Welcome, ladies and gentlemen in this new brand episode of
Pro Wrestling Culture podcast. My name Alo fiadone always with
new conversation of this radio show. And here with me,
ladies and gentlemen. A former NWA United States Tack Team
Champion and the winner of twenty twenty five NWA Crocket
Cup with the Immortals. The Viking Audience on I audience

(01:37):
on I be doing.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Good man, good man, fucking great intro.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
Thank you, thank you, and thank you for being here
on a PwC podcast. And I want to start this
interview with your past in attack team that called The End.
You were a part of this tag team with Peril
and you two won many tech team titles in the
indie and after that you showed up in Ring of

(02:06):
Honor in twenty nineteen and also in n w A
and a jp W in the twenty twenty one, so
all was important for you, this team.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
It was it was really big for me.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
We got started in h FIP which was kind of
like the lower branch of Evolved Wrestling, and we became
the Tech Champions there and we kind of.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Ran through everybody there for a while.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
Then we got brought up to Evolve, and Evolve was
super big time and important at the time, Like the
roster was just insane. There, hold on, my two year old,
just fucking baby, hold on the money.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Yeah, hold on, maybe I'm doing something real quick. I'll
be done in a minute.

Speaker 5 (03:04):
Okay, Yeah, this is always beautiful when the kids come

(03:32):
inside the heat.

Speaker 6 (03:34):
Yeah, not the first time, yeah for me. Yeah, don't worry.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Uh yeah, so uh yeah. We were at a VAULF
and it was really awesome at the time. The roster
was super stacked, like we had Walter there, Keith Lee,
Matt Riddle, Zach Saber Junior, you know, just a lot
of guys who are super big time right now.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
And that was the big Evolve because it was before
the acquisition by w.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
W correct yeah exactly.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
And from there, actually in twenty nineteen, we had our
first tour in Altapan Pro Wrestling and it was coming
off our Evolve run and we did the Tag League.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Tour there, which at the time was.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
I think it was twenty matches we did in a
month for the Tag League, so it was like just
every night traveling having a new match. Like it was great.
It was super crazy faced a lot of good Japanese
wrestlers over there, like Akayama, Swama, Suji, Dice Case, Second Mode, Bodyguard, Zeus,

(05:03):
Like just the roster was so deep and it got
really really good experience over there.

Speaker 6 (05:13):
Do you ever think about.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
Another run in Japan after your time in a GPW.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
Yeah, yeah, I'm always thinking of Japan. That's kind of
the highlight of wrestling really, Like it doesn't get any
better than that. Like we're just we're treated like megastars
over there, like just walking down the street and then

(05:42):
you know people are already like staring and going crazy
walking up to you, like oh, it's so big, like
and then you mentioned you're a pro wrestler, and it's like, oh,
just insane.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Like in just the touring and the cities and.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
The whole whole lifestyle over there, like you feel like
a pro wrestler. You know, you go on these tours,
you're on the All Japan bus, you know, making stops
and everything. And me and Peril had our last Yeah,
we did one last last year was.

Speaker 6 (06:19):
Our Oh yeah in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, we did two weeks over there and
we faced the.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Are they current?

Speaker 6 (06:33):
I remember I met you with the Kento Miyahara.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Oh yeah, Kento.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
We had a lot of matches with him, a lot
of multiman matches where we're on the same team as him.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
And then we faced him quite a bit as well.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Like he was the he was the champion when we
first went over there, and he was he was I
think like almost a week away from because I mean,
the longest reigning Triple Crown heavyweight champion of all time.
So he was like top dog for like all the

(07:10):
tours that we did over there. And he's a great wrestler,
great guy, super nice, super funny, Like really he's really
good for wrestling. He's really good to be around, like
he just encourages the whole locker room and.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
Just has a really positive attitude overall.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
And yeah, I wish you would get over here in
America because I know he would do really well. Great
great dude, you know. But yeah, I'm always I'm always
trying to get back over there, Like I have a
ton of fun over there and I know in Japan.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
In Japan, professional wrestling is a culture, not only an
entertainment sports. So I think you're right. In fact, in
the in twenty twenty one, I think during your first
period in a gp W, there were a former an
Italian wrestler, Francis qua Quira. I don't know if you

(08:13):
remember him. He was the the a gp W Junior
Heavyweight Champa during that time.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Yeah, yeah, I remember.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
Yeah, he was a good guy too. Yeah, he was
super cool. Yeah, I remember, I remember. And then h
and who's the other guy from Malta?

Speaker 1 (08:38):
What was his name?

Speaker 6 (08:40):
Yes, from Malta.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
Yes, he is one of my favorite wrestlers here in
Europe because he wrestled many times in in Rome in particular,
and a couple of years in a Brutzo, because I
am near in near Rome here in a Bruto another
range on another part of the and oh my god,

(09:07):
sorry I can check.

Speaker 6 (09:09):
His name right now because I don't remember.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
Yeah, he was there like three out of the four
tours that we did over there, he was there, so
we we got to spend a lot of time with him,
and he was a really cool guy too.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
Bruiser Brody, Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
Yeah, yeah, but yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We had
a lot of good times with him.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
Yeah, he's a very nice person.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Yeah yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
And so his name is Johnny Valletta because the city
of Malta, Valletta the main city of the nation.

Speaker 6 (09:49):
Yeah yeah, cool.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Yeah, he always talked about Malta.

Speaker 6 (09:55):
Yeah, it's nice place.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
I'm I was there two years ago for my birthday
in Valletta.

Speaker 6 (10:06):
Yeah, very cool, very cool.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
Yeah that's good. Hell yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
So in the me in twenty twenty three, you are
a part of another tag team in the nw A
with Kretos this time and it is the Immortals. When
you won the NWA United Star Team Championship last made.

Speaker 6 (10:29):
The Crocket cap. So always important for you is this team?

Speaker 4 (10:35):
Oh yeah, it's it's it's very important.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
I think, you know, like like me and Peril, we.

Speaker 4 (10:42):
Get along really well, or wrestling meshes together really well.
And with both guys, we we never try and one
up the other guy.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
You know, we're trying to steal the spotlight.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
It's always about as a team, you know, like we're
not selfish in that way because I think we have
a lot of respect for tag team wrestling, because tag
team wrestling is it's important, you know, like there's a
whole different psychology about it and the way it's presented

(11:20):
and the matches are worked, like it's different from singles wrestling,
and I think that.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
It's important that people respect tag team wrestling.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
I feel like these days it's not as respected or
important as it used to be. The tag team division
used to be, you know, like main eventing shows for
you know, years, for all the big companies, and now
I feel like it's kind of fall into like you know,
second tier kind of thing.

Speaker 6 (11:50):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
And I just I don't think that's it's it's not
where it could be, and it's not where it should be.
Like I said, the whole psychology and everything is just
totally different, the way the matches are worked and everything,
and we both understand that, and we both try and
highlight each other, and you know, we're not trying to.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Steal the spotlight.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
Like this isn't some like oh man, we got thrown
as a tag team and we just gotta wait it
out until we become singles wrestlers again.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Like that's not our mindset.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
Like we want to make the tag division better and
we want to bring the tag division where it was.
You know, we always talk about being like the Road Warriors,
like you know, Hanson and Brody, like important big name
tag teams, you know, that can draw money and that
put on awesome matches and just kick people's ass, so

(12:51):
like and us doing this in NWA is really important
because there are a lot of teams that you know,
just get thrown together like everywhere, and we're not one
of those teams, you know, Like we want to be
a tag team. We want the Tech division to become bigger,
and we want those we want those heavyweight tag team championships.

Speaker 6 (13:14):
You know, yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
In fact about your words, in my opinion, is a
crime to see a WW show, a WWE premium live
event like they call it right now, without a tag
team championship match. I think about out Motor City machine

(13:37):
Guns out from a paper view. It's a crime because
in this very moment, not only in WW, also in NWA,
in TNA, there are many many great tech teams like
the Immortals, and we need to see these tag teams
inside of paper view, not only in during a week.

Speaker 6 (14:00):
In my opinion, I respect your words.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
Yeah yeah, no exactly exactly, like you know what you know,
as a kid, what's better than seeing two of your
favorite wrestlers fighting each other, four of your favorite guys
fighting each other, you know, like and the whole you know,
the matches are just different.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
It's it's you got to look at everything a different.

Speaker 4 (14:23):
Way, Like you're not worried about just one guy, You're
worried about the other guy.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
And it's just it's an art form that I've really
come to.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
Respect and really enjoy being part of tag teams, you know,
Like I didn't get into wrestling to thinking like, oh
I'm gonna be tag team champions, you know. Now being
in it so long and being consistently part of great
tag teams, I really enjoy it and respect it and
think that it should be highlighted a lot more everywhere.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
And then during the last year, Billy Corgan change the
nw A once again with the return of territory system.

Speaker 6 (15:10):
In your opinion that these.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
New these all the but new metal of entertainment can work,
can help the n w A and the most importantly
tych teams like you like the Immortals to show up
inside over the all of the territories of n w A.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
Right, Yeah, that's that's a big thing I'm trying to
push for now is just having us go across all
the territories and taking on, you know, these independent tech
teams and highlighting tech team wrestling, Like I want to
take it everywhere and just you know, show them what

(15:53):
we can do and show that the tech team wrestling,
you know, is main event.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Tag team wrestling is on.

Speaker 4 (16:02):
That level, and I think the Territories is a great
way to do that.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
You know, send us around, have us.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
Beat the ship out of everybody, and get everybody, you know,
turning their heads like, oh man, these guys are these
guys are serious? You know, these guys are you know,
a throwback to what tag team wrestling used to be
and like what tag team wrestling could be and should be.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
I think the territories are a great idea, and.

Speaker 4 (16:30):
I'm really hoping that, you know, Cradles and I get
the opportunity to just you know, do the rounds through
all these territories, especially now with the Crockett Cup and everything, like,
you know, make that make that shit important, you know,
make it big time, like you know, like we can,

(16:50):
we we can back it up, we can we can
throw down with the best, you know, like we're too
experienced guys, two big guys, too in shape guys. You know,
there's nothing that we can't do. And I think that
if we're put out there to prove it, that we
can and we can back it up. So that's something

(17:12):
I'm really pushing.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
For here in the near future.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
And over the territory system, there is a chance to
see a partnership with other major companies. I think, for
example NXT and TNA in this moment, there is a
chance to see a partnership n WADNA because your team,

(17:40):
the Immortals is a very great tag team in my opinion,
so I prefer the excuse me for my words, I
prefer your character over creators because I think you are
a total package inside not only the tag team, but
you broke the camera, okay in my opinion, and yeah yeah,

(18:03):
and in fact, after this tag team, I think you
you should be a single champion one day in the
n W A roster sincerely, But about tag team in wrestling,
about the Immortals, I think this team can work inside
an NXT roster or a TNA Impact. So what do

(18:27):
you think about that? If there is a chance for
a partnership.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
Oh yeah, I would. I would love that. I would
love to like show these other brands what we can do.

Speaker 4 (18:40):
And I don't think that n w A would have
any problems doing partnerships with either company, you know, us
representing the n w A, I think we would represent
it well. And you know, like I said, we got
the skill to back it up. You know, there's you
know Krados as well, done tours of Japan as well,

(19:03):
and wrestled for New Japan and all Japan, and you know,
like there's nothing we really haven't done except you know,
be highlighted and be put against you know, these top
top teams and everything, and we we can back it up.
And I think n w A getting to have Natalia

(19:26):
night Heart fight for our women's championship was an awesome
opportunity for everybody involved.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
And I think it shows, you know, like we're.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
Open to work with other companies and everything, and I
do hope that continues. And like I would be down
to you know, fight anybody, any company. Like I said,
we just need to get the opportunity and we can.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Back that shuit up. Like I'm.

Speaker 4 (19:58):
Our skills ready to fight, you know, like give us
the opportunity and we'll kill it, like, you know, that's
one thing I'm not I don't I don't doubt our
skills whatsoever, Like we can hang with the best, you know, like.

Speaker 6 (20:17):
Yeah, no, sorry, sorry, sorry, continue.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
Oh I was just gonna say.

Speaker 4 (20:21):
And just watching all the current stuff going on right now,
especially tech team lines, I just think there there is
that team missing, you know, that old school kind of
vibe team where you know, we just go out there
and beat the shit out of people and nobody's gonna
question it. You know, nobody's gonna be like, oh, why
are these guys squashing everybody and everything? People will just

(20:44):
see it and be like, oh yeah, no, yeah, those
guys can do the job, great job, you know, Like
there needs to be teams like that. This whole fifty
to fifty everybody's got to get Like it's just it
makes no sense, like have some killer out there. Have
some people said, you know, we're fucking immortal, like make

(21:04):
us immortal, like.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
You know exactly, like nobody's gonna question it.

Speaker 4 (21:09):
Nobody's gonna call bullshit on cradles like period, like there's.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
Not And about rivalries, I remember one of the recently
rivalry between the models and the Dizzy Keel and Tailors
with your return and a great match on n w
A Power. I don't sorry, I don't know if because

(21:37):
n w A changed many things during the last couple
of years and I saw not not more the pay
per views, but a weekly show during taping the tape
during the pay per views. But with the new television contract,
probably we we we will.

Speaker 6 (21:56):
Have a new and improved n w A. So over that, in.

Speaker 3 (22:05):
Which rivalry do you prefer during your time in n
w A on Power?

Speaker 1 (22:12):
What rivalry do I like? I mean, Daisy killing Talos
are always a good team.

Speaker 4 (22:19):
You know. Talos is fucking tallest, sh very big, just
big dude man, Like his genetics are ridiculous. And you
know everybody always wants to see Daisy get his ass
kids because he's just such a cocky, you know, dickhead.
But the rivalry that I've been enjoying right now is

(22:43):
against the Colognes. Like I think we've had four, i
think four solid matches with them so far, and working
with those guys is just it's it's awesome.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
They're super you know, super great tech team.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
You know, like they know they're you know, where they're
supposed to be at all times, and their their double
team offense is you know, great, and just working with
them is so.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
You feel like you're working professionals.

Speaker 6 (23:25):
You know.

Speaker 4 (23:25):
You never have to question, you never have to worry,
like like are they going to be in the right position?
You know, do they know what the fuck?

Speaker 6 (23:33):
You know?

Speaker 1 (23:34):
They just they know what they're supposed to be doing
over time, like you know, so like.

Speaker 4 (23:40):
You don't there's no doubt when you're facing them. You
just know that they're going to be top par professional
and you know, just deadly when they when they when
they when they need to be, you know, and they're funny,
which is another element you know of wrestling that I

(24:02):
kind of think is lacking. It's like, guys can be
funny and serious at the same time, you know, and
it works great against tag team like Crados tonight, because
we are just dead serious. You know, We're not out
there joking around or anything. But those guys can make
the situation funny and then playing off of us, it's

(24:25):
even funnier, you know, because we're just the total opposite,
Like we're just about business getting the job done, and
they're somehow able to make the situation funny and I
just I've really enjoyed working.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
With them lately. You know. The Crockett facing them was awesome.

Speaker 4 (24:47):
And yeah, they've been a consistent team with NWA right now.
But the team I'm waiting to get our hands on
more is the Champs Man Murdoch Knocks. You know, two
guys who have been you know, with WWE. They've had

(25:08):
a lot of success there and you know, two big dudes,
you know, and we just haven't been in the ring
with that much. And I'm hoping it's because you know,
it's gonna it's because people see the potential and what
that match can be and what we can do with
each other. But the matches that we can have with

(25:31):
those guys, you know, is just gonna be hard hitting
pro wrestling.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
You know what pro wrestling is supposed to be.

Speaker 4 (25:38):
So I'm hoping to get our hands on them soon
and take those belts off them.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
Many so many.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
One last question, and this is about immortals, And in
July twenty fourth, we lost the number one immortal in
wrestling business, the Oxterral Cogan. I don't know if you
meet him in person and if you have experienced a

(26:14):
moment with him, but I want to ask if this
legend inspired you during your career and how.

Speaker 4 (26:25):
I unfortunately never got to meet him, so I never
had a personal moment with him. But I would say,
Hollywood ho Cogan is WCWNWA day or nWo days, the

(26:46):
Hollywood Hogan is probably my top three favorite wrestlers of
all time.

Speaker 6 (26:53):
Like you're sure to call for yourself.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
Right, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (26:58):
Now I had to put a you today about his passing.
I was just out of respect. I had to, you know,
like that was such a huge moment wrestling, and it
was really yeah, he's yeah, I always wanted the bandana.

(27:20):
Yeah that's awesome. Yeah, No, he he super inspired me.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
You know.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
It's just like to get to that level and to
be i mean just the super babyface he was and
he just became bigger than wrestling and then to go
and become the super villain that he was an nWo

(27:46):
and like the n W O was just so cool,
like just you know, the coolest coolest thing ever. Like
nothing's gonna ever come close to that, you know. And
it's super super sad that he's passed and I never
got to meet him, but yeah, super inspiring. You know,
I got my whole hogan ish kind of own version

(28:09):
of my bear going on.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
You know, you know that look.

Speaker 4 (28:14):
I always loved that look, you know, superstar Billy Graham,
Scott Seiner, Hollywood Hogan kind of beer. So I kind
of did my own version, you know, and yeah, you
know it's super sad. And I'm actually good friends with
Cody hall Scott hall Son.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
So just another you know nWo guy. That was just
cool as hell.

Speaker 4 (28:36):
And you know that was the nWo is my thing,
you know, me and my friends on the wrestling team
and Michael and everything for life, Like we had our own.

Speaker 1 (28:47):
NWA faction on our wrestling team.

Speaker 4 (28:51):
We'd be walking down the halls in high school, you know,
other factions you know, like.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
It was.

Speaker 4 (28:58):
It was it was fun so like we were, you know,
we were emulating that in high school, you know.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
And uh I funny.

Speaker 4 (29:05):
Actually one time, the the you know, the officer at
the schools, he actually came to one of our classes
and pulled us out individually to talk to us about
our gang that we had and.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
Because we would have you know, other gang wars with
the other.

Speaker 4 (29:24):
People, and he was like, you so tell us about
nWo and you know, like, bro, it's just it's wrestling,
like we're not.

Speaker 6 (29:34):
It's just wrestling, right, It's not a real gang.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Like we're just having.

Speaker 4 (29:37):
Fun with other dudes in school, you know, because we'd
be righting wo in our arms and stuff or wrestling
matches and everything.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
So it was it was a good time. You know,
they thought it was real.

Speaker 4 (29:50):
Just it was just like you know, just like uh,
people think wrestling is real, like we had them fooled,
you know, back in high school.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
So yeah, no, super like I said, definitely top three,
Like I couldn't boil it down to one.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
