Excuse me, we do have a returning guest.
Speaker 5 (02:14):
It's been a hot minute, but we have April Richardson
of raven Rose Paranormal joining us tonight. So welcome back
to the show.
Speaker 6 (02:25):
Yeah, yes, absolutely.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
Now for some of our new listeners, can you kind
of give them a recap on how you got interested
in the paranormal.
Speaker 6 (02:37):
Yours maybe a little bit different than some of the.
Speaker 4 (02:40):
Norm Hang oops, hang on a second, your sound just
went out.
Speaker 6 (02:52):
What the hell? Try it again?
Speaker 3 (02:55):
Crap? Can you hear me?
Speaker 4 (02:56):
Now?
Speaker 6 (02:56):
Yeah, you got it.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
I grew up living over a funeral home.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
My father is actually a fourth a generation funeral director,
so I've always kind of been around this growing up.
I didn't really know what it was that I was experiencing,
but every once in a while I would feel like, oh.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
I'm not alone in this room, and I'm an only child.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
So if I was playing down in the visitating room
and there wasn't anything going on, or if I was
practicing acrobat routines or whatever, every once in a while,
I'd feel like, there is I don't like it. I
need to go sit in the corner. I didn't want
to be out in the middle of the room anymore. Right,
(03:44):
And there were two spots in that house, and the
house was built, Oh gosh, I'm like the eighteen ninety
three or something like that, So it's old house. Yeah,
that I did not like being in.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
I just did not like it at all.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
One of them was like in the old basement, you
know those old limestone basements, like ever since I couldn't remember. Nope, no,
thank you, don't like it. And the other one, come
to find out later in life, is where my grandfather
used to spend a lot of his time with his cronies,
like talking, drinking coffee whatever. Now looking back on and
(04:23):
I'm like, maybe that was Grandpa, right, you know. Right forward,
we were down in San Diego and taking a tour,
like the old Town trolley tour, and we came to
(04:45):
Bailey House and I forced my parents, who were with me,
to go through the Wailey House.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
That was fun.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
You both pieced out rather quickly. But back at the whole,
tell my dad goes, how did you get into this?
I'm like, well, really, it's all your fault, thanks dad. Yeah, yeah,
so that's how I started.
Speaker 5 (05:15):
So how long have you been investigating the paranormal?
Speaker 3 (05:20):
Oh? Man, no, ever since COVID, I can't tell time anymore.
Speaker 7 (05:25):
Yeah, five years, I would say, somewhere around there.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
Probably we'll go with five. We'll just say it's fine.
Speaker 6 (05:40):
Sounds good to me.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
Now you do.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
I mean, you've been to quite a few different locations
and things like that, but you have one that is.
Speaker 6 (05:54):
In Cedar Falls.
Speaker 5 (05:56):
That's, you know a lot of people may not know about.
Speaker 6 (05:58):
That's kind of opening their doors a little bit.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
Do you kind of want to tell us about this
location a little bit?
Speaker 3 (06:05):
Sure, I'd love to.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
So the location is the house that houses the Cedar
Falls Women's Club. The house itself, it's close to downtown
Cedar Falls. So if anyone who's listening has ever been there,
it's kitty corner from Overman Park. It was built in
eighteen sixty eight, which, when you figure that the town
(06:30):
of Cedar Falls was really settled in eighteen fifty three,
that's that's not a that's not a whole lot of
time to go from a settlement to building.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
A Victorian mansion, right.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
But it was brought to me as an idea in
early well not early twenty twenty, but March of twenty twenty,
when everything's cutting down and.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
Someone said, oh, you should come and check that us out.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
And I said, okay, well why even though bored to
tears because there's nothing going on, Yeah, you should check
this house out.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
It's really really old, and I'm like, that's not always okay, okay, yeah, sure,
we knew that.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
I asked a couple friends if they wanted to come
with me, so this could be a giant waste of time,
but why not, let's just go check it out just
for the fun of it. And we just took a
couple pieces of equipment, went through zero expectations and it
wasn't until we got out the SOLS camera. We were
(07:46):
in the front parlor and there were two small figures
that showed up and we tried to talk to them, yeah,
and then they both dived behind the set tee like,
oh crap, they can see us.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
Mind blown from the spiritual.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
Standpoint, right, because no one had ever done anything trying
to contact anybody on the spiritual side that's been there.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
And that to me was like, well, okay, so you're right.
Place is haunted. I've been there handful of time since
I know quite a bit. Kim's birthday there, Yes we did.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
We had a birthday party and probably had the best
response a question and an ITZ device that I've ever.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
Been a part of.
Speaker 6 (08:44):
H Yeah, that was pretty awesome.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
I Mean, when somebody says, hey, it's Kim's birthday.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Can you wish her a happy birthday?
Speaker 2 (08:53):
And a little girl's voice comes out plain as day,
happy birthday.
Speaker 8 (08:58):
Yeah, And I almost fell off about.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
Jah collected the floor. We all took a breath and
then all of the f box started. So that was
that was pretty cool.
Speaker 5 (09:15):
And I mean we think that we've come in contact with.
Speaker 8 (09:18):
A little girl there, yeah, a couple of times.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
And even in that that's the flower room flower and that.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
When I was in there, there there is.
Speaker 8 (09:31):
We just have a got pinpointed down what it is.
Speaker 6 (09:34):
Yeah, exactly right.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
And so many people ask me, well, who's here? Who's here?
Speaker 2 (09:39):
And like, I can't tell you. I don't have no
one has come out and said how my name is?
Speaker 3 (09:45):
No, no, So I can't give a name.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
I can give you speculation, but I you know again
that's pure speculation, right m hm.
Speaker 9 (09:54):
Just got to investigate a little bit more there.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
Yeah, so we got to get back there because it's
been oh year and a half, I did to say
so I.
Speaker 5 (10:06):
Would say, so oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
So yeah, thankfully you know, the club. The club members
went from we don't really want anything to do with
anything paranormal to you can have the place. Whenever you
want here, we're going to start sending you the event calendars.
Just call us when when you're interested.
Speaker 8 (10:28):
Okay, well they figured it.
Speaker 10 (10:30):
It helps them out keeping the place preserved and things
like that, because you're bringing in money.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
To help keep that place the way it is, honestly,
keeping up the maintenance and everything, and keeping the electricity going.
You know, what's a lot of places some of them
don't even have electricity.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
Oh right, so yeah, yeah, being in a place that
has air conditioning and heat, Oh my goodness, it.
Speaker 6 (10:55):
Makes a difference.
Speaker 3 (10:56):
It's a huge difference.
Speaker 8 (10:59):
That's a luck.
Speaker 6 (11:00):
Sure, we it is.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
It is. I don't care where you are or how
long you've been investigating. He ac are total luxuries.
Speaker 6 (11:12):
Excuse me, oh.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
My allergy thing.
Speaker 5 (11:18):
It's fine, it's terrible, terrible.
Speaker 6 (11:21):
Anyways.
Speaker 10 (11:22):
Yeah, the few times that we've been there, we've we've
actually gotten you know.
Speaker 6 (11:25):
Quite a bit of interesting things.
Speaker 3 (11:27):
You know.
Speaker 4 (11:27):
Kim had her her little puzzles, the pictures, ones and
things that she was able to get interaction with.
Speaker 8 (11:37):
We got interaction with the flip cards.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
Yes. Oh, and then do you want to explain the
oh was it it was a walkies?
Speaker 2 (11:50):
Yeah, the kids just laughing at the background.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
Do you want to explain it? It's amazing.
Speaker 9 (11:58):
Well you couldn't explain.
Speaker 8 (12:01):
You explain it better than I do.
Speaker 6 (12:04):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (12:05):
So we were kind of, you know, taking a little break.
Speaker 6 (12:08):
We had set everything up in the attic.
Speaker 4 (12:11):
We had a walkie up there, we had a baby monitor,
and we had one of Kim's uh her night vision
cameras up there, security security cameras, so we had it
all upstairs. We were downstairs kind of sitting at the
table where we had the monitor to watch up there
and just see if we see anything going on while
(12:32):
we're all kind of down in the little auditorym area, right,
is that where we were at?
Speaker 2 (12:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 11 (12:38):
Yeah, And so we're all kind of sitting there and
then all of a sudden, we hear these noises coming
through the baby monitor up there, and it's coming through
the like it's.
Speaker 10 (12:50):
It's through the baby monitor, through the walking it's only
coming through one walkie. And then it sounds like the
monitor up there is shutting off and you can see
the light on our end and turning off. And then
we're like, what how did that turn off? And we're like,
can you turn it back on? And you can hear
it click back on and you see the light come
back on. But then it started talking and it was
(13:15):
Kim's voice, and Kim was standing with us, not saying anything,
and it's coming through only one walkie and we had
a couple of them sitting down.
Speaker 9 (13:26):
There next to I have floor walkie talkies and three
of them were sitting there on the table.
Speaker 4 (13:31):
Yeah, and the other one was up in the attic,
and so it was coming through all that and Kim
wasn't saying anything.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
I was just saying two floors or two floors.
Speaker 5 (13:44):
Two floors in between us, and there was literally interaction
coming from from the baby monitor and the walkie up
there down to us.
Speaker 6 (13:52):
It was It was insane.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
And you know, we everyone was accounted for.
Speaker 5 (13:56):
There was Yeah, everybody was standing there because they're like,
what's going on?
Speaker 3 (13:59):
What is like?
Speaker 8 (14:02):
I'm a bread curly quitch.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
Maybe I guess.
Speaker 5 (14:07):
Somebody was definitely mimicking you.
Speaker 8 (14:09):
Oh definitely, I've heard it too.
Speaker 12 (14:11):
M hm.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
You know, I think walkies, you know, sometimes you can't
get interferences from other places, but sometimes I think they
can actually.
Speaker 6 (14:21):
Communicate with you through a.
Speaker 11 (14:23):
Freaking walkie, as we have seen on other numerous investigations
in different locations.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
Absolutely, wasn't it Edinburgh?
Speaker 5 (14:33):
Edinburgh is insane with that.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
We've gotten a little boy on there.
Speaker 6 (14:37):
I don't know how many times.
Speaker 5 (14:38):
And then the time I think you were with us,
we had that guy said let me out of here.
Speaker 4 (14:43):
Yes, yes, came through one walkie, only one walkie, and
then we took it down to one of the rooms
and I specifically asked a question. And as I go back,
because there was times where it would click and you'd
hear a guy kind of spurt on there or whatever.
I didn't catch it at that time, but on my
(15:04):
recorder you can hear the walkie go off after I
ask a question and it responds to me with no.
I was like, what the heck? Like yeah, so, and
this last time you weren't able to go with us,
but we were getting stuff through the walkie again and
(15:27):
it was like the wind from outside, like we're like,
what is going on? And it was only coming through
one walkie. There was a time where you could hear
Kelly but nobody had pushed the walkie in there, but
you could hear her talking like somebody had pushed the
button in the room that they were in coming through
our walkie.
Speaker 9 (15:48):
They then they took one of the walkie talkies out
to the graveyard yeah and just said it and we
re we and then everybody came back. There was nobody
in the graveyard. Yeah, and we're getting stuff through that
walkie talkie.
Speaker 5 (16:02):
Yeah, And you could hear it was like somebody was
pushing the button and there was just total wind.
Speaker 6 (16:06):
I know some said that.
Speaker 4 (16:07):
It could be like that interference from the airport and
all that stuff, but it's like it was literally like
somebody was pushing it and you.
Speaker 5 (16:15):
Were just getting the wind because it was so windy out.
Speaker 9 (16:19):
And there was a couple of times it sounded like
a voice.
Speaker 5 (16:22):
Yeah yeah, and it was like so bizarre, that's crazy.
Speaker 4 (16:29):
So I think that's something I think we need to
like try to try out a little more often.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
Oh, I agree completely. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
In fact, I would totally set that whole thing up
again next time we're at.
Speaker 3 (16:41):
The women's club. Oh yeah, replicate.
Speaker 6 (16:46):
Oh yeah, for sure, to see if we could duplicate
it and see if anything happens or we get any
of the same.
Speaker 9 (16:53):
My equipment's ready where and w.
Speaker 8 (17:00):
They're ready all right?
Speaker 4 (17:01):
All right, So with the women's club, if anybody is interested,
they would have to contact you.
Speaker 6 (17:11):
Is that correct.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
Yes, So one of the stipulations is that I'm I've
dubbed myself the Paranormal Liaison. It's not an official title,
that's just what I call myself. They do request that
I am there for each investigation simply because I am
a known person with the house, and so they just
(17:36):
want somebody there that they know and trust, right, and
there will be a member of the clubhouse to be fair,
it's usually my aunt. But yeah, they would just need
to go ahead and reach out to me, and then
we would go ahead and partner with the Clubhouse to
(17:56):
find out when you know, if you have a couple
of dates in mind, see what's le go ahead and
get that on the calendar. The cost is three hundred
dollars for an investigation. They do require one hundred and
fifty dollars deposit to.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
Secate, just like a lot of places do.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
And they have voted that we can now stay until
two o'clock in the morning if things are good. Yeah,
before we had to be out at midnight, right, So
so you know, you know, I'm impressed they're really really
starting to embrace this.
Speaker 6 (18:29):
That's good. That's good. Yeah, because there's definitely something there.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
Oh gosh, they were happy.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
He last dinner, they had their kitchen replaced, like floors,
new stoves, I mean, everything top to bottom. He have
a plumber working in the basement who was doing something
apparently turned around, saw an apparition, scared him to death,
ran upstairs, found manager and said.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
Do you have something here? It goes wow.
Speaker 2 (19:03):
But they're friendly, you know, like Casper. The work got
done in record time, like.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
Any longer than I got a mean, I.
Speaker 6 (19:20):
Guess that's one way. Maybe we could get things done.
Speaker 4 (19:22):
A lot faster as if we tell them that our
houses are haunted and then maybe maybe any.
Speaker 8 (19:27):
Work, well some of them would probably just leave, yeah.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Some of them, right, but you know, hey, if you
leave the good tools, that's fine.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
Right.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
Yeah that was I was like, okay, well, you know, hey,
whatever works.
Speaker 6 (19:46):
Yeah, yeah, that would be hilarious. Honestly, I would love
to see that.
Speaker 4 (19:51):
You've seen it in movies, you know, but actually have
that happened in real life.
Speaker 3 (19:57):
I know would be kind of call.
Speaker 5 (19:59):
Yeah, I probably would just laugh, but that's just me.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
And now that yeah, now the house manager is saying
good morning and good evening every time she walks in
like hello, Spirits, good morning, how are you?
Speaker 3 (20:13):
And I'm like, I love that. That's fantastic.
Speaker 13 (20:16):
That's nice because then it makes them you know, there,
It makes them feel like you know that somebody knows
that they're that's there, you know what I mean, Like
they're not just.
Speaker 6 (20:27):
Disappeared into nothing.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
Ness, you know exactly, and there are people.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
They were people, right, that's sure exactly who they were,
why they're there, but they're.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
There, right, So just love me there, that's right, just
being light.
Speaker 5 (20:46):
Darren says, if we bring you chocolate, do we get
it for free?
Speaker 3 (20:51):
No?
Speaker 8 (20:51):
No?
Speaker 3 (20:52):
Nice? Let's try.
Speaker 4 (21:00):
Now, what was your very first good piece of like
data or evidence that you've collected from an investigation?
Speaker 3 (21:10):
Hello?
Speaker 2 (21:11):
Man, wow, okay, that's a good good question.
Speaker 3 (21:23):
I would say probably the very first like.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
Mind blowing, like, holy crap, this actually happened moment.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
Was that for our school? When I saw my first creeper?
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Oh yeah, I was sitting up where with what they
call the principal's office on the just looking down the
third floor hallway right, and there was a shadow crawling
on the floor, darker and dark, no real shape to it,
and went through my Okay, there's some light coming. No,
(22:00):
there's doors that are not moving because there's absolutely no
breeze because I'm sweating.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
To death, and you know, just kind of going through
those rationalizations of what could this possibly be?
Speaker 8 (22:10):
Yeah, and it wasn't me, it.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
Wasn't and then clicking out my flashlight and then nothing
there and kind of going.
Speaker 3 (22:24):
Okay, so that just happened. Talk about them, but never
seen one for myself, and then was like, oh my god,
that just happened.
Speaker 8 (22:35):
That was so cool.
Speaker 6 (22:37):
I saw something when we went to Ashmore. We were
all upstairs.
Speaker 4 (22:42):
And when Cynthia was doing her pendulum, I saw a
dark shadow like.
Speaker 6 (22:48):
Thing up on the ceiling.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (22:52):
And we were getting a bunch of weird stuff but
and and she was getting stuff on the pendulum about it.
Speaker 6 (22:59):
But that was that was weird.
Speaker 4 (23:01):
I don't think I've ever seen something quite like that,
and especially on the ceiling.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
Yeah, I haven't seen anything on the ceiling that that's
going to be something entirely new. But to see what
they would call, you know, a creeper, was was the
first kind of like holy crap type situation. Yeah, yeah,
you know, and everybody asked, oh, are you scared?
Speaker 3 (23:25):
Like no, I'm really curious and I want it to
happen again. Oh well, there's a noise down a long,
spooky hallway. Let me run towards it.
Speaker 6 (23:36):
Yay, yeah exactly. I don't know why we think.
Speaker 5 (23:43):
What is wrong with us to think that that's okay?
Speaker 3 (23:46):
No, like, oh, not a problem, let's go here.
Speaker 6 (23:49):
Yeah mm hmm exactly.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
The three of us, if you, me and Cynthia on
death row at Missouri State pen alves.
Speaker 6 (24:01):
Oh yeah, that was. That was something else.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
And we're just kind of like chilling out, hanging out
and all these shadow figures or you know, duck, and
we're just like, sup, how's it going? Blah blah blah,
like nothing, didn't we yet?
Speaker 6 (24:17):
It was some music too, yes.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
And then the train came around the corner and I
started singing fulls and prison blues.
Speaker 6 (24:25):
That's right, yep. Yeah, gosh, that was. That was a
very good night.
Speaker 5 (24:32):
Also. I think we had a lot out by the
old jail cells that they.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
Do the old jail films those like eighteen fifties or
something like that. Yeah, once I had been buried underground,
those were crazy.
Speaker 4 (24:48):
Yeah, A lot of stuff like the music box and
everything going off.
Speaker 8 (24:52):
Rebecca agrees with me, we need to go back.
Speaker 6 (24:56):
Oh yeah, yeah, we about that. Yeah, that was, Yes,
we did.
Speaker 8 (25:00):
My cousins want to go so bad and I'm but
I'll check into it. Give me time.
Speaker 14 (25:09):
You must have advance, yeah, yeah, kind of have to.
Speaker 6 (25:14):
It's yeah for it, right, I know.
Speaker 4 (25:18):
Oh my god, I.
Speaker 6 (25:19):
Have to sell a kidney.
Speaker 3 (25:21):
Yeah, but no, you do, just give up for it.
But it's worth it. It's totally worth it.
Speaker 8 (25:29):
It's definitely worth it. It's just it's coming up with
that money.
Speaker 6 (25:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
Yeah, you think the entire place to yourself.
Speaker 6 (25:40):
I know.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
That was I think, to me, probably one of the
most impressive things too.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
I mean, granted you had, you know, the staffers there
to make sure you didn't fall down and hit your
head on something, but.
Speaker 6 (25:50):
Right, yeah, you know they stayed out that way.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
I think.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
You know, honestly, I think when we started a pulling
out all the gear, but the coffee pot, the tea pot,
the hotchhok, and you're like, this.
Speaker 3 (26:06):
Is not their first you're doing. They know what you're doing. Yeah,
we're gonna be okay with these guys.
Speaker 6 (26:18):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 8 (26:19):
I think I only saw one roaming in the ground
once the whole time.
Speaker 2 (26:24):
Yeah, we were Yeah, for everybody listening. We were there
in November. It was like the last week they were
open for the season. It was cold, and they were
telling us, oh, every somebody will be around every hour
to check on you. And I didn't see anybody the
entire night.
Speaker 5 (26:43):
I think the only time was didn't that one gal
like take us down to the gas nambers?
Speaker 3 (26:49):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that was it.
Speaker 4 (26:53):
Otherwise it was like, bye, you're on your own word
staying here.
Speaker 3 (26:59):
Ordered it's a fire.
Speaker 8 (27:02):
We were all good though.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
Yes, it was great. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (27:07):
I was now, let's go back here a little bit
because I know you've got some equipment, but what was
your very first piece of equipment?
Speaker 3 (27:16):
Probably a K two meter? Okay K two meter?
Speaker 8 (27:21):
And then.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
Downloaded the Spiritus app on my phone because my very
very first investigation was with a few other a handful
of other girls and it was actually out in Edinburgh.
Speaker 6 (27:33):
Yeah that's right.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
Yeah, we had no idea what we were doing. We
thought we were cool. Uh, no clue whatsoever.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
Yeah, and then the Spirits app where the tooth I
had that in a flashlight.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
That was it.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
And it was one of those things where everything that
came across spirit is You're like, what was that?
Speaker 9 (28:04):
What was it?
Speaker 2 (28:05):
Yeah, because what it meant or how to work it
or anything like that. I just figured everything was legit
and that's what it was.
Speaker 6 (28:15):
Yeah, that's funny. Your very first one was Edinburgh, and
our very first one was Leska.
Speaker 10 (28:23):
We hit some of the heavy hairs and we came
out of the gate like all yeah.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
Swinging, you know.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
And it's so funny because I'm like, oh, any but
anybody who's looking to get into us at Granger House
is really good to get started.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
Mason House in is really good to get started. You know,
Cedar Falls Women's Club. You know, there's nothing there that's really.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
Scary, but you could get good interaction here we are Burgenveleska.
Speaker 6 (28:50):
I love that. That's why I recommend that.
Speaker 12 (28:56):
Probably not, but you know, well, we had two beginners
Edinburgh for my birthday. Oh yeah, they've never been on one,
and we took them to Edinburgh.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
They and two tearing in hill.
Speaker 8 (29:11):
It was Tammy and uh Julie Julie.
Speaker 3 (29:15):
Yeah, okay, all right, but they got.
Speaker 4 (29:18):
To see the ball coming out of the doll's hand
and stuff like that, So I mean it was kind
of a quiet night, but we did have some interaction
with that damn doll once again.
Speaker 9 (29:28):
And do the dolls in the rape they called the
rape room. Okay, we carried it around us with us
in different rooms, and I put my catballs in both
hands and we were upstairs on the second floor in
the blue room they called the blue room. We set
(29:48):
her down in a chair and we say, can you
throw those at Allison? And nothing happened, Nothing happened, nothing happened,
And the next thing we know, both balls went towards Allison.
Speaker 4 (30:05):
Right now, many, we've made it pretty good before going
down the rabbit hole.
Speaker 6 (30:14):
Down the rabbit hole.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
No, I'm just saying the dolls though, I don't know.
I don't know what it is about in the like
the creepy assht the dolls.
Speaker 3 (30:21):
But yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (30:22):
There was something vibing with that doll, and like we
took it up to the coffin room.
Speaker 6 (30:27):
Oh yeah, I put.
Speaker 9 (30:28):
The cat ball on her head because I'm going, well,
she's thrown it at Alison's sitting on top of her head.
Speaker 8 (30:36):
And then there was a teddy bear sitting on the bench.
Speaker 9 (30:38):
So I put the cat ball on the teddy Bear.
It'd go from her head going off and then the
teddy Bear, then it was her head, then the teddy Bear,
and then it was just the teddy Bear after that.
Speaker 3 (30:50):
Yeah, crazy, I know.
Speaker 4 (30:54):
And the thing is is that when the ball would
go off on the doll, like when we were down
in the rape room, that K two switched positions, like it.
Speaker 9 (31:04):
Moved, the K two moved and you guys sit you
and Mama Pat said you saw the feet move.
Speaker 5 (31:10):
Yeah, and so to Stephanie, yeah, we saw one of
the of her feet.
Speaker 4 (31:15):
I want thank you, no thank you, because I was
like they said it, they both said it at the
same time, and I'm like, Okay, that didn't happen. And
then later I'm like I'm watching her and then all
of a sudden, I was like, well share her.
Speaker 6 (31:29):
Foot just moved, like what just happened?
Speaker 2 (31:32):
Like okay, but you can keep you got that's what
That's a you thing. You all own that and enjoy it.
And I don't need to be a part of dolls moving.
Yes you do, because I'm gonna need an old priest
and a young priest and a whole bunch of holy
water because.
Speaker 6 (31:53):
As I'm sitting here, with balls behind me.
Speaker 3 (31:56):
Yeah, thank you, And I'm going to go home to dolls.
Speaker 15 (32:02):
Yes, but see that's something you enjoy and I do not,
So I don't have any Gosh, I just have a
dog sitting here at my feet looking at me like
I'm crazy because I'm talking to no one.
Speaker 5 (32:18):
Who are you talking to?
Speaker 3 (32:19):
Because it's not me, it's not me. You're not playing fetched.
I don't understand what's happenings.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 8 (32:29):
He's probably giving you one of those looks.
Speaker 4 (32:36):
Now, what what investigations do.
Speaker 6 (32:40):
You have lined up?
Speaker 3 (32:44):
So let's see.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
Well, in a couple of weeks, I'm heading down to
New Orleans with some friends for a week. Cool, just
turn that out, so that'll be fun. I mean area
is haunted, so oh.
Speaker 6 (32:57):
Yeah, that's on my bucket list. I want to get
down there so bad.
Speaker 9 (33:00):
I'm gonna hide in April suitcase.
Speaker 2 (33:07):
And then the first weekend of May, I'm actually hosting
another junior investigation at Granger House.
Speaker 3 (33:13):
Cool.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
The mother of one of the boys that was at
the first one that I did a couple of years
ago reached out again and he's got a buddy who
wants to come to So it's going to be two
kids and two moms and myself at Granger.
Speaker 9 (33:28):
Cool fun.
Speaker 3 (33:30):
So they're super excited.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
And then after that is Mason House and the weekend
of Mother's Stay and let me see what else I've
got on the calendar. And that's it for a little bit. Actually, wow,
(33:53):
I know, it gets really really busy and then kind
of breaks up for a little bit. So maybe we
can get to the Women's Club here coming up.
Speaker 9 (34:06):
Let's see, we've got the Baby House this weekend. Then
we got the Garrett Garnett Garnett Hotel that Kansas, Uh
huh Garnett.
Speaker 5 (34:24):
Yeah, oh Parney, Yeah, that's all.
Speaker 8 (34:33):
We've got until Melbourne.
Speaker 6 (34:37):
Oh yeah, m hmm yeah, because we're.
Speaker 9 (34:41):
Working around everybody's schedules and kids.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
Yeah, well you guys are coming to Mason House though
that weekend, right, when is it? Yeah, the Mother's Day weekend,
the Saturday, well, the Saturday of Mother's Stay weekend.
Speaker 8 (34:57):
I didn't know anything about it.
Speaker 3 (34:59):
You were on the chat stop saying that.
Speaker 5 (35:02):
I was, Oh, I don't think I have anything on it.
Speaker 9 (35:06):
Let me check my chat.
Speaker 4 (35:09):
She's like it's like, I don't know, I don't have
anything on it.
Speaker 3 (35:14):
I got the receipt it's been posted anything, but yeah,
because I need to get on that, and I apologize that.
Speaker 2 (35:23):
You hear the beast growling, he's decided to wake up
ferocious that somebody.
Speaker 8 (35:29):
That's okay.
Speaker 6 (35:29):
I don't worries.
Speaker 2 (35:33):
She's like scrolling scrolls minute.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
I'm serious.
Speaker 8 (35:39):
You last time you posted was February second. That's why
I don't remember.
Speaker 6 (35:49):
Oh my lord, I guess.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
Yeah, I need to get on that.
Speaker 5 (35:54):
But yeah, I don't think I have anything, okay.
Speaker 3 (36:02):
Because I have you two talents coming.
Speaker 6 (36:06):
That's fine. I just said I don't have it on
my calendar, so I know I have no idea, but
I'm game. Field were super organized.
Speaker 3 (36:16):
I mean, right, oh my god.
Speaker 8 (36:20):
Oh that's right, because we all couldn't decide on a
date at first. Right, I'm going through all the comments here.
Speaker 3 (36:30):
And then everyone's like, yeah, that date works for me.
So I reached out to Chris.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
And Faye and they're like, yeah, that date's open. Then
everyone's like, oh crap, it's Mother's Day. I'm like, well,
I heard it just made the deposit.
Speaker 8 (36:40):
I think I brought it up to you. You said
you didn't have anything going on that. I guess I.
Speaker 6 (36:46):
Must be smoking something. Or I forgot because yeah, I
don't have no calendar, but I should be good to go.
Speaker 3 (36:52):
Okay, anyway, I need one way or another, figure it out,
they always do.
Speaker 6 (36:59):
That's all right, that's right. M I'm losing my marbles.
Speaker 3 (37:07):
I'm losing my marbles.
Speaker 4 (37:10):
I have to put everything on a calendar and set
alerts because I forget everything.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
I always laugh when people are like, oh, do you
want a text reminder, an email reminder, a phone call?
Speaker 5 (37:20):
Like, yes, write something, you gotta remind.
Speaker 9 (37:26):
You mean, we gotta investigate the Mason House instead of
drink wine.
Speaker 8 (37:32):
Yeah, because last time we went, we droke. We drank
wine instead of.
Speaker 6 (37:40):
That was a fun time though.
Speaker 3 (37:43):
That was fun, especially when Kelly's son woke up underneath
the table and balked his head.
Speaker 6 (37:50):
Yeah, that was that was hilarious.
Speaker 3 (37:52):
Like are you okay? Yeah, it's fine, okay, because now
I'm laughing.
Speaker 4 (37:55):
Yeah, gosh, I really didn't expect tend to be up
so early the next morning.
Speaker 3 (38:03):
Not no, no, I wouldn't have been.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
Oh my lord, Yeah.
Speaker 9 (38:15):
I'm supposed to ask you about the jail. Oh, the jail, Yeah,
Darren said, to ask her about the jail.
Speaker 3 (38:27):
So then I'm gonna be a little ship and be like,
which what.
Speaker 4 (38:34):
Right?
Speaker 2 (38:35):
Because no, yeah, I was able to get up to
I'm gonna I'm gonna say this wrong, Darren, and I apologize.
Speaker 3 (38:42):
But there was Shorra County Jail. That's a recal.
Speaker 2 (38:46):
Society up there, and that was Oh was that February? Sure,
we'll say February something like that. Yes, it was February.
It was the first jail that held ed Gean when
he was picked up for murder, and then the officials
(39:07):
discovered what all he'd been up to in the decade
plus he'd been living out on his farm by himself.
Speaker 3 (39:16):
And that place is absolutely amazing.
Speaker 2 (39:20):
I mean, if anybody who knows me knows that I
am such a history geek that I I can't help it.
Speaker 3 (39:26):
I will read everything. But and it's not just dead.
Speaker 2 (39:34):
Yes, Ed is the headliner because obviously you know he
was the real life inspiration behind leather Face and you
know Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs and Normans, right,
but you know the.
Speaker 3 (39:49):
Other people who occupied those cells.
Speaker 2 (39:51):
And you know the other things that happened in that town.
There's players there and it's fascinating. So I high recommend
that If anybody who is interested in history, who wants
to immerse themselves in jail like experience, he doesn't have
to go to Ohio State Reformatory or you know, Missouri.
(40:15):
If that's just completely If that's not feasible for you,
which it's not for everyone, definitely check that place out,
because it is.
Speaker 3 (40:24):
It is wonderful. One of the.
Speaker 2 (40:28):
Things that that is in ed cell is they have
a glass case with some of the rifles from the
farm and one of mister Dean's knives. Oh yeah, And
you know, every once in a while I get around
an object and I get incredibly, incredibly nauseous, and that
one of them through stream discomfort being around that.
Speaker 3 (40:54):
I mean, it's very well used and worn and then land.
Speaker 2 (41:00):
In our investigation, I was with Kelly and Chris, they
were going live. I don't know, if you know, if
people follow Traveler's Moon, they've probably seen parts of what
they've put out on TikTok and their various social media channels.
But Darren unlocked the last case, and the second those
doors opened, there was such a rush of energy that
(41:20):
came out of there.
Speaker 3 (41:23):
I love.
Speaker 2 (41:25):
Everything, and the hair stood up on your arms. The
equipment started going crazy.
Speaker 3 (41:30):
It was a moment. Oh, I bet, and you're just
kind of like, yeah, we can, we can close those
lock those I mean, this was really cool thing.
Speaker 6 (41:44):
Sign me up.
Speaker 3 (41:48):
Hello, My mom just tried calling back. Once we conclude this.
She's she's leaving for You're up.
Speaker 2 (42:00):
Tomorrow, So that's probably wow, I find another Travis.
Speaker 6 (42:09):
Oh Man nice.
Speaker 3 (42:11):
Definitely check that place out. It is. It is phenomenal.
Speaker 2 (42:16):
I can't so, Darren, expect a phone call or a
message or something.
Speaker 6 (42:21):
Yeah, we still have yet to make it up there.
Speaker 5 (42:26):
I don't know how that would I don't know how
I would react to that night.
Speaker 3 (42:32):
And I'm nervous about that for you.
Speaker 9 (42:34):
Yeah, Oh, she's been pretty good lately.
Speaker 8 (42:40):
I haven't had the speed dial on anybody lately. Yeah,
it has been good, have been good.
Speaker 6 (42:48):
But it would be interesting to see what kind of
you know, what I would pick up off of that
the energy.
Speaker 3 (42:57):
Yeah, you know it.
Speaker 2 (43:00):
When you look at the whole story with mister Gee
through the twenty twenty four lens, you know, you just, yeah,
he did awful things, but you just kind of feel
a little sorry for the guy. So much mental illness there,
and he really was born with zero chance in life
that you can't excuse what he did, but at the
(43:23):
same time you're you're empathetic towards him. So and they
have a they have a full size cutout of him
in the jail cell, and you're like, okay.
Speaker 4 (43:37):
O, wow, okay, all right, God, that wouldn't freak you
out walking through there in the dark.
Speaker 3 (43:48):
No, not at all.
Speaker 13 (43:50):
M hmm.
Speaker 5 (43:51):
What's up with everybody having their cardboard cutouts mannequins or creepy.
Speaker 6 (43:54):
Ass dolls and locations like mannequins, grangers full.
Speaker 9 (44:01):
Of annequins, I know, and one of them their eyelash
has moved.
Speaker 4 (44:06):
Yeah, the one on the bed, that one that's sitting
all crisscrossed, and that was the same one that had
the cat's way yep, yeah.
Speaker 3 (44:16):
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (44:19):
I don't know what it is about that kind of stuff,
but we tend to get a lot of activity with those.
Speaker 5 (44:26):
I'm just waiting for something like that to come crawling
at us or something.
Speaker 3 (44:34):
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Speaker 6 (44:36):
I can't I keep saying that.
Speaker 3 (44:39):
You heard it.
Speaker 4 (44:42):
Yeah, I keep saying it because I really actually wanted
to happen, like I think that would be. I'd probably
pee my pants. But at the same time, I'd be like,
oh my god, this is so cool, like what just happened?
But I'd be terrified.
Speaker 3 (44:57):
Story from Malvern.
Speaker 8 (45:00):
Now you're in trouble.
Speaker 6 (45:01):
What was that, April?
Speaker 3 (45:03):
Have you not heard of Kelly's story from Alverne?
Speaker 8 (45:06):
Yeah? Oh you crawler, yep?
Speaker 3 (45:11):
I yeah, I would not be okay with that.
Speaker 6 (45:16):
Oh geez.
Speaker 4 (45:17):
Darren said, next time he's going to lock you in
a cell as a new experiment.
Speaker 3 (45:22):
Threat.
Speaker 5 (45:24):
Like that's a threat, April is saying, bring it. So
just locker in there, locker.
Speaker 3 (45:30):
In there, make myself comfy.
Speaker 6 (45:36):
Oh my lord, Oh my lord. So do you have
a bucket list location that you.
Speaker 8 (45:41):
Want to go on?
Speaker 3 (45:43):
I have a hundred.
Speaker 6 (45:47):
You don't have one hundred and one.
Speaker 2 (45:51):
I mean I want to go to trans Alleghany, you know,
old old Uh well, I wanted to do an overnight
at Ohio State Reformatory. I just did the day tour there.
Speaker 3 (46:04):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (46:08):
There's so many places, you know, and then everything out
west and then you know Europe.
Speaker 9 (46:17):
I mean.
Speaker 2 (46:20):
Yeah, there's just there's just too many, too many to
pick from. You know, Waverly Hills absolutely, mhmm.
Speaker 4 (46:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (46:30):
I have not been there yet.
Speaker 3 (46:33):
Inner I know that's a play.
Speaker 6 (46:37):
I'd like to get there one of these days.
Speaker 4 (46:39):
I will.
Speaker 8 (46:40):
I'd like to go back, because that place was so big.
We didn't even cover half. Oh no, yeah, we might
have covered a third of a third.
Speaker 2 (46:54):
And that's another place that you know, the the true
history of it has gotten so twisted over the years
that even though it looks big, bad and scary now,
you know when it was actually built at a state
of the art and there was a waiting list to
get in there. Yeah, and so it's just you know,
(47:15):
me bringing my my history minor to all of it.
Me and my like insatiable like oh I need to
read about this now, mm hmm, just to be in there.
Speaker 3 (47:26):
And to walk those halls and yeah, Waverley's at the top,
I mean.
Speaker 6 (47:32):
Yeah, yeah, that would be interesting to do. Like what
was that little the Death shoot or something or the
Death where they took the dead bodies down?
Speaker 8 (47:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (47:45):
Yeah, Chris and Dustin and Dana and resall went to
the bottom. Well they were coming up. Well, Chris decided
he was going to go back down, so he went
back down. He only made it halfway and he goes nope, nope, nope,
and ran all the way up. I don't know what
he saw, but he wasn't going any farther.
Speaker 6 (48:08):
Yeah, that would be interesting to do.
Speaker 5 (48:10):
You know, I've always wanted to be in a place
where they have like a mark and I could like
lay in one of the.
Speaker 6 (48:17):
You know where they put you in it.
Speaker 9 (48:20):
Yeah, you could do that a way rutely m.
Speaker 6 (48:25):
I would like to do that and see what happens.
Speaker 8 (48:30):
They got an odd topsy table too, mm hmmm hmmm,
laying right next to where they put you in the freezer.
So lay on either one. Interesting And after we do that,
I'm gonna have to have three phones on speed dial
and all my crystals and everything else.
Speaker 3 (48:52):
So o my god, stray and some more candles.
Speaker 9 (49:03):
And I'm gonna find a spongy thing that looks like
my crystals so I can hand it to her. Then
when it gets thrown at me, it won't hurt.
Speaker 6 (49:14):
H I had no idea that I did that.
Speaker 8 (49:19):
I did that when.
Speaker 5 (49:24):
Darren wants me to lay on the embalming table at
Broadhead manner.
Speaker 3 (49:32):
That support, then you're then you're gonna get the full Yeah. Yeah,
big of a deal. Yeah, granted I grew up in
a right.
Speaker 6 (49:45):
Yeah exactly, so you're like the girl from My Girl.
Speaker 2 (49:51):
I had a favorite casket, okay, growing up it was lovely.
You what I had a favorite casket in the casket
was growing up.
Speaker 4 (50:00):
Lord.
Speaker 2 (50:01):
It was white with pink lining and then it had
cherry blossom flowers on the outside.
Speaker 3 (50:07):
Beautiful.
Speaker 6 (50:08):
Oh yeah, that'd be pretty mm wow.
Speaker 5 (50:12):
But I wouldn't think that, you know, at that at
a young age, you'd be like, oh, this cat's kids
really pretty.
Speaker 8 (50:19):
I love it, Like, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (50:27):
I don't know if I would be thinking the same thing.
Speaker 9 (50:29):
But you never know.
Speaker 3 (50:31):
You never grow up around it. It's totally different, That's true.
Speaker 4 (50:35):
I get that.
Speaker 3 (50:42):
Not all kids just you know, right around in a
hearse or no. Yeah, okay.
Speaker 4 (50:52):
Darren's like, there's been two hundred and fifty bodies on it, okay. Oh,
Darren said, sometime in the fall of the garage at
the jail will be available to investigate who that might
be interesting?
Speaker 6 (51:11):
Good Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5 (51:16):
I'm just waiting to see if Darren pops in with
any questions or anything.
Speaker 8 (51:21):
He is my question guy.
Speaker 6 (51:23):
I actually did not prepare any questions for today.
Speaker 4 (51:26):
I's like, you know what, I'm just gonna win because.
Speaker 5 (51:28):
A lot of times I'll type up questions or whatever.
Speaker 6 (51:33):
Yeah, we're just gonna wing it. It's all good, it's
all good.
Speaker 5 (51:38):
We like to wing it every now and then.
Speaker 4 (51:39):
You know, do you have any expos or anything that
you're you got coming up that you're gonna be taking
part in.
Speaker 2 (51:49):
The next one is the Cedar Rapids expos that Killeen
Chris are putting on. And it's actually gonna be out
at the Palo I think it's a Palo Community Center.
Speaker 6 (52:00):
So were the hat last year?
Speaker 3 (52:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (52:02):
Okay, cool?
Speaker 8 (52:05):
That was at place? Mm hmm.
Speaker 6 (52:09):
Yeah, it wasn't bad. We stopped there before we were.
Speaker 5 (52:12):
And uh with her, Oh that's all right, Yeah, that's right,
that's all right.
Speaker 8 (52:17):
I can't remember oh my Edinburgh with her?
Speaker 6 (52:20):
That's right. Nice.
Speaker 5 (52:23):
Yeah, Well, okay, seeing I don't think he asked any questions.
Speaker 3 (52:32):
All right, so hey, wow, imagine that.
Speaker 4 (52:35):
Well, do you have any questions or anything, Kim or
anything that we haven't covered that you'd like to discuss?
Speaker 9 (52:42):
No, I think we covered pretty much stuff that we
never covered before with her.
Speaker 4 (52:49):
Yeah, do you have an email or anything that you
prefer people to get a hold of you if they're
interested in doing like the Women's Club.
Speaker 2 (52:57):
Yeah, you can message the Raven Paranormal Facebook page. We're
also on Instagram, so you can message there, or my
email address is b O j I nineteen seventy nine
at gmail dot com. And just go ahead and put
in there that you're interested in the Cedar Falls Women's Club.
Speaker 3 (53:19):
Otherwise I'll think it's spam and not answer you all
on it.
Speaker 2 (53:24):
I think it is, and we'll try to get something
work out and put on the calendar for that awesome.
Speaker 5 (53:32):
Now, is there is there like a cap like the
price is good for so many people, or.
Speaker 2 (53:40):
It's three hundred dollars regardless, or if you go over
ten people, it's an it's thirty dollars per person.
Speaker 3 (53:47):
So you know, but I wouldn't go over.
Speaker 2 (53:51):
Ten people, right, And it's it's pretty open. I mean
it is old Victorian mansion, but it has an auditorium
on it and.
Speaker 3 (54:00):
It's really it's not that big of a location.
Speaker 8 (54:02):
Nor yeah it echoes real, yeah.
Speaker 3 (54:05):
Really good. So just you know, between all of us,
I wouldn't do it over ten people.
Speaker 4 (54:13):
Oh yeah, yeah, ten ten would be plenty, yeah, plenty,
because otherwise didn't.
Speaker 3 (54:22):
Get away unless it's a big group of people.
Speaker 2 (54:25):
Who've never done this before and really just kind of
want to get their feet wet right then. But if
you're a serious investigator and that's really please knuckle down
and do and things like that, and I would not
go over ten.
Speaker 6 (54:39):
Oh yeah, for sure, No, I would not either.
Speaker 4 (54:43):
All Right, well, I guess we will just kind of
wrap things up here, but I'd just like to thank
everybody who's in chat tonight.
Speaker 6 (54:53):

gearing up here for. I've just been with prom graduation,
all that jazz.
Speaker 14 (55:43):
Oh Jesus, Yeah, because you know, I'm starting to get
all that stuff done for next year, so trying to
