Speaker 1 (00:01):
And we're back.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to a brand new episode of
Welcome to slam Town.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
Hell yeah, we are so back back.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Just in time for WrestleMania.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Babes in my entire life.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Oh my god, it's been a hot minute since we've
recorded an episode. We've had a lot of personal life
stuff going on.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
It's been a crazy a little bit, so.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
I'm not so bad some on the negative side, But
this is the first episode I'm recording in the new
apartment I move into with the love of my life, Kaylee,
So that's really cool. Hell, oh my god, and how
have how have you.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Guys been chilling? Just chilling? It had been enjoying, uh,
watching wrestling and chatting with you guys about it over text,
So I'm even more excited to to chat about it here,
especially because it's.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
So good to hear your voices again. Oh my god,
I know so well.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
Great.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
So I have to come clean about something. Since I've
been moving and everything else that's going on, I haven't
really been watching weekly wrestling. I watched one stow today
in preparation for this episode, and that was NXT.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
That's about it.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
That's about it.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Yeah, there's there's definitely a card.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Yeah, yeah, a card with matches on it.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
With matches on it, yet we can say so.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
I was thinking before we get to the meat and
potatoes of this, which is of course WrestleMania being April
nineteenth and April twentieth, very busy weekend ahead because Sunday
is not only WrestleMania, it's also for twenty It's also Easter,
and it's also Hitler's birthday.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
So that's a lot. You said, you'll be operating all
of those.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
One particular.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Dress said, I don't drive a cyber on what the wick. Yeah. Also,
since it's Easter weekend, which I don't think they realized
when they announced two years ago that this was WrestleMania,
I couldn't get it off from work because it's a

(02:29):
holiday weekend. Oh shit, but my word, my store doesn't
open on Easter. They close so we can spend it
with our families because Easter is what I'm doing that day.
And then I get out at five o'clock on Saturday,
so I have just enough time to drive to my
buddy Kyle's house, change in the car, and make it

(02:50):
in to watch the opening match. Sweet yeah, as we
know since we lived it last year. There's a lot
of other wrestling also going.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
On this week there is.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
It's something we hold near and dear to our hearts
because we got to experience it together. The GCW Collective.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Yeah, straight out of Vegas.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Do you know it kicked off today?

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Oh? Get started an hour ago? Correct?

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Yes? The this year the GCW Collective was a four
night extravaganza.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
Holy shit, that's crazy.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
The first show is the opening round. Well it's not.
I don't think it's the whole first round, but it's
like one of the opening rounds of the WWEE I
D Tournament.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Nice. When that was announced, a lot of people were,
rightfully so pretty excited for you know, you know, like
what does this mean for independent wrestlers like up and comers.
So it'll be exciting to see where where that goes.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
I was reading an article, well amount an article, it
was like a tweet, and Brett Lauderdale, who owns Game
Changer Wrestling GCW, in exchange for doing the WWE ID
tournament at his show, was like, I get to put
one of my guys in the tournament.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Yo. Nice, pretty pick.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
So Atticus Kogar or Krogar. However, you say it is
in the ID tournament, all right, an opening round triple threat.
I don't know who he's fighting, but one of the
non tournament matches that they're advertising for this show. Now, Josh,
I feel like this is a little bit before your time.

(04:32):
But correct me if I'm wrong. Black and Gold NXT
when Bailey was an NXT uh huh do you remember
her super fan? Izzy? Of course I do, okay, perfect
i Isy is wrestling a showcase match at the show
that's happening right now. Wow, she's an independent wrestler now,

(04:55):
she's like nineteen. I remember when I was nineteen and
watching her as a little girl, like freak out about
Bailey at ringside.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
Oh how the time flies?

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Yeah, how the tables have turned. Whether she wins the
ID someday and then fights Bailey, that'd.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Be crazy, that would be crazy, full circle moment.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
But other big shows for the collective this year, We've
got the Blood Sport, as we always do. He's fully loaded.
Yeah from NXT is in it. Tav On Heights from
NXT is in it. Carmen Petrovitch from NXT is in it.

(05:39):
Shanna Basler, Italian Idheart Harry and Cross and Pete Dunn
for the main roster are all competing in it.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Wow, I know that's Cross was in it. That's pretty sick.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
Yeah, he's fighting j R. Krados from n W A
oh yeah, Pete Dunn is fighting Timothy Thatcher. And then
in the freaking main event it's Josh Bartnett versus Gabe
Kid from the Bullet Club.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Damn.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Like, holy shit, it's a big that's a big blood
Sport this year. Other highlights, we've got Joey Janella's spring
Break number nine.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Wow, that's the one that has a match I'm.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Excited for and Matt match would be.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Isn't it Zach Saber Junior versus Jolne Gresham. That's at
blood Sport Okay, Oh, Zack Sabers just finding one called
Manders there. I'm also excited.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
One called Manders versus Zach Saber Junior. One on one
Minoro Suzuki aka the Murder, which is what my dad
told me my children would call him one day if.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
I have children.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
That's weird. We'll be going one on one with the
GCW Ultra Violent Champion Matt Tremont, and then we've got
the GCW tag titles on the line Violences Forever versus
Alec Price and a mystery partner.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Interesting. I love Alex Price, He's always entertaining to watch.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
Oh my god, Yeah, him and Cole Roderick being the
Gobbage Daddies, which Cole Roderick was taken out by Violences Forever.
Hopefully a speedy recovery for that young man. Yes, other
matches at the spring Break the Senior Scramble. It's a
six person scramble match where the only rule to compete

(07:37):
and is in it is you have to be over
the age of fifty five.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
Dude, when you sent us that, I could not stop
laughing like this.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
I don't know if you guys were keeping up with it,
but they announced a last minute lineup change for that match.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
Oh did someone grow up to meet the requirement now?

Speaker 2 (08:01):
No, No, Two of the old guys were wanted to
be drinking Mike's hard lemonade on the beach in South Carolina,
so they could not make the trip anymore, was what
Joey Janella tweeted. So Ricky mooreton the Warlord and I'm
totally drawing a blank action Mike Jackson.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
And oh yes, I remember met Action Jackson.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Whoever the two that aren't in it anymore. They're being
replaced by Ricky Morton's tag team partner from the Rock
and Roll Express and based just Say Say Sace from Mexico.
So I think originally the youngest guy in the match
was fifty six, but now I don't think there's a
single competitor in the matches in their fifties. It's all

(08:48):
like sixty minimum plus Action Mike Jackson is the oldest
competitor in the contest. He's in his seventies.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
That's insane.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
It's gonna be wild. Other highlights from the Collective this year,
they're doing another Clusterfuck Forever, so that'll be the closing show.
Big Gay Brunch happening as always, But what's exciting about
this one is that Fie, the owner of the Big

(09:23):
Gay Brunch, the main character of the Big Gay Brunch.
He's the GCW World Champion. So the main event of
this year's Big Gay Brunch is e Fie versus Dark
Cheek for the GCW World title.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Let's freaking go.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
I don't know if you guys have seen the merch
for this year's Collective when they posted it online. But
this year's big Gay Brunch T shirt makes it look
like you're wearing the GCW title belt around your waist.
It's kind of arrow pointing to it and says the
champ is here and he's fucking queer Game Brunch ten Hell,

(10:11):
Oh my god. The merch honestly cooks for this year.
Because oh we didn't even mention Saboo's last match is
that Joey Janella's spring Break.

Speaker 3 (10:20):
I did not realize Saboo was still wrestling.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Saboo versus Joey Janella in a no rope, barbed wire massacre.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
WHOA.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
If Saboo loses, it will be his last match. If
Sabo wins, according to Sabu himself, he will continue to wrestle.

Speaker 3 (10:39):
Classic.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Pretty crazy that it's a no ropes, barbed wire match.
The Collective is coming to us live from a casino
this year in Vegas. It actually looks like they're in
an arena this year, so that's kind of cool.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
The venue looks really cool.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
I'm excited. I was a little bummed out because I
told my buddies to be here for seven pm Friday
night to watch the spring Break. It's seven pm las
Vegas time, which they live in Connecticut and this side
of the country. What I do, that's ten PM.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
So you might be.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Saying to himself, Sam, I'm looking at the GCW Collective
schedule and it says the Heels have Eyes for the
Culture starts at eleven fifty nine. I know what you're thinking.
That is three in the morning for us in New England.
I've never woken up that early to watch wrestling and
then had to stop because I need to leave for work.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
Damn.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
But I'll be up. I'll be doing it because I
am dedicated to my craft, and my craft is not
competing in wrestling. It is watching wrestling. It's sitting on
the couch with a non alcoholic white cloth. It's a thing.
Look it up. It's not just some Yes, it is anyway.
But I am very good at what I do, and

(12:03):
that is sitting on a futon with a cracked, icy
cold beverage and making comments on something I myself will
never do.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
And we'd love that for you.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
That's why I have this podcast, and that's why I
talk to you, lovely gentlemen about professional wrestling. He but
that's pretty much the highlights for the GCW collective. Josh,
I was just saying to Tim before you hopped on
aew is in the midst of their Owen Heart Memorial
tournament right now, Yes, did you perchance in your perusings

(12:39):
of X and All that see who the wild card
that hangman Adam Page is fighting and the opening round
happens to be.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
Uh? Is it someone that I know?

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Potentially? We've talked about him on the podcast.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
He's a.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Guy guy. Oh is it? Is it Josh Alexander?

Speaker 2 (13:03):
Or yes, yep, the Walking Weapon. Josh Alexander is the
wild card and this year is Owen Hart's Men's bracket.
Hell yeah, so that's really cool. That was happening. As
I was hopping on this and Tim and I were chatting,
my buddy Ray from work sent me an Instagram real
of Josh Alexander's entrance and I was like, oh, fuck,

(13:23):
that's huge. That's exciting. As we saw earlier also on
X Soul, Ruka is the brand new women's speed champion.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
And we are so proud of her. Just wish it
could have been on TV for everyone to watch. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Right, Oh, did I tell you? I saw why the
speed champions don't get acknowledged on regular television.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
Oh shit, why is that it's.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Like a contract? Because X is what airs WWE Speed
the belt can only be shown and utilized on their platform.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
That's great. I mean they show they show it on
Instagram though, right, I think.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
If you see it on Instagram it's like a bootleg
clip or WWE is like allowed to post a highlight,
which they don't.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
Do because you shared this like a post from Triple H.
Let me see.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
Yeah, it's the photo Triple H always takes with a
new champion when they get crowned.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
But soul Ruka can't wear the belt out to her
match at and stand and deliver on Saturday.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
That's so silly.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
Andrade, when he competed in Money in the bank the
last time was Speed Champion, he didn't wear the belt
out for money in the bank. That's why it's not
in two K twenty five that belt. Those two belts
have been around longer than the women's I see and
the women's US belts, but they're in two K twenty five.
The tips are not.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
What sucks because like I feel like definitely in it,
especially in that kind of game. Speed would be very fun.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
Yeah, three minute time on match five for a title
just sounds like the perfect thing for that kind of game.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Also, it would be cool they could do that on
like the Kickoff Show or something for the ples.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
I don't know why we got rid of kickoff matches
because like, yeah, they're always fun. It gives people a
reason to be in the stadium earlier, which means more
like more food, beverage purchases, more merchandise purchases, more like
viewers online. Mm hmm, Like it just would make more

(15:46):
like no one wants to watch the kickoff show. Now,
if you add a match and people will tune in,
you don't really have to tell when it's going to
be on, so then they're kind of forced to watch
the whole from the start.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
Yeah. Plus two, like a big complaint people have as
like a lot of like the pay per view shows
nowadays only have like five matches or show or so,
and it's like, yeah, like you don't want it to
get too bloaded, so why don't you just throw a
match or two on a pre show And then that
kind of just solves the issue, right, like, oh, there's
more wrestling to watch, but also it doesn't like bog down.

(16:23):
Now you don't like lose a spot of like a
match with something.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
But yeah, I just wanted to mention that. Another thing
I think is a travesty is that the MotorCity machine
Guns versus the Street Profits for the tag titles is
going to be on the SmackDown before WrestleMania.

Speaker 3 (16:43):
Interesting, makes no sense.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
It should be on at WrestleMania. Yeah, that makes more
sense to be on the WrestleMania card than New Day
Versus Viking Raiders pretty much. But I will get to
that match later when we down the card. So I
have a little thing i'd like to a fantasy booking,

(17:07):
if you will, I'd like to talk about for that
match when we get to it.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
I'm so down.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
That's here.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
I could just say it now. I'm gonna say it
right now. New Day Versus the Viking Raiders is on
I don't know which night of WrestleMania, but it's one
of the WrestleMania matches. It's for the raw tag team titles.
I know they're on SmackDown, but imagine the Viking Raiders.
They enter first, and you're saying, why are the champions
entering first? What about the respect for the title holder?

(17:39):
New Day enters second their entrance starts. They get about
halfway down the WrestleMania ramp, the lights go out. You
see the fireflies light up, we hear the music. The
Wyat six attacks the New Day during their entrance because
they target people who have betrayed their partners and friends.

(18:02):
New Day turned on Big Eie.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
That's true.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
We Miss and Eric Rowan take out the New Day
and replace them in the tag title match go on
to absolutely squash the Viking Raiders and become the new
World Tag Team Champions.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
Damn all right. I mean I've been reading a lot
of other face of bookings, but now that tops everything else.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
I'm just saying, hire me, hire me.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
W I mean they were hiring. Did you not apply?

Speaker 2 (18:35):
I might have. I might have, Okay, might have sent
a little portfolio their way with a link to this
podcast when I fantasy booked WrestleMania. Oh man, But one
the last thing we really need to talk about before
we get to the main event, which is the WrestleMania

(18:56):
Cards Hall of Fame and stand and deliver Yes Hall
of Fame inductees this year. We were saying it before
you recorded. The only thing we're like excited about is
the fact that a match is getting inducted into the
Hall of Fame.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
Yeah, it's pretty unique.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
And it's Brett Hart versus Stone Cold Steve Austin no
GQ at WrestleMania thirteen y.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
So if they count the participants in the match, if
this is like a new entry into the Hall of
Fame for them, that would make Stone Cold Steve Austin
a two time Hall of Famer and Brett the Hitman
Heart the first ever three times WWEE Hall of Famer.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
Wow. So he got inducted as Brett Hart. He got
inducted with the Heart Foundation, and I was getting inducted
with this with this match. Exciting.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
So this year's Hall of Fame class consists of the
King of Kings, Triple H, Michelle McCool, Lex Luger, The
Natural Disasters, and Brett Hart versus Stone Cold at WrestleMania
thirteen mm. Then I remember seeing something there's like the

(20:12):
Legacy or like honorary Inductees or something. One is Dori
Funk Senior and the other is Kamala.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
Then there was a third one, but that name is
escaping me. Oh yeah, the Hall of Fame class a
little lackluster compared to last year's, which had Muhammad Ali
in Paul Hayman.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
Yeah, Paul Hayman induction was pretty sick.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
We were there for that and that was really cool.
The Hall of Fame is a little lackluster this year,
first time. I have no interest in watching it, and
I watch it every year. It's one of my favorite
parts of Mania weekend. Are think doing an Andre the
Giant Battle Royal on SmackDown? Yes, yes, okay, I hope

(21:02):
Big Bronz Stroman wins it.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
Oh, Karen Cross wins it.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
That would be cool. His match with aj Styles on
Raw this week was very good.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
It was I've been seeing a lot of a lot
of the people happy.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
Harrian Crosses. Ring gear he was wearing for that match
was designed by the same person that makes AJ Styles
ring gear.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
Are we finally going to get a carrying cross push?
I sure hope.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
So, dude, we're on that boat.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
Oh my gosh, she's so good.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
The only thing I don't want is to him to
show up at WrestleMania and help Logan. Paul.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
No, I don't think that's that's quite the opposite.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
That's gonna happen to help the Styles.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
Absolutely. The whole part of this thing is that he's
trying to tell a j that a needs a tough
en up, because if Logan Paul wins, what is carry
across ar wrestler for? He worked his entire life to
get where he is and this YouTube streamer can waltz
in and take everything.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
M hmm, that's cool. Oh yeah, okay, that explains the
tweet I saw, which was carrying Cross is doing a
way better job of promoting Styles versus Paul than Styles
and Paul absolutely.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
Yeah, no, he you should go find on his Twitter
the video after the match and he's it was a
really good promo.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
Oh okay, Yeah. One thing I will say about WrestleMania
also this year, it feels like we're not seeing any
of the competitors like appear on the weekly episodes.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
Yeah, Like we tuned into Raw and I was like,
I hope we get to see see a baby and
he wasn't there. But I'm assuming he'll be on SmackDown.
But that was kind of a bummer. Yeah, in the
UK shows, haven't we Yeah. I feel like the reason
for that was because I think he was in the
UK filming stuff, so it was.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
Like that's what I think as well. It seems like
since trivile H has taken over that they're very afraid
to have their superstars wrestle on TV for this Yeah,
like just because of like injury scares, but like.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
Yeah, Like if I was going to the go home
episode of Raw before WrestleMania and I had to watch,
like I don't even know what was on Raw, Like.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
Let me see, I think pump the match card for you.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
Like if I walked in the Monday Night Raw and
they're hyping up the Styles versus Logan Paul match at WrestleMania,
but I had to watch like Carrion Cross tap out
Akira Tazaw and that was like the big match on
the go home episode, I'd be like what the fuck? Yeah,
Like a lot of the things I was reading about

(24:10):
last night's episode of Monday Night or Monday's Night's episode
of Raw was it didn't feel like the go home
episode it promote what was going to happen after WrestleMania,
then what is going to happen at WrestleMania. Like you're
setting up something big with Carrion Cross. They did a

(24:30):
lot with that on Monday Night Raw. That doesn't do
anything to add to WrestleMania. He's not even gonna be
there as far as we know. And then I was
reading a thing that a lot of people are praising.
Is Julius Creed the taller thinner one.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
Yes, yes, you might.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
Get like a big push as a singles competitor, And
that was another big point that came out of Monday's Raw.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
But it's like, it's I saw a good tweet that
I agree with. It's like the Eyes have good singles matches,
and then everyone's like push him at it as a
single star. It's like that's so insulting to his tag
team partner and to the tag team division as a whole. Right,
It's not it's not that he should get singles matches,
it's that there should be more tag team matches that

(25:17):
mean something, that they can actually go wrestle for twenty
minutes and have good matches like they did the week
previous in a tag team match.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
Yeah, the card for Raw consisted of four matches. It
was Bailey versus Morgan, Mysterious versus Julius Creed. It just
I wasn't caring Cross, which you talked about in the
Baler and Penta. So like a lot of those are
to build up for like WrestleMania, like feuds or matches
or stuff. But again, like these aren't like like like

(25:50):
we're not seeing like Gunther like doing anything.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
Like we're not seeing Dumper wrestle once since.

Speaker 3 (25:58):
It's he wrestled did a squash match and I think
that was it.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
He wrestled Otis and Tazawa.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
Yeah, oh in Axiom when they were in the UK.

Speaker 3 (26:07):
Yeah. Yeah, So again, like they have no problem like
like I'm pretty sure Live has wrestled every single like
Monday Night Raw like probably for like like a month
or so straight. It's like they have no issues with
certain champions doing that. Like it's just whenever it comes
to their top names, they're just so like almost overly

(26:29):
protected of them.

Speaker 2 (26:30):
Yeah, it's just weird. It's very hard to like continue
the momentum and the interest in these paper views and
stuff when none of the build is happening on the
weekly show.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
Yeah. I mean speaking of that, dude, do you guys
just want to get into the card or at least
what we know of it.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
Let's just hit stand and deliver real quick and then
I'm get consistently bummed out every year that I'm working
during Stand and Deliver because I do not have time
to rewatch it.

Speaker 3 (27:00):
Yeah, I'm excited. There's just so much wrestling going on.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
The card is really good.

Speaker 3 (27:06):
Though. I gotta heard did.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
You pull it up?

Speaker 3 (27:09):
I was, yeah, sorry, No, you're good.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
I was like, Kim's got it, He's on it. I
can hear those like pushing up my glasses because I'm hacking.

Speaker 3 (27:18):
I need happening, you know it? All right, So I'm
just gonna go based off of what I see here.
So we have the next championship match. The current champion is.
He's going up against Trick Williams and Javon Evans. It'll
be a triple threat. What are we feeling about that?

Speaker 2 (27:38):
I feel like retaining. Yeah, I don't think Trick is
going to be champ again, and then I don't think
Javon is ready to be champ.

Speaker 3 (27:48):
Mm hmmm.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
They could be tricks like go home appearance, he'll go.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
Yeah. I think I think I agree with everything you
say there. It's a I think Trick would do do
well with a bump up to the main roster. I
think OBA still has some good matches in NXC in there,
all right.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
Josh, she's just the match you're most excited for your
Standing Deliver.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
Which one the triple champion triple threat.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
No, okay, my boys got a title match against my
other boy.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
I know exactly who you're talking about. You're talking about.

Speaker 3 (28:32):
The North American Championship.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
Absolutely, and what you said, Oh my god, I can't
believe Hank and Tank are on Standing Deliver.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
That's crazy Hank Walker and Tank Ledger. Yes, that's for
the that's for the tag belts.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
Like they ran on Tuesday was really good. I thought,
mm hmm. The ending was a little weird. It looked
like the pin got broken up, but they it counted.

Speaker 3 (29:06):
Solid.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Did you guys watch it?

Speaker 3 (29:08):
I did not.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
Unfortunately, I don't have any way to watch NXT.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
I don't have cable. So what I do is it's
on the CW. There's like a free app you can
download on your smart team or your phone, and then
like an hour or two after airs, it goes out
and there as a replay. I just watched the replay.
It was a gauntlet match to determine the number one

(29:34):
contenders for Standing Deliver. Hank and Tank won the whole thing.
They beat the culling no quarter catch crew, calling no
quarter catch crew, and like another team, and then the
finals was them and Josh Briggs and that guy from

(29:57):
like DDT Pro or whatever or Pro Wrestling Noah that
he's been teaming with.

Speaker 1 (30:01):
Yeah, I like them. They're fun.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
They were doing the final pin and the Japanese guy
like came off the top rope like hit a leg
drop on Hank while he was pinning Josh Briggs, but
they like finished counting the pin before he connected for
the leg drop, which looked like it was about to
break it up. So I was like, that's a little odd,
but it's a really good gauntlet, So I'm excited Hank

(30:29):
and Tank are gonna be on the pay per view.
If they don't beat Praxium, it's they're just the forever champs.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
Yeah, why wouldn't they be unless you're saying you're finally
ready for Phraxium to get called up. But like, the
tag teams don't raw and smack down, don't get treated
as good as the tag teams at n XT.

Speaker 3 (30:58):
They do it away. It's almost better to be the
Tag division n XC.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
Just wait till they introduced the Speed Tag Division.

Speaker 3 (31:09):
And then my gosh, how many how many hot tags
would there be in a three minute match?

Speaker 1 (31:18):
Or it's just a tornado tag and there everyone's legal.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
Oh yeah, better way to do it.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
I bet I brought it up, but I hate it.

Speaker 3 (31:31):
All right?

Speaker 2 (31:32):
Title manach? Oh?

Speaker 3 (31:34):
What was that him?

Speaker 1 (31:35):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (31:35):
I was just gonna say. I think the match Josh
is really excited for is Ricky Saints versus Ethan Page.

Speaker 3 (31:41):
Yeah? Yeah, baby, it's current NXC North American Champion against
Ethan Page and both of these guys are former a
W Is that correct? Yes? Yes, exciting stuff.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
Oh, Josh, I've been waiting to hear you say it.
The Tony fumbled chant. Yeah, that's what they were chanting
after Ethan Page won the match to get me a
shot at standon Deliver, I.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Mean Tony fumbled, but like Diddy though, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (32:19):
I'm this match could be match of the pay per view.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
I hope it is.

Speaker 3 (32:25):
I had a different match that I think will be great.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
Is it for the other North American title?

Speaker 3 (32:30):
It's for the Women's championship, the next Women's championship.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
Oh, the fetal four way four way?

Speaker 3 (32:36):
We got current champions Stephanie Veker going up against Jordan
Grace and Julia and Jada Parker.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
I am so excited for Jordan Grace. She is. Yes,
it's like the untattooed not goth yet version of Rio Ripley.
Here for it.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
She is buff uh a Sabrina Carpenter, pick me up.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
That's it. That's all I want.

Speaker 1 (33:06):
So I'm not complaining, But like, what was the point
of Julia losing if she was gonna be back this fast?

Speaker 3 (33:16):
Yeah, it almost seems to like she was going to
be gone longer. Yeah, she was like.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
Injured allegedly was why she dropped the belt so fast.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
That's what they said.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
It's either a fast recovery or that is not the reason.

Speaker 2 (33:29):
That was not the case.

Speaker 3 (33:32):
I have no idea.

Speaker 2 (33:34):
This match is going to be really good, and I
would love to see Jordan Grace win the NXT Women's title.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
I would too, I mean I would. I would hate
to see Stephanie lose, but I mean with a four
way she doesn't necessarily.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
Very short title reigns.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
All I know is Jada Parker's getting pinned, not who wins.
Jenda Parker's getting pinned.

Speaker 3 (33:57):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (34:01):
She gay new as like the manager for a tag team.
Where have they.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
Been non existent? Evolve Maybe I don't know.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
I don't watch it.

Speaker 3 (34:17):
We've got a ladder match for the vacant of women's
North American Championship. I believe Stephanie've curve vacated this because
she was holding two belts. So I think this is
a it's gonna be gonna be exciting to see because regardless,
we're gonna get a new champion here. So I don't
recognize all of these people, but I see Silverka is

(34:38):
in there, Zaria is in there. Colonnie Jordan is in there.
This is he Dame, She's from the Callings. Yeah, Lolavice,
the cute Hispanic woman that fought SHANEA Basler in the
no rope match at Battleground. Oh okay, and then thea Hale.

Speaker 1 (35:02):
Finally, finally she wasn't on TV for a year, and
her first match back, she's in a title match.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
Tim, you're the biggest chase, you guy, and you don't know.

Speaker 3 (35:14):
The a Hale? Okay. In my defense, the icon that
I'm looking at has one person like blacked out with
a question mark, so I had to scroll through to
see the text.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
Oh yeah, she qualified. Last night on NX tape.

Speaker 3 (35:30):
Okay, so.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
The real quick back to is he dame was? Is
he dame with the D'Angelo family or she was?

Speaker 2 (35:43):
And then she turned on them to join the culling
And that was like when Sean Spears won the North
American title off of Tony DiAngelo.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
Okay, well she turned.

Speaker 3 (35:55):
Spice hasn't put out on her yet.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
Because it very quickly went off of D'Angelo on to Spears,
who held it for like two weeks and now it's
on Rickey Saints.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (36:07):
Well, speaking of the d Angelo family, they have a
match against Dark State.

Speaker 2 (36:12):
Yes, it's mantag, it's fantag.

Speaker 3 (36:15):
I hope we get to see my favorite move from
the d Angelo family where one of them picks up
the other guy and just throws them at him.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
Oh that's great.

Speaker 3 (36:26):
And then the final match is a four way tag
team elimination match where the winner can challenge for the
w W Women's Tag Team Championship. And this is that
says eight people in here. So we got Rox Sanprez
and Cord Jade versus Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson versus

(36:47):
JC Jayne and Vallon Henley versus GG Donlin and Tanam
Paxley and according to this, this will be a pre
show match. Ye, and the deliver as pre show matches.
So why can't the other card? One?

Speaker 2 (37:04):
Is this a pre show match?

Speaker 3 (37:05):
That's what it does according to.

Speaker 2 (37:09):
What time to stand and delivery start like eleven in
the morning.

Speaker 3 (37:12):
It's something crazy. It is one pm Eastern ten am Pacific.
That is nuts ten am start time.

Speaker 2 (37:22):
For that's for us exist one.

Speaker 3 (37:29):
Yeah. I mean when when we went to the Collective
last year, the first show that we saw was that.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
The brunch eleven.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
Okay, so I guess, I guess if they can wrestle
at eleven, what's another hour.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
It's also called the Big Gay Brunch, and typically you
would eat a brunch.

Speaker 3 (37:47):
At eleven in the morning. Yeah, they got me here.

Speaker 2 (37:52):
My parents were like, oh, is it called Big Gay
Brunch because you're gonna get French toast at it? And
I was like, no, it's at eleven in the morning,
the typical brunch.

Speaker 3 (38:01):
The closest they got to serving anything brunch related is
I think maybe you could get an orange juice from
the concession stand. And that was about it.

Speaker 2 (38:08):
The dark thing we went to across the street, just
like everybody else that was at the Yes.

Speaker 3 (38:16):
Yeah, so that's ah, that is Stand and Deliver.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
That's a pretty good card. I think it'll be a
good show. I'm gonna sneak watch it on my phone
on network.

Speaker 3 (38:26):
Have I said? There's so many title defenses.

Speaker 1 (38:29):
I have a question, Uh, who did rock Stand Prez
piss off? Why is Roman card I best performance at
the Roll Rumble, good performance at Elimination Chamber And.

Speaker 3 (38:49):
She's on a preshow match.

Speaker 2 (38:52):
Match for so what if her and Coura Jaane win
and then that's for like official call up?

Speaker 3 (39:00):
Maybe I guess what. I've always thought it for more
as a single star than a like. I don't want
her to get lost in the tag division.

Speaker 2 (39:06):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (39:08):
Hopefully she gets called up. Oh greaty, that'd be nice.

Speaker 2 (39:13):
I really want Tatum and Gigi to win because those
are my girls. Love them.

Speaker 3 (39:20):
Those are yeah goorls my worls. All right, are we
ready for the two WrestleMania match cards?

Speaker 2 (39:29):
Hell yeah, babe?

Speaker 3 (39:30):
All right, I let's see. So I pulled this from first.

Speaker 2 (39:35):
I'm just kidding.

Speaker 3 (39:37):
I pulled this from the site. I don't know if
like obviously some matches they've said this is for the
Saturday show. This is for the Sunday show. I don't
know how I accurate this one is so we can
just kind of look at it as we go through
for Night one. Looks like they top loaded it, so
I'll start from the bottom and go up. If Jade
Cargill versus.

Speaker 2 (39:54):
Naomi Cool, definitely a match.

Speaker 3 (40:00):
I don't know. I think, I think, I'm I think.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
I mean the build for this match has been the
best it had.

Speaker 3 (40:06):
I really liked the like like Naomi and Bianca's you know,
just like talking through and like Bianca just like getting
betrayed and Jade coming in. I thought that was like
really good like performance by all of them. And I
feel like they've they've been they've been building this one
pretty good.

Speaker 2 (40:24):
I gotta Naoi out at the elimination Chamber was fucking awesome.

Speaker 3 (40:29):
That was really cool.

Speaker 2 (40:31):
The only match that has like build and storyline.

Speaker 3 (40:35):
It feels like, yeah, they I think a lot of
people were kind of like, you know, like what are
they doing with Jade? Like everyone kind of knows like
what the story is here, But it seems like they've
been doing a good job at getting people hyped for it.

Speaker 2 (40:51):
I think Naomi is going to carry the whole thing.
But it'll it'll be a good match.

Speaker 3 (40:55):
It will, it will. We've got another I also will
mention every time that we see a match that doesn't
have any sort of stipulation, just make note of that. Okay,
So that's just a straight match, no stipulation. We have
another match, another singles match, no stipulations. This is Ray
Mysteria versus El Grande Americano.

Speaker 2 (41:17):
That's my coffee order, that's what's starbucks.

Speaker 3 (41:21):
I am, no joke, pretty excited.

Speaker 4 (41:24):
For this, Okay, I have an idea, what's your I
think the only reason that this match is at WrestleMania
is that Grande Americano is going to get unmasked, and
it's not going to.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
Be either of the Creeds or Chad Gable under that mask.

Speaker 1 (41:42):
But like, but like Elkrandi Americano has the same exact
tattoo in the same exact spot as Chad Gable, Right,
I think.

Speaker 2 (41:54):
That's gonna be the big swerve. Is it some kind
of crazy return or debut or something, or they're going
to do like Bella twin magic and cycle through all
three of them as Grande American.

Speaker 3 (42:07):
That would be kind of that'd be kind of wild
because they don't have the same builds and like it's
it's pretty clearly like Chad under there. But what still
throws me is that they had like this promo or
like this backstage segment a while back where they were
interviewing Chad Gable and l Grande Americana was stuck in
the back. Well that was before it was El Grande.

(42:28):
It was just the mass Luca just like stuck in
the back or walking through the back. So like, how
are they going to explain that? I don't know. I
think that's why I'm excited because I'm like, my brain
is telling you, like.

Speaker 1 (42:38):
You're actually actually now that you mentioned I forgot Like
they showed a guy with the same exact build as
Chad Gable getting.

Speaker 3 (42:45):
Arrested, right and he and Chad was like, see it's
not me. So that's why I like, I think I'm
excited for this because like it's obviously Chad, but like
there's got to be more to this than that. Yeah,
that'll be a good one. You know what.

Speaker 2 (43:03):
R Stereo is the oldest competitor at WrestleMania this year.

Speaker 3 (43:07):
Dude, I don't know how the how he does it.
It's been doing for three decades.

Speaker 1 (43:11):
Now does that surprise anybody?

Speaker 3 (43:14):
He's the goat, he's l ray, he's free, he's great.

Speaker 2 (43:19):
The youngest wrestler on the WrestleMania.

Speaker 3 (43:21):
Card, is is it? Tiffany Stratton?

Speaker 2 (43:25):
Yes, she's twenty five.

Speaker 3 (43:27):
Wow, she does not remember nine to eleven?

Speaker 2 (43:31):
Oh how could you forget?

Speaker 1 (43:33):
I don't remember nine to eleven.

Speaker 3 (43:38):
God, the youth, the youths, the youth. All right? Next up?

Speaker 1 (43:47):
Was that what alive for?

Speaker 3 (43:49):
No?

Speaker 1 (43:49):
I was not even alive. Let's say, I don't want.

Speaker 2 (43:56):
To ask the a year where you were born? But
yes I do.

Speaker 1 (44:00):
I was.

Speaker 2 (44:00):
I was.

Speaker 1 (44:01):
I was born a month after nine to eleven.

Speaker 2 (44:03):
Oh okay, you said like two thousand and three. I
think that would have just left.

Speaker 3 (44:14):
All right, it's the next match here. It is for
the United States Championship. Uh we got l A. Knight
versus Jacob for two. Again, no stipulations here? Do you
like how I said for two?

Speaker 1 (44:28):
I felt like it needed to be more of a
multi man match than the Inner Continental title did. Yes,
like nothing against Jacob for two, but like it would
have been cool to see this man flipping off some
ladders and some ship.

Speaker 3 (44:47):
It would have Yeah, just give us a stipulation please.

Speaker 2 (44:54):
Tim has noted that all of the stipulation matches on
the cards so far, and we're watching the it's none. Yeah. Uh.
I don't think Jacob Fatu is gonna. I would like
to see Jacob Fatu win, but it would be disappointing
because that means two incredibly lackluster US title runs for

(45:14):
l a night, and then if Fatu loses, I think
that totally derails him as a singles competitor.

Speaker 3 (45:24):
But if it is a disqualification, we have an interference
from someone and they're able to continue.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
So I'm glad you said interference. I don't want Fatu
to get attacked by Solo, Sokaa and Tomatonga.

Speaker 3 (45:41):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (45:42):
I want him to get attacked by someone who's been
under contract with WWE for a while now, and Missus
has been showing Now I am about to say, hickeleu el,
this is Hickeleu's showing up to replace Spot two as
Solo's like bodyguard or whatever.

Speaker 3 (46:06):
I see that. I can see that, which would.

Speaker 2 (46:08):
Then give us another iteration of the bloodline and more
like bloodline civil war stuff they could work with. Remember
seeing a meme when they first heard that Hickeolau got
signed U that he was going to debut under the
name Talatanga because he's Tangaloa's brother. Real quick, total sidebar.

(46:38):
Did you hear who might have signed to WWE? Yeah,
from the United Empire. Holy shit. While we're talking New
Japan real quick. Tetsuya, Nito and Bushi are both leaving
New Japan. In many.

Speaker 3 (46:58):
Damn.

Speaker 1 (46:59):
I didn't hear the second name, but the first name
I heard, and everyone was like, oh my gosh, you
go to Wu. And then someone was like, guys, he's blind,
he can't see. I was like, yeah, that makes sense right,
Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (47:14):
Yeah, Nito and Bushi are both leaving New Japan. They're
both members of the l I J Black people are
saying they might be aw bound.

Speaker 1 (47:26):
Possible.

Speaker 3 (47:27):
Possible.

Speaker 2 (47:27):
Ah, Hicolayu showing up to attack Jacob Pachu would be
really cool. Jacob Pachi does win the US title, his
first challenger is going to be Solo Sokawa.

Speaker 3 (47:39):
Yeah, I can see that. I love you all right. Next,
we had talked about this one earlier. It is for
the World Tag Team Championships. The war Raiders will be
defending against the New Day and there are no stipulations.

Speaker 2 (48:01):
This should be machine guns versus the street profits.

Speaker 1 (48:05):
Why not both?

Speaker 3 (48:07):
Why you can have both matches. I gotta say I
liked last year how they did it where they put
both tag belts on the line in a ladder match
and it was just whoever gets to which everyone wins
it like splitting.

Speaker 1 (48:23):
It was a nice reset for the table.

Speaker 3 (48:25):
Absolutely remember the draft up to like you.

Speaker 1 (48:28):
Just like like they definitely mishandled it, but like you,
they really could have just like give her the new titles,
waited it out with the titles to the draft and
then split people up and then started storylines from there.

Speaker 3 (48:43):
So's to have stuff like start at wrestlminging, I guess
because you'll have a lot of people like watching, so
it's always.

Speaker 1 (48:50):
Jumping off point exactly.

Speaker 3 (48:52):
Yeah, see, I agree with you. I do remember the
ladders being kind of wonkey for this last year you had.

Speaker 2 (48:59):
One legs ampton then priests still tried to climb it.

Speaker 1 (49:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (49:04):
Oh, speaking of I made a joke to my the
night manager at work. I was like, oh, man, busy
weekend and he was like, yeah Eastern. I was like, no,
WrestleMania and then he was like, oh, you're a fan
and I was like, yes, are you? And then I
stayed ten minutes late at work talking about WrestleMania and
Ring of Honor with my manager.

Speaker 3 (49:23):
Oh yeah, shout out to Chris, shout out, shout.

Speaker 1 (49:28):
Out my barber Dough. Sorry young person, stim oh man.

Speaker 2 (49:38):
But yeah, war Raiders versus New Day. I don't think
this could be the kickoff show match it should. Back
in the day, was the tag titles were on the
pre show. Oh like the year Rider Zach Ryder and
Kurt Hawkins won the tag titles on the kickoff.

Speaker 1 (49:55):
That was a good year.

Speaker 2 (49:57):
That was the same year Michael Chang Colin Jost were
in The Guy.

Speaker 1 (50:01):
Right, It's so funny, Hey.

Speaker 2 (50:04):
Real quick, did you know this is the first time
since twenty eighteen the two Rumble winners are not main eventing.

Speaker 3 (50:11):
That's right, yep. And according to this card, they're both
on the Saturday show. Oh that's yeah.

Speaker 2 (50:20):
Choice.

Speaker 3 (50:20):
I don't know if this is accurate or not. I'm
just saying, yeah, we have a Tiffany Stratton defending against
Charlotte Flair the stipulation here, and then we also have
Guntar defending against jay Uso also no stipulation.

Speaker 2 (50:36):
I think WWE really fumbled it with the Royal Rumble
winners this year.

Speaker 3 (50:41):
Yeah, I feel like it's hard because they I don't know,
like they they could have gone in a lot of
different directions with the men's like winner, Like obviously if
they wanted to do Sina, they could have had seen
a win. It would have been awesome for Punk to win,
to get his like WrestleMania like main event spot. But

(51:05):
I don't know, it just feels weird having whoever they win,
I have to go up against Gunther because they know
what they're doing with Cody. I don't know, it just
seems kind of kind of kind of kind of hard,
like I can't imagine how it'd say, would have done
it better.

Speaker 2 (51:21):
I don't think jay Usa is gonna win the title
at WrestleMania.

Speaker 3 (51:26):
Yeah, he definitely has like the like when you watch
Raw and he they spend ten minutes doing his entrance,
like he's clearly like over with the fans.

Speaker 1 (51:35):
But I mean just like it's like how La Knight
was for a while before he won the title. Yeah,
sometimes you just got to keep the guy over without
the title, because once he gets a title, then everyone
kind of.

Speaker 3 (51:50):
What kind of moves on? Yeah, yeah, it's like.

Speaker 1 (51:53):
Okay, if he's done, like, let's find our a new
thing to have fun with.

Speaker 3 (51:56):
That's a good point.

Speaker 2 (51:57):
Nothing to be excited about once they win the title.
There's no more like, oh he almost got it.

Speaker 1 (52:03):
Yeah, like his entrance will still be fun and whatever,
but like after, like, what story are you gonna tell?
Who's he gotta fight?

Speaker 2 (52:13):
The first challenge you're gonna be if he wins his brother? Yeah, exactly,
And that was the worst match of last year's meaning.

Speaker 3 (52:21):
Well you don't like super kicks and spears for an
hour straight?

Speaker 2 (52:26):
No, but good name for a podcast or a bar.

Speaker 3 (52:28):
Oh that's that's a really good point, I will say
for the Women's Championship. As disappointing as it is, like, uh,
to have like Charlotte Flair walking from a you know,
like being off for months just to win, this has
got like this feud has gotten pretty messy and I

(52:51):
ain't here for it. Like they've been going at each
other like with personal digs, Like it seems very messy
and I'm kind of I'm kind of interested in it now.
I don't know if that's on purpose or not.

Speaker 1 (53:05):
Charlotte like can't hang. And it's hilarious because she was trying,
like the whole promo where they like went off on
each other, she was trying to raz Tiffany because like
that's what the veterans do, you kick on the young.
And Tiffany's just so much better than Charlotte, like ever
has been or ever will be.

Speaker 2 (53:24):
So Charlotte Flair is much closer to tying her father's
divorce record than he is his title reign record.

Speaker 3 (53:33):
That is so funny.

Speaker 1 (53:38):
I know, he's like one of the like, oh yeah,
I know. Flair is like the you know, one of
the staples of wrestling, but like, god, I wish I'd
just get rid of her.

Speaker 3 (53:52):
Yep, everyd be like a manager or something, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (54:00):
Yeah, and she takes over for Adam Pearce or something.
That would be fine. So first, when Nick all this
announces that he's Randy Orton's WrestleMania opponent, that'd be fun.
Randy needs his match and he does all this, so.

Speaker 1 (54:22):
I can.

Speaker 3 (54:24):
That's another one we can. We can say it was
supposed to be Randy versus Kevin Owens, but Unfortunately, it
came out that Kevin Owens needed either neck or back surgery,
and it's like a at least from what I've been
seeing people say, it's like a year plus of healing
from the surgery for for Kevin. Yeah, so very very

(54:46):
unfortunate because that dude, you know, is put in the
work and he's he's great to watch, and you know,
you never you never like to see that. Yeah. So
they seem adamant that Randy is going to have a match,
but I mean, we'll have to see if anything comes

(55:06):
through on SmackDown. It's for who it's going to be,
or it could just be, you know, similar to Seth
and Cody when Cody came back. We just find out
at the WrestleMania, which would be kind of cool.

Speaker 2 (55:21):
That would be cool if they did it like that.
That would lead me to think it's one of these
alleged big returns like Alistair Black or Russev.

Speaker 3 (55:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (55:30):
Yeah, but it would be so cool for like indie
people and non WWE wrestling people to see Nick All
this finally wrestling.

Speaker 3 (55:39):
WW It would be so for those keeping track. That
is now seven well six with one potential match, but
seven matches with no stipulations, and we finally get to
one that is anything other than just like a straight match,
and it is a triple threat match, which is barely
a stipulation, but we'll count it. But this is this

(56:00):
is supposed to be the main event for a night one.
This is Seth versus Roman versus Punk, not for anything,
you know, just because.

Speaker 2 (56:07):
They're on paper, the only match that sounds and feels
like a WrestleMania match.

Speaker 3 (56:16):
Yeah, and you know you kind of want that with
it being the main event, Like you got like you're
pretty much like your three biggest like three of your
biggest guys here.

Speaker 2 (56:25):
Okay, there's maybe two matches that feel like actual Mania matches,
and this is one of them.

Speaker 1 (56:30):
Yeah, there's three matches.

Speaker 2 (56:32):
Come on, what's the third because Americano Okay, the middle
four way is up there, and then the other one
I was gonna say is CNN Kobe Yeah, okay, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (56:44):
I mean with a name like Sina, it kind of
comes with it. Yeah, this triple Thread. They've been building
towards it for probably about a month or so, I'd
say they they've they've definitely had a lot of segments
coming up to it, a lot of uh, you know,
hatting turns with you know, seampunk finding out that it's
going to be that one main.

Speaker 2 (57:04):
Event war Games favor was really cool.

Speaker 3 (57:09):
Yeah, that all comes into place.

Speaker 2 (57:11):
Well, correct me if I'm wrong, But is Hayman accompanying
Punk to the ring? Was that part of it too?

Speaker 3 (57:17):
That that is the favorite? Kay? It being a main
event was not the favor. I think that, you know,
I think logic would presume that was just you know Roman,
It's like it's gonna be an event because I'm Roman
ragn sort of deal. But yeah, Al Hayman accompanying Sam
Punk being in this corner, that was the favor.

Speaker 2 (57:39):
It's eleven. This is the eleventh WrestleMania main event for
Roman reigns.

Speaker 3 (57:43):
That's impressive, the.

Speaker 2 (57:45):
Third for Seth Rollins and the first Punk hm hm.

Speaker 3 (57:55):
I feel like calling it. Calling it the eleventh is
kind of interesting because you got to consider, you know,
like last year he made a vented twice because he
had two nights. Great, but it is a it is
a pretty cool stat Yeah, so that's everything for night one.

Speaker 2 (58:14):
Theoretically, it's weird that both Royal Rumble Victor matches are
on Night one.

Speaker 3 (58:20):
If that's correct, it is weird. Yeah, again, just kind
of seems like they kind of wrote themselves into a
corner sort of deal.

Speaker 1 (58:29):
But hey, hit me with that night too.

Speaker 3 (58:31):
I'll hit you with the night too. And believe it
or not, we're going to start with a match that
has no stipulation, if you can believe it.

Speaker 1 (58:38):
Match that shouldn't be, a match that shouldn't be. Yeah,
I think that that what's being defended to be on
the card. But the match itself is not good.

Speaker 3 (58:53):
It's the styles versus Paul.

Speaker 1 (58:56):
Oh sorry, I'm the first match that sent for me
is something different?

Speaker 3 (59:02):
But oh, okay, was it the Damian Priests first Dream
McIntire match?

Speaker 1 (59:07):
It's a tag match?

Speaker 3 (59:08):
Oh shit? Okay? Is it the Women's Tag Championship match?

Speaker 1 (59:12):
The Women's Tag Championship?

Speaker 3 (59:14):
There we go, Yeah, it's it's I liked how they
had the gauntlet on. Was that SmackDown last week? Yeah,
I'll like you how to have the gauntlet because gauntlets
always fun. But it seems weird to have like you
have Lyra holding the Women's Intercontinental Championship and she's not

(59:37):
defending it and said she's challenging for the belts, like
he's about to say. Yeah, like her and Bailey, I'm
sure are gonna you know, they they work well together,
like how they've been building that. But it's just weird
that Lira has the belt, like it would almost be
better she didn't have it. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (59:57):
Yeah, it feels like she should have just lost to Dakota.

Speaker 3 (01:00:01):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:00:03):
Neither of the brand new women's titles are being defended
at WrestleMania. Only one of the champions as of now,
is appearing on the card, and it's it's not in
a title match.

Speaker 3 (01:00:15):
Yeah, it's very unfortunate.

Speaker 2 (01:00:21):
But I would like to see two belt Lyra.

Speaker 3 (01:00:25):
Two Lira would be interesting. It would be a choice,
all right. So we got that one again. So no
stipulation there. It just sounds for Slogan Paul. We talked
about this one a bit. No stipulation. Just uh, I

(01:00:45):
just I just want.

Speaker 1 (01:00:46):
To I don't see why, Like there's no reason to put.

Speaker 3 (01:00:50):
Over Logan pol Yeah, not at all. Yeah, but the.

Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
People that want to root for him will root for him.
He's gonna get heat no matter what you do, So
he should just lose.

Speaker 2 (01:01:02):
Okay, what if? Who am I to assume Logan Paul
is the heel in this match, AJ Styles his face. Yeah,
Logan Paul wins the match. Hear me out, Logan Paul
wins the match. AJ Styles snaps aligns with Carrying Cross
and the two of them take out Logan Paul.

Speaker 3 (01:01:22):
Oh do they form like a little uh.

Speaker 2 (01:01:24):
That's why that just this gets a push for Cross.
It gets him more to any time because he's paired
with Styles.

Speaker 3 (01:01:34):
Be fine, be cool.

Speaker 2 (01:01:37):
It'd be like when Aj Styles was Bullet Club and
he wore the all black gear and he had the
hoodie on.

Speaker 4 (01:01:42):
And yeah, oh my god, got a half said Jesus Christ.

Speaker 3 (01:01:51):
All right, next up, we have.

Speaker 2 (01:01:53):
One more thing. Sorry, Logan Paul's like freaking move he
hit on Styles the clip I keep seeing that that
was actually kind of cool. The pulverizer or whatever.

Speaker 3 (01:02:05):
Yeah, he like lifts him up and flips in half
and then do just like a I don't know what
the movie is, but like like the slam is is.

Speaker 2 (01:02:15):
Cooly ship.

Speaker 3 (01:02:16):
It was pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (01:02:18):
Can I interrupt really quick?

Speaker 3 (01:02:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:02:20):
So we were talking about standing the deliver being so early,
like local time in Las Vegas. The call time for
talent to prepare is five a m. In Las Vegas
deliver standing. Yeah, the talent has to be at the

(01:02:40):
area at five am.

Speaker 3 (01:02:43):
And you gotta think, like, I'm sure some of them
would like to attend the Hall of Fame that's happening
the night before, right you would think so like that's
that sucks.

Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
It will be at WWE World or maybe they'll be
in the end dre the Giant. Who knows?

Speaker 3 (01:03:03):
Oh that's rough.

Speaker 2 (01:03:05):
Hey remember the may Young Battle Royal or whatever it
was and the trophy looked like a vagina?

Speaker 3 (01:03:10):
That was the Classic?

Speaker 2 (01:03:12):
Yeah, no, the Battle Royal at WrestleMania. Naomi won it.
I swear it's real. It's a very fam trophy.

Speaker 1 (01:03:21):
Are you sure?

Speaker 3 (01:03:22):
I got still Google? Sure?

Speaker 1 (01:03:25):
Maybe am I? I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:03:27):
The Mayon Classic is what I was thinking of. No,
that was the tournament, gotcha.

Speaker 2 (01:03:32):
It's like a V shape, dude, I remember it looking
just like a vagina.

Speaker 3 (01:03:42):
All right, We'll have you do some some research while
we uh located. Let's see, so we got priests first. McIntyre.
The site that I'm on says that this is a
Sin City street fight, So I'm guessing that just means
like a you know, street fight. No no like weapons,

(01:04:03):
no disqualification, whatever you want. I'm a fan of those types. Uh.
That is our first like fun stipulation.

Speaker 5 (01:04:11):
I'll have to say, I feel like they could have
a cool gimmick weapon, not like cool gimmick weapon like
giant prop hand Johnny Knoxville use Sammy Zaye cool, but
like maybe instead of a bag of thumb tacks, it's
like really sharp poker chips.

Speaker 3 (01:04:28):
Yeah, or like they take out like a deck of
cards and they just start like flicking them really fast
at the guy and he gets like paper cuts.

Speaker 2 (01:04:35):
Oh my god, that's barbaric, you know what. I'm like,
the only one of us that likes deathmatch, And I'm like, no,
you paper.

Speaker 3 (01:04:43):
Cuts, paper cuts your home, new breed, different breed. Yeah,
so that'll be that'll be fun. I feel like, you know,
these are two big, big dudes that hit big punches
and slapping meat. You said, you said the words my
bring could not fathomer compute.

Speaker 2 (01:05:03):
I'm veg not thinking about me. I think this will
be fun. It's gonna be brutal. Maybe we'll get some blood.

Speaker 3 (01:05:13):
Maybe perhaps per chance. Yeah, next up, we got a
fatal four way. That's a fun stipulation. This is for
the ic Championship, Intercontinental Championship. We got bron Breaker defending
against Dirty Down, Thin Dollar and Penta. Penta shown up.

(01:05:39):
Big happened into his first WrestleMania. He's only been with
the company for like two or three months at this point.

Speaker 2 (01:05:46):
He appeared on the second episode of Netflix Raw Right
Yeah episode since basically.

Speaker 3 (01:05:55):
Yeah, So this will be exciting. I think it'll be
interesting to see if there are any riffs forming between
Dirty Dom and Finn balor maybe a face turned for
one of them. Maybe someone gets kicked out of Judgment Day.
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
People I've been talking to about WrestleMania seem to think
Domsterio is winning this match.

Speaker 1 (01:06:19):
I think is winning this match because.

Speaker 2 (01:06:23):
When they first announced it, I swear they put Dom
in this to take the pitfall.

Speaker 3 (01:06:31):
Well, I think regardless, we can expect to see an
insane spear from Braun at some point during the match,
because that dude on Carlito, Dude, that is such I
can't get I thought him spearing speed was like, Okay,
it can't get any more insane than this.

Speaker 2 (01:06:49):
Then Born.

Speaker 3 (01:06:52):
Flies like fifteen feet in the air, perfect horizontal.

Speaker 2 (01:06:57):
He is allergy medication because this boy is airborne.

Speaker 3 (01:07:04):
I'm pretty excited for this one.

Speaker 2 (01:07:05):
I'll have to say, I think this could be match
of the weekend in terms of w w E.

Speaker 1 (01:07:10):
But I think absolutely this will be a match at
the weekend.

Speaker 3 (01:07:18):
Good sleeper people are I don't think people are as
hyped for this as they should.

Speaker 1 (01:07:22):
Be, agreed as they should be, as they should be.

Speaker 2 (01:07:29):
Broad Breaker wears a body, Rick Steiner singlet.

Speaker 3 (01:07:35):
That'd be sick. All right, we got two more. We
have the.

Speaker 2 (01:07:42):
Entrance to his uncle.

Speaker 3 (01:07:48):
Yeah what Sorry my audio cut out there for a second.
All I heard was uncle, No.

Speaker 2 (01:07:55):
We're good. Yeah, I didn't hear what match you said?
You were like, really?

Speaker 3 (01:07:59):
Pixel Sorry. We got the Women's World Championship and this
is a triple threat. We got Eo Sky going up
against Rhea Ripley and Bianca bell Air. I am pretty
this one.

Speaker 2 (01:08:17):
It's gonna be good.

Speaker 1 (01:08:18):
Yeah, very good.

Speaker 3 (01:08:21):
This is another one where I feel like they've been
giving it time to kind of play out and build
the story and it doesn't feel rush, but it also
doesn't feel like we've been here for ages. So yeah,
I think it'll be a good one. I'm excited to
see all three of them because I think all three
of them put on put on good matches. Mm hmm. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:08:42):
If the fatal four way for the Icy title is
not match of the show, I think this could be
match of the show.

Speaker 3 (01:08:49):
Oh yeah, these are all super talented people.

Speaker 2 (01:08:53):
I would like to see Eo Sky retain because you
lost last year at Menia. That's the title, right, isn't
this the one? Yeah? No, No, the one Tiffany currently
has is the one.

Speaker 3 (01:09:08):
Okay, yeah, Bailey Bailey one at WrestleMania last year.

Speaker 1 (01:09:15):
Yeah, this is a different title, and I think Yo
should win. She hasn't had it.

Speaker 2 (01:09:21):
For that week.

Speaker 1 (01:09:25):
I feel like it'll be more interesting to see see
her hold it longer and fight different people.

Speaker 3 (01:09:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:09:32):
A coworker of mine, her daughter is just getting into wrestling,
and she was like, Sam, my daughter's real conflicted. She's
a big Bianca fan. She's a big Ria fan. And
I was like, what, no love for Leo? Yeah? And
then I was like, it's gonna be a triple threat
at WrestleMania, Marissa, and she was like, how can you tell? It?

(01:09:53):
Was like, Bianca Bella is a special guest referee for
Riha versus Eo Sky for the title. It's gonna end
in like a dumble cown now or something, And yeah,
I'm pretty sure that's what happened.

Speaker 3 (01:10:04):
It was when you're season like Sam Housen, you just
realize these things.

Speaker 1 (01:10:10):
Pretty much.

Speaker 3 (01:10:12):
Oh man.

Speaker 2 (01:10:13):
It's like as soon as he said she was referee,
I was like, it's a double DQ or to count out.
Some shenanigans are gonna happen. That causes it to be
a triple.

Speaker 3 (01:10:20):
Coming from a mile away. Kay. That brings us to
the final for now, the final match of the card,
Cody Roads defending against John Cena.

Speaker 2 (01:10:34):
John Cena needs to win.

Speaker 3 (01:10:37):
This is I feel like we said this last year,
but I don't know, like I could see like both,
you know, like both possibilities happening, Like, I don't know
what it's going to be. I would love it if
John one, but I could see him losing as well.
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:10:57):
I'm gonna make the same argument I made last year
because I remember distinctly saying to you guys, if Cody
Rhodes does not beat Roman Reigns to win the title,
who could do it? If Johnsena does not beat Cody
Rhoads and become a seventeen time world champion, who is

(01:11:19):
going to be the one to take the belt off
of Cody Rhads. There's no one bigger than John Cena.
There's no one bigger than a heel John Cena that
is currently wrestling.

Speaker 3 (01:11:28):
That's a good point. A lot of people like who
don't watch wrestling weekly, Like we're talking about John Cena
turning hills, like there are a lot of eyes on him,
like he is a big draw still, especially like as
a hill, and I feel like there's a lot of
stories to be told there.

Speaker 2 (01:11:44):
I've packed sporadically to my roommates from when I lived
in Orlando. They haven't kept in touch consistently, but I'll
still chat with them here and there. Two of them
reach out to me when Sena turned heel and we're like,
oh my god, we hate him. Friendships from five plus
years ago are reforming because of this job.

Speaker 5 (01:12:06):
Johnson even needs to win it because I need to
keep talking to my friends.

Speaker 3 (01:12:14):
Oh man, So I will say to your point, like
if John Cena can't beat Cody, who can I do
think that you got to remember like Seena's coming in
as like a part timer, like he does not have
a very good win record over the past five years
or so. But then also like Cody hasn't really been
defending like in the past few months. We were talking

(01:12:36):
about that earlier, Like I feel like we need to to,
Like I feel like there are names that could get
built up to have, like, you know, some good matches
against Cody. It's just that we haven't seen like Cody
like defending in a while. And I just don't want
Cody to turn into like a Roman again where they
just keep the belt on him, just because like, oh, look,
long title reign. Like I'd be fine with him dropping.

Speaker 2 (01:12:59):
Like yeah, he could drop it to Sina, maybe win
it back or not like instantly, but like in a
year or two win it back again. Who knows. I
think putting about on Sena at Mania is the move.

Speaker 3 (01:13:14):
I think it would be pretty insane, but I would
love to see it happen, because if.

Speaker 2 (01:13:21):
Sina loses, what does he do?

Speaker 1 (01:13:24):
Well?

Speaker 2 (01:13:24):
He did say he wanted to do a money in
the bank as part of his last year, did he not.

Speaker 3 (01:13:29):
I think you're right.

Speaker 2 (01:13:32):
I think he said he wanted to do them all.
He wanted to do the Royal Rumble, he wanted to
do Elimination Chamber, he wanted to be at WrestleMania. So
if he does not win at WrestleMania, maybe he wins
Money in the Bank cashes in.

Speaker 1 (01:13:46):
On Cody.

Speaker 3 (01:13:50):
Possibly. That kind of sucks though, because Money in the
Bank was sort of always meant to like build up
like the next big star in a way.

Speaker 2 (01:13:57):
It's worked successfully with Tiffany. Yeah, but the men's Money
in the Bank winner this year was Drew McIntyre. He
wasted literally Money in the Bank contract holder for an
hour and a half. Yeah, they were just a T
shirt that said Drew McIntyre mister Money in the Bank.

(01:14:19):
That shirt was accurate for about forty seven minutes.

Speaker 3 (01:14:22):
Yeah. Yeah, that's the that's the card. Okay, So lots
of matches, not a lot of situations, but that's what
we got for now. That's what we're rolling.

Speaker 2 (01:14:36):
With real quick. Before we end the episode of the
matches announced, what do you think is going to be
like the match of the show And what one do
you think is like the sleeper pick for Match of
the show. I think we already kind of established some
of them, but let's just say it before we leave.

(01:14:57):
So it's like, we know what we're from forward to Kim,
why don't you start us off.

Speaker 3 (01:15:02):
So I guess with Night one, I think a sleeper
hit is Jade versus Naomi.

Speaker 2 (01:15:07):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:15:08):
I think I could see that one having a lot
of emotion just from like the story that they've been
telling with it, and I feel like, regardless of the outcome,
it might not be the end of the story between them,
So that's exciting. So I feel like that could be
a good sleeper hit match of the night. Honestly, looking
at it, I might just have to go with the
triple threat seth Rollin's Roman Reigns of Punk.

Speaker 2 (01:15:32):
Okay, Josh, your night one on paper guaranteed hit, and
then your sleep hit.

Speaker 1 (01:15:39):
My guaranteed hit is war Raiders New Day.

Speaker 2 (01:15:43):
Hell yeah, hell yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:15:45):
My sleeper is l A Knight and Jacob for two.

Speaker 3 (01:15:49):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (01:15:49):
Okay, I think my guaranteed on paper hit is going
to be the triple threat. I have some new numbers.

Speaker 3 (01:16:02):
What you got for your sleeper hit?

Speaker 2 (01:16:05):
I want to go l A Knight and I'll say
the same as Josh.

Speaker 3 (01:16:09):
Nice. Yeah, there you go, because.

Speaker 2 (01:16:12):
I want to see to do that stupid little dance
all the way down.

Speaker 3 (01:16:16):
I love a little shimmy, a little shimmy, little simmy
shimmy flex if you will. For night, I think that
the Sleeper Hit, I gotta go with the four Way.
I think bron Dom pent to fin you got some.

Speaker 2 (01:16:41):
Bears bomb.

Speaker 3 (01:16:45):
Yeah, so I'll go. I'll go Sleeper Hit for the
four Way for the Icy Belt, and then I think
on paper, the one that is looking the best is
probably the Women's Championship Triple Thread.

Speaker 2 (01:16:57):
Hell yeah, hell yeah, yeah, it's.

Speaker 1 (01:17:02):
Gonna be different. I say the sleeper is Priest McIntyre
and the match of the night is the Four Way.

Speaker 3 (01:17:11):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (01:17:13):
I think matching the night for me is gonna be
the Women's Triple Threat, the Sleeper Hit, It's gonna be
that Women's tag title match.

Speaker 1 (01:17:23):
Yeah yeah, all right, So I want to bring this up.
Before we finished, I just kind of was putting something
together in my head, you know, going crazy. Okay, We've
got this Fatal four Way pre show match on NFT
to determine a number one contender for the women's tag

(01:17:46):
titles m that is on Saturday. Right now, it's showing
that the Women's tag match at Mania is Night two
on Sunday. What if the winner of the Fatal four
weaight gets thrown in the match on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (01:18:05):
Instead of doing it on nxty exactly. That'd be pretty good.

Speaker 3 (01:18:12):
Or they show up.

Speaker 2 (01:18:13):
After the match ends and they're like, hey, we want
it now, and then yeah, them right there.

Speaker 1 (01:18:20):
Or it's like liv and Raquel go and watch the
tag match on Saturday and interfere, or we get like
a double count out, like imagine if Lash and Jakara,
like they get a pin as the same time as
Rock Sanne and Corey getting a pin and then we

(01:18:42):
turn the tag team match for the women's titles into
a fatal four way tag team match. That'd be good.

Speaker 3 (01:18:50):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:18:51):
One thing I will say, based off what you're saying,
if they do the title match on NXT like they've
been saying they are, it makes me feel like Lyra
and Bailey are gonna win so they can get a
big NXT like homecoming.

Speaker 1 (01:19:07):
It just feel that way because it'd be kind of
awkward for Living Raquel to go back there.

Speaker 2 (01:19:12):
They were also NXT people, but like Bailey and Lyra
were former women's camps down there, you.

Speaker 1 (01:19:18):
Know, Yeah, so it was Raquel.

Speaker 2 (01:19:21):
Oh that's true. Maybe. Yeah, I think this tag title
match could be way better than we're giving it credit.
It just is still sucky that the women's Icy champion
is just competing in the tag bac m H.

Speaker 1 (01:19:35):
And one more thing last thought, all right, sorry, Night
one has seven matches, Night two has six matches. What
do we think is going to take that seventh match
time slot? On? Okay? I would I would agree. The

(01:19:59):
only other thing I could see happening is maybe like
a Chelsea Green segment.

Speaker 3 (01:20:03):
Chelsea Green segment, but.

Speaker 2 (01:20:06):
Yeah, she comes out to address a state of the
Union and then it's like an open challenge thing and
then boom, Mariah May debuts wins the US title. Off
I saw those rumors or no, oh right, Nikki Bella
is supposed to get a program.

Speaker 1 (01:20:24):
Wait did you say that's a thing for Mariama.

Speaker 2 (01:20:27):
I knew there were rumors she was coming to WWE.
I was just kind of being an a hole when
I said, boom, he debuts at Mania. But if that's
a rumor, hell.

Speaker 1 (01:20:37):
Yeah, not debuting at Mania?

Speaker 2 (01:20:38):
Like but oh yeah, then no, I didn't know she
was potentially coming to ww A talking about that with
producer Rick earlier.

Speaker 3 (01:20:49):
It would be pretty cool fun.

Speaker 2 (01:20:51):
I do like Mariah May, but hey, that's WrestleMania.

Speaker 3 (01:20:57):
Boys, hell freaking yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:21:00):
So it's a.

Speaker 2 (01:21:03):
Little lackluster this year for me as well because I'm
not there in the city with you guys. But we'll
get to do it again someday. I look forward to
knowing that this wasn't the only time we're going to
do that, so it'll be fun.

Speaker 3 (01:21:22):
We'll be always make sure. Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:21:26):
But with that, folks, thank you for listening. We're glad
to be back. Hopefully we'll see you again soon. Thank
you for listening. As always. Enjoy WrestleMania, Enjoy, Enjoy whatever
the hell you're watching this week.

Speaker 1 (01:21:41):
Enjoy wrestling.

Speaker 2 (01:21:42):
Just go out and enjoy wrestling. And Jake resident young
