En otros episodios hemos hablado de las cuentas IRA, pero quiero que tengas claro que la cuenta IRA Tradicional te dan un crecimiento con impuestos diferidos, quiere decir que crece libre de impuestos hasta que comiences a retirar, que lo permitido es cuando tengas 59 años y medio. Pero quiero que sepas que cuando los retiras es cuando te agregan un impuesto a tu retiro, con la tasa de impuestos sobre la renta que corresponda en ese momento.
La cuenta Roth IRA, son interesantes porque puedes pagar los impuestos ahora para obtener la recompensa de los ingresos federales libre de impuestos mas tarde ( pero puede aplicarse impuestos estatales)
La ventaja que vas a tener con la Roth IRA, es que cuando retiras tus contribuciones vas a llevarte a casa la cantidad completa libre de impuestos federales (siempre y cuando haya pasado por lo menos cinco años después de la primera contribución a la cuenta Roth IRA y seas mayor de 59 años y medio).
Otra ventaja es el poder retirarse en cualquier momento, libres de impuestos (incluido el impuesto de 10% por retiro anticipado), aunque los impuestos (incluido el impuesto de 10% por retiro anticipado) pueden aplicarse a la parte del retiro que representa las ganancias.
