Speaker 2 (00:07):
I'm going to drink this beer and you're gonna drink
some sort of a cocktail.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
So listen.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Some sort of concoction over here today is what's happening.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
What we're having right now is Golden Road Brewing or
Golden Road Brewing. Mango cart, mango wheat ale. Now. The
only reason I went and got the sexual stuff. Now
they got a bunch of stuff. You can read here
one pulling the drinks, and they said, make it into
a mango cart. Meets a lot of in four steps.
It was rimmed the glass with lime. Well I didn't
have lime, so I did, but I got the chili
lime salt. I got the uh whatever that's it's called,
(00:34):
and I had some Luckily I had some mitch a
lot of mix that the kid had. All right, And
then they said this in and.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Guard, we'll show people your glass before you. So you're
just going all you're going full. I'm having a good
ton today, having a good ton, a full simple jack
over here. That's all god. Uh mango cart from a
Golden Road Brewing. It's a wheat beer that's fruited.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
First of this series, inspired by the iconic fruit cart
vendors of Los Angeles. A light weeed ale with lots
of fresh mango flavor and aroma, fishing, crisp and refreshing.
I ever score a three point eight one out of
five out of two hundred and two eight hundred and
twenty nine ratings. So this one's been around for a minute.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Your phone, of course, I don't have a phone.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
This averages three thousand, two hundred and thirteen check ins
a month.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Yeah, so it's it's.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Been around for a minute. A lot of people have
had it. I picked this up at Kroger. Is part
of the made my own, Yeah, made my own six pack.
I've seen it.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
That's why when you said it, I got a Croger's
kind I've never seen this beer before. And so you know,
there's the cannon right there.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
It's got a nice light color to it.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
Yeah, a little light straw co. So here's what mine
looks like.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Oh that smells just like mango. So that's mango. I
hope for a nice little mango cheers, mazz and mazel
good things.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Oh yeah, Okay, that's pretty good. Oh yeah, you gotta
get down with this. This is chilly little.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
I'm okay with you.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Know.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
You can't even taste the beer, Yes, I can, No,
you can't.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
It tastes like beer. Yeah, that's why I'm getting the
the mango's coming.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
Through tasting everything but the beer.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
But they're telling me how to do that. They made
me do this.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
They didn't make you do anything.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Well, I want to though.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
You didn't even do what they told you to do.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
I did half. I couldn't find a damn line.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
So how often do you do something like that cheer beers? Uh?
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Never? Okay, Like I'll have a Mitchillata ever so often.
So I never really do it myself if I not
a bar or something like that, or like on vacation, right,
and like if you want to Bloody Mary, if you
want to opt out of not like drinking liquor, you know,
like Bloody Mary and you want a beer the same effect, right,
but you know it's a little bit easier. I think
it's easier on the stomach. But I love Bloody Mary's
(02:57):
it mind to come. I've made my own. I've done
the build your own Bloody Mary stuff at the different
bars and whatever. But like, as far as this goes,
it's been a while now, Lizzie will make me one.
Ever so often I will say this though, if you're
if you're you're watching, if you don't, if you don't
want to use a glass and all this kind of stuff.
You know, we have draft tops, and I think drafttops
a great product to just rip the top off the beer.
(03:19):
And yeah, I mean you can now. Chimoy is something
they put on. I've had that like Odd Muse and
other breweries around here. I think I even had it
at Three Nations. So Three Nations they had they released
their jalapeno beer, thinking about have been for single to
my own. So I went in there like you want
to dress. If they ever asked me that, the answer
(03:40):
is generally yes. Okay, So and I'm like, and that
was a hot ass beer. It was a Jalapeno colts
or Halopeno pilsner or something like that, and so I
was like, cool, it was already hot enough. And then
I put little spices on it and whatever. They dressed
it up real nice. But uhman, pretty damn pretty damn good. Okay,
you want just a little bit, no, no, no, I'm good.
(04:02):
I like I like tomato, like I like tomato juice
V eight Like I said, I love bloody Mary's used.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
To I'm not a big bloody Mary guy.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
Used kind to make my own, you know. That was
what I did, like to start like kick off like
a you know, the football season, like on Sunday, you know,
we're hanging around. I would always go and do that.
But uh but yeah, I mean, you know, I like it.
It's gives a nice stough I can't have. You can't
have a lot of these, right right, you have like
Wanning you're kind of all right.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Was like, okay, that was fun.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
It's like a breakfast accessory for a Vegas or something
like that. You're waking up. It's a little you know,
a little fog brain you kind of talk about last night,
but you don't really want to get too embarrassed, and
so you're like, just give me a meach a lot
or a bloody Mary or something like that. So he
did good, because he did real good.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
Yeah. Well, I mean she always goes all out for
that kind of stuff.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Mm hmm. Yeah. Luckily that they had so meet a
lot of mix I think it was I was gonna
bring it in here, but I put in the fridges
like Don Pedro's or something like that, so super dark.
Usually when I have like a meat a lot of
it's like a brighter head color. But this one, as
you can see, it was like pretty dark. It's got
a good flavor to it. It's it's pretty good. But yeah,
this beer, you can I can taste a mango coming
(05:08):
through it. Yeah, and it's a it's got a good
mango flavor. I think it's a good beer because usually,
like with wheat beers, they're gonna have they're gonna be
a little bit eating almost like a little sour taste
of them every so often, just very hint a little bit.
But wheat flavors have a good they bring out other
flavors and whatnot. And with it being mango, it's gonna
give you that fruity taste and whatnot. And but I
am picking up the mango through this.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Yeah, the mango was pretty good. It's got a nice,
good flavor to it. It's nice and light. It's coming
in at what I say, four percent alcohol by volume.
It's listed as having ten IBus, so it's something that's
gonna be really smooth, nice like I could see like
chill them by the side of the pool and drinking this.
All right, nice summer beer. It's a nice summer beer
(05:49):
for sure. For sure, pretty damn tasty. Let me go
ahead and finish this off, and let's give us some scores.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
Yeah that sound.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
Oh buddy, I'm probably at about a three five on
this one and a half, a three and a half.
Let's see a score on it's a little bit higher.
It's a three eight one one three eight one. I
mean check ins are two hundred and two thousand, eight
and twenty nine ratings.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Ratings, ratings, that's ratings. We never had this beer before, never.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
Crazy, I have never even heard of it, and uh,
I've seen it there for a while and just Haddon,
is this our first.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Golden Road beer? I think so? Yeah, things we wet
with mango. Golden Brewing in Los Angeles, California and Saint Louis, Missouri.
Interesting with being Saint Louis.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
They're they're Macrobrewery and they have two hundred and forty
two beers listed on untapped whoa I don't know, I
don't So they have a beer that they brew exclusively
for outback steakhouse called the Bluemen Blondale.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
That's awesome.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
Yeah, I'm looking through here. Nothing that sticks out. They
have a spicy mango cart a spicy version of this.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
They got a.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
Cucumber limelager with a hint of hobb and aaro flavors
called picot to Mexico.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
Okay, here you go. So September twenty second, twenty fifteen,
Anheuser Bush announced today it will acquire Los Angeles based
Golden Road Brewing. So then that when I see Saint Louis, Missouri,
I think an So that's what made me think of it.
So it's probably you know, the ten years ago that's
you know whatever, ten years ago in a couple of months,
(07:43):
you know, almost. But anyway, uh, I mean I liked it.
I mixed it with obviously meet a lot of mix
and some dressed it up a little bit.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
And then they got a non alcoholic version of this
as well.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
Oh yeah, yeah, that's fine. But uh yeah, I mean
thumbs up for me. I'm not gonna rate it. I'm
not gonna because I didn't have it. I had a
dressed up version of that. But I mean, what would
you write the dressed up version? You know, it's pretty good.
I've got three seven five. How about that? Missing the line?
You know we were slacking in the kitchen.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
I baffled that you don't have any line in there.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
I bet you they used it all. Yeah, we're cooking
up every day, man, cooking.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
Every day tends and mac and cheese. Right now, a
little one there going tens and cheese, Tends and cheese.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
She did barbecue chicken, mac and cheese and baked beans. Yeah.
Like the chicken. It's like, I mean, a whole damn
thing of chicken. So I said, what are you making
a night? And she's like, barbecue chicken, you know, some
big beans and some mac and cheese whatever. So yeah,
I was like, all right. I don't know if he
got Dino Nuggies or something, but.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Yeah he was. He was all tends and cheese, cheese.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
Yeah, I'll tell you what. Yeah, been having had smashburgers
last night. Okay, we have the night before that was figuring.
It's a you never heard of, so it's okay, it's
just one of their meals, right, Yeah, it's one of
her homemade things where it's it's like you have beef
chopped up almost like cubed or whatever trapped in pieces
then like zucchini and some other things, and it's like
(09:04):
in this crazy sauce and you know, then you got
I don't know, man, you make some soup with it.
It's just OK. Yeah, it's it's wild as hell.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
So it's a hot time of the year to have soup.
It was. I took it.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
I just wanted a little bit, but I was like, yeah,
it's ninety five outside, y'all know that soup season. I'll
know that. And they're like they don't care, and it's
just like, you know, it's just.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
What that But yeah, no, it's pretty darn tasty. Have
you guys had mingo cart? Let us know what you think.
I thought it was pretty damn good. They can dressed
it all up if you want to throw a bunch
of crap in it, and uh.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
I recommend it that way.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Yeah, so I recommend man, But let's know what you think.
As always, guys on my island, I'm already talked to
you later. U
