Hello, hello everybody, Welcome toanother episode of the Restore My Soul

Podcast. We are here to havereal conversations about resilience and how to help
you in your emotional wellness journey.I am your favorite grief and emotional wellness
specialist, Princess Millings and the host, and I am so excited about what
we will share today in today's episode. I believe that if we are well
(02:29):
emotionally, that we can learn tobe and become all that God has called
us to be. So I'm soexcited about our guest today. My special
guest guest today is near and dearto my heart. She is so very
special to me, Reverend Rita Henderson, and she is an award winning,
(02:51):
four time Amazon best selling author, international author. Let me clear that up.
She is in empowerment speaker. Sheis a self publishing coach who helps
five four ministers plant the seeds ofconfidence and harvest their self faith and there
and clarify their lives, mission andtheir vision so that they can birth faith
(03:16):
based businesses that serve, scale andsucceed. And she is known as the
spiritual midwife if you've ever heard ofher before, and has taught hundreds and
hundreds of ministers on how to birththeir purpose and monetize on their God or
Dain talents and acquired skill sets bybuilding successful faith based businesses. So I'm
(03:44):
so glad that my special guess ishere. I'm gonna go ahead and bring
her up here with us. Thankyou so much for being here. Girl?
Who is that woman? That isyou? And I just want to
thank you so much for being heretoday. I know it's a lot of
(04:06):
things that you're gonna bless the peoplewith your story today, and we just
gonna let God have his way today. How about that? Ray Lord?
Yeah, just before we get started, I just want you to tell the
people share some things about yourself andyou know, how did you get on
(04:28):
this road to being who you aretoday, this woman of God who has
a lucrative self publishing business. Andwe know that everybody has a story,
right it's a thing, and it'ssome things that got us to where we
are right now. So I wantyou to just introduce yourself and you know,
tell people how you came to be. Well, let me say this,
(04:53):
My goodness, my goodness, mygoodness, this is just an absolutely
amazing every since I logged in onhere, logged in today and as you
were introducing the woman who God hascreated me to be, my God,
my God, I was just hearingin the Holy Spirit, like we we
look good, we look good.We show up and we look good.
(05:15):
We show up and we look good, we clean up really well, right,
and because he has restored our souls, because He's restored us, and
oh my goodness, and and eveneven while life is life and right,
we still come and we show upand we look good. Andre's still some
things that are going on right. And so God is faithful, faithful on
(05:38):
today. And I'm just glad tobe here, Princess, absolutely amazing to
be connected to you. It's justit's just almost so overwhelming in the spirit
that every time, like we almostencountered it almost it just takes my breath
away. It takes it does it. It's literally almost like I'll be bad
but air right because it's almost physicallyoverwhelming for me. Because it's amazing when
(06:03):
you can connect with like minded, equally yop women, kingdompreneurs and that have
a story, that have a testimonyright and and still show up right despite
everything that the devil threw at us. And so I'm just I'm just glad
to know you. I'm just gladto be here, and I'm rever reading.
(06:28):
I've rever reading mo Nigga Henderson.I'm a speaker, I'm a publishing
book coach. I am the CEOof five four Publishing l LLC. And
when you said lucrative, I'm like, oh, where the money at?
But abundance is so much and whythe money is yet manifesting? Come on
now, But there's so much abundance, so much abundance and these staples,
so I do run. I'm theCEO of very deport of publishing company five
(06:53):
Publishing LLC. I'm also on awardwinning for a time Amazon. I'm best
selling international author outside of the Iam a faithful woman. I wanted to
buy an assignment to provide Christian ministersand leaders with the self publishing strategies,
guides and resources that they need toturn their stories into influential, income producing
books that will impact the world growth. Because your story can and will change
(07:15):
lives. And it's that thing,it's that think that you know, that
that trauma. That's what I teachpeople how to do, Princess how by
the transformational message of their trauma.Because and you haven't been any any trauma,
then I doubt you will be evenwatching this podcast right now. Absolutely
right. So, but to takethat trauma, whether the childhood trauma,
(07:39):
adolescent trauma, domestic violence, whateverit is, and and and and after
coming out of it, right afterHe's restored us out of that thing,
right, and we have some emotionalintelligence around it. And you came in
my life at a great time becauseLord knows it's something that I pray for.
So when I meant you as emotionalwellness, you hear me. You
(08:03):
hear me. And so taking allof that and then using that in a
way into which connect to the peoplethat were called to serve by writing and
self publish in your books is whatI teach in how to build a platform
using the trauma, the transformational thetrauma, but the transformational message of the
(08:26):
trauma. And so how I gothere is just absolutely amazing, right because
He's given us all the testimonies, revelations, and the Book of Revelations it
says that we're overcome by the bloodof the Lamb and by the word of
our testimony. And so I havean amazing testimony. Yeah, yes,
(08:48):
So dive into that testimony. Telleverybody, you know how you grew up.
You know, maybe some things thatyou have had to bounce back from
you know some things of our lifeso that they can be empowered to know
that they can do it too.Yeah, it's been. It's a lot
like what wasn't about? I said, we had ten thousand tongues. I
(09:09):
couldn't tell it all. So I'meven as I see her, I'm seeking
the Holy Spirit, like wait tostart my story to share with them.
That's gonna resonate with somebody. Buton July eighteen twenty and eleven, let
me start there. July eighteen twentyand eleven, as I was driving away
from my good government job, Iheard the Lord. He said, when
you drive away from here today, daughter, he said, don't you ever
(09:31):
drive back here again? He said, And I'll promise you Rita. He
said, if you take care ofmy business, he said, I promise
you, I'll take care all ofyour business. And I worked twenty six
years. I was in a justoverbroke situation. I was bankruptcy. I
was going through a divorce. Iwas in the bankruptcy. My home was
(09:52):
being foreclosed. My car's being repolled. One I relinquished, one got repolled.
One I relinquished. I told himto come and get it either way,
and in two thousand and seven, and the brink of what happened was
in two thousand and seven and inmy thirties. But then in two thousand
and seven, I woke up witha crook in my neck and that crook
(10:15):
in my neck and to me goinginto paralysis from the neck down. And
yeah, and it took them liketwo months to me, for me to
figure for them to figure out whatwas wrong with me, and for me
to get into the right place andinto the right people. But in the
meantime, well, my body wasshutting down and I was going into paralysis
from the neck down. And whenI did get into the right office doctor's
(10:39):
office, I found out that theywere telling me I would be in a
wheelchair for the rest of my life, is what was happening, and that
I had the spine, this spy. My spine was being severed. There
was it was, it was goingflat and it was getting ready to rupture.
(11:03):
And so yeah, so I neededto have emergency surgery and all of
the things. And it really calledme. I'm like wow, and it
called me at the time, itwas like wow. You know, I
was I was working well, andI was even thinking about you know,
maybe even going for some promotions. At the time I was getting ready to
get married. It happened like itwas like thirty days before my wedding and
(11:28):
so yeah, and so the doctor'slike, and I'm like, surgery,
I'm about to get married, youknow, I get married. And he
said, well, do you wantto walk down the aisle or do you
want to be pushed down the aisle? And I said, I want to
be pushed that I don't want towork down the hall, of course.
And so that that led to sixsurgeries later. I sit here, six
(11:50):
major surgeries. They've cut my throatopen three times, and it's just been
an amazing, amazing journey. Thoughit's required resilience, it's required faith,
and God has been faithful. Hehas been faithful, and he has restored
(12:11):
me. Uh yeah, yeah, and and and healed me. And it's
just been absolutely amazing. Yeah, let's talk about the when that you had
the surgeries and all of that, you know, the sixth service, the
opening of your throat three times, you know, and that's so powerful because
(12:33):
a lot of times we discount thepower of our voice. Yeah, right,
I had it was a it seemedlike it was an assignment against your
voice, right and all the thingsthat God has called you to. So
tell us a little bit about howyou were able to bounce back and use
(12:56):
the power of your voice and reallybe able to teach other people that their
voice through the printed books that youteach them to write, or even the
speaking part, that their voice ispowerful. And that's the thing, Like
you said, that enemy was tryingto ride me on my voice. For
one I was. I was justyou know, I was not necessarily,
(13:18):
but I was for fear, fornervousness, for whatever reasons. I was
afraid to open up my mouth.I didn't even like my own voice.
I didn't even like the way thatit sounded like it took. In twenty
thirteen, I went to Megafest. It was it was the year that doctor
Eryl Brady was there, and soI was having some issues anyway, my
(13:39):
entire life ever since undergrad, likewhere I was, you know, almost
didn't graduate from undergrad because I didn'twant to take oral communications because it required
you to give speeches in front ofthe class. So I asked the professor.
I asked him, it was justit was really, really, really
bad and undergrad and I had askedthe professor. I waited to take,
(14:03):
first of all, a class thatI should have took, probably in freshman
I believe it is freshman year untilthe semester I graduated, like and I
avoided that much. And I andand for a couple of reasons, but
mainly because it was a part timeprofessor. Because a full time professor at
the university. She wasn't gonna letlike I was. I was just so
(14:26):
all afraid of it. And andJohn doctor John Reimer was she was.
She was tough, and so I, you know, And I asked the
professor, I said, you know, I pulled them aside. I said,
you know, I'm afraid, Isaid, of speaking in public.
And I said, if you couldjust give me a D. And I
had not gotten a D before.I think I got one once and my
first year of college, but Iwasn't getting d's. But I'm like,
(14:50):
and then I made that one up. It didn't stay. But I'm like,
if you could just give me aD, let me graduate with my
bachelor's degree. You know what I'msaying, because I can't do it.
And he said, well, youknow, reader, I'll let you do
your speeches. You know, afterclass, and he did, and he
doing and you know, yeah, and with that end the long runner.
(15:11):
That didn't do me any good.It didn't do me, but I appreciated
it because I didn't get my bachelor'sdegree from Wayne State University. And so
I just had this thing about usingmy voice. And it was twenty and
thirteen when I went to Megafest anddoctor Sha Brady was on the you know,
(15:33):
she was speaking at Megafest that year, and I was sitting there and
I remember sitting there in the arena, I think it was the Airlines American
Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas. And I'm sitting there and I'm watching doctor
Sherl Brady, and God says tome, he said, and now y'all
know doctor Brady. You know thatwho doctor sher Brady is. It's like,
(15:56):
hey, year Megafest, it wasfifty thousand people there, I think
like thirty thousand, twenty five thousandwomen, ten thousand kids, fifteen thousand.
It was huge. And doctor Bradyhas this raspy voice, yes,
very speed voice. Thousands of people, tens of thousands of people, and
(16:18):
she's up there and I'm sitting inthe arena and I'm looking at her,
and God says, now, surelyif I can use her voice, surely
I don't use your voice? Yes, yes, yes, won't he show
you. God has a way ofshowing us, right yeah. And I'm
(16:41):
just like wow, you know,I was so enamored with her, and
I was just like, wow,she's a dynamic She's a dynamic speaker,
you know. And that's what hesaid to me. I was sitting there
in arena. He said, Now, surely if I could use her voice,
then surely I could use horse andpretty much opening up my mouth since
(17:03):
but it's not easy, and sothe devil will try to stop you know,
the voice, right, yeah, because it's important because what power we
know that Proverbs were three, fiveand six is that life and death is
in the power of the tongue.Life and death are in the power of
the tongue. I think it goes. I love it well. Yeah that
(17:26):
yes, yes, yes, thatis so powerful because a lot of times,
uh, the enemy, he willtry to stop us in our tracks,
to make us feel like we areless thing, that our voices don't
matter, even to the point thatyou know, I had the same struggle
that I didn't like the sound ofmy voice either you know what I'm saying
(17:48):
and I don't know. You know, there's this thing, right, we
have to push through to make surethat we're doing what God has called us
to do. Right. And youhave been so instrumental so and teaching hundreds
of ministers, hundreds of Fivefold ministersthe power of their voice in their self
(18:11):
publishing. And there's a lot ofpeople that wouldn't never have published their book
had it not been for a ReverendRida Henderson right and Fivefold Publishing. So
we had to make sure that heshowed you that so that you would be
able to push through and do exactlywhat you're doing right now. I want
(18:33):
you to I want to talk alittle bit about a couple of minutes about
the business side of you, right, the business side of you, and
maybe some things that you can sharewith people who might be struggling and they
have to kind of buy. Somepeople even during the pandemic, they lost
(18:53):
their businesses, right, and somethings that you can encourage with your story
of how you were able to buildyour business. Yeah, who oh yeah.
Entrepreneurship is definitely it takes a buildingup of a muscle, right,
for entrepreneurship. It was a strugglefor me when I first came out in
(19:15):
these internet streets. It was astruggle for me in twenty sixteen. I
wasn't born and raised in the church. I got in the church, like
I like to say, for real, for real around twenty and eleven,
right, And so I think I'ma little bit more radical for church folk.
I know I am. I don'tthink I know I am. I
(19:36):
have been in the place, youknow, I'm a little bit more radical.
So when I first came out,you know, I had this concept,
as you know, I wanted tomonetize ministry, you know. And
I didn't know, but I justknew that me being in the church in
the short time that I was inthe church, I knew that. Well.
One of the things is, it'sfunny, but when I got in
(19:59):
a I was, I was amess. I was just I came straight
out the bar stool. I did. I can't the bar stool into the
church and as us as any ofus, and I'm telling you it was
I didn't have anything. I didn'tfelt I had like I had anything to
offer God. When he first youknow, when he called me, and
I said Lord, I don't havenothing. I can't stop drinking. I
(20:22):
can't. I couldn't stop smoking,I couldn't stop cussing, I couldn't stopating.
I said, I don't. Idon't know how to stop doing these
things. I said, But whatI can do is I can give you
my money. I can give youmoney, and that I will do.
Yeah. I had a job,and I want to know, I didn't
really know how to manage money,no way, so I figure he I
put it in God's teen and theysay, you know there's a such thing
(20:45):
as giving your way out. Imean I didn't know it then, but
I just knew that. My heartwas, I don't have nothing else but
my money to give you, youknow. And I and it was my
I made it my business to bethe highest tide or one of us.
I was the second highest tire fadedin my church. And when they wanted
something, they needed fears, theyneeded a new roof, they needed carpet,
(21:07):
when you know, they needed enoughmoney out I was I made my
I was that person because I couldn'tgive them anything else. I was so
messed up, you know, AndI did, and I believe that there
is and I stood on Luke six. After that, I stood on that
script driving it should be given untoyou. And that came years later.
(21:30):
But when I first got I didn'tknow what really know what to do and
how to do it. And Isaid, you can have my money.
Just whatever they need, I gotit, you know. And and what
I got tired of seeing was thefivefold ministers struggling that like they were going
to jobs, they were in justoverbroke situations, and you and me being
(21:52):
coming into the church later like thiskingdom, right, this is where the
prosperity is in the wealth, right, And I wasn't seeing it, and
I wasn't seeing it in the blackchurch, right, yeah, I was
seeing it with the five four ministerministers. I wasn't. And and then
oftentimes I would see them door dashing, and I think back then I didn't
(22:15):
know about door dashing, but theywere definitely uber in and driving cabs and
stuff like that, right, AndI was like, you know, there
was something wrong with that. Ithink that there's still something wrong with that
now, like yeah, And soGod called me out. I didn't know.
I knew that I wanted to tostart a business to serve the people.
(22:40):
I just really didn't know how Iknew, you know, I wanted
to maize ministry, That's what Iknew. And I was getting a lot
of side eyes, getting a lotof you know, and I didn't have
the self confidence for it. Ididn't I didn't have the backbone for it.
And so I saw the domain name, actually bought it like a thousand
dollars and it was a great concept, I think. So about eighteen months
(23:04):
I struggled. I didn't know reallywhat to do, what was what was
appropriate, right, And so Iwas seeking the Holy Spirit in eighteen months
and the guy spoke to me andhe said, if it's a gift,
it's to be given. If it'sa gift given, and he spoke to
me about the spiritual gifts and youknow, and he said, if it's
(23:26):
a talent a skill, then itcould be it could be so so.
And then he took me to theBook of Matthew right and so and the
pair of bold men with the talent. I mean, you've been to speak
that to me? And I said, okay, I got it now.
Now you don't want people to prayfor him, right, but you could
(23:47):
talk for a prayer journal. I'mjust saying out there that's thinking about how
can I leverage how can I createsomething that's going to generate me the multiple
streams of income. How not generatesomething or create something that's going to you
know what I'm saying, get meinto my wealthy place, right and and
(24:07):
and and if it's a gift,it's to dement And that gave me so
much clarity. It's the clarity thatI needed to move forward. That's good.
So I said, okay, okay, And I knew my my skill
set, my talents, you know, and and they were all aligned with
self publishing. That kind of fellinto that. And that's through self publishing
(24:33):
my book. God, that gaveme such a testimony. He had that
all of that debt that I wasin the twenty and eleven when I walked
off that good government job less thanfive years. Yes, but natural,
super natural cleared up. I'm talkingabout twenty eleven. I'm not talking about
twenty twenty. I'm talking about twothousand and eleven, twenty twelve, thirteen
(24:56):
fourteen, supernaturally canceled student loans, supernaturally cancer. You know that guy that
foreclosure, that I that foreclosure.I was over one hundred thousand dollars worth
of dead that never never appeared onmy credit report. My God, never
appeared on my those report cards neverappear. Not one appeared on my credit
(25:17):
report. Wow. The home thatI that I left, he said,
to stop saying you losing it,because it's all about the words that we
speak. And so in that thingand I'm going somewhere because I hear the
Holy Spinner in whatever it is thatyou're going through, you be careful of
what you speak. And I usedto say I'm losing my home. I
sat in the middle on my bedand I folded my legs up, and
(25:37):
then look and I begin to say, and I'm beginning to weep. And
I'm even saying, Lord, I'mlosing my home. He said, stop
stop speaking those things. Losing anything, He says, stop reframed that,
yeah, vocabulary, I send youleaving it. I'm leaving it. I
ain't losing nothing. I'm leaving itfor better and that I'm seeing. And
(26:00):
then now I bought a four thousanddollars four thousand dollars cash. I call
it the little minuation. Four thousandson cash, like a month. A
couple of days, I got thedeed of it my birthday one year like
and that's just that was just allof it a faithball really, And so
(26:21):
I had this amazing testimony on howyou know he had less than five years
my bills. You know, mybills was down to and they're still pretty
low today, but they're still theywere down to about three hundred and seventy
four dollars a bus. I'm talkingabout owner's insurance, car car insurance,
(26:44):
nice gas water I had. Andso that first book I wrote, from
Small Coins to Big Bucks, ittalked about the five strategies that God gave
me to overcome over one hundred thousanddollars worth of debt and and just recor
he wow, wow, did thatis such a powerful job without a job?
(27:07):
Yeah, I have powerful That isa powerful testimony. That is his
business. He will take care ofall of your besiki first the Kingdom of
God, all the right and allthings will be added unto you. Yes
it is. And that's a greatway to end uh this interview. I
(27:33):
am so glad that you were hereto were able to share and to pour
into the people today. And Iknow, no matter what they're struggling with,
whether it's health issues, whether it'shome, whether it's business right,
somebody will able to get something fromthis episode. So thank you so much.
And before you leave, I wantto invite you to share with people

aspiring an emerging entrepreneurs. I'm gonnacall them because we're doing a little bit

(28:41):

a month. I have a businessstrategy. You know it. You participated
in it. A business strategy thatwill help you get to and passive,
very passive two thousand dollars a month. It's doable. I'm about Kingdom contributions.

is so great. Thank you soagain so much for being here. And
