Speaker 1 (00:05):
What's up, everybody. Welcome back to Pro Wrestling after Hours.
I'm Michael Carlisle, joined as always by Micah Frankomiicah w
shake It Man.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
The September to remember all Out PALLUSA.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
This week wrestle Palooza. We've got all out big times
in the wrestling busness. Speaking of wrestling busness, the worst
kept secret in the business, if you will, uh American
Dream there worst kept secret because it had been rumored
for a while. The Saudi has put out a press
(00:39):
release early and had to recall it. But the announcement
last Friday, WrestleMania headed to Saudi Arabia.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Everybody Reid, Everybody reod. I don't know if you're actually
allowed to like do a congo line and touch each
other in Riod, but you get the theme. If you've
got a big money entity boxing anything to do with
TKO shit, the NFL, the NBA businesses open to billionaires,
and the Saudia Investment Fund has a shit ton of money.
(01:11):
And ri ODD season is bought a very big beloved
WWE spectacle tent pole event that usually brings people from
the world around. I wonder if that's gonna change for
this one big announcement, russell Mania International for the first time,
(01:35):
second time, second time, right, no.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
A third time. Well, they've done Canada a couple of times,
but first time outside of North America. It was going
to happen at some point. I don't like this. Well,
there's a variety of reasons I don't like it. However,
at the end of the day, I completely understand it.
(01:58):
I completely get it. If Saudi Arabia is willing to
pay you two hundred and fifty million dollars to bring
WrestleMania to Saudi Arabia, do you know what you do, Micah.
You pack up the trucks, you find a fucking freighter,
you drive those trucks on the freighter, and you sell
your ass to Saudi Arabia.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
That's business, and that's what the Board of Directors will
direct the people that run WWE to do, and that
is what is being done. This is a business, and
the business is a business of making money, and they
are going to make a lot of money. Those are
all facts. I would give you more than as many
(02:39):
minutes as you want to list every reason though that
you don't like this. I mean, we can go through
the list of Carlisle. I mean, I've been waiting for this,
like Kevin Owens waited for the list of Jericho.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
Well, part of it is an old school thinking. And look,
don't get me wrong. I know pro wrestling is big
in different places in the world, but pro wrestling, WrestleMania specifically,
it's an American thing. It's a North American thing. And
I don't mean that beat your chest, wave the flag thing.
I'm just stating that's what it is. To be that
far away. Strikes me as a little weird. Look, we
(03:19):
could get into the politics of it. Don't feel all
that good about all that, but look, this is nothing new.
The WWE has been doing events over there for quite
some time, so that that can no longer be a
hold up. But the word is WWE got forty million
for WrestleMania in Vegas last year. I don't know what
(03:44):
they would have gotten elsewhere this year, but I know this.
Two hundred and fifty million is several times more than
forty million. So every single time you're gonna choose that money.
And I don't even mean that as all they're greedy.
Is just about the money. That's just fucking common sense.
(04:04):
So I mean I get it.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
It coincides with the interesting platform recently from WWE, and
I hope this ties back in because I don't really
want to get away from the WrestleMania announcement. But we
have wrestl Paluza coming up this weekend and there's a
rumor that tickets have been slashed for wrestle Paloza. If
you're wondering why, Well, it's the debut event on ESPN,
and I believe they wanted to pack up thousand or
(04:27):
is that an incorrect notion that I heard that pipes.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
I don't believe them. I don't. Look the ticker price
might have come down some, but I don't think there's
been a slashing of prices. That they've been moving tickets
very well. I know they've sold more tickets for Wressel
Palouza than AW has for All Out. Now look, AW
is also close to a sellout for their so I
mean they're close to their cap. They know that they
haven't had a problem selling tickets. They might be looking
(04:51):
to sell more. I wouldn't totally discount that, but tickets
are moving pretty well for Wressel Palooza.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Well, we also heard the and I'm sure this isn't
Is this also true false? Let's fact check this one
that there have been WWE executives or TKO executives, TKO executives,
Excuse me, I was already gonna have to fact check
myself on that one that have asserted that ticket prices
(05:17):
will start to rise to more of a UFC level
for pl E events. I'm not sure if that's true
or not.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
Oh no, that's one hundred percent true. That came out
at the earnings call last week. Yes, the knock was
Vince McMahon price w W E tickets for families. We
need to get those ticket prices more in line with UFC.
(05:45):
W they're gonna price themselves out of the market. And
whereas I'm convinced at this point, UFC can't price themselves
out of the market. The market just grows. There's definitely
a cap on what WWE can do because there is
a viable competitor. And for me, ww tickets were already
pretty much at that point anyway, where I'm just like,
(06:06):
I can't believe anybody would pay this to go to
a raw. If they're increasing ticket prices, this will have
an adverse effect on WWE.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Oh shoot, I that is, it's just mind blowing in
that way.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
And the thought that hit me in.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
The head about this was they're two different targeted audiences.
I mean, you and I are big kids that will
still buy professional wrestling t shirts. But a lot of
the WWE product and calling card, besides the attitude era,
has been a child emphasized product, the superhero echelon, the
(06:50):
family kind of wholesomeness of wrestling events where you get
the more gore and other kinds of things from these
other promotions. And also it's just a different targeted audience
WWE to UFC. You look at the twenty year olds,
the different influencers. You are getting some celebrities, but but
(07:13):
they're usually there with their kids. It feels like it's
it's a ground shaking announcement, as you said, to the
families that seem to be the base of the fans
of WWE.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
Yeah, oh for sure. Real quick. On the Wrestle Poluza thing,
as of Monday, they had sold and fifty three tickets.
I know late Monday they opened up another section to
accommodate more people. So they're not having a problem moving
(07:46):
Wrestle Polluza tickets.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Okay, just something I had seen fact check that one.
That's wrong. Tickets are going up for WWE, that is correct,
and I thought that that financial also plays into the
thought of Okay, so are going up and now you
just heard that. Congratulations to them, but their site fee
almost went up six times. We've went through the world
(08:11):
of business before. If you're not growing, if you're not evolving,
you're failing. Are we on the verge of most pls
being in Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia? Like you said,
two hundred and forty million dollars is a lot to
turn away. And what we know about those sovereign nations
(08:34):
is they love to use their investment funds to compete
against each other in an entertainment aspect. So are we
on the verge of losing these big temp Pole four
events from American soil, I guess would be the way
to say it, or North American soil?
Speaker 1 (08:50):
I think generally speaking, yes, ww is going to look
to take more events internationally, whether that's SAW or wherever.
But look all right, backlash money in the bank, alright,
those are one thing. Your WrestleMania is, your summer slams,
(09:11):
even your royal Rumbles, your Survivor Series, your Big Four.
It is worth it for cities to bid and to
meet that price point, especially if you can find someone
who will help cover that for you. So I don't
think PLS in the US is going away by any stretch.
But look, here's the thing with Saudi Arabia. I don't
(09:36):
know anybody that's giving WWE more money than the Saudi's.
They're already paying fifty million for like Crown Jewel and
each of the other events they carry there. You're paying
two hundred and fifty million for WrestleMania. No sane, rational
business person would ever turn that down and say, no,
(09:57):
we're gonna run WrestleMania in Minneapolis St. Paul. No, we're
going to go back to New Orleans. We kind of
owe them, We have them over. You're taking that money
every time, and yes, if that money is available, you're
gonna listen.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
That's that's the concern that I have, And not for
money in the bank, not for Elimination Chamber. But it's
those Big Four, and it's the ability for those temples,
and it's the ability to have that negotiation lever with
these cities. You're already now commanding the site fees. Well
now you're saying, okay, well, well, now Saudi gave us
(10:35):
two hundred million dollars and hey, you guys are offering
us three million, four in your house, we could call
Saudi and they might give us four million, five million
just for this one event to add another one. What
kind of negotiation, lever do you feel this is for
WWE to have a oil fund of money that's will
(10:57):
and a guyser for them.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
Well, look, I don't think. I don't know that there's
any city here in the US that's going to offer
two hundred and fifty million for WrestleMania but exactly. But
I don't know that the Saudi's are going to offer
that every year either. I would assume your preference most
years is to run it somewhere in North America. So
I don't think that's going away per se. But again,
(11:22):
you're not. You're just not turning down that money. You can't.
You would be foolish to, honestly, And I mentioned this
talking about the boxing on our MMA show MMA After
Hours right here on the After Hours podcast network. TKO's
a publicly traded company. You don't have the luxury of
(11:45):
choosing and deciding what you want to do what's right.
You also have an obligation to your shareholders to give
them a return on an investment. And if you're not
acting in the best interest in the shareholders, you've got
major problems. So when someone's offering you two hundred and
fifty million dollars to take WrestleMania to Saudi Arabia, and
(12:07):
your other option is, and I'm just gonna pick a
city and a number at random's Chicago and it's seventy
five million, you have to go to Saudi Arabia. Otherwise
there's a shareholder uproar. So you do have the it
is a business, and you do have that obligation to
your shareholders. And if the Saudia is going to pay
(12:30):
two hundred and fifty million dollars for WrestleMania, WrestleMania is
going to Saudi Arabia, whether you like it, whether I
like it, whether anybody else likes it. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
See that that's the part I need to reckon with
how the how the fan base feels, how the consumer feels.
Because I understand how the board feels. They're fucking popping
champagne and celebrating. I understand how the publicly traded company works.
I understand how the how the financial side of it works.
I want to be excited as a as a podcaster
(13:01):
of this art form and a wrestling fan. I'd like
to be excited about a WWE announcement, and and I
fail to be able to have anything besides a visceral effect.
I feel like Danie O'Brien after he had to watch
(13:21):
Tony Storm get stapled in the ve Jadge this week,
Brian Daniels spent a little sickening. Yeah, Brian Danielson, I'm
always gonna fuck that name up every Yes, yes, all right.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
You want a reason to be excited as a wrestling fan.
WWE is doing phenomenal business. This further shows they ain't
slowing down. They're not going anywhere. In the last year.
You're moving your your pls to ESPN, the worldwide leader.
More on that in a second. You're gettingwo hundred and
fifty million dollars to take WrestleMania to Saudi Arabia. That's
(13:56):
your reason for excitement. And if that doesn't excite you,
that that's cool. I get it. You're probably not planning
a WrestleMania trip, whereas if it were in Saint Paul, Chicago,
Vegas again, New Orleans. Maybe you are, maybe you aren't,
but probably less likely you're planning a trip to Saudi Arabia.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
They priced me out a long time ago. I have
family members in Tampa. I should have done my due
diligence and looked up one number. WrestleMania.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
This was.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
This was a couple of years ago. At that point,
those bleeds were like seven hundred dollars a ticket before
we looked up the service charges. I was like, I'm done.
I have an associate with Cageminds dot com who looked
up tickets for this year and he called me back.
He was like, dude, it is fourteen hundred dollars before
I look at the service charges for nosebleeds. Good for
(14:48):
WWE for making that money. I, as a consumer, am
astonished how they have priced many of us out of it.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
By chance, Micah, I wanted to bring this up. Did
you catch the Monday night football game? There were two
this past week, but specifically the Raiders Chargers game? Did
the second got.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
The second half?
Speaker 1 (15:10):
Did you notice late in the first quarter they did
a promo for wrestle Palooza. I had a little graphic
up there. I don't know who the announcers were because
Joe Buckett and Troy Aikman did the first game, but
first ple E on ESPN doing all the hype, and
they couldn't bother to hip up the announcer on the
(15:33):
proper way to pronounce John Cena's name. Brock Lessner takes
on John Senna this Saturday p l E Wrestle Palooza ESPN. Now, look,
the checks are still gonna clear. It ain't gonna keep
wrestling fans from tuning in. But if you're a casual
(15:55):
wrestling fan, if you're someone who used to be a
wrestling fan, you're looking to come back whatever whatever that
has to give you the perception ESPN really doesn't give
a flying fuck, and why should you. That just struck me.
It ain't even a damn hard name, John Cena. Come on,
(16:15):
even if you don't watch wrestling, you have to know
who the fuck John Scene is. You've seen promos for Wipeout,
You've bound to have seen one of his movies. You
have to have some knowledge of who the fuck John
Cena is. How can that name you fuck up?
Speaker 2 (16:32):
That's the part that have me laughing. Is that's how
swimmingly John Cena's acting career is going that an ESPN
broadcaster just totally did not even recognize it, hadn't seen
it foreign to him, not big enough, not a huge
pop celebrity. That's where John Senna is at this point
in his wrestling career.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
Yeah, all right, So we talked about what we've at
Wressell Palooza and aw presenting All Out this Saturday. You're
you're a big pl debut on ESPN. You currently have
five matches announced. My guess is that's what we're getting. Meanwhile,
All Out now you're gonna have a long ass pre
show as well. But you've currently got eleven matches announced,
(17:14):
and I won't be the least bit surprised if you
don't get one or two more.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
The fact that WWE don to name Wressell Palooza makes
me weep. There are so many creative names that you
could have used one night in Indy, a whole bunch
of other shit. They're culting it up. They're cultivating wrestling
for the first time on ESPN. I don't know, pull
some shit out of you ass, but Wressell Palooza should
(17:43):
be a title that is put on the side and
trademark copy written for like some little indie promotion that's
running like forty eight matches in two days doing something crazy,
maybe for aw doing twelve matches in a eight hours
a wrestle fucking Paloosa. But the least thing that WWE
(18:05):
will prove to ever give us again, even with a
two night Summer Slam and a two night WrestleMania, is
a fucking wrestle palooza that is far off the table
from them.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
Not all pl e pay per view names are created equal,
but DAMNALSA should be well. First of all, for me,
it just sounds cheesy before we even get to your point.
There are only five matches. How much of a palooza
is it. It's just a really cheesy ass name to
me that that I can't believe anyone in WWE came
(18:35):
up with this, And I don't know this. I'm just
begging that this sounds like something someone from tk O
came up with it. Yeah, I hear you, but you
got five matches. As far as the five matches, they're
all bangers hell. Let's yeah on paper anyway, Let's just
(18:55):
start uh vacant women's world title match you Sky versus
Stephanie Vakure. I can only assume that Cure is gonna
win here, but you never know. But that kind of
seems to be the way we're headed. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (19:12):
No, I'm a little confused on that one, because Stephanie
van Kerr matter. I mean, it would be the WWE
thing to do to have her on a bunch of momentum,
and then because Naomi was unavailable, you totally took Van
Kohorr off of TV. And maybe I'm the only one
that felt that that dirailed any of the hype for
(19:33):
like four weeks. I know, she just came back strong
win over Kyrie Saint still there with the fans, But
to me, the story between Edosky and the Kabuki Warriors
is where we're going. So do you think this is
a clean victory? Do you think this is a loss
that makes Osca ashamed of Itto Sky Because I really
(19:57):
don't care about the women's title. I really don't care
about Stephanie Vancourr at this point. I care a lot
more about Edosky where she's going with Oscar Kyrie saying
how Rhea Ripley is going to interject into this. None
of the rest of it matters because it hasn't been
focused on for like a month.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
To me, so you're gonna shot all over Cody Rhodes
versus Drew McIntyre here in a minute for the Undisputed
Championship because Cody's been off TV.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
It feels like, if you want me to get to
that real quick, a match that Tony Kohn would book
because it's so short sighted, Drew McIntyre attacked him right away,
and all of a sudden, they're in a title fight.
This felt like some ae W shit.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
I just needed a yes or no. Micah.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
Look, we have a door and I walked through it.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
Yes you did, Yes you did. It was not a
forbidden door. Though I hear what you're saying on the
storylines around this, I still think this is Stephanie the
Cures match to win or lose, but we'll see Jimmy
and jay Usso take on the Vision Bronson Reed and
(20:58):
bron Breaker. Everything I read says they're no plans to
turn jay uso Heel. Everything I see on TV makes
me say there's no way they're not turning jay uso Heel.
I can only assume read and break her are going
to get the win here. But I say what you
want about booking and all that, I think the USOS
(21:21):
are a phenomenal tag team. I'm glad to see them
back together, and I do think this is going to
be really good.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
I think that the two Bronze have to win. I
say that every time because we need him to look strong,
so I almost expect them to lose. But I feel
like it's a better storyline of friendly Fire from Jay
an obsessive, evil mean Jay on the verge of turning
heel decides not to, and then friendly Fire. We still
get the same action. He accidentally, though takes out Jimmy,
(21:49):
leading to the Bronze victory, and we get more frantic
energy of distrust between the bloodline because we can't not
have that.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
Or do you see La Night in a fear on
behalf of Bronson, Reid and bron Breaker. Uh, that faction
just keeps getting bigger. You may as well I add
l A Knight to it.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Yeah, that's beautiful. I love that. Let's grow the vision,
but would it almost would it be wasted to have
cmpunk turn in this match?
Speaker 1 (22:22):
Sampunk's not turning?
Speaker 2 (22:24):
I mean, fuck, me l A Knight turning this much?
Or could he go at taxim punk? Excuse me? Sorry?
Speaker 1 (22:29):
Oh I got you, I got you, I got you,
I got you. You can have him do both?
Speaker 2 (22:34):
Yeah, I look a huge night for La.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
Look, I'm not advocating l A. Knight joining the Vision.
I'm just saying I could see it's going that way.
I just yeah, I mean, I've complained about you missed
your opportunity with La Knight. Maybe you could kind of
right the wrong a little bit by having him join
the Vision. I don't know, maybe we don't get that up.
(22:59):
Maybe in the end he helps the use sos and
everybody gets back on the same page. I kind of
doubt that, but that's probably possible as well. You mentioned
see him punk. He and aj Lee take on Seth
Rollins and Becky Lynch in a mixed tag match husband
and wife versus husband and wife. How do you see
this one playing out? Micah?
Speaker 2 (23:22):
How do you feel about the word bump being used
in a promo because it kind of shook me in
a way that I didn't like for pro wrestling, bump bump.
That's fine, Hey, j Lee's like, I'm getting here. I'm
gonna I'm gonna take some bumps. I'm like, oh, you're
not sure how your body's gonna rack on your first bump?
What's that? That doesn't sound like anything I understand? Do
(23:42):
you mean your first slam, the first strike, the first
time you're slammed on the caavus? I felt that was
a lack of adequate storytelling, but I don't know. It's
something about just the way she phrased it.
Speaker 1 (23:54):
I was like, it not in the top twenty things
I had a problem with this past week.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
WI hear you list?
Speaker 1 (24:01):
Yeah? Yeah, yeah, no, I'm not saying your rhyme. It
didn't bother me at all.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
How do I think this match plays out? I'm assuming
that aj and CM punk get the victory, got to
make the fans happy and kind of lead to more
stuff for aj to be around. I mean, I logically
don't think that's what should happen, because you know, Becky
Lynch is a badass and aj Lee die after one bump.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
Becky Lynch used to be a bad ass. I don't
think she's been a bad ass for quite some time.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
She she did one slam and aj Lee laid their
incapacitated dead and seem Punk looked like a j Lee
had just got hit by a bus. He was so traumatized.
That doesn't build up the faith in me where we
know she's obviously gonna perform a much better and take
many more bumps throughout the match. Uh, it just feels
(24:56):
like that one bump ran her over just a and
again makes me question why see them punctions didn't go
grab Rhea Ripley, you know, not get someone half the
size of Becky Lynch but twice the size of Becky
Lynch to go in there and handle my business.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
That to me, that would be a way bigger issue
in this story than aj Lee talking about taking her
first bump. Just from a common sense standpoint, why would
you get and I look, I know we all know why,
But if you're looking at this as a real competition,
why would you go out and get one hundred and
five pound woman to be your mixed tag partner when
(25:34):
you could have gotten by your own admission, Rhea Ripley
or whomever. There would have been a long list of
women in the back. Yeah, from that standpoint, this makes
no sense at all. Of course we know why you
did it, but yeah, I assume Punk and aj Lee
win here. I kind of wish this would be it
(25:57):
for aj Lee, kind of a one off, if you will.
I don't think that's the case, though, by all accounts,
it sounds like she's gonna be around for a while,
So I don't think this feud goes anywhere or ends tonight.
You know, I think it continues. I don't think this
will be the end of it, but I would assume
Punk and aj get the win here.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
That's a little bit of why the uh, the importancy
of the match just wanes on me. I'm sure it'll
be good, I'm sure it'll be fun, but it doesn't
matter because it's just it's it's another chapter in a
long drawn out story, and and I can't wait for
that chapter where we get the one on one.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
Cody Rhodes defends the undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre.
Cody's been off TV for weeks. This match means nothing, right,
of course not.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
We got star power in Cody Rhodes. I don't know
who the fuck he is in street Fighter, but that
is more important than being on TV for WWE. WWE
needs tim to South tickets for this last minute p
l that they're pulling out all of a sudden for ESPN.
So shit, let's get a big hitter in there. Cody
is a big hitter and he's gonna run over Drew McIntyre.
(27:07):
And this is a very quick booking is this feels
like hey Man Page defending a title on on Dynamite.
We know he's just gonna win.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
Come on, when you need somebody to lose, you break
the glass and pull out Drew McIntyre. If Cody Rhodes
died in the ring, Drew McIntyre would have to roll
Cody on top of him so Cody could get the win.
There's not a chance in hell Drew McIntyre wins this match.
(27:35):
Doesn't mean it won't be good, doesn't mean it doesn't
lead to something more. But and I like Drew, but
that's just where he is in wwe probably not gonna change.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
I agree. I'd say my biggest overall quarrel with this
event it is the lack of storytelling from the storytelling
Juggernaut of the art of pro wrestling from like I
love it with the CM punk seth rawlins aspect, this
feels a little short sighted on them from how they
(28:07):
tell stories with Drew and Cody, and then Ittosky's lack
of interaction in Stephanie vancoor being off of TV. I
felt like there has been some minimization of how big
that should be. So I just feel like from the
Giant there's inconsistent storytelling.
Speaker 1 (28:26):
Oh, I would disagree, and here's why your story for
the women is the vacant world title match. I would
agree with you on Cody and McIntyre. Cody's been off
TV is hard to tell that story. I think there's
been great storytelling with the USO's in the vision, whether
you like it or not, the storytelling has been there
punk aj Rollins Becky, which you acknowledge, great storytelling there
(28:49):
and sin and Lesner tells itself and that's something that
they've been working on for since Brock made his return.
So I think the storytelling has been there. Now you
are right with this man specifically, it ain't there. I'm
a little surprised they put this match on the card.
You could have put something else there and just put
a little more focus on Sena and Lesner and that's
(29:10):
all you really needed. But WWE, I assume with the
ESPN debut felt like they needed Cody on the show.
So again you break the glass, you pull out Drew McIntyre,
and you have him do the job.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
I understand there's history between Lesner and Sina, but I
don't feel like there's been forward steps taken in storytelling
of why this match is happening at this time, in
this place and what aggravated Lesner to want right now,
Like you could have from this perspective, almost had Lesner's
(29:45):
up in there two months ago. It's is I hate
John Sena. It seems like we don't actually know why.
So that's where I feel like there's history. But I
don't have a story for Russell Paluza. Besides, hey, it
is Seena's retirement and him and Brock are good friends,
So is it gonna work at some point together?
Speaker 1 (30:04):
Your story is Lessner surprisingly came back a couple of
months ago and laid out Sena, and he wants to
end the career of Sena before the retirement tour ends. Now,
if you want to tell me that's a flimsy storyline,
that's subjective, and we could have that conversation. But but
but that would be your storyline there, or as ESPN
promoted it on Monday Night Football, Senna versus Lessner, not Sena,
(30:30):
but yeah, that that that would be your storyline there.
Real quick, I think we're in agreement. Cody's beating McIntyre,
so that gets us to John Senna, John Cena versus
Brock Lester. I also don't know that they really want
to give Lesner a ton of Mike time. I think
they've been selective with it, and probably for a good reason.
(30:54):
But yeah, I do think that the story has been there.
You also have to us see this was weird. Sena
should win because I don't think we're running this back
on the scene of retirement tour because you only have
a few dates left. But it would make a lot
of sense for Lessener to lay him out and lead
(31:15):
to a rematch.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
I got Ron Senna for the win?
Speaker 1 (31:24):
Is that our truth?
Speaker 2 (31:27):
No, that's Ron Sena, but he might look like somebody
that you know named Archers.
Speaker 1 (31:33):
So Wressell Palooza this saturd Day on your ESPN app
six thirty pm Eastern Time for Wressell Palooza, Michael, real quick,
before we move on to aw and talk about all
out this weekend. Wwe did make other headlines this week.
(31:54):
They released the recently signed Andrade. You surprised by that.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
You could see the writing on the wall. You can
act like you're a good soldier and go out there
and have a tag team match with Ray Fennix, But
he's not a face. That was not his desire, And
I didn't think that that was really a long term
project that Andrade himself was gonna be wanting to see through.
(32:26):
So I'm not really surprised by this. It's just another
interesting chapter. And I'm underused. I'm going here, I'm under used,
and I missed my wife. I'm going here now we
got divorced, and I'm underused. Where do I go next?
Speaker 1 (32:43):
I think he winds up in AW again.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
It's possible. Maybe we see him with a little rebuild
revibration down there in CMLL. Yeah, if he was going
to go triple A, I think they would have just
said he's still at AW. I mean with ww E
S too many letters, I'm saying CML I think is
(33:06):
far more likely.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
I believe if he goes back to AW, he would
be the first person to go WWE ae W WWE
back to ae W, So maybe a little intrigue there.
But if he wasn't happy with the way he was
used the first time. Probably ain't gonna be that much
different this time. But I think CMLL actually makes a
(33:28):
lot of sense. I wouldn't be surprised to see him
back there.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
I wouldn't be mad at seeing him Sammy and Rouche
go for a trios a six man title, and then
you have Beast Mortos and Daigalistiko as a tag team
or the Henchman. I could see him going back into LFI.
I'm pretty sure he'd still be on good accord with
his former constituents. That's a possibility. But I think I
(33:56):
like CMML cml L first Andrade, who again just continually
I think sees himself as a bigger star than everybody
else does. But at a point man he does deserve
to be used. He is a good worker. He'd be
more than great to beat Max Castor in the five
(34:18):
Minute Challenge if that was still.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
Around, they could bring it back just for that. Yeah,
I don't hate that idea, all right, Mike Good. In
addition to Russell Palooza Saturday Night Saturday Afternoon, ae W
presents All Out, they are in Toronto, Canada for that one.
Like we said, as we record eleven matches announced, I
(34:42):
bet there winds up being twelve, and at least three
of those will be pre show, maybe four. Let's jump in.
You got an eight woman tornado tailgate brawl, whatever the
fudge that is. But it's Harley Cameron, Mina, Sirkaala, Queen
Amanada and Willow Knight and versus Megan Baine, Penelope Ford
(35:03):
and Julia Hart and sky Blue. What are your thoughts?
Speaker 2 (35:08):
Is it time that we come up with another shape
of madness? Triangle is cool? I like a triangle, but
Megan Bine and Penelope foro it are really a part
of this crew. Like, we can't act like this isn't
a five woman ensemble when it's continually a five woman
ensemble working in symphony to benefit each other. Oh and
(35:33):
I really like if fucking EXCaliber could use the word
symphony instead of in concert. It just doesn't work in
the same understand what he's trying to get out of
me a little bit different, but fuck man, just use
the right terminology. That's the phrase that's been around for
a long time. Sorry, last sex Caliber, My bad, But
I'm okay with this match.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
It should be fun, uh, penta kind of madness.
Speaker 2 (35:59):
Pentha madness? Sure? Is that too much an infringement?
Speaker 1 (36:03):
Maybe? I don't know. I'm gonna assume the Faces win here.
Speaker 2 (36:09):
I'm all right with that. Minashio Karaw has a ring
of honor TV title, Willow Nightingale and her friendship with
Harley Cameron needs to deepen. A victory will help that,
and I think that will also help a wedge for
later in the night.
Speaker 1 (36:28):
You're probably right on that. More on that in a bit.
Adam Copeland Christian Cage versus FTR. I'd be really tempted
to have FTR go over here. I can't imagine Tony
Kahan would have Cope and Cage lose in Canada on
pay per view their first time teaming in Canada, and
(36:51):
what since two thousand and nine, why I forget well,
whatever they said, but for the betterment of the storyline
might make sense for you are to win here.
Speaker 2 (37:02):
I think that, like you said, there's a from us.
It's not just a looking at the path of the
story or how there's a betiment. Tony Kan's a bigger
kid than either one of us, and I think that
he's gonna be overjoyed to give Christian and cope that
moment in Toronto. But like you said, it's also tempting
(37:23):
to have any one of the returning Jack Perry all
the way to any other former Patriarchy or Jungngle Express
member come up and cost Christian in cage the match
to prolong these storylines. Who cares if FTR got a
dirty win, But I feel like they're not gonna stab
(37:45):
the crowd in the heart. I feel like we have
to have a high moment because Tony Khan loves him
some love.
Speaker 1 (37:52):
Yeah, my man Stokely Hathaway on Dynamite last week, really
say and I quote here, ain't nobody getting no hose
in this bitch?
Speaker 2 (38:02):
Yes? Yes he did, Yes he did. Who is he
calling the hose?
Speaker 1 (38:09):
The chicks?
Speaker 2 (38:11):
Who?
Speaker 1 (38:12):
No? He was talking about the fans and how they
were just like him. They were not getting any hoe.
They're all fat, they're ugly and just like him. Ain't
nobody getting no hose in this bitch. He's been the
best part of FTR. He's made me care more about
f and look, I ain't kno gonna FTR, but he's
made me care more about them than just watching them wrestle.
(38:37):
I don't think either of the two of them are
particularly good promo people, but damn Stokely Hathaway.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
Sure is they finally found the right position for Stokely Hathaway.
We've tried him quite a few factions, quite a few
stables management roles. This seems to be just right.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
Trios match the Hurt Syndicate Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and
MVP on Ricochet and the Gates of Agony. There's only
one thing here to me that makes sense, Mike. You
need Ricochet and the Gates of Agony to win here.
I know Hurt Syndicate dropped the tag Belts at the
last pay per view, but I don't think a loss
(39:17):
hurts them, especially if the MVP takes it, and you
could really solidify Ricochet and Gates of Agony but kind
of put them on the same level as the Hurt
Syndicate with a win and better this feud, which I
don't think ends after this match. So I would go
Ricochet in Gates of Agony here.
Speaker 2 (39:38):
I think Ricochet Gates of Agony. It only enhances the story.
It does nothing for them. If they got run over
hooker by Crook, it doesn't matter. If they do it
clean or not, we can keep this going and we
need them to look like remel.
Speaker 1 (39:53):
Thrats Mercedes Monette defends the TBS Championship against Rijo. At
some point in time, Mercedes has got to drop this
belt real, Oh, would make a lot of sense. But yeah,
I don't see that happening here. I think it's a
big night in Toronto for the CEO. CEO.
Speaker 2 (40:16):
I agree with you, the Mercedes needs to drop the
belt at some point. I just don't feel like it's yet,
and I feel like it needs to be with a
foe where there's a bigger story than this this kind
of rush two to three week ordeal that we've had,
or maybe it's just two to three episodes, but it's
too short sighted for me to believe it's going to happen.
(40:38):
But Rio does have a special place in certain executive's hearts,
so well, it's always a possibility.
Speaker 1 (40:46):
Yeah, but we haven't seen him since he got stretchered
out again, so.
Speaker 2 (40:51):
You know, and going back to that, at least it
was different than they They finally didn't take his abs out.
They finally like busted his brain with all of those,
so at least it was a different way of stretching
Kenny out. We finally didn't have to worry about him
puking up blood.
Speaker 1 (41:07):
He didn't throw up eight pints of blood, which is
more than the body has. But yes, John Moxley Darby
Allen Coffin match, I expect this match to be absolutely bonkers.
Speaker 2 (41:23):
I so want Darby to win because I want Darby
to be more than what Darby is. Darby's not winning here.
The Death Riders cannot take another blow, another pay per
view loss. You now have the new member, Daniel Garcia.
I feel he's gonna play some role in this match,
(41:44):
and John Moxley does get the victory, but it's like
Darby just came back. He's gonna do one big match
and keept putting a Coffin an undertaker for three months?
Speaker 1 (41:54):
What the hell you will? I mean, yeah, wouldn't they
do that.
Speaker 2 (42:02):
Because you could start trying to build Darby as you
need faces concurrently, because there's not many top faces healthy
at the top of the card, and we're gonna short
sight Darby. I'd like to have him around for a
few weeks well.
Speaker 1 (42:16):
And I'm sure he will be. But Darby doesn't have
to win he's been getting the upper hand the last
several weeks. I fully expect him to lose here. Probably
some outside interference, whether it's Garcia, the newest member of
the Death Riders, whether it's another new member of the
Death Riders, our returning member of the Death Riders, current
(42:40):
members of the Death Riders. Yeah, I just think it's
one way or the other. John Moxley's walking out with
the win here.
Speaker 2 (42:51):
I did appreciate that Daniel garcia immediate attire change immediately
to the hoodie, the shorts, the shorter shoes. I feel
like that there's been a tendency slow roll some of
those personality changes in aw and I liked that it
was immediately. Has showed how he shifted, how he shifted
into a different person with this decision, and I appreciated it. Okay,
(43:18):
I thought at the beginning the Death Riders looked too
much of in shambles. Even when they're in the Blackpool
Combat Club. There just need to be a lot more
cohesion in the direction of what are we grapplers, wrestlers,
psychos like everyone should have the same kind of feel,
And now they're getting to that way.
Speaker 1 (43:35):
Broddo, Brody King and Bandido will defend the aw Tech
team titles and a four way ladder match against teams
to be determined. Hard to really break this one down,
I'm going to assume Broddo retains here.
Speaker 2 (43:49):
Though well, obviously we're recording before Dynamite, before our three
hour extravaganza. Would you like to possibly throw your speculation
into the table for who will be the other three teams?
Because one is obvious. I believe that are Young Bucks
(44:13):
on the high of a five hundred thousand dollars victory.
They'll be like Stell and look at their groove back
and they're gonna get past the Bang Bang Gang. Oh.
Speaker 1 (44:22):
I think that one is pretty that's a pretty safe bet.
I'm trying to remember the other.
Speaker 2 (44:31):
Jet Speed versus kill Switch and Sabian. We also get
Josh Alexander and Hetchay Zero versus top Flight. I think
I'm going Alexander, Hetcha zero yep, and probably jet.
Speaker 1 (44:45):
Speed yeah and jet Speed Yeah. I would It is
probably a safe bet that's going to be your your match,
and I would absolutely have Brodita unless you're putting the
belts back on the Young Bucks, and I think it's
too soon for that. Yeah. I would have I would
have Rodito retain here.
Speaker 2 (45:06):
Brodie do. You cannot stop them, You can only help
to contain them, whether it's here or in cmml CMLL,
whether it's in Mexico, in America, in Canada, Broddo taking
over exactly.
Speaker 1 (45:21):
Big Bill takes on the returning Eddie Kingston. Good to
see Eddie Kingston back, Unfortunately for him. I don't like
this matchup for one simple reason. Eddie probably deserves to
win in his return, but if you're going to do
(45:42):
something with Big Bill, he needs to get to win.
I think Big Bill is victorious.
Speaker 2 (45:49):
I agree with you, and that's why Eddie Kingston is victorious,
because it's his triumphant return and they're not gonna sour
this moment. They should and Big Bill should go over.
Speaker 1 (46:00):
Much like uh, I don't think Tony Kahin's gonna have
Cope and Cage losing Canada. I don't think Eddie Kingston's
losing in his return, but he should.
Speaker 2 (46:11):
Yes, that is that is the problem. That is where
we're at, and that is definitely happening. Big Bills should
be winning them.
Speaker 1 (46:18):
Yeah, three way match for the AAW Unified Championship, all right,
You're gonna have to explain some stuff to me here. Takashka, Dorada,
Beast Mortos take on Okada. Why the fuck was Okada
in the eliminators to get to this match if he
was already the champion?
Speaker 2 (46:39):
What if he had lost, then Michael Oku would be
in this match.
Speaker 1 (46:46):
Aw does so much right, but when they do stuff wrong,
it sticks out like a sore thumb. To me, it
was dumber than shit to have Okada have to have
a match to get into this match when he's the
fucking champion.
Speaker 2 (47:00):
Yeah, he should have been the champion, and this unfortunately redundantly.
I think we already have a fatal four way. Yeah,
the for the tag titles, this should have been a
fatal four way because Occatta should have been already in
the winner circle, and they should have had Michael Oku
versus somebody else because we're still awaiting the Beast Mortes. Yeah,
Dorado Mascaro winner to enter in So you should have
(47:22):
had just somebody else in there instead of Okada, and
then this should have also been a fidal four way.
But for some reason, they looked at it set a
triple threat, and I guess they wanted to give Michael
Oku a match after sitting back there for weeks, which
he is a talent. I can't wait to see how
he grows. But it should just be somewhat simpler than
you said. Occotta should have not wrestled to get to
(47:44):
this spot.
Speaker 1 (47:44):
Yeah, MJF takes on Mark Risco in a tables and
tax match. I just hope they separate this from the
Moxley Darby Allen Coffin match because I think this will
also be quite the spectacle, and you can't have once
after another spectacle, so you gotta split it up a
little bit. But Brisco and MJF.
Speaker 2 (48:07):
It should be fun. Love Mark brisco MJF is pushing
his game to another level right now, even though where
I almost worry that acting is more of a priority
than wrestling for him with all the auditions he's going on.
But I think this one's gonna be really good. I
got MJF winning. We are not gonna fully obstruct him
(48:29):
from hang Man Page. This was a bump in the
road to lead to something bigger. It's gonna be a
hell of a match, crazy stuff. I think Mark Briscoe
goes through a lot of tacks. I don't know if
MJF is gonna go through as many. But I also
would be intrigued to see do we get some interference
(48:49):
from John Cruz. I do like that they did finally
bring mjf's CMLL persona onto ae W because it was
bothering me that on cruises around we know he's there,
but MGF wasn't utilizing him in the role. I feel
like a butler. It's not like he needs much enhancement
as MGF, but it wasn't gonna hurt him. And I
(49:10):
would have just liked that concurrency because we know he
needs his translator while in Mexico. It all just would
have made a lot of sense to have that character
go over because I already hate the WWE inconsistency of
who Natalia is who in there. I like the consistency
of how MJF is coming around to be the same
person no matter where he goes, even if it's drinking
(49:31):
with Hammerstone on Instagram for MLW.
Speaker 1 (49:36):
Yeah, I would expect the MJF to go through some
tax here. Now, Like you said, is it gonna be
as much as Brisco? Yeah, we'll see, But my guess
is there's gonna be a lot of plundering going on here,
Micah in the end plunder Yeah. In the I'm with you.
MJF has to go over because I lost to Brisco.
(49:57):
He has to take a step back from the champ
right from going after Hangman Page. We can't have that,
So heart fault match. Somehow m JF comes away with
a win.
Speaker 2 (50:07):
I like it. I like it. I'm in with it,
Like I said, maybe a little John Cruse interference.
Speaker 1 (50:13):
Who cares man Timeless? Tony Storm defends the AEW Women's
World Championship in a four way versus Jamie Hayter, Chris
Statlander and thekla It would be real easy if you
wanted to get the belt off Tony Storm, to do
it here and not have her take the pinfall. The
(50:34):
only way I see a title change is if we're
seeing new a new member added to the Death Riders,
and there's some interference that leads to Statlander's victory and
her anointment into the Death Riders.
Speaker 2 (50:50):
It's all about Wheeler Da, It's all about Marina Shaffir,
and I would be really, really fucking tempted if I
would Tony Kahan to turn Jamie haterheel and swerve everyone
and have her aligned with the Death Writers and layout
Chris Statlander for the pen and totally swerve all of us.
Speaker 1 (51:14):
At the risk of sounding like a sexist. Do you
need multiple women in the Death Writers? That's my only thing, like,
I think you should be selective about adding members period,
and if you wanted a debate about Daniel Garcia, we could.
But I don't know that we need more women in
the Death Writers.
Speaker 2 (51:34):
I would be fine with another woman and the Death
Writers from the thought process of then there would be
a woman wrestling representing the Death Writers. Marina Shaffer is
more of a second more of an accoutra monk. Even
though she's an opposing heavy, She's not traditionally active competitor
(51:55):
on aw. More of her work is done a ring
of honor, So I think she could still be in
the background, be that ominous figure you have a secondary in.
And then you even have Shafir accompanying her. She's accompanying Statlander, Hater,
she's just whoever you wanted to turn heel, and then
also accompanying John Moxley. Because I didn't know if you'd
like my Jamie Hater thought to swerve everybody away from
(52:19):
stat Lander because that seems so obvious, or do we
go with the obvious as we did with Garcia that
the uh soothing sounds of the sirens of John Moxley
and Wheeler you To are turning people.
Speaker 1 (52:35):
That's not the way I'd imagine Wheeler you To turning people.
But yeah, I don't. I don't see that happening, which
maybe is all the more reason it should happen. Mike,
I don't know. Statlander makes a lot of sense. All
that being said, I don't have a problem keeping the
(52:56):
bet on Tony Storm. She's the most overthing in a
male or female.
Speaker 2 (53:04):
I don't know what to do with her next. I
feel like taking the title off of her, maybe screwing
her somehow, or having this entity belt against her, having
her not involved with the pinfall. Then it wouldn't deter
from Storm, and maybe it would give her some direction
because at this point, after you beat three women by yourself,
(53:26):
I'm not sure what the next direction is for Tony Storm.
And we kind of had that same impass after Storm
beat Mercedes Monet. Well, will I believe you're right? She
is the biggest, most over, best performer going in aw
possibly professional wrestling right now. I might spice things up
(53:48):
with taking the title off her.
Speaker 1 (53:50):
I think if you had Mercedes drop the TBS title
to Rijo and this gets her focused on the world title,
you could immediately go back to that. I don't disagree
with you, and I don't think Tony Storm has to
have the belt, but I don't I don't think anybody
(54:13):
else is a better option right now, unless you're gonna
go big with a Statlander turn joining the Death Riders,
or like you brought up the surprise, maybe it's somebody
else that turns. It almost sounds disrespectful in a way
when I say I don't see anybody better, so just
(54:34):
keep the belt on Storm. And I don't mean it
that way, but I mean, like, I love Fekla, but
just her winning somehow makes no sense. Hater just winning
somehow doesn't make a lot of sense. I'd rather have
a one on one feud leading to Hater beating Tony Storm.
(54:55):
Statlander would make sense if there's a turn. Otherwise she
doesn't make sense either, to be honest. So in the end,
I think we either see a new member of the
Death Riders and they interfere to help whomever win, or
Tony Storm retains one of the two.
Speaker 2 (55:12):
I concur good sir yep.
Speaker 1 (55:14):
Hangman Adam Page defends the AW World Championship versus Kyle Fletcher.
I'm gonna give AAW a ton of credit here. Kyle
Fletcher's promo on Dynamite Wednesday made me believe there was
a real shot he could win the AW World title
on Saturday. Now, I still don't think it happens. Tony
Kahn seems to light longer title reigns. I think you'd
(55:37):
be cutting Hangman Page's legs out from under him. But
they're definitely all in with Kyle Fletcher, and they did
a phenomenal job of making me believe that he could
actually win.
Speaker 2 (55:53):
You should get some socks.
Speaker 1 (55:55):
Yeah, well, he should definitely get some socks.
Speaker 2 (55:57):
But I mean, yeah, he's a bad man. Though he's
had some five star matches him and Will Osprey has
been exciting and incredible. I think he has world class potential.
He has future superstar written all over him. I love
the future of Kyle Fletcher. I mean, if we were
going to redo the four Pillars T shirt, definitely from
(56:18):
the motherfucker on it. I mean love what Kyle Fletcher
is doing. The Saint the Time, the Saint the Place
we like long title reigns MJF. Kyle Fletcher doesn't give
me the same ring as Kyle Fletcher returning to defend
his TNT title. I don't know if we get Kyle
Fletcher the belt collector. Hangman Page picks up the victory.
Speaker 1 (56:43):
Over under five and a half buck shot lariots in
this match or buck shot lariot attempts in this match.
Speaker 2 (56:53):
Oh fuck attempts over landed, undergoing four landed, going six
to seven attempt did.
Speaker 1 (57:01):
Yeah, probably gonna be a lot there, I am. Look
at look you've said this the last couple of weeks.
This title reign for Hangman Page off to a much
better start than the last one. Again, I don't see
any reason to take the belt off of him here,
but they did a really good job of building intrigue
in this one. DoD callous band from ringside doesn't mean
(57:25):
we won't see him or other Callous family members come out.
I mean, hell, half the roster is a member of
the family, so it wouldn't be that difficult. I expect
this one to be really, really, really good, But in
the end, I can't imagine Hangman not coming out with
the belt.
Speaker 2 (57:43):
I agree with you, and I wanted to backtrack real
quick because something dawned on me when you said this,
and I meant to get to it earlier. My apologies
Ta Cashlon Acona both Callous Family members. At the end
of the night, question.
Speaker 1 (57:56):
Mark, I was about to come back to this one myself.
Don Kallos has got some juggling to do. Not only
has he got Fletcher in the world title match, but
he can't be at ringside. You've got Okata and Takashka
in this match for the Unified Championship, and it's obvious
(58:16):
from the last few weeks that there is some dissension
amongst the two of them. You could afford to drop
a member of the Kallus family. I don't see that happening,
but I don't know that they're both on the same page.
I think we're going to see coming out of this
a Callous Family divided, or more specifically, maybe a Don
(58:37):
Kallus divided, trying to keep the peace, trying to keep
everybody together, but these guys really not having it quite Possibly.
Speaker 2 (58:46):
I wonder if there is a point where one thinks
everything's going okay and could you see a Lance Arn'cher,
a Roqi Romero somehow physically intervene and take out a Takashna,
enabling Ocada to get the victory. Because I almost feel like,
if you're going to separate one of them and make
them maybe go a little more face, it'd be easier
(59:09):
to do it with the younger guy than the older guy.
Speaker 1 (59:14):
I don't know that I want to live in a
world where Rocky Romero takes out either one of Okata
or Takeshka.
Speaker 2 (59:21):
Well, he distracts them with Lance Archer actually does the
physical impending. You know, somebody has to distract somebody.
Speaker 1 (59:26):
All right. I could maybe see that. But yeah, if
you want to trim down the Callus family a little bit,
I'm good with that. But I wouldn't get rid of
Okada or Takeshka. It would be a Rocky Romero or
somebody like that.
Speaker 2 (59:43):
But Rocky Romero is such a lovable Accoutremont. I mean,
I truly appreciated Josh Alexander and Hangman page, and then
it gave me even more just rustling joy looking at
the absurd looks. Don Kallus was giving Brian on commentary
first time last night whatever you add the Brian wherever
(01:00:03):
you want to, because I can't remember where the fucking goes,
but he's staring at him with those absurd looks. And
then hang Man our archers there kicking his feet on
the guard rail, Rocky Romero's running around. The Don Callis
family is a circus that just allows guys to use
their annoying personality traits in a way that I have
found pro wrestlingly aesthetic.
Speaker 1 (01:00:26):
Real quick, before we get out of here, Micah, no
ops on this card, at least not yet. Maybe they
wind up on the pre show again like the last
pay per view, defending the trios titles. But I bring
them up because this past week on Dynamite, we got
that promo from Hook and while it certainly made sense
Daniel Garcia joined the Death Riders, we've kind of been
(01:00:48):
building to that based on that promo, and then you
see the hooded figure come in. Did you think that
was gonna be Hook?
Speaker 2 (01:00:58):
It happens so fast as that I noticed it was Garcia. Yeah,
and I understood where the where the seeds could be planted.
It almost leads me to the question, I understand where
you're getting at. I just didn't get there so quick.
I kind of thought it was Garcia. Does does Hook
find two teammates?
Speaker 1 (01:01:17):
I think, like the moment of Hook's promo, I thought
he was turning. Since you just had Daniel Garcia join
the Death Riders at this point, it probably doesn't make
sense for Hook to turn. So this tells me maybe
it's an uneasy alliance. But Hook ain't turning, and he's
(01:01:37):
gonna accept help from the Ops and vice versa. Even
if they ain't best buddies anymore, They're not gonna be enemies.
I don't I don't. I don't think you're turning Hook
at this point. But yes, after Hooks promo, we're building
through the rest of the show. I'm like, all right,
if it's going to be Hook, you're in Philadelphia. No
place is going to be more receptive of a hooked
(01:02:00):
and right here in Philly. If you're doing it, you
have to do it now. They didn't stray that they
went the Garcia route, and that's fine, but that tells
me Hook's probably not turning.
Speaker 2 (01:02:14):
That's a good point. We're so heal heavy right now. Yeah. Maybe,
like we said, the promo was there to question his intentions,
but like you said, uneasy alliance. I understand, I'm an athlete.
I'm on the bench, but I'm still here on your bench.
Speaker 1 (01:02:30):
That also real quick gets back to Eddie Kingston. Big
Bill and I talked to earlier about how if you're
going to do something with Bill, he probably needs to
win here, like we've talked about, and you brought it
up again earlier, your light on faces on that side
of the locker room, Eddie Kingston, assuming he ain't turning
and joining with his sometimes pal John Moxley, he probably
(01:02:54):
needs to win here just to re solidify him as
a major player on the face side in aw.
Speaker 2 (01:03:00):
You have to put Kingston in that position and then
from there I wonder if he automatically sets his sights
on do you go for Okata and getting back your
championships that you had a vacate or are you opposed
of the death Riders? Because I believe it was Nigel
McGinnis on Collision that did acknowledge Gabe kid is the
(01:03:23):
reason why we haven't seen Eddie Kingston for so long.
So does that automatically give us an ally for Darby
Allen later in the night. Maybe you have Big Bill
Eddie early and it doesn't matter. Maybe Big Bill does
get the victory, Eddie's still done in line for a
big pop if he comes back and he is able
to somehow help out influence save Darby from the death Riders.
Speaker 1 (01:03:45):
Yeah, yeah, I don't hate that at all, and you're
probably right on that. Anything else, Michael, we need to
hit on.
Speaker 2 (01:03:56):
I guess I need a step back and give you
a moment men, and uh, I guess we'll let you
say how proud you are of dom Mysterio.
Speaker 1 (01:04:08):
Oh. I thought you were gonna say, let me bring
up Dan Housen because I haven't done it all show
and we don't want to break the streak.
Speaker 2 (01:04:15):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:04:15):
Yeah, of course I'm proud of Dom Mysterio. I'm also
proud of L Grande Americano. Big wins on raw for.
Speaker 2 (01:04:21):
Him, there's only one what do we call the other
two dudes?
Speaker 1 (01:04:26):
What other two dudes? Uh?
Speaker 2 (01:04:30):
Oh, okay, so Grande Americano. We got Latte Americano, I
don't and uh we got Viente Americano. They are the
Starbucks Americanos.
Speaker 1 (01:04:40):
Stop it, stop it. Tell everybody, Micah how they can
keep up with you.
Speaker 2 (01:04:45):
On X It's at frankl Miicah, definitely gonna be live
on there talking about ae w all Out and depending
on how these two events run into each other. After
that we will jump on some wwe get.
Speaker 1 (01:05:00):
