(00:00):
Throughout time, I've seen many differentpeople, people who like all guides of
music, and we got a greatshow coming here way today I've learned that
music is what feelings sounds like.Follow me on my journey to discover new

(00:21):
music, news styles, and newpeople. Welcome. This is real thought,
real music here on the LDM Radiostation. Hello and welcome to the
LDM Radio station. Thank you, ladies and gentlemen for listening. And this
is real talk, real music.Where the place where we do what the
title says, we really just talkcrap and we talk about music. But

(00:45):
today I have the privilege of havingfour time LDM Music Award winner, two
time three time nominee. So thisguy has cash it in like crazy.
Uh I'm sorry, five time nominee, four time winner. Uh so you
know he he's doing good. He'sdoing good. One out of uh four

(01:07):
out of five fourty five ladies andgentlemen, is a cha Sam, Oh
man, it's great, you know. I was. I was like,
oh man, here we go.When when we've seen the uh the tally
up come and we've seen the papercome printing out, I've seen your name,
I say, oh wow, watershockers about it? You know,

(01:34):
because it's you know, my personallife things is going on. So yeah,
I stopped campaigning for like a coupleof months. I may thank thank
when everybody was still voting and keptup with thank you. Everybody kept voting
out of hey listen, they keptgoing. Uh this year, I think
since it was a little bit bettersince we're merging with uh rocal TV uh

(01:57):
last dot dot FM, castle fromthe voting is a little different. Okay,
So now they have where the personcan say, hey, I want
to hear this song and it sendsme a thing, So that's a vote,
you know what I mean. Soyeah, but they gotta actually go
on and listen to the radio station. But it's gonna it's gonna get,
uh hopefully better and better as wegrow, you know, we we learned.

(02:20):
But listening to your songs, Iwas like, okay, but you
were going against other people that werewe're big there, yeah you know,
yeah, the competition and it's gettingbigger and bigger as so, yeah,
it was really incredible to the uhit's such a good company categories, you

(02:40):
know, and being nominated and hearingthe other nominees music all it's like,
well this is it's gonna be big, right, yeah, it is cause
you know you were on pop andhip hop right yeah. And the pop
I know, there was people likeIdentity was on there. Uh, and

(03:06):
there was a couple of other ones, and reggae even stepped up this year.
Because the reggae songs that were nominenominees, I applaud because I was
like, yes, finally the peoplegot it right. The people got it
correct. Yeah, you know, because some people are like, oh,
I'm gonna pick this guy because he'smy friend. But then when you listen
to the song, like that's noteven reggae, that's not even like not

(03:29):
even the beat of you know, but this time they got it correctly or
four uh, you know, honestly, I think each category, uh,
I say, maybe gospel they slippeda little bit. There was one song
that I was mad. I wasmad it slipped by, and I'm like

(03:51):
yeah, and all the numbers werelike so close. I know you I
think was one or two away fromwinning. Oh shit, so hey,
this is the podcast they know, but it was like one or two away
from losing that. So, likeI said, every every little vote counts

(04:13):
and at the end when it taliesup and you know, and we're we're
not the ones picking, you knowwhat I mean. So oh yeah,
let's see when when you got twohundred and sign people right and you you
know you you you outdo every singleone to reach the top. So but
if you guys are listening, uh, we're speaking about a little bit about

(04:33):
the LDM Radio Music Awards. Uh. They vote every single week, uh
for about six months. But thosevotes tally up for the top tens of
the week, so you know, you know, more or less of what
you do. The tally ups comefrom voting online, from requesting or listening
to the songs, because if you'relistening to the radio and you cut off

(04:57):
the radio in the middle of thesong, it's not gonna add as a
vote. You have to listen tothat whole song so they can know,
Hey, y'all listen to that song, you know, like I hope y'all
listening and taking it in. Butyes, I wanna tell y'all how important
it is to support independent artists. You know, yes, you don't have
the major label backing and the resources, but we have our support as you

(05:17):
guys it started, So it's veryimportant to support independent artists anyway, like
share votes, you know, allright, you have to, especially the
sharing part. I I I've seena couple of people that I don't know
sharing and saying wow, I neverheard this person, saw they liking.

(05:39):
I heard independent artists telling me,yo, thank you. I had a
lot of people saying that they heardme and they you know, they started
liking my page. And that's exactlyknow what it is. I gained a
lot of fans, uh, justbeing on LVM radio and performing at the
award, Yes, being nominated openwith my music to so many other people,

(06:01):
not just in New York who radioin Texas, yeah, different states.
I get the messages and I'm like, yo, this is pretty incredible,
and it's like, uh, whenwas it two weeks ago? I
think it was. I woke upto a bunch of Facebook messages and one
of them was a news in Australiatalking about the us M radio that you

(06:24):
know, uh, the Destiny bandours has won another award. And then
they named uh the jazz singers andstuff from Australia who were nominees and happen
to people I didn't even know theywere from Australia that were nominees. But
so yeah, all down Under.I thought, you know, I didn't
even know they like sing like that. Yeah, but they just played with

(06:46):
the kangaroos. That's it. Butshout out, you know, because you
know, you think about it Australialike mm. But they got good singers
out there, you know, anduh, Canada has a lot of good
rock singers. So yeah, it'sa lot of times. Do we have

(07:08):
any more? Yeah, we had. Oh I think they just imagine who
was the rock uh singers? Ithink they were kind of there. There
was a couple of them there, but all around Tennessee, Texas. Like
you said, they they all aroundand then you just like took o la
last year. You was just likeI think here, if he would have

(07:30):
gone for every single one, hewould have probably won every single one.
It was like the crowd, youknow, the family was like eighty percent.
Yeah check your mike, double checkhave you turned it off? But
uh, uh probably heard him throughhere through this mike. Okay, so

(07:54):
lucky we got two mikes here, but uh we we basically your family was
there. Uh your mom was there, you know, and you know,
I was glad I got to meether. She's so funny and everything she
was there screaming out and I waslike, oh my god, it's not

(08:15):
even my mom my, mom uslistening. Listen. She her pride is
through the roof when it comes toher children, and seeing me in my
element is one of her favorite things, you know, as you know,
seeing my brother in this element,my sister's in the element. She's a
very proud mother. Oh my god, I love that. That That's day.

(08:37):
That day was crazy because you know, you can see it in her
eyes, like when you were performingand she was like wow. And then
the icing undercake is when they calledyour name. You know, it was
like okay, and then you calledyour name. Then two weeks later,
still calling name. I'm surprised becauseshe knows all the choreography, Like she
she watches the videos over and overand over again, and like at the

(09:01):
most random time, she'll bust outthe choreography and everything. So that's what
I thought she's gonna do. Atlast years Awards. Yeah, I was.
I was waiting for him, like, I know, up, she
was good, you know. Soyou know, we shot out your mom
on this awards Royal blue all theway because I know that's her color.
Yea, you know, so youknow, we were telling people that's nice,

(09:24):
uh viro g have royal blue, and I was like, you know,
that's Mom's color stuff like that.So she was like, oh wow,
like you know some people. Soyou know, we try to do
a theme, but you know, people don't listen, but people want to
do what they want to do.Yeah, that's really dopey, but you
know it was a shout out tothem. But your your music? Now,

(09:46):
you got more music coming up?Yes, yes, yes, so
I'm writing some new music. I'mnot one hundred percent sure if I want
to do another album yet, butwhat I do have is a collection of
singles that I've been working on.So just last week, I put a
snippet out of an unreleased record Idid about a month and a half ago.
You know that you say unreleased. We had identity last week here and

(10:13):
then I was talking to one ofthe artists and they said, since they've
been coming like nominees or even topten, they've been going into their closet
and bringing out these unreleased songs.Exactly. I still had like eight songs
from when I was recording Armenia.I still have eight songs during that period
that I haven't haven't and yeah,I haven't put out, so I don't

(10:37):
know. I might just go backand dust those off and touch those up,
and there's different genres. So sothat's the really cool part. That's
it's more incredible when when you're like, Okay, I forgot about this one
song right exactly exactly. But whenyou bring out a song that you never
released, do you change it?Or you'd be like, you know what,

(10:58):
it's good like that, I changeit. I gotta change it.
If I if it's good like that, then it would have been on an
album, you know what I mean. So it was something wrong with it
that I wasn't feeling at that moment. But when you go back and look
at it with fresher eyes and fresherears, then you can really adapt or
add on take away. So that'sjust where I'm at now, Like I'm

(11:20):
writing new material. I got thenew unreleased song that I didn't put out.
I'm still working on it. Andthen I got the other plethora songs
from art Mainia that I didn't putout. So because some of the songs
like to me, I think maybeit wasn't the right time frame for that.
Maybe it was beyondest right reach.Yeah, yeah, yeah, you
know, like you made a songthat's not good now, but in the

(11:41):
future it's gonna be right right,so it could happen or like you said,
like just maybe tweeted here, tweetedthere and it you know, and
it becomes absolutely, so absolutely that'strue. I'm hoping. I'm I can't
wait to hear some more. It'sso funny. I believe the second verse
from Adios it's from a whole differentsong that I that I've written like a

(12:03):
year prior. And when I startedwriting Audios, I had to the hook.
I had the first verse and thesecond verse. I was just you
know, got a little writer's block, and I'm like, wait a minute,
and i went back in the archivesand files and I'm like, well,
let me see if copy places thisverse, see if that flows,
and I'm like there we go,oh wow, hey, merging songs together

(12:24):
to make one great song, andit's and it became an award winning song,
thank you, thank you then andnumber one and number one a few
times. So I'm shocked. Likesometimes when I see the top tens,
I'm like, m like, howthis person got up to the top ten.
So I gotta listen to that song. But if you're in top ten

(12:46):
something, and I'd be shocked atsome of these songs, I'm like,
whoa, Okay, they got agood hook, you got a good night,
you know, especially the pop songsthat came out this year so far.
Uh, they I don't know.To me, I think they half
of them are taking it back,oh, you know, to bringing electronics
and stuff into the you know, like the yeah, like you know that

(13:07):
song, let the music play.I heard some songs like that. I'm
like, Wow, they're taking itback. See, I love I love
shit, like, excuse my language, I love that. I love that.
Yeah, I love that. Ithelps because to me, pop music
was like that popping, Electronic waspretty much you know, and techno was
pretty much the same. And they'retaking it back, and R and B

(13:28):
of course, you know, shoutoutsto the few people that are bringing baby
baby making music, making music, because that's why to me, R and
B right, right, So I'mthinking this year is a take back here
because some people are coming back.I'm loving it. I'm loving it man.
So it's good. But like yousaid, your songs are, it's

(13:50):
been good, you know, sofar, you put every single one,
and every single one has became evena nominee Top Ten's Top fifties. You
know you never even dropped up ontop fifties. Yeah, oh wow,
so I don't. I've never seenyou once you were up there, you
up there right done, you know, up and down of course ye never,
yeah, I know. That's that'swhat shocked me. Would just say

(14:11):
about life. It will I know, what's in and out the top ten,
like it will be there full weekand it'll be going for two weeks,
it will come back for two weeksand then it'll be going. So
I was like, but the goodthing about it, like I said,
about two hundred and maybe close tothree hundred, it was still the top
fifties, right. So and thenwhen you guys go to the LDM radio
dot com, it'll say top fifties, but you gotta look at their gender.

(14:33):
It could be like twenty five, but you still know you still number
one and yeah yeah yeah, soyou know, uh, and that's something
that we're going to probably change. We'll probably be putting like number twenty five,
but number two in your category.Okay, you know, give a
little person, uh, because itpushes the people me as if I was
an artist, I'd be like lastmonth, I was twenty five. Now

(14:56):
I'm twenty eight. I gotta push, I gotta Yeah. Yeah, that's
exactly what what was so and performingwise, Uh, I've seen you were
performing like a lot. Yeah, that was a busy year. It was
a busy time. You know, the art Mania album it just came out,
so you know, I had todo the Pride events and and different

(15:18):
things, and it was so fun. It was so cool to get out
there and just doing everything different, you know, like everything down to the
outfits. You know, we experimentedart Mania. We did crazy colors,
wet things about the outfits. I'llhave to say. Me and the girls.
Me and the girls, we wetalk and we really, uh you

(15:39):
know, buckle down on it anddecide what we want to do. We
bounce ideas of each other. Hey, just listen. You know guys they
heck of a dancers. They audistthemselves. You know, they got their
little things here and there. Can'twait to see you know, escape,
you know, come back and escapeand come back like that. So that
would be great. You have anyidea of you doing a small concert for

(16:02):
yourself or yeah, yeah, Iactually was putting together. I was in
the middle of putting together my ownconcert earlier this year, and you know,
I just had to take a stepback from it. But I'm thinking
of picking it back up and ordoing like a small tour. I would
love to put together a small tour. Yeah, We've always been dreaming about

(16:23):
that, you know, LDM Radiotour. You know, even though body
be the Five Boroughs for now,you know, on a tour until you
because I don't even really consider NewJersey, uh right there, so but
uh yeah, tours are are good, even for the independent artist. I
tell you this much. If youhave the opportunity to go from town to

(16:45):
town to perform, it's a tour. Don't don't underestimated. Don't let no
one downgrade it for you and belike, oh, a tour, you're
supposed to be going to here andthen Puerto Rico, exact maker and no,
you know exactly that. That's whatI was saying with the last summer,
the art Mania summer performances, whenI was in the Bronx. Then

(17:06):
I was in Staten Island and Iwent all the way to Philly, So
that was kind of like a littletour in itself. So I guess that's
where I got the buck from.So I definitely want to do that,
even if it's in the Five Boroughs. Start there, and you know,
and I would like to have likean ensemble, not just me, Like
I would like to have about likethree more artists with me, you know.
And we do like a little smalltour around New York City. It
works. We're you know, we'rein the midst of trying to do uh

(17:30):
stuffing like that. But they keepasking us to do so many different tours
and I'm like, I don't know, you know, country to our jazz,
and I'm like, yeah, wegot all the genres, but you
know, we don't got the manpower, so you know, so I have
to pick and choose which ones arewe gonna do? But uh, now
you got another award. Uh sowhere's that going to go from now?

(17:55):
Like, oh, so where's itgonna go for now? Well, right
now, I'm just recharging. Honestlyspeaking, I'm recharging getting back into my
element little by little. I don'twant to rush it. I don't like
to rush anything. So what Ican say, there will be a new
single by November. There will bea new single by November, So that's

(18:21):
what I can say. So fromthere, just gonna keep it rocket.
I got some other amazing projects goingon, but I don't I don't want
to speak too much on it.You know, I got a bad habit
of doing that. Why he's tryingto say is you guys got up to
November to pick up your your yourslack because he's coming. He's coming for
the gold again. Oh yeah, yeah, it's it's gonna be big this

(18:44):
summer. Like I'm thinking bigger, you know, I'm coming back, bigger,
coming back. You never thought aboutdoing another gendre another genre. Yeah,
Actually, what I was thinking aboutwas doing was rock. I was
thinking about doing rock. Actually havelike two rock songs that's in the archives
from Armenia, So I type ofrock like heavy metal, pop rock or

(19:10):
one is alternative okay, and theother it's, uh, it's a bit
heavy metal, it has some pophip hop elements in it, you know.
So just dabbling in rock. Sothat's something I'm definitely interested. That's
another genre right there. Yeah.I would love to hear people when they
mix because nowadays they'd be like,oh, this is pop rock or this

(19:32):
is r and B pop or andthen when you listen to it, it's
like it's neither. You know,it don't have no R and B.
It doesn't really have no pop init all. Of course you call it
this, you know, but it'slike hip hop U and rock. You
know. Like the only one thatI say that ever made it like that
was rum DMC when he did whenthey did Walk This Way. You hear

(19:56):
the hip hop and you hear therock. That's why you know. To
me, you know, some peoplebecause they got the little country uh slang
and they're doing it. They're doinga hip hop but it's not still country
hip hop. I've never exactly likeone of the songs are Arminia, the
stage is bleeding, like I know, I feel like it's predominant, predominantly

(20:17):
a hip hop song, but youhave the electric guitar in the background,
so I have that little bit ofthat little rock element, you know what
I mean. So that's just ataste of what I was talking about,
you know, like, so hiphop then it pop. I would love,
love, love to start going intorock so that you could probably look
forward to that too. All right, well, Jayson, thank you for

(20:37):
coming and show you know things, but guys, it's not over. As
soon as this is done. Youcan hear his song played right after this.
So and then check them out.Let them know where they can find
