Allen and RD have Chat Room, a west coast pilsner by Celestial Beerworks out of Texas.

From Untappd:
"Chat Room is a fresh, crisp, punchy West Coast Pilsner! Perfect timing for the outdoorsy games we’ve got going today. This simple Pilsner base was hopped heavily with Citra, Strata and El Dorado Hops. It’s kind of the best of both worlds: the clean crispness of a lager and the aromatic, juicy flavors of an IPA.
This 5.2% beer is delicate yet complex, has clementine and cantaloupe aroma, and finished with a dry with a pleasant hop bitterness."

Speaker 1 (00:00):
What is going on? Everybody? Welcome to strikeout beer some
quick beer reviews tonight.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Just one. This is just one review.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
We're just gonna do one. Well, I mean you'll do one.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Well, we did one, but now this is one. So
like each review is just a review. All right, Well
they're reviewing multiple beers. You're during this one segment with.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Your pals, Allen and Rapidad and Rapiday. Allen, what's going on? Well,
we have a local beer here, Celestial beer Works. They're Dallas, Texas, right,
See drink beer from here. That's what I was looking for, say,
Celestial beer Works.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
A lot of stuff there On the second for your support.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
You gotta Uh this is West Coast pills chat Room,
a fresh pillsner generously hot with citra E Doado and
Strata hops. I don't think I've had a pillsner that.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Had Hey you have? So yeah, you have.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
I love the can. I mean, are we going back
to the eighties of the nineties or what baby?

Speaker 2 (00:51):
I mean aol chat rooms were lit? Uh? Chat Room
is a fresh, crisp, punchy West Coast pilsner, perfect timing
for the outdoorsy games we've got going today.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
This simple Pilsner base was hopped heavily with citrus strata
and Eldorado hops. It's kind of the best of both worlds.
The clean Christmas crispness Christmas not Christmas, but crispness of
a lagger and the aromatic, juicy flavors of an I
p A. This five point two beer is delicate yet complex,

(01:25):
kind of like me. Uh has clementine and candaloperoma and
finished with a dry with a pleasant hop bitterness.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Maybe a hot dog.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
I mean I had a hot dog on the fourth
of July. It was great. Yeah, we went to this place.
I'll talk about it more on the main show, but
it's just went to a fireworks day and they had
like a giant They have all this property behind where
they just let you go and fire off the fireworks
that you bought, and so uh they want you to
just burn through. And they had a food truck at

(02:02):
the entrance and they had hot dogs, and it was like,
what do you want. It's like, I'll take a couple
of dogs, you know, And so I had and they
were wrapped in tin foil, right, and she gave them
both to me and I ate one the other one dog.
A couple hours later, I was like, get that pocket dog.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
It stays warm in there. So one, this looks amazing.
Cheers to you. It smells great and smell of citrus.
Is the citrum hops like almost some heat?

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Oh yeah that smells hot?

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Yeah yeah, cheers looks all right, so gorgeous. Uh, I
would say mostly transparent. You know, a little bit of
fog in there, but paper, a little dehydration.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
You're in colors going there? What given the people things
they can relate to you? Okay, oh buddy, it's pre taste.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
That's a good one.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
It does have an amscore three point eight six out
of five on untapped out of four hundred and seventy
two ratings. This hasn't even been out a month yet.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
This makes me one. This is almost what I like, right,
I want to have what you like. I want to
have a hazy every so often, but I love pilsners
and it's just crying them together. You know a little
bit of I P A hazy n p A and
then a little bit of pills.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
It's got the happiness. Yeah. I like that hoppy smell.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Better than a dry hopped pilsner. So yeah, pucking dogs
I hadn't been out here for I haven't been out
to this location a long time. Ray. That's one of
his staples, and he loves it out there. Oh yeah,
the Ducks. The Ducks love it out there. Yeah, but yeah,
I mean I love their tap room, the patio area
and stuff like that. You can hang outside and you know,

(03:35):
shade and whatnot, and train goes by every so often.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
I've only been out there the one time. That was
one that one time when me and you we met
Ray out there and he showed up to the brewery
with a cooler full of a bunch of beers. Yeah
from not that brewery.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Yeah, but he's gonna spend enough money there, you know,
it's right he gets away with that guy. Did they
have them like paint out there and build stuff or whatever?
I mean, they brew beers and stuff out there. So
but yeah, holy moly, this is really good.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
It's pretty Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
So it jumped off the shelf. I'm pretty if I'm
not mistaken. I got this down the street in Carrollton
at Lone Star Beverage. Okay, so when I get it
from there, I don't really worry about the freshness. I
know we've been having a run of going to like
bigger liquor stores and stuff like that, where inventory is
getting a little old, a little you got to check
the label. And of course some of these beers they
don't have that. There's nothing, there's no market.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Local stuff doesn't typically happen. Yeah, right, some of your
bigger local ones, like I think Martin House labels theirs. Yeah,
but majority of them don't have any sort of labeling.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Yeah, but I mean and takes you back to early
two thousand. So you said you were an AOL guy.
I always fit, you always Yahoo everything. So well, I was,
you know, early on adopter of AOL.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
But then you know, AOL kind of went to the
wayside and then you jumped over to the Yahoo.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
I think I stayed AOL until that was like that
whole thing was over. Like just when AOL died or whatever,
it's like, all right, well, cool, moving on. You got DSL.
You didn't need to log in you know whatever, you
had it plugged any turn on your computer. There was
so but yeah, that damn dial up when there's a
uh oh. There were like a bunch of videos out there,

(05:13):
just like nostalgia for kids back then or whatever, and
it was like, sounds you don't hear anymore, And that
was what I was like, sudden, and I was like,
you got mail? Is that? There's nothing more exciting?

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Like you're sitting there and you're maybe you're playing a
game on AOL, you got a little chat going. All
of a sudden, it just pops up. You got me.
You're like, oh, who's that? It's back when getting email
was exciting.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
Yeah, it wasn't a lot of spam back then.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
No, it was from somebody.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Yeah, it came from somebody or something like that, and uh, yeah,
it wasn't spam. Everything is effing spam. I spend every
time I go to my email box, it's to clear
out a hundred messages of spam.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
I just leave them.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
I don't and I can't do it. I cannot do it.
Well now they fix it, though, I think. I think
I Apple was like, you know what.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
With Yahoo, it's kind of got them sorted and stuff.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
But I mean, well, I'm saying, once you go into
your mail, now you can have a million that you
haven't opened yet. Yeah, well now the number doesn't show
up anymore. You have twenty thousand emails like Lizzie had
the same thing. I was, like, you have twenty thousand
freaking unread emails.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Yeah, I had that, and she's now only have one
hundred and seventy five. Yeah, rookie numbers, Like I can
get those numbers. Oh, we'll go in look at my
text messages. Oh my god, one thousand, two hundred and
thirty seven undread messages that.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
You always wonder why you don't ever respond, and now
I respond to you. You know, it's like Jesus christ Man.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Well, like right now, one of those unread messages is
the thumbs up.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
That you gave me the thumbs up.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
There you go where I said just that and you
gave me a thumbs up.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
It is low thumbs up.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
They do. They do saw report that said, that's like
the most passive aggressive thing.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
Yeah, and I gave you another thumbs up.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
I think I thumbed up that artifle would you send
it to me? That's cool?

Speaker 1 (06:49):
That's why. Uh yeah, I don't know. I give the
thumbs up to everything. I didn't realize that was pressing
an entire generation of mentally soft people.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
One hundred percent.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
It is sarcastic though, when you got a thumbs up nowadays,
like you know, someone does something stupid like Okay, good job, buddy.
I mean, oh, it also means okay, gotcha noted.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
Someone sent me and I am at work. Hey, just
just so you know, right now I'm logged into busy
some working bank statements thumbs up, you get a thumbs up.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
No, we're definitely dealing with like soft generation and stuff.
And like if you're when you're watching this, go back
and watch the live show because I've I got a
couple of things. I gotta launch it on the show
today about just I don't know.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
I had a great title for today's show, but like
any other day, I didn't write it down and I
had I was sitting there chuckling on the way to
break room and ship. I was like, Hey, it's gonna
be great. I should write it down. No, I'm good.
I don't remember the title.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
I remember that.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
I don't remember the title. That's gonna be col Craft
Beer and weak ass Man.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
It's a pretty cool title, though, I can we'll forget it.
But anyways, get back to the business. In the business
hand is chat uh pretty darn't tasty's I want to
finish this off all right? We're eight minutes in there

(08:22):
you go. That was really good, freaking great, like a flavor.
I meant like a four on this, sitting at a four.
They ever scores three point eight six. I'm a little
bit above that. Uh. I really liked it, really enjoyed it.
That happiness you kind of get that little lingering. I
p a taste on the back. Even though it's a
Tosner hops, I would go ahead and just tell you

(08:46):
right now that not only is this good, but it's
good for you. Are you at there, buddy?

Speaker 1 (08:51):
I'm four too, man, I'm four as well.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
I should take it's like four two. That's not an
official but.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
I mean the can, I love the can. I love
that man. The combination tops we're just hops were phenomenal.
This is this is a slammable, crushable just really taste
and a fresh pillsner generally.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
Want to knock off and go to slush shield and
just get whcro wasted on these and then take an
uber home.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
I mean we could, right, I don't know why we don't. Oh, well, like, yeah,
five point two percent, I'll call by volume. I mean
it's and that's quite reasonable as well. So big thumbs
up for me. Yeah, four as you saw. If you're
listening to this, it looked like a pillsner, but it
had that little just differentiated with taste, had perfect carbonation too.
It was great. I mean I was high poor in yours.

(09:36):
It was foamed up with crazy.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Man, really freaking.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Good, really good. I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it. Have
you had chat room? And when was the last time
you went trolling for some tail in that chat room?

Speaker 1 (09:47):
Let us know, don't do it now.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
Well, I mean, as long as you're on the up
and up, you're fine.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Yes, anybody get catfish? Yeah, well, I mean everybody got.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
Cat fishing was around back here, So don't don't get
it twisted.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
You're like, there must have been a reason I only
got like this much.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
Callie Berry. You know what we'll do.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
We'll talk chat room ship uh in the Patriot patron
dot com Lat's trike up here.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
