Speaker 1 (00:07):
Hello everybody. Hey, this is win for Duffy. I'm so
glad to be with you today. Thank you for joining
us once again for another real Me podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Amen.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
I believe the Lord got some wonderful things that he
wants to share with you today. It's going to transform
your life from what it is to what he really
wants it to be. Thank you for joining us, Thank
you for allowing me to invade your time.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
And we're just so glad to be here. What a
great day.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
This is the day that the Lord has made, and
we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Hallelujah.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Hey, listen, you know if with all the things that
are going on in the world today, wow, what a
great time to be alive.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
I believe that this is our finest hour.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
I believe that this is the time when you are supposed,
we are supposed to shine, you know, with God's glory
and the great that He put on our lives. I
believe this is now is the time for us to
show forth the gifts and talents and the ideas and
wonderful imaginations that the Lord has given to us, and
(01:13):
we're just supposed to sharing with the world. Really to
make a difference in the world to make things better.
Although there's eight billion people on the earth, guess what,
we can still make a difference as one individual, and
not just one individual, but collectively as we bring our
gifts and talents together. I believe that we are to
affect the world and just invade the world with the
(01:35):
glory of God. That's his desire, and that's why he
saved us. That's why he put on the inside of
us the gifts and talents that each one of us
have that nobody else can do except us, that each
one of us can do. That's why he gave you
your own voice tone. That's why he gave your own character.
That's why he gave you your own color, your own everything,
(01:59):
your hair color. Yeah, that's why he made you who
you are. You're unique and special to the world. And
so this podcast is called Real Me, the Real You,
and that's the person that we want to develop today
because you are special, you unique in your own right.
God was not sorry when he made you. He was
(02:22):
very intentional when he made you. And we need you
here in the earth. We need what's on the inside
of you to make a difference in the earth. There's
a subject that the Lord been speaking to my heart
about that I want to share with you.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
And it's called the Secret Place. The Secret Place.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
Yeah, And amid all of the trials, tribulations, the violence,
the crime, the political unrest, the just all kinds of
things that are going on in the world, there's a
place that you can run to. It's called the Secret Place,
that you can hide away, that you can get peace
of mind, you know, to deal with all of the
(03:05):
things that are going through your own personal trials, your
own personal situations and problems, the things that you face,
and not just the only things that you face, but
all of the collective things that are happening around you.
God's put an answer on the inside of you. In fact,
he is the answer because he lives on the inside
of you, and he wants to use your voice, your character,
(03:27):
and everything that you are to make a difference in
this world.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
But I want to talk to you about the Secret
Place today.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
And so somebody might ask Duffy, what in the world
are you talking about and what does that mean? And
so most of us have an idea of you know,
what it means in the natural sets, but very few
understand what it means in the spiritual sets and the natural.
For example, let's put it this way. You remember that
childhood game that we used to play, hide and seek, Well,
(03:59):
hide and seek, where one person covers his eyes and
counts to one hundred by five, five, ten, fifteen, twenty,
you know, all the way up to one hundred, while
the others run and hide and find a secret place,
you know, hoping to evade the person that's counting, and
so so that the person hiding finds a spot to
(04:24):
reach let me say this over so, while the other person,
while the others are running and hiding and in a
secret place, hoping to evade the person seeking to find them.
After reaching one hundred, the person hiding finds a spot,
hoping to keep themselves from being detected, so that the
(04:47):
hider can run back to the seeker's original counting spot
and be safe before being found. Y'all remember that game
hide and seek? Well, it's similar in some sense the
spiritual secret place. The secret place I'm talking about I'm
referring to it is alone. Listen to this alone with God,
(05:11):
our Creator. That secret place, being alone with your maker,
the most intimate place that as human beings we can be.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
With our Maker.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
The one who gives us purpose, the one who has
the original plan really for our for our existence.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
He's the one. Imagine, imagine this.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Being in a place where you and God are face
to face, and everything on the outside of that relationship
is a distant, second, second place. Everything pales in comparison
to being face to face with God. Yes, I'm talking
about you can be that close, that that intimate with God.
(06:00):
And it's called the Secret Place, and He wants us
to be. That's the space each of us, the space
in each of us that's exclusive to the Almighty God,
the almighty creator of all things, the everlasting Father, the
one who designed us and inserted us in each one
(06:23):
of us.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
Into the era of time that we exist in.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
There is a space carved out in each person that
only God fits in.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Did you hear that?
Speaker 1 (06:38):
There's a space on the inside of every human being
that's carved out.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Exclusively for God. Nothing else will fit.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
No drug, no alcohol, no habit, persons, men, females, doesn't
matter or possession can fill that space inside mankind because
it's specifically reserved for God himself. Nothing outside of him
can satisfy or occupy that space. You know, whether a
(07:10):
person believes or doesn't believe in God.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
Because we were created.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
In His image and in his likeness, no man can
truly say that there is no God. Listen, let me
say that one more time, whether a person believes or
does not believe in God, because we were created in
His image and in his likeness. Yes, man, woman, you
(07:39):
were created in the image of God and in his likeness.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
No man can truly say that there is no God.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
The Holy Scriptures even say this, say that only a
fool says in his heart that there is no God,
only a fool. But you're not a fool, are you.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
You're not a fool that there's a God.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
All you got to do is just look around you
and see and all you got You can't see the wind,
but you know the wind is blowing.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
There's a God. Something causes all of that to move.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
No, no, no, somebody and his name is God, Almighty Jehovah, God,
the most High, the possessor of heaven and earth.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Yes, he's that God.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
He's the one who creates all things and he's the
one that makes everything move. So back to the secret place.
It's the place where each of us can go. Listen
to this It's the place where each of us can
go to receive peace from chaos and confusion, rest, safety
(08:44):
from trouble, direction for our lives, our identity about.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
Who we are, about who God created us to.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Be, and instruction for what to do with our lives.
It's the secret place that we can find that in.
God has a plan, my friend. God has a plan
and a purpose for everything. He has a plan and
a purpose for your life, for everything and everyone that
He created and has stated in Ecclesiasts, the Book of Ecclesiasts,
(09:19):
the third chapter and the first verse, it says, to
everything there is a season and a time to every
purpose under the heaven, and even the.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
End of the matter. Check this out.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
The end of the matter is spelled out for us
in Ecclesias twelve and thirteen, verse thirteen. It says this,
let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter. Fear
God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole
duty of man. That's Ecclesiastes twelve and verse thirteen, and
(09:56):
then Romans fourteen and twelve says this, So then every
one of us shall give an account of himself to God,
my friend. Whether you believe in God or not. When
it's time for you to go and stand before your maker,
your creator, each one of us has to give an
account to God, our Father, for ourselves. In fact, we
(10:20):
can't stand there and say, Mama did it, Papa did it.
Now we have to stand and give an account to
God for ourselves, for the gifting, for the life that
he put on the inside of each one of us.
We have to stand, Yes, what did you do in
this earth while while we were here, while we existed? So,
(10:41):
God the Father created us for his pleasure because he
wanted and still wanted, still wants to have an intimate
relationship with each of us, because he loves us, and
he's very compassionate. He's very passionate about us, My friend.
He gave his only begotten son, Jesus, to die for
(11:08):
us and to buy us back from Satan's grip, to
give to gain many more sons to have a relationship with. Hallelujah,
I'm glad about that. Jesus the Father gave his only
son to the worlds to gain us back, to buy
(11:28):
us back, to get us back from Satan's grip, so
that he could have a relationship with us. Yes, with you, God,
the Father wants to have a relationship with you. It
doesn't matter. What you've done, doesn't matter. You know, where
you've been, doesn't matter. And he's not holding any of
that against you. He's not here to condemn you. He
(11:50):
loves you so much that he gave his only begotten son,
Jesus the Christ, to buy us back, to redeem us
back to God, so that we can have a relationship
with him. God, our Father, is willing to commune with
each with us each time we come to him.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
He's never too busy.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
In fact, he's always standing ready to talk to us.
That's how much he loves you, my friends. Really, you
just need to believe it. Hear what I'm saying today.
He's always standing ready to receive us, and to talk
(12:35):
to us, and to commune with us. He says in Isaiah,
he says, Come now, he's inviting us. Come now, let
us reason together. It doesn't matter what you've done. Though
your sins be a scarlet, he'll make them whiter than snow,
though they be red as crimson, He'll make them as wool.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
So you'll be clean before him.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
And because of Jesus Christ, he made us the righteousness
of God, he made us his righteousness.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
He's never too busy.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
He wants to fellowship with us, he wants to embrace us,
comfort us, and the list goes on. The Secret Place
is really our own personal getaway from all of the noise.
The Secret Place our own personal getaway from the noise.
(13:28):
We've got so many distractions, all of the distractions away
from all of the cares of life, and we got
stuff just constantly bombarding us, inundating us, you know, with situations. Man,
we got to take care of this, We got to
take care of that, and all of these things weigh
us down.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
But God wants to give us his peace.
Speaker 1 (13:54):
The Secret Place is also the place where we can
receive answers to whatever questions we have in our lives
and problems, challenges and situations we face, or just to
receive peace of mind knowing that Daddy God is with
us and having the insurance, the assurance.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
Of knowing that He will never leave us nor forsake
because did you hear that.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Yes, you can use the Secret Place really just as
a getaway, just to be in the presence of God.
And in the presence of God there's the fullness of
joy at his right hand.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
There are pleasures forevermore.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
You can find peace, safety, whatever you need, salvation, whatever
you need, whatever is going on in your life. God
knows already. He knows what we have need of, even
before we ask him. He already knows. Nothing's hidden from him.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
Listen.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
I remember back in January twenty twenty one. I was
in the hospital fighting COVID nineteen in the ICU, lying
in the bed with my eyes open after being inturbated
on life support for a few days, not knowing whether
(15:15):
I would live or die. I prayed in my heavenly
language after.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
I came out of the intubation.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
I was praying in my heavenly language language while watching
the medical staff running about caring for me.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
And a host of other people that were in there.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
At the same time, I heard the voice of the
Lord say close your eyes while I was praying, because
I had my eyes open and I was distracted by
everything that was going on around me. And he said
close your eyes, and I did while continuing to pray
(15:59):
in my heavenly langug wuage. I was still distracted by
my surroundings and other thoughts with my eyes closed.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
And you know how when you close your eyes.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
You can still, you can still, You're still aware of
everything that's going on around you.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
But then after I closed my eyes, I heard.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
The voice of the Lord say this, Now, come behind
the veil into the secret place.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
I immediately silenced my thoughts.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
I silenced the noise, all of the imaginations, and I
focused my attention on our creator, our God, a healer,
the giver and sustainer of life. And Oh when I did, Oh,
(16:56):
when I did, my praying got more intense and pointed.
My human spirit took over, and the Holy Spirit began
making intercession for me. And you know, being drawn into
that secret place is similar to this, similar to when
(17:17):
you just when you stop and you just fall asleep,
or you know, you just stop and you rest for
a while and then you drift off into sleep. You
actually go into another dimension, you know, you go into
dreamland and go into dream world and you become unconscious
(17:38):
to your surroundings. It's similar to that, but I'm talking
about even deeper. The Holy Spirit began making intercession for
me when I was drawn into that secret place with
the Lord, and I asked the Lord, I said, Father,
I need for you to fight for me, because I
(17:59):
was too week to fight for myself, and shortly there
after my friends, things started changing.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
I mean, he responded to my prayer.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
Man, My lungs started clearing up, my strength started returning,
and my situation was turning around for the better. And
before long, I was being discharged to go home. Hallelujah.
In the Secret Place, I was at total peace in
(18:31):
the presence of my Savior.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
His love is so amazing and complete.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
I don't know if you've ever experienced that or not,
but his love is so amazing and complete. And guess
what it, man, all of the stuff that I've done
in my life. Man, he wasn't trying to condemn me.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
Man.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
His love was just so encompassing and so inviting and comforting. Man,
he was really just drawing me closer to him.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
You know.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
The Father doesn't He doesn't want us to visit the
Secret Place periodically, but he longs for us to dwell.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
There, abide in, and live there.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
The moment Jesus died on the Cross, darkness covered the sky.
A great earthquake rumbled the land and the veil of
the temple. The Bible says that was the curtain that
separated the inner court from.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
The Holy of Holies.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
The veil of the temple was rent into, was torn
in two from top to bottom. So the arc of
the Covenant was exposed. Now, that's when Jesus died, and
the Lord did that himself by making an earthquake, causing
an earthquake to happen. Yes, the earth became subject to
(20:00):
the death of our Lord Jesus Christ. The dying of
our Lord Jesus Christ, my God, the creator of all
was hanging on the cross for us. Colossius tells us
that Jesus is the one that created all things.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
He's the pre eminent one. He created all things.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
And so when Jesus died, he gave his life and
said it is finished man.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
Darkness covered the sky.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
And the earth began to rumble, and earth there was
an amazing earthquake and shook the temple. Yes, and the
veil of the temple tore into, exposing the Ark of
the Covenant. So that now he gave us access to
the Ark of the Covenant. So the Ark of the
(20:48):
Covenant was where the presence of God appeared on the
mercy seat. That mercy seed is right over top of
the Ark of the Covenant, right on the lid in
between the two cherubims, and the presence of God would visit.
The presidence of God would appear right there on the
(21:09):
mercy sea. Hollylujah, aren't you glad about it? I'm glad now.
The Lord invites us into the secret place. And it's
by the blood of Jesus, so that we can fellowship
and commune and converse with him freely.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
And Hebrews the fourth chapter.
Speaker 1 (21:28):
In the sixteenth verse, he says this, let us therefore
come boldly to the throne of Grace, that we may
obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
The Father longs for us to come to his holy presence,
his loving presence, to fellowship with him.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
He longs for it.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
He's inviting you to come. He's saying come. The spirit
of the Lord is saying, come, come on. It doesn't
matter what you've done, just come, come, go on, come
to me. I'll fill your treasures. I'll give you peace,
I'll give you comfort, I'll love you. Let's talk about this.
It's okay, listen. I'm not condemning you. I'm not condemning you.
(22:13):
I love you, and I'm calling to the person that
I created is what he's saying, So he's not trying
to condemn us, but he wants to cleanse us and
help us in this life that he gave to us
in his presence, the Bible says, is the fullness of joy, peace, safety, blessings, favor,
(22:37):
and everything we need to fulfill our.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
Assignment here on the earth.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Psalm ninety one gives us a detailed description of the
benefits of dwelling in the secret Place.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
With the Father. Pal ninety one. Read that sixteen verses
Paw ninety one.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
He that dwells in the secret Place of the Most
High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I
will say of the Lord, he is my refuge and
my fortress, my God.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
In him, will I trust?
Speaker 1 (23:09):
Surely he shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler,
and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover me with
his feathers, and under his wings. Shall I trust His
truth shall be my shield and buckler. I shall not
be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the
(23:31):
arrow that flies by day, nor for the pestilence that
walks in darkness, nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at my side, and ten thousand
at my right hand, but it shall not come nigh
me thee. Only with mine eyes shall I behold and
see the reward of the wicked. Because I have made
(23:53):
the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High
my habitation. There shall no evil before me. Because I
dwell in the secret place of the most High, no
evil shall befall me. Neither shall any plague come nigh
my dwelling. For He shall give his angels charge over
me to keep me in all my ways. They shall
(24:15):
bear me up in their hands. Lest I dash my
foot against the stone, I shall tread upon the lion
and the adder, the young lion and the dragon shall
I trample under feet. And because I have set my
love upon him, and because he has set his love
upon me, therefore will he deliver me? He said, He'll
set me on high because I have known his name,
(24:37):
and because he has known my name. I shall call
upon him and he will answer me. He said, He'll
be with me in trouble. He will deliver me and
honor me with long life. Will will he satisfy me
and show me his salvation? That's what I found out
in this secret Place in Psalm ninety one. That's what
(25:00):
I found out. And it's not just because it's written, well,
not because it's just in the Bible, but I've experienced
it myself being in the secret Place. My friends, if
you need hope, if you need healing, if you need salvation, answers, peace, provision,
if you need a spouse, directions, etc. Whatever you need,
(25:24):
you can find whatever you need. And the Secret Place
of the Most High, the Almighty, he wants to give
you these things. He wants you to enjoy the life
that he's given to you, and he wants you to
be effective with the life that he's given to you.
Not just live, you know, and just blow it, just
consume everything. But no, he wants you to give. He
(25:46):
wants you to impact this earth with the glory of God,
with the gift that He puts on the inside of you.
And so one might ask, you know, how do I
enter into this secret place? Well, I'm glad you ask.
I have an answer for you. So a great place
to start, A great place to start is by listen
(26:07):
to this. I know you've got a lot of stuff
going on, So here's your answer.
Speaker 2 (26:13):
Just carve out some time in your ever so busy schedule.
Carve out.
Speaker 1 (26:20):
It doesn't matter. It's no requirement on how much time
you carve out. But carve out some time. You can
make space for everything else, but carve out some time
for the Lord who gives you that time.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
How about whether it.
Speaker 1 (26:33):
Could be in the morning, it could be in the evening,
it could be late in the midnight hour. Carve out
some time to spend with God the Father, to find
that secret place. Enter there, and my God, your life
will be so much, so much more effective and greater.
Speaker 2 (26:51):
Be still. Psalm forty six and verse ten says this,
be still, and know that I am God.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
You got stuff going on, and I know you're busy.
Speaker 2 (27:03):
But God is the one that gives you that time.
And how about you know, if.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
Your life isn't there, guess what your schedule goes out
the window. If your health isn't there, guess what your
schedule goes out the window? My friends, while you live,
while you have breath in your body and the ability
and find yourself a piece of time in the twenty
(27:30):
four hours that every single human being has, find yourself
a few minutes or hours or whatever, and just to
give to your creator. Find yourself in a secret place
and quiet your soul, be still and know that he's God.
And I promise you you'll get more miles per gallon out
(27:52):
of your life. He says, he'll give you long life
and length of days when you're in his presence. Next question,
should I tell God all of my problems and then
listen for the answers on.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
How to deal with them? Well, let's put it this way.
You know, every.
Speaker 1 (28:14):
Setting or every assembly or whatever has a protocol, and
so some one hundred answers that question, some one hundred.
Verse four says, enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and
into his courts with praise, be thankful unto him, and
bless his name.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
So imagine this.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
So rather than just bringing your problems to God, imagine this.
Imagine you entering into a king's throne throne room. You know,
the king is sitting on the throne, or judge sitting
on the bench or whatever.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
Man, you don't just roll up to.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
The king or the judge, you know, and just start
speaking or just start talking about your problems, and you
honor that person. You honor the king, you bow before
the king, you honor the judge, you know, by giving
them the honor that they're due. You know, you tell
(29:16):
them you know how much you appreciate them, or whatever.
And so you honor him by acknowledging who he is,
giving him the utmost respect and reverence, thanking him for
his goodness, his mercy, grace, and unwavering love for us.
You come into his presence offering to him the praise
that he is so worthy of. He kept us alive.
(29:41):
We're still breathing. He watched over us. And then afterwards,
after you have given them praise and you've given them
honor and glory, and if you're not so caught up, hey,
then if you can still remember your problems, then share
them with him. You know, there's a saying that circulates
through the church, and I've used it several times myself.
(30:03):
When I think of the goodness of Jesus and all
that He's done for me, my soul, Christ, hallelujah, thank
you Lord for saving me. And what that simply means
is when I get caught up in the praises of
God man, all of a sudden, you know, the problems
and situations that I have is pale in comparison. You know,
(30:24):
Psalm thirty four says, I will bless the Lord at
all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth,
no matter what's going on around me. And then just
I think it's the first three, it says, Oh, magnify
the Lord with me, let us exalt his name together.
So what that means, I'm magnifying God more than my
(30:45):
problems and more than the things that are going on
with me. He already knows what I have need, even
before I come to what I have need of, even
before I ask him. So as you grow in relationship
with the Father, you'll find he's more willing to help
you and to give you.
Speaker 2 (31:02):
What you need.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
Then he's more willing to help you and to give
you what you need more than what you really have
need of. He's more willing to help you and to
give you what you need than you are in need of.
Whatever it is you need. I hope you got that.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
He's just that kind of God. Hallelujah.
Speaker 1 (31:29):
He's a providing God, he's a worthy God.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
He's a protector. He's our joy, he's our salvation.
Speaker 3 (31:35):
So come on, relax, quiet down, smaller down, man, smaller down,
Calm down, and enter into the secret place with the Father.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
You'll be glad you did.
Speaker 1 (31:52):
Thank you everybody for joining us for another podcast, another
real Meat podcast, and I pray I already know that
I said something that can change your life life. It's
now a matter of you applying what you just heard.
I'm not responsible so much for what you hear. I'm
only responsible for what I say, and how you hear
is up to you. Receive what I say, Receive what
(32:16):
you just heard. I believe it's the voice of the
Lord inviting you into the secret place. He knows what's
going on in your life. He knows every problem, every situation,
and he's got the wisdom direction for your life. Find
yourself in the secret place of the most time.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
