Speaker 1 (00:06):
Hello everybody, Welcome once again to another Real Me podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
I'm your host, Winfred Duffy and so glad to have
you tap into this podcast tonight and really just have
you listen in. Thank you for allowing us to invade
your space because I believe that the Lord is really
going to speak to your heart while you listen today.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Thank you just for a few minutes. So let's get started.
Let's just jump right in. Listen.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
I'm here to let you know that you've been created
in the image and likeness of God, and you are
created a powerful, powerful person. You just don't know it yet.
It really doesn't matter. You know what people have said
about you. It doesn't matter some of the experiences that
you've been through, some of the challenges, the good, the bad,

(00:58):
and the ugly. Guess what, God created you a perfect person.
And guess what when He looked at you, he said,
just like he did with Jesus, even before Jesus started
his ministry, Jesus say, he says the same thing about you.
You are my beloved son. You're my beloved daughter and
whom I'm well pleased. So it doesn't matter. You know

(01:21):
about what you have done and all of that.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
He created you in.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
His image and in his likeness, and so yes, he
doesn't want you. He doesn't want you to, you know,
do evil or anything like that. But he wants you
to come back to living the life that he purposed
for you to live. You're wonderful, You're awesome. You're wonderful.
You're great, And it doesn't matter what people have said
about you or what somebody thinks about you. Whether it's

(01:47):
a loved one, whether it's a used to be friend
or an enemy, or a boss, or a preacher or
a teacher, it doesn't matter, you know what negative things
they've said about you. What really matters is what God
says about you. And he thought you were so valuable

(02:09):
that he gave his only begotten son so that you
might live and live an abundant life, so that you
can live the way that He purposed for you to live.
And guess what, when he brought you here, he puts
something on the inside of you that nobody else in
this world has. Out of eight billion people, nobody else

(02:30):
can do what you do like you do it. Your
personality makes you unique. Your character makes you unique. And
I'm not talking about what the streets have made you,
or the streets have invaded your character or your way
of thinking to be. I'm not talking about that, or
even a negative upbringing. I'm not talking about that. I'm

(02:54):
talking about the person that you are before all of
that and underneath all of that stuff. And so it's
the devil's job to suppress who you really are. It's
the devil's task. He doesn't want you to discover who
you really are, because if he does, he'll know that
you are just like Jesus.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
He'll know that because you have accepted Jesus into your heart.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
If you've done that, he'll know that you've been created
in the image.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
And likeness of God.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
And he knows he knows he can't win against God.
You are victorious. You've been created in the image and
likeness of God. And so when the devil sees you,
he sees that you look like God, you act like God,
you are like God. And so that's why he tries

(03:45):
to tear your way of thinking down. He tries to
make you think that you're less than and so when
when he can see, when he sees that he has
a way in man, he's gonna he's gonna just take
full advancevantage of.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
What you allow him to. So, my friends, I'm here to.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Tell you today that you are more than what you
think that you are and more than what you thought
that you are. You are God's masterpiece. You are his masterpiece.
You are created in his image and his likeness, and
He's put something on the inside of you that nobody
else and this earth can do. So I'm here to

(04:27):
encourage you today to get to it. And so our
topic today is making life count. Say that with me,
making life count, Making life count. So all those times
that you said you can't do this and you can't
do that, I'm not this, I'm not that. I'm not

(04:48):
an outfront person. I like being behind the scenes. I
don't like eating this, or I don't like going here,
I don't like being around a whole lot of people,
or whatever whatever you're excuse is. You know, you might
be an introvert, a person who really doesn't express yourself
to a lot of people. You don't speak loudly, you

(05:09):
don't speak boldly, and all of that.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Don't live with that crutch in your life.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Your voice counts. Your voice counts, your perspective counts. You
are just as important as everybody here on this earth,
nobody else on this earth. It doesn't matter whether you're
a trillionaire or a billionaire, whether you're the richest person
in the earth, or whether you're the poorest or the

(05:34):
lowest person in the earth. You might live under a bridge,
you might live in a tent. It doesn't matter who
you are what you are. God created you who you are,
and you are who you are by His grace, and
you have just as much right and permission to be
here on this earth.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
He gave enough.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
Oxygen, enough provision for you to carry out your assignment
in the earth. Don't think that just because you were
born here or born there, that you don't have everything
that you need. You do because God gave you everything
that you need to fulfill your assignment. So stop thinking
that you're not like the person who was born on

(06:18):
the other side of the track, or born with a
silver spoon in his mouth or her mouth. No, you
have everything you need. God is faithful, and God is
no respector of persons. And He didn't create you to
be beneath. He created you to be above. You are
a king. You are a masterpiece of God. God does

(06:41):
not create junk. It doesn't matter what your present circumstances
look like.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Right at the moment. You can look around and say.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
You don't own this, you don't have that, and all whatever,
it doesn't matter. Man, you are created in the image
and likeness of God. You might not have obtained those
things yet, but it's in.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
You to get.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
And it's not about possession of things either. It's about
making an impact because.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
You've been here.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
You're here on an assignment from God, so it's you
have the responsibility the assignment to make your life count.
You don't have to compete and compare with anybody else.
All you have to do is do what you have
been assigned here to do. And greatness is on the

(07:30):
inside of you.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Come on, tell yourself that I'm great. I'm great, I'm important.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
I breathe and I eat and drink everything that I
need just like everybody else does. You have all the
provision that everybody else on this earth does. And the
opportunity is coming your way again. God would not be
a just god if he didn't bring the proper opportunities

(07:58):
around to you. See and seasons go. Okay, you may
have missed a few seasons, but guess what seasons are
going to come around again, and so you have an
opportunity to grow. You have an opportunity to be fruitful,
to multiply what's on the inside of you. So I'm
here to encourage you today to make life count. And

(08:20):
so one of the scriptures I want to share with
you today is because I'm coming to you from the Bible.
The word of God. The word of God is true forever,
O Lord, is your word settled in heaven. Let God
be true and every man be a liar. So what
God says is absolutely true, and it supersedes facts. It

(08:42):
supersedes yes, all of the circumstances and happenstances that have
come your way. It supersedes that it doesn't matter what
your present situation looks like. God's truth. God's word supersedes that.
Facts can change. Facts do change from day to day,
from moment to moment. But God's word is forever settled

(09:06):
in heaven. His word cannot change what he said he
will do. If he spoke it, He's going to bring
it to past. You can believe that because He's not
a liar.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Okay. So I just want to share with you in.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
Oh, it's a second second Timothy.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Two, Timothy one, Chapter one.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
And verse we're just shooting it right down to verse six,
wherefore I put THEE in remembrance that thou'll stir up
the gift of God which is in THEE by the
putting on of my hands. And the ensuing verse says this,
for God has not given us the spirit of fear,

(09:56):
but of power, and of love and of a sound mind.
So that was Paul talking to Timothy and just encouraging
Timothy to be all that he is created to be.
And so he was just reminding Timothy of the gift
that was on the inside of him when Paul laid

(10:16):
his hands on him. There's a gift on the inside
of Timothy. There's a gift on the inside of you.
And nobody really has to lay hands on you to
verify that there is a gift, because I'm here to
tell you today that you have a gift. God doesn't
make junk. He didn't put you here in the earth.
He didn't show you here in the earth for you
to just die. No, you are a seed sewn into

(10:40):
the earth so you can bear fruit. That's why he
said at the beginning in Genesis, after he created Adam
and Eve. He told them to be fruitful and multiply,
Be fruitful and multiply. That means they were seeds sewing
into the earth, and that they were supposed to bring
forth much fruit. And if you'll know, if you'll notice

(11:03):
that when you take one seed, it can be a
corn seed. If you take one seed and plant it
into the ground, it's going to bring up three or
four ears of corn. And each of those corn ears
has multiple hundreds of seeds on them, and all of
it came from one seed, so that one seed was

(11:25):
fruitful and it multiplied, and that's the way the kingdom does.
So God showed you into the earth as a seed,
and you're supposed to be fruitful and to multiply. In
other words, you're supposed to impact this world, impact this
earth in the time that you've been allotted here in
this earth, so that you can be fruitful and multiply,

(11:47):
and not for your seed to just multiply and fall
to the ground. But your seed is supposed to remain.
It's supposed to multiply. And so check this out.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
So when.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
When when you as a seed, when you as a
seed has been sewn into the earth, you have been
blessed by God. You have been graced by God to
bring forth abundantly. So your influence here in the earth

(12:24):
will spread throughout the earth, one by one, two by two,
one hundred by one hundred, it will spread to the
throughout the earth. It will make an impact. So and
it's a ripple effect, so that when when you bear seed,
it's gonna impact somebody else. When you influence somebody else,

(12:45):
that's gonna influence somebody else. And it's gonna influence somebody
else and influence somebody else. And and look at this also,
there's different there's a difference between the seeds. Now, so
there's a difference between corns seed. When you plant it
in the ground, it's gonna bring you forth, Yes, it's
gonna bring bring you forth several ears, but it's gonna

(13:08):
bring forth several seeds as well, kernels of corn. But
guess what, You're only gonna reap that harvest once. But
there's also what's called fruit seeds, like an apple seed. Okay,
so you plant one apple in one apple seed in
the ground. It's gonna take it a while to come up,
but guess what, it's gonna bear fruit for generations to come.

(13:31):
The fruit that that tree bears is gonna as long
as it doesn't get diseased or contaminated or anything of
that nature, it's gonna bear fruit for for seasons and
seasons and years and years to come off of one seed.
And so even beyond your generation, even beyond you know,

(13:52):
if you're the one that planted to seed, that apple
seed or the apple tree is gonna bear fruit to
your children and to your children's children and along that
tree remains in the earth, but it's gonna continue. And
so you're the same way you are a seed. So
I'm here to tell you to make life count. Make
life count, man, Listen, everybody, every one of us experiences

(14:17):
circumstances and situations, and I mean insurmountable situations, circumstances sometime
that make you say, man, it's just not worth it.
And you sometimes you just want to give up and stop,
you know, because it doesn't seem like you're making a difference.
It looks like every time you turn the TV on, man,
there's just all kinds of evil.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
There's all kinds of negative stuff.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
Bad news what they should call it rather than your
local news.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
Not they should call it local bad news or world
bad news.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
What they should call it, because every time you turn
that TV on, man, you're just gonna hear reports of
all kinds of negativity throughout the earth. And you really
only have to earn the TV on. You can just
look right in your neighborhood or you know, reading the
newspaper or whatever. And but so negative stuff is all around,

(15:10):
and it seems like you get overwhelmed with all of
this negativity and it seems like, man, no, I just
want to close myself off in my own house, stay
out of everybody else's business, don't want to get involved
in life. Just want to keep on doing what I'm doing,
you know, and just be quiet. No, your voice counts,

(15:30):
and you do make a difference. You might not be
able to save everybody. Everybody might not listen to you,
you know, you might. There's a million star starfish on
the seat on the seashore, and you can actually walk
through the seashore and just start throwing something back. You
might not get to all of them, it's okay, but
the ones that you throw back into in the water

(15:52):
and you can save them and you can make an
impact with them. And guess what they'll begin to bear fruit,
and they can save others as they can come along again.
You understand what I'm saying. So your life does count.
So make it count. Make it count. Have an impact,
a positive impact, a righteous impact.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
And here's the way that.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
You get more gallons permile from your life. First of all,
having a relationship with the Lord. Having a connection with
the God who put you here, so that you can
understand what your purpose is, so that you can understand
his plan. Lord, why did you put me here? I
didn't ask to come to this earth. I didn't ask

(16:36):
to be born of my parents. And whatever the circumstances
are even around that, you know, whether your parents were married,
you came up in a great house, or whether your
parents were whether whether you came forth just as a
one night stand. Guess what. You're not a mistake, You're
not an accident. God put you here for a purpose.

(16:57):
He had need of you. He took you out of
the unseen world, you know, out of eternity, and brought
you here in time. And here you are today is
a December the ninth, twenty twenty four. He put you
here right now or whatever time period you're looking at
this podcast. He put you here right now, so that

(17:21):
you can make a difference, So you can make an impact.
You're not a mistake. He's put something on the inside
of you to bring forth mightily and impact the earth,
to make a change. Can one man or one woman
make a difference?

Speaker 2 (17:35):
Oh, you better believe they can.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
Oh, there's so many examples in the earth, so many
examples in history where one man, where one woman made
a difference and changed a whole perspective of society and
even changed the world. One man, one woman. You, my friend,
have a gift. You I said, you have a gift

(18:00):
on the inside of you. Really that we need in
this world. Okay, you see all of the negative negativity
that's going on. Well, I'm here to tell you today
that you are the answer. You are the answer to
a quest. You are the answer to a problem, and
there's a reward waiting for you because you solved a problem.

(18:25):
You are intelligent. It doesn't matter what the people on
the street told you when you were coming up. It
doesn't matter the nicknames that they gave you because of
the way that you acted. It doesn't matter because you
might have been slower, learning, comprehending than everybody else in
the class. It doesn't matter, doesn't matter. You know your circumstances.

(18:51):
So I'm here to tell you that you have no excuse.
I'm here to render you without excuse, without a crutch
to use against your ability to make a difference here
in the earth. My friend, you stand before God at
the end of your days, who gave you your days.
When you stand before him, he's not going to accept

(19:13):
any excuse, the excuses. He knows what you've been through.
He already knew what you were going to go through
before you got here. And guess what it's supposed to
help build the character that's on the inside of you
and the.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
Trial that you're facing.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
All of the trials and things that you are facing
right now or even in your past, are proportionate to
the reward of the accomplishment and the achievement that you're
to make.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
They're proportionate to that.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
So if you have a dream, if you have a desire,
a purpose, or something, a goal or an endeavor, guess what,
It's not going to come without challenge. It's always gonna
come against some type of friction or resistance. Not everybody
is gonna be on your team. Not everybody is gonna
be your friend. Not everybody is gonna applaud you. Even

(20:10):
some close friends might walk away and even call you crazy.
But you have a dream, you have a goal, you
have a desire, and you are the only.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
One that can prevent it from coming to pass.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
It doesn't matter what the circumstance might be, it doesn't
matter what comes your way.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
I'm here to tell you that.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
You are the common denominator to make your dream come
to pass if you have the faith for it. God will,
God will cause everything to attract to you that you
need to accomplish your dream, your goal. My friends, make
life count. Write that book, record that CD, write that music.

(20:59):
Be the best, be a principle, Be the best ems
you can be, represent be the best doctor, be the
best lawyer.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
Stop lying.

Speaker 1 (21:10):
Tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
Be the absolute best because your integrity. Your integrity will
reward you. Your integrity will guide you whatever you choose
to be in life. A mechanic. It doesn't matter whether
you have a cleaning business. Be the absolute best. Use

(21:31):
integrity with everything that you do, and always with every job.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
Ask the Lord to help you.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
Ask the Lord to allow his beauty to shine through
you as you do that job. He's always watching, he's
always looking, and so you might think that you know
what you're doing might be in secret or hidden from
everybody's view.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
But my friends, we can't hide, we can't hide from God.
And what's the use. What is the use?

Speaker 1 (22:03):
Because be sure, my grandmother used to say, I believe
it's a scripture. Be sure your sins will find you out.
You can hide, you can cheat, you can steal. Be
sure that your sins will find you out. And you
know why, because you weren't created to bear sin. You

(22:23):
weren't created to live comfortably with sin, sickness, poverty, depression,
any of those things. That's not a part of your makeup.
Those things came from the outside in, not from God.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
That is not God's character.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
God's character is righteousness, peace, joy, in the Holy goes.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
That's his character.

Speaker 1 (22:50):
His righteousness is greatness, His way is wisdom, his way
is knowledge and understanding.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
And that, my friend, is in you.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
That's really the real you, because you've been created in
his image and in his likeness. I'm here to encourage
you tonight to make life count, not just your life,
but make others life count. Whose life is better because
you live? Whose life is better because you live?

Speaker 2 (23:20):
My friend? You have the goods. You have the goods,
What are you gonna do with them?

Speaker 1 (23:27):
Come on, get turn the TV off for a moment,
for a little while, so that you can read a book,
or do some self help or do some type of
research on something you know to make things better.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
Man, there's so much to do.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
There's problems everywhere, and there's enough for every one of
us to get a reward, enough for every one of
us to make a difference. And it's not about what
it's gonna do, what we can gain out of it.
A man's life doesn't consist in the abundance of things
that he has, how but your life will be fulfilled

(24:04):
when you know that you've expended all of your energy
in making this world a better place. My friends, don't stop.
Don't allow anybody to stop your progress. Nobody, nobody is
supposed to lord over you and put their thumb on
you and stop you from doing anything. If you got

(24:25):
the faith, if you've got the faith, you can accomplish anything.
Nothing is impossible with the Lord, nothing, absolutely nothing.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
Go for it.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
Walk in your greatness, my friends, and see what the
Lord will do with your life. Make life count. Stir
up the gift of God that's on the inside of you.
God has not giving you a spirit of fear, but
of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Make a difference in somebody's life. Let the real you,

(24:59):
the real me, emerge from underneath all of that baggage,
underneath all of that waste. Let the real me, the
real you, emerge. Come up, stand up in Jesus's name.
Let me pray because I believe this is impacting somebody's life,
and God wants to do something more in your life

(25:20):
than has been. So pray with me, Dear Heavenly Father.
I come before you right now. I thank you because
you made me. Thank you because you created me in
your image and in your likeness. You have a purpose
and a plan for my life. Come on, pray this
with me. You have a purpose and a plan for

(25:41):
my life. I've been living in my own way up
to this point, but tonight today I'm here to change
all of that. I'm here to give you lordship over
my life. I asked that you would come into my life.
I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God,

(26:02):
whom you sent to us to redeem us from our sins,
to save us from our stinking thinking, so that we
can live in righteousness. I asked that you will be
lord of my life. I give you my life right
now in Jesus's name. My friends, if you have done that,
I'm telling you today is the beginning of the rest

(26:24):
of your life. Your life will never be the same. No,
I mean earnestly yield that to the Lord and watch
your life change. The Lord heard you today. He understands.
He gets messages from your heart. Your heart speaks to him.
Man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks at
the heart. So if you were serious, if you really

(26:47):
met that, you watch your life change. I'm not sure
that all of your problems are going to dry up.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
I don't know about.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
All of that, but I know that you're going to
be a different person. Your life is going to be
more fulfilled because you live because God is using you.
So allow him to be Lord of your life today
and watch God move in your life. Thank you for
joining us once again for this Real Me podcast. Be

(27:14):
blessed and go and prosper in Jesus's name.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
