Speaker 2 (01:11):
Hey, everybody, it's Heather Lena. Welcome to Radiance Spirits Rising.
This week, our topic is something that I was drawn
to discuss. It is cancelias. It can be a difficult
topic for people, including myself, so it's going to be
(01:32):
interesting how this goes. So the first thing I'm going
to say is, as we're going through this, don't forget
to give me a call on the phone phone number
that's on that you can see on the bottom right
hand side, or you can send your comments because I'm
interested as we go through this process what your comments
and concerns are and if you have any questions. Now,
(01:54):
before we begin, I am going to set our intention
for this, so let's shut our eyes.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
And I'm actually going.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
To do it with you because I'm feeling like I'm
going to need it today too. And we are going
to focus on our heart space and light it up,
taking deep breaths in and out, in and out, wood,
(02:26):
more deep breath in and out, okay, And then once
that light chakra is lit, I want to download us
with the knowledge, feeling and knowing first of all Creator's
definition of addiction, and Creator's definition of coping, and Creator's
(02:47):
definition of judgment. So let's download us all with that
feeling and knowledging, knowing of what those words the universe
actually believes them to mean. And then we're going to
download with the knowledge feeling knowing that we do not
need to judge ourselves in our lives, and how to
(03:11):
live our lives without judging ourselves and ultimately others as
we go through this topic today. And then once it's
your heart space is lit up and you have accepted
those downloads, let's move it into from your heart space
into your heart chakra and then up and down through upward,
(03:36):
through the throat, through the third eye, and through the
crown and downward through the solar plexus, the sacral and
the root chakra. And I'm also feeling let's download ourselves
with the knowledge, feeling and knowing that there is no
such thing as perfect or perfection. So let's download ourselves
(03:59):
with that today too. Okay, taking ady with another deep
breath in and out, and when you're ready, go ahead
and open your eyes for me.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
All right, So we.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Downloaded ourselves with the Creator's definition of addiction, which is
actually what our topic is today. So this is a
tough topic for many, many people. Whether you have struggled
with addiction, whether you have family or friends that have
struggled with addiction, however it has affected your life. Many
(04:34):
of us, most of us, have been affected by addiction. Now,
if I were to say everyone has an addiction to something,
how many of you cringe? How many of you think,
I don't have an addiction to anything. I don't drink,
I don't smoke, I don't do illegal drugs. You know
(04:55):
I'm not into sex trafficking. I don't have addiction, right,
And how many of you become defensive over when I
say that? Now, if I were to say all of
us have some type of coping skill that we use
in order to move through our life. Does that change
(05:19):
how you feel about that? Can you look at yourself
and say, well, yeah, I have coping mechanisms that I use,
but are they really addictions? So my answer to that
is yes, addiction. Another word for addiction would be coping.
(05:43):
And I have an addiction or coping when it comes
to sugar, when it comes to shopping. Okay, so caffeine.
One of my addictions used to be caffeine. I couldn't
function in the morning without my diet coke. And we've
talked about this on that podcast. We've talked about how
(06:04):
it was a not only was it an addiction for me,
but it was a stature thing for me. My diet
copes were it was a way for me to fit
in with the narrative of everybody else. Right, So, think
about what coping skills or mechanisms do you use when
you're stressed, when you need a break? What do you use?
(06:26):
What do you do? What do you what do you
turn to to cope with things that feel like they
are spiraling out of your control?
Speaker 3 (06:37):
So that's what we're going to talk about today.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Okay, Sometimes the things that we use to cope are
effective most of the times. They may be effective, sometimes
they're not. But either way, are there other things that
you could turn to or do other than just turning
to your coping mechanismisms or mechanisms you can be hearing
(07:00):
me screw that up several times a day, or your
addictions in order to not have to use them anymore,
which is ultimately what energy healing is about, right, So
how do we release the things that are causing us
negativity and causing us to use the coping skills so
(07:21):
that we don't need those anymore. It's all about not
using them. It's about not needing them anymore. And that's
where we're going with today. So some examples of what
could be an addiction. It could be food shopping that
I mentioned sugar and sweet sugar. Sweets and shopping are
(07:41):
to a mind, social media, toxic relationships. Have you ever
thought of a toxic relationship as an addiction? Have you
ever thought of a relationship as being addictioned? Are you
addicted to or do you? Is one of your coping
mechanisms having to have a significant other person in your life?
(08:02):
Can you be by yourself or do you require somebody
else in it helping you. And if you need somebody
else and you don't have that, what are you turning
to in order to make up that emptiness that you're
feeling inside or the coping right? Workaholism? Yes, that is
a word. It may be made up, but it's a word.
(08:23):
Are you a workaholic? Do you just focus on work?
It's about filling a void. So ultimately, addiction or coping
is about filling a void in you. Could it be
a wound that needs to be healed, absolutely.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
And so we're going to talk about that. We're going
to talk about.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
What it is, give some examples, We're going to talk
a little bit about things that you can use. I
feel like I have a cat hair on my face
and we're going to move through this. And like I said,
I would love to have people call in or comment
to me and let me know what are you dealing with?
What are you coping with right now? And let's talk
about what we can do for you. So, ultimately, addiction
(09:04):
is a coping mechanism. It is a way that the
mind and body attempts to deal with emotional, psychological, or
physical pain. It can be used to try to give
somebody a positive view of themselves, or try to fix
it or forget about it. Right, how many times do
we use it as a temporary escape from things that
(09:27):
we're trying to forget about. Right, So, if I'm shopping
and I'm spending a lot of money, I'm going to
be so totally over the moon about looking at this
stuff and doing all this right. And I'm going to
be so focused on this that it's going to take
my mind away from it. But then when I get
done shopping, then what happens. I look at it and think, Wow,
I really just spend a whole lot of money that
I probably didn't have or needed to spend.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
So then that causes me stress. So then what happens.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
It's a circle, is a It's a wheel that just
keeps right on turning, right on turning, right on turning.
And it doesn't matter whether it's a tokics, a relationship,
whether you just bury yourself in work, it's it's a
constant thing, right, constant constant. So if this can also
be triggered by unresolved trauma in past lives or this life,
(10:18):
so we're going to start talking about this life as first, Right,
So if you see someone, let me see, how can
I say this? If someone grew up in a house
where there was an alcoholic and they are they become
(10:40):
an alcohoholic themselves, what are they really doing now? They
may say, well, you know, I'm just like my father
and he was an alcoholic, so I'm an alcoholic. But really,
what is it that they are doing? They are not
dealing with unhealed trauma. So when you're looking at your
coping skills as yourself, what is the unhealed trauma that
(11:04):
I'm trying to avoid or that I'm not dealing with
or that I'm trying to cope with. So think about
that for a minute, stop and think about in one
of your coping just pick one of a coping mechanism
that you have. You may have one, you may have multiple,
and think about what really triggers that. Are there many
(11:27):
things that trigger that or is there just one thing
that triggers it? And is it involved, does it involve guilt?
Does it have an undercurrent of guilt or anger or anxiety?
If that's the case, that all of that needs to
be healed on the emotional spiritual level, and what will
(11:51):
happen is as we work on that and as you
do the healing, it'll actually transform your physical body as well.
Because remember are all three linked, So your physical, your
emotional slash, mental and spiritual beings beings all have to
be in line and balanced in order for you to
(12:11):
function properly. And if one is off balance, you're going
to be off balance in one or the other areas
and it's going to come out in one of the
other areas. So it's about it's not healing. Addiction is
not just about breaking a habit. We have to know
why the habit exists. So why do we become addicted
(12:36):
or why do we turn to coping skills? It is
because it is many times for clients that I have
worked with on this, it provides them safety. It provides
them a safety net where they can protect themselves. And
I'm about to cry, So that's high truth. It provides safety.
(12:58):
And so if you have suffered loss, if you have
suffered rejection, if you have suffered abandonment, any of that,
it's going to come back out as an addiction, something
that you are trying to keep yourself safe, something that
when you are doing it, it's all about you and
(13:21):
you focusing on anything, but what is causing that trauma?
So let's think about past life issues. So can we actually.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
Have or need.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Or have addictions from past life issues? The answer to
that question is yes.
Speaker 3 (13:44):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
Now, sometimes it may be a karmic lesson. Many times,
when something happens to me with another person, the first
thing I do is I go up and I check
to see if I've had any past lives with this person.
Ninety nine percent of the time I do. Okay, But
(14:09):
if when you go into a session with me, many
times we go in and we remove olth s, voules, commitments, contracts,
curses that have been made or placed not in this lifetime,
but many lifetimes before that, and that has carried down
and created trauma. So remember when we talked about the
body being being in a computer, how your soul is
(14:31):
a cloud and it accepts all this information and then
the DNA takes it in and rewrite your code.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
Remember we talked about that.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
So addiction can be triggered by past lives and ancestral trauma.
All right, So if you're on like I have this
habit and I don't know why I have this habit,
and it's really annoying, but I can't seem to get
rid of it, or I have this coping mechanism and
(15:03):
I don't know why it's there. Then we need to
look at healing the ancestral and the past life issues.
So how do you recognize coping or addiction patterns? Big
If you're coping, and if you're coping mechanisms don't fall
into what is normally talked about for addiction slash coping,
(15:27):
then you may not even realize that you have them
or that you're using them. So start asking yourself a question.
So if you get triggered or something upsets you, that's
going to be your first clue that this is something
that needs to be looked at. So when we come back,
I'm going to go into recognizing addiction patterns.
Speaker 3 (15:50):
I'll talk to you in a minute. Bye.
Speaker 4 (15:54):

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Welcome back to Radiant Spirits Rising with Heatherlina. Today we
are talking about a dig and or coping right which
I link both of those in the same category. Before
the break, I was getting into the recognizing of addiction patterns,
and I had mentioned that sometimes people don't even realize
that they have an addiction or that they are having
(18:17):
a trigger or a mechanism that is requiring coping. And
an example that I use in my world was when
I worked out at the prison, I had a clerical
staff member, got along with her really well, and I
wasn't having a bad day at all, and I left
went and thought, you know what McDonald sounds really good,
So I'm gonna go get a cheeseburger. When I got
(18:40):
the cheeseburger, came back, and when I came back, she
looked at me and she goes, well, I didn't realize
you were having such a bad day. And I was like, well,
I'm not having a bad day. Why she goes, well, normally,
when you're having a bad day, you go get a
McDonald's cheeseburger.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
And I thought about that and I was like, you know,
she's right.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Normally, if I'm having a bad day, I go get
a diet coke and a quarter Founder with cheese, because again,
I use food as one of my coping skills. So
think about that. Do you have like a thing that
you do that you don't even realize that you're doing.
And so that made me stop and think about, you know,
(19:20):
why would I be triggered to go get this today
if I wasn't having such a bad day. So ask
yourself if you are being triggered, or you get angry,
or you have like all of a sudden you're like, oh, wow,
that just doesn't feel right. Your intuitions like, yeah, that
feels off. Stop and ask yourself, why are you avoiding
(19:41):
what is causing that trigger and knows what is causing
that trigger. But what does that trigger make you want
to do? Does it make you want, you know, to
go smoke a cigarette? Does it make you to want
to stuff a cookie down your face?
Speaker 3 (19:53):
That would be me. Does it make you want to
go spend money? What does it do? Okay?
Speaker 2 (20:01):
And then how do you feel before and after? Think
about that, is this behavior controlling my actions? I can
honestly say for me, yes, mine does, and I'm still
working through it. So have I tried to stop and
find it difficult? There's your key. If you have tried
to stop and it is difficult for you to stop,
(20:23):
then there is healing work that needs to be done.
So let's get that healing done and get it cleared out,
because then you're not going to have to worry about
whether or not you need that coping mechanism or that
addiction at all. And then does this have it interfere
with my relationships, work or health? So you might say, okay, well,
(20:44):
social media isn't really an addiction, but it is, And
think about how does it affect any relationships you may have,
How does it affect work? How does it affect your
health because it actually really does all of those things
do well. We talked a little bit about the connection
(21:04):
between the physical, the mental, emotional, and the spiritual, and
the connection runs. So I've got to hear some notes
about certain organs in the body that can correlate with
emotional energy. So the liver holds on to anger and frustration.
Your kidneys hold on to regret. So if you have
(21:26):
regret and resentment and you're having kidney problems, come see me.
We need to work on getting rid of that regret
and that resentment. So that's why. So in anger and frustration,
that's why alcohol addiction awfully can often connects to a
two me try that again often connects to unsolved rage. Okay,
the lung store grief, and that's one of the things
(21:49):
that makes smoking common and common for those that struggle
with loss. The stomach and the intestines are linked to
anxiety and fear, so that contributes to foods and disordered eating,
which I can tell you when I am stressed, Like,
if I have fear and anxiety, the first thing I
want to do is stuff a cookie in my mouth.
(22:10):
I don't know about you, but this is my world,
so I will fully admit that I have coping skills
that may or may not be healthy for me, and
it's okay because I am working through those. But I
would challenge all of you that are watching this today,
and we'll be watching this today, you know what, put
yourself first. Let's start working on these coping mechanisms and
(22:32):
releasing them so that you aren't triggered, so you're not
having to use them or rely on them. So some
natural healing modalities for addiction recovery. So first of all
is meditation and mindset.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
All right.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
Meditation is one of the best tools for recovery. And
again we've talked about meditation is not necessarily sitting on
the floor with your legs crossed going like this. It
is a about balancing yourself and allowing yourself time to
think through, calm, rejuvenate, all right. So, whether it's listening
(23:12):
to music, whether it's go sitting by a tree and
you know, reading a book, whatever your meditation is, it's
a great way to help you. So if you feel
like you need a coping mechanism, find a different way.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
To make that an outlet.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
Make a meditation an outlet, which is a much better
way because it will also help you give clarity as
to what the issue is, why it's bothering you, which journaling,
which we're going to cover a little bit more in
a minute, but write all of this down so that
you know you know what it is, You know what
it is that you're dealing with or what you're looking at.
Right you can just stop and take a deep breath
(23:52):
in and out a couple of times, like we do
at the start of all of this, and just visualize
your energy being a golden light.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
Or you know what.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
Do what we do, which is open up your heart space,
let it brighten up, and let it fill your entire body.
That's another way to do it.
Speaker 3 (24:17):
Energy healing and reiki.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
And so anytime you have a coping mechanism that you're
using and which therefore is linked to a trauma and
healed wound, something that is creating you the need to
use that coping mechanism, belief work, energy healing and reyki
are a great way to work on that.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
Now, when we.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
Talk about energy healing, what we do is we go
in and we find out what is the root cause
of that coping mechanism being needed, and we're going to
use I'm going to use because I feel like this
needs to be used. So we are going to deal
with an alcoholic parent, a child of an alcoholic parent,
(25:08):
and so the trauma comes from the parent, right and alcohol.
And when I say to you this is a very
generic example, it is because the trauma created from this
could be different. Canon is different for each person based
on their past lives, based on their current life, based
(25:30):
on where they are at. However, as a generic we
would go in and I would find out, you know,
what are the emotions that are linked to this? Is
their anger? Is their resentment? Is there fear that this
person would have to turn out to be like the
alcohol parent? Or is there fear that if they don't
(25:52):
they won't be accepted by the alcohol parent. All of
these are variables that create the trauma that this person
and has that the trauma that they are trying to
cope with.
Speaker 3 (26:04):
So what we do is go.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
In and we really just release all of those and
we release and download the person. So, if the person
is afraid of becoming like their father, right, I'm going
to ask them what keeps them safe about feeling like
the fear of Why is keeping them safe with the
fear the fear of feeling that. And if they say
(26:26):
to me, well, the fear is that I will, you know,
not be able to have a functional life, then we're
going to go in and where you are going to
release that fear. And we would download them with a knowledge, feeling,
knowing of what it's like to live their life without
fear or anxiety of having to be an alcoholic, downloading
(26:48):
them with the knowledge, feeling, knowing of what it's like
to live their life the way they are supposed to
and without the fear of being judged by others. Right,
because how many times so we're afraid of being fear
do we fear of being.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
Judged by others?
Speaker 2 (27:06):
And so basically, as we're releasing the stuff that needs
that is causing the trauma, we are downloading them with
the knowledge, feeling and knowing of what it's like to
not have those feelings to work without them, allowing the
body to know what it's like to work without them.
And honestly, I do a lot of work on physical
(27:27):
bodies that require adjustments and things alchemized because they are
so used to being in that state that they that
the body has to be adjusted for that. So it's
really It's really impressive and exciting to go through this
process because you know what, once it's released and it's gone,
(27:52):
you don't worry about it anymore, and it just lightens
your load. I can just see, I get this visual
of your life of somebody just lifting up this off
your shoulders. Right, So if somebody needed that visual today,
this would be like lifting the weight off your shoulders.
So let's talk about crystals. Crystals are also a great
(28:13):
way to help heal. Now I've talked a little bit
about crystals. Before crystals, I'll have healing energy, but they
could all heal different things. And so how do they
aid in addiction recovery? Because addiction or coping cut stems
from emotional pain, trauma, or imbalance. The crystals can help
(28:35):
address these root causes by releasing it, alchemizing it, downloading
you with the positive energy from them, helping you reconnect
with your true self. And so here's a couple of
crystals that would be good.
Speaker 3 (28:51):
Amethyst.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
It's really good for healing the mind and the spirit.
And amethyst is an all around healer. Okay, it is
like if you're into the herbal world, it is the
lavender of the crystal world rose quartz, it is the
heart crystal. Rose Quartz is the heart crystal, and so
it brings and helps you heal emotional pain, all right.
(29:15):
It also helps heal the heart. Carnelian boosting confidence and energy,
and Carnelion also helps you create. It's a create stone,
so you can actually use it to help create the
life that you want after addiction, during addiction, or even
before addiction starts. Black tormaline protection and grounding. Grounding is
(29:41):
really really important and we have.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
To all be grounded.
Speaker 2 (29:45):
And many times when I work with clients that are
struggling with addiction, they are extremely ungrounded. They are just
totally unbalanced and extremely ungrounded. And so the first thing
I do is I go in and work on grounding them,
and you know what, it actually helps them during the sessions.
(30:06):
Scylenite clears energy blockages and promotes inner piece and I
love sylnite. Sylenite, I love it. It's one of my
crystals of choice. It is really good at cleaning and
clearing and charging other crystals. So if you don't clean
and charge your crystals, get some cylanite. It'll actually work well.
Lapis lazuli promotes emotional honesty and self expression, and lapis
(30:31):
is also a great stone to help with any psychic hooks.
So all right, we are going to go ahead on
a commercial break. We'll be right back.
Speaker 4 (30:41):

Welcome back to Radiance Spirits Rising with Heather Lina. Today
we are talking about addiction and coping, which really for
me is a struggle for me because I am still
struggling with coping skills under certain things, which is probably
the reason why I got told I needed to talk
about this today. It's amazing how the universe and your
(33:02):
spirit team works. So we were talking about Lapis last
Live before the Break and Lapis I mentioned psychic cooks.
And when it comes to coping an addiction, many times
we have people around us that don't understand where we're at,
and they will make comments to us that can hook
(33:23):
into us. It's literally like sending an energetic cook into
somebody aka is psychic cook. And so Lapis is a
really good way to stop and break psychic cooks. And
when you're working with coping an addiction, many times we
have difficulty when people when we feel like people are
judging us or throwing nasty comments at us because of
(33:48):
where we are at in our process, right, So Lapis
is a good way to help release that release that
And when I know I'm going into a situation where
I'm going to have people throwing psychic cooks or verbal
assaults at me, I will actually put a Lapis on
and use it. I literally when I feel it, when
(34:10):
I feel them make a comment like that, I literally
will just wipe it away.
Speaker 3 (34:13):
And so when you're.
Speaker 2 (34:15):
Working with addictions at Lapis is actually one of the
ones that I really really would recommend because as that
coping comes in too, you can also use it to
help manifest and release that coping mechanism that's wanting to
come up and move forward in you. And that literally
just came popped into my head, so I'm going to
say it now.
Speaker 3 (34:35):
Remember crystals.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
You can carry them, you can wear them, you can
meditate with them, you can create grids with them. My
house is gridded with crystal energy, so you can depending
on the crystal, you may be able to put them
in or around water and drink the energy or bathe
in the energy. So they are really all around something useful.
(35:01):
So let's talk about physical detox. So the one thing
that I recommend is detox baths. And the way I
do my detox baths is I do a cup of
Epps and salts, a half a cup of baking soda,
and two or three drops of lavender in a bathtub
and I soak in it for ten to fifteen minutes.
(35:22):
What that does is it takes away a lot of
the negative energy, breaks it down, detox is your body
and then just sends it out with the water. Right,
if you don't have a bathtub, you can always do
a shower, just picturing the water turning to energy.
Speaker 3 (35:38):
And hitting you. So that's one way to do it.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
Another way I just mentioned is nature. Go out to nature,
walk a walk on a trail, sit by a tree,
go out on your front porch and just enjoy the
sunshine or you know, look at the sunshine, which is
what I do a lot in the summertime. I go
out on my front porch and just enjoy, you know,
watching the birds. Sound therapy, so you can take time
(36:02):
to listen to music that makes you happy and brings
you joy. There is also music out there that can
that is played to a certain mega hurtz for.
Speaker 3 (36:12):
Depending on what you want to do.
Speaker 2 (36:13):
If you want to release anger, if you want to
release you know, fear, whatever it is, you could actually
find music based on the megahurts that you're needing and
play that to help as well. Movement therapy, get up
and dance. I've mentioned several times that my form of
meditation is walking and listening to music on my iPod.
(36:35):
Just the movement gets me, gets my stagnant energy energy moving,
And if I'm really stressed, I will try that before
really before.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
I try stuff cookie down my face.
Speaker 2 (36:44):
Journaling writing down thoughts and emotions that help so that
it helps process and release them. And honestly, when clients
come to me, I really do recommend that they journal
so that and bring the journal with them so that
we have a good base of what we're looking at.
We know where to go with the healing and then
breath work of course, you know, just breathing in and out.
Speaker 3 (37:06):
All right.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
So let's talk about community, all right. So having a
community around you is very important. But what should that
community actually be. It should be people that are supportive
of you and someone that you can be accountable to,
but that don't impede your progress with judgment.
Speaker 3 (37:32):
So what does that mean.
Speaker 2 (37:33):
That means that you need a group of people around
you that literally understand and are willing to help you
with it without you know, throwing psychic cooks at you,
without making snide comments to you. So if you feel
like a family, a friend, somebody is not good in
(37:55):
your community when you are trying to release and get
rid of the addiction, then that's your intuition telling you
that they're not good for you, and it's okay for
you to put up boundaries with them, all right. Many
times I work with people who struggle because they have
these issues going on, and then but they have family
(38:17):
that are like, well, you're just crazy. Right. So if
I'm working with somebody who has intuitive abilities and they're like,
you know, well I feel like I have them, but
you know, my family has told me that I'm crazy
and that I don't know what I'm doing, then those
are not the community you.
Speaker 3 (38:32):
Need to be around.
Speaker 2 (38:34):
Same thing for addiction. If they are not supportive of
you and are able to help you without being judgmental,
then that is not the community you need to be around,
and so you need one with shared experiences. That's why
AA works because the people in AA all have shared experiences.
(38:56):
They understand even though they may not all have the
same experience, they have enough that they can understand each
other and compassionate support. Right. So, whether it's a therapist,
whether it's a healer, a healing community, So something like
that would be great for someone who is working through
(39:18):
their addiction because it's a support group that is non judgmental.
And I just keep hearing must be non judgmental. So
whoever's listening to this today, the messages you need somebody
that's non judgmental, and I am not non judgmental.
Speaker 3 (39:37):
Okay, if you come to me and say.
Speaker 2 (39:40):
I've got this issue, I'm not judging you, because you
know what, I have my own issues and.
Speaker 3 (39:45):
I get it. I get it. So let's go.
Speaker 2 (39:49):
Let's go to work, right, and my Transformational Community the
one that I will be talking again about at the
end of this podcast. They're a great support groups. They
do not they do not dog on each other. They
give each other support and we actually give it good
advice to people and you know, we allow people to
(40:11):
talk and be themselves. So if you're looking for a
community to join to help be to help be successful
in your addiction journey, you know what, let's join my
Transformational Community. It's something like that that you're going to need.
And again, I feel like there's somebody out there that
is really struggling with this and are needing.
Speaker 3 (40:32):
Some information.
Speaker 2 (40:33):
So if this is ringing true, remember I have a
thirty minute introduction that we can sit down and talk
about a plan for you. And as I go into that,
we're going to talk about creating a long term healing plan.
So healing from addiction takes time, right, and it can
(40:55):
be continue to be a struggle. So even though I
am off my diet I have been for going on
two years, every once in a while I get the
feeling of, you know, I really could use a diet
coke today, but I don't act on it. And why
is that? It is because emotionally I realize that it's
(41:17):
really not a coping mechanism for me, and I am
able to just say, you know what, yeah, I don't
need that, even though it still flits through my mind.
Speaker 3 (41:26):
And so this is what happens with.
Speaker 2 (41:30):
Addiction, all right, is something pops into your head, triggers it,
and then you're like, oh, I need to act on that.
But the healing does is it allows you to say, no,
I don't need to act on that because I don't
need that. And this is especially important with alcohol and drugs, right,
(41:50):
So anything with alcohol has a spirit attached to it.
Speaker 3 (41:57):
So if you are are say.
Speaker 2 (42:01):
Your favorite drink of choice is bourbon, there is a
spirit that is linked to that. And so when I
am working with those that have addiction to alcohol, I
will ask them what their drink of choice was is,
and I will go in and release all of the
spirits that are around them, like actual spirits around them
(42:23):
that are linked to that alcohol. And not only will
I cut them energetically cut them from all alcohol, I
specifically cut them from their alcohol of choice. Same thing
with drugs. So drugs also have spirits linked to them,
and we have to cut you not only from all
(42:45):
of the illegal drugs, but we specifically have to cut
you from your drug of choice. And by doing that,
what it does is it releases the longing of it
and it also releases the attachments you have to it,
because ultimately we can form attachments to our addictions and
that is a problem. That is a problem. So daily
(43:11):
healing practices, let me go back to that. So start
the day with meditation or grounding exercises, and we're going
to incorporate affirmations for healing and empowerment. So remember I've
got the card decks. You can create your own whatever
it is that you need to do in order to
(43:31):
get through your day and start your healing journey. Practice gratitude.
I am telling you, gratitude is huge when it comes
to addiction and healing. And you know what, if you
have a day where something slips and you do something
that you were like, oh, I should not have done that,
I shouldn't have taken that drink. Do not beat yourself
(43:55):
up over it, because again, there is no such thing
is perfect, right, and having a small slip up and
having four days of no slip ups is great.
Speaker 3 (44:10):
Right. Just because you've had.
Speaker 2 (44:12):
This one slip up does not mean that you need
that you have to start from square one, because you're
not starting from square one. All you're doing is releasing
that and you're moving forward. And I just I keep
getting the feeling that there is there are people watching
this that are struggling with this, and it is important
(44:37):
for you to understand that.
Speaker 3 (44:39):
You're not the only one. You're not the you're not
the only one.
Speaker 2 (44:44):
Okay, yeah, I just it's like I don't know, hold on,
and then I'm being told to let everybody know that
the worst thing you can do is be judgmental to
yourself or someone else. So you know what, everybody struggles
(45:08):
in something in their life. No one has a quote
unquote perfect life because perfect life does not exist. So
don't do not allow yourself to be to take in
the judgment of other people because they don't know and
they don't understand what you're going through. And remember that
(45:30):
healing begins with yourself. So if you're not ready to
do this for yourself, then you're not ready to do it.
If you're trying to do it for specifically someone else
to make someone else happy, then you're not doing it
for the right reason, because it has to be about
you and it has to be for you. So all right,
(45:53):
we're going to take a quick break. When I come back,
we're going to finalize this podcast for the rest of
the day.
Speaker 3 (45:58):
See as soon.
Speaker 4 (46:00):

Speaker 2 (48:01):
Welcome back to Radiance Spirits Rising with Heather Lena. So
today we've been talking about the subjects of addiction and coping,
which for me is a subject that I'm still working
on and it's sometimes difficult for me to deal with.
So I want everybody to just stop for a minute
and think about what it is in your life that
(48:22):
is causing you to turn to coping mechanisms or and
or addiction. Just write down one thing that you think
falls into this category. For me, mine is stress, dealing
(48:44):
with stress because I'm still dealing through the not perfect
thing right because I've always been a perfectionist. So mine
is stress, one of them. And so think about what
it is you use to cope with When a mine
is food, one of mine is shopping. But what are yours?
Speaker 3 (49:11):
And then how often does it come up mine?
Speaker 2 (49:15):
Sometimes daily, sometimes hourly, depending on what happens, right, But
how often do you feel like you need a coping mechanism?
And then look at that coping mechanism and ask yourself,
has this coping mechanism actually turned into an addiction, meaning
(49:41):
do you feel like you have to have this coping addiction,
this coping mechanism with you or do it every day?
And is it because you have become addicted or is
it because you have you're just not coping with what
whatever it is that is causing you to use that
(50:02):
coping ability. So with me, mineus sugar right, and mine
is because I am really not I'm really not doing
what I need to be doing. So it's causing me stress,
which makes me want to eat cookies every day. And honestly,
(50:22):
when you look at that, can you honestly look at
that and say that this is an issue that you
need to have resolved and healed And is this something
that you want to work on? Is it affecting your health?
Is it affecting your emotional wellbeing? Is it affecting your
(50:43):
physical well being? And is it affecting your spiritual wellbeing?
So if you wrote yes or had an answer to
any of that, then you know what, Let's start working
on it. Book your appointment with me, let's do that
free consultation and start working on it. Because you are
the most important person to you and you need to
(51:06):
put yourself first. And if you are struggling with an
addiction or a coping mechanism that you and you're struggling
to not be able to just release it and get
rid of it, then there's something deeper inside that is
causing you not to be able to release it, and
I would be happy and would love to help you
(51:27):
heal that. All right, let's go to our PowerPoint. All right,
So speaking of that, our affirmation part of the week
is today I choose to release anything that stops my growth.
And really, addiction and coping mechanisms actually do stop your growth,
because if you are not dealing with the traumas in
(51:48):
your life, then you are not healing and you are
not growing. And so we want to release anything that
stops our growth. And I'm telling you, guys works. Natural
healing works. Next slide. So, our service spotlight for the
week is my addiction Release and Healing session. It is

What it is.
Speaker 2 (52:32):
These are designed to help you release, alchemize, and resolve it.
So addiction is often fueled by deep rooted blocks and
limiting beliefs, and these sessions focus on uncovering and addressing
those underlying causes. And remember this could be past life
issues or issues that have happened in this life as well.
