Speaker 1 (00:00):
What is going on? Everybody? Welcome to strike up beer
quickly reviews with your panels, Alan Rapidave and Rerapi Dave.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
I'm Alan, and you're not lying today we're actually drinking
a beer.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Yeah, you're not lying. This is the second false idle
beer of the night because we were celebrating Star Wars.
Right May the fourth is upon us. This is another
beer from twenty twenty four anniversary their edition. It's Rule
of two. This is an Imperial stat with maple, marshmallow
and pecan. This little fella's fourteen point oh oh on

(00:33):
the abv oh. Allen just filled up his cup tossed
it back like it was there.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Was a little bit left in the can.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Thing I like about this is all the lightcres.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
The the sith lightsabers. It's the name of this one
is the rule of two, and the rule of two
is about the Sith always two, never more, nevertheless, no less,
which is necessarily accurate, because yeah, but what whatever besides

(01:06):
the point Star Wars.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Oh, it looks like motor roll out of an eighty seven.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
It looks so it looks delicious.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
And it smells delicious.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Got the head on the Star Wars day is May
the fourth, It's this Sunday. It's a day that it's
it's a holiday for me, like and for you, like
we love Star Wars Day, like leading up to it,
Like I'm all about like Star Wars like leading up
to it, and like right now we've got and Or

(01:41):
going on the second season and Or, which is phenomenal.
I absolutely love it. The first season was great. The
second season is awesome. It's leading straight into rogue. One
can't wait, like I've already talked about during like other
recordings we've done. Once I watched the last three three
episodes of the of this season of and Or. As

(02:03):
soon as I'm done, I want to fire up ro
going Like you talked about watching it the other day,
I'm not watching it until I'm done with and Or.
And I can't wait.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
I think we only have one more week of indoor, right,
there's only.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
We have to There's there's twelve episodes in this season.
We've had six so far. We have two more, which
each season takes place a year after. But hey, cheers
mazl mazle.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
And cheers to you.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
May the Force be with you.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
I didn't want to take a peek of this underneath
light because this is a this is a heavy, heavy, heavy,
heavy hitter. It's really good, all right, So I should
have a little bit of red. You can't really tell
you see, oh there it is. You see the red
right there a little bit, so you have a little
bit of red, but it's super dark. The head on it, though,
is it's got a beautiful like caramel, you know, a

(02:56):
little light brown color. If you're listening to this, go
check it on youtubebe or Facebook. But it's got a
like a beautiful like peanut butter cup top on it. Right.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
It's it's impairs out with maple, marshmallow and pecan or pecan,
however you prefer.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
You can smell the marshmallow. So that's what the first
thing I think I smell is the actual marshmallow on
this one. How about you?

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Yeah, I got I got you on that.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Yeah, that's what I think. That's what you're picking up there.
You'll have a little bit. Yeah, I think I think
the marshmallow is a little bit more overtaking than the
maple or the pecan. You can get a little bit
of pecan. I don't. I don't get a lot of
maple there. But when the sip goes through, though I.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Do get the maple and when I when I take
a drink, like I definitely taste the maple when I
take the drink, a little maple syrup type flavor, A.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Little boozy on the end, a little bit, but.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
It's a fourteen percent it should be boozy. It's really
freaking good.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
I don't know. We got our hands on. We talked
about doing this one and when you told me what
it was. Now this is this is twenty twenty four anniversary.
I believe there's other ones out up to fifteen percent
of cording to on tapped, it's at fifteen. It's an
imperial stat with maple, marshmallow pecan. May the fourth be
with you any on the IBus which is not accurate.
It definitely has IBus.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
For a little bit.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Oh you know what, I'm not going to run it.
Three hundred and thirty three check ins on tap three
hundred and fifteen unique. We'll talk about the score a
little bit later.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
But here's the thing. This is a beer that like
when it came out last year, I wasn't drinking and
you're like, hey, go and buy these two beers. Yep,
and we will have them on May the fourth next year,
Like that was our whole purpose behind buying these. We'll
buy them. We'll have them next year for May the fourth.

(04:59):
And having sat for almost a year again, these beers
came out in May uh for their fourth anniversary party. Yeah,
they're really freaking good, like both the ones we had.
The first one was hollowpuck. This one is the rule
of two, both delicious beers. And I'll just be honest,

(05:23):
like anytime I can get like a Star Wars related beer,
I will go and buy it and have it because
I can love Star Wars.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Though it was a little you know, you're like you
sure you want this because I get a little cheap
every so often, but.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Well it was Wars, Like I don't I don't think
it was like, hey, you said they have two, there,
get two of each, one for each of us. We'll
put in the fridge and next year, when you can
drink again, we'll have them. And and that's what we're
doing now. It's really I think it's really good. Like

(06:04):
I enjoy stouts. I think stouts are best enjoyed in
cold weather, maybe outside by a fire or something like that.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
We're indoors.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
It's a little bit more chilly right now because we're
going through some little rain. We have some rain coming
through which might impact both of our weekends. You're supposed
to go out to the Byron. I've got a kid
as a tournament this weekend. We'll see what happens. But
it's pretty damn good.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Yeah, I think, to be honest, like this would this
would be better enjoyed around like February outside, Maybe an
extra coat.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
On January February.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Got a little cigar going there, nice little overcoat, nice
little fire going, maybe a little smoke of fire so
it doesn't blow on your face. But uh, yeah, I
just for stouts and stuff like that. I don't I
don't drink a lot of stouts. I drink downs for
the show. You make me want to drink this out.
You're like, he't drink this, you know whatever, it's it's sting.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Don't act like you don't enjoy them when you drink them. Okay,
you're like, well, I just drink stouts because you're like, oh,
let's drink stouts for the show. You can enjoy them
when you drink them, just like when you first when night,
when you first started drinking craft Beers. It was me
bringing them to you and you're like, oh, I don't know, man,

(07:31):
but you drank them and you enjoyed them. And then
we started doing the bets. We started doing the fantasy
football bets through we would do a draft, not DraftKings,
but what was the other side.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Uh fandal fandel.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
We would do FanDuel lineups. We will both do a
FanDuel lineup on your account, and whichever one scored the
most points you won. The one who scored the least
amount of points brought a six pack of some sort
of craft beer and we drank it once and say
it softball, and you you enjoyed that. That was your

(08:05):
first foray into Kraft Beers. It really was, and.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
I often too, like whenever you do like a solo
show or something like that, or people ask me about it,
like if I ever have a conversation with someone about
craft beer. It was like one of those things, were like, yeah,
we bet this and bet that. You know about fantasy
or dfs, and it was like you did it well.
It was fun, but you always won.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
No matter what. If you want to lost, right, yeah,
if you won, if you won, I brought a six
pack of a beer. We both we split it and
we each had three. If you lost, you brought a
six pack of a beer that you haven't had before,
and we split it and we had fun, right, And
that was the cool thing about it. Either you you

(08:52):
paid for it or you didn't pay for it. But
like it was also like I was. I was big
in the crack beers and drinking a bunch of different
beers and you weren't so much. And I was like, hey,
let's let's start doing some bets. And you're like, okay,
well we betten. I go, We're betting a six pack
of crap beers. And you got in on it and

(09:14):
we started doing it. And the next thing we knew,
we were doing the podcast and we were drinking crap
beers for the podcast. And that's just kind of how
it all started, was fancy football bets. And then we
started doing a fancy football podcast where we drank different beers,
and it just it's just all spiraled uphill from there

(09:35):
as far as I'm concerned. Right, Uh, we're drinking a
bunch of different beers, we're having a good time, We're
going to breweries and drinking beers. We're meeting people that
we might not have ever met before before we started
doing all this and just just having a blast. But
it's all centered around beer, just the love of beer.

(10:00):
And it is like for me, like when I the
first bear ever had. I it was good Friday and
I was hanging out with a bunch of friends that
I always hung out with, and then one buddy who
would always ask me every time he hung out, do
you want a beer? And I always told him no, no, no,

(10:20):
And then there was one particular it was good Friday.
He looked me, It's like, hey, you want a beer?
And I looked at him. I said, yeah, I'll take
a beer, and he's like, are you serious. We're out
of Buddy's house. It was always like front yard barbecues.
We were always out in the driveway barbecuing. Everyone brought
their food and all that we barbecued, and always everyone

(10:41):
always brought beer and we drank beer and I always
drank water, coke or whatever whatever I was drinking, and
there was he always asked me. In this one particular Friday,
I said, you know what, I'll have a beer, and
he goes, are you serious? I go, yeah, give me
a beer. He gave me a butt light and I
cracked it open. I took a drink. Gon go God, damn,
that's good. And like we actually ended up that night

(11:06):
out at We end up out strip, the one of
the strip club owned by.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Go Ahead, Go Ahead, tell me one more back nine.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
No, uh, Panterra it wasna. I don't think it was
back nine.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
I think it was called something else then.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
I don't know, but it was the the guys that
owned it from Pantera. So we go out there. I
had had a couple of beers before we went out there.
I only had like two, and then we drove out there,
and this was actually the first strip club I ever
went to. And I'm out there and I'm out there
with my couple of my buddies and one guy's like,
my buddy's like, hey, if you're ready lap asks said no,
he goes, I got you, And so Skirl walks up.

(11:50):
He goes, hey, my buddy needs a lap dance. He's
never had one before. She goes, cool, we have it. Whoa,
oh the clubhouse back then, the clubhouse, that's that's it.
And uh and he goes what she goes, yeah, no,
we have it. Me and my buddy, me and my friend,
we have it, We'll give him his lap dance. And
he was like, okay, that's cool, and he didn't know

(12:12):
he was paying for two girls give me a lap dance.
But also like then at the clubhouse, it wasn't like
it's like if we went to a Jaguars, I'll say, Okay,
it wasn't his hands on. It wasn't so much a
contact support as.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
It was butt cheeks.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
And I've always keep my kept my hands myself. But
the ladies, depending on where you go, they don't keep
anything to themselves.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
But yeah, no, and so we were in charge. But yeah,
we went out there, and then I think like two
weeks later we had a couple We had a few
more times where we went out or everybody's house and
I had a few beers and they're like, hey, we're
gonna go drink it tonight.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
We went out too. I think it was like long
Horns in the Stockyards or something like that, and I'm like, hey,
we're going out here, we're getting you drunk. You're not driving,
someone else is driving, and we're gonna get you drunk.
And I was like, cool, I'm in, And I got
knocking back beers and then like this was my first
time having shots and having shots, and like at one

(13:24):
point it's like, oh God, like it hit me, I
had to go throw up, and I'm heading to the bathroom.
I don't make it to the bathroom and I throw
up on the floor. I don't make it and I
get to the bathroom. By the time I get the bathroom,
I've been throwing up, right, And then I come back
and I go back to my body's like, hey, but
you guys want to see something like what I go,
come here and I take them all to the spot
where I threw up on the floor. You see that

(13:45):
right there? They go, yeah, I go, that's mine. I
was proud of it. And then they were like, hey,
it's your turn to buy shots. I was like, I'm in,
And so I bought shots and I had a shot
and like I just kept the party just kept going.
Pukin rally was always something that was instilled in me
from day one. But yeah, and then it was always

(14:10):
drinking like bud Light, corps Light and all that. But
then like I did a whole a beer quest. A
beer was called beer quest O eight that I did
with a knob and it was a drinking competition. I
drank like, I want to say, three hundred and four
hundred and something different beers in a year, because who
can drink the most different beers in a year. And

(14:32):
there's actually things that I've actually recorded about beer quest
O eight that Mike Graham has posted online. You can
find it, and there's me and Buddy christ and talking
about drinking and Jesus and it's just there's shut out there,
press conferences and all that. But yeah, I won beer

(14:53):
quest oh eight. Actually have a shirt that we printed
about it. But yeah, started drinking crap eers then always
love crap ears. You became my best friend back when
we started working together and I was like, oh, we
gotta drink some crap beers. Buddy, You're like, I don't know, man.
I started getting you into it, and then we started

(15:14):
doing the bets and then it's gonna know, we're doing
the podcast and here we are.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Boom, Yeah, mas of mah good thing to masa malla
good things. There we go. So you can find all
their beers at fallside of brew dot com. They're out
in North utchin Hills. This one we're having though, this
is a little butte is a it's I did. I

(15:40):
did find this and it said twenty twenty five Texas
Craft Brewers Brewer the Year brewery in North rich On Hills, Texas,
offering a variety of options on draft wall regularly and
I didn't know they won that award.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
I'm pretty dope. Again. I've talked about it. I've talked
about Brandon out there, the head brewer. He brew some
damn good beers. I've talked to him on several occasions.
A great guy. Yeah, they brewed delicious beer out there,
and I talked about.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
I talked about the last one. May seventeenth, if I'm
not mistaken, that's their anniversary five year anniversary, and.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
They're doing like a whole like fest thing. So it's
like a like a fest, like go out to like
a music fest or something like that, and they have
You're doing the market out there, they're doing tied I shirts,
they they've got other beers. But like, here's the thing
about that with their anniversary party, as it always is,
it's it's an event where you have to buy a

(16:46):
ticket for and they have vi P and they have
general mission. So you can't just show up to the
brewer and be like hey here here, I am to
drink beers. You got to buy a ticket to this event.
And you can buy a ticket for this event up
to the day off, like you can get the tickets again.
It's just you have to buy a ticket for the event.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Yeah, they do have fun. So we're doing this for
Star Wars, right, we're big Star Wars. They have May
the fourth be with you at the WOLFEDNN Star Wars
flight May fourth, Sunday, eleven to ten, May fourth, May fourth,
at the wolf in we will have our fifth annual

They've they've got a ton here. So check it on
their Instagram, on Instagram, Facebook and X Well it doesn't
share it as we can, but yeah, that's that's wild man.
You're gonna have.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
This weekend again, my kids gotta turn and my me
showing up and beaning. A part of things depends on
how they how they do, Like if they go out
there and we're just winning, I might not be able
to make it out there Sunday, but I hope I can.

(18:29):
And that's kind of hoping from them not to do
so great, but whatever. I want a Star Wars shirt
that they have, and I want the Star Wars Bears,
and if I can get some to go, I will
buy them to go so that we both have some.
I'll buy two of each one that they have. If

(18:50):
they don't have it to go and it's just a flight,
then maybe I just go out there and get a flight.
And if if I head out there Sunday and it's
just a flight that I can get nothing to go,
I'll go live. And I'm gonna go live and have
it and drink it and enjoy it. Probably.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
Yeah, So it says here false Idle Brewing Episode four
anniversary week is here.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
This is May twenty, episode five, because they're fifth year annimals.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
That's what I say. But I found the old the old
posting there, which is really cool because you actually could
catch episode three in theaters right now, which is awesome
as hell, because.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
That's my favorite of the prequels is the Revenge of
the Sith. And this is when Obi won an Anakin battle,
and this is when Anakin becomes Fader and you have
the whole just you have the one who's like, oh,

(19:53):
Master Anakin, what's going on? And like Anakin just goes
in there and just tears us up. Right, Yeah, I
enjoy that. That's actually my kinsie, my youngest, that's her
favorite Star Wars movie is preventually The Sith and she
loves that. She's like, oh, I want the one where
they're where they're battling on the lava planet.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Is how she calls it the Stfa.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
And that's where that's the big battle between Anakin and
Obi wan their first big battle.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
Someone did as hot dogs on like a gorilla and
it was like amazing. It was a phenomenal, phenomenal, God
damn it.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
I would love dogs battling on a gorilla.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
Let's go. We had to do the nine to nine deal.
Nine innings, nine beers, nine dogs. We got to do that,
you know, just one day?

Speaker 2 (20:46):
Can we make it happen on a Wednesday?

Speaker 1 (20:48):
I mean we could just you just kind of hit
nine hot dogs. Man, just making nine hot dogs. We
already got nine beers. And I want to be honest
with you.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
I want to go be like, hey, maybe go buy
some hot dogs at the store right now because I
kind of want a hot dog right now.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
Yeah, yeah, now we can do that. We'll do We'll
do it in three weeks. How about that. Well, I'll
make an event. We'll do it, and then.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
We got to look at the Rangers.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
Get We'll have a game, We'll have a game on
so we do we.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Do a Wednesday show when the Rangers play, and we'll
we'll sync it up with the game and we'll do
nine dogs, nine beers. That can go. I'm all in.
But at the end of the day, we are drinking
the Rule of two. Uh, this is an age beer
review for us? Do we want to do a review

(21:34):
on it or just thumbs up? Somembs down.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
Let me tell you this. So there's been Oh I
had to pull it up. What the hell happened there?

Speaker 2 (21:43):
It is Rule two scores like four or something.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
There's only been three hundred and thirty three check ins.
Three hundred and fifteen are those unique? Two hundred and
ninety one are reviewed. So make sure you get out there,
you put your review in, because we have ours. I
have strike I beer, Allen has his, and we can
add two more to this thing, right, two hundred and

(22:08):
ninety one reviews four point one five on the average score.
And I already know what I'm picking.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
What you said, you already know what you're picking, all.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
Right, So this thing I like to go true to style.
It's just black as your heart's your exis hearts right.
The carbonation is the perfect It's been sitting in my
fridge for a year, perfect carbonation, A little light caramel. Look,
it's still sitting there. All get do is give it

(22:40):
as s whirl, right, and it just sits. This sits
a little bit longer. The flavors are fine. It's heavy
on the marshmallow up front. You get a little bit
of maple on the back end and pecan on the
ass end of little pecan pickan goes right down the
ass a little nicely, but you know, not much because

(23:02):
I drink and I swirl right, and I'm will show
you his glass minute and it starts checking boxes as
you go along, right, So as we check boxes, we
have to. We look at the style, we look at
what it should taste like, what it should look like,
everything like that, bing bang boom. This is the four
point two five. All day long, the Moss no less.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
I was literally sitting here thinking, I was like, I
would give this a four point two five. I absolutely
love this speer. Yeah, it's it's good, it's good for you.
Let's can go. And it is a Star Wars Star
Wars I got. I got all the Star Wars stuff

(23:48):
behind me. I'm not going to pretend to be biased
or anything like that. I just can love Star Wars.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
Let's just be honest.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
It's great, great movies, just everything about it I love.
But tell us what you think. Have you had the
rule too? It's probably from last year. Yeah, the bubble
got me. Tell us what you think. We would love
to know what you think. And let's be honest.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
Star Wars is awesome. And if you don't think so,
you oh as.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
Always on Allen. We'll talk to you guys later.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
