Speaker 1 (00:00):
What is your accidentally caught your spouse cheating? Horror story?
Story one. A few years ago, I was dating a girl,
and during that time I became really good friends with
her brother. He appreciated the way I supported their family
during a really hard time, especially after they suddenly lost
their dad. Two years into the relationship, her brother reached

(00:20):
out and asked if we could meet up for coffee
to talk about something important. Turns out he had seen
his sister, my girlfriend with another guy, and not just
any guy, but someone we both knew. It had apparently
been going on for about a year. The moment he
found out, he told me right away. I ended the
relationship with her soon after. Funny enough, I'm still close

(00:42):
friends with her brother. Story two. I came home from
a trip about four hours earlier than planned. My wife
was supposed to still be at work, but when I
opened the front door, I saw her sitting on a
couch without a shirt, kissing someone she works with. He
jumped up and ran out the door. She ran into
the bathroom and locked it behind her. I just sat

(01:02):
there on the couch for about an hour. I didn't
know what to do or say. My mind was blank. Eventually,
I got up and left the house, figure it was
the only way she feels safe enough to come out
and get dressed. Story three. I had been away for
work and was supposed to be gone for ten days,
but I got lucky and finished early, so I came
home a day ahead a schedule. I had a friend

(01:23):
picked me up from the airport because I wanted to
surprise my wife and our two kids. Our little ones
were two years old and eight months old at the time.
I walked into the house excited to see them, only
to find my wife on the couch coud with the
guys she always said was just a friend she grabbed
coffee with. And the worst part, my kids were right
there in the room while it was happening. I was furious.

(01:44):
She tried to deny that anything was going on, but
the damage was done. We ended things a few weeks later,
and yes, just to be clear, I added years to
my kids ages to avoid confusion. Story four. Two weeks ago,
I sent a message to a mutual friend asking if
I could borrow a router. He didn't respond, but no
big deal. He lives nearby, so I figured I'd just

(02:05):
stop buy and grab it. I pulled into his long
country driveway, and as I got close at the house,
I noticed something that made my heart drop. My personal
car was already parked there. I drive a company vehicle
during the day, so seeing my car there meant someone
else was using it my wife. At first, I tried
to stay calm. Their friends and business partners. Maybe it's

(02:27):
just a coincidence, maybe nothing is going on. But then
I looked up and saw the guy's shirtless in his
bedroom window. That's when my heart sank even lower and
I started shaking. I went inside and headed straight upstairs.
By then he had put a shirt on. I said, hey,
I came to borrow the router. Also, have you seen
my wife? Her car is outside. He gave me the

(02:47):
most awkward excuse I've ever heard. Oh, no, she was
here at some point, though I already knew she was there,
I just wanted to hear him admit it. I grabbed
a router, walked back outside, and that's when I saw her,
my wife, trying to sneak around the side of the
house with no shirt on and now here I am.
Story five. I found out my ex was being unfaithful

(03:07):
because of believe it or not, Pokemon Go. One day,
she mentioned that Pokemon Goal was using a lot of
her phone data. I told her she could actually check
which apps were using the most data in her phone settings,
so I showed her how to do it. But instead
of Pokemon Go being the top app, I noticed something else,
Tinder was using way more data. That's how I found out.

(03:29):
It was a pretty sad moment, but looking back, the
way it happens still makes me shake my head and
laugh a little. I've told this story before, but it's
one I'll probably never forget. Story six. After spending a
week visiting friends in London, I flew back home to Canada.
I had plans to hang out with another group of
friends when I landed, but those plans didn't work out,

(03:50):
so instead I decided to drive the four hours back
to the apartment my girlfriend and I shared. She was
expecting me to get home around six p m. But
I had been awake for about thirty hours straight. I
was beyond exhausted and just wanted to crash into my
own bed, so I got home at six am, hoping
to get some rest. When I opened the bedroom door,

(04:10):
I saw something I'll never forget. There was an extra
pair of feet at the end of the bed, and
they didn't belong to me. That's how I found out.
Story seven. One of my former co workers once loaded
an SD card into the conference room computer. It had
a scam project file on it, or so we thought.
But when the file opened, we were all suddenly shown
private photos of his wife with another man. Everyone in

(04:33):
the room froze. This wasn't just any meeting. It was
a serious budget review with senior staff, outside accountants and auditors,
and he was sitting right there while the screen showed
those images. I quickly leaned over and turned off the projector.
Nobody said a word. He stood up, walked out of
the room, got into his car, and drove off. He
left his phone and laptop on the table. Later we

(04:55):
found out he drove all the way to his parents'
house three states away. He stayed there for a week.
Story eight. This isn't my story. It's something my dad
shared with me a few years ago. Back when I
was a kid. Some of my mom's relatives were visiting
from out of town and they had planned a night
out at the Bingo Hall. My dad couldn't join them
because he was working the night shift from six p

(05:16):
m to two am That night, He finished work early
and was heading home when he happened to see my
babysitter walking down the street. He asked, Hey, aren't you
supposed to be with my son tonight. She replied no,
Your wife called me around eight and said she wasn't
feeling well, so she was staying home. Dad didn't sit
right with him. When he got to the house, the

(05:38):
front door was locked and the lights were off, so
he went around the basement and came into the downstairs door.
As he walked upstairs, he heard sounds just a few
steps away where my mom and her cousin. Two years later,
he nearly packed up and left, taking me with him,
but he chose to stay so I could have what
he hoped would be in normal childhood. Looking back, I

(05:59):
think he stayed for me, but it cost him a lot.
He started working ninety to one hundred hours a week
just to avoid being at home. He was miserable. For
anyone wondering, Yes, my mom had a long term relationship
with her cousin. It had started even before she met
my dad. And yes, I'm sure my dad is really
my dad. We look exactly alike. They're still together today.

(06:21):
I was angry for a long time, but eventually I
let go. Their choices and relationship aren't mine to carry.
I just feel sad for both of them because neither
of them seem happy. Story nine. I once walked in
on my girlfriend while she was with another guy. She
looked shocked and asked, what are you doing here? I said,
you gave me a key. Remember I didn't have work

(06:42):
today and thought i'd surprise you. Fifteen years later, out
of nowhere, she leaves me a message saying she'd liked
to talk. I assume maybe she was doing some kind
of personal growth program and wanted to apologize for what
happened back then, but no, she just wanted to try
and sell me on a business opportunity amway. Story ten.
I came home from work on Christmas Eve. My partner

(07:04):
and I had tickets to a big festival that started
just before New Years, but I couldn't find them anywhere.
I remembered seeing them the month before, so I started
searching the house, thinking maybe they got misplaced. As a
last ditch effort, I decided to check the trash before
taking it out, just in case. That's when I found
something I wasn't expecting I used condom. The thing is,

(07:24):
we lived alone, just the two of us. Story eleven.
To keep it short, I had a feeling something wasn't
right for a few months. One night, while she was asleep,
I gave in and looked through her phone. I know
it's not the best thing to do, but when you
go searching, you usually find what you're afraid of, and
I did. The messages were all there, clear as day.

(07:45):
Even then, she kept denying it. She lied several times
before finally admitting the truth, but she tried to make
it seem like it wasn't a big deal. Just a
couple of nights ago, she told me that the other
guy had asked her out on a real date. She said,
I had to say no, and I looked genuinely sad
about it. We're now in the middle of a divorce,
and yeah, it hurts more than I can describe. Story twelve.

(08:07):
I came home one evening and noticed my husband wasn't there.
It was around eight p m, which was strange. Just
an hour earlier he had said he was heading home.
Something didn't feel right. I had a gut feeling and
decided to drive over to the apartment of a female
friend we both knew well. He always said she was
like assisted to him. We had all been friend for years,

(08:29):
even when a high school together. When I pulled up,
I saw his truck parked outside. I knocked on the door,
no answer. I tried to handle it was unlocked. I
stepped inside. The living room was empty, but I heard
noises coming from the bedroom. I walked down the hall,
opened the door, and there they were, him and her.
We tried to fix things over the next couple of months,

(08:50):
but I couldn't get past it. I didn't even want
him near me anymore. We got divorced four years ago.
Story thirteen. One night I tried to keep up with
my ex and one of her co workers while they
were drinking. Eventually I got tired and decided call a
night and head to bed. A few minutes later, things
got quiet. Then I heard our dog scratching at the door,

(09:12):
so I got to let him in. That's when I
saw them on the couch kissing. I stood there watching
for about ten minutes before they even noticed I was
in the room. By that point, they were already taking
their clothes off. He was touching her in ways that
made it clear this wasn't their first time. There was
no denying it, and honestly, I was glad I finally knew.

(09:32):
We had a very tense conversation. He left the house
still very drunk, and wandered off into the cold night.
She ended up getting a ride to her aunt's house,
but before she left, she begged me go out and
look for him. Story fourteen. This didn't happen to me,
but to a close friend of mine. He had an
affair with someone else from our friend group, and it
all came out because she accidentally left an earring in

(09:54):
the bed. The fallout was huge. Our entire friend group
was shaken. There was a lot of ang and judgment
directed it both of them. But then things took a
much darker turn. She suddenly claimed that what happened wasn't consensual.
Everyone was completely stunned. None of us knew how to respond.
We were trying to process what she said while also

(10:14):
dealing with the shock of the situation. To defend himself,
my friend ended up having to show both the police
and his own wife footage from his home security system
that showed what had actually happened. It was very clear
in the video that the situation was consensual. He was
even handcuffed during it. So not only did he cheat
on his wife, but in order to prove he didn't

(10:35):
do what he was being accused of, he had to
share a recording of the affair. It was an awful
situation all around. Story fifteen. My girlfriend and I were
in a long distance relationship and she had a habit
of going quiet from time to time. Over the past
few weeks, she was still texting me, but kept making
excuses not to visit. Then I went to a party

(10:55):
my friend was hosting. While I was there, I met
one of his friends, who casually mentioned that he had
a new girlfriend. I was surprised he hadn't said anything
about dating someone, so I asked who it was. That's
when he introduced me to my own girlfriend. She had
told everyone that we had broken up, even though she
never told me anything. Turns out she'd been dating my

(11:15):
friend for about a month. Behind my back story sixteen,
This didn't happen to me, but to one of my
best friends. He was playing Xbox in the living room
of the one bedroom apartment he shared with his girlfriend.
While we were gaming together online, he suddenly heard a
strange noise coming from a bedroom. He got up to
check it out and caught his girlfriend with another guy.

(11:36):
She had actually snuck him into the apartment while my
friend was still there just a few feet away playing
his game. We heard the argument through the mic. It
was intense. He kicked her out right then and there.
A few minutes later, he came back on the mic
to tell us what had just happened and said he
was going to get off of the night. We were
in different countries at the time, so we couldn't be
there in person, but we encouraged him to stay on

(11:58):
and talk with us. Just wanted to support him and
make sure he was okay. Their relationship had already been rocky,
but no one could predicted that kind of betrayal, especially
right in the next room. He's a great guy. He
didn't deserve that. The good news he's now in a
healthy relationship with someone who truly cares about him. Story seventeen.

(12:18):
This didn't happen to me, but to my closest friend
when we were growing up. He was in the back
seat of his girlfriend's car. They had only been dating
a short time, and she had just got in the
car about a week earlier. Things were getting a little romantic,
and while they were kissing, he rested his hand on
the area between the back seat headrests and the rear windshield,
you know, kind of the opposite the dashboard. That's when

(12:40):
he felt something sticky. It turned out to be, well,
something that definitely shouldn't have been there. He immediately pulled
his hand back, confused and disgusted. When he asked her
about it, she claimed that she must have accidentally spit
her gum out and that it landed back there and
the sun must have melted it into something sticky. Needless
to say, that explanation didn't really hold up. Story eighteen.

(13:03):
My first serious girlfriend and I had planned to go
to the same college. She started a semester before I did,
so we were long distance for just a few months.
It wasn't too bad. We were on about two hours apart,
and I'd visit as often as I could, but the
distance definitely added some stress in relationship. One night I
got a call from her. When I answered, it was
clear it was a pocket dial. I could hear her

(13:24):
talking to some guy, but I couldn't really understand what
they were saying. I tried calling her right back and
she picked up. I asked what she was up to,
and she told me she was already in bed about
to go to sleep. I told her about to call
I just got and she casually said, oh, that was
probably Jack. You met him once. He just stopped by
to borrow something. I thought it sounded a little off,

(13:45):
but I trusted her, so I let it go. A
couple of weeks later, I visited her and got to
meet some of her college friends. Everyone seemed cool, including
this one guy, Luke. After I got back home, I
got a message on Facebook from Luke. He said, Hey, man,
I hate to be the one to tell you this,
but I think you're a good guy and you don't
deserve what's happening. She's been seeing another guy almost since

(14:08):
she started here. My heart sank, but I needed to
hear it from her, so I called her and asked,
are you cheating on me? She took a deep breath
and then said, well, at least I don't have to
lie anymore. Turns out the guy I heard during that
accidental call wasn't Jack. It was the other guy. And
I had believed her because I never thought she'd lie
to me. It hurt a lot, but looking back, I'm

(14:30):
really thankful Luke reached out to me. Funny thing is,
most of the people I met through her actually ended
up staying friends with me, not her. So when I
started at the school the next semester, I already had
a solid group of people around me, and some of
them are still close friends to this day. Story nineteen.
My boyfriend had been asking for a threesome for months.
I wasn't sure at first, but eventually I agreed. We

(14:53):
invited a mutual friend of ours to join, and one
night she came over. Things started off fine and everything
seemed going okay until he said something that made everything stop.
Right in the middle of things. He blurted out, wow,
you feel even better than usual. The room went completely silent.
He quickly tried to cover it up, saying he was
just thinking about me and that things just felt different

(15:15):
in the moment, but our friend looked shocked and guilty.
She broke down and confessed right there. Turns out they
had been together behind my back. She apologized and asked
me to forgive her. I was too stunned to even
know what to say. We don't really talk anymore. Last
I heard the two of them have been dating for
over a year now. Story twenty. I'm using an alternate

(15:35):
account for obvious reason. My ex wife had started texting
a lot, and anytime I asked her about it, she'd
get really vague. Sometimes she'd even smirk, like she enjoyed
making me jealous. That was just the kind of person
she was. One day, I noticed that she had accidentally
left her email account logging on my phone. While I
wasn't actively snooping, something caught my eye an Airbnb confirmation

(15:58):
for a weekend trip to a cozy spot in another state.
At the time, we were living in different states, so
it immediately stood out the place was clearly set up
for two people. It looked like a quiet, romantic getaway.
That raised some red flags. I decided to keep an
eye on her Airbnb activity. We were still friends on
the app, so I figured I might see a review

(16:19):
from the host that could give me more detailed Sure Enough,
a review popped up a few days later. It said
something like her name and some guy not me were
wonderful guests. They left the place spotless and were very respectful.
The host even used both of their name. At that point,
I was pretty sure I knew what had happened. Soon after,

(16:39):
she must have realized the review was public. She tried
to get Airbnb to remove it. When that didn't work,
she changed the name on her profile and eventually deleted
her entire account. Later, during a couple's counseling session, I
brought it up. She already had a story prepared. She
claimed she had planned to take the trip with female
co worker, but that co worker's broke down, so the

(17:01):
co worker's boyfriend came instead. According to her, they all
stayed there together, but the boyfriend accidentally signed a guest book,
which is why his name showed up in the review.
It sounded like a stretch, and in hindsight, I don't
believe it. We're no longer married. Story twenty one. I
found out my ex boyfriend had been cheating on me
in the most unexpected way. We had been together from

(17:23):
the time I was fifteen until eighteen. One day I
went to the apartment he shared with his mom and
his two little sisters. When I walked in, the youngest
sister looked up at me and asked, when did you leave.
I was confused and said, wait, when was I even here?
She replied, you were here all night. I could hear
you talking to his name. I hadn't been there in

(17:46):
two days. I turned to him and asked what she
was talking about. He started stumbling through his words, talking
a lot but saying nothing. After a few awkward minutes,
he finally admitted it. He had someone else over and
his little sister accident. I only told the truth. Good
riddance Story twenty two. I've shared parts of this before,
but here's how it all unfolded. At some point my

(18:08):
exchange a password on his phone. I didn't push it.
I trusted him for a while, but months passed and
something just didn't sit right. I couldn't shake this feeling
that something was off. One day, I picked up his
phone while he was asleep. It still recognized my thumbprint,
and there it was, the truth, staring back at me.
A messaging app was already open. He was planning to

(18:30):
meet another woman the next day. I didn't say anything
right away. I sent him off to work like normal.
Then I sat down and started digging. I went through
a long trail of emails, resetting passwords until I finally
got into the account tied to that app. What I
found was overwhelming. He had been sending thousands of messages
every year for the past four years. He was basically

(18:51):
living a second life, one that no one knew about.
What made it worse was that our relationship seemed stronger
than ever. We had even been in therapy together for
the last eight months, once a week, working on communication,
and yet the entire time he had been hiding everything
from me, from our therapist, from everyone. At the time,

(19:11):
it felt like my whole world came crashing down. I
remember thinking what did I do to deserve this? And
when I thought that, something inside me just snapped. I
didn't cry, I didn't scream. I just got up, went out,
bought a big coffee, and picked up a few cardboard boxes.
By the time he came home from work, I had
packed up all his things and changed the locks. That

(19:33):
was it. Story twenty three. My neighbor is currently deployed
and unfortunately it seems like his wife is being unfaithful
while he's away. Most of the time, it's the same
guy showing up at her place, but every now and
then he brings a friend with him. I don't know
the neighbor personally. He moved and while I was deployed
and By the time I got back, he had already

(19:54):
left for his own assignment. Not long after that, these
guys started showing up. It's frustrating and heartening to witness.
I really wish I knew the guy so I could
let him know what's going on. It's just a sad
situation all around. People really need to do better. Story
twenty four. This was my relationship, but something that happened
while I was dating my ex boyfriend. His mom invited

(20:16):
me out to lunch so we could get to know
each other better. We really hit it off. It was
a great time and we laughed a lot. After lunch,
we were headed to a baby's shower, but she realized
she'd forgotten the gift of home, so we swung by
her house to grab it. That's when everything changed. We
walked in and found her husband on the couch being
unfaithful with the neighbor. She was completely shocked. I could

(20:38):
see it all over her face. From that day forward,
she was never quite the same around me. I think
she felt embarrassed or maybe just didn't want to talk
about it, but the warm she showed me before was gone.
Her son, my boyfriend at the time, didn't think his
dad had done anything wrong. He said his mom had
let herself go. Even though she was five feet six
inches and around one and forty pounds, not exactly unhealthy

(21:02):
by any means. That mindset was a deal breaker for me.
We eventually broke up, and I never found out what
happened to his parents. Story twenty five. I came home
earlier than expected one day. They had just enough time
to get dressed, but it didn't look natural. You could
tell something had just happened. It felt like one of
those scenes in the TV show where people get caught

(21:22):
and try to act like everything's normal, even though it
clearly isn't. I looked at him and simply asked him
to leave. He did. Then came the argument. She tried
to lie at first, but it didn't take long before
she admitted the truth. It wasn't the first time she
had been unfaithful, but it was the first time I
actually caught her in the moment. Before that, it had
been text messages and flirty conversations. She always said she

(21:44):
never met up with anyone, that it was just pictures
and words. Looking back, that might have been the truth
or maybe not. I'll never really know. We ended up
getting a divorce. Years have passed, we both remarried. We're
not friends, but we're civil and honestly, that's enough. Story
twenty six. Things between us had been a little rocky

(22:05):
for a while. I was working long hours and felt
drained most of the time. When she wanted to go
out with friends, I often stayed home. I knew it
was creating distance between us. With Valentine's Day coming up,
I wanted to surprise her with something thoughtful, so I
texted one of her close friends to see if she
had mentioned anything she'd love to do. While waiting for

(22:25):
a reply, I was in another room and I heard
her phone buzz. I glanced over and saw her friend's
name pop up, but the number under wasn't the same
one I had just texted. It hit me like a
wave of ice. My heart sank. I called the number
for my own phone. It rang and eventually went a voicemail.
It wasn't her friend, it was another guy. I confronted her.

(22:46):
She didn't even try to deny it. She said she
had already packed a bag and was waiting for the
moment I found out. She had no intention of working
things out. A month later, she was gone. That moment
could have broken me, and for a while I nearly did.
But I made a choice. I could either stay hurt
and miserable, or I could move forward, choose happiness and

(23:06):
stay open to something better. Today I'm remarried. I have
two amazing little boys and a wonderful wife who brings
light into my life. If you're reading this, whether it's
because you've been through something similar or just out of curiosity,
know this, even in the middle of heartbreak, you still
have a choice. Choose to be happy, Choose to be
the version of yourself that you can be proud of.

(23:28):
There's always a chance to move on to something better.
Story twenty seven. Something wild happened at my college recently.
A professor accidentally uploaded handwritten letters either written by or
to his romantic partner, on the class website. The twist,
his wife is also a professor at the same college. Yeah, awkward.
No one sure how the mistake happened, but the letters

(23:49):
were up long enough for students to download them, so
of course they started making their way around campus. One
of my friends actually read them and said they were intense.
She described him as being about relationships between men and women,
mostly centered around intimacy and emotions. Apparently one of the
letters even included a flow chart showing how to handle
him in that context. Her exact words, it was crim City.

(24:12):
The professor involved was actually pretty young, early thirties, which
surprised a lot of us. You expect something like this
from someone older and maybe a bit careless with tech,
But nope, from what I've heard, this actually happened a
few months back, but the letter started circulating again recently.
He's no longer at the school, and there were rumors
that the whole situation really took a toll on him mentally.

(24:33):
As for his wife, I can't imagine how hard that
must have been, not just to find out, but to
have it play out publicly, even though it caused quite
the buzz around campus. I don't have the letters and
wouldn't share them even if I did. It just doesn't
sit right with me. But still with a story story.
Twenty eight Mount St. Augustine erupted an Alaska back in

(24:54):
nineteen eighty six, and the ash cloud forced a lot
of military activity to pause at Elmendorf Fairf S Base.
They had to evacuate all the planes because the ash
in the air was dangerous for engines. That eruption ended
up sending my unit home from Korea three days early.
I didn't tell anyone I was coming, just wanted to
surprise my wife. I got home around two AM, walked

(25:15):
into our bedroom and found a man sleeping next to
her in our bed story. Twenty nine one morning, my
husband was getting ready for work and I noticed him
packing up his goal Pro. That caught my attention. I thought,
why would he need his camera for work? Something didn't
sit right with me, especially since he had just come
back from a guy's only trip to the Philippines. My

(25:36):
instincts kicked in. While he was in the shower, I
quietly swapped his GoPro with mine, planning to go through
the footage once he left the house. After he was gone,
I powered it on and started looking through the files.
There were three videos, and just like that, all my
suspicions were confirmed. There he was on camera with somebody
had clearly paid to be there, no protection, no shame.

(25:58):
He was looking into the camera, striking poses, acting like
he was filming a professional scene. I was furious, but honestly,
there was a moment where I just stare at the
screen and thought, really, this is a performance you're proud of.
It was heartbreaking but also ridiculously absurd. Story thirty Back
in college, I had a girlfriend and we ended up

(26:18):
living together for about a year. At some point I
started noticing something strange. She always kept her phone on
silent and she would ignore calls from someone saved as Jennifer.
It bugged me, so one day I wrote down the number.
A week later, curiosity got the best of me and
I called it. Turns out Jennifer wasn't Jennifer at all.
It was her other boyfriend, a guy she had never

(26:41):
officially broken up with before coming to college. Neither of
us had any idea the other existed. She had been
visiting him on weekends and during school breaks, saying she
was going home to see her parents. We broke up
not long after that, but what really through me was
what her mom said. She told me that sometimes you
just have to accept it, and that I owe her
daughter an apology for ending the relationship. It actually got

(27:04):
worse after that, but that's the core of it. Story
thirty one. One day I went a log into our
shared email account and suggested address popped up. One I
didn't recognize. Out of curiosity, I clicked it. I was
able to answer all the security questions and reset the password.
What I found inside confirmed every fear I had pushed down.

(27:25):
There were emails between my husband and our neighbor. What
made it even worse was that we were in therapy
at the time try and rebuild our relationship because of
his affair with her, and here they were sending each
other along romantic emails and planning when I'd be out
of house so they could see each other. But the
real heartbreak, our seven year old daughter was the one
who accidentally caught them the first time she walked into

(27:48):
our bedroom while I was at work. That's how it
all started to unravel. Story thirty two. This didn't happen
to me, but to a medical resident I met recently
during rotation. He's one of the kindest people I've ever met,
A brilliant, hard working, and training to become a trauma surgeon.
Despite all that, he's incredibly humble. He had been married
for two years. One night, he got off a thirty

(28:09):
hour hospital shift early and decided to surprise his wife.
It was the anniversary of the day they first met,
so he picked up her favorite dessert and some flowers
on the way home. But when he walked into their home,
he found her in bed with another man, a complete stranger.
He was exhausted, overwhelmed, and just lost. He didn't yell,
he didn't argue. He simply turned around, walked out, and

(28:32):
drove back to the hospital. I saw him around five am,
sitting alone in the parking lot. He was hunched over crying.
He didn't even have his phone with him, just sitting
there in the dark, completely heartbroken. It's rare to see
a grown man cry like that, and it hit hard.
We ended up calling his father, who came to pick
him up. Later we found out it wasn't the first

(28:54):
time his wife had been unfaithful. He ended up taking
a leave from residency to process everything and recover. I
truly hope he's doing better now. He's one of those
people who is meant to help others, and I know
he'll make an incredible doctor. One day Story thirty three.
Just to be clear, this didn't happen to me, but
to a close friend of mine. I've shared this story

(29:15):
a couple of times because it's one of those moments
you never forget. It was the early two thousand, my
friend's husband was deployed to a rock. They had a
ten year old son together, and from the outside everything
looked like a happy, stable marriage. One day, I was
at home when another friend called me, yelling, turn on
the news right now. I turned it on and saw

(29:36):
a local human interest segment. A high school about thirty
miles away was doing a fundraiser Relay for Life or
something similar, and as a special surprise for one of participants,
they arranged a live video call from a rock on
the giant football jumbatron. Up came a smiling soldier doing
a video message. That soldier was my friend's husband. On

(29:56):
live TV in front of the crowd, he told another
woman and her two kids how much he loved him
and how excited he was to come home to them.
The news crew loved it. They praised him for being
such a dedicated husband and father. Meanwhile, I'm sitting there
completely stunned. So was the rest of our friend group.
We all got to get her that night to figure
out how to break the news. I was the one

(30:18):
nominated to talk to her. The next day, I sat
her down and told her everything we had seen. She
didn't believe it. At first, but she called the news
station and they let her come in and view the
footage herself. To their credit, they were kind and apologetic
once they realized what had happened. As for how it
all ended, Unfortunately, it didn't get better. She confronted him

(30:38):
and they started the divorce process. He went on to
marry the woman from a video and mostly disappeared from
his first son's life. It was heartbreaking, but through it all,
my friend showed incredible strength. She didn't deserve what happened
to her, but she faced it with grace and courage.
Story thirty four. On our six month with anniversary, I
wanted to do something sweet. I planned to post little

(31:00):
note on his Facebook page, just something cute to celebrate
the day. While I was on his profile, I accidentally
saw a message he sent to his X. He was
telling her how unhappy he was with me, how I
was a terrible wife, and how much he missed her.
It hit me hard, but instead of stopping there, I
kept digging. I wish I hadn't, but I did. I
found out he had been using Tinder for a week

(31:22):
while I was away taking care of my mom. I
also saw that he had visited websites that made it
pretty clear he was looking for more than just attention.
And then I found a condom under our bed. Even
with all of that, everything I saw, everything I felt,
my foolish heart still forgave him Story thirty five. This
didn't happen to me, but to my neighbor, who also

(31:44):
happens to be my best friend. He was throwing a
big party for his thirtieth birthday at his condo. There
were a bunch of people over and he was definitely
feeling it, maybe a seven out of ten on the scale.
At one point, he spilled beer on his shirt and
decided to change. He asked me to come upstairs with
him because he wanted to ask me something in private.
We went up to his room, and when he opened

(32:04):
the door, we both froze. There on his bed was
his boss with his fiance. The silence was unbearable. You
could see the panic on their faces. Then came the
classic line, this isn't what it looks like. Without missing
a beat, my friend just said, if this isn't what
it looks like, why was he that far inside you?
I was stunned, completely speechless. His boss awkwardly got dressed

(32:26):
while I walked him out of the party. The guy
had the nerve to grab a drink on the way out,
like he was just heading home from a normal night out.
My friend came back downstairs, grabbed a beer, chugged it,
and said loud enough of the whole room to hear.
My now ex fiance was just caught with my boss.
Her legs were behind her head, which is funny because
with me, she just lays there like a starfish. Anyway,

(32:48):
let's get really drunk. He was a mess for a
while after that, understandably, Thankfully, the condo was in his name,
he paid for both cars, and his fiance had just
quit her job to be a stay at home partner.
Let's just say carma came quickly. PostScript, he took about
a year to heal and eventually started dating again. I
set him up with a coworker mine. They've been great together.

(33:11):
As for the boss, turns out he later got caught
with the wife of the company owner. He was fired
and guests who got promoted My buddy. His ex fiance
ended up moving back in with her parents, and her
lifestyle took a major nosedive. I ran into her once
she tried to be flirty with me. I shut it
down and told her not to speak to me again.

(33:32):
Relationships come and go, but true friends they're rare. You
protect them. Story thirty six. It was supposed to be
a rare and special night, just the two of us.
The kids were at their grandparents, and I was feeling great.
I had dressed up, felt confident, and didn't even want
to carry a purse or my phone. So I use
his phone to confirm our dinner reservation. Later, after we ate,

(33:55):
I use his phone again to check movie times. While
scrolling through his text I noticed the name his frequently
contacted list and casually asked, who's Lisa. He quickly snatched
the phone from my hand and said, she's just a
co worker. Fast forward three hours, I was standing outside
throwing his clothes into his car. I had gone online
and found hundreds of messages to multiple women. Still I stayed.

(34:18):
I know now that it was because I was in
love and afraid of starting over. He had been part
of my life since I was young, my entire adult life, really,
so I didn't know what life looked like without him.
That was back in two thousand and six. We had
our nineteenth wedding anniversary this past January. My divorce was
finalized in March. He married one of the many women

(34:38):
he had been seen behind my back in June. As
for me, I'm finally enjoying the piece of being on
my own for the first time. I'm learning who I
am outside a relationship, and with my last child heading
off this fall, I'll officially be an empty nester. It
took a long time to get here, but I'm here, free, healing,
and finally just living for me. Store thirty seven, I

(35:01):
had this strange, sinking feeling that something wasn't right with
my new boyfriend's friend from college. It started when he
suddenly changed a lock screen on his phone. He had
given me the password one night while he was drunk,
so curiosity got the better me and I checked it.
I found a bunch of notes on his phone. They
weren't anything too obvious, just vague enough to be suspicious,

(35:21):
so I asked him about them. He told me I
was overreacting and that it was nothing, but I couldn't
shake the feeling. Later that day, at work, I searched
the girl's name on Facebook and decided to message her.
What she told me floored me. He had told her
that I was in the hospital and that he was
only pretending to date me for the sake of my
mental health. Meanwhile, he was telling her they could be

(35:42):
together for real. We both ended up confronting him. She
decided to keep dating him and even went so far
as to spread rumors about me afterward. But just recently
I found out he cheated on her too. Somehow, that
felt like a bit of justice. Story thirty eight. I
caught my now ex husband in the middle of one
of the most painful times of my life. I was

(36:02):
six months pregnant with our second child, and I could
tell something was off, not just with him, but with
my best friend at the time too. The distance, the
weird energy, it didn't feel right. Then one night, around
two am, his phone went off. I picked it up
and noticed a messaging app one hadn't seen before, one
that required a separate password. Out of curiosity, I tried

(36:24):
his birthday. It worked wifound made my stomach drop. There
were over seven thousand messages along with photos between him
and my best friend. Some of the messages even made
it seem like they were texting each other while sitting
with me in the same room. I was devastated. I
woke him up immediately, and instead of talking, he locked
himself in the bathroom and said he was going to

(36:46):
harm himself. It was emotional chaos. Even after that, I
stayed for another year try and make it work. I
wanted to believe things could get better for the kids,
for the history we had, for the version of us
I thought was real, But deep down I knew. Eventually
I found the strength to close that chapter, and I'm
so grateful I did. Story thirty nine, we were at

(37:07):
Disney with our kids, day two of a seven a
family trip that her father had been planning and talking
about for years. When our kids were born, her parents
told us that when they turned seven, they'd take the
whole family to Disney, and seven years later that promise
became real. By then, we've been together for over a decade.
We had a house, a great job, healthy kids, everything

(37:30):
you'd imagine when you think of the so called American dream.
Life was good, really good. Until that night. I picked
up her phone to send an alarm, nothing more and
nothing suspicious, just routine. But then I saw the messages,
so many messages. I felt something drop in my chest.
At first, it didn't register then the reality hit. I scrolled,

(37:50):
kept reading and the truth unfolded in front of me.
I didn't even confront her right away. I stepped out
of the room, afraid of what I might say, or
do I need to hear it for myself. So I
called a number. A man answered, his voice sleepy but soft.
He said, hello, darling, I'm glad to hear from you.
That was the moment everything changed. It was like a

(38:12):
switch flipped, like I had just stepped into a different
version of my life, one where everything I thought I
knew was suddenly wrong. All I could think was, from
this moment on, nothing will ever be the same story.
Forty that morning, I woke up to my girlfriend getting
a text from a coworker. Nothing in the message seemed
suspicious on its own, but there were no previous texts

(38:32):
in the thread, which felt strange. It looked like a reply,
like there was a whole conversation missing. She acted just
a confused, brushing it off. I wasn't feeling well and
told her I might skip class that morning, but she
was unusually persistent, almost too insistent, that I should still go.
That stuck with me. On the way there. I started
feeling worse. I ended up getting sick while stuck on

(38:54):
the highway no shoulder to pull over. I finally found
place to stop and clean up, but I was mess
physically and emotionally. I called her and said, I can't
make it to class. I'm coming home. That's when she
told me she was in the next town over getting
brunch with the same co worker from the text earlier.
I went home, took a shower, and before I even

(39:15):
got dressed again, I checked her phone records. There was
dozens of messages exchange between them overnight, way more than
just a casual chat. I confronted her. She admitted they
had been getting closed. I think she said they had kissed.
Maybe it was more. Either way, the trust was gone.
I was so sick I couldn't get out of bed.
I had to be at work early the next morning,

(39:36):
so I just stayed in bed the rest of the day.
But the next day I got home from work before
she woke up, and when she did, she woke up
to the sound of me packing my things. I moved
out that morning and went home. And to make matters worse,
the person she cheated with wasn't stranger. It was someone
we'd hung out with I'd given her rides, been friendly,

(39:57):
treated her like part of our world. Turns out, both
of their friends knew I was the only one left
in the dark. Story forty one. He was my husband,
but he had just proposed me that morning. I was
over the moon. He told me he had to go
in to cover a shift at work. He was in
law enforcement, and that seemed completely normal. He usually called
me during his dinner break when he worked that shift,

(40:19):
but that night nothing. I started getting worried, so I
called him, but someone else answered the phone, a stranger.
They said, oh, the guy who owns his phone. Yeah,
I think he went up to a room with his girlfriend.
We got his phone down here waiting for him. They
were at a hotel. It didn't take long to find
out the truth. He had used work as an excuse

(40:39):
to go spend the night with another woman, a woman
he had known since the academy, and she wasn't single.
She was married. The next morning, he came to pick
me up so we could tell our parents the big
news together over brunch, I refused to go. Looking back,
I wish I had waited until brunch, let him pay
for a meal, and then dropped the truth bomb in
front of everyone. But I was young. I didn't think

(41:02):
that far ahead. Still, I'm glad I found out when
I did. Story forty two. My ex met someone in
one of his college classes who introduced him to the
idea of polyamorous relationships. Instead of having an open and
honest conversation with me about it, he just went ahead
and started dating her and another woman without ever telling me.
I had no idea. One day, I stopped by his

(41:24):
place after visiting my dad, and that's when I found out.
I walked in and saw him in bed with both
of them. I was completely blindsided. He never asked if
I was comfortable with that kind of relationship. He never
even brought it up. Funny enough, they all broke up
not too long ago because the two women decided they
didn't one date someone who was a straight cisgender man.

(41:44):
It's been a journey, but at least now I know
what kind of person he really was, and I'm better
off for it. Story forty three. This happened just two
days ago. I was in Florida on vacation with my
girlfriend of six years, our four year old son, Her family,
and a few of her friends were at a beach house,
and she had been taking pictures down by the water
all afternoon. When we got back, everyone was in the

(42:06):
kitchen getting dinner ready. I picked up her phone to
send some of the beach photos to my family. As
I was scrolling through her messages to find the right thread,
I noticed a name that stopped me cold, her ex boyfriend.
Out of instinct, I tapped on it. Right at the
top of the conversation were videos, explicit ones that they
had sent to each other. I couldn't hold it in.

(42:27):
I yelled, what is this loud enough of the whole
kitchen to hear. Her. Mom looked over and asked what
was wrong, and I said exactly what I had seen.
That's when she started explaining. She said she'd gone out
with some friends, gotten drunk, ran into him, and ended
up staying out all night. She admitted to using drugs
and claimed she blacked out the next night and sent
those videos. She swore it only happened once, but that

(42:50):
didn't sit right with me. When she fell asleep, I
looked through her phone again. What I found told a
different story. She had seen him multiple times over the
last two months. Those are them on dates, smiling hugging,
posing like a couple. It wasn't some one time mistake.
It had been going on behind my back for a while.
Her brother and dad were furious when they found out rightfully,

(43:13):
so I left the next morning. The vacation was ruined,
the trust was shattered, and just like that, the family
I thought we had completely fell apart. Story forty four.
My dad was very sick and then he passed away.
I was pregnant at the time and at the hospital
handling all the things that follow when someone dies. My
mind was foggy and I couldn't remember my Social Security number.

(43:36):
Pregnancy brain had completely taken over, so I called my
husband and asked him to go home and get it
for me. Hours went by, no response, no return calls, nothing.
I finally told the hospital i'd come back with the
info and drove home myself, worried something had happened. When
I got there, I tried open the front door, but
it wouldn't budge. Something was blocking. It turned out it

(43:59):
was a cow couch. My husband had shoved the couch
up against the door. I kept pushing and asking him
what was going on. He yelled from inside, telling me
to stop. Eventually he moved the couch and opened the door,
and the scene inside was something I'll never forget. He
was doing drugs. They were everywhere. He was on probation
at the time. We fought. It was loud, heartbreaking, chaotic,

(44:22):
and then I found something even worse. There was a
girl hiding in the closet, an underage girl. For reasons
I still don't fully understand, I stayed. I was in shock,
I was pregnant. I thought I could fix it. But
over the next two years, and after a lot of therapy,
I discovered more. He had been unfaithful throughout our entire relationship.

(44:42):
There was never just one betrayal. So I finally made
a decision that changed my life. I calmly packed his things,
left him waiting for him, and filed for divorce that
same week. It's now been a year since my divorce
was finalized. I ended up dating again sooner than I expected,
and life had a surprise for me. I reconnected with
someone I've known since high school. We started slow, but

(45:05):
now I'm completely in love. He treats me and my
daughter with so much care, kindness, and respect. If you're
reading this and you're stuck in a relationship, full of hurt.
Please know you don't have to stay. There's better out there.
You just have to believe you deserve it, and you do.
Story forty five. I open Yahoo on our shared desktop
one day and notice an email something from his best friend.

(45:28):
Out of curiosity, I clicked on it. That's when everything unraveled.
The email was meant for my husband. It was full
of advice, advice about how to handle being in love
with another woman. That woman wasn't me. She was his
boss's wife. And to make it worse, his boss wasn't
just his employer, he was his only bandmate and really
his only close friend. Turns out my husband had been

(45:51):
sleeping with her at their house while the boss's friend
was passed out drunk after band practice. It was awful,
but it got messier. She had been stringing along multiple
guys at the same time, playing them against each other.
She eventually left both my husband and his boss for
a third guy. Last I heard another man, Guy number four,
ended up getting full custody of her child. As for me,

(46:14):
I moved on. I remarried an amazing man, and now
I have the sweetest baby boy. As I write this,
he's softly snoring next to me while we relax in
our pajamas and watch Hulu. Life has a way of
working out Story forty six. I had my suspicions for
a couple of months, but nothing solid. My ex and
I had been together for three years high school sweethearts.

(46:36):
After graduation, she moved to town about forty miles away,
but we still saw each other often most weekends. She'd
come into city to stay with me. She had a
separate group of friends back home, and some of them
were guys, which didn't bother me. I trusted her, or
at least I thought I did. One night, I randomly
woke up and decided to check Facebook. That's when I

(46:57):
saw it. She had been tagging a photo One of
our guy friends, the one I vaguely knew of, had
posted it as his new profile picture. He was holding
her in his arms and kissing her. It wasn't just
a playful moment, it was clear. I message him calmly,
just asked what's going on? He replied right away, surprise
and just as confused as I was. We talked and

(47:19):
decided to meet up for coffee the next morning. The twist,
my ex was staying over at my place that night,
So when he walked into the cafe and sat down
next to me, her face turned pale. She didn't even
try to lie. She started begging forgiveness, understanding anything. She
claimed she loved both of us, that it had all
been so complicated, But the truth it had been going

(47:42):
on for seven months. Every weekend she came to see me,
she'd head back to him during the week. Two lives,
two relationships, no honesty. But here's the best part. He
and I became close friends. Now years later, we share
a house with my fiance and his girlfriend. Life moved on.
We moved on and asked for her. Yeah, we're good,

(48:03):
Thanks for the life. Lesson Taylor story forty seven. It
wasn't spouse, but a significant other. I had been dating
for about a year. We lived in the same city,
but didn't live together. One day, a mutual friend made
a post on Facebook saying how happy she was to
see him and another woman together over the weekend in
an entirely different city. I felt my heart sink. I

(48:24):
message her privately and asked if she could confirm what
I already suspected. She replied quickly, apologizing for the post
and saying she didn't realize he and I were still together.
Then she told me something that stopped me cold. He
and this other woman had been together for three years.
I had been dating him for one. I texted him
and casually asked what he had been up to that weekend.

(48:45):
He said it was just a business trip. I called
him out. That's when he asked if we could meet
up when he got back. Say he didn't want to
offend himself over the phone. I told him he had
two choices, talk to me now or never hear from
me again. Story forty eight. He told me he was
helping his grandma retile her bathroom. Said she wasn't feeling
well and was stressing out about it not being finished

(49:06):
that day. I didn't question it. I was at work anyway,
and if I hadn't been, I probably would have offered
a help. An hour later, my mom took my younger
brothers out to a nearby restaurant and guess who she
saw My then boyfriend. Very much not with his grandmother.
He was sitting in a booth, kissing and getting hands
with a woman I actually worked with, the same woman

(49:28):
who had told me before that she couldn't stand him.
Claimed he was arrogant, immature, and not her type at all.
Apparently that changed when my mom walked up to them
and asked what was going on. He tried to tell
the woman was his sick grandma. She wasn't buying it,
and honestly, neither would anyone else. The woman was twenty two,
wearing a haltered top and jeans, and definitely didn't look

(49:50):
like someone's elderly relative. My mom called him out right
there and then gave me a call. I finished my shift,
went home, calmly, gathered as things and packed them all up.
Then I drove over to his actual grandma's house and
dropped the bags off at her door. She had no
idea what it happened. I just smiled and said, looks
like my boyfriend went on a date without me. Here's

(50:11):
the kicker. I'm a guy, so seeing him with a woman,
especially that woman someone I worked with, completely through me. Later,
she admitted she knew we were dating the whole time.
When I asked why she go along with it, she
just shrugged and said, I like being the other person,
no pressure to commit. Honestly, I'm not even angry anymore.
People make choices, sometimes bad ones. I just wish he

(50:35):
hadn't lied, and I wish she hadn't treated someone else's
relationship like a game. But in the end, I walked
away with clarity and a story that still gets a
laugh when I tell it. Story forty nine. This didn't
happen to me, It happened to my brother. He was
at a small get together with his wife and a
couple of close friends, including his best friend. It was
nothing wild, just a quiet evening. After a while, he

(50:58):
got tired and decided to home. His wife stayed behind.
She gave a quick excuse and insisted she wanted to
hang out a little longer. He didn't think much of it.
His best friend was there, somebody trusted completely, so he
figured she'd be safe and he'd see her later. He
got in his car and pulled out the driveway. But
before he could drive away, something told him to look

(51:19):
in the rear view mirror. The lights in the room
they were justin had gone dark. That moment hit him hard.
He had been carrying this feeling, just a quiet, persistent
sense that something wasn't right between them. Ever since their
baby passed away. Things had changed. It was rule sudden
infant death syndrome, a tragedy. But while he was trying
to process the grief and heal, she pulled away. She

(51:41):
shut him out emotionally. They never truly mourned together, and
a distance between them grew. That night, watching the lights
go out, everything clicked into place. He turned around. The
front door was still unlocked. The house was dark except
for one room. He walked the quiet halls and opened
the only door with any life behind it, and that's
when he saw it. His wife would not one, but

(52:04):
two men. One of them was his best friend. The
betrayal was complete. The grief he had buried, the trust
he held for his closest friend, and the last bits
of hope he had for their relationship all shattered in
that instant. He hasn't really been the same sins Some
things leave scars that don't fully fade. Story fifty. We
were just playing a casual game of Uno, nothing serious,

(52:25):
just one of those quiet evenings at home. I got
out to grab a cup of coffee and halfway to
the kitchen turn around to ask if she wanted anything.
That's when I saw it. She was swapping out a
seven card for a wild draw for right there in
playing sight I didn't say anything at first, just stared.
Eventually we talked about it. We decided to stay together

(52:46):
for the kids. But I'll be honest. Once you catch
someone cheating at uno like that, it changes things. You
can forgive, but you never really forget. Story fifty one.
This wasn't spouse but my college boyfriend. Things between us
had felt aff for a little while. The energy had
shifted more distance, less connection. One day he asked if

(53:06):
I could come over because he wanted to talk. He
lived close by, so I walked over, and during that
walk I was preparing myself. I thought, whatever he wants
to say, I can handle it as long as he's
not cheating on me and as long as he's not
breaking up with me. So I made a plan in
my head. I had just come right out and ask,
did you cheat on me? Are we breaking up? He'd

(53:27):
laugh it off, say of course not, and we'd go
from there. We'd talk it out, fix whatever was wrong.
That was a plan. I walked and looked at him
and said did you cheat on me? And I watched
his face fall completely. Turns out the conversation didn't go
how either of us had planned. Story fifty two I'm
about five feet six inches on a good day, and

(53:48):
one afternoon, I got into the passenger seat of my
partner's car. Right away I noticed something strange. The seat
was pushed all the way back. Now that might not
seem like a big deal to most people, but in
the five years we'd owned that car, I couldn't remember
a single time it had been adjusted that far back.
I always sat in that seat, and it had always
stayed in the same spot. So I casually asked, why

(54:10):
is the seat pushed back so far? That one simple
question started everything. What followed was a long and painful conversation.
At first, she was quiet, then she got defensive. Eventually
things came out that I wish I hadn't heard. She
had been spending time with someone else at Tajegai, someone
she didn't tell me about. The seat had been moved

(54:31):
to make room for him. I never expected something like
that to start with a car seat, but it did.
Looking back, she wasn't unintelligent. In fact, she was smart
in many ways, but she was also very trusting, sometimes
too trusting, and didn't realize how her actions would affect me.
That moment in the car changed everything between us. It
was the star of the truth coming out and the

(54:52):
beginning of the end of our relationship. Story fifty three.
The story goes back to St. Patrick's day two thousand
and seven. My wife had plans to go out with
some co workers, including a couple we both knew pretty well.
I had finals at Monday, and I was also working
full time, so I told her I'd stay in and study.
She said she still wanted to go out. I handed

(55:13):
her some cash, told her that fun, and honestly, I
appreciated the quiet night. To myself. Everything seemed fine until
around one a m. That's when she stopped replying to
my text. Now, I'm not the kind of person who
constantly checks in, so I wasn't blowing up her phone
or anything, but I did notice the silence. Out of curiosity,

(55:34):
I checked our location sharing app. We had both agreed
to keep it on just as a safety thing, but
hers had suddenly been turned off. Now here's the thing.
She's not tech savvy. There's no way she would have
turned that off on accident. At that point, something just
didn't sit right. I went to her iPad to try
and use a fine my iPhone feature, but the password
had been changed. That made my heart drop a little.

(55:57):
Then I tried her laptop, same thing, locked change password.
Now I was really concerned. I checked the Apple Watch
she left charging in the bedroom. It had old messages
sink from earlier that evening. One conversation stood out. It
was a thread going back weeks with an unsaved number.
I started reading through it. It was from a coworker

(56:17):
of hers, a single guy, and judging by the tone
and the details, they had something going on that night.
She had gone to meet him, not the co workers
she told me about. He even sent her his address.
So I did what anyone might do. I drove over.
When I got there, I saw a car parked outside
the building. I didn't go in. I didn't knock. I

(56:37):
just stood there for a moment, then took a picture
of her car and sent to her with a message
that said come out. She didn't, and yeah, I'll admit.
I had a wave of emotions come over me, anger, confusion, sadness.
I thought about storming in there, but then something hit me,
this isn't worth ruining my life over. I didn't want
to do something in the heat of the moment that

(56:58):
I couldn't take back. So I drove home. Hours later,
she finally called. At first, she denied everything, tried to
twist the story, but when I really thought about it,
no matter how she tried to spin it, it was
clear she had lied and she had betrayed my trust.
And the worst part, she looked me in the earlier
that day and asked for money, knowing full well she

(57:20):
wasn't going where she said she was going. Story fifty four.
I once met this girl who worked a late shift
at a local pharmacy. We talked a few times when
I stopped by, just small talk at first, but eventually
we exchanged numbers and started hanging out. It quickly turned
into a physical relationship, nothing too serious, just a few
weeks of late night texts and casual meetups. One night,

(57:42):
she invited me to go out with her to this
little bar on the north side of the city. It
wasn't anything fancy, kind of diebar, honestly, but she said
it was her favorite spot. I figured why not, so
we went. The place was packed with people she knew.
We danced a bit, had a few drinks, and she
induced me to a couple of people. Everything was going fine, fun,

(58:03):
even until this guy walks up to me with a
huge smile and says, it's great to finally meet you.
Congratulations on engagement. I almost choked on my drink. I
looked at him and laughed, kind of confused and asked, wait,
what are you talking about. He looked just as confused
and replied, you're here with Corey, right, you're Paul. That's
when I blinked and said, uh no, I'm Kyle. We

(58:26):
both stood there for a moment, just staring at each
other as it sank in. That's when I realized something
wasn't right. The room suddenly felt different. People around us
started glancing over. It was like you could feel the
energy shift. Corey was engaged to a guy named Paul,
and apparently I wasn't the only one who didn't know.
I was the other guy in this whole situation. To

(58:48):
make it even worse, this wasn't just any bar. This
was her spot, a place where she clearly had regulars
and people who knew her and knew she was supposed
to be with someone else. I left not long after.
We didn't argue, we didn't talk much, just left and
that was it. I never saw her again. I wasn't mad.
I was just shocked that she brought me into a

(59:08):
place where a whole double life could so easily come
crashing down. Maybe she didn't think it through, Maybe she
just didn't care. A few months later, I looked her
up on Facebook out of curiosity. She and Paul got
married Story fifty five. A few months after our son
was born. My wife told me she was going to
small get together at a neighbor's house, nothing major, just

(59:30):
a little break for her while I stayed home with
a baby so she could relax for a few hours.
Later that night, I got a call from one of
my friends who was also at the party. He sounded panicked.
He said my wife was found unconscious in the bathroom
and wasn't responding. He thought she had taken something, possibly
too much of it. I didn't wait for an ambulance.
I grabbed my keys, rushed over, carried her a car,

(59:54):
and drove as fast as I ever have. The hospital
was about fifteen miles away, and I made it there
an eight month minutes. I'm still not sure how. When
we arrived, the emergency staff rushed her inside. They were
able to bring her back. She was alive, but not okay.
She was admitted to the hospital and later transferred for
mental health care. I drove back home to grab some

(01:00:14):
of her things to bring to the hospital. Her phone
was still on the couch. It lit up with a
new message. I wasn't looking to snoop. I was scared.
I wanted to understand what pushed her to that point,
so I unlocked it and there it was messages from
her ex, the one she had reconnected with during a
recent trip to visit her mother. I just stood there
reading them. I felt sick. It didn't make what happened

(01:00:36):
earlier any less scary, but now it felt like a
different kind of pain was layered on top of it.
She was hurting. I get that, but so was I.
And now I had a baby take care of and
a relationship that suddenly didn't feel as solid as I
thought it was.
