you in it there name now, Beatrice, I need to
(01:42):
ask you before we get into our recap. After watching
the episode, did you have any takeaways, any thoughts, any feelings,
big feelings that you had to let out, big feelings.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
I don't know if I got a takeaway. Besides Lydia
looks gorgeous. I can't really every dress I can't take it, dude,
every single one. I'm just like, fuck you gorgeous.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
My takeaway is that Veronica is a monster. And as
I was watching this, who was trying to read her
aura and her energy and her vibes vibe check and
my thing was like, what's your astrological sign? Because you're
giving Gemini like you're giving toxic, out of control, coddled Gemini.
(02:29):
You're also giving some fire signs. You're giving some aries. Yeah,
you're giving some aries Mars maybe maybe maybe Scorpio, but no,
because with Scorpio they're a bit more reserved. They're definitely plottin. Yeah,
for sure, they can definitely be monsters, but they're waiting
for the right moment just to sting your ass, whereas
(02:51):
Veronica's just barfing her vitriol and her poison and her
abuse over everybody and everything. I'm like, what's your sign.
I want to know your son's sign. I want to
know your moon, I want to know your risings. It
is your absolute free radical psycho. I bet she's like fire.
She's got to have some fire energy, because that's the
kind of for me as a double fire. I'm like,
(03:12):
you know, you can get uncontrolled, uncontrollable fast because you're
not calming down your flight. There's no anchor, there's no
tether to this dimension. You're floating out there in a hailscape. Hodi, girls,
that's wrong. You let yourself get possessed by demons. You
need to calm down. We need an exercise. And that's
(03:34):
my takeaway. Well based, Okay, So without further ado, let's
get into the recap of Welcome to Blackfel season seven,
episode six, entitled.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
The Birds and the Bees. Girl this combo.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
I forgot about Barry because I'm focused so much on
Veronica being an absolute demon. Yeah, but like, what's wrong
with bear Berry?
Speaker 2 (04:01):
I don't know if he's like trying to be funny.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
I think so, but like, is he not aware of
some of the conversations that are happening online about how
he's giving a little bit of that bread energy, no,
a little bit of the pervness? Like has he never
heard that about himself? Because wouldn't you try to watch
what you're saying. I just felt like it was so
(04:24):
inappropriate and weird. Sorry, I'm getting ahead of us, Yeah,
getting ahead of our. It was weird.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
It was cringey. There were some moments where I was
laughing and I'm just like, God, but I was like
laughing at the absurdity of it because I just can't
imagine having a conversation.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
Like that with my They were talking about boxes.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
I know, like cooters, I know.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
Like Perry's stop like, but I mean I also had
a million children, so I guess he knows his way.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Around a box. I mean you'd have to write yeah, shit.
But we start the episode off at the Plath family farm.
We have the family doing some landscaping prep in preparation
for Lydia's wedding because she's gonna get married there, and
we have Isaac. He's so handsome, he is so tall,
He's so tall.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Tall drink of water. What a handsome youngness.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
So handsome. We got Isaac, we got Barry. And then
we also have Amber and Ethan, who have just returned
from their.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
Awful, tense, abusive, tite marriage Boca, and everyone starts kind
of talking some shit subtly about Veronica.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Subtly.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
Well, they're not like calling her a big old nasty bitch.
They're just saying like she's.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
Crazy, right, and they're bringing up how her behavior when
Ethan and Amber were in Boca was belittling and degrading, yes,
toward Micah. Barry is obviously concerned about what's happening to
his son, and even Isaac is just like, I'm sorry.
We lived through Olivia, Like we already know what this
(05:56):
is like, and I don't want any part of this
with Veronica. And if she's going to be coming my
family and like bugging my fifteen year old sister and
gas lamping Micah, then I'm gonna say something about it.
He's like, I will take care of that, and I'm like,
oh my god, I love it. He's becoming a man. Definitely,
Isaac's becoming a man. I love it.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
And Isaac says something like I can smell the bullshit,
like I know after dealing with Olivia, Like I this
is a playbook that's happening, Like I know what's going on.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
This is stupid.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
And I was wondering, like, while he was expressing all
of this, if that was what the fight was about,
because I wonder if, like at the wedding, Isaac starts
calling Veronica out on some bullshit and like maybe Micah
like is drunkenly trying to defend her God, because he's
still trying to work on their relationship for some reason,
and maybe that's why they get in a fight.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
Good call.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
And then after Isaac beats his ass, maybe Mikeh's like, oh, yeah,
I'm wrong.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
That actually makes sense. I was wondering, Well, when you
think about the intervention scene that they show in the
mid season trailer where everyone's sitting down with Veronica and
telling her that she's a monster, redeemable. Micah does not
have a detached nose or any stitches. So this is
pre wedding that they have this intervention. Yeah, and then
they get to the wedding, and maybe Micah's on his
(07:12):
bullshit in defense of Veronica, who's treated everybody terribly, and
that is what prompts the fight.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
That's what I'm wondering.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
I can see it act because.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Isaac is like totally upset about how Mike is being treated.
He's upset that Veronica's talking shit to Amber, who is
a minor. He's like just frustrated about this whole situation,
And like, Barry is annoying to me because I'm like,
why don't you just be a dad, Like, why don't
you like talk to Micah and ask him how he's doing.
Barry doesn't care. Barry's just be bootbopping.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
I think Barry cares. I just don't think that Barry
knows how to be a dad in that way. Yeah,
he's being a Disney dad and just kind of being
available for when his kids approach him, as opposed to
interjecting himself into some problematic situations, whether it's Lydia and
this rushed marriage, or whether it's Micah was literally being
(08:01):
abused by his partner. Because he's hearing all of this,
and it struck me as we were watching the four
of them that they had already talked about this, like
the family has been talking about Veronica. But for whatever reason,
Barry wanted to litigate this on camera, like he wanted
to put it all out there so everybody understood what
(08:21):
Veronica has been doing, because maybe maybe Barry does intend
to confront it at some point. It's trying to make
a case as for why. But it's clear to me
that everybody has been talking about Veronica.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
You know. I could see that he was doing that
to cover his butt because maybe they learned their lessons
from Olivia, because they were kind of like keeping things
under wraps when it came to Olivia. Olivia was coming
out with these stories and these accusations and stuff, and
like Kim and Barry were just kind of keeping quiet
to themselves, and like they would occasionally throw jabs to Olivia,
but they weren't like calling it out because they were
(08:55):
just trying to keep the peace. But I could see
this because in this scene, Barry's something to the effect of, like, well,
I don't know why Veronica would think that we called
her a liar. I've never thought that she was a liar.
I've never even said that. I like Veronica. I think
she's cool, So he's like doing damage control a little bit,
and I could see why. Like Veronica before the season aired,
(09:16):
was on Reddit saying all this shit because she looks
terrible in this season and it's not the editing, like,
it's just her behavior. Yes, And the Plaths are just like,
what the fuck's going on with you though? Right?
Speaker 1 (09:28):
And the Plaths are gonna do what the Plaths know
how to do, which is to rally around each other
exactly and close in ranks. And so Veronica, you don't
have a chance, but you've got Amber upset. You've got
Ethan upset, Like Ethan's got your number, and now you're
an enemy because you're talking to his ex wife, who
(09:48):
he blames everything on I know, which is wrong. Yeah,
but like Ethan does not like you, and even Isaac
is ready to like confront you about what you're doing
to his brother because they've been through like this traumatic
thing with Olivia, which is like I feel to me,
they're making too much out of that because I feel
like Olivia, you know Olivia, and I'm not gonna say
(10:09):
it again, but Olivia was in process. Olivia was a
young woman. Olivia had some things that she was working through.
But like she I think for the most part, she
was doing the best that she could. Veronica, on the
other hand, is not. Veronica is so deeply emotionally unregulated
and does not seem interested in the least in trying
(10:30):
to figure out how to curb her abusive tendencies. Like
she's proud of the fact that she interrupts Micah, She's
proud of the fact that she's calling him a worm
and a weak man, like she likes that aspect of herself.
I never saw that in Olivia. And so when we
get to the conversation in this scene where they're talking
about how Teagan is such a great girlfriend and Kaylin
(10:52):
is perfect in the family, I'm like, well, is that
because these girls are just thoroughly submissive and doing their
very best to not cause any waves, whereas Olivia was
trying to assert her own power and figure out herself.
It was just like that was a little weird to me.
What did you think of them saying that?
Speaker 2 (11:11):
I mean, I could totally see how it could be
construed that way, because, like, especially with their like religious
background and everything, like, there could be like an element
of like these women need to just stay in their
lane and shut up and just be submissive and feminine
and like not speak their minds. I could see that,
But I could also see a point with when Micah
(11:32):
and Ethan were talking about Olivia, Like Veronica's talking to
a person who actively hates their family and like doesn't
like them, hasn't liked them for many years. She has
gone on Facebook, not Facebook, but she's gone on Instagram
and TikTok outing them and like posting secret recordings and
stuff like that. And like, again, there's like truth to
(11:53):
some of this, I get it, but like they are
coming from a perspective of they love their family. They
want people to love their family, and if you want
to be married to me or you want to be
in a relationship with me, you're gonna have to get
along with my family. Because I think Micah or no
Isaac's the one that says families first. I'm like, I
wouldn't want to be with a woman who didn't like
my family and didn't get along with me.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
And likewise, I will respect and love her family exactly.
That's just my value, and that's a fair value, and
I like that value. But I just feel like they're
in these characterizations, they're being too hard on Olivia because
Veronica is not Olivia. Like, Olivia is so much better
in every way to me than Veronica, who I just
feel like is such a trash person. Yeah, just an awful, mean, terrible, verbally, violent,
(12:46):
abusive person. Olivia had her issues, and yeah, she was
passive aggressive and sometimes aggressive aggressive, but she was never
that that I saw.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
No, she was definitely more covert, I think, And I
to give Olivia credit, like she came from the same
world as the Plaths and so like there was a
lot of validity to some of the things that she
was saying, and like she was I think projecting some
of her family bullshit onto the Plaths, which I don't
think they necessarily deserved, but she has every right to
not like them. Yeah, and she was the one that
(13:17):
chose to leave and got out of it, and she's
just like done, I'm gonna go swim in the fucking
oceans of Croatia.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
And that's the difference though, Like Olivia's not in the family,
but Veronica, you purport to want to be a part
of the family act or be with Micah. If you
want to be with Micah, then you've got to figure
out how to heal the issue with the family, and
yet the way not to do that is to talk
to somebody who hates the family and is no longer
in it by choice.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
It doesn't make any sense exactly. Yeah, and Ethan says
something like, if you want to have friends, you need
to be friendly, and he said that a couple times,
and that's true. It's like, Veronica, when you're coming out
with this hard, nasty energy and you don't want to
talk to anybody because they hurt your feelings or whatever, like,
you're not gonna have any kind of resolution, and that's
why you're gonna have your plath under and you're probably
(14:01):
gonna cry. I can't wait to see Anni do. And
then we move on to Mike and Veronica at their
house in Boca, and we have more of like a
continuation of their fight from last episode. I guess they
like took some time apart, probably slept in different houses
or something to cool off, and so now they're going
(14:23):
to talk again. And Veronica wants us to know that
she wants to talk to him in a healthy way,
and she thinks that they have really good communication. They
just need to understand each other. He needs to hear
me and my big feelings because I'm coming to him
with like honesty and I'm trying to I'm trying to
healthily communicate. It's Micah that's the problem.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
Right, and he just doesn't know how to hold all
of my feelings which I constantly regurgitate all over him violently.
And I thought that Micah was really insightful in his
commentary about Veronica, like having these emotional explosions and just
exploding all over him and anybody else until it was
(15:07):
all gone inside of her and then she was able
to kind of reset and go back to a peaceful
space until she was angry again, and then she exploded.
And I felt personally like the body language in this
scene was very meaningful and important, because again we have
Micah shrinking away, leaning his whole body away from Veronica
(15:29):
who's leaning into him. And I'm just like, you look
like an abused man. You look like an abused person
who is trying so hard to walk on eggshells within
this conversation so you don't set this woman off again crazy.
And I feel for him because I think for Micah,
he probably has been gas lit into thinking that he's
(15:53):
the problem, and in many ways, he is, like, if
he cheated, he's a cheater, that's dogshit. You should not
have done that. He gave her an STD because he
was a cheater. That is absolutely awful. Obviously, Isaac, other
than cheating, has not verified a lot of the other
things that Veronica has said. But like, if you did that,
that is bad. That doesn't negate the fact that Veronica,
you chose to stay with him, Yeah, and he chose
(16:17):
to stay with you, and he doesn't know how to
talk to you. He doesn't feel safe even being around you.
In these extremely volatile conversations which you leverage. I feel
like she on purpose leverages these conversations and her emotions
in order to intimidate him because she wants him to
(16:37):
feel as small as possible, because that is how she
felt when he cheated on her. And it's just thoroughly toxic.
Throw the whole relationship away. You guys do not need
to be together. And of course we know they break up,
but like watching it right before the whole thing gets
burnt down is painful. It's painful for Micah. I'm sure
(16:59):
it's painful for Veronica. But because she's acting so horribly,
I have absolutely no sympathy for.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
Her well, and like that's the thing. It's like, obviously
no one is justifying his cheating him allegedly giving her
an STD, like nobody's justifying any of these actions on Micah.
But like Veronica, you can be mad about that, but
you don't have a right to like abuse him. You
don't have a right to be so aggressive in your
(17:26):
speech to call him a spineless worm, a weak little man.
You're choosing to forgive him and to work on things
in your relationship, and if you actually wanted to do that,
then you should reflect that in your actions and in
your speech to him. But no, you want to just
make him feel like shit more than he already does.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
You want to punish him, and you feel like you're
entitled to have him sit there and take the punishment
because he's the first one who hurt you.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
And she like talks about like she tells him and
she tells the cameras and stuff that she has a
hard time regulating her emotions. But at the same time,
she doesn't want to bottle any of them up. She
doesn't want to keep any of them to herself, so
she's just gonna spew it and basically Micah, You're just
gonna have to deal with it. You're gonna have to
deal with me verbally abusing you, because that's just who
I am. I'm allowed, strong, outspoken woman, and I'm allowed
(18:18):
to have these big feelings. Yeah, exactly, that's what it is.
And she talks about like how she's always felt like
her feelings are too much, and Olivia felt the same way.
So she's being treated the exact same as how Olivia
was treated, and it's like, no, sometimes your emotions are
too much. People have irrational emotions. Everybody experiences that, but
(18:40):
we learn how to regulate, how to be emotionally mature,
and learn how to express that in a healthy way.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
And here she is again co opting Olivia's lived experience
right in her marriage that lasted much longer than this
punk cast relationship you have with Micah. And then your weapon,
your idea of Olivia's experience to use against Micah, Like
you don't have a right to do that. Speak from
your own space, speak from your own feelings, your own experience,
(19:10):
but don't continue to use her, you know, as some
sort of stand in for the feelings that you have
in order to legitimize them. Yes, yeah, no, we don't
do that. That doesn't work. It's not fair.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
And like anytime Micah tries to express to her that
like her emotions are hurtful because she is just spewing
all of this hateful, awful, toxic shit to him constantly,
she will say something like, well, yeah, like when I'm angry,
I say some things that I probably shouldn't, but like
I'm angry, so like I'm allowed to just express my anger.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
You're not.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
It's like you just justify your bullshit. Like she cannot
see that she is wrong and she's manipulative when she says, yeah,
I say things that I probably shouldn't, but I'm gonna
say it anyway, and you're just gonna have to deal
with it because that's my fiefe's and you're gonna have
to nalidate it.
Speaker 1 (19:59):
And this is why we have her completely setting out
online on Reddit and on Instagram, because I think she
got dumped because she's an abuser and Micah finally got
the strength to walk away.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
And here again, like you had a very valid message
about Micah and the things that he did that were wrong,
but like you've completely invalidated your argument and your position
by behaving like a devil and a nightmare yep.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
And then you want to use Instagram therapy speak to
continue to belittle him, to try and justify your actions,
and like I think she says something like I'm in
fireflight around the plaths and he's like why, and she
just doesn't have an answer. It's like, you can't justify
your irrational feelings, which means they're irrational and they're crazy
(20:44):
and they are too much. You are too much, m m,
and maybe you should learn to tone it down a
little bit. I just can't. I just I felt bad
for Micah, and like I shouldn't feel bad for a
guy who's a cheater and like allegedly gave her an STD,
but I feel bad because of how you're acting towards him.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
Yeah, but I mean, let me just be the problematic
person on the podcast when I bring up the fact
that he was living in la she was living in Florida.
I'm not sure what the terms of their relationship was.
I mean, maybe he was leading her on a little bit,
and maybe she was. She had stars in her eyes
because it's Mica and he's beautiful. But like it happened
(21:20):
at the very beginning of the relationship when they weren't
even in the same place together. Then they got in
the same place, and then he traveled for work to
New York and otherwise. Remember when he went to watch
What Happens Live, Yeah, and he saw Andy Cohen and
Andy Cohen was flirting with him on the show, and
then he cheated when he was in New York. And
I'm just kind of wondering to myself, like, was it
with Andy? Oh my god, was it with Andy Cohen? Anyway? So, yeah,
(21:44):
that's all bad, But it sounds like in the beginning
of the relationship things were just a little bit murky maybe,
but then once he moved in or once he made
a formal commitment, things changed. I'm not giving him a pass.
It's still not good. And he was texting people, but
I'm just like, I don't trust her. She's not a
reliable narrator. And then when we get the preview of her,
(22:05):
like not allowing Micah to even be in the presence
of Teagan because of some OnlyFans stuff like, I'm just like, girl,
you can't control everything. I realize you're anxiously attached in
your life, but you can't control other people. The only
thing you control is.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
Yourself, yep, and you give yourself no credit when you
are lying, like with the teak and stuff with the
only fans, like girl, please shut up. I just can't
with her. And then we shift gears and we go
wedding dress shopping with Lydia.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
We don't need to spend a ton of time on this,
do we not?
Speaker 2 (22:36):
Really? I mean, the only thing that was interesting was
like when Kim had Lydia try on her wedding dress.
Oh yeah, which Lydia looked beautiful in, I mean, just
gorgeous in every dress that she tries on. But I
couldn't help. But wonder if Kim was like feeling like,
oh my God, like I can't believe my daughter is
(22:57):
like getting married in the same kind of way that
I did, door like Zach who probably won't be good
at it, Like I wonder when she was wearing Kim's
wedding dress, Kim was like seeing her life flash before
her eyes and regretting it because you raised Lydia to
be this way.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
I wonder. I mean, I think there are a lot
of things Kim would like to say, but she probably
feels she doesn't have the family credit to say yeah,
because she's discredit her discredited herself with her behavior, with
leaving Barry, with being a drunk, and with having an
adulter this affair, So she can't really counsel Lydia on
like what she needs to do in a relationship because
(23:38):
she again has no credit, so kind I kind of
felt for Kim a little bit, like she's just trying
to be there for Lydia. Lydia's gonna do this whether
you approve of it or not, and so she's trying
to be supportive. But I do think there was a
lot that she wanted to say. And then of course
we had Mariah being like two hours late, I know,
which I thought was really strange. And I think I
(24:01):
mentioned a couple of episodes ago that I kind of
sniff some substance abuse, and of course we've seen Mariah
drinking in this season, and it just feels like there's
something more. I know, somebody in the comments of her
YouTube was talking like opiates or like other substances like that,
and I don't know, but I'm just like, how are
you going to show up two hours late to like
(24:23):
the sister that you're the closest to like she's gonna
get married, like this special day, you're gonna be this late,
and then you're gonna kind of shit on it all
because you don't believe in marriage and you don't believe
in wedding dresses and you don't like them. I'm like,
what has happened to Mariah? Like I feel very concerned
about her trajectory?
Speaker 2 (24:44):
Me too in life, me too, And like maybe she's
depressed because maybe mister potato head like did some bad
shit to her. I don't know what their relationship was like,
but like the fact that you have Mariah in her
like goth phase and she is depressed and she's like
I hate love. I don't believe in love. I'm like, dude,
(25:05):
you're like mentally broken right now. I mean, I hope
Montana's gonna be great for her, but like I'm worried, dude,
I'm really worried. And the only other thing that came
out of this scene was Kim also expressing to the
camera that this whole wedding is rushed and nobody feels
like they know Zach or they can get to know
him at all. Kim doesn't feel like she knows him
(25:28):
well enough Barry doesn't know him well enough, but Lydia
probably doesn't know him well enough. And I'm just like, yeah, Kim,
well this is your parenting though, Like, this is a
direct result of the indoctrination that you gave to all
of your kids. Luckily, some of the older ones pave
their own way and realize all that shit was bullshit.
But Lydia was praying in a closet the whole time,
(25:51):
and you thought that was great. And now she's doing
what you programmed her to.
Speaker 1 (25:55):
Do, right, And I can just imagine how Kim feels
like knowing the path that Lydia is taking, which is
the same path that she took and how it didn't
work out. And I also think with Mariah, it's not
just Potato Head and the relationships that she had that failed,
but she also saw her parents, Yeah, and their twenty
(26:16):
five year relationship just completely fall apart and the complete
implosion of her family. So yeah, she doesn't believe in
weddings and marriages and symbols of love like that because
she probably doesn't really have faith in love generally.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
Yeah, I wouldn't blame her, yeah at all. And speaking
of Mariah, we have Amber, We have this like little scene,
and it's when Mariah, I guess, is leaving for Montana.
She's leaving a month before Lydia's wedding because she just
wants to get the fuck out of Dodge, and she's
packing all of her shit, and we have Amber and
her have like a little conversation. Amber seems to kind of,
(26:52):
in my opinion, be a little worried about Mariah, but
like she's trying to advocate for her. They talk a
little bit about Veronica and how they're they've both shared
some nasty experiences with her and they both don't like
that bitch. And Mariah's just like, yeah, I just want
to leave.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
I just want like a fresh star.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
I'm gonna go to Montana with my many many many
job interviews that I have lined up, but I don't
have a job lined up. I just have a place
to stay. And I'm just like, what do you mean
I'm worried about her? Dude?
Speaker 1 (27:22):
Oh my god, if that was my daughter, I would
be so scared for her. And so like watching Barry
just send her off with all this celebration and like
not just like giving her some sort of a tracker
or like putting some sort of tag on her car
or like, I don't know, girl, Like you're just going
to a place where you've never been before, to a
(27:44):
culture that you've never experienced before. And I can understand
the sense of adventure. And again I said this a
couple episodes ago, like if I could have done that,
gone to Montana as a young woman, so so fantastic.
But so I appreciate her wanting to do that, but
I'm questioning why it's happening, and I'm just wondering, and
I'm wondering if anybody else is also thinking this, Like
(28:06):
is there a dude?
Speaker 2 (28:06):
There?
Speaker 1 (28:07):
Is she talking to somebody online? Has she met a
new person? Because I see her pictures in Montana she
looks really happy, but she's not taken those pictures. Who
is Yeah, is it a dude? What's happening in your life?
For real? And I see just Mariah going down this
road of secrecy that we've seen the Browns go down
(28:29):
and some of the Plaths go down, just like not
telling the full truth. But at the same time, maybe
she can't because she's so mentally and emotionally troubled right now,
like she's not connected to the inner workings of her
own self, so she can't really talk about it. But like,
I'm just worried about her. I'm really worried about her.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
I'm really worried about her because I think that's when
she loses all of her hair in Montana. Yeah, because
she's still in Montana. I think, Yeah, I believe so
the Internet and stuff. So like you move to Montana
for this new start and then all of your hair
falls out and you have no family or any support system,
and I wonder you may prick up a a point
like what if she is there for a dude? Ugh.
(29:11):
I just feel like she's going down this like terrible
path because again, like her parents didn't prepare her for
the real world and like didn't teach her how to
find like a good person to be around. So she's
going after like unhealthy relationship after unhealthy relationship, and I
worry about her mental state. And again with Barry just
like sending her off being all happy, go lucky. This
(29:33):
is why he's annoying me this season. Yeah, because he's
not like pushing back in a way a dad should.
You're not questioning Zach on anything. You're actually wanting him
to bang your daughter out and pop out baby her. Yeah,
and you don't even know this guy. You're sending Mariah
off to Montana where there's literally no support system for
her at all, but you're like, have fun bye. Yeah,
(29:56):
you're not talking to Micah about him being abused by Ironica.
You're just like, Yeah, that sucks. Then that's it. It's
just like Barry, you suck. Sometimes it's so annoying.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
He's just emotionally disconnected. Yea and Amber told Veronica, I
think in the last episode that they were a family
of thinkers, and I really think that that originates with Barry,
Like he doesn't. I'm sure he feels something, but I
just feel like he's not connected to those feelings. And
so this is his approximation of what a feeling person
(30:28):
would do, like, Oh, I'm just going to support my daughter,
like I'm going to show up in a way that
that will appear supportive because he doesn't. He doesn't have
that innate knowledge of what a father should do and
be in a feeling way, and that is what Mariah needs.
I don't know if she would accept it at this point,
but that is literally what she needs, and what she
(30:48):
doesn't have is a good example from a parent.
Speaker 2 (30:51):
I agree. And now she just going to Montana and
I wish her the best, Like, I hope she has
the best time there. I hope she finds herself. I
hope she finds peace and finds you a cowboyhood, finds
you a nice cowboy. It treats you, right, That's all
I want. But I'm really worried about her, I really am.
And then the last scene is the cringiest scene of
them all, where Barry, Kim, Zach, and Lydia all share
(31:15):
a bunch of champagne and talk about fucking apparently why.
I just don't understand.
Speaker 1 (31:21):
Why are we doing that?
Speaker 2 (31:22):
Why? Why this? It's so cringey because Lydia just turned
twenty one, and like I think this is probably like
a couple weeks before their wedding because they get married
in February, like just after her birthday. So they're all
sharing champagne. And this is where Barry and Kim find
(31:42):
it appropriate to like ask them, you know how to
fuck though?
Speaker 1 (31:47):
You know what fucking is? You know men and women
fuck men, fuck people?
Speaker 2 (31:52):
Fuck? You know what a penis is, Lydia.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
You know you've got a vagina, right, you know.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
That you're biologically hardwired and programmed and built.
Speaker 1 (31:59):
And crack and crafted at this time in your life
quickly crafted? What was that biologically crafted to have children?
Speaker 2 (32:09):
Now? Stop?
Speaker 1 (32:11):
It was like, are you talking about her fertility?
Speaker 2 (32:14):
Though?
Speaker 1 (32:15):
He feels like you're talking about her ability to opulate
her fertility and it's giving weird. And you're talking about
her twenties being her like fertile time. I'm just like,
this is a time not what any young woman, much
less her partner, wants to hear from her dad. I know,
talking about like the ideal circumstances to become impregnated. Barry,
(32:36):
what are you doing just because you want a grandkid?
Maybe baby rabies?
Speaker 2 (32:41):
I mean, hey, look, you are always telling me where's
my grandchildren? And you're always asking if we're fucking who?
Speaker 1 (32:48):
Don't like you're almost thirty, I.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
Know, see here you are telling me about you brought
it up.
Speaker 1 (32:54):
You brought it up though.
Speaker 2 (32:57):
I feel like Barry was kind of giving me like
I think he was trying to be funny, but he
doesn't know how to be because he's a literal robot
and he doesn't understand how humans talk and act. He's
just being so weird. And like in him and Kim's
talking heads, he's like making sexual innuendos and jokes and stuff,
and I just like, I can't. But I was laughing
(33:20):
about it though, because I think Kim says something like,
you know, Lydia has to know that there's ways to
prevent pregnancy, right, like maybe I'll have to have a
talk with her, and Barry's like, yeah, you'll have to
educate her orally, and then everybody laughs.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
But I'm like, that's why are you laughing. I'm like,
that's like incestuous.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
I I just can't, but they all bust up laughing.
I feel like Kim was the only one that felt
awkward because I feel like Barry never pleasured her With.
Speaker 1 (33:50):
Kim, right, I thought, well, you never know what those
kind of guys sometimes they're magical at it. But I
just felt it was kind of funny watching Kim because
she did not know what to say, She did not
know what she could say, she didn't know what her
standing with Barry was in order to say anything, so
she just kind of stood there. I was just like,
I don't know what's happening right now, and Yarry was
just being super goofy and everybody was laughing.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
Well, and I'm just like wondering because at this point
in time, like, I think Kim's the only one that's
had sex outside of their marriage because she fucked Ken
Palmer or something. But like, I don't think Barry is
out here fucking and sucking right now. I think he's
just keeping himse up.
Speaker 1 (34:26):
But maybe maybe he is.
Speaker 2 (34:27):
Maybe he's a lothario.
Speaker 1 (34:29):
He's talking about wanting to find somebody who's fit and
active and has a sense of humor, So maybe that
means he's already on the tinder, like swiping left or
right or whatever these kids do. Well, Yeah, he's the
man who's got me and stuff. And I'm just wondering.
As I was watching Barry and Kim, I'm like, is
there a world where you guys are just meeting up occasionally?
(34:52):
I want to bang it out?
Speaker 2 (34:54):
I wondered that too. I'm wondering if they're like hooking up.
Speaker 1 (34:58):
I feel like Kim wouldn't mind, Oh she would love it.
I think Barry's like pass a Dina, pass a Diana.
Speaker 2 (35:07):
Barry looks at her and her sugar body and he's like, nah,
no way. But Kim is probably looking at Barry all
jacked and shit.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
Well, she's seeing things differently. Yeah, now that she don't
have no buddy. Now she's renting a home and she
can't afford a lawyer. She's putting it on credit cards.
Now Barry's starting to look better than he used.
Speaker 2 (35:25):
To look, and Ken left her ask so what is
she going to do?
Speaker 1 (35:28):
Well, she's trying to make it work.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
Yeah, I guess you're trying to get.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
Back in with Barry, do you think. I don't know.
I had a vision of, like next season, Barry going
out on a date and the camera's following him and
it's a date with Kim. I actually had that in
my mind, Like I wonder.
Speaker 2 (35:46):
I would pass away because that would be so.
Speaker 1 (35:48):
Crazy, it would be crazy. I would love it that
they just like get back together. I mean they start dating.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
I mean they're still spending a lot of their time
together because they're trying to co parent and they're like
doing family things together. And I mean, honestly, like, I
feel like there could have been a whirld where Kim
could have avoided this whole midlife crisis. Her and Barry
could have talked some things out. Maybe they could have
gone to sex therapy or something, and they could have
had a sexual renaissance maybe, or like a renaissance in
(36:15):
their marriage, and it could have worked out because they
had all these years together, they had all these children together.
And she ruined it.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
She did, and then she stepped out and she saw
that the grass was not always greener. I had the
same experience, what should we go uncensored? Cons back from uncensored.
So maybe Kim thought the grass was going to be
greener out there and that there were going to be
guys that had it better than Burry. But like, maybe
(36:44):
nobody makes money like Barry. Yeah, maybe nobody has the
anatomy that Barry. Maybe nobody eats the box like Barry does.
And so now you had to learn the hard way. Kim.
Now you're trying to insert yourself back into the city,
but you can't fit.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
Can't.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
No, you can't fit.
Speaker 2 (37:03):
She especially can't.
Speaker 1 (37:04):
You can't get back go through that, That's right.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
She did. Yeah, But I was just like this whole
scene with Kim and Barry was just interesting. Like I
feel like Barry was more comfortable. He was just being
weird and goofy, and maybe he was drunk on champagne.
I don't fucking know he was being odd. Kim felt
awkward to me, and Kim did make a comment I
don't know if you caught it to Lydia where she
was just like, I just want to make sure that
you know how to fuck or whatever, because I don't
(37:29):
want people to think that they're watching that we just
like raised all these kids to live inside this box.
And it just spoke to me that Kim is aware
of the camera, she's aware of the criticism of how
they raised their children, and she's trying to be like, no,
but like we did prepare them though, like don't listen
to Ethan when he said I didn't tell them about
(37:50):
sex or anything. Don't listen to Hoseanah while Hoseanah doesn't
say nothing, but like, they'll listen to my other kids,
like we did good. Lydia, right, you know how sex works.
Speaker 1 (38:01):
But it struck me that Lydia really didn't. No, like
Lydia does not know what to expect on her wedding night.
She understands I've got a vagina and he's got a pen.
The pen goes into the vagina. But that's the extent
of her sexual education. And I'm worried about her.
Speaker 2 (38:20):
I'm worried about her too, and Kim does say like
something like I feel like a mom would say, just
like you can talk to me though, like we can
have girl time and if you like have any questions
or issues or whatever, you can you can talk to me.
And I feel like Lydia was like, no, mom, you're
a drunk, cheating adulterer, Like why would I talk to you.
I feel like Lydia just doesn't give a shit about
(38:42):
what her mom has to say. And it's unfortunate because
it's Kim's fault. But like, I worry about Lydia and
her marriage to this nice man, Zach.
Speaker 1 (38:52):
Well, And ironically, Kim could probably impart a lot of
information yeah to Lydia, based on all the mistakes that
she made in her life exactly. But it's that divide
between parent and child, and especially if you've blown it
as a parent, exactly, you've lost.
Speaker 2 (39:09):
All credibility with the child. And now Lydia is going
to have to figure it out on her own. And like,
luckily with Lydia, she has the Internet, so maybe she
can google some stuff, maybe she can read some smut
and realize, like, oh, this is what I'm missing maybe,
but like when Barry starts pressuring them about kids and stuff,
He's like, bring on the grand children. I want babies, Like,
let's go, you're biologically ready. We have like this segment
(39:32):
with Lydia and Zach, like I think, and they're talking
head being like no, we're gonna wait, and Lyddya's like, well,
but like I want to have kids though, and Zach's
just like awkward, like he doesn't say anything, and I'm
just like, I wonder what their sex life is, like,
I don't know, I'm worried about it. I'm just gonna
say that I'm just worried about it.
Speaker 1 (39:52):
Agreed.
Speaker 2 (39:53):
And then we get to the preview and we have
Lydia and Zach visiting Micah and Veronica why down in Boca,
and Veronica makes a comment about like how she doesn't
even want to go to the wedding and she hopes
that they don't light any fires at the wedding.
Speaker 1 (40:10):
I'm like, Okay, this is foreshadowing NonStop drama. It's like constant,
and it's Lydia's upcoming nuptials. Can't you just be supported?
Speaker 2 (40:20):
She can't because she's bitter. And then we have Teagan, Caylin, Ethan,
and Isaac doing like a double date or whatever. And
this is where like Ethan, I think, draws a little
naked photo of Teagan. And then we have like another
scene where Micah apparently called Ethan to tell him that
(40:41):
Veronica was starting some rumors about Teagan having an only fans,
which pissed Ethan off. Ethan hangs up the phone with
Micah and then calls Teagan immediately. And I think this
is what causes a rift between Teagan and Veronica, because
I don't think Teagan's out here show a hole on
because I don't think she's.
Speaker 1 (41:02):
I had no idea. But then we have this scene
in the preview with Veronica and Micah at a counselor
or a therapy appointment, and Veronica is talking about how
Micah went up online and started looking for nude photos
of Teagan. Yeah, so it almost kind of gives that
(41:22):
there are existing nude photos of Teagan, which would be
wild if she had an OnlyFans. But like, also, sex
work is real work. She don't saying anything, but like,
so now Veronica's telling Michael, well, you can never be
in Tagan's presence again because you were looking at those
nude photos and.
Speaker 2 (41:39):
Yeah, and she's like you're gonna fuck her, like you
can't be around her because you can't control God. Yeah,
And I think, like Micah, we will probably see the
next episode like their scene and everything. But I think
Micah is trying to say, like, no, you don't understand
the context, because maybe he was just like looking it
up to see if Veronica's claims were true about the
only fans, and then Veronica's like construing it. I don't know, right,
(42:01):
somebody's gotten OnlyFans. Maybe I'm curious. Now I'm gonna go
look it up.
Speaker 1 (42:05):
Yeah, and please do and report back to the Raccoons,
because this season is I'm so loving it.
Speaker 2 (42:13):
