Carlos and I'm Maria, and todaywe are going to be veering off our
road to WrestleMania to revisit the firstever elimination Chamber match that took place at
Survivor Series two thousand and two.This emanated from Madison Square Garden. This

event not only was the first everelimination chamber match to be held, but
it was also the return of theHeartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels back to the
WWE. This is his second evermatch after returning back to the company from

his hiatus because of back. Sowe also have some other icons besides HBK,
Mister Russellmania, Sean Michaels, wehave Triple H, Booker T Chris,
Jericho, Kine and Rob Bandam RVD, which are all like very excellent
wrestlers. So this match came asa recommendation by our last guest Ray from

our pad TV. Yeah, hesuggested that we go back and revisit this
match, in particularly yourself since thePerth pay per view was like your first
introduction to the elimination chamber match.Even though you got to see the women
and the men this elimination Chamber.Since it's taking place at a Survivor series,

it didn't have its own pay perview like it did in Perth,
so this only had one and sincethere was only one match at that time,
we didn't have the women's obviously,and the other reason we didn't have
the women's is because the women's divisionat this time was not as athletic or

as advanced in wrestling or in storytellingto Garner having its own elimination Chamber match.
So the concept of this event isthat there's two main matches that are
contested inside the Elimination Chamber, andare the championships that are at stake.
Well, for this revisit, thereis not just one. It's just two,

okay, But normally now that it'sits own pay per view, it's
either on the road to WrestleMania andyou earn a title shot or you win
a championship there. So I'm afan of all of these wrestlers and I
couldn't wait to watch this elimination.Did you get a chance to watch us

live? Yeah? I did watchthis live, but I don't like remember
all of it. But I rememberlike certain spots and there are some pretty
iconic spots that hit really well duringthis match. Because, as we said,

there are so many good wrestlers.Do you have any favorites like wrestlers
or spots, well, both,Well, my favorite wrestler would have been
at this point in time, TripleH, HBK and Chris Jericho. With
HBK coming back into the fold,I was very excited to see him come

back, especially since we were alwaysunsure if we would actually get him back
into the ring, and here hecomes back. He had his match at
SummerSlam, and now he's put intothis first ever match. You know this
is this chamber was something that eventhough in the storyline of the Real World

Wrestling Federation Now Entertainment, this isconceived by Eric Bischoff. Well that's what
I'm getting to. It was instoryline, it's conceived by Eric Bischoff,
who was the Raw general manager quoteunquote, but it was actually Triple H

that conceived of it kind of likea writer or like some songwriter would do,
would just he said that he justconceived of it on a napkin and
he gave it to Vince and thenVince gave it to someone else and he
never put any type of other inputbeside that. And when they first got

to see it, I think itwas either a week before the pay per
view. Yeah, He's like youcould tell. Hunter was like you could
tell that whoever created this structure wasnot a wrestler. Why because like everything

about it, Like, let's takea take a quick look at it.
So here's the chamber. This ishow it is now. Yeah, it
looks like it has a round shapeand as you can see at the bottom
there those are greats and then theseare chains, uh steel chains that are
going across and are kind of mimickinglike a cage link, you know when

you have those aluminum chain link fences. So those are supposed to be there
so they can climb and do otherthings like that. But from what I
was reading when I was doing theresearch is that these chains were not very
forgiving. So there were there wererough and there's some couple of spots I

couldn't get any pictures online or anythinglike that to post on here, but
they do a couple of spots wherethey slingshot or they throw RVD a couple
of times to those chain link orthese steel ropes quote unquote bars and they
said that they didn't have enough playin them, right, So when you

were hitting them, they said thatit was just like running into like a
wall. Wow, that's tough.Yeah, so we had them, We
had the grates. The grades werealso unforgiving. When people would get body
slammed painful or it was painful.It was very painful, they said.
Or when they would get like justelbow dropped or back body dropped, and

they would they would feel all ofthose bumps. Elimination Chamber for sure,
Yeah, and lived up to itsname, and we actually got to see
lots of it here. So knowingthis a little bit of tidbit that Triple
H saw this, he put iton a napkin, he gave it to

an engineer, and you're hearing allthis feedback that I gave you. What
did you how did you think?Did you think that this match was going
to be like? Because you hadno idea what the Elimination Chamber match was
before and now knowing how the creatorfinally he got to see his creation brought

to life by someone else and thenhe's like, yeah, you guys,
whoever made this head was never awrestler. He had no idea how we
would be able to work in thisenvironment. And hearing those words, what
do you think is going to begoing on in this first match? You
saw it? But now, likeme telling you the background, Well,

I think, like anything, onceyou're doing something for the first time,
you can only get better are fromthere. You can only learn from your
mistakes, so and you can onlykeep on improving, right, is what
you hope anything. We saw thatduring that last elimination chamber in Perth where
everything looked pretty excellent and still therethey still had some issues, and some

of the issues that they had includelighting where there were shadows cast over the
ring. But with all that said, me watching this first one, you
know a new smark or in training, I thought it was pretty cool and
it seemed like it still held trueto the elimination chamber that we just saw

the other day. You still havethese pods where the wrestlers are released,
and you were telling me that someof the wrestlers were not released in a
timely fashion. Were just one ofthem in that are not came released in
the well? Was it? Yeah? Came was supposed to be released last?
So the first two people that startoff this match was RVD and Triple
(09:05):
H. The ones in the podsare Jericho, Booker T, Kine,
and Seawn Michaels. The only onethat did not come out in the order
that was already predetermined when they weredoing the walkthrough was Kane. Yeah,
so it was supposed to be wegot Jericho first to come out of the
(09:26):
pod, he was Booker T,and then after Booker T was supposed to
be HBK. But they didn't doit right and they actually released Kine,
So that threw off everything that theyhad planned. Because going into this match,
we have Triple H he's the heel. RVD, he's the heel,
(09:48):
right, So when these when they'regoing at it and the timer runs out,
we get introduced to Jericho. Jerichowas kind of heelish at this time,
so you can't have the baby facewho was RVD just getting ganged up
on, right, So we kindof need another face to even up the
(10:09):
odds. And that's when you werethrowing each BK. But because the refs
or whoever was producing it, shinethe light on Kin, that's the one
that got open. So we gotkind of like a neutral because Kane was
also like in a feud with TripleH, so he was kind of facious,
(10:31):
but he's kind of also like anythingcould happen with this king, like
he can just flip and just bedoing his own thing. I had a
few favorites, one being RBD,who flipped off of a cage like Spider
Man in a few spots. Yeah, we have that picture right here,
which I thought was super impressive.He's very agile and I love the way
that he moved during this match.Also, my other favorites during the match

was Jericho. I had a goodtime watch she can wrestle. No,
this is when Rbd's doing that droponto Jericho. And then another one that
I could find here is when Jerichowas punching HBK when he gets out of
the k Ye. That was anawesome spot. HBK was of course one

of my favorites during this match.Also, Booker T was pretty awesome all
that strength. I really like towatch him wrestle, so he was one
of my favorites during this match aswell. Yeah, we got a lot
of one of your favorites here,So what did you think like as far

as like Hbk's like gear because there'sa story behind that. We talked about
this. So his wrestling gear waskind of bland during this match, and
I was kind of surprised. Ithink he was wearing like some kind of
brown wrestling pants, so I wassurprised not to see his usual, like
flashy ring gear, and he hadsome cowboy boots and his hair was cut

a little bit different. So Iwas a little thrown off by his re
entrance into this match. Yeah.Well, the story behind him having those
brown pants, right, was thatI guess he was getting his previous pants
tailored and they weren't done in time. Okay, so we had to go
with those pants. It happens.We've all been there. You got to

go with their plan. B Ifyour planning is not working out, definitely.
No. Do you have any otherhighlights or anything that you enjoyed about
this match? Mostly it was RVDwrestling. I really like to see him
flying through the ring. All hisspots were pretty awesome. Him flipping off
(12:48):
the cage, him on top ofthe pods was one of my favorites too.
Him hopping off. I think wesee Sean Michaels also on the top
of a pod at what, Yeah, we have that. So this is
the infamous spot of RBD trying todo his frog splash onto Triple H.

What ends up happening because he doesn'thave enough clearance on this particular spot.
He just falls like a normal bodysplash, but he doesn't have any control
of it because he's not used todoing it at that height and he's used
to like extending his limbs at acertain way during his frog splash, so
(13:30):
he lands on Hunter's throat or nearhis like trachea area, and he actually
causes damage to him. It causesso much damage to Hunter where he can't
breathe and he can't talk for likea long while. With this particular match,
(13:50):
it's an issue because we have thatissue that happens where kine is released
at the wrong time, and beforethis match happened, people like to like
plot out their things. We're gonnado this, we're gonna do that,

And Hunter and Triple H had realizedan hour before the show that they were
the last two and that they hadnot done a walkthrough about to finish.
Oh, so what they end updoing before this match goes on is,
uh, you know, we'll justcall it in we'll just call it in
the ring. Okay. So theyhad no plan. And because they had
(14:35):
no plan, when Hunter gets histhroat hurt, he could barely communicate.
So now it's you have no typeof communication with Hunter. You just have
to go and try to figure outhow to plot the rest of this match,
not only how to audible from Cainecoming in and the spot that HBK

was supposed to come into, butalso the finale. Wow, that's tough.
Yeah, And that goes on fortwenty three minutes. This match goes
for thirty nine minutes longer well afterthis home the home run time is thirty
nine minutes. But if you're referringto like probably from from when Hunt when

it's the last three maybe where it'sjust Jericho, HBK and Hunter, maybe
that's the other twenty three minutes,because they do go a little bit longer,
even though Hunter is having issues withhis his trachy and his larynx area.
So do you think about the duration, do you think it was like
too short, too quick for thisparticular match. I think it's the right

amount of time. You have,like all these wrestlers that need to be
highlighted, you have RBD, whois always he had that trademark where he
was the whole f and show.You have Chris Jericho, who can go
the Man of one thousand and fourholes. We have Booker t the five

time, five time, five time, five time five time w c W
champion. He we got to seehim do a spinner Rooney. We have
Kane, who our previous guest.Tony is a big fan of Kane,
and this is like the prime ofKane's career, I think you could say,

because once he takes his mask off, it's all downhill for me,
and it was all downhill for Tony. And then you have Hunter, who
was a default champion at this timebecause brock Lesner had taken the WWE championship
with him to SmackDown and that's whatstarted. Like well, Raw needed its
(17:00):
own title, and Eric Bischoff bestowedhim Triple H the title for the Raw
brand, which was the old nW a w CW Big Goldie Belt.
So Triple H ends up winning,No TRIPLEGI ends up losing. He loses
this match. Yeah, the finalwinner, the final winner. So we
(17:22):
have the last three. We canpick it up from there. After RBD
gets eliminated after that frog splash thatgoes awry, Booker T gets eliminated and
King gets eliminated by a combination ofa lion salt a pedigree and sweet chim
music. We have Jericho right hereputting Triple H into the walls of Jericho,

and then he gets super kicked byHBK. In case you weren't sure
what was happening from far away,that's how that looked like. Wow,
so we to get to get aclose up here. That's the sweet chim
music, right, and so oncehe gets superkicked, that's a one two
three pinn and win or a pinnot a win yet for HBK. And

then that just leaves them to TripleH and HBK going at it. And
here's the shot of believe what youwere talking about when HBK does his uh.
Normally this is done from the topof the turnbuckle, but just so
the folks who are watching this arerewatching this along with us, can see

you could see his HBK. Heis a little bit shorter than RBD,
but he's almost touching like that curveof the top of the roof structure,
right, and he's actually standing onthe border of the pod where I believe
RBD was standing and there's like achain link roof to those right. Yeah,

there's a lot of spots stuff frombulletproof plexiglass. Not only does HPK
go through it, but also RVDor Jericho goes through it too and that
and they were not expecting that andthey end up bleeding because of that plexiglass
issue. Wow, So this isdefinitely revisit for me. I would definitely

recommend that you watch this first everelimination Chamber again at Madison Square Garden.
That's where the first WrestleMania was,right, Yeah, the mecca. We
always returned to the mecca of sportsentertainment, which is pretty cool, so
historic, nostalgic again, all theseamazing wrestlers and one match. It doesn't

get any better than this. I'mglad that we saw it. What about
you? Yeah, I was definitelyglad that we got to revisit this match.
Seeing how this match started compared towhere it is now. There are
some changes that they end up doingbecause like the chamber doesn't end up continuing

to be round. They start likemaking some changes and I forgot to get
the picture under to show you,but it ends up being squared just like
the ring. They take the gradesout and they put something that's a little
bit more forgiving from when those wrestlersare taking those bumps on the outside.
They no longer just have grades.I think they just have platforms. There

are most likely either tables or somethingthat's a little bit more reinforced to absorb
those particular moves, whether their backbody drops, body slams, or as
we saw in the women's and themen's recent elimination chamber matches, you might
(20:55):
get you know, I just haveto throw out there that Jericho has some
awesome MoES during this match as well, because he's flying off of ring ropes
like so many times that actually doeslike a backflip off of it, and
that was an awesome spot among many. So I just had a lot of
favorite spots during this match. Reallycool. Then, this was definitely a

match that had like a lot oflike high flying action and spots because we
have a younger Christ Jericho, wehave a younger HBK, and we have
RVD who's also younger and also inthis prime. I have to say this
(21:40):
is probably like one of my favoriteJericho matches that I've seen to date.
So this was pretty good to watch. I'm glad this is one that we
were able to revisit. So Ido have a question. So we just
cut up with today's SmackDown. Yeah, so spoiler alert if you all haven't
watched SmackDown yet. Mm hm.So the SmackDown Show tidbits. Since we

are on the road to WrestleMania,Maria and I are going to be doing
We're gonna be watching Raw and Marieis gonna be giving her thoughts to it
and I'm gonna be giving my thoughtsto it as I was able to watch
it a little bit longer than MariaMaria unfortunately. I mean, we had

the forty minutes promo of the Bloodline. It was really long. I was
like, well, we were livetweeting while we were watching it, and
I was like, we're thirty minutesin and where's the wrestling? But we
weren't alone. It seems like alot of fans were also asking the same
question. They're like, where's wrestling? Not that I don't appreciate watching the

Bloodline or that I don't watch enjoyinglike watching the Rock because I think he's
been an excellent heel since he's poppedback in, and I think people are
just so excited to see him back. He didn't fail us again today.
But when did the wrestling come out? The wrestling did not commence until maybe

seven forty five ish seven fifty.I was trying to keep on the track
of it, but it was afterthe blood line had gone. The main
thing from the blood line is thatthe Rock acknowledged that Roman Reigns is his
tribal chief, which I do havean issue because they showed a PowerPoint slide

and I have to say, allthe kids call it a slide deck.
Now, so we're telling I heardabout this the other day where we're telling
O rage when we say power pointsbecause the kids call it a slide dock,
which I guess is a worse likeway of saying it. Okay,
Well, they showed a power Pointslide when they did the Las Vegas like

press conference, and even though RomanReigns tied in that PowerPoint slide was tribal
chief for the Rock, it hadthe high chief. So to me,
high chief is ranked higher than tribalchief. I would think, right,
because you have why would you addhigh chief and then you have tribal chief.

But that's my issue with it.So he acknowledges that Roman Reigns is
his tribal chief. He The Rockalso made a challenge to Cody and Seth
Rollins, so it will challenge themto what The Rock was cooking. No,

rumored to have been getting before.So it looks like, barring any other

Seth Rollins versus The Rock and RomanReigns that will headline the first night of
WrestleMania, with the stipulation that ifthe bloodline loses, there will be no
interference from the blood line at allwhen Cody Rhoads faces Roman Reigns at Night
two of wrestlemaniapointing. Why is itdisappointing because I'd like to see the bloodline

come in. It's very specific.Well, the Rock did mention and here
is the possible out. Okay,because there was a recent signing and even
though he's not listed in the PowerPointslide of the family breakdown. He is

no bloodline interference, he said,there will be no interference from Solo,

just recently signed Tomatanga, the adoptedson and nephew of Haku, and they
his name was not mentioned. Itcould have been purposefully done, or it
could have just been accidental. Butmy theory is if Roman reigns does just

can get into the matches that happened, all right, So what we also
had after this, we had amatch between Naomi and Tiffany Strain, So

did not get to see Naomi's entranceon the television feed. Maybe the people
there gate to see it, butwe did not. We would robbed the
whole black lights and music and everythingbecause the screen was blacking out every so

said die Rocky die. Oh wow, and the people did not at Fox
did not want the people at hometo see that sign. That's interesting because

getting back to this one, wedon't get any introduction to Naomi, we

Twitter was like, why is Naominot getting her entrance? Why is she

out here with Naomi? I mean, when with Tiffany, are they really
going to have her job out toit, and in my head, I
was like, well, if theydo have her job out to it two,
that means put Tiffany over. It'sgoing to be in a cheap way,
because I could see this actually continuingto few it and maybe we might
get something later on the line,if not at WrestleMania, we might get

it maybe a little bit after WrestleMania. So we did get He's giving like
a little ipoke two Naomi and thenNaomi's little daze. Tiffany ends up hitting
the prettiest little moon Salt and shegets her cheap one. Besides that,

we had another tag match with Baileythe Coda Kai versus the Kabuki Warriors,
Oscar and Carrie saying and at thispoint in time the match, Bailey is
reaching for the hot tag and theCoda is there. But at that moment
when Bailey's reaching for that final andthe Coda, Kai jumps off the apron.

It was a swerve. She betraysBailey and she is with damage control
and they all start beating down Bailey. Bailey has no help at all.
Nobody comes out there for the save. This leads me to believe that we
are probably gonna get a tag teamcome forward to help out Bailey in the

upcoming feud that she has with DamageControl. Even the odds, who that
tag team is I really can't thinkof. Maybe it could have been Indie
and Candice Lorat, but they weredispatched very easily and the tag team title
match that they had that was onthe kickoff for the Perth pay per view.

So we did see Jade Cargill inthe back interact with the Kobuki Warriors.
So maybe we get a tag teamof her and maybe Bianca. That's
always been something someone speculate, especiallythe guys over there podcast Championship Wrestling.

They will always said that maybe we'dbe able to get Bianca and Jaded the
tag team, and maybe that's howBianca not only gets to who do her
match at WrestleMania, but we alsoget her kind of build that kind of
feud where you know, it's kindof like when Haulkogan and the Ultimate Warrior

or Macho Man were Attack Team andthen they had that blow up. They
could do something like that where eventuallyJade gets jealous or Bianca gets jealous,
somebody gets jealous and the tag teambreaks up and they have tag team and
they end up feuding over a WorldChampionship title or something like that. Yeah.

Other matches we had on SmackDown,we had Brown Breaker destroy I believe
is Zion Quinn. He just spearedon like in five seconds. In the
matches over, we had the streetfight between Carlito and Santos Ascobar, which

was going in the favor of ElLagado del Fantasma until we got a returning
ray Mystereo coming back. He wason crutches and he was making his way
down there and Legato, Angel Garzaand Umberto We're gonna go over there,
and it turns out that it's aruse. Ray Masterio ends up beating those

guys down with his coutches. Heends up running some interference and Carlito picks
up the win over Legal de Fantasma. And then the last match we had
was Austin Theory versus Randy Orton.For some reason, Kevin Owens was doing

commentary. Maybe discal lead to sometype of match where we get Brandy Orton
Kevin Owens against Logan Paul because RandyOrton still and my three has to get
his revenge for Logan Paul causing thema shot at a World's Heavyweight or at

the w the World's Heavyweight Championship.That was the one that was on the
line at birth against Seth rollins Bybecause if you remember, Logan Paul was
pretending to be heart and then hegot his knuckles and then he punched,
and he screwed Randy Orton from thatopportunity that he had so close to facing

Seth rollins I think it's just goingto be Logan Paul versus Randy for the
US Championship. Many have speculated thathe really that Randy really doesn't need that
title. I do agree with that, But why do you agree with them?
Well, Randy was just in acouple of matches. He faced Roman

Reigns for the ww Universal one.He was he was in the match for
the World's Heavyweight Championship, the WWEone, and him going for the US
title would kind of be like astep down. If it's a triple threat
match, like if it's Kevin Owens, Randy Orton, Logan Paul, then

you have kind of like an outlike if Randy still loses and Logan Paul
retains kind of type of thing thatyou know, it doesn't really hurt Randy
because he never had that one onone match, or if Kevin Owens is
in that match and he ends upbeating Logan Paul for that belt. I

don't know if Kevin Owens is stillhurt, so we can take a look
and see if that actually happens.But as far as a one on one
match between Randy Orton and Logan Paul, it kind of really doesn't make sense.
But I could probably see it beinglike a trouble threat match like that.

road to WrestleMania to revisit the firstever elimination Chamber match that took place at
Survivor Series two thousand and two.This emanated from Madison Square Garden. This

event not only was the first everelimination chamber match to be held, but
it was also the return of theHeartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels back to the
WWE. This is his second evermatch after returning back to the company from

his hiatus because of back. Sowe also have some other icons besides HBK,
Mister Russellmania, Sean Michaels, wehave Triple H, Booker T Chris,
Jericho, Kine and Rob Bandam RVD, which are all like very excellent
wrestlers. So this match came asa recommendation by our last guest Ray from

our pad TV. Yeah, hesuggested that we go back and revisit this
match, in particularly yourself since thePerth pay per view was like your first
introduction to the elimination chamber match.Even though you got to see the women
and the men this elimination Chamber.Since it's taking place at a Survivor series,

it didn't have its own pay perview like it did in Perth,
so this only had one and sincethere was only one match at that time,
we didn't have the women's obviously,and the other reason we didn't have
the women's is because the women's divisionat this time was not as athletic or

as advanced in wrestling or in storytellingto Garner having its own elimination Chamber match.
So the concept of this event isthat there's two main matches that are
contested inside the Elimination Chamber, andare the championships that are at stake.
Well, for this revisit, thereis not just one. It's just two,

okay, But normally now that it'sits own pay per view, it's
either on the road to WrestleMania andyou earn a title shot or you win
a championship there. So I'm afan of all of these wrestlers and I
couldn't wait to watch this elimination.Did you get a chance to watch us

live? Yeah? I did watchthis live, but I don't like remember
all of it. But I rememberlike certain spots and there are some pretty
iconic spots that hit really well duringthis match. Because, as we said,

there are so many good wrestlers.Do you have any favorites like wrestlers
or spots, well, both,Well, my favorite wrestler would have been
at this point in time, TripleH, HBK and Chris Jericho. With
HBK coming back into the fold,I was very excited to see him come

back, especially since we were alwaysunsure if we would actually get him back
into the ring, and here hecomes back. He had his match at
SummerSlam, and now he's put intothis first ever match. You know this
is this chamber was something that eventhough in the storyline of the Real World

Wrestling Federation Now Entertainment, this isconceived by Eric Bischoff. Well that's what
I'm getting to. It was instoryline, it's conceived by Eric Bischoff,
who was the Raw general manager quoteunquote, but it was actually Triple H

that conceived of it kind of likea writer or like some songwriter would do,
would just he said that he justconceived of it on a napkin and
he gave it to Vince and thenVince gave it to someone else and he
never put any type of other inputbeside that. And when they first got

to see it, I think itwas either a week before the pay per
view. Yeah, He's like youcould tell. Hunter was like you could
tell that whoever created this structure wasnot a wrestler. Why because like everything

about it, Like, let's takea take a quick look at it.
So here's the chamber. This ishow it is now. Yeah, it
looks like it has a round shapeand as you can see at the bottom
there those are greats and then theseare chains, uh steel chains that are
going across and are kind of mimickinglike a cage link, you know when

you have those aluminum chain link fences. So those are supposed to be there
so they can climb and do otherthings like that. But from what I
was reading when I was doing theresearch is that these chains were not very
forgiving. So there were there wererough and there's some couple of spots I

couldn't get any pictures online or anythinglike that to post on here, but
they do a couple of spots wherethey slingshot or they throw RVD a couple
of times to those chain link orthese steel ropes quote unquote bars and they
said that they didn't have enough playin them, right, So when you

were hitting them, they said thatit was just like running into like a
wall. Wow, that's tough.Yeah, so we had them, We
had the grates. The grades werealso unforgiving. When people would get body
slammed painful or it was painful.It was very painful, they said.
Or when they would get like justelbow dropped or back body dropped, and

they would they would feel all ofthose bumps. Elimination Chamber for sure,
Yeah, and lived up to itsname, and we actually got to see
lots of it here. So knowingthis a little bit of tidbit that Triple
H saw this, he put iton a napkin, he gave it to

an engineer, and you're hearing allthis feedback that I gave you. What
did you how did you think?Did you think that this match was going
to be like? Because you hadno idea what the Elimination Chamber match was
before and now knowing how the creatorfinally he got to see his creation brought

to life by someone else and thenhe's like, yeah, you guys,
whoever made this head was never awrestler. He had no idea how we
would be able to work in thisenvironment. And hearing those words, what
do you think is going to begoing on in this first match? You
saw it? But now, likeme telling you the background, Well,

I think, like anything, onceyou're doing something for the first time,
you can only get better are fromthere. You can only learn from your
mistakes, so and you can onlykeep on improving, right, is what
you hope anything. We saw thatduring that last elimination chamber in Perth where
everything looked pretty excellent and still therethey still had some issues, and some

of the issues that they had includelighting where there were shadows cast over the
ring. But with all that said, me watching this first one, you
know a new smark or in training, I thought it was pretty cool and
it seemed like it still held trueto the elimination chamber that we just saw

the other day. You still havethese pods where the wrestlers are released,
and you were telling me that someof the wrestlers were not released in a
timely fashion. Were just one ofthem in that are not came released in
the well? Was it? Yeah? Came was supposed to be released last?
So the first two people that startoff this match was RVD and Triple

H. The ones in the podsare Jericho, Booker T, Kine,
and Seawn Michaels. The only onethat did not come out in the order
that was already predetermined when they weredoing the walkthrough was Kane. Yeah,
so it was supposed to be wegot Jericho first to come out of the

pod, he was Booker T,and then after Booker T was supposed to
be HBK. But they didn't doit right and they actually released Kine,
So that threw off everything that theyhad planned. Because going into this match,
we have Triple H he's the heel. RVD, he's the heel,

right, So when these when they'regoing at it and the timer runs out,
we get introduced to Jericho. Jerichowas kind of heelish at this time,
so you can't have the baby facewho was RVD just getting ganged up
on, right, So we kindof need another face to even up the

odds. And that's when you werethrowing each BK. But because the refs
or whoever was producing it, shinethe light on Kin, that's the one
that got open. So we gotkind of like a neutral because Kane was
also like in a feud with TripleH, so he was kind of facious,

but he's kind of also like anythingcould happen with this king, like
he can just flip and just bedoing his own thing. I had a
few favorites, one being RBD,who flipped off of a cage like Spider
Man in a few spots. Yeah, we have that picture right here,
which I thought was super impressive.He's very agile and I love the way
that he moved during this match.Also, my other favorites during the match

was Jericho. I had a goodtime watch she can wrestle. No,
this is when Rbd's doing that droponto Jericho. And then another one that
I could find here is when Jerichowas punching HBK when he gets out of
the k Ye. That was anawesome spot. HBK was of course one

of my favorites during this match.Also, Booker T was pretty awesome all
that strength. I really like towatch him wrestle, so he was one
of my favorites during this match aswell. Yeah, we got a lot
of one of your favorites here,So what did you think like as far

as like Hbk's like gear because there'sa story behind that. We talked about
this. So his wrestling gear waskind of bland during this match, and
I was kind of surprised. Ithink he was wearing like some kind of
brown wrestling pants, so I wassurprised not to see his usual, like
flashy ring gear, and he hadsome cowboy boots and his hair was cut

a little bit different. So Iwas a little thrown off by his re
entrance into this match. Yeah.Well, the story behind him having those
brown pants, right, was thatI guess he was getting his previous pants
tailored and they weren't done in time. Okay, so we had to go
with those pants. It happens.We've all been there. You got to

go with their plan. B Ifyour planning is not working out, definitely.
No. Do you have any otherhighlights or anything that you enjoyed about
this match? Mostly it was RVDwrestling. I really like to see him
flying through the ring. All hisspots were pretty awesome. Him flipping off

the cage, him on top ofthe pods was one of my favorites too.
Him hopping off. I think wesee Sean Michaels also on the top
of a pod at what, Yeah, we have that. So this is
the infamous spot of RBD trying todo his frog splash onto Triple H.

What ends up happening because he doesn'thave enough clearance on this particular spot.
He just falls like a normal bodysplash, but he doesn't have any control
of it because he's not used todoing it at that height and he's used
to like extending his limbs at acertain way during his frog splash, so

he lands on Hunter's throat or nearhis like trachea area, and he actually
causes damage to him. It causesso much damage to Hunter where he can't
breathe and he can't talk for likea long while. With this particular match,

it's an issue because we have thatissue that happens where kine is released
at the wrong time, and beforethis match happened, people like to like
plot out their things. We're gonnado this, we're gonna do that,

And Hunter and Triple H had realizedan hour before the show that they were
the last two and that they hadnot done a walkthrough about to finish.
Oh, so what they end updoing before this match goes on is,
uh, you know, we'll justcall it in we'll just call it in
the ring. Okay. So theyhad no plan. And because they had

no plan, when Hunter gets histhroat hurt, he could barely communicate.
So now it's you have no typeof communication with Hunter. You just have
to go and try to figure outhow to plot the rest of this match,
not only how to audible from Cainecoming in and the spot that HBK

was supposed to come into, butalso the finale. Wow, that's tough.
Yeah, And that goes on fortwenty three minutes. This match goes
for thirty nine minutes longer well afterthis home the home run time is thirty
nine minutes. But if you're referringto like probably from from when Hunt when

it's the last three maybe where it'sjust Jericho, HBK and Hunter, maybe
that's the other twenty three minutes,because they do go a little bit longer,
even though Hunter is having issues withhis his trachy and his larynx area.
So do you think about the duration, do you think it was like
too short, too quick for thisparticular match. I think it's the right

amount of time. You have,like all these wrestlers that need to be
highlighted, you have RBD, whois always he had that trademark where he
was the whole f and show.You have Chris Jericho, who can go
the Man of one thousand and fourholes. We have Booker t the five

time, five time, five time, five time five time w c W
champion. He we got to seehim do a spinner Rooney. We have
Kane, who our previous guest.Tony is a big fan of Kane,
and this is like the prime ofKane's career, I think you could say,

because once he takes his mask off, it's all downhill for me,
and it was all downhill for Tony. And then you have Hunter, who
was a default champion at this timebecause brock Lesner had taken the WWE championship
with him to SmackDown and that's whatstarted. Like well, Raw needed its

own title, and Eric Bischoff bestowedhim Triple H the title for the Raw
brand, which was the old nW a w CW Big Goldie Belt.
So Triple H ends up winning,No TRIPLEGI ends up losing. He loses
this match. Yeah, the finalwinner, the final winner. So we

have the last three. We canpick it up from there. After RBD
gets eliminated after that frog splash thatgoes awry, Booker T gets eliminated and
King gets eliminated by a combination ofa lion salt a pedigree and sweet chim
music. We have Jericho right hereputting Triple H into the walls of Jericho,

and then he gets super kicked byHBK. In case you weren't sure
what was happening from far away,that's how that looked like. Wow,
so we to get to get aclose up here. That's the sweet chim
music, right, and so oncehe gets superkicked, that's a one two
three pinn and win or a pinnot a win yet for HBK. And

then that just leaves them to TripleH and HBK going at it. And
here's the shot of believe what youwere talking about when HBK does his uh.
Normally this is done from the topof the turnbuckle, but just so
the folks who are watching this arerewatching this along with us, can see

you could see his HBK. Heis a little bit shorter than RBD,
but he's almost touching like that curveof the top of the roof structure,
right, and he's actually standing onthe border of the pod where I believe
RBD was standing and there's like achain link roof to those right. Yeah,

there's a lot of spots stuff frombulletproof plexiglass. Not only does HPK
go through it, but also RVDor Jericho goes through it too and that
and they were not expecting that andthey end up bleeding because of that plexiglass
issue. Wow, So this isdefinitely revisit for me. I would definitely

recommend that you watch this first everelimination Chamber again at Madison Square Garden.
That's where the first WrestleMania was,right, Yeah, the mecca. We
always returned to the mecca of sportsentertainment, which is pretty cool, so
historic, nostalgic again, all theseamazing wrestlers and one match. It doesn't

get any better than this. I'mglad that we saw it. What about
you? Yeah, I was definitelyglad that we got to revisit this match.
Seeing how this match started compared towhere it is now. There are
some changes that they end up doingbecause like the chamber doesn't end up continuing

to be round. They start likemaking some changes and I forgot to get
the picture under to show you,but it ends up being squared just like
the ring. They take the gradesout and they put something that's a little
bit more forgiving from when those wrestlersare taking those bumps on the outside.
They no longer just have grades.I think they just have platforms. There

are most likely either tables or somethingthat's a little bit more reinforced to absorb
those particular moves, whether their backbody drops, body slams, or as
we saw in the women's and themen's recent elimination chamber matches, you might

get you know, I just haveto throw out there that Jericho has some
awesome MoES during this match as well, because he's flying off of ring ropes
like so many times that actually doeslike a backflip off of it, and
that was an awesome spot among many. So I just had a lot of
favorite spots during this match. Reallycool. Then, this was definitely a

match that had like a lot oflike high flying action and spots because we
have a younger Christ Jericho, wehave a younger HBK, and we have
RVD who's also younger and also inthis prime. I have to say this

is probably like one of my favoriteJericho matches that I've seen to date.
So this was pretty good to watch. I'm glad this is one that we
were able to revisit. So Ido have a question. So we just
cut up with today's SmackDown. Yeah, so spoiler alert if you all haven't
watched SmackDown yet. Mm hm.So the SmackDown Show tidbits. Since we

We're gonna be watching Raw and Marieis gonna be giving her thoughts to it
and I'm gonna be giving my thoughtsto it as I was able to watch

the forty minutes promo of the Bloodline. It was really long. I was
like, well, we were livetweeting while we were watching it, and
I was like, we're thirty minutesin and where's the wrestling? But we
weren't alone. It seems like alot of fans were also asking the same
question. They're like, where's wrestling? Not that I don't appreciate watching the

Bloodline or that I don't watch enjoyinglike watching the Rock because I think he's
been an excellent heel since he's poppedback in, and I think people are
just so excited to see him back. He didn't fail us again today.
But when did the wrestling come out? The wrestling did not commence until maybe

of it, but it was afterthe blood line had gone. The main
thing from the blood line is thatthe Rock acknowledged that Roman Reigns is his
tribal chief, which I do havean issue because they showed a PowerPoint slide

and I have to say, allthe kids call it a slide deck.
Now, so we're telling I heardabout this the other day where we're telling
O rage when we say power pointsbecause the kids call it a slide dock,
which I guess is a worse likeway of saying it. Okay,
Well, they showed a power Pointslide when they did the Las Vegas like

press conference, and even though RomanReigns tied in that PowerPoint slide was tribal
chief for the Rock, it hadthe high chief. So to me,
high chief is ranked higher than tribalchief. I would think, right,

we had another tag match with Baileythe Coda Kai versus the Kabuki Warriors,
Oscar and Carrie saying and at thispoint in time the match, Bailey is
reaching for the hot tag and theCoda is there. But at that moment
when Bailey's reaching for that final andthe Coda, Kai jumps off the apron.

It was a swerve. She betraysBailey and she is with damage control
and they all start beating down Bailey. Bailey has no help at all.
Nobody comes out there for the save. This leads me to believe that we
are probably gonna get a tag teamcome forward to help out Bailey in the

upcoming feud that she has with DamageControl. Even the odds, who that
tag team is I really can't thinkof. Maybe it could have been Indie
and Candice Lorat, but they weredispatched very easily and the tag team title
match that they had that was onthe kickoff for the Perth pay per view.

So we did see Jade Cargill inthe back interact with the Kobuki Warriors.
So maybe we get a tag teamof her and maybe Bianca. That's
always been something someone speculate, especiallythe guys over there podcast Championship Wrestling.

They will always said that maybe we'dbe able to get Bianca and Jaded the
tag team, and maybe that's howBianca not only gets to who do her
match at WrestleMania, but we alsoget her kind of build that kind of

or Macho Man were Attack Team andthen they had that blow up. They
could do something like that where eventuallyJade gets jealous or Bianca gets jealous,

Other matches we had on SmackDown,we had Brown Breaker destroy I believe
is Zion Quinn. He just spearedon like in five seconds. In the
matches over, we had the streetfight between Carlito and Santos Ascobar, which

ray Mystereo coming back. He wason crutches and he was making his way
down there and Legato, Angel Garzaand Umberto We're gonna go over there,
and it turns out that it's aruse. Ray Masterio ends up beating those

guys down with his coutches. Heends up running some interference and Carlito picks
up the win over Legal de Fantasma. And then the last match we had
was Austin Theory versus Randy Orton.For some reason, Kevin Owens was doing

commentary. Maybe discal lead to sometype of match where we get Brandy Orton
Kevin Owens against Logan Paul because RandyOrton still and my three has to get
his revenge for Logan Paul causing thema shot at a World's Heavyweight or at

the w the World's Heavyweight Championship.That was the one that was on the
line at birth against Seth rollins Bybecause if you remember, Logan Paul was
pretending to be heart and then hegot his knuckles and then he punched,
and he screwed Randy Orton from thatopportunity that he had so close to facing

Seth rollins I think it's just goingto be Logan Paul versus Randy for the
US Championship. Many have speculated thathe really that Randy really doesn't need that
title. I do agree with that, But why do you agree with them?
Well, Randy was just in acouple of matches. He faced Roman

in that match and he ends upbeating Logan Paul for that belt. I

and see if that actually happens.But as far as a one on one
match between Randy Orton and Logan Paul, it kind of really doesn't make sense.
