Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's get started here. That's open with prayer. Hallelujah.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Heavenly Father, thank you so much for your word. Thank
you for your presence and power. Lord.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
What an awesome God you are, and what a blessed
time Father, that you gave us to live in. Your
word is so grateful.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Lord. Your word is mighty, Your word is alive, Your
word is eternal. Your word is perfect, Lord, and flawless
and has utmost integrity.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Lord, your word is the way, the truth, and the love.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Hallelujah, Thank you Father, hallelujah. Thank you for your holy
living Word. In Jesus' name, Holy Spirit, I invite you
please come minister to us and bring us wisdom and
revelation in the knowledge of God.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
In Jesus' name, Praise God. Well, it's great to have
you guys. Welcome to your facts.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
I have not forgotten, by the way, about doing a
spaces together talking about Solomon. I just am giving space
for you to finish what you're looking at.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
But I'm looking forward to that. I haven't forgotten about it. Okay.
So I was.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Thinking today about what's the number one thing I'm thankful
for and number one thing I'm thankful for is the
finished work of Jesus Christ, his sacrifice, his victory. And
I was thinking about what's the second most thing I'm
thankful for, and that is the revelation, the understanding the
Holy Spirit gives us concerning the Word, how it fits together,

(01:49):
how the laws of the Kingdom of God work. It
is very valuable to me to understand more about the
law and his government. I do not want to be.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Too casual, too hasty, anything like that. I don't want
to be too quick.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Or too obsessed, frankly with the affairs of this.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Life, tangled up in the things.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
That don't have eternal value, don't really matter. And I'm
so grateful for the understanding of from the Lord of
how his word works, how his kingdom functions in order
to prepare for eternity.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
By how we live now in this life. What a blessing.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
So I was thinking about that, and I was thinking
about what I could share in regards to that, and
I remembered some notes that I've had kind of sitting
in a little I don't know, it's not a daytime,
but some people will be old enough to remember daytimers,

(03:01):
and it's kind of like that. And I had prepared
some notes I've tried to When things come to me
that I consider sufficiently valuable to share with you guys,
I try to make an effort to jop them down,
make some kind of notes about them, build them into
something a little bit more substantial, in order to share

(03:25):
at a good time. So hopefully this is a good time.
And let's see here. I think the first scripture i'd
like to read. Ooh, I was going to read it
out of my regular Bible, but I think it'd be
good to read what it is in the Amplified Classic, because.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
This is a really important verse.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
One of the things I like about it, there's this
verse in the Gospels where Jesus is talking to the
woman at the well and he explains to her that
God the Father, desires people who will worship him in
spirit and truth. Well, we know from the Bible that
the Word of God, the vibe, the Holy Bible, the scriptures,
is the truth.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
So that's being a doer of the Word.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
That's a theme throughout that's consistently shown through the Word
as a way to worship God. Clearly, right, Jesus said,
if you love me, you obey me. But I kept
thinking about worshiping the Lord in spirit, spiritual worship. And
I heard people the most common thing to be the

(04:32):
most common thing. People seem to, you know, voice their
thoughts and ideas on what had to do something with
like a spiritual experience, like in worship or something like that.
Make an effort to connect with God while you're singing
that kind of thing. And you know, that's fine. But
I like doctrine. Doctrine's a good thing. So I really

(04:56):
appreciate because this verse says what spiritual worship.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Is, Thank you very much. And so I'll read.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Hmm, yeah, I'll read it in the simpler translation, which
is the American Standard Bible, where it says right there
that this is your spiritual worship, glory to God.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Let's get Romans chapter twelve up here.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Okay, Therefore, I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God,
to present your bodies a living, holy sacrifice acceptable to God,
your spiritual service of worship. This is worshiping the Father

(05:48):
in spirit. Let's read it in another translation. I appeal
to you, therefore, brethren, and beg you in view of
all the mercies of God, in view of, but literally
by the mercies of God, to make a decision decisive
dedication of your bodies, presenting all your members and faculties

(06:11):
as a living sacrifice, holy, devoted, consecrated, well pleasing to God,
which is your reasonable, rational intelligence, service, and spiritual worship.
So there we have it, ladies and gentlemen. Next verse says,
and do not be conformed to this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you

(06:32):
may prove what the will of God is, that which
is good and acceptable and perfect.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
I want to read that in amplified classic.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
This is one of the greatest verses in the Bible.
To me, Romans twelve to two. Do not be conformed
to this world, this age fashioned after adapted to its
external superficial customs, but be transformed, changed by the entire
way renewal of your mind, by its new ideals and

(07:03):
its new attitude. There is actual verse by the way
that talks about being renewed in the spirit of our mind,
having fresh mental and spiritual attitude. Back to the verse,
so that you may prove for yourselves what is the
good and acceptable and perfect will of God, the thing
which is good and acceptable and perfect in His sight.

(07:25):
For you praise God that I love that verse.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
That's so good. Okay, So let's look at some verses.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
I apologize I didn't look up all the references ahead
of time, so we shall get them. Um, this is
so there's some idea. Okay, let's try new King James.

(07:58):
I'll give this one try and then I'm going to
rock it to get the proper reference. Yep, So gonna
rock it. G there you are, little techno tool. What
Bible verse says.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
Ah with Bible verse says.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
Uh luke thirteen three awesome?

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Okay, yeah, okay, So there is kind of a theme
that you're going to notice with these verses.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
This first one is a scenario in which some people
told Jesus about some serious tragic situations. And one of
the outworkings of workspased righteousness is that people have this

(09:09):
idea if bad things happen, it can be traced to
something bad that person did. And it's not that there's
no cause and effect connection. But we really all need
to be leaning into the Gospel of Jesus Christ and
that we're found in him, not having a righteousness of

(09:30):
our own derived from.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
The law that means God's law.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
By the way, that means based on our performance of
God's law. Derive from the law, but that which is
through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God
on the basis of faith. And we all need to
be leaning into the gospel that He made Him who
knew no sin, to be sin for us, that we
might become the righteousness of God in Him. And so

(09:56):
becoming the righteousness of God in Him is just being
a new creation in Christ. If any man be in Christ,
he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold,
all things are become new. Part of that new is
that we are made the righteousness of God in Christ.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
And it's in accessing the.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Bible talks about put off the old man and put
on the new man, which has been created in righteousness
and holiness of the truth. Hallelujah, and we put on
the Lord Jesus Christ.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
These things pertain to our new identity.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
And if we neglect so great a salvation, we neglect
mind renewal, We neglect the disciplines of God, the trait
us and righteousness that yield to us the peaceable fruit
of righteousness when we're trained by them. Then we end
up in these situations where we're not acting out of
who we are in Christ, and we're certainly not demonstrating

(10:53):
the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
And so these cause and effect things.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Are kind of where the differentiation comes for an individual
is literally done on an individual basis, and the one
who knows all there is to know.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
About it is the Lord. The Holy Spirit is the
one who knows.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
And if somebody else receives something from the Holy Spirit
about the details of another individual's life, the result minister's life.
So when you see people with a critical spirit, when
you see people nitpicking others, tearing other people apart, trying
to use the word of God as a weapon to
brandish at others, to stab and poke and slice and

(11:44):
dice at them, this is false.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
This is not of the Holy Spirit.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
That if it's not ministering life, if it's not bringing
that person closer to the Lord, creating opportunity for them
to live and not die, creating opportunity for them to
partake of the finished work of Jesus, then all of
the slicing and the dicing is not of the Lord.
And so most the bulk of what you see with humans.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Where they think They're going to use the Bible to
critique another person.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
It has nothing to do with the Lord, has nothing
to do with the Word of God, has nothing to
do with the Spirit of God. And they're literally just
doing Satan's work for him. So wow, I didn't realize
I was going to talk about all that. Anyway, The
disciples were talking with Jesus about this tragedy that had occurred,

(12:36):
and basically, not excuse me, not the disciples. Some people
who were there told Jesus about these tragedies, and Jesus
picked up on where they were coming from, and he said,
do you suppose that these were worse sinners than all
other from such and such a place because they suffered
such things? He said, I tell you no, but unless

(12:57):
you repent, you will all likewise perish thang.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
Right like break it down, Lord nex verse.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Or those such and such on whom the tower such
and such fell and killed them? Do you think they
were worse sinners than all the other people who dwelt
in such and such a place. I tell you no,
but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
Glory to God, break it down.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
This stuff is so good for us, we human beings
need to understand the way things work. We have these
like bizarre programming indoctrination to the system of this world,
whereby we compare ourselves to others and haven't the faintest
idea what's going on. And we all need to be

(13:42):
measuring our lives against the Word, not for the purposes
of coming under condemnation or self castigation, but rather for
reverence and gratitude at who Jesus is and towards the
Lord and what he has done for us. Us. What
Jesus has done for us is so magnificent, so awesome.

(14:04):
We can be so impressed with him, so impressed with
what he's done, that the grossness of our own righteousness
can be laid aside, and the really weird vileness of
trying to atone for our own sin can be rejected

(14:27):
by us, and we can really.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Put our roots down in the Word.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
And the perceiving increasingly the love of God. The Word
of God says herein is the love of God revealed,
and that while we were yet sinners.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
Christ died for us. Praise God.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
Okay, next verse, Yeah, so I'm not even going to
give any references for this. It's all throughout the Gospels.
When Jesus was preaching, he said, repent for the Kingdom
of God is at hand. So you can look up
some of those references for yourself.
