gonna get bad for the brain.
That's just like Brad for the product. Like there's a
mileage thing on a body, and if Jimmy Husso is
just getting tacked and tagged and tagged, it's gonna be

(57:33):
a short lived tidle ring.

Speaker 1 (57:35):
Yeat jay Uso, you said, Jimmy don't matter, No, it
really doesn't.

Speaker 2 (57:45):
Yyyy. Okay, So this is another thing. And this just
bothered me. Okay, I've seen and we know a local
pro wrestler that hosts a lot on social media and
he'll put things out there for younger professional wrestlers. And
some of it is you gotta have the nicest gear.
You gotta update your gear, you gotta be on the

(58:06):
on the cutting edge. Oh, he's updating yourself. Right, you've
seen those those comments before, right, And when jay Uso
shows up on the same sweats I'm wearing right now,
the same black sweats and a pair of white socks
and a wife beater, I'm like, huh, that's our w
WE champion. Same dude. I just passed by at the

(58:27):
seven eleven get in a forty And there's just something
about the dress down jay Uso that I didn't realize
it was casual night on Monday. It made me appreciate
Gunther's soup fine suits.

Speaker 1 (58:40):
Is it any worse than the top Fuel faction in
AW and your AW World champion wearing white undershirts and
black cargo pants.

Speaker 2 (58:50):
At least they're supposed to be sadistic nuts looking like
their whole from like the middle of Montana. I mean,
I didn't want my first association with ju So to
be a common street thug that I run into at
seven eleven? Like do you get where the two attires
bring up? Those two first thoughts, crazy nut dut on

(59:13):
the corner.

Speaker 1 (59:14):
I don't think either one of them work. I'll say
this for Jay Uso, at least the attempt is there
to look young and hip, whereas I don't think you
could say that with the Death Riders over in AW.
You're right, they're all they're not trying to look hip either.
They are going for that. I don't know that derangedness,

(59:40):
maga camp type thing. Something I don't know. Uh yeah,
I guess I don't know anything else from SmackDown and
Raw Before we get to Saturday X main event.

Speaker 2 (59:50):
Day us is in his forties. Also, right, I'm aware,
is okay? Just make it When you said trying to
be young and hip, I was just like, he's another
one of our forty year old clan that WW likes.
I'm assuming then.

Speaker 1 (01:00:03):
Well he's not forty, he's thirty nine and he's been
there forever, so well, he's at.

Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
Least one of those young prospects that they picked up
that they kept him and his brother and Kofi Kingston
and trying to think about who else they haven't fired
and kept all that time. I mean Johnson and Randy Orton.
It's not along lest.

Speaker 1 (01:00:26):
People, It's not. It's not. So you get Saturday Night's
main event this week again, eight pm Eastern Time on
Peacock Jay Usso Logan Paul World Heavyweight Championship. I don't
think we're doing a title change on Saturday Night's main event.
I also think it's way too early to consider taking

(01:00:47):
the belt off HUSO anyway, So I'm assuming one way
or the other, USO gets to win. I expect Logan
Paul is going to look really strong though.

Speaker 2 (01:00:58):
Yeah, I don't have much to add on that one.

Speaker 1 (01:01:03):
Sorry.

Speaker 2 (01:01:03):
I think your your thought process is totally on. A
Jake Paul title change is always a threat, and oh
should I did it again? I mean a Logan Paul time.
I don't care about these dudes, so it's possible for
that dude, he's so famous, to grab a belt because
it would only mean big headlines, huge trends and shocking shit.
But we're not getting a title change on a Saturday night.

Speaker 1 (01:01:25):
You're probably right on that. See them Punk Sammy Zay
versus Seth Rollins bron Breaker. We kind of touched on
this earlier. If Punkin Sammy Zay are winning, bron Raker's
taking the L right.

Speaker 2 (01:01:40):
And if Raker and and Rawlins win, I guess Sammy
has to take the LT because I like, just hit me.
Can they really take an L this soon into forming
the new faction? Can Hayman and Rollins and Breakers plans
already be diverted? Can they really afford a loss this quick?

Speaker 1 (01:02:05):
Probably not.

Speaker 2 (01:02:07):
What saying takes the album?

Speaker 1 (01:02:12):
Damien Price, Drew McIntyre steal cage. Am I a bad person?
If I say I don't care one way or the other.

Speaker 2 (01:02:20):
If I can do a cage match, you can do
a cage match. Anything you can do, I can do too.
That's all this screams to me is that somebody was
watching Joe and John Moxley in a cage match and
they're like shit, you know what we should do a
cage match.

Speaker 1 (01:02:35):
I got an idea, guys, let's do a cage match. Yeah,
you're probably.

Speaker 2 (01:02:41):
Assuming Damian Chris wins. I'm cheering for Drew McIntyre.

Speaker 1 (01:02:47):
I don't know John Cena versus Our Truth, and it
can't even be for the gosh darn title Micah, it
is a non title match. What in the actual effort
we doing with the end of John Cena's career. Now, look,
I don't think there's a chance in hell Our Truth

(01:03:07):
is deserving of a title match or that he would win.
But if you go to waste one of John Cena's
last in ring appearances, at least have him defend the title.

Speaker 2 (01:03:19):
Who's wasting it?

Speaker 1 (01:03:21):
WWE.

Speaker 2 (01:03:23):
They're selling out an arena. They're gonna have oodles and
oodles of sales from whatever. Where is this? Where is
Saturday Night? Where are they doing this from?

Speaker 1 (01:03:33):
I believe they are in Tampa.

Speaker 2 (01:03:36):
They're gonna have tons of Tampa possibly Lightning or Buccaneers
theme John Cena t shirts. You're gonna make a shit
ton of money. You're gonna sell a ton of merchandise.
That's never a waste for WWE. I see it being
a financial winfall, it's a weekend, it's a special event. Again,

(01:03:57):
if it's not one of the Big four, they're all
the same. So this makes as much sense as anything,
because I can't tell you who I care to see
John Cena Wressel at the end of his run. The
Randy Oron thing made a lot of sense, and then
I regret wanting to see that happen. So at this point,

(01:04:21):
I don't know what I'm craving for, Like, who are
the greatest foes of John Cena that are still left
in WWE that we would want to recreate this chemistry
seth Rawlins looks to be busy, and that's like the
best one I can think of.

Speaker 1 (01:04:37):
If AEW announced this Wednesday on Dynamite, John Moxley versus
Evil Uno in a non title match, what's your reaction,
Because that's what WWE is doing for Saturday Night's main
event with John Cena versus Our Truth.

Speaker 2 (01:04:56):
I wouldn't expect sixteen thousand people to sell fucking whatever
Aena and Tampa they're going to, and I woantn't expect
all of them to waste their money on John Seena
merchandise because it's beneath any of us kind of match,
and I would expect a revolt against the company because
do you really think you can hand us any kind
of crap and we're just gonna eat it up as
your audience. We're that pathetic to unthink for ourselves. We're

(01:05:18):
that much drones that just because you're in our city,
we're gonna go. People would not do that for Evil
Uno versus John versus John Moxley, but you're gonna suck
that WWE t for John Cena versus our truth. This
is insulting to all of us as wrestling fans. You
were totally honest. But I don't see anybody saying we're

(01:05:40):
not watching it. I'm sure they're gonna do fine. I'm
sure more people are gonna watch it. Do we deserve better? Yeah,
but how do we get better if we all watch it.

Speaker 1 (01:05:53):
I don't know that I'll watch it.

Speaker 2 (01:05:56):
We're not gonna watch it, and we're not gonna talk
about it next week.

Speaker 1 (01:05:59):
I mean, you're right, I would probably have to watch it,
but that's the only reason why now there'll be nothing
else exactly. You know, Look, I'll be honest, if Collision
was on Saturday this week, even if there was a
chance it was gonna cut off with a half hour
plus left in the show, I'd roll the dice on collision.

Speaker 2 (01:06:20):
I have a bar plan for Sunday, and I might
roll the dice on the road Wi Fi or Internet
signal giving me the data to let me watch Peacock
at that point.

Speaker 1 (01:06:31):
Now, you're right, they're gonna sell you just as many tickets.
I don't know that they care that much one way
or the other about the number of viewers on Peacock,
So does it hurt them? No, But as a wrestling fan,
I find it very insulting that you're giving me on

(01:06:52):
one of your bigger shows. John Cena versus our Truth,
And it ain't even for the damn time. First of all,
the match itself, but then it ain't even for the title.
It's a non title match.

Speaker 2 (01:07:04):
That's how little WWE thinks of all of us fans,
that they're willing to do this. You are all, You
are totally right in all your points. The story makes
some sense. We know the match will be okay. They
have both good athleticism left. But our truth is saying
nothing is worth nothing, and that is what WWE has
handed to us for quite a long time, but I

(01:07:26):
would I would like to indulge going real quick on
that sidebar, who should this be? Johnsen has got a
couple of matches left. Who are the names that you
would like to see Johnsena interacting with.

Speaker 1 (01:07:42):
Anybody who's been somewhere close to the end of the
show on SmackDown or Roll. Now, Look, obviously you're in
a holding pattern until Cody comes back, and that's probably
sooner rather than later. But the reality is anybody in
a fearing in the orton Sena match would have been better.

(01:08:03):
Anybody in this spot would have been better. Now, look,
maybe you don't want to hurt anybody like a younger
talent by having them lose be in this position with Sena,
and let's be honest, it ain't gonna hurt Our Truth.
So there's that. By the way, Our Truth is five
years older than John Cena. By the way, John Cena
on his retirement tour, he's five years younger than our

(01:08:25):
I like Our Truth. This has nothing to do with him.
It's just the way WWE has used him and where
he's positioned in that company. This match is not worth
If John Cena were doing house shows, this will be
a fine house show match. But it ain't. It ain't
even wrong or SmackDown worthy, never mind a Saturday Night's

(01:08:46):
main event or a premium live event.

Speaker 2 (01:08:49):
John Cena working with Drew mcintim. See. The problem is
he's been a face for so long, a face for
so long that most of the names that come to
mind are heals, So it's weird for him to be
healing me to think about faces, but just throwing it out,
I would have much rather if you could somehow this
was AJ Styles, you know what I mean? Ye, that
feels like a good name, and AJ Styles a seth

(01:09:11):
rawlins a sam Mu's ain't. These are some of the
names if we're going heal Sena that I would have
rather seen in this position. Are Truth's too awkward? Uh,
we don't actually have a tag team match, but we
get both world title matches on this one, and I
don't even think we get a women's title match. It's
a interesting Saturday Night lineup, but you got the two

(01:09:31):
big guns a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:09:33):
Of men on Saturday Night's main event. Yeah yeah, neither
one of the tag titles on the line or anything.
Yeah yeah, just your you're jay Uso defends his title
and then sena non title match, his title not on
the line. Yeah, that's crazy, short, sweet, simple, Saturday Night

(01:09:57):
and Tampa.

Speaker 2 (01:10:00):
I don't appreciate the card at all. Does this feel
like WWE and their their love of pro wrestling they
just saw it open Saturday Night and they felt like
they needed to throw a show or does this feel
like another attempt to I don't know. I'm just trying
to take any kind of steam away from ae W

(01:10:20):
this there feels like there's almost too many shows from
WWE where we're pointing out this is a non consequence.

Speaker 1 (01:10:29):
This feels like a Shotgun Saturday Night. Do you remember
that show back in the day?

Speaker 2 (01:10:35):
Was I like four or five years old?

Speaker 1 (01:10:38):
I forget you're young. It would have been just pre
Monday Night Wars Sunday Night Heat era if you remember that.

Speaker 2 (01:10:48):
Oh wait, okay, I remember Sunday Night Heat. I do
not remember Shotgun Saturday Nights, but it feels like an
hour show that was really quick.

Speaker 1 (01:10:57):
Yeah, I mean Stone Cold was around here in this
Shotguns Saturday Night era.

Speaker 2 (01:11:02):
Did they do like a live watch along from a bar?
Or was that Sunday Night they.

Speaker 1 (01:11:05):
Did the fights in the bars? Yes? Yes, you've probably
seen online Terry Funk getting the Austin's at ringside at
commentary and they get into it and Funk go there.
Actually I say ringside, they were actually in the crowd
doing commentary and Funk goes into the crowd after Austin
and all that. Yeah yeah ya yea, yeah yeah yah
yeah yeah. Anywhoy. Look, it's fine. It is what It's

(01:11:29):
not fine, it is what it is.

Speaker 2 (01:11:30):
You got to imagine for the live fans, there has
to be some dark matches.

Speaker 1 (01:11:36):
I would hope so. But I mean, if you're gonna
make me watch Otis versus Grayson Waller, Uh, you.

Speaker 2 (01:11:49):
Don't think we get Knaca Ou versus Rusa all of
a sudden.

Speaker 1 (01:11:53):
Didn't we get that on Monday night?

Speaker 2 (01:11:57):
Didn't they postpone it till next Monday night?

Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
I forget my mind. Kit can only handle so much prop.

Speaker 2 (01:12:08):
And the last thing is are you any more entertained
with Santos Escobar, Andra Day and what seems to be
the unraveling of Legato da Fantasma.

Speaker 1 (01:12:20):
Remember earlier how we were talking about the best women's
wrestling is in aw Yes, the best Luca Slash Mexican
wrestling also resides in AEW in the US. I'm not
talking about actually in Mexico, but it also resides in AEW.

Speaker 2 (01:12:39):
And if you guys felt differently, let me know. On
X they used to call that Twitter. You can find
me at frankl Micah.

Speaker 1 (01:12:47):
Get the show on ex at PW After Hours, Get
