podcast Pro Wrestling Culture because it's always showtime there from
the Stinger.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
H h.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
Here we are here, we are welcome, Ladies and gentlemen,
a new brand episode of Pro Wrestling Culture. My name
Aldo Fiadora, and here with me ladies and gentlemen from
National Wrestling Alliance Jack Taylors. Hi, Jack, how are we doing?
Speaker 1 (01:28):
Doing well yourself? Man?
Speaker 3 (01:32):
I'm very good and thank you, thank you very much
for being here on Pro Wrestling Culture. So we talked
about that before the start of the interview, and I
saw you for the very first time in a t
and airing with your only match there in twenty twenty
two against the VSK. What is your memory about that?
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Man?
Speaker 2 (01:56):
So that memory for me was really like getting to
see like the first real interaction with like outside of
the w W bubble that I kind of started in,
you know, men, because I started my real wrestling career
at the PC. So you know, you really kind of
you don't get a feel for like what the indies
are and I don't want to call you know, obviously
TNA and indie, but I'm just you know, like outside
(02:16):
the outside bubble of the WWE, and you kind of
get a it was kind of like really getting the
field for that and meeting the beating the guys, met
Tommy Dreamer, met a bunch of a bunch of other
people there, and like I just remember, like just had
the difference of how that was being ran and like
not that it was a bad thing, it was just
you know, like it was it was it was a
(02:38):
different feel to it than what like I was used
to and taking that in for the first.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Time and in the since twenty twenty three, you are
a part of the NWA Ross sir. There you formed
an attack team with Daisy Kiel. But in a single matches,
I remember your match against e C three for the
for the World's Everyweight Championship over You're proud for that
(03:02):
because in my opinion, a match for the word title
in NWA and historical title for wrestling business is very important.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
Yeah, man, So that match was absolutely, like, you know,
it's one of my only single matches I have only
I've only I only had a few single matches in
n w A and you know, so for me to
get that opportunity is always a little bit historic, you know,
especially like as a regular tag team wrestler work when
I worked with Daisy Hill over there, and you know,
because because that's like I'm sure you and your audience know,
(03:32):
like it's it's it's kind of been more of my
focus with over there in all Japan.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
In fact, about tag team, You've wrestled many matches during
the last three years in NWA, in particular dyear in
twenty twenty five, you were a part of the Crocket
Cup TOURNAMENTE another important step for you. Tell me more
about that.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Yeah, man, so we so we were we we just
came out on top early in the tournament over Frank
and Zion. You know, obviously our everything just aired with
the colognes and we came up a little short there.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
Uh, you know, still suffering from.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
The leg injury from there with Zion and everybody, So
we didn't really came up a little short there. But
it's always it's always a privileged and honor to get
compete in such an historic tournament because you know, there's
there's only a few really historic tag team tournaments that
like that's what their focus are. Like obviously you have
the Crockett Cup and n w A which is always
such an historic tournament, but also like the world's Strongest
(04:30):
tag team tournament over there in Japan that they're about
to put on. So it's it's always a privilege to
compete in anything historical in the business that like you,
you know, you grew up watching as a kid and
then now you get to be a part of and
that's always a special thing.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
And you mentioned before the old Japan Pro Wrestling, and
you have an experience there in Japan where you compete
for in particular for the word time team titles with
the what what is for you the main difference between
job and style and American dressing because you were there
(05:07):
for a for a big part.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
Yeah. Man, so I was there this last time for
three months.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
I'll be had it back over there shortly to actually
compete in that tag team tournament I was just talking
about with Renee ab But yeah, man, so again just
another historical wrestling company. We're looking, we're looking at historical belts.
We came up we were competing in Core Current Hall
against Kinto and Huma. Came up a little short in
that one again, but again just the opportunity, especially with
(05:35):
them being the new belts that they just dropped, and
to have that chance and now to hopefully have another
chance moving forward with Renee ab over there, it's really exciting.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
And in this moment in wrestling business, WW have A
they rise on many many companies all over the world.
Triple A in Mexico, DNA progressing, Noah in Japan, in
your opinion, could be d NW A another another company
(06:12):
that that can call with Ward Wrestling Entertainment.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Man.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
So, I think I think that's definitely that would be
beneficial for world for both companies obviously, and I hope
that for w A because they got such an extensive
library and you know, something to draw back on, and
you know.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
They got it.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
They got a really exciting product and it's excited to
see how it's grown over a couple years, a couple
the last couple of years for them.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
And uh so, I think that's a real possibility.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
I think again, I look overseas as far as that
options go, Like you know, New Japan's kind of partnering
more and more with with AW and you kind of
see w W and a W both in Mexico, I
think right now, So I think the next logical stuff
for WWE might you know, if that's something that both
that befits both parties, like look over there and see
like how can they work with with more of an
(07:00):
international audience out that way that way, you know, expanding
both brands.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
Basically.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
Obviously Billy Corgan can be a k person for for
this eventually collaboration between n W and w W. But
my question is what is your relationship with the Billy
Corgan And always important for you to work in a
company that Billy is the president, the chairman.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Man, so to be, to be honest and my time
with them like as it is like Bill is a genius.
Let me just put it like that, Like he's a
rock star for a reason. The man gets it done
for Yeah, all the respect in the world, Billy Corgan.
Absolutely as far as that goes, like you know, it's
it's been exciting and you know again like I've been
(07:52):
I've been away for so long now like so and
so we'll see what the future holds in that regard.
But as far as a personal relationship with Billy, like
it was all really professional. Billy was ever anything but
a professional. That that's our that was our capacity as
a relationship, like you know, we didn't we didn't really
have a personal relationship.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Yeah. Yeah, so you know he's he's the boss. He
or you know, he was a boss. He does what
he does. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
About you in particular, have you ever think about another
step for your career probably in DNA, in a W
or in a w W another improvement for you.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
Yeah, so I kind of played close to the chess.
Like I said, I've I've really enjoyed my time out
in Japan, and I think that's where my main.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Career focus is going to start being more and more. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
I enjoyed the style of wrestling, I enjoyed the people,
and like you know, it's it's an exciting new thing.
It's something I've always wanted to do since I've been
in wrestling, and that's going to be probably where more
my focus lies moving forward. So as far as anything
else goes, like, yeah, I'm always on the lookout obviously.
You know, as wrestlers, we want to make we want
you know, you want to compete on the biggest possible
stage you can, if you know. In my philosophy, I
(09:13):
come from professional sports background. Division one college athlete all
these things. So being wanting to be at the highest
level of what you do kind of comes with the territory,
I guess, And so of course you're always looking for
that next step.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
But in the same breath, like you know, you gotta
kind of know.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
Like where you're where, where the where the where the
winds are blowing kind of thing.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
Your your team with Dizzy Kill give me good vibes
in particular for your action in the in the ring,
and I saw on the internet on Wrestling Web made
your other comments about you, many other positive opinions about
you in particular during this run in nw A. Oh
(09:58):
this experience improved you for you.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
Yeah, man, So it's just getting so again, like it's
it's kind of just getting getting the reps in and uh,
you know, like getting more and more understanding the character
better because like it's not just you know n w
A or TNA or al Japan, like you know, it's
it's still my brand and learning the character better and
how my character wrestles and like what that looks like
(10:23):
and how he interacts with other people.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
Like that's kind of been the focus.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
And you know, n w A has has definitely given
me a platform to do that, and I appreciate them
for that. And uh, you know, now over in Japan
they kind of got that same platform and.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
Then and then you to see you two win the
nw A WARLDS acting titles.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
Obviously I appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
Man, that's probably you know, you know at this point, man,
I think Daisy's gonna go off and probably do his
own thing.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
But we'll see, we'll see what the future holds.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
But like I wouldn't be surprised now, you know, like
he's you know, we you know, we had our run
at the Crockett Cup. We've had a good run, and well,
you know, we'll see, we'll what the future holds. Right
this second, I'm not gonna say either way, but uh,
you know, I think I think you'll see a lot
more of a lot more Daisy doing Daisy, which I
always love to see.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
You know, Daisy's a awesome talent. Man.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Never never say never, man, never say never. But like
you know, Daisy, Daisy's gonna go off and do his
own thing now, and I think I think that's what's
gonna happen for the time being, because like I said,
I'm I'm I'm over, I'm overseas that's probably gonna be
what's starting to happen most of the time. Like so,
we'll see, we'll see what the future holds.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
Though, I have one last question. What is your goal?
What is your main goal for for the near future.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
For the near future.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Man, Like, like I said, I got a big tournament
coming up in Japan, the World's Youngest tag team tournament.
I'm tagging with Rene Abby over there, the only man,
the only man that made me kids. They hit the
pavement the whole time I was in Japan, So I
got a lot of respect for the guy.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
And uh, we're gonna go over there.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
We're have that tag team tournament run and hopefully we're
gonna hopefully we're gonna win that tournament. You know, we're
the two biggest dudes in the band. Man, no one,
no one's stopping. I was playing in simple that's just
the way it iss fingers cross maybe his fingers crossed.
You know, you make it good, make that ship happen.
Pardon my friends, but you know, like so we're gonna
win that tournament and then move on and cast that
(12:21):
tournament and have our shot at the World Tag Team Tournament.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Belts for them. So fantastic, fantastic Jack.
Speaker 3 (12:29):
Thank you, thank you very much, thank you very much
for for your time, for this conversation, and I wish
you the best for this tournament and for for many
more in the future, for your career in n w
A and all over the world. Absolutely, thank you very much.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
Thank you so much. Man. You have a great day,
a nice day. Thank you.
