Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome back Quick Hands podcast, and this is a solo
one with just me. Flew a swept through the camp
and Nicol and Tanya were sick. Unfortunately Nigga's overseas, so
you can have the pleasure of just having me rambling
on for the next forty five minutes. But the whole
(00:21):
team's back next Thursday after Roger three dissecting the game,
so I can't wait for that. So he goes nothing
went back Baby season three, and I said it would
(00:42):
have last. Hi, I'm George, Atha, Thanks, and I'm Nick,
and welcome to the Quick Hands Regular podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
This is the pot.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
Tell us what it is.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
It's the quick Cast, badcast. The board does used to
be good, but that did not last. That's why I
Joe tost off the pethes is and now gust and
controversy is a corner window and Wolf past Nicks have
been a shambles since thirty six. Dragons haven't done no better.
T when he takes a clinch, only teamless see success.
As Path is getting rich, the Broncos keep on taking
lots of tiny his head and this I call up
(01:18):
and I'm asking Nati for some movies. They said that
has to sit there for the Waters defeat Friday Night Food.
In his tip, it's just to be complete. I'm off
the bench when now he watched you running for the team.
I am playing in the NFL. We only mess with
the league, getting tries every day time we're killing every team.
I'm super quickly with all these hands, I cast them
Mont Day, George, Nick, Tanya, Arthur to the stage.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Please welcome back Episode one oh seven Quick Hands podcast.
A little bit different this week. I'm doing it solo. Unfortunately,
it flew structor struct the camp and everybody's down. Unfortunately,
we've got one guy out of his overseas. As we know,
he's taken over the roads, and I think last I heard,
(02:05):
he was caught up in some sort of scandal in Romania.
They went for a they went for a cup game,
and I don't know something was found in his bag.
I can't confirm or deny anything, but we'll get all
the dirt when he comes back. And good luck to Arthur.
(02:25):
Nikol is still battling with COVID, and I believe Tenya
is not well. I haven't been well at all, but
I spoke to Nick today and I told him I
hate some things to get off my chest and he said,
George's go for it. So I hope this works. The
first time ever I'm doing a solo pod, so if
(02:47):
I if I bore you, I apologize. So on this episode,
we're going to talk a little bit, a little bit
about Peter Vorlandis and the NRL and how I think
that they're going in the wrong direction. I want to
talk a little bit about Origin too, and I know
(03:08):
I've missed the bus, but we've been off for a
fortnight now, so I couldn't get my saying not about
the team's performance, but everything sort of around around the game.
And of course I want to talk about probably the
best game we've witnessed this year, the Penrith and the Dogs.
(03:31):
What a game that was, and I want to talk
a little bit about it and how good that was
and comparing it to the Origin. I want to talk
about a little bit of West Tigers, a little bit
of our NRLW and we'll finish off of the Super League.
So let's go. The first thing we do usually on
the main show is the good thing of the week.
(03:54):
Now this is dated a little bit because it's happened
a fortnight ago, but we're the roosters. Sorry. When Origin
to Origin Orangin two completed, I noticed Spencer, Spencer Lenu
went up to Israel Man and they had a few words.
(04:14):
I think they shook hands or oh, I didn't think
they hugg but they shook hands and they communicated. Now
it's good we know that Israel Man is a very
emational human being and and look, it's good to see
him in a good space. Bro looks at it because
(04:36):
by his performances out in the field, it seems like
he's moved on when he's playing in Brisbane and everything
seems to be all right. It's just when he comes
to Sydney and I'm not sure if they're going to
continue booing him or not, but I suspect not, especially
if the Broncos are going to keep on winning. But
(04:56):
it was it was a lovely morning. It was a
lovely Sorry, it was a lovely moment. They look like
they both moved on and buried the hatch. So good
on you, and I think Spencer approached Isra Man, so
a gird on your Spencer being the big man. But again,
it's good to see them moving on. And like I said,
(05:17):
for Isra Man, because we know how isra Man Asia
Man is in terms of his personalities, are very vulnerable
and emotional national characters. I have that hop that buries
the hatch and they move on. I want to talk
about Peter Vorlandis and the NRL. You know what they
(05:38):
look at the they look at the ratings and look
admittedly the ratings on television Skyrocket. They've never seen ratings
like this. People go into the grounds for around RL
every year. They're ten to fifteen improvement every year, so
they are they top out every year. So that's fantastic
(06:02):
money in the coffers. We know that there's never been
so much money in the Neral coffers ever ever. And
apparently they're using a proper which they should. They should
have been doing that a long time ago. But putting
that all in contents, it doesn't mean that they're doing
the right thing by the game, us watching it and
(06:25):
us going to it doesn't directly mean that I think,
in my opinion, they're doing the right thing for the game.
And let me explain. Now we know Peter vorland Is.
He he likes getting his own way, and the other
CEOs are calling him fear of the land Is and
(06:47):
why they're doing that because he he tries to get
his way on everything. Now we know about we know
about the him contacting all the media outlets and insisting
that they only published positive stories. Now what he wants
to do in in a few years. He wants to
package the game and sell it and get and sell
(07:10):
the rights to the to the viewing and get as
much money as he can. And look, I'm all for that,
it's great for the rugby league, but it doesn't mean
here he has to step in and and sort of
start chipping away at the fabric of the game. Recently,
he wants to he wanted to take over the the
(07:32):
VRC now thank god, thank god the union stepped in
and stopped it. Now Apparently he wanted to review all
the videotape because he wanted to clean the game up
even more. How much more can you clean this game up?
I mean, apparently he wants to stop the handbags and
the handbag froy when they all run in and a
(07:55):
bit of a push and shove, and you know, it's
more of a mother's meeting and than anything. And what
they're doing is showing a bit of emotion and supporting
their fellow teammates. So that's what he wanted to stop.
That's what he wants to stop. Look in his defense,
I understand why he wants to do it. He wants
a squeaky clean game so he can go to I
(08:19):
don't know Amazon, stand Optus or wherever and saw this game.
But what he's actually doing is breaking down the fabric
of this game where we get into now. I mean
when a player is dipping and you maybe and maybe
not touch someone's head, I mean you get on, you
(08:43):
get on report in ten minutes. It's ludicrous. It's crazy.
I mean, if he had his way, he'll stop the kickoffs,
so those big runs that come back, he eliminates that
those as well. For me, it's crazy, it's lyricrous. He's
not only he's ripping the fabric out of the game,
(09:04):
he's taking the emotion. And that's what we love as
as as spectators when we watch our rugby league team,
we want to feel something. The top line of rugby league,
the basic running, the tackling, It affects us emotion emotionally.
That's why we jump up and scream and cheer and
(09:28):
and you know, I mean feel something. And what he's
trying to do slowly but surely take all that away
from us. Well, that's what it seems like he's doing.
Him might not realize it. And look, he looks at
it as dollars and cents. I look at it as
entertainment and I want to feel, I really want to
(09:48):
feel something, and he's taking that away. We saw a
great game last Thursday and that was a very physical game.
And thank god that the reference they're stuck his whistle
in his pocket and didn't blow the p out of it,
thank god. And that's we felt every emotion possible and
(10:10):
that we had a grand stand stand finished. But no,
he insists that he wants to rip it down slowly
but surely. And the new, the new. The new thing
we found out is that referees are looking for a
three second tackle in terms of when if they don't
(10:32):
get if the attackers or so, if the defenders don't
get off the attacking player in three seconds and in
three point five or three point something like the three
point seven, they're not playing the ball, the referee calls
the six. Again. What happens if a Penive player, a
(10:53):
Canbra player, a Melbourne player, their whole structure is based
on the fans, and they win the tackle and they
put him on his back, and because they win the tackle,
they're entitled an extra half a second. Well, guess what
the attacking player who's lost the tackle is going to
(11:15):
get rewarded for six Again. It's crazy, It's it's ludicrous.
I'm not sure where this game is going. Seriously, I
wonder sometimes I really want sometimes sorry, I also want
to talk about on social media. In social media, there's
(11:36):
a there's a young man at the moment he's goes
by JC. I think it's John Claude. He's a he's
a very passionate Saint George supporter. Look, he's a very
passionate Saint George supporter. But what he does is he
calls a spade a spade. He calls it how he
(11:58):
sees it. And is he is he a little bit colorful? Absolutely,
his language is a little bit colorful, not not rude,
not doesn't swear. He's a very colorful and I think,
very entertaining, entertaining human. But he calls a spade a spade.
(12:20):
But Saint George, in their wisdom, not only has blocked
him from from their account, not only has pulled him down.
They've complained to Instagram and pulled him down. They've got
n r L investigating him. All I know is that
(12:42):
if I can't speak my mind in a in a
in a in a respectful way, well I thought that
this was the people's game. Now if I think that
I don't like a certain player, well I don't think
how the club, the direction of a club, how it's going.
(13:02):
Why can't I speak my mind? Why should I say
it's okay and that's not that's it's okay. I mean
if we lose thirty miel every week and we're coming
second last, I mean, that's okay. You know. Now, let's
get let's get real. Most of you got most of
your listeners have seen this young man's tiktoks. He's he's
(13:27):
come down on young young Flannigan, young Carl Flannagan, and
I tend to agree with him. I believe it is
an nepotism. Now is he Is he the best half
back in the in the club? Looking? I think he is.
I think the best half back in the club is
in reserve grade at the moment. Should Carl be in
(13:47):
the team? Look at fourteen? Maybe a long but is
he the best halfback. I don't think so. So I'm
fully supportive of this young man Jays. He's fortune on
a head. He's four, you know, and and still speak
in his mind. But what I can't don't like is
how then I really has got involved. We're trying to
(14:11):
to shut this young man down. Like I said, if
we can't speak our mind. For God's sake, I honestly
thought that rugby league was one of the last people's game.
I'm obviously wrong, and and mister Velandis is in the
forefront of that, and he's wrong. He's wrong because you
know what, he doesn't take long from all those metrics
(14:35):
being high, like the most money in the coffers, people
march into the game, people turn into television on. It
doesn't take much the people start to turn off the
television and not get to the game. Peter, so be
(14:55):
very very careful how you continue, how you continue with
the NRL, because it's very sacred and what you've done
to it already. I get it, stop now, but stop now.
You know we don't need we don't need what you're
giving us because some games are really hard to watch
(15:17):
when when I watch, you know, some of the new
rules that have come in. They're really they're really really
irking me. But anyway, we keep on watching. What do
we do? I want to and also I want to
talk about Channel nine and specifically the Origin. They pay
(15:38):
a lot of money basically for the Origin and how
they present the game. And look, maybe maybe your listeners
and please I'd love the feedback. Maybe you listeners think
that the coverage of Channel nine is is good. I
personally don't. I think the commentators, uh possibly and probably biased.
(16:03):
And look, they just don't. Don't. Don't call a spade
a spade. You know someone's playing well when he's not
playing well or he's done, he's made a pass in
the middle of the of the field and someone scored
on the wing, and claiming that this this gentleman is well,
(16:26):
this player has made the break. Now if you're if
you're young Katoa, absolutely absolutely the guy is a magician,
young Cadald. The Dolphins are halfback, his body of movements,
his tempo changes, and yeah he disrupts the line on
(16:48):
seas and d's But let me tell you some of
these queensland all yourself. I was players didn't do that
on Origin too. But this is my The other thing
is Start of Origin provides the NRL with I think
(17:11):
the revenue of the year. So one game or one
series equates to nearly fifty of the NRL's coffers. A
fantastic great. So you would think that I would put
their money in their pocket and give us some entertainment
(17:36):
before the game. Now, if it's up to me, I
don't want entertainment. I mean, get Under Nines and play
those little little games they do. I find that entertaining.
Or get the under Nines and they can have sprints. Sprints.
I love it. I love it. But in NRL's wisdom,
(17:56):
they got a band in Wa called wolf Mother. Now
I know wolf Mother, for God's sake, wolf Mother, I
don't know. Get seen Arena. I don't care get get
get you know Vanessa Morossi. But wolf Mother, are you serious?
I can't believe when I saw wolf Mother come in out,
(18:18):
I couldn't believe it, you know, I mean they're not
a good band. I don't know w A people. I
love them, no one I know they're a w A band.
So probably that's why they got the gig. But look again,
for a professional for a professional, a professional company at
(18:40):
the NRL and for the biggest occasion of the year
or one of the biggest occasions, one of the three
biggest occasions of the year, they give us a wolf mother. Okay,
I'll stag it. I will stag it. So I think
they they don't give us anything. Please, please don't give
(19:01):
us anything. I don't want to. I don't want to
sit through that again, I really don't. I want to
talk about the the refine of origin too as well.
Ashley Kline. Ashley Kline is the best referee in the game. Actually, Clin, Please,
(19:21):
I couldn't. I couldn't believe what Ashley Clin did on
that night, and there's no doubt it was under under
instructions what he did. Now to give a nine nil
penalty count, it's outrageous and it's not the nine that
I've got I've got a problem with. It's the nil.
So you're telling me and I agree. I agree the
(19:45):
nine the nine I saw most of the penalties. The
rough ones are a bit dubious, but look all the
other ones fair enough. I got no issue about about
the ones which are obvious. But you telling me that
Queensland was perfect. Look, I don't believe it. But what
(20:06):
it actually done. What he did was it took the
game out of the player's hands. It took He took
the game out of the player's hands and handed it
to one team. So I would let the fellas, let
(20:27):
the team sort it out. I would put my whistle
in my pocket and I'd let him sort it out.
And you know what it's been since, since since the eighties,
the origin, these teams have sorted things out on the field.
And I'm not talking about fifty cups. I'm not talking
(20:48):
about fifty cups. These these players who are the elite
players in the game, they saw things things out, don't
don't don't worry about that. So if someone's giving them
a facial or someone standing off side, or something's happening
in the ruck, don't worry. They square up in some
in some way or some modern way anyway, So to
(21:09):
blow the p out of the whistle, or he effectively
done was made it as as a spectacle a normal
NRL game, if that, if that, he made it a
normal NRL game. And you know what, I watched it.
I tried. I tried to watch it back again, but
I couldn't. But make no mistake, I'm not claiming that
(21:32):
the penalties ensure the Queensland team the victory. I thought
on the night Queensland was a better team. They had
an outstanding fifty minutes and with New South wal was
too little, too late, too little, too late in yourself,
so try again on the on the New South Wiles
(21:54):
as well. I'd like to to say that I've seen
this movie before. I've seen this movie before with Laurie Daily. Sorry, sorry,
I've seen this movie before. How he uses his bench.
I didn't think that I was prepared, were prepared at all.
(22:17):
They looked sluggish, they looked not motivated early doors and
they looked at shambles actually, and that's why Queensland completely
took over the game. And they looked at me in dollars.
And I want to talk about Stefano now. If Craig
Bellimy wants to get Stefano into form because maybe he
(22:43):
thinks he's bought a dad because he hasn't really played
outstandingly for the Melbourne Storm and he wants to put
him in the New South Fast team so he can
improve in terms of being around elite players and get
(23:03):
that confidence and come back to Melbourne storman and be
a better player. You know what. If he wants to
do that, well no, no, please no, Craig. No. If
you've got an agenda and you want to fix up
one of your players, well no, don't do it. Give us,
(23:24):
give us a form a form player. Because I'm sick
and tired of hurting. I'm sick and tired of waking
up Thursday mornings in pain because we've lost again. And
like I said before, I've seen this. I've seen this
movie before, I've read this book before. We're probably on
(23:45):
paper the better team, but something magically happens. I wake
up on a Thursday morning after Game three and I'm
hurting because we've lost again again to possibly on paper,
an inferior team on paper for your team, not on
(24:05):
the night. So I've seen this before. And then, Craig,
you know what, please no, no, you know what. There's
many a prop forwards out there, far better, more informed
than Stefano, who could have done a better job. Of course,
there's the South Sydney and the South Sydnea front row
(24:27):
who is injured unfortunately, and the West Tigers are front roller.
I don't want to mention their names. We all know
their names. Who's ready, willing and enable, and I don't
know what he's done. I don't know what he's done
in the in previous years for them to be alienated
from the team. But for me, he should have been blue. Anyway,
(24:50):
we move on. I want to talk about last Thursday,
we saw the game of the year penri Fate six
Canary Banks Sound six. What a game, What a game.
I was sitting down on the lounge enthralled. I was wrapped.
(25:12):
I was wrapped up so much into this game. I
can't explain to you. It had everything. There's nothing nothing
this game. There's nothing that this game didn't have. Every
emation went through my body. The two teams match up stylistically.
(25:35):
They do it in different ways, but they have the
same result because they want balling, balling play. Look, Penrith
with Ivan Cleary played it like every like every other
team plays Canterbury, straight up the middle, straight up the middle.
(25:55):
They just attacked Canterbury behind that ruck and off the
a's continuously, continuously, continuously and can do what they do.
They move the border to go forward. They might have
a hit up in the middle, but what they really
do is they move. They move it left. They move
it right, they move it left, they move it right
(26:16):
to go forward, and they kick the ki. They kick
out Brian. Brian, to my god, the guy's on one leg.
What he what he does, what he does is amazing.
I don't think i've in the modern day, I don't
think I've seen a better winger than him. Now. Uh,
(26:38):
they were bombing to Brian, and everybody says that they
were bombing him because they wanted to get over him,
because he's a short man and they believe that they
can they could jump over him. I suggest to you
that that's not why they're bombing at him. The old
bombing at him because they didn't want Brian to be
(27:01):
to run it off. Tackle two. The most important tackle
in the Pendiff system and now the Cannab system as well,
is the tackle tackle two one two two two three,
Because you're you're you're getting out, so you go Taho
two Edwards three maybe af Ford maybe or maybe not
(27:23):
Afford and you're kicking out, okay, but number two is
the one that gets you moving forward. For both teams,
now not not for Cannaby and and for all teams
are two of them. What is the most important tackle,
but very very important for for these two teams. And
of course Penriff penriff and in the pendiff system depends
(27:48):
on on that. Uh. And that's why I believe I'll
kicking onto too, Brian tojo. But they got around, They
got around that, and they're still getting out pretty pretty easily.
Penriff and the cycle, I couldn't believe the cycle. It
was a washing machine. They kept the ball in play
(28:08):
and was just enthralling. Basically, the Bulldogs blinked first and
that's the only reason they lost. And what I meant
about that Penriff was willing to grind for eighty minutes,
to go in the cycle for eighty minutes, to wait
(28:28):
for the opportunity and the mistake. And yeah, charge down
is an opportunity and is a mistake because that wasn't that,
that just didn't happen. I believe that Nathan was looking
for it here. It was calculated, and that's what makes
Nathan Nathan. So now it happened to bounce the right
(28:50):
way into his hands and he scored a try. But
that's that's that's the lucky you put yourself into so
outstanding standing. I want I want more, I want more
of this and in this she in general, the I
believe the standard of rugby league has dipped a little bit,
(29:11):
and we get that when when play player movement goes around,
goes around. That's what the salary cap does. But next
year I'm expecting her to lift again because the teams
will be more settled and the standard will raise. I
want to point out some plays. McLean or McLean, I
(29:33):
think his name is the young center. He was up
against the critter. My god, he gave critter everything, and
you know what, for a nine en year old kid,
I think he might have even got the points of
a creator. So I can't wait the next time to play,
because don't worry, Creator will have that in his memory
banks and it's going to be some fun. I mentioned
(29:57):
it and Sexton, and I think Sexton was one of
the best players. I think Sexton was one of the
the best players on the on the counter, on the carry,
banks down the team. But I believe that with Sexton
(30:19):
we're a chance of making the the big dances, as
as I call it. But I don't believe with sex
and we can win the competition. I really don't, because
I believe halves basically win comps and I think Toby
he's not quite there. When I think Cannarb. We have
(30:41):
got to get their interchange right with young Galvin. They're
either going to have to play him, I think, from
the start, or put him to reserve rate. It doesn't work.
What they're doing doesn't work. It breaks, It breaks the
continuity of of the of the attack. If that's what
they want to do, well they've got to really work
(31:02):
hard you get it to get it right. Because every
time they've done that, just just put put it, put
them out. And because young Galvin doesn't have a long
kicking game, well we all everybody knows that Burton's going
to kick, so we just crowded. We just get bodies
around him, we get numbers to him. Talking about Burton,
(31:25):
he's another he's another player on the night who had
an outstanding game. And I've said it, I've said it forever.
Run Burton, run, just run. You're a big body, just run,
just run. And that's what he did. And I was
surprised he didn't score and score and didn't score. Really
look in terms in terms of numbers, when you look
(31:46):
at all the stats, Caribby is a Caribby. If you
didn't watch the game and just saw all the stats.
You'd say, how much you carry win by the meters
the kicking meters. Canary had had it all in there
in in their favor. The only thing they didn't have
in their in their favor is the experience and just
(32:09):
the grid of Penrith. They know what they're doing and
that's what they do and they invented that style, and
you know what, the first half of the season they
lost it, but they got it back. And I'm not
sure if they're back, but they're alive and that's all
(32:31):
they need to be alive at this moment. Now are
they everybody's talking now they're going to win the camp.
All these magazine shows and commentators are saying, oh, they're
back and they're going to be top four. I'm not
sure about that. I don't I don't think they are.
I think it's a great build, stepping stone, a great
building block for next season. But again, stranger things have
(32:55):
happened in this club and this coach and this system
is pretty unique. So yeah, I loved and I want
and I want more, Uh West Tigers. At the moment,
there's a little bit, a little bit of chat around
West Tigers, and I'm going to make it really short
(33:16):
and sweet on this one. And the talk is about
Benji Marshall obviously, and I'm a massive fan of my father.
I've spoke about, spoke about it before. And the part
my father is a West Tiger's fan tragic actually, and
he's hurt me a little bit again because he thought
(33:36):
so the year they were sort of back and I
thought they were. I thought they were on the right
track and backers. Well, but I'm going to make it
very clear, Benji Marshall is not first grade coach. Benji
Marshall has been coaching for two maybe three seasons, not
enough of an apprenticeship to run and to man manage
(34:02):
first grade team. I'm not I'm not talking about the
x's and the a's. I'm sure he's very good the
x's and o's very good and the people who has
got around him, because coaches really don't coach ex's and o's.
Maybe they give the assistance the assistant coaches, their their theories,
what they want, what they want to get out of
(34:25):
the games are the soule they want to play, but
they don't really really do that much coaching. What they
do do is man managed. Now we've heard stories about
there's a senior click in the West Tigers. We've heard
about Jerome and Happy being tight with Benji, and look
(34:47):
so should so they should be. But I mean Wayne
Bennett because he's so experienced, he knows how to have
this click with he senior players and to show everybody
else love and care. So for Benji. The minute you
(35:09):
signed Benji, you knew it was going to be a
five year project. He'll take him another three years, I'd say,
for him to become a first grade coach, and then
he'll start building a team and a genuine roster. Now
he got rid of He got rid of the young hooker,
(35:32):
which his name elses me at the moment we all
know him. I would have kept him. And I know
you want to win now. I know you want to
win now, and I know Appy, Appy, he's still at
his best. But you could split them, you could split
them minutes with him and tell him that listen, in
(35:55):
a year or two, you're going to be my main hooker.
I think it was wrong getting rid of the young man.
And again I forget his name. I find his name
in the minute anyway, So that's uh, that's the West Tigers.
(36:15):
And it hurts me as well. It hurts me as
well because I'm a I'm a fan because of my father.
I'm a fan. But let me tell you the game
they played. The game they played was diabolical and over
the weekend. Sorry, I'm just trying to find his name.
(36:39):
A sorry, talent to silver, that's the talent of Silver
that that game, mainly versus West, was one of the
worst games I've seen in my life. That's how bad
it was, especially the first half. Anyway, moving on, let's
go to uh, let's go, let's go Super League and
I'm sorry, no, let's go, let's go nrl W. And
(37:01):
they start tonight and we'll be following it on the
on the main program, and they forget the whole game.
Will be back next Thursday after Origin, and we'll dissect
the game. And I can't wait to see the whole
gang back together and talking a little bit of regular league. Tonight,
the Sharks play the Eels and I can't wait. I
(37:23):
can't I love my nraal W. And we'll talk further
about the nral W. But obviously we've got two new teams,
are the Wars the Warriors and the Bulldogs and we
really don't know what to expect from them. On paper,
they that doesn't look that bad, but you can't go
away from the Sharks and the Broncos absolutely stacked. My
(37:48):
favorite team or my team, the Eels, and my favorite
players on that team, Aby Church, and we'll be talking
about them a little We'll talking about nrl W a
little bit more comprehensively next week, see their first games
and we'll talk about it a little bit more. I'm
hoping gets involved as well. And let's wrap up with
(38:12):
a little bit of Super League and it's getting interesting
in England. Saint Helen's fifty eight, Salford zero and Sulfur
just goes from bad worse Warrington, Big Sam's team twenty
four FC and that's John cart Right's team ten, hll
KR thirty four, Trinity ten, Wigan twenty six, Castleford twenty.
(38:39):
They won on one last minute, last set, the last
set the last minute, scored a try and won the game.
And I'd say Castle for probably with a better team
for about seventy eight minutes. And that's the way it
goes in England, and that's what we can do. Leeds
(39:01):
forty eight, the Lee Leopards, the team with the uglis
jersey in the world and the Pots team thirty and
Brad Arthur should be somewhere in Sydney or Queensland, not
in England, because he's done a marldless marvelous job in
(39:22):
marless job in England, the table, the top six, a
whole KR thirty coach Willie Peters. He should be somewhere
in Australia coaching because he's too good for England. He's
picked up a roster a couple of years ago which
was poor and he's slowly making them into a superpower.
(39:42):
Wigan twenty six Leeds again, that's Brad Arthur's team, twenty
two Lee Leopards twenty one Saint Helen's having a poor
season for their for that club and they're looking to
shed ten to twelve players for next year. Twenty Hull
(40:03):
Left c which is John Cartwright's team and last year
they didn't perform very well, but he's got him into
their six at seventeen. And from that of interest, Big
Sammy's team Warrington. They're eighth on fourteen and I think
Sammy's again learning to be an NRL coach because last
(40:24):
year they're flying, they top top three, and this year
they've come down with some like some concerns. But I'm
sure he will get over, he will become a better
coach and we'll see Big Sammy in Australia somewhere, and
that's it. I hope I didn't bore us too much.
Is the first time I did this solo, and I'm
(40:47):
very uncomfortable. I'm more sideline. I I missed Big Nicol
and the Queensland Correspondent t they forget Thursday after Origin.
Well we'll get together again, dissect the Origin game and
we'll have our thoughts about Origin. I hope I didn't
(41:11):
bore you, and happy rugby league from me. Good Bye bye,
