A canvas turns with coded hands,
Algorithms brush and blend,
The future wakes to new demands,
As lines of ones and zeros bend. The human touch, once all we knew,
Now meets a force both strange and vast,
Where AI dreams in colors, too,
And learns to mirror what has passed. Will art evolve, or lose its soul?
Can circuits feel, or hearts create?
In this new dance, who takes control?
And where will fate and vision mate? Yet art, at heart, is how we feel,
An essence AI cannot hold,
A journey through what’s true, what’s real,
A story that we each unfold. The brush, the pen, the voice, the song,
May find new paths in what’s to be,
For even as machines grow strong,
The soul remains the mystery. So let them paint, and let them learn,
For art’s a realm both deep and wide,
The future bends, but hearts still yearn,
For what no code can e’er provide.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Cry on Wow Your Wow, Hello, fellow Rangers, and welcome
to the Ranger Ryan Show. Today is a audience choice

(00:37):
kind of episode. We've only had one response to a
poll thus far. You can access these poles via Spotify
and Uh. The question simply was what would you like
us to talk about on the next art I like
to talk about on an upcoming episode? Is the way
that it was worded. I'm going to actually stick with that.

(00:59):
I'm gonna keep asking that question in hopes that we
can just keep I'll put different topics every single time,
just so we can make this happen, because I really
would like this to be an interactive show, and the
only way I can do that is with you, because.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Who else am I going.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
To interact with? All Right, today, by request, we're gonna
be talking about music, in particular the music that I
use at the opening of the show and the music
I use at the closing of the show. All of
the things involved in this podcast are artificially driven besides

(01:45):
myself that's partially in you know, if you go to
the Farthest from Studios YouTube page, it is one hundred
percent artificial, and you know it's not to be you know,
secretive or anything. It's just it's fun.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
It's new tools, new creative tools.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
For artists, if you will, and.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
It's just something I like playing around with.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
There's a there's kind of I don't know if it's
just me, but I liked, you know, tinker with technology.
And when the AI thing first came around, I was like, okay, whatever,
because I've seen some of the things that it produced,
and I was like, this is this isn't something I'm

(02:34):
I'm gonna.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Deal with, But I did.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
I did hop in and I'd like to talk about
everything artificial that I do on this podcast, and we'll
end talking about the music because that is what Chris
requested I talk about. So let's start out with the

(02:58):
episode descriptions. I don't even know if you've noticed, but
for instance, I.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Have poems for every episode description. And that is not
because I.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Can't write, you know, just a little quick, little whatever
hundred word thing about what the episode is when I posted.
It's to play with the technology. Now with the poems,
I use chat GPT, which is OpenAI dot com slash

(03:37):
chat GPT. It's probably one of the most well known
interfaces that people use when it comes to artificial intelligence,
and I use it for this portion of the podcast.
The description of the episode. Now, the description is, you know,

(04:01):
pretty standard in the podcast world. It is something that
you know, usually gives you a rundown of what the
episode's about. But I wanted to be a little weird,
and I figured what would be the weirdest option when
it comes to a description, And obviously a long form

(04:25):
poem is a pretty good option because how many people
do that?

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Right?

Speaker 1 (04:35):
Okay, all right, so we are going to do the
poem live on the air since I post the episode
after I put in the music. Typically this, you know,
this will be a little a little weird because you've
might have already read it. But we're making it now
and that's just fun, you know, it's just a fun time.

(04:56):
So what is the actual What can I put for
the description? I kind of stick with the same format
when I ask the questions. The actual name of this
episode will be based off of artificial I usually take
two words that I say during the podcast and I

(05:18):
put from blank to blank. All right, that's what That's
the format I'm.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Going to run with. And for this one.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
We are going to ask for a poem about about
the future of art in response to artificial that's long
word intelligence, longer word all right, already populating The title

(05:50):
of this poem is art in the Age of the machine.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Quote.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
A canvas turns with coded hans, algorithms brushed and blend.
The future wakes to new demands as lines of ones
and zero's bend. The human touch once all we knew
now meets a force both strange and vast, where AI

(06:18):
dreams in color too and learns to mirror what has passed.
I'm not really a big fan of abab format, but
roll with it. Will art evolve or lose its soul?
Can circuits feel or hearts create? In this new dance?

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Who takes control?

Speaker 1 (06:36):
And where? Will fate envision? Mate? Control and soul create
and mate? Okay, okay, what is going to the last line?
So let them paint and let them learn. For arts
a realm both deep and wide. The future bends, but
hearts still yearn for what no code can air provide.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
Airr e.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Apostrophe er, that's a that's a that's a throwback. So
I've always liked chat GPT. We did an episode. This was.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Well over a year ago. JT and I and.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
We did an episode where I tried chat GPT for
the first time and it was kind of we were
trying to like trick it, and I would argue that
it was easier to trick back in the day where now,
you know, this is a pretty well constructed poem. All
of my poems have been aba B format, but this

(07:44):
one is, you know, it's a little I don't know
if I know how to read aba aba B format correctly.
I'm more of an aa BB kind of guy when
it comes to poems, so maybe I'll do that some
other time. So that is what we use for the
description now for the art, every episode has a different

(08:10):
image for it, which is, I don't know, it's not new.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
You know, I did it in previous.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Versions of the podcast using AI or using you know,
just things that the episode was about.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
But you always have that concern that.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
You know, the the image isn't clear of what it is,
especially when you're working with you know, different intellectual properties,
and you just want to make sure that you know,
you stay in your lane, especially when you have four listeners.
It's kind of you know, it's it's pretty scary, you know,
you really put yourself out there.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
So when I do the the images for.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
The podcast, I use Leonardo dot ai, so you can
go to app dot Leonardo dot ai simply just log
in at Google.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
I used.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
The same logins for everything, so it makes everything's pretty pretty,
pretty nice. And when I make these images, if you look,
they all have kind of a theme to them. But
for this one, I'm going to put I'm gonna use
the same thing, but we'll change some words here just
to make it.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
A little bit more unique, all right.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
And then all right, so I did a creation a
dynamic high contrast image featuring vibrant three D like typography
graffiti style that sprawls across the entire frame boldly to
clearing quote, and I just now named the episode from

(10:03):
art to Artificial quote in stylized film fonds with organic accents.
I'd like it to have some sort of life, just
because we are dealing with you know, inorganic with artificial
and I just kind of wanted to have some life
to it, representing the intersection of technology and humanity. So

(10:30):
when I make these, I keep everything, I change the
word before accents, and then I changed the last line
representing the intersection of and then I just change it
and this is what we got. It's got It gives

(10:51):
me four images. I got one that's that's creepy. It
kind of looks like a bunch of hot dogs going
on out a bit. I'm not gonna use that for
obvious reasons. This one looks like I guess organic kind
of made it not really what I was thinking. Yeah,

(11:14):
these well, this one has artificial spelled run and this
one has from twice so it says from from art
to artificial. So I'm kind of stuck going with this one.
Those look like little brains. The rs a little weird
with from artificial. Yeah, that's spelled right, So I'm gonna

(11:36):
go with the white pink splatter green brains all over it,
which is weird. I guess it could be cauliflower, green
cauliflower from art artificial. And then I'll just standload that
and that'll be the episode image. Cool, all right, where
I'm ust there, This is where I record the episode,

(11:59):
which is what's happening right now. The only thing, the
only part of the show that's not AI driven, or
is it? No? No, no? AI would have this this
word of a voice, so and I've actually if you
if you go to the Farthest from Studios YouTube, you
can you can see some pretty good examples of AI

(12:24):
text to voice I try to use. I try to
use different ones for every video, but we're kind of
running out, kind of running out of videos. Like I
guess what are you called? Actors are the actors? I
don't know whatever they are. We pretty much have used
all of them. But we'll just keep going. So this episode,

(12:48):
we're gonna make this song for the episode. Uh okay,
I don't Oh, we got to spin the wheel first. Oh,
let's spind the wheel wheel wheel music genres. I think

(13:10):
I mentioned this last episode, but I go to spindwheel
dot app slash music dash genres and that gives me
quite a few here. So let's spend it all right.

(13:33):
Lo Fi lo Fi. My kids like lo Fi. It's
kind of at dinner every night. We tried to what
we used to. It's been a while with extracurricular activities.
Our dinners are a little bit more rushed than I
would like. So I feel like I have a little

(13:53):
bit of a allergy thing going on here. I'm gonna
take a drink because We're a professional show, and I'm
not going to edit this sing.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
Oh that's better.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
I mean, I think I just needed when I'm at work,
I don't obviously, I work money through Friday, and I
do the show Tuesday and Thursday, and I don't talk
the whole day, you know, unless I have a phone call,
which is very rare, or a meeting, and when JT

(14:29):
comes over, I talk with him, you know, catch up
prior to recording. I think that really wakes up my voice.
But today I'm having a hard time. I have a
hard time today.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
All right, So what is what did I say? Fi
lo fi?

Speaker 1 (14:53):
What does it not know? What LOFI is? Low dash
oh dash fie low fi. I'll just put a song
about uh the mm hmm changes to the art, artistic

(15:28):
a creativity. It's better when I do this off air
because I don't come off as as much of an dummy.
Change the artists and creativity thanks to the advancement of

(15:53):
artificial intelligence. All right, So well that does its thing.
I feel like what LOFI is not popping up as
like it knows what I'm talking about?

Speaker 2 (16:13):
Oh okay, so they do l o F.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
I can I try that? Let me see that pups
up because low dash Fi is not lo fi low
fi low fi all right, So I typed lo fi one, two, three,

(16:38):
four different ways, separated them with commas. I'm going to
create a two minute song. I'm gonna add some other
keywords just because I think it's important to get the
right vibe. So we're gonna go with chilled, relaxing. These

(17:01):
are all things that are prepopulated. I'll let you know
the website and I sing, uh no, none of those
works really not emotional, not dry, Okay, I think that's fine. Confident, nostalgia. Okay,

(17:23):
we're just gonna stick with this. We're gonna run it.
So I have low five four times a song about
the changes to the artistic creativity will put to human
human artistic creativity thanks to the advancements of artificial intelligence.

(17:43):
Comma chilled, Comma relaxing. And we are going to run
this bad Boy here. We're going to do a two
minute vocal score here, and well that's running. I would
like to let you know where I make my music
for the show. I have a pro account just because

(18:07):
I kind of like, like I said, I like tinkering
with technology. You know, I've been like that since I
was a kid. When I was I was like five
and I was like fixing VCRs for my grandparents' siblings.
So it's really just been a thing technology wise with me.

(18:29):
I will say that I worked, I can't, you know,
I'd only talk about where I worked, But I worked
in a technology based retailer. Okay, that helps a squad
if you will. And now I still like, you know,

(18:50):
I still like using creative tools, especially when they're they're
getting better and better. And I use udio dot com,
so that is www dot udio dot com and that
is where I make my music. Now for the opening

(19:12):
of the show, it changes the actual genre changes, but
I keep the actual lyrics. And that's simply done by
taking a song, remixing it and changing the actual genre.
And you can actually tell it how different. And I'm
gonna get We're gonna make this thing pretty different. The

(19:35):
opening theme song is gonna be pretty different as we continue,
because as long as the show continues, you know, I
need the show to continue in order for that to happen.
So if you'd like to see the show continue, why
don't you leave a comment on Spotify that I can

(19:55):
respond to. Just a sign of life if you will,
just because I made it very clear that I'm not
going to be hopping onto the social medias, but I
will be as active as humanly possible on Spotify. All right,
the songs are done, I'm going to preview them both

(20:18):
and I will play the best of the two. It
makes two. I don't have any credits that cost. It
was like I think it was.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
Six.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
I think it was eight credits each, sixteen G quite
a few free a month and a day and everything else.
If you pay, you get more, and then you have
different rights to different songs when you do that, So
look into it. It's a udio dot com slash. Well

(20:49):
for me, it's slash libr right for you, it just
udio dot com udio dot com. All right, Well, this
has been fun. Thank you Chris for doing the poll
out there on Spotify so I could have some sort
of inspiration as I wait for my co host to

(21:10):
return from a long a waited return here. I'm just
patiently waiting, and I thank you for waiting. I'm sure
this has been a horrendous three weeks just dealing with
me talking drivel, and I really do appreciate you sticking
around but as far as I know, everything's good for

(21:33):
him to come back, and the first episode will focus
on why he was gone, so that should be that
should be enlightening. I would hope for someone to be
gone three weeks, it would be a thought that it
would be quite quite an adventure that he must have
been on. All right, So as always, thank you for listening.

(21:56):
Make sure to find us on YouTube farthest from studios.
You can find my personal YouTube link there as well.
You we'll be able to see it in the featured channels,
I think. If not, it's The Ranger Ryan Show on YouTube.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
And don't worry about the other stuff.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
I'm just gonna stick away from that scares me, especially
since you know it's very easily to get hacked and
everything else. So I'm just gonna stay away, stand away.
And I think we learned that this week as well,
and I think you've learned everywhere that I make all
these silly little things, the poems, the pictures, the music.

(22:38):
I mean, it's all come together now, And what better
way to end in a song we created together live
on the air, a lo fi song about the changes
to the artistic creativity of the humans thanks to artificial intelligence.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
Away we go.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
Be well.

Speaker 4 (23:17):
I walked to day at dawn with the pixel aid
