We discuss the importance of being present in the moment and enjoying the journey of life. It's crucial to focus on self-awareness and growth to become the person we want to be, rather than solely focusing on reaching a destination. Societal pressure can make it difficult to accept that we are not yet who we have the potential to be, but it takes time and awareness to reach our full potential.

This is amazing media production. Thisepisode of the Quick Playing Small podcast is

(00:23):
brought to you by I Quit PlayingSmall dot com, where you can get
your copy of the quip Playing SmallCompanion book to this pot It's filled with
daily inspiration you didn't know you needed. Hello, most awesome one. I'm
a Yanna Angel and you are listeningto the Quick Playing Small podcast your space

(00:45):
for inspired thinking, encouragement and goodness. All right, now that we're feeling
good, doing good, let's goahead and dive into our bit of inspiration
for the day. It takes awise person to realize that they are not

(01:06):
yet who they have the potential tobe. When you're young, it's not
such a hard thing to accept. However, as you get older, you
feel this societal pressure like you shouldhave everything figured out. You feel like
there are goals you should have met, people you should know in places you
should have seen already. The truthis that despite your place in life,

(01:33):
most people feel this way because lifeis a journey and it's not a destination.
So we're trained to be looking forthis destination, but in reality,
we are supposed to just be livingand allowing the moments to create the memories
and all of those things and justaccompany us on this journey rather than being

(01:57):
so focused on this destiny. I'vebeen hearing a lot of commentary, and
I'm saying commentary just like bits andpieces from here and there of people lately
just talking about being president in themoments more. I know quite a few
of my friends have said that tome, that they want to be more
president in the moment, and Ihave said that to myself. And also

(02:21):
just understanding that where you are rightnow is a part of your journey,
and where you are right now youwill never be again. And so take
it all in, Absorb it,all the sites, the sounds, the
connections, everything about it. Idon't even know what else. It's just
all the things that encompass the momentsin time that you are blessed with right

(02:45):
now. Take it all in becausethe reality is that it takes time,
awareness, growth, all of thesethings to identify the type of person that
you want to be. So bringingin all these external elements as well as
and I don't when I say externalelements, I don't mean like taking in

(03:07):
that everything that everybody else is puttingon you. I mean external like what's
happening around you. Taking in allthose external elements, sometimes it just helps
to nourish or feed you in waysthat you didn't even expect. So the
reality is, let me just readwhat I wrote initially, and then I'll
give you my off the RIF thoughts. The reality is that it takes time

(03:30):
and awareness and growth to identify thetype of person that you want to be.
Let alone actually go through the stepsnecessary to become that person. Take
your time and let your life belived. Oooh so funny that I said
that here in this writing, andI also said that today earlier as I

(03:53):
ended a conversation that I was recordingwith a guest, take your time.
And we're so in a rush.So it's just like, this is another
place, another destination we're trying toget to. But what do we remember
from our journey along the way.Are we taking the time to soak those

(04:15):
things in, to really pay attentionto how we feel, how other people
feel around us, how we're makingthem feel. That kind of stuff is
important. So I hope that wejust learn to take our time more.
Yeah, that's my final thought.I like to keep these short and sweet,
and I hope you appreciate that becauseI know while you're out here trying
to take your time, your timeis also valuable. So thank you so

(04:39):
much for spending your time with metoday. I appreciate you. I'm sending
you big love, big hugs, and I appreciate you until next time.
