is October thirty. First, I'm Brian York. As always, you
can get in touch with us on the show, on
our social media pages or by phone number at two
seven oh five three four forty three oh eight. That's
two seven oh five three four forty three oh eight.
And I hope you are having a fantastic Friday. What
a Friday? What I mean, it's Halloween?
Speaker 1 (00:37):
Howky? I love Halloween? You know me.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
I hate fall, hate Fall. I love Halloween. It is
It is my second favorite holiday. You okay, Look it's
tied with Fourth of July. I love fourth of July.
I love the fireworks and the hanging out with family
and the barbecueing and going to Calvert Citi's ameribration like
on the small Town Run into everybody, you know, I
(01:01):
love that. But I really love Halloween. It really is
right up there for me. I'm dressed as a cowboy today.
By the way, you can't see me. If you follow
me on Facebook you might see a photo later. My
little girl is going to be a cowgirl today. We
didn't plan to match. I'm going to surprise her by
being a cowboy. But I am dressed as a cowboy.
In fact, I'm dressed as cowboy Steve. And if you know,
(01:21):
you know. But I am dressed up because I do
love Halloween and I do love this day. And I'm excited.
I'm happy. And I can't remember ever ever there being
football Friday on Halloween.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Ever, I don't.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
I just this is my fifth year to do Gravees
County football and we've never had one obviously in five
years that fell on Halloween, the actual Halloween day. So
I was talking to some coaches and they honestly can't
remember playing on Halloween. So just a fun, cool way
to end the season by going to playing some football
on Halloween.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
I really hope.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
I'm going to be disappointed if I get to the
game tonight and people aren't dressed up, like they're better
be kind. I'm talking like adults too, Like, come on,
let's all get in the spirit. Let's all have fun
on a weird football Friday and enjoy some Halloween football.
So I'm excited. I'm in my mood. I'm in my element,
had my coffee. I'm rolling on this Friday, and again
(02:17):
hopefully you are too. Now we do have some things
to get to We got to put a rap on volleyball.
Volleyball did wrap up on Wednesday night with the regional
tournament championship and shocker, McCracken County is the winner. I know,
you just can't believe it. It's hard to fathom, can't
wrap your head around it. But McCracken County defeated my
(02:37):
Graves County Lady Eagles three sets to none. They beat
them twenty five eighteen, twenty five eleven, and twenty five nineteen.
Pretty good scores, though if you're Graves County, the second
set you'd like to have back, but you're at least
competitive in those other two sets. But Graves County will
finish runner up McCracken County as they do every single year.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
They are your Region one MPs.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
They are moving on to the State Volleyball Tournament, which
by the way, is Monday, so they got to get
ready and prepped and they will play Bowling Green on Monday.
Now Bowling Green, if you look at them, they are
thirty seven and three on the season, they did play
McCracken in the regular season and they lost two sets
(03:20):
to none. It was close, it was competitive. It was
back on September twenty seventh, in fact, they played over
at Owensboro at the Sports Center and it was twenty five,
twenty three, twenty five, twenty two and two sets as
McCracken County beat Bowling Green, one of Bowling Green's three
losses on the year. And these two mega powers are
(03:41):
gonna collide on Monday in the first round of the
state tournament. That's insane. That's insane. Bowling Green obviously a
state favorite. You gotta put McCracken County up there as
well since they beat them. But they will go head
to head on Monday, and by the way, they go
head to head at bowld so it is. It'll be tough,
(04:04):
but McCracken County has done it already this season, so
we shall see. McCracken County, by the way, will enter
that match up thirty one and seven on the season.
That's gonna be fun. We'll keep you updated. We'll keep
you updated here on Region one. But volleyball is in
the books. It is done. Their season officially in the
region is now over. So the only fall sport we
(04:24):
have left obviously again McCracken will play on Monday and volleyball,
but the only fall sport we have left in our
coverage is football, and we are entering week well, Week eleven.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
I gotta get it straight.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Week eleven of the football season, the tenth and final
regular season game for all of our teams happening tonight.
Playoffs start next week for some. Some have not made
the playoffs, some have decided they don't want to play
in the playoffs. But we start the playoffs next week. Incredible, insane.
I mean, it's it just is. And I was having
(04:56):
this conversation. My daughter brought this up like three or
four days ago. She said, okay, Dad, so Christmas, when
we get we get through Halloween, Christmas is like sixty
days away. And I was like, yeah, yeah, Christmas will
be a little less than sixty days, but you're on
the right path. And she goes, but I don't know
why everybody's so excited and going ahead and getting Christmas
decorations up. We haven't had Halloween yet. And I was like, well, yeah,
(05:18):
that's that's how I feel as an adult. And she
her reason though, is different. Her reason was she didn't
want to rush through Halloween because we get candy at Halloween.
Why are we trying to rush through that. Let's enjoy it.
Let's go trick or t let's get it. Let's get
bucket loads of candy on Halloween. Why are we trying
to get to Christmas? Yes, a little different reason than
mine for exciting getting excited for Christmas, But the whole
(05:40):
point being this time of year, it all goes so quick.
I mean we're at Halloween now, the final week of
the regular season for football, We've got playoffs next week.
We're gonna start talking basketball next week and start working
towards our preseason coverage next week, which is insane. November
is here, Thanks Given, will be here, but before you
know it will be opening presents. We'll be crowning a
(06:03):
regional basketball champ, will be in baseball and softball, and
it all be over again. I mean, just goes by
so quick, so busy we hit this time of the year.
But nonetheless, football season is coming to a close tonight.
Now the Marquee games for me, games of the that
are the most intriguing tonight. I think you start with
Graves and McCracken. You start with McCracken, who's been incredible
(06:24):
on offense half the season, the second half of the season,
especially Graves County who's been one of the best defenses
in the region most of the year. They played tonight,
always the fun rivalry. It's been a minute since McCracken's
score to win in that one. Graves has not had
the year to this point they've wanted, but the last
few weeks have started to trend that way. So that
(06:45):
just from a rivalry bragging rights kind of a you
want to play well to close out the regular season
going into the postseason kind of matchup is happening tonight.
Then I think you look at Callaway and Marshall County
an opportunity to be have a winning season. They would
secure a winning season if they can get a win
tonight over a Marshall County team that has been fighting
(07:08):
like crazy for the last decade and a half to get.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
Back to a winning season.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Now Marshall doesn't have a shot at that tonight, but
they do have a chance to get their fourth win
of the season, which would be the first time I
believe since twenty seventeen. So it'd be the first time
they've gotten over the three win mark in a long time.
And you gotta walk before you crawl, right, or you
gotta crawl before you walk. Yeah, Callaway's sprinting. Calloway didn't crawl.
(07:37):
They didn't walk their sprint. They went from not being
able to stand up with a winless season last year,
and you know you got to go back half a
year before that before you get to their last win
to now on the verge of six wins. They went
from you know, down and out to full on sprint.
So I think that's interesting. I think that storyline is interesting.
(07:59):
Two programs that have been kind of down and out
for a long time and more often than not playing
tonight with Callaway the chance to get a lot of
bragging rights. And if you're Marshall County, it's a pride game.
You're not in the playoffs. This is it for you, you know,
I know it doesn't seem like much. Listen to me
as an alum, as a resident, as somebody whose kids
(08:19):
go to the school Marshall, I know it doesn't seem
like you're playing for a lot that you know, this
is it. You know, the seniors are probably gonna want
to go out and have a good game.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
But everybody else might be checked out because you're not
you're not in the playoffs. I get it that that
might be the tendency, that might be the mindset. It's
it's vital for you to go fight for that fourth win.
This program is never going to get on track if
you can't find a way to win four or five
games a season, like a season. You get to that
(08:49):
four or five wins per season mark, then you obviously
have your opportunity to get over that mark and have
a winning season. And it's been too long. As I
said as an alum, it's been too long. This was
a program that was pretty good. Obviously, it was good
in the Shelton era, but it was good before that,
and it can be good again. The resources are there,
the school size is there, the facilities are there. I
(09:13):
think I don't don't undersell what winning a fourth game
in the season could do for you. Don't undersell what
that feeling would be like going into the offseason beating
Callowi County, stopping them from having a winning season, and
knowing that you were yourself just a couple of wins off. Honestly,
you should have won the Cadwell County game. I mean
(09:34):
you could be going into tonight trying to get your
at least fifth win, which would be amazing. That hasn't
happened since twenty fifteen. Don't under sell four wins. Get
a lot on the line tonight, even though this is
gonna wrap up your season. All right, let's take a break,
we'll come back. We'll break them all down right here.
This is Region one.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
Sometimes happens, someone has to deal with it.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
And who are you.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Gonna call Onion five, that creepy kick, Misterius and school Geek.
They're all together, Keith, the Ahead family, Johns Barrence. Moving
along here on your Friday edition of the show. Again.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
You can get in touch with us on the text
line at two seven oh five three four forty three
eight two seven o five three four forty three oh eight.
As we roll along on this Friday Football Friday edition
of the show, I was giving you sort of the why.
I think the two marquee games tonight are Graves McCracken
and Callaway and Marshall. Let's break those down and make
(10:40):
our picks. Let's start with Marshall and Callaway. Canz I'm
on their page. I don't have to do anything. I
can just stay right here. So let's start with Marshall
and Callowe again. Marshall County three wins on the season
coming into tonight, three and uh what does that make them?
Speaker 1 (10:54):
Three and six?
Speaker 3 (10:55):
Do three?
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Four?
Speaker 3 (10:56):
Is it? Yep?
Speaker 1 (10:57):
Three and six? I don't do math. Well, I told
you I went to more. I'm joking. I'm joking.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
But they're three and six on the year and coach
Bloodworth's second season. They were a three win team last season. Again,
do not undersell the importance of that fourth win. They
come into tonight throwing the football as a team at
ninety nine yards per game, eight touchdowns, seven picks. They
run the football at won sixty nine a game with
seventeen rushing touchdowns, ground and pound. Keep Callaway's offense on
(11:24):
the sideline. Move that football, run that football. I think
you're gonna have a chance tonight for Calloway County. You
look at them, their offense much improved. Again, strength of
schedules are a little different, I get it. Classes are
obviously different.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
But Callaway County won sixty two in the air with
seventeen touchdowns, ten picks. They run the football one eighty
nine on the ground with twenty five rushing touchdowns. It
will be interesting to see Logan Smith, who has thirteen
hundred and fifty seven yards and eighteen touchdowns. It'll be
interesting to see if he can move the football between
the tackles tonight. Because if Callaway can run the football
(11:59):
between the tackles against a stout, big, physical Marshall County
line and linebacker corps, Callway.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
County is gonna win this game.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
Let me just simply put, because if they can do that,
then they'll still be able to do what they want
to the outside with their skill guys. And you know,
it's not like they're they're amazing, but they're good. You know,
It's they're not at that Owensborough level or Apollo level,
but this is still a good skills team. Obviously, they
passed the football one sixty two a game. But if
they run between the tackles and you've got to defend that,
(12:27):
it's gonna be tough for Marshall tonight.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
This one's tough for me. I've gone back and forth.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
There's a part of me that says Marshall County is
gonna go there, they've played a better schedule. They you know,
they've they've been an improved football team. This is a
chance to prove me and others correct.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
You know.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
I had this conversation with somebody the other day. They said,
I'm kind of getting tired of every summer being sold.
How Marshall might turn the corner and they're gonna be
the and then they wind up being a three win
team again, and we're right back in the same spot.
He's that I just can't. I can't be a believer anymore.
I'm still a believer. The problem is you're playing at
Calloway County. The problem is Calloway County. Even though even
(13:07):
though more importantly to Calloway, they play in the playoffs
next week and they face Elizabethtown. Anytown's good, that's an
uphill battle if I'm Calloway. Look, I'm not taking that lightly.
I'm playing every game to win. I'm day by day,
game by game, week by week. Right, I'm going into
Etown with a belief I'm gonna go win a playoff game.
I want to be healthy, ready to go for it.
(13:29):
But you're you're probably not in line to win a
state title. Go get that six win tonight. That's my point.
Don't pull back the rains tonight because you're playing next week,
because you could goof around and then have a losing season. Again,
go get that winning season because in the history books,
when when all things are said and done and we're
talking about the rebuild at Calloway County and we're talking
(13:49):
about what coach Lewis has done in year three and
year four, it's gonna matter more that he had a
winning season in year one.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
It just is.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
So if I'm Calloway, I'm all in to night. Marshall
has to be all in tonight. I think this is
gonna be a clash.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
Again. I'm still a believer in Marshall.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
But Callaway has been good and this is a chance
to get a winning season and they're playing at Callaway.
So for those reasons, I'm picking Callaway. But again, I
have gone back and forth all week long on this one.
I flipped coins. Even they landed straight up in the air.
They didn't want to decide either. It's gonna be. This
(14:25):
is gonna be one to watch tonight, that's my point.
But I am I will pick the Lakers because it's
a home game, neutral Fielder at Marshall. I feel a
little bit better about Marshall at Callaway. We'll see, I
think I think that gives them the edge. Okay, so
that's one of the games. The other game of note
of interest. The other game I think is a big
one tonight Graves in McCracken County. Again, things have not
(14:49):
gone well overall for the season for Graves. Their schedule
is as good, if not as, if not better than
anybody in the state. I mean, they played Mayfield and
Tillman and Murray, all top two teams in their class
right out of the gate. Union County not having a
typical Union County year. Still good Owensborough may be the
best team in the state. Madisonville or Hopkins Beat is
(15:11):
the only team that beat Tillman this year. Apollo is
gonna finish second in the district and they whoop Madisonville.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
This is a heck of a schedule.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
It's a heck of a district and Graves has had
their struggles even in games they should have won. They
had Madisonville beat couldn't complete it. They had Apollo beat,
couldn't complete it. You flipped those two games. This is
a what one two three four. This is a five
win team playing for a six win to night and
that's considered a bad year for Graves County. So they've
been in it, they've had their chance. This is still,
(15:42):
and that's my point, a very good football team. But
they have improved dramatically over the last two weeks. Yes,
you got Marshall County and Muelenberg County, and you got
them at the right time. You also got better. You're
passing the Eyeball test. You clearly have gotten better. Last
week their best week of offense overall. Now you're playing
(16:02):
one of the best offenses you've seen all season as well,
maybe the best, I mean outside of Owensboro, maybe outside
of Tillman, maybe the best overall offense you've played.
Speaker 3 (16:11):
Now.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
I know, Mayfield beat them thirty nine to three, and
they looked horrible on offense in that game for a
variety of reasons. But their offense has come alive and
they have been absolutely whooping, well not really whooping, but
they have been putting it to some teams on offense.
This is a high scoring team, that's my point. Graves
defense has been really good. They have not allowed more
than twenty three points since they faced Owensborough in September.
(16:35):
They gave up twenty three to Madisonville, fourteen to Apollo,
who again scored forty plus on Madisonville held Marshall to
twelve and shut out Mielnberg County, who's been That was
the I think only the second time they've been shut
out this year. Then the first time was to Owensboro.
You look at what Graves County has done. We'll talk
mccrack at in a moment, but Graves County on the season,
throwing the football out one oh five per game, six touchdowns,
(16:57):
eight picks, run of the football a ninety four yard
per game with thirteen rushing touchdowns. But again their best
games one hundred plus yards on the ground last week,
what nearly two hundred on the in the air last week,
but very efficient. This offense has just gotten better and
better in the last few weeks. A lot of that too,
has been Ty Cavot. He's really coming to his own
as a receiver the last few weeks. Then you compare
(17:21):
that to McCracken County, and oh boy, you look at
their offense in numbers and it's it's video game level.
It's different level. Mccrack had a chance to get their
sixth win of the season to night, so they got
a lot on the line as well. Throwing the football
at two thirty per game, thirty touchdown six picks as
a team, running the football at won seventy six per
game with twenty three rushing touchdowns. They've got two good receivers.
(17:46):
Matcham has been the big one. He has sixteen receiving
touchdowns of their thirty, so over half their touchdowns go
to him. They run the football well, they passed the
football well. This is a game tonight for me personally,
keys to the game. If your Graves County, you want
to move the football methodically on offense because I think
(18:08):
you can move it against McCracken's defense. You want to
move the football and keep McCracken's offense on the sideline
because they will move the football and they're going to score.
I don't You're not pitching a shutout tonight. You might
play good defense against them, and that you might be
the best defense they've seen in a while, but you're
not going to one hundred percent pitch that shutout. So
it's it's gonna benefit you the most to keep them
(18:31):
on the sideline. And score the football as much as
you can as well, because McCracken, they're just interested in
outscoring you. You gotta find ways to do that. Field position,
you know, football possession, those things are going to really
really matter tonight. And if those things favorite Graves County,
they get to win. It's at Graves, it's on grass.
Mccrackens used to play on turf. I would venture to
(18:53):
say McCracken didn't practice outside this week. Graves did all
week long, and the wet and the weather, so we'll see.
But since again it's Graves, of course, I give Graves
count of the edge. I'm picking the Eagles obviously, But
this one, this one's gonna be fun tonight. This one's
gonna be a lot of fun tonight. So you got
Calwi Marshall, you got Graves, McCracken.
Speaker 1 (19:12):
There's more.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
Now we're gonna take a break and we'll come back.
We'll talk about it back on the other side. This
is Region one Sports.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
Your schools, Your Report, the Region one Sports Report.
Speaker 3 (19:23):
Spooky Scary scale, liftons and shimvers down your spine, shrieking skulls,
well shocked your soul, see your doom to night. Spooky
skill Scale, Liftons Speak.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
Ridge on Sports our final segment here on your Friday
edition of the show. We've saw Graves and McCracken. I
will go with my Eagles as always. We talked to
Callaway and Marshall. I'm picking Callaway, but my goodness is
that one a tough one for me tonight. And now
we move on. We've got other games that are being
played tonight. How about Murray and Cadwall County. Once upon
a time this was as good as it gets. H
These two teams were classmates, in the same class, in
(20:02):
the same district and they had a pretty good rivalry going.
They resume tonight, the Tigers taking on the Tigers. This
is at Murray, which always gives Murray the edge because
it's a tough place to play if you're on the
road or the visiting team. Murray comes in a chance
to go unbeaten in the regular season, and they will.
I'll just spoil that for you.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
They will.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
But they come in and they will take on Cardwell
County with a nine and zero record. Codwall County has
not been a slouch this season. They are six and
three coming into this one.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
Now.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
They did beat Marshall County close right. They did lose
to Mayfield fifty two to nothing, and they did. You know,
they've had good wins this season. They did lose to
Union County. If you're looking for a common opponent, they
lost to Union County. What forty I gotta find it
to get forty six to twenty two. Murray beat Union
County forty four to seven. I think that kind of
(20:55):
tells you where these two programs are at. Caldwell County
has bounced back. They've been much better this then in
the past, but they're just not quite where Murray is
this season. Looking at the Tigers offensively and looking at
what they do, and I should rephrase that, looking at
Murray offensively, they are two hundred and forty seven passing
(21:16):
yards per game, twenty six touchdowns, three picks on the season.
They throw run the football as a team at one
hundred and ninety six yards per game with thirty one
rushing touchdowns. Yeah, they're tough to stop. That's the point.
Two forty seven in the air game, one ninety six
on the ground, twenty six passing touchdowns, thirty one rushing touchdowns. Yeah,
(21:38):
pick your poison and Cardwall County that's the problem. They're
gonna have a hard time tonight. Forget stopping Murray. They're
not gonna stop Murray. They're gonna have a hard time
to night slowing Murray down. You look at Caddawall County
this season, Coach mclung has done just a fantastic job
over there redirecting the Tiger program.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
They have really bounced back.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
They have a winning season, a chance to capitalize on that.
They throw the football at one hundred and twenty seven
yards per game, thirteen touchdowns, eight picks. They do run
the football well at one fifty per game with twenty
three rushing touchdowns. But again, nothing jumps off the page
enough to suggest to me that they have a chance
to not only pull the upset, but to go on
the road and pull the upset.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
Just don't see it happening tonight.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
Once upon a time, like I said, these two teams
had some really good battles. In fact, you go back
to two thousand and two, Caldwell County beat Murray that
year twenty three twenty, that game going to overtime was
that one of the overtime I can't remember. You go
back before that, the year before that, Murray got a
win in the playoffs. The year before that same season,
(22:42):
Cardwell County beat Murray twenty to fourteen. They went back
and forth that year. In twenty twenty one, Cadwell won
of the regular season, then Murray won more handily in
the playoffs. So you got that. I mean, this is
a series that's gone back and forth. These are two
teams that have been very close in the past. In
twenty twenty, Murray won that game thirty five to twenty
eight in the playoffs, and actually that was the overtime
(23:04):
game before that.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
So in twenty twenty, all right, here we go. I
got my thoughts about me.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
In twenty twenty, Murray won that game in overtime and
the regular season forty one to thirty four. Then they
beat them in the playoffs by one score at thirty
five to twenty eight. The next season, Cardwell County got
a regular season victory twenty to fourteen, and then Murray
won the playoffs twenty seven to thirteen. Then the next season,
Cardwell County won twenty three to twenty in the regular season.
(23:29):
The only time they met. Murray has won the last
two and last season. You know, Murray was good Caldwell
County was not bad. It was a thirty five to
eighteen game. Now, even though Cardawall County's better, the problem is,
so is Murray. And I think they're gonna win. Put
some final touches on some things tonight and take care
of business at home before they start their playoff push
(23:50):
next week.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
Murray's gonna win this one. Will it be big? It's
got a chance.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
But you know, Caldwell County, if they can find a
way to slow or stall that Murray offense and stay
in it, that's kind of the victory they're looking for tonight.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
But Murray wins this one, all right? Moving on?
Speaker 2 (24:06):
Who else? So we got I'm just totally blanking here.
Let's go to Mayfield Mayfield tonight, and I know somebody's
screaming their opponent at mean Central, which I think we
talked to wednesday.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
I didn't know Central was even a school.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
I mean, it's just one of those teams that you
don't think about, know anything about, or pay attention to, to
be honest with you. So you've got Central take it
on Mayfield and not the Yellow Jackets of Central. They
are out of District three. They are a four win
team on the season. But you look at their numbers
and they got to come to Mayfield. This is not good.
Seventy two yards passing per game, one eighteen on the ground,
(24:42):
four passing touchdowns, seventeen rushing touchdowns. Murray's gonna win win big.
Another running clock game tonight. I'll just go ahead and
tell you that it's just another running clock game for Mayfield.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
Two hundred and one yards.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
Passing for the Cardinals in the air on the season,
one fourteen on the ground, twenty six passing touchdowns, twenty
six rushing touchdowns.
Speaker 1 (25:03):
Mayfield wins this one going away tonight, Like this is the.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
It ain't gonna be like Fort Campbell where they play
eight minute or six minute quarters or whatever the heck
they did there to speed that game up. But they're
gonna win big tonight. So that's Mayfield. Who else we got.
Let's see, Fulton County's off, so that kind of takes
care of that. So I guess that leaves us with
Paduka Tilman and Ballard. I'll get to Ballot at a moment,
but Paduca Tilman, they take on Christian County tonight, They're
(25:30):
gonna win big. Christian County is not interested in playing
football anymore. Consolidation coming and coaching turnover and bad leadership
in the county and at the school level. Over the
last few years, that program went from stellar to seller.
I mean it's been it's been bad, and you just
talk that up to bad leadership. But on the season,
the Christian County Colonels do have one win. They're one
(25:53):
in eight. They throw the football at won sixty five
per game, eleven touchdowns, twenty interceptions. They run the football
at ninety nine nine yards per game with non rushing touchdowns.
Paduka Tilman is Paduka Tilman coach Thompson's team. They will
come into this one averaging two eighty five in the air,
thirty one touchdowns, eleven picks, one hundred and forty five
on the ground with twenty rushing touchdowns. Tillman wins big
(26:18):
Tonight Bigley is Paduka Tilman and then I guess, last
but not least for the last time this season, Ballard
Memorial will take the football field. They have opted out
of the playoffs. We talked about that on Wednesday, but
they take on Muhlenberg County. In the past, you would say,
I don't know, I'm not necessarily just given this to Muhlenberg.
(26:38):
I mean last season this was a forty two to
thirty four Muhlenberg County win. The problem is Milinberg County's
better Ballard was not Ballard will end up going winless
this season. Unfortunately, Mielnberg County is good. I get it.
And this is at Muhlenberg County. So the Bombers have
got to travel to Paradise. They've got to go down
by the Green River and play this football game. And
(26:58):
that's just just I don't know. That's tough, long road
trip against the team that's better this season than even
last season. And it's been a long season for the Bombers,
which will end tonight. Unfortunately, Miehlenberg County. The Mustangs will
get the win. So there you have it again. I'm
picking Graves over McCracken County, Sue me. I know McCracken's
(27:20):
the favorite in that one.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (27:21):
You know, I'd pick Graves to beat the Cowboys, and
actually I might actually be right this year. Then I've
got Calloway County over Marshall again, though, flip a coin,
I think that one has a chance to be back
and forth I think that one has a chance for
Marshall to prove me wrong. But I'll take Calloway County.
I've got Murray over Cadwell. I've got Mayfield over I
can't eve remember it Central. I've got Tilman over Christian County.
(27:45):
I've got Mielenberg County winning tonight over Ballard. All right,
that's it. Do me a favor. You go out tonight,
hopefully you go to a football game. But when you win,
you and wherever you go tonight trick or treating football. Hey, listen,
I know it, Graves. I don't know where else they're
doing this. They're tailgating, they're their trunk retreating tonight. You
can trick or treat during the tailgating. So you can
(28:08):
come do that. You can go out and then come
to the game. But whatever you do and wherever you go,
be safe, be smart, have fun, enjoy yourself, don't get
too scared, don't get don't get in trouble in the streets,
in the in the mean streets of those neighborhoods, trick
or treating and just have fun and not enjoy. Think
the weather's gonna be nice, or at least it's good
it's gonna be Halloween, weather Man, It's gonna be great.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
If you go to a football game, dress up, dress up.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
I'm thinking about it. I'm tempted to got my cowboy
outfit and we'll see. But dress up, have fun, enjoy yourselves,
and we'll talk about everything again on Monday.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
Until then, hope you've enjoyed. This has been reaching one
