Speaker 1 (01:57):
We put Allie on the same bucket, friends all around.
Oh my goodness, Oh my gosh. Well, we love to
have you this time of year, specifically because you are
so very much an integral part of what we at
CLW Studios and Radical Joy think whenever we think of Halloween,
spooky season, all the things that go bump in the night,
(02:18):
things we can't explain. We love having you here as
sort of our in house authority and expert on all
things on the other side.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
I love that and it is a joy, a joy,
a joy to help bridge that gap. Absolutely, that is
what I'm here for.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Wonderful. Now, word on the street tells me that you've
got a lot of things going on, especially for spooky season.
So what I would love for you to do is
just make sure our listeners know where they can tune
in to see more of you for the spirit of
the season.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Yes, okay, Well, first and foremost spooky season for me
actually starts in July.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Fantastic, do go on?
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Yes, let me tell you. It is so funny because
literally the moment it hits July fifth, I'm like, okay,
now it's summer weed. We have officially transitioned over to
summer weed. And I troll everyone every year and it's
the funniest thing because they're like, you're out of control.
But I'm like, actually, search the hashtag summer ween and
it is a think.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
I believe it, and I want I want to look
for it now.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
So it feels amazing. It feels so good to be
in the fall season, especially being a fall baby, being
a Scorpio. I don't know, there's something about the fall
that does I feel like I come alive. So in
regards to where to find me, you can find me
on Instagram on at Spooky Melanon Magic, and you can
(03:51):
also email me Bianca at Spooky melonmagic dot com. You
can go to my website Spooky Malmonmagic dot com.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
Yes life, Yes, Yes, Yes.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
And in regards to what is coming up during this season,
the biggest, biggest, biggest, biggest, biggest surprise that I have
for you all is so my dear friend Midge Munster.
She is a genius, a creative, a content creator, she
is spooky, kooky all of the amazing things, and she
(04:24):
had an amazing, amazing, amazing project that I'm beyond honored
to be bought on along with a lot of our
spooky friends. We're also bought on. So there is a
Halloween film coming out very soon. It's gonna be either
this week or next week. We're still in the you know,
(04:45):
in the midst of things, but we are almost done.
So it's gonna be either this week or next week
on Midge Monster's YouTube channel, and you will see yours
truly along with her amazing phenomenal cast mates led by
our fabulous leader Midge monster. But no, honestly, it was
a great time filming over the summer. So that is
(05:07):
something for me. I did not envision being in a
Halloween film anywhere in my Bengo card, and it happened
and it was fabulous and I had a great time.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Yeah too, it just seems like the perfect thing. I
was like, of course it would be in a film.
It's just one of those Yeah. I mean, as dedicated
as you are to this entire genre of living and lifestyle, Yeah,
not sure.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
So I mean that, thank you, and I appreciate that.
That has been the biggest thing that I have worked on.
So oh, super excited for that to come out. Let's
see what else. Oh, last weekend I did my annual
apple and pumpkin picking to bring in the October month
and the fall. I love apple and pumpkin picking. It's
(05:57):
just one of those hobbies that I have. Once the
season starts, I have to have my day at the orchard.
I need my apple sided donuts, I need my actual
apple cider. I need my honey straight from the bees.
Like there's certain things I need. I need my pumpkin beer,
like certain things need to be in place. I need
to get lost in the cornfield, all the things I love. Yeah,
(06:21):
also I have my nails. I don't know if you
can see my nails, but I have.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
Of course, it is a time. I am a hoot
and I am a time. But yes, what you guess and.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
I then and what I'm seeing is a whole lot.
So I'm sure we're getting even more. I'm not here
for all of it, yes, you know, but.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
No, I love, love, love the fall. So next thing
that I do want to do for this season is
probably a couple more investigations this year. And you know,
with just life lifing, I haven't been able to go
on as many investigations as I would like. But now
that things, you know, we're starting to kind of slow down,
or to say, level out in my personal life. Now
(07:07):
I can go back to doing my paranormal life. So yeah,
I'm excited. And of course you know in October what happens,
the veil becomes thinner right between worlds. So this is
the time right now to be you know, those who
really practice and you know, reach out to their ancestors
and you know, any sort of rituals you may be doing.
(07:29):
Last night, right, it was a super full moon last night,
and you know the energy is still potent. Is usually
put in three days before the actual day and three
days after. So this is the time the veil is thin.
We have the full moon energy, we have the fall. Right.
Fall signifies to me, signifies transformation. Right, So think of
(07:50):
the fall leaves. Everything is falling right, We're shedding a
new We're preparing for the darker times, and then we're
gonna blossom again in the spring season. Right now, it's
the time of change, transition, rebirth. That's how I look
at it too. I just look at its rebirth. So
I am excited. I love the fall, like I don't know,
(08:11):
there's something about I just feel alive without Oh my god,
the candles. I have candles everywhere. Last oh side note,
last weekend, I lost my mind at Trader Joe's. Sorry,
I lost my mind at Traded Joe's. I let me
tell you. Pumpkin ravioli, butternut squashed maca chee, everything, pumpkin
(08:37):
pumpkin seeds, but it's like sprinkled with cinnamon. Any pump
pumpkin bread, pumpkin waffles, anything you can imagine. I lost
my mind at Traded Joe's and it was phenomenal.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
I have zero judgment for that. Bring me all of
the gourds. My uh the lady who lives here in
the same building with me, she made us parsnip and
black garlic suit and sprinkled the top with pumpkin seeds.
Those peppy thusts you want to talk about out of
this war or world. And bring me all of the soup,
Bring me all of the soothing, the warm, the cuddly,
(09:12):
the cozy, those rich fabrics, wools and cashmeres and give
me a jaunty hat and a chunky scarf. I am
here for all of this, you know, yes, everything.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
Give it to you like oh I love it. I
love it. And I actually ended up buying pumpkin bisk
as well. And when you said that, I was like,
I bought pumpkin bisk as well as they have this
like autumn harvest, tomato basil that whatever that is. I
don't care. I just bow everything.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
Yes, oh my gosh, but I tell you this much.
I have very little, if any guilt whatsoever spending money
on food because I got a hat at you know,
if I if I go crazy at Tjmax or whatever,
I don't feel awful about it, but I know that
I could have done without it. Food that's necessary. I
got a hat. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
So that was just uh oh, just a beautiful part
again of my October. Another thing I did also last
weekend last week and I had a ball by the way.
Another thing I did last weekend I went to So
I went to Terrytown. Terrytown's in town right next to
Sleepy Hollow in Westchester County, New York. So I was
there and I actually did the Terrytown Music Hall ghost Tour,
(10:33):
which was very rand amazing. Didn't know. I didn't even
realize how old that building was, standing over one hundred years,
like old old old. I had no idea the history
in there. Learning about the ghosts in there, I was like, ooh,
I want to actually contact them to ask them if
I can go back to actually investigate, because it is
it's a time in there. Let me tell you, it
(10:54):
is a time in there. And then after that, I
took myself out to lunch. There's this restaurant called Horse
Feathers in Harrytown and it's like the cutest Halloween vibe.
I had a solo date and it was phenomenal, absolutely yes,
and I took myself out to lunch and it was fabulous.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Yes. Absolutely. Now, for all of our listeners out there,
I just want to make sure that you understand what
we're doing right now is just reveling in the joy
of the season in a time and a place where
you can choose exactly how you want to spend your time.
This is the choice, folks are making. It is not selfish,
(11:37):
It is not anything except just reveling in the fact
that we are here, we are alive, and we have
opportunities to do things that just bring us so much life.
So we're focusing on that. We're back to the real
and we're back to the grunt. No one here is
ignoring it. What we're doing is setting it aside to
make sure that we continue to fuel that joyous fire. Yes,
(12:00):
and then we return to use it to fight whatever's
given folks problems.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
Absolutely, I cannot agree more. And I think that is
the beauty of doing what you love, doing what brings
you joy without any external factors, any noise, any pitch pops,
none of that. What brings you joy is what you
should be doing right now. Of course, you know, everyone,
(12:26):
we're working, We're busy, we have all the things going on.
We're mindful of all that, of course, but those little
moments when you are able to take yourself out, when
you are able to do a little something for your
oh know, whether it's a horror movie, grocery shopping date
with yourself, anything, Please do that, Please please please do that,
(12:46):
because again, the world that we live in, especially during
this time that we're in right now, is harsh. It
is system overloaded, overstimulated. Use this, use that, this, that
all of the things right, And I feel like it
is very important that we need to find what grounds
(13:06):
us and what balances us. And I feel like we
may have discussed this in a previous episode, but just
being mindful of grounding yourself, right, it's meditation, honestly, a nap, right,
putting on a horror actually mine, I will put on
a horror, a good old horror movie. My PHONEO is
on Do not Disturb, and I that's it. That's it.
(13:27):
Sometimes I just need to disconnect. I need to dissociate.
And that is okay. Why because that's what refuels me,
recharges me. Because next day, I know, when I wake up,
it's a whole new battle, just a different day. Right, Yes,
So for all of you that are listening, whatever it
is that you do that you enjoy doing, do that,
and do not let anyone else tell you differently on
(13:48):
howpy man.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
Yeah, Well, it doesn't have to be a huge gesture
either like I don't have time, or I don't have money,
or funds are tired, or what am I gonna do
with the kids or any number of these kind of things.
I promise you I'm not trying to exclude any of
you from any of that. It doesn't have to be
a grand gesture. And what it needs to be is
something that you love intensely. That could be anywhere from
(14:10):
taking a walk and crunching the leaves underfoot to taking
whatever that trip is to see that haunted mansion that
you've wanted to see since you were knee high to
a tea spoon. Great, any and all are wonderful and
work within your means and bounds whatever that means for
you for time and resource, great, all of it.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
Yes, absolutely, there are ways, Like we said, wherever you
are on that totem Pole tax bracket timeframe, there is
something for everybody, even something especial honestly as waken up
ten minutes earlier. Right, then you're normal and literally just
wake up ten minutes earlier and just ground yourself, give
thy yes, fay, some affirmations. Prepare yourself for the day
(14:50):
before you know spouse or child or work or email
or a text message or Instagram or a phone call
or news report or notifications before you even take a
look at that. Right, just take a couple of moments
to give things. I woke up today, I'm here like
(15:11):
I literally took a breath this morning, and I am here.
Ground yourself in that before you start your day. And honestly,
that's something I will say I started doing or doing
again recently, and I say, man, I gotta wake up.
I already wake up early. Man, I gotta wake up
ten minutes earlier. Man. And honestly, it really is like, no,
(15:34):
it's quiet, no one's bothering me. And I really get
to wusaw and then I'm like, all right, cool, Now,
let's get up out of bed. Now, let's open the phone, now,
let's checklifications. It really does make a difference because I'm
able to approach the day now from a more calm
standpoint as opposed to a survival standpoint. Right, survival than
(15:56):
the alarm.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
Goo, the I'm running, I'm panicking, I I've forgotten Where's Lord?
Don't I know the struggle?
Speaker 2 (16:08):
Right, So instead of storing the day from survival, right
the moment that long goes off, we're like, no.
Speaker 1 (16:15):
No, yes, no, agree. Difference the fact that you gave
me such a long list of things that are literally
yanking at our attention from the moment we get perpendicular
to the floor. Hello, that laundry list was as long
as my arm, And I'm like, I had not thought
about that, but it is. It is a tremendous number
(16:37):
of stimuli. It's crazy.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
It's literally a CBS receipt of things. Some moment we
wake up like.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
Yeah, and the coupons and that only one i'm's worth anything,
And it ain't good until a week is later.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
Yes, it was only one good one. I think you
good people, but nonetheless so accurate.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
And I think I want the way you said that too.
You're like, you know, sometimes you can prepare for the
day the next day the night before. I do that
a little bit, and it puts everything on such a
great level. Also, certain things that I do in the morning,
I'll make the bed, I will fold the pajamas, or
I'll do whatever it is to get myself like at
(17:18):
back to baseline. Yes, and then I'm ready to attack,
like my meditation, my journal, my language study, like whatever
it is that I do before the sun comes up
or before everybody else gets going. The kind of energy
it puts in your account is crazy.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
It's true. It's true, It is so true. And like
you said, doing little things like that night before and
morning of, I promise you makes a difference. It really
makes a difference. And think of it, you know, I
think of us also. It's like bank accounts right with
its constant withdraw right. So everything that's putting at us,
like I just mentioned CNA and Instagram, whatever, the phone call,
(17:57):
text message, blah blah blah blah blah blah, those are
all withdrawing from our energy. But what are we doing, right?
We got to refill the APM back up before we're
just getting out, right, that's all we're doing. We're doing
this to our energy. But we need to refill replenish
the account. So little things, doing the little things that
we love. That is the way we're able to replenish
our accounts.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
We have to and the way you say it too,
brings that thing about a compounding interest. A little bit
of deposit every day works together with the money and
the interest coming into the account to make the whole
thing more than you actually put in. It's just consistent,
mindful deposit that makes an abundance of bank balance.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
Love the way that you says that. Oh right, because yeah,
like you know, people who put five dollars in their
savings every week whenever their children bump that up to
fifty a week whenever they can when they get to
be adults with jobs. You're like, for why that turned
into some serious mulah.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
It's true, it's true. True. We have to replenish ourselves.
And I even tell my students this as well, you know,
and my nursing students. I'll tell them, like, listen, think
of like a car, right, a car is going to
only run on E for so long before it's like
that's it. We're done here, right, We're done. So I
tell them, you know, think of Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Right,
(19:17):
you need food, you need water, you need to use
the bathroom, you need to sleep, your base, literally your
basic human needs. These are things that your body needs
to be able to function. That translates literally into everyday life,
right literally to everyday life. So if we're only having
withdrawals from us, our accounts, us, our bodies, we're in
(19:41):
the world, what that's only gonna last for so long? Okay,
until we're overdrafted. And those over draft fees are serious.
And let me tell you those overdraft fees, that's when
you have oh I crash, oh you know whatever, my
body shut down. Those are over raftees.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (19:59):
Hello, he's knocking, like, hey, hey, you never replenished me.
So guess what now I'm gonna take it from you.
And what it takes it from you is not nice.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
It isn't nice. Well, because that's you said, like, even
though your brain may say that your body can keep going,
your body will inform the brain whenever it's like, oh no,
we're finished here. No, no, I need a nap, I
need a snack. And if you don't watch it, I'm
gonna I'm gonna trick that knee for you too. You
just watch out. Don't try me, right.
Speaker 2 (20:27):
Do not, don't do it.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
Don't speaking from experience, I'm just like, okay, cool, cool,
it's time for me to prop this knee up. It's
time for me to get an apple with some peanut butter,
and I'm probably gonna go to sleep about an hour
and a half early to night next that's fair.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
That's fair, and honestly saying been through it as well
where my body's like, girl, that's it, that's it. And
there's been times I've literally like gone home. I'm right,
you know, I still want to do this this man.
By the time I sit down, I am life out
and I wake up and it's like four hours later
and I'm like, how did we get yet here? I
(21:00):
was like, you know what, my body, that's how we
got here. And my body said, girl, that's it. That's
it for the day.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
And how many times have we been on like one
of those things where you go through a really particularly
rough week or a couple of weeks at work and
or or for me, like I'll be on a contract
that lasts a long time and it was just go, go, go,
go go, and you don't take care of yourself the
way that you know you need to. And whenever you
get to the end of that or even like right
before it finishes, you come down with something because your
(21:28):
body says no, no, yes.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Yes, yes, And to what that is? Remember the constant stress,
the constant pressure that also lowers your immune system. Right,
so that is why you're so much more prone to
getting this cold or that upper respiratory infection or what
have you, because literally your immune system has also been
lowered be as a result of the stress, the anxiety,
(21:53):
the again the withdrawals, right, the constant withdrawals. Right, that's
been going on absolutely easier.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
And this is from someone who is a medical professional
and teaches others to be medical professionals. Just so you know,
this isn't wives tale and made up business. I'm like, y'all, listen,
she teaches this and practices this for a living. Please
tune in, Please turn those ears out. Appreciate you, thank you,
but it is Please let me give more credence to
(22:22):
what she is, the wisdom that she is flinging right now.
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
I appreciate you, but it is so true and honestly,
even me as a healthcare provider, I've even tested my
own stuff, like, man, I'll be okay, I got this
and I would get the nastiest cold and I'm like,
you know what, I need to sit my behind down
somewhere and that's that's just what it has to be.
Or like some I don't know how it is for you,
but sometimes for me, like my eye will literally start twitching,
(22:48):
like when I'm like twitching, twitching, and I'm like, okay, Bianca,
we're overstimulated. We need to take a step back. If
we have fans this weekend, we may need to adjust
or cancer reschedule what have you. But like your eye twitching,
like literally my body is just tense, like I feel it.
We need to take a step back, and that is okay.
I agree, everyone will be okay.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
That happens when I start to fall asleep as well,
if I'm particularly wound up, and I'll like I'll jerk
as I started to sleep.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
It's like, oh no, that's just the way that I
do know, James, that's not good. That that is your
your entire nervous system wondering what the hell that you've
been doing now that we finally get to rest. Yeah, yes, yes.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
It's like kind of like literally literally hitting when people say, oh,
I just hit a brick wall, like that's you hitting
a brick wall. Your body's like, oh shoot, like whoa, whoa,
what just happened? Wait? Are we laying down right now?
Is that what we're doing?
Speaker 1 (23:40):
Like?
Speaker 2 (23:40):
Are are you sure you want to lay down? But
it's like me, laying down should not be far fetched
to my body. Me resting should not be far fetched
to my body.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
Thank you. Yes. One of our guests their their podcast
episode is going to air just a little bit later
than yours, told me about a wonderful woman, doctor Hersey,
and her book is called Rest is Resistance, and I
just started it, and it's talking about how capitalism and
consumerism can absolutely just eat away at you because you
(24:12):
are always expected to be turning a profit or making
a product or some sort of something to make sure
that you are quote unquote contributing to the economy. And
that her resistance is in the rest, even if it's
only like half an hour of sitting in her rocking
chair with her eyes closed and finding her center again.
It is like, I love that this is something I
(24:33):
can get behind, and it's just the fact that we
have to frame it in such a way that the
only way that I can take it sometimes, I feel,
is by an act of rebellion that breaks my heart.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
Yeah, yeah, damn. Wow. That right, that's a harsh that's harsh, like, well, say,
a harsh reality, like the fact that rest can be
seen as rebellion, Like rest is a basic need.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
What honestly necessity I'm talking about if you want to
continue to live and do well, this is just something
you have to have.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
Literally.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
No, granted, those seventeen cups of coffee a day and
monster drinks and all these other things are not helping
anyone in our with an earshot. No, I never had
a monster. I've never had a monster. But I watched
all of my friends that those backs, like you realize
you're not nineteen, right, I'm gonna you like lay off
of that.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
I think the last time I had any energy g
I think it probably wasn't when I was in nursing school.
So that's back like probably like twenty thirteen, twenty fourteen. Yeah,
And I was like, it actually got so bad to
point that I would take like caffeine pills, was it
Red Bull five hour all those things, and they actually
(25:51):
stopped working for me because caffeine like after a while
did nothing.
Speaker 1 (25:54):
For me to returns.
Speaker 2 (25:56):
Yeah, And I was like, Okay, well, I guess I
want to bed because I just drink a red bowl
and that did nothing for me.
Speaker 1 (26:04):
Right, yeah, or you just like you get so wound up.
I get so unbelievably stimulated that it's short circuits itself.
I trip over into the other part and I'm just like, Okay, well,
every single of my nerve endings is fried. It's time
for a nap. But James has a You've taken a
support in a return, buddy, I'm sorry, there's no return
(26:25):
from here.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
You are not coming back from no, definitely. Folks, everyone listening,
we implore you please do not neglect you're literally basic
human needs. Please please please, because when the body speaks
back to you and it tells you, hey, I'm on zero,
(26:48):
it's not going to be pleasant. Yeah, So we want
to keep our vessels happy.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
And we're here trying to give you like a multi
layer sort of regimen for this. It's like, great, find
things that fulfill you, that bring you joy, you know,
in simple or as complex a statement as you want
to make it delicious, great, go for it. And also
the better you are to your body, the better she's
gonna be to you. So like keep that in mind.
(27:14):
She's not a workhorse. She's a temple. Respect her, and
she will shelter you, fortify you. So those are the
kind of things that I want to say. I'm like, yeah,
these sorts of things, and I don't want to throw
around these big, like new ideas of self care and
da da da da. We've heard that so much that
(27:35):
it almost feels ridiculous to say it out loud. I
like it. I do like it. I think a lot
of people use really interesting methods to perform their own
self care wink. So what I'm saying is, you know,
be mindful, eat well. Green vegetables are not just for
the bowl in the kitchen. How about we enjoy those
(27:55):
two crack it up right fresh fruit. If you're an
eat person, fresh meat, you know, whenever you use those
kind of things, cook light, you know, use the kind
of things in there that are really good fuel for
your body that can also taste great. Trust me, I
know as a feeling's eater, sugar is a big old comfort.
(28:16):
When you see yourself going like nose first into refined sugar, binge,
understand that that is your body crying for help, and
so like, okay, reach for something like fruit oriented. That's
taken me a long time to shift, but I promise
you your whole everything is gonna thank you. And pardon
(28:37):
this from a layperson's perspective, but I've read, I've homeworked
just to touch. Sugar is also one of the body's
biggest fuels for cancer growth. Refined sugars are not necessarily
welcome in the body for the processes and the systems
that are healthy growing, for the malignancies and the things
that actually work against you. Sugar is definitely the thing
(29:00):
it's looking for to fuel it. So do with that
as you will.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
Yep, yep, yep. And also too, just to quickly piggyback
off of that, not to go on a whole medical
but just to piggyback off of it, honestly, in terms
of sugar, thinking about diabetes right, Literally sugar into our body,
and with diabetes it can turn into a whole other
ball game, right, Yes, Fat's all the things, So just
(29:27):
be mindful again, you know just what you're putting into
your body, and at the same time, the things that
you are putting into your body make it fun, right
or find healthy all the time? That's okay too, And
I'm with you right In terms of comfort, eating so
my comfort food mac and cheese. Hands down. I love cheese, cheese, cheese, cheese,
me cheese, me cheese, me cheese, me one hundred percent
(29:50):
mean bullet like bullet mac and cheese, and I am
happy as a clam. I also understand too, with the
mac and cheese, the carbs right the po that we
can you know, and I'm just like, oh darn it,
like please.
Speaker 1 (30:04):
Like, but like we can go back to our Trader
Joe's because they've got lentil pasta there just as easily
all of our coeliac folk out there, gluten intolerant super
I hear you, and I'm here to back that up
with something that will not be nearly as inflammatory for
your system. It's got a different glycemic index. You can
work with something like that. Moderation is also your friend.
(30:25):
Balance is a thing.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Balance is a thing. And I know, like you said there,
just sometimes want to go head first. Literally he yes,
what you can't tell me anything. My whole head is
in the bowl. But self control, right and also asking
yourself why am I eating? Am I eating right now
because I'm hungry? Or am I eating right now because
I'm trying to press something I may or may not
want to feel.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
Oh, and if sugar is your go to water water,
maybe you're thirsty.
Speaker 2 (30:54):
And drink before you start eating. Actually drink the water
before you eat.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
See, we're just bringing you all of the days to
deal with all of this dress because you know, this
is gonna air like really close to Halloween, which is
going to launch us into Thanksgiving, which is going to
lead right into the holiday season, and that's always a
very stressful time for many of us for many reasons.
Whether you've got a very happy family life, but you're
under the stress of making something wonderful for everyone because
(31:23):
they're coming to your house or vice versa. You know,
maybe it's one of those things where this is not
a happy time for you for whatever reason, and so
your stress levels peak wonderful. What we want to do
is say we see you, we love you. Here are
some things you might want to investigate, just to sort
of like head that off before it becomes bigger monster
than you can conquer, and keep that with you at
(31:47):
least through the rest of the year. And if you
need to come back and listen to this again, because
we always love to have you for a.
Speaker 2 (31:51):
Repeat, Yes, yes, listen, We love it.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
Right, and this episode is going to sound the same
every time you listen to it. It's gonna be great consistent.
Oh I love you, I love you Ka. Every time
you come on this show, my face hurts. I have
to massage my cheek bones whenever we're done because my
(32:18):
dimples are just going absolutely overtime right now.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
I just love it, like my heart is just always
so full. I've always heard something like I love James,
so like I genuinely have a great time every time
I have a great time. So everyone that's listening, thank
you guys so much for listening.
Speaker 1 (32:38):
Yes, here we are. We're here for it. And if
you've got questions or any other kind of things, please
ask the medical professional first. But if you want to
know something just because you like the way I say
it delicious, please understand she's the one with expertise. I'm
just the one with charming charisma and whatever. Blah blah blah.
I would also love to influence everyone to please watch
(32:59):
these clips and whatever on our YouTube channel, on our Facebook,
on our Instagram, on our TikTok. Because it's one thing
to listen to Beyonca talk, it's another thing to watch
Beyonca talk. She is such an angel. I love her smile.
She is just a gorgeous picture and just such a
(33:20):
wonderful light. So even though listening to her is delicious,
please make sure that you watch some of our media
as well from this episode, because it's just a wonderful thing.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
It is. I mean, like I said, James, you listen
for you, it's always a yes. Like it's it's like
when all right, let's take it work, Okay, what data
are you free? For you? It's always a yes because
you your personality, your charisma, but your essence as a
person is like boom in the best way, in the
(33:54):
most beautiful way, where it's like I can't help but smile,
I can't help but be happy. I can and help
but bring in all the positivity that you're exuding. So
thank you literally for always being you, real, authentic, genuine,
all the things that is more of what we need
in this world. So anytime that I have the opportunity
to share it with you, I am forever grateful.
Speaker 1 (34:17):
Thank you, thank you. No, no doesn't happen much so
you can enjoy it. Well, you got it, Leanka, Thank
you so much for joining us, sweetheart, I love you.
Speaker 2 (34:38):
I love you so much. And also to to kind
of tie in the spooky aspect. Of course, it is
spooky season kind of going back to rituals and just
meditation and grounding yourself.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
Right.
Speaker 2 (34:53):
So for again, I know we have all different types
of listeners, right, so during this time during the season,
like we said, we know the veil is very right.
So if you do have incense, sage, palissanto, you know,
whatever you use, if there's any religious practices, anything of
the sort, this is the time to do it. Really
(35:13):
ground yourself, really dive into that and be okay with that.
It is okay, you know, I'm not afraid to say.
For me, I'm definitely a sage palosanto, incense, vibes, prayer,
all the things right, and I have a whole nightly
I mean essentially nightly ritual where I'll meditate. I'll clear well, first,
(35:36):
excuse me, let me retract that statement. First, I sage
write anything any excess energy, anything that does not belong,
anything that may have cling to me during the day,
It's time for you to go. And usually what I'll
say is when you do sage, I would say, probably
try to keep a window open because you want the
energy right. Energy is here, we need it to go somewhere, right,
(35:57):
So in my mind, if you're saging in a closed room,
the energy is doing nothing but just going around and
circles in the room, so you want it to have
an exit point. And also too, you also don't want
to suffocate yourself.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
So a man, I don't want it.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
Please please don't suffocate in the stage. So I always
say good with the open window. And then of course
you know Palo santo, Yes, santo does does cleanse, but
it also brings in positivity, right, So I'll usually cleanse
with my sage, and you can do sage wrapped in rosemary,
sage wrapped in lavender. So there's all, you know, depends
(36:32):
how fancy you want to get, and then I'll do
some Palo santo after. And then I also love to
light incense, so I love like smoke and candles like
I don't know, there's something about that vibe that's very
I don't want to say nostalgic, but it's very like
comforting to me. And I love like aroma, so that's
that's definitely my jazz. So I will sage clearer sage
(36:54):
then I'll do polasanto. I'll usually like incense or just
a regular candle, depending on what I'm doing. And then
in terms of meditation, I love to do like a
cleansing energy meditation where I'm really now I'm mindfully removing anything,
and I'll kind of do like a body audit where
I'll start like with my toes, like wiggle my toes
just so I'm aware of all the different points of
(37:16):
my body and go all the way up my body
to my knees, to my thighs to my hips. Right,
we know we store a lot of energy and stress
in our hips, So in our hips, in my abdomen,
in my chest, in my arms, my fingers, all the
things that I literally would shake anything out, but I'll
do system by system. Anything that does not belong you
can also leave as well. And then for me, you
(37:38):
know eyes. So I grew up Catholic, so I'm also
big in terms of prayer as well, So I literally
will pray call in my ancestors, but I'm very specific
in terms of those who are in support and are
here to aid me reach my highest self, my angels,
my spirit guides, any entity that is here for me
(37:59):
in a post positive way to help me again align
with my highest self. Those are the energies that I'm
calling in right now to help ground me and literally
and my highest self. I literally would talk to my
higher self like and our higher self is our subconscious
you know for those who may not know, so that
little voice inside of the little intuition like this doesn't
sound right, I don't think we should do that. That
(38:20):
that's our highest self talking to us, and oftentimes we
tend to ignore that. And that's why they say listen
to your gut, listen to your intuition. So literally, my
higher self, I will also call in, like, let me
be clear, right, I need to be clear, clear, clear
minded right now, so I can also listen and hear myself.
And if there's anything that I may have been, you know,
reflecting on or kind of like in between about, I
(38:44):
literally will ask myself, all right, Bianca, let's be for real,
what is this this situation? What's what's going on? Girl?
Or is it a ya? Is it a na? What
are we supposed to do? And I, like, I will
make sure I'm at my clearer self so I can
hear myself as well as any as you know spirit guys,
you know, anyone else that may be present, so I
can hear clearly what you're saying to me. So you
(39:07):
know that's the wu wu like people like to call it,
you know, the wu side. Sure, But for me, I'm like, no,
it actually you know, it's it's real, It's it's very real.
You know, everyone with this information, you could do with
it what you want. But for me, I would say,
and again, right, it's modified based on your religion, your practices.
(39:28):
You know, you can modify and make it pretty as
you want to, but the premise of it is to
just I think it's important for everyone to have their
own ritual, whatever that look like for you. Right, whatever
that may look like for you. And again, this whole
ritual I just said to you. It doesn't have to
be a whole forty five minute You gotta do it
(39:48):
every night. You could be as quick as fifteen minutes,
ten minutes, but just some time to really clear your
mind and listen, listen and pay attention to signs. Right,
like you said, there's a coincidence, but this also like,
m are you actually coincidence or what you're trying and
tell me?
Speaker 1 (40:03):
Thank you?
Speaker 2 (40:05):
Yes, pay attention, pay.
Speaker 1 (40:07):
Please, right, because the thing that you've asked for forever
may be knocking at your door and you think it's
just you imagining something like hey, hey check in, that
could actually be the thing.
Speaker 2 (40:18):
Okay, yeah, yeah, the universe will conspire in your favorite
I'm telling you.
Speaker 1 (40:23):
Always I am. As long as you're clear and your
intention and your request, she will absolutely come at your aid.
Speaker 2 (40:29):
Yes, so be mindful and also to I love the
journal journalist. Sometimes it depends, right, because some days I'll
do like a brain dump, which literally is what it
sounds like, a brain dump, and I'm just like, all right,
I'm gonna right, just get everything out what I'm feeling
when I'm thinking all the things. And there are some
days where I'm more structured while I actually like look
at prompts or like kind of like okay, like let
(40:50):
me guide myself, like what do I actually want to
get from this? All right, let's do a prompt, let's
answer a specific question. So journaling as well, love to journal,
love to a good time. It's a safe space, right,
you can just write everything down and go for it.
Speaker 1 (41:05):
And what I trap on a page doesn't bounce around
in my head anymore. It is no longer a burden
between my ears. It is stuck on ink and sheet.
And that's the thing that's important to me, because all
of these wonderful practices you're talking about are are very
specific to you. And for me, I journal every day
to do that. I go to the gym every day
because that exercises demons that I cannot get rid of
(41:28):
any other way, makes me look better naked. But like,
just like, let's just call it what it is, Okay,
That's how I care for myself to make sure I
feel great like that. And then I've always got this
ruby on. I got this in Cambodia a few years
ago and it never comes off. I shower with it,
(41:49):
I wear it to the gym, I wear it everywhere.
So it's just one of those things like because for
some folks they prefer like herbs and sage and those
types of things, and for me, it's more of a
crystal or stone or energy in that conduit. It was like, great,
now is it?
Speaker 2 (42:06):
You know?
Speaker 1 (42:06):
I read up on rubies and what they did. It's
a natural ruby from that area, like close to the
burma and that general vicinity. And they're talking about spiritual
strength and fortitude and things like that, which is a
lovely thing to think about. How much do I believe it?
It slides around on a scale, it still makes me
feel great and it reminds me of a wonderful adventure.
And it's just one of those things where it is
(42:27):
very specifically and uniquely mine. There's not another one in
the world just like this.
Speaker 2 (42:31):
So yeah, oh I love that. Oh that's beautiful. That's beautiful.
I mean, that's so beautiful. And I'm also with you
in terms of crystal. Oh, man, I wish I had
it next to meet at Crystals galore Se night Black
on it all. Oh my gosh, Crystal Goal, amethystro Oh, Crystal,
(42:54):
I love, love, love my crystals again. Right, we have
people that have, you know, different opinions on them. To
some folks, it's just a rock, like okay, cool, looks great.
There's some folks that's like no, it does have a
spiritual meaning, you know, to me, and you really do
feel different when you have it around or ground it
or whatever it means to you. And especially during the season,
(43:17):
whatever it is to you, go for it, rock out with.
Speaker 1 (43:21):
It and thank you. And if somebody's got that in
their hand, you've got that around their neck or on
a ring or whatever. Let them love their rock, okay, please,
thank you, Please just let them have it, because you
know it's everybody's got their own belief system and structure
and it does no one any harm rock. Just go
with it.
Speaker 2 (43:40):
It's fine, Go with it.
Speaker 1 (43:41):
Go with it.
Speaker 2 (43:42):
That's okay. I love a good Selen night, right again,
cleansing energy, all the things. A few that actually like
keep in my purse, like actually, that's like, oh, these
are my purse crystals. I have some from my room specifically,
I like, you know, if I I don't know, let's say,
some night I'm calling in, you know, I'm really manifesting,
like you know so and financial goal, right, you know,
I have certain crystals for financial goals. I have certain
(44:04):
incense for financial goals.
Speaker 1 (44:06):
You know.
Speaker 2 (44:06):
It depends on what I'm doing. And that is okay.
It's okay, everybody, whatever you love, that is okay. And
I don't just live in the world. Everyone has an opinion.
Everyone wants to be heard, of course, but at the
same time that does not mean rain down on someone
else's parade, because what you believe may not agree with
what they're doing or what they believe.
Speaker 1 (44:26):
It's okay yours. Don't criticize others please, that's it.
Speaker 2 (44:29):
That's it, that's it, and maybe you could learn something
from them and maybe vice versa. Right, it could be
as simple as a conversation. But nonetheless, whatever you do
during this time and again and bringing the spooky aspect,
whether it's the spirits, ooh, the ancestry, you know, whatever
it is to you call it in this is the time.
It is a time again, the fall, transformation, rebirth, right,
(44:54):
the veil is thin. This is like everything I feel
like all my senses. I don't know if it just
means like all my senses, intuition, everything is heightened. I
feel like once it hits like September the leaves are falling,
I'm like, oh, like everything is heightened for me. So
I am also very mindful to in terms of the
energies that I'm around as good. So that's a big thing.
Speaker 1 (45:15):
That is also a fantastic rule of thumb, just in general.
If it is harshing your vibe and it's just something
just isn't right, hard to put a finger on, hard
to really call it out specifically, go with that, Go
pay attention to your higher self like you're talking about,
go with your gut and remove yourself from that situation. Yes, kindly,
respectfully if possible. You don't need to be stick around
(45:38):
for stuff like that that's making you feel bad. You just don't.
And if you need permission, Beyonca and James give it
to you right here, right now. Okay, remove yourself.
Speaker 2 (45:48):
Clip it, clip clip clip clip clip like I am
queen of clip it. Let me tell you clip that ship,
but clip it.
Speaker 1 (45:58):
Of course you excuse your excuse because I could not.
I could not anymore get rid of it. Your life
is too precious and as far as I know, we
only get one. You just go ahead and remove yourself
from that situation and blind yourself. Some of this is
more nourishing for you, because I agree. I think that
whenever the weather starts to cool and they start to shorten,
I think that we can sort of like reach a
(46:19):
more heightened state with our senses, not even from a
woo perspective, but from the fact that the oppression of
heat and humidity can sometimes leave me feeling lethargic, where
that crisp in the air will heighten everything because I'm
not just trying to survive.
Speaker 2 (46:35):
Correct, correct, you are up, you're refresherator to go, you
are clear. And again going back to listening to our body.
Oftentimes our body will tell us like the vibes are
not right, Like when you actually pay attention, you'll feel
the energy like I don't know, something they said, I
don't know, it's kind of funny, or but you'll feel it,
(46:55):
or like you'll notice a little subtle like I don't
know what they like, little suttle actions from other people.
To pay attention, you're actually wait a minute, they just
they just roll their eyes, you know, like yeah, undertone
like you, if you really pay attention, I'm telling you,
your body will catch on to certain things. It's like, okay,
(47:19):
I hear you, I see you, and I'm gonna go
this way.
Speaker 1 (47:22):
And that's so yeah, absolutely is. And it also sends
a very powerful meansage to the universe. Yes, yes, she's listening,
she's watching. She's like, oh, okay, they made a conscious
effort to avoid a situation like that, So I'm just
gonna try to remove those from the path from here
on or out.
Speaker 2 (47:37):
Yep, Delicious no longer aligned with her, and she removed
herself because she realized here is she realized this person
or this situation is not aligned with them, and they
remove them themselves. So what's the universe gonna do? Give
you more of what you align yourself with. Right. So again,
like I said, the universe, I'm telling you, it will
conspire in your favor. Baby, if you are clear, it
(48:01):
will conspire in your favor. So really pay attention to
yourself and your body. The vibes. I'm a very viby person.
For me, the vibe off, I'm good, Like I said,
like m m, vibes are not here. Time to go.
I'm okay, catch out later. Let me know when the
next outing is. You know, have a good night everyone.
I'm gonna catch you guys later. But the vibes are off.
(48:22):
Remove yourself. If something you're talking to someone, or you
have someone present in your life and you're realizing this
person's really depleting me, Sally.
Speaker 1 (48:32):
Gotta gotta go.
Speaker 2 (48:35):
I think I'm just in that space now in my life.
I'm very unapologetic about it. Like I good, I will
remove myself very quickly.
Speaker 1 (48:43):
I am so sorry that your negative intention is giving
me the he be gbis I got to get gone.
Speaker 2 (48:49):
I love that, but it's true.
Speaker 1 (48:52):
It's true. It's just the truth of it. And living
in the Netherlands now, like people around here are very direct.
They would never say anything quite like that. But they
were just like, I think that I've gotten enough out
of this visit today, or well look at the time,
got to go and you may never see that person again.
I was like, absolutely, yes, I could not agree more.
(49:13):
Thank you so much. It just boggles my mind. It
took a little getting used to because at first it
seemed abrupt and somewhat rude. And no, no, no, they're
just direct. They understand when something isn't serving and they
just tell you wow. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (49:27):
It's like a oh. And but when you think about it,
they didn't say anything rude like about you. They're just
saying they're speaking about themselves. I'm gonna remove myself. And
I'm like, huh, you know what, I'm not mad at it.
Speaker 1 (49:42):
No, no, And there's this wonderful campaign going on social
media right now. It's something similar to please pardon me
for paraphrasing, and it's like, please don't hear what I
did not say?
Speaker 2 (49:54):
Ooh ooh.
Speaker 1 (49:57):
Whenever people say, oh, well you said this, yes I did,
I said exactly that, and you have inferred, and you
have filled in blanks that did not need your completion.
Please don't hear what I did not say. I said
that I have had enough of this today. I'm not
saying that I hate your guts. What I'm saying is
I've reached my limit. We can try this again at
a later date to see if this is a one
(50:18):
offer or consistent, and will assess again. It's very valid,
it's incredibly direct, it's very informative.
Speaker 2 (50:28):
Wow wow, I mean yeah, because it is true. I
think about even when you know folks will go back
to the previous examples say like okay, I'm gonna remove myself.
People probably would infer. Oh my god, they said I.
Speaker 1 (50:48):
Was boring, right, what were they thinking?
Speaker 2 (50:52):
That's actually the person's insecurity speaking because technically they didn't
say none of that. They just said that they're leaving.
And now you're adding in all this extracurricular information that
does not even exist. To be very honest, but it's like,
where's that coming from.
Speaker 1 (51:04):
That's probably coming from It's coming from the audience. It's
not coming from the speaker. Just like exactly what you said.
It's projecting insecurity and this slogan this campaign is it's
highlighting the communication styles of most folks in the autism community.
And so it's like, because many of them do speak
(51:27):
so very directly and without artifice or facade that it's
interpreted as borderline or well into rude. And it's like,
please don't hear what I did not say. You asked
a question, I answered it honestly, and because I did
not hem hall or preface, you're thinking this, Please understand that.
I just don't feel the need for that. My language
(51:49):
style is much more efficient and streamlined than that, and
whenever I answer you, it is efficiency. You asked a question,
I respect you, I tell you exactly what I think,
and hopefully we all move forward as adults. Sometimes we're
just not used to that. It's just uncommon for a
lot of us.
Speaker 2 (52:07):
It's true, it's true. Yeah, no, that's true. And yeah,
sometimes we just don't know how to handle it. We're like, oh,
they just said what, Oh my god, they think I'm
the worst person ever. Was like, no, actually, they just
said they were going home.
Speaker 1 (52:21):
To be fair, maybe they're thinking that, but that's not
what they said, right, right, said what I said?
Speaker 2 (52:30):
I said what I said, that is so true. I'm like, no,
all I said was I'm leaving now, right right exactly?
Speaker 1 (52:44):
You don't you don't hear.
Speaker 2 (52:48):
I can't stand it, but I said, I'm just I'm
going to remove myself from this conversation. It was great
while it lasted, and I'm gonna speak to you a
different day period. That's it. You know, another thing this
just reminded me it also pays to be very honest,
so you know, when you may have those folks that
(53:08):
just kind of just dump on you, right, you're trying
to be a good friend, and it's so important, I
think if you're not in this space to receive or
be able to receive what that person's saying, to let
them know yes, as opposed to just okay, I'm done.
I heard what you said. I don't have a response
(53:30):
for you. What like what? That's crazy?
Speaker 1 (53:34):
And that falls right into the same categories with all
the other stuff we're talking about. If you don't have
that in your bank account, please don't overdraw by trying
to be a help to this person when you simply
do not have the resource. Yep, yep, they're coming in
for help.
Speaker 2 (53:49):
Right and you can't. And I definitely have been the one. Like,
there's definitely been times where I'm like, I don't have
the bandwidth right now. I really want to have this
conversation with you, and I know you want to talk
to me about it and for me to be able
to best receive this conversation, are you free tomorrow? You know,
can we talk tomorrow? If I know I don't have it,
I'm not going to do it with you right now.
(54:09):
I just I don't got it, like, and I'm not
going to play myself that like I got it because
the response is that you're gonna get from me is
gonna be something completely different because I neither tire, stress,
over work, hunger, you know, whatever it is. But always
be honest. If you're not able to receive right now,
just let the other person know. And that's okay. And
(54:31):
on the other person's side, they're your friend, they're your people.
They will understand. I promise you they will. Yeah, they will.
Speaker 1 (54:39):
There came to you for help if you can't give help,
but they need help more than they need help from you.
Speaker 2 (54:45):
Correct correct from you is.
Speaker 1 (54:48):
Just the first stop or one of the stops that
they've made. They need help. And if you're not able
to give that to them, let them find it elsewhere,
because I promise you that's say I'm so sorry. I
just don't have that in me right now. Yeah might
sting a little bit, but it won't come near as
hurtful as listening to the situation, taking in what they're
giving you and not having enough to really give back.
Speaker 2 (55:12):
Yeah. Yeah, Because if your re sponsor is like, damn,
that's crazy. Damn, that's crazy. Damn, that's crazy.
Speaker 1 (55:18):
Right right, they'll be like, you know what, girl, what
And if you hear that, if you hear that that
response more than three times, chances are you, as the
person with the problem, need to wrap it up. They're like,
you know what, Okay, this person wanted to help, they
realized halfway through they couldn't. They don't have it in
(55:40):
their heart to tell me, they can't. Let me take
this somewhere else. This is not going somewhere. And before
this turns into something that's probably more of a problem
with them than the original problem I brought them. Yeah,
let's not. Let's just not.
Speaker 2 (55:54):
Let's just not And that is okay. So I feel
like this is definitely an episode of permission. We're just
giving all the permission that is okay someone, I don't
have it right now. I don't have it for you
right now. Does that mean I love you any less?
It does not mean I don't want to talk to you.
It genuinely means right now, I am not in a
(56:17):
space to be able to hold this conversation with you,
and I want to be able to best receive this conversation.
I want to be a great friend to you and
actually actively listen to what you're saying to me. So
in order for me to do that, I need to
rap you know, there's certain things. Oh you don't even
have to go into that, but you can just say
there's certain things I need to do first. Ye can
we check in tomorrow or tomorrow after work or you
know whatever it is that is okay to say to somebody.
(56:40):
I promise you they're going to honor that and respect
that way more than you saying Dan, that's crazy time six.
Speaker 1 (56:46):
Oh yes, thanks, I can get that. The water cooler
at work, get out of here, not the.
Speaker 2 (56:51):
Water cooler at work.
Speaker 1 (56:53):
Come.
Speaker 2 (56:54):
But it's true. It's true.
Speaker 1 (56:56):
It's true. Well, and we see that meme on on
Facebook and whatever all the time too. It's just like
if you hear damn, that's crazy more than three times,
please understand that this story is over.
Speaker 2 (57:08):
It's over.
Speaker 1 (57:09):
And I'm not trying to be rude. I'm just saying like, Okay,
you've gotten into a place where someone just does not
feeling any they need to feel for you. It's true.
It's just like that's just a fact of life. And
I don't guess there's anybody to blame. It's just one
of those things like this is not the resource you
thought it was, and that's okay.
Speaker 3 (57:25):
Check back, Yeah, just check back, y'all.
Speaker 2 (57:30):
I promise you it is okay to circle back again.
It is respectful on the person who's receiving or depleted
on their part to express that to the other person
and on the other persons. And it's like, you know what,
I promise you, if you're coming with that person right
now for help, you don't want to receive them actually
(57:50):
in that state because it might make you feel worse
because you think you're calling someone like hey, I need
you talking about this and you just keep getting damn,
that's crazy. You're gonna feel worse, I promise you. So
it's also a case to be like, you know what,
I respect that. I would love to talk to you,
but I'm saying you can't talk tonight. Hey, let's check
in tomorrow and I'll tell you all about it tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (58:10):
That is okay.
Speaker 2 (58:11):
That is okay, everybody. I promise you it's okay. And
don't let anyone tell you differently exactly where it's okay,
it's okay. But yeah, this is all, you know, just
real conversation and just literally real life that literally happens
every day. And I feel like these are kind of
(58:32):
the combos that we don't always say, but they're kind
of like they happen. They happen. I'm sure it's probably
happening right now. Someone's probably somewhere in the world right
now is on the phone saying, Dan, that's crazy. Like
they're probably on the fourth time seeing it.
Speaker 1 (58:44):
And there's of them, honestly.
Speaker 2 (58:47):
And they're probably still yapping away right now, not even
realizing they're on the tenth. D that's damn. That's crazy.
So it's always nice to have these conversations where there
are certain things that we may not we feel comfortable expressing,
but like they happened and we could talk about it
and it's okay. It's okay, it's okay.
Speaker 1 (59:11):
Oh gosh, yeah.
Speaker 2 (59:12):
Okay, you know yeah. Side note, are you doing anything spooky?
Do you do anything spookie?
Speaker 1 (59:18):
Uh? I am not, not necessarily. I've got a big
busy October, so I'm I'm here and bopping around. I've
got language classes four days a week. I've got gym
all the time. Now we are planning on doing like
an outing for Halloween because there's a foreigner slash immigrant
(59:38):
meet up here in town. I've got my skeleton like
outfit costume, Da da da da. She's a little snug
from the south of the Equator. So I'm gonna be
tucking that into a pair of blue jeans so I
don't embarrass anybody. I don't mind, but I don't want
to necessarily be going around town like that.
Speaker 2 (59:57):
So yeah, wait, No, I love that. I think something
that's cool that I do like to do is research
paranormal places in other countries and international.
Speaker 1 (01:00:12):
That's oh, you're gonna love this. I came in contact
with a creator that does a a it's a program,
I guess is what you call it? Called Little Walk
of Horrors. Oh, and she puts together these little tours
of old and macabre sites in each of the cities
(01:00:33):
in the Netherlands. She sent me a kit for Nymecha
in the male just showed up and I have to
take this tour and made a little TikTok video about
it and it was just fantastic. And then the twenty
eighth of this month, she and I are going to
go to Delft, which is another city in the Netherlands,
and she's going to take me on a tour of
that city and it's spooky background.
Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
Oh my god, let me know how it is.
Speaker 1 (01:00:56):
I will absolutely let you know how it is. Yeah.
So I get to go to Delft one, which I love.
I haven't been to Delft yet. It's the city known
for the white and blue of the Dutch like pottery
and porcelain.
Speaker 2 (01:01:08):
Okay, yep, yep.
Speaker 1 (01:01:09):
And she's gonna just take me on a tour of
the city about okay, and this is where all of
these executions took place, and this is where what they
did with the bodies. Whenevery we're finished, and it's wonderful.
Wo oh. Yeah. And they send these unbelievable swag packs.
It's like a pencil and a pen and a bookmark
and a little like guide book that's full color, spiral bound,
(01:01:33):
the whole thing, so while you're walking through, and you
can get it in any number of languages because they
haven't all set up for you know, international guests, and
it's brilliant. I loved it.
Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
That is phenomenal. Oh yeah, that's really really cool, is it?
It's just for the Netherlands.
Speaker 1 (01:01:50):
Uh, as far as I know. I know specific because
she lives here, and so she and I are going
to be doing that here because she said, well, pick
a city, like pick a city and will go because
almost all the major cities here she has a spooky walk,
a walk of horrors.
Speaker 2 (01:02:07):
Swoon.
Speaker 1 (01:02:12):
Yeah, ohen, I got in trouble the first time that
I went because I wanted to go at midnight. I
wanted to go on the tour at midnight. She says,
please don't ever do that again. I was like, wow, why.
She's like, it's not that anything spooky is going to
necessarily get you, she said, but some of the places
that you have to walk through are not the best
parts of town, and they're known for, you know, sometimes
a little bit of shady activity and people are doing
(01:02:34):
things that aren't necessarily legal. She says, I can see
why you would, because you know, Little Walk of Horrors,
go after dark, going whatever. But there are parts of
the town that you just don't need to be in
that late. So next time, you know, closer to sundown
and then home by nine.
Speaker 2 (01:02:53):
I was like, oh, okay, that's true, that's fair, because
I would have let's go at midnight.
Speaker 1 (01:02:59):
Let's go with the witching out exactly, like let's see something. Yes,
let's go. Right.
Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
To understand, from a safety standpoint, right, if we are
in a location where you know, certain activities may have happened,
they may not always be the safest. It could be
a little shaky, right.
Speaker 1 (01:03:21):
And I told her too, I was like, you realize
where I left right and where I came to. She's
like yeah, yeah, she says, still okay, okay, okay, okay,
and okay, so you won't get shot. The chances are
you might get stabbed, so like, let's not okay, thanks,
but actually though noted.
Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
Right, Yeah, it's like it's to.
Speaker 1 (01:03:48):
Like laugh at him, and also and also yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:03:53):
So like but like for real, like, oh my gosh,
what a time. The world is a place, man.
Speaker 1 (01:04:00):
Let me tell you the world.
Speaker 2 (01:04:04):
It is a choice, and it is a place. Yes,
you know, it's funny because you know, you always hear
those news like, oh, the aliens are here, the aliens
are here. I'm like, you know what, honestly at this point,
tell them come on, because I don't know, I don't
even know what's going on down here. So I mean
we can go up there and kick it with them.
Speaker 1 (01:04:23):
I don't know, we could do better to be fair.
Speaker 2 (01:04:27):
Same same, Yeah, I kind of want to be like,
I don't think this is where you want to come.
Speaker 1 (01:04:33):
Sometimes that's why they haven't made themselves known yet. They're
like they ain't.
Speaker 2 (01:04:36):
Ready, they ain't Yeah, yeah, yeah, I feel like that too.
It could very much be like, you know what, let's
watch these humans a little bit more, but like I
don't even know if we want to make an appearance.
And I'm like, no, I don't blame you, because like
it's shaky down here, so like I'm like, I don't
blame you. But I'm also like, aliens, I kind of
(01:04:57):
want to have a conversation with you to see what's
going on up there, just to kind of compare.
Speaker 1 (01:05:02):
You know, assuming you know they're humanoid and or you know,
have a similar yeah, preference for life. That would be delicious.
Speaker 2 (01:05:10):
It's like, yeah, that could also be shaky, because that
might be the day they're like, oh, you know what,
let me try this little short thing. I'm like, you
know what, forget this whole conversation.
Speaker 1 (01:05:25):
Truth, truth, so truth. You know, you never know what.
You don't know what you got till it's gone, and
Lord knows, you sure don't know. Yeah, I asked for this,
you know.
Speaker 2 (01:05:35):
True? Actually, yeah, I don't know, Universe, I might have
to retract this hosting. I don't know if you're gonna
send me an alien, send me like someone fun and
like that actually wants like conversation with me, And that's like, okay,
you know we can actually like converse, not an alien
that's trying to eat me. I just please, Lord, I
(01:06:03):
get this. The spooky conversation of Halloween.
Speaker 1 (01:06:06):
Now, aliens, extraterrestral life, absolutely, the unknown, it falls right
in there. It's a different genre, but it's in. It's
in the group, it's in the class.
Speaker 2 (01:06:16):
Actually thinking of the unknown. How do you feel about
the unknown? Like to say life after that? That?
Speaker 1 (01:06:24):
Oh, to be fair, I'm too focused on doing what
I'm doing here. Yes, I pardon me for saying like, now,
I was raised a certain way, and I have not
departed from that faith per se the practice of that
faith among people whom I know back in my hometown
(01:06:45):
of Alabama, we have very serious differences in what constitutes
Christianity in this day and age. I'm going to leave
that right where it stands. I don't think it needs
a whole lot more explanation. As far as the afterlife
has concerned it, it would not surprise me. It's just
that I've gotten to a point now where I think
that people have become so focused on being whatever they
(01:07:09):
need to be to get the good stuff once they
pass on the overside of the other side, that they
don't focus enough on the connection and love here.
Speaker 2 (01:07:18):
Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:07:20):
And that's just my own personal take on it. And
I didn't really know that I had a take on
it until you asked it. And I'm just thinking, I
want to make the connection here, I want to share
the love here. I want to make sure that people
know that I'm not laying up treasures in another kingdom,
but I am doing it for us, all of us here,
to the best of my ability. Yes, and whatever that
(01:07:41):
comes next, Daddy's ready let's just adventure on friends. Yeah, yes,
sharing of course. Would you do you have any ideas
of thoughts on that that you would like to share
with our listeners.
Speaker 2 (01:07:56):
Yes, So it's it's actually okay being the spooky girly
spooky paranormal girly. It's funny because I'm half and half,
so I'm with you in terms of I'm all about
to hear the now world we're currently in right now,
making the best impact, being the best person I can,
spreading joy, love, all the positive things here. Physically we
(01:08:20):
are here, but I'll be remiss if I did not
say that there are times where I'm also like hmm,
or even honestly, even during my investigations, because I'm like,
this is of a worldly They're not here, but they're
communicating with me right My devices are going off, there's
a change in the electromagnetic field. I am. I have
(01:08:40):
literally EVP recording of someone a man's voice, but there
was no one speaking. So it's like little things like
that and I'm like wow, like no, like they're I
try not to harp too much on it about what happens,
but I'm also able to acknowledge that, yes, there is
(01:09:02):
a whole another world after now the part I don't
get lost in and I try not to get lost,
and of course it's like, well what makes you suck here?
What makes you suck there? Like you know, that's where
you can get lost? Like, okay, does it happen suddenly?
Am I gonna be walking around an abyss? And like,
like all the little things you can get lost in?
(01:09:23):
Easy to do that. I don't really harp too much
on that, but I am able to acknowledge, Yes, there
is a whole afterlife. Now in my mind, I'm like,
can I choose where my afterlife is? Like? Can I
be in like the mald Leaves or Fiji?
Speaker 1 (01:09:37):
Like you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:09:38):
I'm kind of like that hows this thing work?
Speaker 1 (01:09:40):
But right? Yeah? Do I like put put in for
a transfer? How does this go right?
Speaker 2 (01:09:46):
Right? How does it work right? And like if I
get a buff, can I have like you know, sparkly
pink wings? Like you know, how does this work? Do
I put in requests that? Okay? But yeah, certain things
like that I have like that, like I chuckle about
if about But like I said, I am able to
acknowledge that, Yes, there is a whole life afterwards, I
just try not to get lost in like where when
(01:10:08):
da da da that? Like, I try not to get
lost in that, Yeah, because it's it is easy to
get lost in that again, especially so when you aren't investigating.
Our goal is to find out what happened to you, right,
like why are you still here? Why haven't you crossed over?
Is there a message you want to tell us? Is
(01:10:28):
there a message you want to really to a friend,
a family? Whatever it is? So I right, because there's
clearly there's a reason why you're here right now. When
we go into actual hauntings, right, you have your intelligent
haunting that you ask a question, it will answer you back.
It's like okay, like you're you're talking directly to me.
(01:10:49):
You'll have your poultry guys activity. Right, that's where you'll
just see like let's see a pen or water bottle
just like go flying across. Okay, where where did that
come from? You'll have your residual energy where sometimes people
might see apparitions or you know, you might see someone
doing something that they used to do when they were alive.
So let's say you love to rock on a rock
(01:11:11):
and chair on your front porch, and let's say you
pass on and someone might walk by your old house
and they might see you rocking on the chairs like
oh shit, Like okay, they're rock what wait what? But
that's something that that person may have loved to do
when they were alive. So that's your residual energy where
you kind of catch a spirit doing what was routine
(01:11:31):
when they were alive. So again, all these different aspects
of it, I know, I acknowledge, I've seen you know
all the things. Yes, but that's the part where I
agree with you. I try to focus on the now
here and now and what I can do now on
present here again, being my best self right, spreading love,
spreading joy. Basically, try and leave the world better than
(01:11:53):
when I found it, right, That's that's what I'm trying
to do.
Speaker 1 (01:11:56):
And fully leaving it whenever it's time to leave.
Speaker 2 (01:11:59):
Correct correct, correct, Amen, correct, right right.
Speaker 1 (01:12:05):
