Okay, ladies and gentlemen, so much everyone who took in.

the most fabulous weekend and full of miracles, full of
(00:40):
God's power and glory, full of just how wonderful the
Lord is, how wonderful his word is. The excitement of
seeing people learn.

How to access the power of God, how to access
the message of the Gospel, the power of the events
of the Gospel.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
So glory. Okay, so get an organized here. Let's start
with prayer. Heavenly Father, I thank you for your word,
Holy Spirit. Please come, please minister to all those who
hear and listen. Please bring us revelation, Lord of yourself,
of your word in Jesus' name. Amen. So I would
(01:20):
I take requests for my channel, for my ex channel,
And I got received a request to do Hannah, And
I'm so glad I'm doing it because it was great
to refresh on the details of her life. So I
am in First Samuel chapter one. This is amplified classic.
There was a certain man of Rama than Zophim, of
(01:41):
the hill country of Ephraim, named Elkanah, son of Jiahol
jiro Ham, the son of Elie who the son of Tohu,
the son of Zoof and Ephramite. He had two wives,
one named Hannah and the other named Pennanayah. Pen Andiah
had children, but Hannah had none. Two wives spells trouble
(02:03):
right there. But maybe he had a situation like Jacob
where he got Penanaya first. Anyway, Verse three, this man
went from his city year by year to worship and
sacrifice to the Lord of Hosts at Shiloh, where Hafni
and Phineas, the two sons of Eli, were the lord's priests.
What a mess. If you don't know anything about what
(02:23):
Hofney and Phineas were up to, you maybe want to
look that up. I won't digress for now. Verse four.
When the day came that Alcana sacrificed, he would give
to Pennanaya his wife and all her sons and daughters. Portions,
but to Hannah, he gave a double portion, for he
loved Hannah, but the Lord had given her no children.
(02:46):
This embarrassed and grieved Hannah, not the double portion but
the no children, and her rival provoked her greatly to
vex her because the Lord had left her childless. So
it was year after year whenever Hannah went up to
the lord's house, penn and I had provoked her. So
she wept and did not eat. Women are women can
(03:07):
be horrible? You guys if you think women can be horrible?
Moving on verse eight, then Elkanah, her husband said to her, Hannah,
why do you cry and why do you not eat?
And why are you grieving? Oh dude, dude, come on,
am I not more to you than ten sons? Well,
she obviously did love them back because verse nine says
(03:29):
that then she rose. Then she was eating and drinking,
so she obviously did respond to that. But whoo, ma'am okay,
So let's see verse eight. Then Elkana, her husband said
to her, Hannah, why do you cry and why do
you not eat? And why are you grieving? Am I
not more to you than ten sons? So Hannah rose
(03:50):
after they had eaten and drunk, eaten and drunk in Shiloh. Okay. Now, Eli,
the priest was sitting on his seat beside a post
of the teen tent of the Lord. So she is
taking initiative to get after to go pursue the Lord,
(04:13):
and kind of making a break from the group after
the eating and drinking to do this. Verse ten, and
Hannah was in distress of soul, praying to the Lord
and weeping bitterly. She vowed, saying, O, Lord of Hosts,
if you will indeed look on the affliction of your
handmaid and earnestly remember and not forget your handmaid, but
(04:35):
will give me a sum I will give him to
the Lord all his life. No razor shall touch his head.
Now that's very interesting. I don't know very much about that.
It'd be very interesting to hear what Israelites, people from
Israel have to share about that, the Jewish people. Okay,
(04:55):
And she continued praying before the Lord. As she continued
praying before the Lord, Eli noticed her mouth. Hannah was
speaking in her heart. Only her lips moved, but her
voice was not heard. So Eli thought she was drunk.
This guy, this spiritual leader, was so carnal he was
such a mess, and his sons were even worse. This
(05:19):
was a messy situation. Eli said to her, how long
will you be intoxicated? Put wine away from you? But
Hannah answered no, my Lord, I am a woman of
a sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink,
but I was pouring out my soul before the Lord.
(05:40):
Regard not your handmaid as a wicked woman. For out
of my great complaint and bitter provocation, I have been
speaking whoa talk about a great attitude. There's a verse
in the Bible about women clothing themselves with a meek
and gentle spirit. Let me see if I can find
(06:02):
it quickly. First Peter, Yeah, okay, first Peter three four.
Let's look at some translations of first Peter three four
A quick moment. This is gonna be a very fast basis,
but it's gonna be worth it. First Peter three four.
(06:24):
I was looking at posts on X, and a lot
is happening that that RFK Junior is hitting it. Okay,
let's look at first Peter three four. You should clothe
yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the
unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is
(06:47):
so precious to God. But let your adorning be in
the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable beauty
of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight
is very pious. But from the inner disposition of your heart,
the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which
(07:07):
is precious in God's sight. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Let's look
at Ooh, this is good too. But let it be
the inner beauty of the hidden person of the heart,
with the imperishable quality and unfading charm of a gentle
and peaceful spirit, one that is calm and self controlled,
(07:29):
not over anxious, but serene and spiritually mature, which is
very precious in the sight of God. I'm gonna go down.
Oh this is good too, But in the hidden person
of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle
and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God very precious.
(07:52):
Who websters, But let it be the hidden man of
the heart, and that which is not corruptible, even the
ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in
the sight of God of great price. I want to
get down to these literal translations let's see. Yeah, okay,
(08:18):
we'll go with Smith's literal today. But the hidden man
of the heart, in the uncorruptedness of a mild and
quiet spirit, which is before God of great price. I
guess it does cost something, right, moment by moment, hour
by hour, day by day, you pay to obtain that
(08:40):
and hold on to it. Okay, moving on. So obviously
this is how she answered, with a lot of respect
for the office that he held, and not taking her
own revenge, not berating him, not accusing him, not returning
back evil for evil, soft answer, turning away his wrath.
(09:03):
All these things are from the Bible. If you're not familiar,
then we shall go to verse seventeen. It worked beautifully, beautifully.
Then Eli said, go in peace, and may the God
of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of him.
(09:25):
God knows what he's doing. He knows what he's doing
when he tells us what he does. Praise God. So
she received her confirmation, her confirming sign, and she had
to fight the good fight faith to get it. She
had to leave the group, go out, pursue the Lord,
seek him, let her request be made. Don't and it's
(09:47):
not like the enemy didn't show up to challenge her
because Eli is the person that was seen in the
physical realm. It's Eli's vocal cords making the sound ways
bouncing off for ear drums. None of them changes the
fact that the true source was the spiritual force of evil,
that is, the father of lies. That was the true source.
(10:09):
Both in Pennania's torment of her and attacks tormenting attacks,
and in Eli's attack against her also intended to torment her.
Hannah's true would be tormentor was Satan or one of
the other spirits in his hierarchy. It's that kingdom, the
(10:31):
kingdom of darkness, and she just would not let go
of her faith because you have to faith works by love.
You have to continue in faith. I believe there's a
verse that says, but you have need of endurance so
that after you have done the will of God, you
(10:52):
may receive what was promised. Let me see if I
can give you a reference on that Hebrews ten thirty six.
For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so
that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God,
and thus receive and carry away and enjoy to the full.
(11:13):
What is promised. Amen, I'm trying to think of a
there's a lot of verses that talk about adding patience
to faith. Let me see if Yeah, maybe I'll do
(11:38):
a quick search and get back to First Samuel quickly. Here. Yeah,
(12:07):
I think James is good. James chapter one is good
on letting patience have its perfect result, that you would
be perfect and entire lacking in nothing. So that's the
reference I'll give on that, and moving back to First
Samuel chapter one. So this is how she responded. Oh,
(12:28):
her faith was so stellar, like she just kept going.
She just would not give up, would not let go
no matter what type of adversity came her way. She
just kept pressing into God and noticed that the Lord
wanted to bless her the whole time with children. If
(12:51):
you don't know about those things with the Old Testament,
I'm not gonna take time for it now. Maybe I'll
do as on it at some point. But the Lord
wanted her to be blessed. It was promised in his word,
that was his will for her body and for her life,
and she wasn't receiving it. And she had to press in,
(13:13):
and she had to keep pressing in and keep pressing
it to apply that pressure of the things of God
against the enemy and his opposition in her life to
her receiving what God had for her. And she kept going.
And here's yet another step of it. Verse eighteen. Hannah said,
(13:35):
let your handmaid find grace in your sight. She's still
honoring his position, still not returning back evil for evil,
still turning away anger with a soft answer, glory to God.
And then here's more of her faith. So she went
(13:55):
her way and ate her countenance. No longer sad the Lord,
she was ready to move on. There's a scripture in
the Bible where Jesus is teaching on prayer, and he
says that all things you ask him prayer, believe that
you have received them. Let me get you. Let me
(14:17):
get the reference. Let me get the reference. Okay, hmmm,
(14:39):
I was missing a word. Give me another moment.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
Okay, let's get down to New Testament.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
Here we go, all right? When you pray. Oh, I
(15:26):
am not looking in the right translation. Okay, I'm sorry
for the dead air guys, but this is going to
be worth it.
Speaker 5 (15:34):
What pray? Gostic? That's true?
Speaker 2 (15:58):
Okay, Marco eleven twenty four. So let's get Mark eleven
twenty four. Here we go for okay, yeah, we need
this in different translations. The translation I was in on
(16:21):
Bible Gateway, it's not the one for this, Mark eleven,
twenty four. Okay, here we go. Therefore, I tell you,
whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received
it and it will be yours. Now this needs to
be believe that you receive it when you pray. All right,
(16:48):
no problem, let's try let's try it some more.
Speaker 5 (16:53):
What pirs?
Speaker 2 (17:10):
Yes, New King James, there it is. Thank you Lord,
appreciate that I did not do my studying. And here
it is. Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you
ask when you pray, believe that you receive them and
you will have them. So that New King James version
(17:35):
is very explicit. The other translations you can see that's
what it's saying. But the New King James it comes
right out and says, when you pray. So this is
what she did. She did this teaching of Jesus where
she believed that she received it when she prayed. If
(17:57):
you don't know about that stuff, find out it. Find
out how the Bible defines faith. Find out about walking
by faith and not by sight. Find out about the Bible,
saying that without faith, it's impossible to please God, because
the one who comes to God must believe that He
is and that He is a rewarder of those who
(18:18):
diligently and earnestly apply themselves to seeking Him. So okay
verse nineteen. The family rose early the next morning, worshiped
before the Lord, and returned to their home in Rama.
El Canah knew Hannah his wife, and the Lord remembered her.
Hannah became pregnant and in due time bore a son
(18:38):
and named him Samuel, meaning heard of God. Because she said,
I've asked him of the Lord. And Elkanah and all
his house went up to offer to the Lord the
yearly sacrifice and pay his vow. But Hannah did not go,
for she said to her husband, I will not go
until the child is weaned, and then I will bring
him that he may appear before the Lord and remain
(18:59):
there as long as he lives. What an intense woman
she is literally planning to give her child to the
Lord by putting him in the care of these like
Eli was a mess and his sons were worse. She
(19:21):
was giving him to the Lord. She was putting him
in the Lord's hands. I'm not gonna take a bunch
of time and get into the mothering instincts and all
that kind of thing that I don't think there's a
need to get into all that that should be fairly,
fairly clear, like fairly well understood. But one of the
(19:45):
things I'm gonna do is I'd like to look. I'd
like to look at this verse in John ten should
be verse twenty nine. Well, let's start with verse twenty seven.
(20:10):
The sheep that are my own here and are listening
to my voice, and I know them, and they follow me,
and I give them eternal life, and they shall never
lose it or perish throughout the ages, and no one
is able to snatch them out of my hand. My father,
who has given them to me, is greater and mightier
than all, and no one is able to snatch them
(20:33):
out of the father's hand. I and the Father are one.
Hannah put her child in the Lord's hand. So therefore,
well we'll see more about it, Okay, So verse twenty three,
alcan our husband said to her, do what seems best
to you. Wait until you have weaned him. Only may
(20:54):
the Lord establish his word. Interesting, so she was giving
Elkanah's son away as well, and he was letting her.
So Hannah remained and nursed her son until she weaned him.
When she had weaned him, she took him with her
(21:17):
with a three year old bull, an e fa of
flour and a skin bottle of wine to pour over
the burnt offering for a sweet odor, and brought Samuel
to the Lord's house in Shiloh. The child was growing. There,
they slew the bill bull and brought the child to Eli.
Hannah said, oh, my Lord, as your soul lives, my Lord,
(21:39):
I am the woman who stood by you here praying
to the Lord for this child. I prayed, and the
Lord has granted my petition made to him. Therefore I've
given him to the Lord. As long as he lives,
he has given to the Lord. And they worshiped the Lord. There.
You imagine Eli certainly wasn't expecting to have a tyke,
(21:59):
a little one to take care of. Surprise, Well, here
we go. Chapter two. Hannah prayed and said, my heart
exults and triumphs in the Lord. My horn, my strength
is lifted up in the Lord. My mouth is no
longer silent, for its open wide over my enemies, because
(22:23):
I rejoice in your salvation. Her mouth is opened wide
over who, this pathetic Pennia, this corrupt spiritual leader. No,
her mouth is opened wide over her spiritual enemy. There
(22:45):
is none holy like the Lord. There is none besides you.
There is no rock like our God. Talk no more
so very proudly, Let not arrogance go forth from your mouth.
For the Lord is a god of knowledge, and by
him actions are weighed. Who was Pennania speaking so proudly
(23:07):
against Hannah. No, the Lord is ultimately who that pride
was leveled against, and Hannah, on the other side of
her battle, recognized more about the spiritual nature of her
adversary and the spiritual nature of the attack. The bows
(23:27):
of the Mighty are broken, and those who stumbled are
girded with strength. Those who were full have hired themselves
out for bread, but those who were hungry have ceased
to hunger. The baron has borne seven, But she who
has many children languishes and is forlorn. Yeah, that sounds
like a appropriate and realistic outcome for the likes of Pennania. Right,
(23:53):
forlorn languishes. Life's not so fun now that her little
pettiness opportunity to be petty was taken away from her.
The reaping, there's a reaping for those seats. When people
are mocking and malicious, there's a harvest that comes to them,
(24:15):
and it's not fun. And all of the supposed superiority
that she was trying to convince Hannah of convincing Hannah
that superiority was based on being a mother. Now she's
(24:36):
stuck with the effects that all her efforts to persuade
Hannah of this has caused in her own soul, and
her relationship with her husband was not her priority. Okay,
(24:56):
moving on. The Lord slaves, it makes a lot. He
brings down to sheol and raises up. The Lord makes
poor and makes rich. He brings low, and he lifts up.
He raises up the poor out of the dust, and
lifts up the needy from the ash heap, to make
them sit with nobles, and inherit the throne of glory.
For the pillars of the earth are the lords, and
(25:17):
he has set the world upon them. He will guard
the feet of his godly ones. But the wicked shall
be silenced and perish in darkness, For by strength shall
no man prevail. No, it's really interesting to me. I'm
seeing more as I'm reading her praise and reading the
(25:38):
outcome of this spiritual battle in her life, that what
she was coming against and what she was overcoming was
the enemy's efforts to suppress a spiritual leader for Israel.
And anyway, I won't get into that too much. Let
(25:58):
me keep going here. The adversaries of the Lord shall
be broken to pieces. Against them, will he thunder in heaven.
The Lord will judge all peoples of the earth to
the ends of the earth, and he will give strength
to his king and exalt the power of his anointed,
his christ. Elkanah and his wife Hannah returned to Rama,
(26:23):
to his house, but the child ministered to the Lord
before Eli the priest, how beautiful the sons of Eli
were base and worthless. They did not know or regard
the Lord. Hmph, that's quite a statement. Base and worthless.
(26:48):
The custom of the priest with the people was this,
when any man offered a sacrifice, the priest's servant came
while the flesh was boiling, with a flesh hook of
three prongs in his hand, and he thrust in into
the pan or kettle or cauldron or pot. Although the
flesh hook brought up, the priest took for himself. So
they did in Shiloh with all the Israelites who came there. Also,
(27:09):
before they burned the fat, the priest servant came and
said to the man who sacrificed, give the priest meet
to roast, or you will not accept boiled meat from you,
but raw. And if the man said to him, let
them burn the fat first, then you may take as
much as you want, the priest servant would say, no,
give it to me now, or I will take it
by force. Oh, so this is what they were doing.
(27:35):
That's right, that's right. This is a detailed description. I'm
so unfamiliar with the Old Testament Jewish practices of the
physical sacrifices of animals before Jesus that but anyway, this
is a description of what they were up to. So
the sin of the two young men was very great
(27:56):
before the Lord, for they despised the offering of the
Lord Amuel minister before the Lord, a child girded with
a linen ephan. Moreover, his mother made him a little
robe and brought it to him from year to year.
When she came up with her husband to offer the
yearly sacrifice. Isn't that beautiful?
Speaker 5 (28:19):
What?
Speaker 2 (28:20):
So every every year when she went to sew this
clothing for him, she had no idea how big or
little he was. And so the Lord literally miraculously caused
her to make and cause what she made to fit,
and it fit for an entire year. This is a
(28:40):
complete miracle. Any mom could tell you the idea of
an outfit lasting for an entire year with a growing child,
that this was a complete miracle. Okay uh Verse twenty
and Eli would black Elkana and his wife and say,
(29:02):
may the Lord give you children by this woman for
the gift she asked for and gave to the Lord.
Then they would go to their own home. So this
was happening, where Eli would repeatedly bless her as they came.
And then came the miracle of other children, and the
(29:23):
Lord visited Hannah so that she bore three sons and
two daughters, and the child Samuel grew before the Lord.
There's plenty more to talk about with regard to Samuel.
He led such an interesting life and bore up under
(29:48):
the circumstances of his upbringing so well with so much
grace the family that he came from the devotion to
the Lord stayed with him and was operating the spiritual
forces of good from his biological family were operating in
(30:09):
his life through his upbringing, and it was really amazing,
amazing what the Lord did with and through this family.
But that's the part about his mom, Hannah, and such
a blessing, such a beautiful lady, such persistent faith, and
(30:31):
such a love walk, and just the way that she
kept making those outfits for him year after year and
bringing them to him and continuing to invest in him
and continuing to affirm his service to the Lord, and
(30:51):
just beautiful, beautiful woman, beautiful faith, and a beautiful outcome.
So thank you for listening. God bless you. I appreciate
you so much. Thanks for coming code name and so
I'll be on again next week and I look forward
to it. Bye.
