Speaker 1 (00:06):
This is Anna Vandela.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
I'm reading my audiobook Basics, Chapter one. God's Kingdom has laws.
Let's begin with some spiritual laws of the Kingdom of God.
Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah, the God of Abraham,
Isaac and Jacob.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
The God of the.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Bible, who is the creator and the maker of the
heavens and the earth, including mankind, sent his son Jesus.
I'll share a timeless and well known passage John three
sixteen through eighteen. For God so loved the world that
(00:48):
he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in
him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God
did not send the sun into the world today judge
the world, but that the world might be saved through him.
He who believes in him is not judged. He who
does not believe has been judged already because he is
(01:12):
not believed in the name of the only begotten Son
of God. Salvation is first to the Jews, then to
those who were not previously in covenant with God. Much
could be said of these things, but it may be
important to highlight for some why humanity needs salvation. Understanding
(01:35):
spiritual laws of the Kingdom of God is extremely helpful.
Let's begin with resurrection, which features prominently in biblical faith.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
In Jesus, as.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
An eternal being, you are designed to occupy an imperishable,
glorified and spiritual body raised in power.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Notice the spiritual is not first, but.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
The natural then the spiritual, meaning you got your physical
body for the natural realm at birth as a descendant
of the first.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Adam and his wife Eve.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
As humans, our shared biological ancestor is Adam, the first atom,
and it is essential that we also spiritually proceed from
the last atom, Jesus Christ.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
This is not automatic. So I will go into some detail.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Not simply looking at or unto Jesus, but becoming part
of him, in other words, being born again, as referenced
in the Gospel of John chapter three. When Jesus spoke
with Nicodemus Romans eight twenty nine in the Lambs the Bible,
(02:47):
he knew them in advance, and he marked them with
the likeness of the image of his son, that he
might be the first born among many brethren. Please pay
particular attention to the details of the passage below. First
Corinthians fifteen forty two through forty nine. So also is
(03:13):
the resurrection of the debt. It is sown a perishable body.
It is raised an imperishable body. It is sown in
dishonor it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness,
it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body,
it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a
(03:34):
natural body, there is also a spiritual body. So also
it is written, the first man atom became a living soul.
The last atom became a life giving spirit. However, the
spiritual is not first, but the natural, then the spiritual.
The first man is from the earth, earthy. The second
(03:57):
man is from heaven, as is the earthy, So also
are those who are earthy, and as is the heavenly,
so also are those who are heavenly. Just as we
have borne the image of the earthy, we will also
bear the image of the heavenly. Chapter two, Oh, that devil,
(04:18):
what afflicts or torments humanity now originates all the way
back to the first atom.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Does various stages of.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Certain death seem to you to be what is afflicting
every human on earth? Consider God's command and warning to
the first atom Genesis two seventeen Literal Standard version, but
from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
You do not eat from it, for in the day
(04:48):
of your eating from it dying, you die. Let's review
a passage of Genesis chapter three regarding the story of
Adam and Eve at the Tree of the Knowledge of
Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden with the
serpent Genesis three one through seven. Now the serpent was
(05:13):
more cunning than any animal of the field which the
Lord God had made, And he said to the woman,
has God really said you shall not eat from any
tree of the garden. The woman said to the serpent,
from the fruit of the trees of the garden we
may eat. But from the fruit of the tree which
is in the middle of the garden, God has said,
(05:35):
you shall not eat from it or touch it, or
you will die. The serpent said to the woman, you
certainly will not die, for God knows that on the
day you eat from it, your eyes will be opened,
and you will become like God, knowing good and evil.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
When the woman.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
Saw that the tree was good for food, and that
it was a delight to the eyes, and that the
tree was desirable to make one wise, she took some
of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some
to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the
eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew
that they were naked, and they sewed fig leaves together
(06:12):
and made themselves waist coverings.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
The origin of sin is Satan.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Let's clear up some terminology with the following verses, highlighting
multiple titles and names. Another is Lucifer, but perhaps we
can leave that for another time. A quick side note
before you proceed, if I may, please do not consider
people who have served the devil to be experts on
the devil, because they were continually lied to. John seventeen
(06:42):
seventeen says that God's word is truth Revelation twelve nine.
And the great dragon was thrown down the serpent of old,
who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the
whole world. He was thrown down to the earth earth,
and his angels were thrown down with him. John eight
(07:06):
forty four. You are of your father, the devil, and
you want to do the desires of your father.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
He was a murderer from.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
The beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because
there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie,
he speaks from his own nature. For he is a
liar and the father of Liesluke ten eighteen. He said
to them, I watch Satan fall from heaven like lightning.
(07:36):
Ezekiel twenty eight fifteen. You are blameless in your behavior
from the day you are created until sin was discovered
in you. The verse above tells us sin originated in
the serpent of old. Remember, he is also called the
devil in Satan. The verse below states an important law
(07:57):
of the Kingdom of God. Sixteen Do you not know
that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience,
you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either
of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness.
The first Adam did obey sin, eating of the fruit
(08:20):
of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,
which resulted in death, just as God warned him. He
also became the slave of the serpent of old, who
is called the devil in Satan. Genesis three six. When
the woman saw that the tree was good for food,
and that was a delight to the eyes, and that
the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took
(08:43):
from its fruit and eight, and she gave also to
her husband with her, and he ate. How does that
affect all of humanity? Please consider the verse below, which
details another law of the Kingdom of God. Exodus twenty five.
Christians stance and Bible, do not bow in worship to them,
(09:05):
and do not serve them. For I, the Lord your God,
am a jealous God, bringing the consequences of the Father's
iniquity on the children to the third and fourth generations
of those who hate me. The slavery to sin and
the resulting death passed to all with a human father.
(09:26):
When the first Adam became Satan's slave, all God had
entrusted to him now came under Satan's authority.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
Jesus said in John ten ten. The thief comes.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
Only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that
they may have life, and have it abundantly. Does it
now make sense why humanity needs saving?
Speaker 1 (09:53):
Chapter three, Who's the Boss?
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Paul's letter to the Church at Rome contains important doctors.
Let's look at a portion of chapter five. This details
outcomes for both the first Atom, our biological ancestor, and
the second or last Adam Jesus Christ.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
Romans five twelve through seventeen.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
Therefore, just as through one man, sin entered into the
world and death through sin. And so death spread to
all mankind because all sinned. For until the law, sin
was in the world. But sin is not counted against
anyone when there is no law. Nevertheless, death reigned from
(10:39):
Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned,
in the likeness of the violation committed by Adam, who
is a type of him who was to come. But
the gracious gift is not like the offense. For if
by the offense of the One, the many died, much
more did the grace of God and the gift by
(11:01):
the grace of the one man Jesus Christ, overflow to
the many. The gift is not like that which came
through the one who sinned. For on the one hand,
the judgment arose from one offense, resulting in condemnation, But
on the other hand, the gracious gift arose from many offenses,
resulting in justification. For if by the offense of the One,
(11:25):
death reigned through the One, much more will those who
receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of
righteousness reign in life through the One Jesus Christ. So
the dominion God originally entrusted to the first atom, which
he forfeited to Satan, whose work is to steal, kill
and destroy, was one back or became available for humanity
(11:49):
to access again by Jesus Christ the Messiah. Now it's
quite important for people not to imagine they can access
the authority of Jesus. Apart from being under his authority.
Humans can be rather prone to silliness anyway, as evidence
in the Garden of Eden, and especially when it comes
(12:12):
to powerful truths in which they have not trained. Let's
look quickly at an example of spiritual authority featured in
the Bible, illustrated by military and social authority Matthew eight
five through thirteen. And when Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion
(12:33):
came to him, imploring him in saying, Lord, my servant
is lying paralyzed at home, fearfully tormented. Jesus said to him,
I will.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
Come and heal him.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
But the centurion said, Lord, I am not worthy for
you to come under my roof. But just say the word,
and my servant.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
Will be healed.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers
under me. And I say to this one go and
he goes, And to another come and he comes and
to my slave, do this, And he does it now.
When Jesus heard this, he marveled and said to those
who were following, Truly, I say to you, I have
not found such great faith with anyone in Israel. Truly,
(13:17):
I say to you that many will come from the
east and west and recline at the table with Abraham,
Isaac and Jacob in the Kingdom of Heaven. But the
sons of the kingdom will be cast out into the
outer darkness.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
And Jesus said to the centurion, go, it shall be
done for you as you have believed. And the servant
was healed that very moment. Perhaps we can also consider
a type of authority that has been much more accepted
and upheld in Western society. To help make this important point,
(13:55):
consider a patient Joe, who staggers into a local hospital
in need of a life's saving operation. He is admitted,
dressed in the traditional gown and laid on ajourney to
await the surgeon. The doctor comes in, greets Joe and
introduces himself, finally asking if he has any questions, before
he is wheeled into the surgical theater. Joe says he's
(14:18):
very nervous about the surgery because he doesn't know the doctor,
having only just.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
Met him, but he's thought of a solution. Doc, I'm
going to stay awake through this surgery.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
I'll tell you when and where you can cut, what
you can remove and put in when and how much.
Since i don't really know you that well and I'm
feeling very nervous about what you might do, this seems
only fair.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
The doctor is going to refuse to do the surgery.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
In that case, Joe does not know what the doctor
needs to do, but he will tell Joe that any
time before he has died, if he is willing to
come back and let him do the surgery, he will
try to save him. People try to do Jesus life
this all the time. They want to stay in charge
of themselves and of their life, but they want Jesus
(15:07):
to save them.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
That's not how it works.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Jesus is the one who knows how to save the
human soul. Chapter four, Scriptural Salvation. Let's look at the
details of how to be saved specified.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
In Romans ten.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
Romans ten six through eleven amplified classic, but the righteousness
based on faith imputed by God and bringing right relationship
with Him, says, do not say in your heart, who
will ascend into heaven, that is to bring Christ down,
or who will descend into the abyss, that is to
(15:45):
bring Christ up from the dead, as if we could
be saved by our own efforts.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
But what does it say?
Speaker 2 (15:52):
The word God's message in Christ is near you on
your lips and in your heart. That is the word,
the message, the basis and object of faith which we preach.
Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that
Jesus is Lord, and in your heart believe, adhere to,
trust in, and rely on the truth that God raised
(16:14):
Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with
the heart a person believes, adheres to, trusts in, and
relies on Christ, and so is justified, declared righteous, acceptable
to God. And with the mouth he confesses, declares openly,
and speaks out freely his faith and confirms his salvation.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
The scripture says.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
No man who believes in Him, who adheres to, relies on,
and trusts in Him, will ever be put to shame
or be disappointed. There's so much in this passage that
I could write an entire series of books on it.
For time's sake, I will share a small portion of
an overview with a few examples.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
Jeremiah seventeen nine, King j version.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked.
Who can know it? In other words, humans generally haven't
the faintest idea what's actually going on underneath the surface,
and we require God's leadership and guidance to navigate the
unseen realms successfully. I'll share a short passage about that,
(17:22):
and then highlight examples in Romans ten, Hebrews four, twelve,
and thirteen. For the Word of God is living and active,
and sharper than any too edged sword and piercing as
far is the division of soul and spirit of both
joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and
(17:43):
intentions of the heart. And there is no creature hidden
from his sight, but all things are open and laid
bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have
to do. In other words, we need God, including Jesus,
the Word of God, in order to know what is
going on going.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
On inside ourselves.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
If you don't know about Jesus being the Word of God,
please read Chapter one of the Gospel of John to
catch up on that important detail. Back to Romans ten.
Please notice when a person says in their heart, who
will ascend into Heaven? What that actually means is to
bring Christ down. There's so much to discuss in that,
(18:25):
but let's go to the second example for the sake
of time. When a person says in their heart, who
will descend into the abyss, that actually means to bring
Christ up from the dead. If you understand the Gospel
of the Lord Jesus Christ at all, you know these
are shocking assertions of defiance. One example of people truly
(18:48):
saying bring Christ down quote unquote, is speaking as though
his work was not actually finished or complete, in other words,
praying for him to do something his work secured as
a separate act Tewod.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
Corinthians one twenty.
Speaker 2 (19:07):
For as many as are the promises of God in Him,
they are yes. Therefore through Him also is our amen
to the glory of God through us. One example of
someone truly saying, quote unquote, bring Christ up from the
dead is considering him still buried in the Middle East somewhere.
(19:33):
Another example is a person believing his work died with him.
The believing in the heart God raised Jesus from the dead,
which we are commanded to do, is a choice. Faith
is a spiritual force which we must develop. Endurance is
an aspect we must add to it. But the initial
(19:54):
choice to believe is simply a choice. Keep in mind
the confession of Jesus's Lord, which we are commanded to
make second Corinthians four thirteen. But having the same spirit
of faith, according to what is written, I believe, therefore
I spoke. We also believe. Therefore we also speak. We
(20:18):
move to the next step of faith immediately in the
quote unquote word of faith process detailed in Romans ten.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
Perhaps the most important statement I.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
Can share with you in this is the same template
detailed in Romans ten. For salvation is to be used
in every other aspect of the Kingdom of God. Much
could be said of that, But there is an additional
detail I would like to cover. While Jesus was on earth,
he never sinned. Second Corinthians five twenty one. Weymouth New Testament.
(20:54):
He has made him who knew nothing of sin, to
be sin for us, in order that in him we
may become the righteousness of God.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Hebrews four fifteen.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
For we do not have a high priest who cannot
sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted
in all things as we are yet without sin. When
Jesus died on the cross is when he became sin.
Galatians three thirteen says he also became the curse. To
redeem us from the curse.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Of the law.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
I'll leave that for you to look up on your own.
Here is an important piece of doctrine. Since Jesus never sinned,
he could pay for our sin. Since his father was
not human remember the virgin birth or look it up
in scripture. He was not born with an inherently corrupt
human nature. Therefore he could redeem us from that state.
(21:51):
Tewod Corinthians five point seventeen amplified Classic. Therefore, if any
person is engrafted in Christ the Messiah, he is a
new creation, a new creature. Altogether, the old, previous moral
and spiritual condition has passed away. Behold, the fresh and
new has come. I remember Pastor Mark Hankin's pointing out
(22:14):
that for a successful grafting, the wound in the tree
must match the wound in the branch being set against
and tied to it. Such a profound example in nature,
the Lord has arranged for us to illustrate the Gospel
of the Lord Jesus Christ Chapter five reference points a
(22:34):
modern day demonstration of what happened at the Tree of
the Knowledge of good and evil as the first Adam
and his wife Eve ate. Its fruit is when a
person decides for their self what is true, what is false,
what is good, what is evil, what is right.
Speaker 1 (22:50):
And what is wrong.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
Jesus shows us a different life John six thirty eight
Amplified Classic. For I have come down from heaven not
to do my own will and purpose, but to do
the will and purpose of him who sent me Hebrews
ten seven amplified Classic.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
Then I said, behold.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
Here, I am coming to do your willow God, to
fulfill what is written of me in the volume of
the book John five nineteen. Therefore Jesus answered and was
saying to them, truly, truly, I say to you, the
son can do nothing of himself unless it is something
he sees the Father doing.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
For whatever the Father does.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
These things, the son also does in like manner. John
five point thirty. I can do nothing on my own initiative,
as I hear I judge, and my judgment is just
because I do not seek my own will, but the
will of Him who sent me. The path to this
life is detailed in Romans ten nine and ten, that
(23:56):
if you confess with your mouth Jesus's Lord, and believe
in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes,
resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting
in salvation. Earlier I mentioned the necessity of moving from
identification with our biological ancestor the first atom, to spiritual
(24:19):
ancestry through Jesus the last atom.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
John fourteen six.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the
Truth and the life. No one comes to the Father
except through me Acts four twelve. And there is salvation
in no one else, for there is no other name
under heaven that has been given among mankind by which
we must be saved. A few examples of how believers
(24:48):
in Jesus identify with him are shared below. Galatians two
twenty amplified classic. I have been crucified with Christ. In him,
I have shared his crucifixion.
Speaker 1 (25:01):
It is no longer I who live, but.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
Christ, the Messiah, lives in me, and the life I
now live in the body I live by faith in,
by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in
the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself
up for me Colossians two twelve, having been buried with
him in baptism, in which you were also raised with
(25:26):
him through faith in the working of God who raised
him from the dead Ephesians two four through seven. But God,
being rich in mercy because of his great love with
which he loved us, even when we were dead in
our wrongdoing, made us alive together with Christ. By grace.
(25:46):
You have been saved and raised us up with Him
and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in
Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come, He
might show the boundless riches of his grace and kindness
toward us. In Christ Jesus. Here is a prayer you
may use if you would like. To. Dear Lord God,
(26:10):
I believe in my heart you raise Jesus from the
dead by choice of my own free will. I confess
Jesus is Lord, and Jesus is my Lord. I pray
(26:31):
to live the life you have for me according to
his example. Heavenly Father, please fill me with your Holy
Spirit in Jesus's name. Amen, Praise God, Thanks for joining me.
(26:55):
I encourage you, if this has ministered to you, to
listen to it again and receive even more. You can
ask the Holy Spirit to teach you about the Word
of God.
