(00:09):
Hey, welcome, we are revisitingthe Mania WrestleMania Rewatch podcast. I'm Carlos
and I'm Maria Carlos and I aregoing to break down WrestleMania twenty six.
I'm pretty fired up, which isalso the tagline WrestleMania get all fired up.

(00:31):
I'm gonna get my thoughts, reactions, opinions as a new fan to
sports entertainment, sports entertainment that's calledwrestling. And I'm Carlos. I'm the
one that's revisiting WrestleMania twenty six tosee if go to the pumps, the
storylines, and see if the matchesfrom twenty ten still hold up for me

(00:55):
to recommend to a new person likemy wife, or to a season better
like myself, or if you shouldskip them. And if we're ready,
I feel like we need a drummer. All okay, hold on a second,

(01:15):
all right, and if we're ready, here we have Zobbie King from
The Daring Thanks for having me,Thank you very much. He's from the
Four Sides of the Ring podcast FourSizes of the Ring. Yeah, and
how long has your podcast been goingon? I think I think June we've

(01:37):
be coming up to a year.Now. Okay, so you guys are
a little bit older than our podcast. We started around maybe the third week
of July of last year. Okay, oh nice, they were getting there.
Nice. Can you tell us alittle bit more about the four sides
of the ring? Yeah? Howdid that come about? I just got

(01:57):
a phone call actually from Marcus. Our pretty much found there. He called
me one day. He knows howfresh and the wrestler we grew up together.
You know, I had plenty ofplenty of a wrestling room WrestleManias back
in the day when we were children. So you know, hit us up
and you say, yeah, Iwant to start a podcast talk about wrestling.
And because it's all every time we'retogether, it sounds like a podcast

(02:23):
anyway. You know, when we'rejust hanging out and when we start discussing
about wrestling, it's pretty much we'rejust missing the microphone in the camera.
So he was like, let's doit. I was like, I'm down.
That's awesome. Yeah, and youguys are definitely doing it. You
know, if you have it orthose who are watching or listening, definitely

(02:46):
subscribe to their podcast. It's agood time. Thanks. I appreciate that
you're welcome. We have a question, So what was your first WrestleMania experience,
like as a fan before you becamea wrestler. First WrestleMania it's so
hard. I mean, the mostmemorable for me, it's probably run Ray

(03:09):
won the title. I mean,I'm pretty sure I got I've been wrestling
wrestling since I was you know,my dad can sit me down and put
me in front of the TV.But the wrestling that always comes to mind
is probably Ray winning the title.Okay, so that's the first one that
you remember in your young mind.Okay, Now have you ever watched any

(03:30):
of the other ones like before?Oh? Yeah, plenty of wrestling.
I've been wrestling WrestleMania since my dad, you know, but it's so hard
to think there's been so many.So let's that's why I always stick to
to the Ray Mastereo. That's that'svery uh Ravestereo for me was the reason

(03:52):
why I got into professional wrestling,So that moment for me will always stick
with me. Okay, So besidesRay mysterious, did you have any other
wrestlers that you idolize? Oh yeah, Ondertaker for sure, with his streak,
Randy Orton, I think, youknow, Randy Orton is probably the
goat to me. He does nowrong in the ring, so he triple

(04:14):
As. I always like, Ifeel like Triple A's matches and wrestling is
a little underrated. Uh yeah,I mean he tells good stories no matter
who he's in there with. Imean he's not the technical, he's not
high flying. He's pretty much abrawler type wrestler. I would like to
label him as, but like he'sunderrated. And when it comes to WrestleMania,

(04:35):
right and uh what what first areyou wanting to become a professional wrestler?
Was that a wrestling moment or aparticular WrestleMania match? I know you
talk about the Master of the Ithink goes back to w c W with
the Cruiserweights. You know that thatright there. I was a big superhero

(04:59):
fan growing up, so once Isaw you know, the lootra doors and
w c WS, especially Ray,I was like, that's it. Like
to me, Ray, misterial SpiderMan. I was like, oh,
Man, like I want to whateverhe's doing, I want to do and
I'm you're doing it because we sawyou jump over the ropes. Yeah,

(05:21):
if you have if you have achance to visit Zombie King's Instagram. He
has a very great sizzle reel andyou will be amazed by what this young
man can do. I appreciate that. Thank you. As an indie talent,
do you have like if you wereto make it up to the big

(05:42):
time at WrestleMania, do you havelike a dream match that you would have
either with a current or with aformer talent current? I mean, I
will always you know, it's probablythe top top two for me right now
will probably be Ray or Randy Orton. You know, those are my goats,
So if I can get a momentwith them, that'll be awesome.

(06:06):
But that's pretty awesome. They're twopretty great wrestlers, favorite of ours for
sure. Legend killer Randy Orton stillstill going strong. So how has the
journey of being an indie wrestler livedup to your dreams and expectations so far?
Exactly exactly what you expect, maybeeven more. You know, I

(06:30):
had a pretty decent week of wrestlingthis past weekend Friday Saturday. You have
matches, of course, any typeof things that we do. We have
down periods where it's like should like, you know, keep going or is
it worth it? And all inthis, and then you have a show
like I had show yesterday, thispacked packed show, and you're like,

(06:54):
yeah, this is why I doit, and this is why I you
know, take the falls, takethe bumps, take the hits, like
it is this, you know, you go back to that Eddie Garreo old
speech. It's like a high, you know, something, something that you
can't get anywhere else. Nice. And then can you tell us a little

(07:15):
bit about where are you wrestling currently? Oh? My, My main promotion
that I pretty must call home iscalled ECPW. East Coast Professional Wrestling is
run by Gino Caruso. I meanI've been you know, all over the
place, you know, Florida,North Carolina, Virginia, yep, stuff

(07:38):
like that. But ECPW has beenmy home, okay, And how long
has that been for? I've beenwrestling. My dad got into it,
man. I was like, mydad got into it may where I was
around fourteen. I didn't start tilI was sixteen, Okay, D was

(08:03):
wrestling as well, or if youdon't mind me asking, like, what's
your dad's wrestling name? Is FrankieFlow Powerhouse? Yes? I was gonna
say I was like your last name. We won't say it here, but
I was like, I do haveuh in my family as well. They're

(08:24):
from Crazy, So it's interesting thatwe're going to be talking about Arizona today
because they're not in Arizona. FromChicago now, So very cool. Yeah.
And so then as far as whatcontinues to motivate and drive your passion

(08:45):
for wrestling the wrestling business. Iknow you talked about having that like major
crowd yesterday while you're wrestling, Butis there anything else besides like getting as
natural liber say, you know, get a little bit of the glory.
It's like, I mean, ofcourse, you know, every wrestler's dream
is to try to make it tothe top, you know, any big
promotions. So that's right, thereis always going to be motivating. But

(09:11):
you know, me personally, Ilike love to go to Japan just test
the waters down there, you know, just just showing what I gotten,
showing down one of the best.Yeah, well, we're rooting for you,
Thank you. I appreciate that.Yeah, if you got if you
ever make it out here a littlebit to the west, you let us

(09:31):
know and we'll definitely yeah right, definitely trying to get down there more.
Yeah, all right, and ifwe're ready, we're ready, we can
start off this WrestleMania twenty six outof Scottsdale or Glendale, Arizona, wherever
that new Arizona Cardinals Stadium is at. So the event took place March twenty

(09:54):
eight of twenty ten at the Universityof Phoenix Stadium now no for those who
live in the Easy State Farms Stadium. And it was the first WrestleMania with
a non title match as the mainevent. So I am excited about this.

(10:16):
I know you got that from likelike from your research, but I
think this is like the second orthird WrestleMania with that world title because we
had Bam Bam Bigelow versus Lawrence Taylorand so this would be big. I'm
not sure if it's the second orthird one. I remember there's another one,

(10:37):
but I can't think off the topof my head. So if you
got that from Wikipedia, then weneed to go into and ed. Okay,
So just to give people at whoare watching this on the video,
we have a crowd shot here,so you see how many people they managed
to pack in here. That's agood looking set. I liked that in

(11:01):
the background when people were coming out. It was kind of teared like a
pyramid. And also this was youmentioned. Maria had mentioned that she liked
the area around the stage that itwas also shaped like a pyramid. Over
seventy two people in attendance. Yeah, So did you guys watch this live
when it was on TV? Iwatched it live on pay per view.

(11:24):
I did, Okay, I rememberthis one. Yeah, I remember,
like thinking back to where I wasin twenty ten. I was like actually
excited to watch this, not onlybecause we have the streak versus the career
match, but I was looking forwardto you know, we have the money

(11:48):
in the bank. That's always abanger, yeah, to have on the
card. Just like Zombie King,I was a fan of Triple H and
here he was versus Shamus, andthen we had Brett Hart coming back for
the induction of his father into theWWE Hall of Fame. That's hard for
me because I didn't have a favoriteTriple H match until Triple H wrestled with

(12:11):
Randy Orton and who hasn't sena Yeah, the Triple that like one of my
favorite. You know, Hunter hadthat whole bad luck streak of I think
it was either from eighteen on wherehe kept booking himself before a banger match

(12:31):
like that was the Hollywood versus Rockand then he was and was right after
that. Yeah, and then hetried to give himself a cushion every time
he had a match, whether itwas like one match or two matches before
his and but it's after that,I think those matches still had drained the
emotion or like the investment of thecrowd, and they were just to me,

(12:54):
they were completely dead on some ofus, on some of our real
revisits, we had to be like, this is a good match, but
I think you should watch it withoutthe crowd, like watch it silent.
So you like, if you're afan of wrestling, like you pick up
on like the things you mentioned, like Country is more of a methodical yes,

(13:16):
and more of a powerhouse type ofwrestler. That's how and he know
and he sells pretty good, sohe knows how to make that particular face
or at times he was a face, but you know, how to make
the heat go for the heel byyou know, like selling a move and

(13:37):
having him work on that particular bodypart along those lines. Yeah, The
Ring of Psychology with Triple to whatlike we said, it's very underrated,
but his psychology to this, thiscraft is very underrated. And we see
why it's paying offer him because he'sdoing a great job. As far as

(13:58):
taking over creative from Vin. I'mgonna say it, and he like,
what is he's the he's the CEO, c CEO Creative Content Officers, something
ahead of creative for something like that. Yeah, one of those high labels
names. Right. We get thisfirst match, which is the Big Show

(14:22):
versus Oh, the Big Show andthe miss known as Show Miss Miss Yea
with our Truth making his WrestleMania debutand John Morrison, how long does this
matchical? It goes for three minutesin twenty seconds. Sure, definitely not

(14:43):
the best open it for U fora WrestleMania. No, the previous ones
we've gotten ladder money in the bankladder matches. There were a couple of
times where we didn't get it.And I understand that we need to get
the tag team to be in somelike spotlight and but at that time,

(15:05):
yeah, the previous WrestleMania they werein a dark match, well not a
dark match, but they were inthe kickoffs. Because now we don't have
kickoffs matches anymore, we have onelong hour of them trying to break it
down like it's a sporting event.Yeah, the press conference feel or mm
hmm. That's true. So Ihave a question, So, Zombie,

(15:31):
what do you think about the showmass as a tag team? I like
that. I mean I feel likea Big Show was another underrated like like
Tourist's end of his w B career. People just giving a crap. He
was like, he's a face andthen all of a sudden, here's a
heal and then back and forth.I figure because they need someone to teach

(15:54):
these young guys like timing, positioning, want to do something when not to
do something? And Big Show beenaround for years, so he was a
perfect teacher for all that. Sothat was a perfect for someone to be
in the tag team and have someoneas a Big Show like Mistress. I
think, did he won his titleyet? When he taged no not yet?

(16:17):
Right? Not yet? He's goingto get it at the next restmating
next Joe. He was like abuilding to that, and the Big Show
was a perfect teacher for him.I think I think twenty five he was
was he in twenty five? Ye? Twenty five he was in that triple
threat match, and that was oneof my favorite matches with him. So
he had moved on up. Rememberbecause in twenty four he faced Mayweather.

(16:40):
Yeah, like you said, hefinally got like a really good match.
He has underrated and we've seen him, like you said, he's been wrestling
for so long. So we've seenSlimshaw, Medium Show, Big Show,
Yeah, all the shows. Hedid a run with Jericho Toot the name
of that one. So with thisone, did you have any favorites out

(17:03):
of these two tag teams? Yeah? When you first saw this as a
young Zombie King, maybe you wereZombie Prince. But when you saw this
match, were you were rooting forthe show Miss or were you rooting for
Our Truth and John Morrison? Ithink I was getting ready to get some
plate of food or something. Itwasn't I mean because Belly was rooting for

(17:26):
her. It wasn't the best opener, but it was. It was a
nice spotlight for Tag Team. Yeah, we could tell that they got this
program cut short. We got athree minute thing. The only thing that
popped was when the show Miss showedup. What about you? I'm a
fan of all these wrestlers and Ican't pick a tag team that's a favorite,

(17:49):
and the show Miss they did havea pretty decent run. But I'm
also a fan of John Morrison andOur Truth. You know, the Awesome
Truth. Well, the Awesome Truthcomes later when he attacked teams with the
Miss. That's what I was goingto bring up, right event I prefer
that tag more than the Awesome Truth. Morrison, Yeah, especially with what

(18:15):
Our Truth has, I guess evolvedhis character too. It's you know that
whole it's kind of like, Idon't want to say, it's a bugs
Bunny Looney Tunes type of thing wherehe's like he fans like, he's like,
you know, dumb, or he'slike gearheaded, but in the end,
like luck turns around and he endsup like he might win a tag

(18:37):
team title, he might win thethree sixty five belt by accident, and
then he's like what do I donow? But you have any favorite spots
out of this match? I didhave a favorite spot. I think the
Johnny Morrison where he has like asplash where it takes him outside like John
Morrison had like, hey he hassome really like athletic moves anything. Yeah,

(19:02):
yeah, he was, well anotherguy I looked at like when I
got into wrestling, like actually doingit, like johns Morren stopped he mixed
the park Core with it. AndI was also a fan of park Core
growing up, so I was like, yeah, his his move set and
his ability definitely had a moment, right Like Parker definitely had a moment.

(19:26):
Oh yeah, definitely did Yeah, made it into the office the park Core
like you're probably able to finesse it. I was just I don't know what
I was doing, but I wasnot doing it well. So with this,
would you recommend this match? Isthis a recommended match for you?
Is this a pass? I willnot recommend this match. If I'm introducing

(19:52):
this to a fan like yourself andfor some reason we have only wrestling in
twenty six to like have as atemplate, I'd be like, you know
what, skip this match. Pleasedo not watch this match because it doesn't
do any type of justice to theperformers here. You can't get enough time,
and that's why we only get allthese spots, the spot heavy match,

(20:15):
and it's just meant to like dazzleyou and just oh and then it's
over and you're like, Okay,I think the big show Actually that a
splash on to Morrison that was prettycool too. So there were some fun
spots, but this was and thisfor me especially to an opening for a
WrestleMania So with this, this wouldbe not a recommended match for me,

(20:37):
and I'd say pass it. InJohn be King, I think I might
have jumped down early, But doyou also say, are you in agreements
with us? We're saying to skipthis match. I would skip it as
a fan, but as a worker, as a wrestling worker, I would
watch it only because what you cando with three minutes, okay? Was

(21:00):
like people say, oh, it'sonly three minutes, like they did.
They did a lot under three minutes, so it's it's using your time properly.
Yeah, that's true. I agreewith that one. Like if I
was looking at it is through hiseyes as a professional, and they're like
the booker tells you, or youonly have this a lot of time,
and then you're like, Okay, this is what we're gonna do. That's

(21:22):
it. I'm gonna highlight you,you highlight me, and then we'll go
home. I like when the BigShow holds our truth like a baby and
just shows like how strong he is. So that was pretty cool too,
very underrated when it comes to comedytoo. Yeah, I had to show
her the clip because I remember whenthe Big Show would bust out impersonations once

(21:45):
in a while and he wore thebald cap to beg as the Showster.
And so I think a lot ofpeople think they're an odd couple as a
tag team, but show them asI've been around for just a little bit,
I think that it is all backin twenty thirteen. Though me personally
was like that it almost brings backto like Sean Michaels and Diesel short guy,

(22:10):
a big guy. Yeah, there'sa good combination. In my eyes,
I was like that it was thereverse as far as like as far
as one is a veteran, youknow, Sean was the veteran, even
though Diesel had been also wrestling fora while. But in the eyes of
a w w F now e youwere he would have not we would have

(22:32):
been new. So that's that onewould have gone. But that's go ahead
this I was saying, there's TVwrestling, and like in the wrestling,
it's similar about a lot different toit. Do you want to get into
that more would be positioning, youknow, facing the hard cam time,

(22:56):
talking to the ref, making surethe ref is you know, in there
with you refuge and you know you'vegot a good refe's in there. Got
two minutes, in five minutes,in ten minutes, okay, you let's
take it home, or you know, just crowd wise and stuff. Me
personally, I think it's a tap. It harder to get that emotional contact

(23:18):
with crowds because you're so focused onthe hardcamp or independence. You have that
freewhem of you know, you don'thave to sell to this camera. You
can sell over here, you cansell to this person. You can sell
to your best friend, your grandma, or whatever the case may be.
Yeah, okay, yeah, definitely, I'm like very cool insight to stuff

(23:41):
that you know, like you don'thear about. So thank you for sharing
problem. And with this, wemove on to the triple threat match of
Randy Orton versus Ted Dbiassi Jr.Versus Cody Rhodes. Were you excited to
see Legacy is in the ring becauseI was, oh, yeah, especially

(24:03):
when I was like, I thinkthat was twenty ten. I was actually
just getting into having matches at thetime, so I was definitely like this
could be like me one day hopefullythat's awesome. So we have Legacy breaking

(24:25):
up. They have been teasing thisbreakup and adventure. Initially, from what
I was reading here, it wassupposed to be Ted Bbasse Jr. That
was supposed to be like the guythat was supposed to be Spotlight as the
face. But people were accepting Randymore as the face and getting more behind

(24:47):
him, so they ended up doingthat split that way. I think that
go ahead. I think that wasjust worth ethic when it came down to
it, and psychology in the ringand stuff like when it comes to storytelling
and psychology, Ranny Orton's top notch. Yeah, I agree. When I
think about uh DBS Junior and RandyOrton, Randy Orton just exceled on all

(25:15):
things to me. So you know, am I a fan of Randy versus
Junior? Like that's for sure? And he didn't have a long career run
right, No, not with theE I think he just got like the
standard three to four years and thenthat was it. So yeah, yeah,
I don't think he do melt outto the Legacy when that feud,

(25:38):
like I maybe sticking around a coupleof few months. M h. I
think this whole thing I think hemight have. Now we'll just go off
before we go into this match thatwent for about nine minutes. Do you
think that he would have had alonger career, like if he would have
adopted kind of like a million dollaresque gimmick like his father. That's so

(26:03):
hard. That's a fifty to fiftybecause uh, it like being being second
generation, especially when you have nameslike that. It's hard. It's it's
that fine line is how much doI not copy but imitate of the first
generation without shallowing what I'm trying todo on my own Like some people may

(26:30):
work for and some it probably couldhave worked for him and people would have
gave him that more legacy feel becauseTV, I feel like TBS was more
of a hardcore like people really knowwhat him. Like, the average fan
is not gonna be like, ohyeah, I know millon Dollar man without
actually like breaking it down to them. Like I feel like, who's what's

(26:56):
his name right now? In NXTAlex King or Brian Paul Lexus Lexus.
I feel like him trying to takethat full on gimmick on like his dad.
I feel like I hurt him. It's like stopping somewhat of it and
not completely just shallowing who you areas an individual. Yeah, I'm kind

(27:21):
of like what bron Breaker did wherehe didn't want to be known as Rick
Steiner's son. Yeah, exactly. He's another perfect example of taking little pieces
of my father without to shower melike I just don't want to be a
complete copycat. Yeah right, thatmakes sense, definitely, And so you

(27:44):
have any partaular spots or anything youwant to go into with this nine minute
match. There was a pretty awesomemoon saalt by Cody. Interesting to see
Cody with his black hair instead ofthe one that he has right now.
That was like really cool. Also, he took or in and ybs out
that looks to me like it waspretty like a high risk and that was

(28:08):
one of my favorite spots. Yeah, when he had that double draping rope
d d T. Yeah, that'sone of my favorite spots on just how
he milks that before you hits it. Yeah, like he takes the temperature
and makes the lits the hot,the crowd get hot, and just you

(28:29):
know he's mastered that over the yearswhere you just like definite. Yeah,
So with this one we start off, you know, Randy starts off hot,
you know, he starts kind oflike going back and forth with trying
to keep them the Legacy characters, the DBSC Junior and Cody Roads from ganging
up on him. Eventually, thenumbers game does end up catching up to

(28:52):
him, and like you mentioned,Jimmy King, the you know, the
draping d DT comes after Teddybass Junioractually tries to go for a pin and
that causes dissension with the the Legacymembers that still remain and once that happens,
Randy's able to pick up the pinin the wind and that's it.

(29:17):
What did you think about the screencoming down in the background, I'm just
curious. Yeah, I thought definitelyat it's like something that I don't remember,
but yeah, I don't remember thatwhen she first pointed it out,
I thought that they had brought thatparticular piece of the stage down because of

(29:41):
the money in the bank ladder andthat were just putting the briefcase on.
And then I started like, Istarted pulling pictures and I started looking at
like, no, they've been doingthis like throughout the night in particular instances
where the stage that particular TV orwhatever you board comes down him. Yeah,

(30:02):
yeah, that's interesting, pretty awesome. So with all that, and
with all these spots and with allthese amazing legendary wrestlers in the ring,
wasn't a recommended match for you?I think so because it kind of shows,
uh, at first, Randy orand very it wasn't. It was

(30:29):
two against one initially, and thenit shows how to properly fight off to
guys without making them look like abotch mhm. And then it leads up
to the whole build up of themfinally getting frustrated with each other and then
turning and then finally goes in throwthree match. So storytelling, if you
that would be a nice story andsay, hey, go back, follow

(30:52):
the story into WrestleMania and then you'llhave that match. So I recommend it.
Awesome. What about you if you'regoing like his particular background as a
wrestler and you want to show thisoff as a this is how you make
a three way type of storyline workfrom A to Z, then definitely go

(31:15):
back and rewatch it, especially ifyou're a longtime fan like us that you
know you want to see something likeif you're getting into type of like independence
or if for some reason you're you'reinto like writing scripts for wrestlers and things
like that, because we do haveI'm not sure if you're aware, but

(31:37):
we had our our friend Nate.He used to be like in an E
league, So they do create awrestlers, but it's not based on like,
you know, this is how orwhat if if Randy lost or things
like that. They create their ownwrestlers and then they go out there and
they cut promos for them, likethey're like very in sorting talent and things

(32:00):
like that. So if you're likesomeone like that particular, if you're into
into those e leagues where you createyour own wrestler, this would probably be
a good template. Yeah, Butas a fan or if I'm recommending this
to someone that is a newer fanlike my wife, unfortunately, this is
not a recommended revisit for me.What. I definitely see that though,

(32:22):
because if you if you don't know, like if this is your first time
watching a three way and you're notfollowing the story is not going to make
sense to Yeah, and I thinkyou're right, so you have good points.
This is also not a recommended matchfor me. I think the best
part of this match for me waswhen Randy r KOs DBS. So with

(32:45):
that, this is a past forme, all right, Yeah, I
mean again, I had high expectationsall three of these wrestlers, definitely fans
of was looking forward to seeing it, but it just ended up being a
pass. Right. So with thatthat, when we get with the third
match in this card, it endsup being the final time the Money in

(33:08):
the Bank Ladder Match is featured ona WrestleMania card. This match has returning
Kofi Kingston Shelton, Benjamin Christian Caine, m VP, Matt Hardy, and
then we get newer wrestlers making hisWrestleMania debut as Jack Swagger, Evan Borne

(33:36):
not the Scottish Warrior yet but DrewMcIntire and interesting see yeah, yeah Jack
Watson this the other day. Evenmy girlfriend was like, who's that?
Yeah, and then Drew he's likeand uh like Babyface and he still has

(33:57):
the long hair, but it's it'sweird, liked everything like the way Yeah,
it's like chest there too, andthen Justine definitely wow, last,
but not least, you have seenhim in a WrestleMania before, but you

(34:17):
were not aware of his name atthe time. But he was part of
the Spirit Squad. But now DolphZiggler makes his debut as Dolph Ziggler.
This is the man that you wereexcited to touch. Women want to go
see the the w W House showout in him and all those years ago.
So that's interesting there, it is. That's one of my favorite things,

(34:45):
is like even when we went touh, like you're saying that one
show that we saw in Telson theWarrior Wrestling. Yeah, just being so
close to the wrestling was pretty awesome, very interesting, very cool. I
loved all of it. So yeah, yeah, with these ten guys,
we only got this match going thirteenminutes and forty seconds. Yeah. So,

(35:06):
Maria, who were you rooting for? I'm assuming they're like a fan
of like maybe six to eight ofthese people. Yeah, Koffee, Matt
Hardy, MVP, Shelton Benjamin werejust a few of the wrestlers I was
rooting for. What about you,Zombie? I was always a Shelton Bezamin
fan. I feel like he wasan under rated wrestler. I feel like

(35:30):
he was one of those guys youcan ring with anyone and you'll get a
good match. Gooby Kingston was alsoa fan favorite with me at the time,
So yeah, those two guys probablyI was rooting for the most.
I think you're right. Shelton Benjamin'sdefinitely an underrated wrestler. We've been watching
him and these what is it theMoney in the Bank ladder matches for the

(35:53):
past few WrestleMania's at least three fourplus yea and think of and he is
just uh, he really knows howto work awesome moves, definitely like running
up a ladder, flying here andthere. He's one of my favorites so

(36:15):
life. Yeah, I definitely feelthat Shelton did not get his moment to
shine as much as he probably deservedto. I didn't get to watch his
TNA run, but I believe hedid get more time and singles run in
DNA. But one of our guys, Martin, he's a t NA pretty

(36:37):
much expert. So I'll send hima text layer and be like investments running
TNA, we have a first commenthere on our live stream from maybe one
of your co hosts here and weget a year You're, oh, yeah,
that's that's definitely one of them.Definitely, that's a New York thing.

(37:00):
I know. I used to watchwho wasn't when they were on for
a while the Breakfast Club or Ido watch Breakfast Club Williams. No,
I watched Mondy Williams too, butit was two guys I can't think of
their names. Oh this is America. When their show was on, they

(37:22):
actually started on YouTube, so Istarted watching them there. I started following
them on Twitter. I'm like, these guys are funny. Sad to say
that they're not on anymore, butthey were just super They're really good.
Nice. No, I just neededto clarify for me, and they said,
oh, hello, it's more that'sa little bit oh on guys,

(37:42):
thank you. So with this one, thinking back to twenty ten me,
I would have been a fan ofChristian. I'm still on the Christian bandwagon.
I always felt that he was thebest of the two between Edge and
Christian. Uh. It may havebeen seen differently through you know, Vince's

(38:05):
eyes and things along those lines, but there was always something about Christian that
I was just like what it wasfor me when I saw Sean Michaels when
I'm like, there's something about thisguy and I'm going to follow his career,
There's just like something just clicked withme and seeing him so and he
was attacking with Marty Dinettier. Yeah, the Rockers they wear the rock and

(38:34):
Roll Express and then they had tochange their name. But when they first
got into the E Or but yeah, it was just like something about like
especially when in the beginning, whenSean started to make that separate thing.
It's just like he brought that attitude. And I know that everyone likes to

(38:54):
credit Stone Cold as bringing in theattitude era, but I've always felt that
it was beginning with Sean. Ohyeah, definitely one. Definitely when you
were doing the DX like he wasbreaking the rules often. Yeah. So
with this thirteen minutes and forty secondmatch, we had some couple of good

(39:20):
spots. That starts off with thebig guy, Kane cleaning the house.
Why did nobody mention Kane as afavorite guys because I am not a fan
of Kine. Unfortunately, often bigguys win the ladder match. Our previous
guest, Anthony was a big KINGEfan, and unfortunately that's where I have
to draw the line. I nevergot to, especially when Kane took off

(39:44):
the mask, it was where itwas like, definitely the Undertaker's brother.
How dare you I mean brother discretion, but I definitely I do agree.
When Kane took off the mask,it kind of lost that wheeler. I
don't know, it lost a bitof little kick to it to me.
I mean they put off this storylinewhere Caine is man at the Undertaker because

(40:07):
he had burned his face and hewas disfigured. And then he takes off
his mask and he's not disfigured. He just got a one one messed up
eye. Yeah. Yeah, Ithink Kim and Ray mystereo we're probably sharing
contacts because he was also sporting thosetype of blackout Yeah. Right, so

(40:32):
there was Yeah, so we gotthe powerhouse. I think they learned from
the Last Money in the Bank laddermatch because in the previous one they had
Kane and Mark Henry, and havingtwo powerhouses in the ladder match is kind
of a little difficult there because itmakes it seem like, how can you
not have one of those two bigguys win? In my eyes? Yeah,

(40:57):
so we we brought back Caine.Kane's cleaning the house. Eventually they
all team up against Kane taking themall out here with the ladder. We
got a couple of spots here wherepeople are attempting to climb the ladder,
and here we have Drew Magantire. Here is where you were talking about,
where he's a different gear he's wearing. I believe this is the Scottish flag

(41:22):
that's on his trunks and on hiskneepads, and uh, Matt Hardey's pushing
the thing. And eventually Christian andJackswagger are making their way up the ladder.
They're fighting it off, and JackSwagger uses the briefcase as a weapon,
hits Christian off, and Jackswager wins. And I'm going to tell you

(41:46):
right now, I was not happywith this, definitely with Jack Schwager.
What do you think should have takenthe win? Then? I'm curious me
as a Christian fan, I wouldhave said Christian. I thought you would
have said I would have been madat Christian. Christians always been you can
put Christians anywhere at any time, haven't work. I would like to see

(42:09):
Shelton Besman got his his flowers.Maybe. Yeah, we've been uh,
we've been writing for Shelton menagement. We've been pounding uh for a while.
And like he's always been a solidthis anywhere. Yeah, he was the
gold standard. I think the onlything that probably hurts Shelton Besmin, it's
probably being promos. Yeah, Ithink you're right. Yeah, so what

(42:35):
about you? Did you like thatJack Swagger? And one I know you
weren't a fan well Jack Swagger becauseeventually he gets that with the people persona
a little bit later when he getsbuilt uh packaged with zeb Yeah says people
of color. I was like, what is Yeah, that makes me mad?

(42:59):
Which was that means that they weredoing their job? Like that makes
me fear of That's perfect exactly ifyou know we can get I say that
wrestlers are like, we play withpeople's emotions. Unfortunately, you know,
we try to make you feel everytype of emotion during the match. I

(43:23):
have a question we didn't ask you. Are you heel or face? Mostly?
Mostly I'm a face. I doplay heel. Sometimes it's a little
fun there playing the heel, butthat's what I always tell her, Like
I do that with my toddler.Sometimes I just play the heel and that's

(43:43):
it. You have to just gettingtheir reactive where you're like, that's that's
what you're doing your job. Atier or two, you're definitely doing your
job. The hosts agree that Sheltonwas always underrated here definitely what was I
gonna say? Sorry, guys, that's okay. So with this match,

(44:07):
uh, you were wanting Shelton towin. I would want a Christian to
win. Unfortunately Jack Swagger wins. Was that you were not rooting for Jack
Swagers anyone but Anyone Swagger. Hedidn't have enough swagger for me. So
I am always rooting for Shelton, fan of MVP, not Kane. Kane

(44:31):
could have probably just reached up andgrabbed it right because he was just super
talk. But yeah, this wasn'ta recommended match for you. I would
say recommend just this to see somesome chaos, some bodies getting thrown,

(44:51):
some cool spots like Evan Bourne.Another guy that has an amazing abilities with
his body, especially in mid air, like the shooting Star pref I think
he did like off one foot offthe ladder. Onto, I forgot Onto
who. But like little stuff likethat, people like it would be a
nice like, hey, this iswrestling, this is it. It may

(45:15):
look like a bunch of chaos, but there's an R form to it.
M M. I agree with you. Yeah, this is money in the
bank ladder match that out of thesix that we've had so far, I
would not recommend it if you're justwatching WrestleMania twenty six. This one overall,

(45:38):
out of the six that we've had, Okay, the one from when
it first started, WRESTLMINGA twenty one, I recommend that one because that was
just Shelton. He was the onlyhigh flyer guy, versatile athletic guy that
was in there. So that's theone I recommend. I think the other
one I recommended was when Kofe startsgetting added, which was I think,

(46:00):
if not twenty five, it wastwenty four where he starts coming into it
because he now we have two athleticguys that are in that match with Shelton,
because that's when Shelton I think he'seither hurt or he just misses it
for other reasons, and he comesback also in like twenty four. So

(46:21):
that's the second one I recommend. The third one would have been the one
from last year, and this onekind of like fourth. I watch it,
it's a recommended match for me,and I had a good time with
this match. We had some funspots. We randomly got to see tal
Kien and the ladder match. Youget to see young Drew, so'll watch
it. We've done worse than thirteenminutes and forty seconds. It's kind of

(46:46):
short. Yeah for all these people. That's like it doesn't feel like it
had enough time to cook. Ohlike because you you could have fit more,
like not spots, but or definitelycould have fit more. But it
didn't feel rush. Yeah, sowe get coffee, you get Matt Hardy,

(47:07):
you get and coffee. I thinkwhat coffee did They broke the latter
into sticks like you get like somewhatlittle comedy spots with it too sometimes right,
so that that takes us to ittakes us to the Hall of Fame.
Class induction was like, yeah,we got in Tonio no the main

(47:34):
guy. I think the highlight wassupposed to be Stu mm hmmm, because
it was the whole Heart family cameout for that one. Stu finally gets
his time in the sun. AndI think the was that all the way
at the end, sitting in thesuit. I think it's the announcer or
no, it might be one ofhis sons. It's hard to tell from

(47:55):
this angle. Big family. Yeah, so with this one, one of
the ones that we have here thatjust recently passed away. But looking at
this picture, I would have thoughtlike, I can't see how like mad
Dog would have looked now. ButLuna's adoptive father, mad Dog, was

(48:16):
shown one of the one of thekey highlights. If you watch his speech,
A speech is hilarious. Bob Bukerhad a very fun speech. Mister
Baseball, Yes, and the bossof mister Belvidere. If you ever watched
that show, Yeah, he was. He was in the Mister Belvidere show.

(48:38):
Zibie King, if you ever, for some reason, have not heard
of mister Velvet you have you everwatched Mister Belvidere. It's an old television
show which sounds a little familiar. But i'mout one hundred percent, so I'll
give you this premise. So BobBuker is a man. He has wife
obviously, and two kids. Theyneed a nanny and some for some random

(49:04):
reason, this British guy shows upat the door and he's like, I'm
mister Belvedere and I'm here. Soit's he's there bringing his British class to
this family. That a sorry, okay, watch yeah it ran for a
good while. How many I wantto say it's either five or six seasons

(49:25):
is a pretty long time. Anotherhighlight we had, he had a very
inspirational speech the million Dollar Man.Yeah, what has two million dollar hair?
He still has two million dollar hairstylefor you look at him. Yeah.
Always a fan of Teddy biass Ale. Zanmi King mentioned we have Antonio

(49:46):
and Oki throw money into the crowd. Yeah, he made it the speech
after speech, but had his faceon it because that would have made it.
No, I think it was actuallyreal hundred dollar bills maybe. Yeah.
And Antonio Noki the new Japan Wrestlingbounder. Here he wrestled not only

(50:10):
Hokogan but Muhammad Ali. Wow,I'm excited see Japan wrestling coming up right.
Yeah, we will be attending theNew Japan Wrestling show the Windy City
Riot on April twelfth. I mayor may not riot when we're there,
Yeah, all depending. Yeah.So if you are a subscriber of ours,

(50:30):
unfortunately you're going to be out withouta lot of new content. If
you're a subscriber of ours and youwant to you want to see us riot
comment below comments. So after thisHall of Fame, what did you think?
Were you familiar with all of thesepeople? That were featured here,

(50:53):
not not as a fan growing up, but as a rush are trying to
get his most knowledge in the business, and you need to No, I
always say, know your history.Yeah so hip hop, Yes, know

(51:14):
your history, man no where, know where everything came from. And with
this we move on to Triple Hversus Seamus the Celtic Warrior making his WrestleMania
debut. Your guy's favorite, Yes, Hunter. At this time, I

(51:34):
think he's beginning to wind down hiscareer. Isn't this is this is his
last match, isn't it? Andhe stops wrestling for a while. Wrong,
No, he just starts wrestling parttime. He just often. Yeah,
he's just like you know how theUndertaker comes. Yeah, he the
Undertaker as he also starts aging inhis career, only starts showing up for

(51:59):
like the big four events that wehad, the Big four being the Royal
Rumbo Survivor Series, Summer Slam, and WrestleMania. Okay, so well,
this match goes for twelve minutes andsix seconds. Okay, so decently.

(52:22):
Yeah, what do you think, well the average average time match? Well,
who are you rooting for? Iwas a shamous fan at the time.
I know you're a fan of Shamoustoo, So I am a fan
of Shamus. This is in hislike keel, but it's not full heel

(52:43):
seamous. He's still finding his wayaround being kind of like a heel.
But no better way to start offyour first WrestleMania debut. Definitely not than
with Hunter. He's going to getyou over as a heel. So,
but what about you, Maria,I was you were. Hasn't grown on

(53:06):
me as a fan, no,but as a worker and trying to figure
out, like, like there's peopleI like as a fan, and there's
people I like this, Like likewhen I was coming up and I was
looking on like wrestlers onto how tosell and stuff like that as a kid,

(53:29):
never like mister Perfect in my life, but as a wrestler trying to
figure out how to sell. MisterPrefect was mister Perfect like he was a
top not seller. It hopes thathe was born into the business, like
he is a fan favorite of misterPerfect, just like you. I didn't
get into being a wrestler obviously, but as we've been rewatching these WrestleManias,

(53:53):
like we mentioned to you, sincethe first one, I'd become a fan
of like if we're looking at theearly like eighties WrestleManias of Rick the Model
Martel, Yeah, he was anothergood one. Yeah, He's definitely one
that grew on me. Like Iwasn't a fan of him, Like with
me, it was like a standardmister perfect Gravican, Rick Rude, Jake

(54:16):
the Snake, things like Yeah,if I had to say someone that I've
become a fan of during that particularfirst early days of WrestleMania, it would
have been Rick Martel. Nice.Yeah, just because of the particular instances
like you like how to sell, how to get a face over, and

(54:36):
things along that line. Yeah,it's like you don't have to become a
wrestler to appreciate like like rust andwrestling. Consider all your life, Like
you're you know what's a good anda bad match? Like you know the
difference. You know who's who's agood worker, and who's who's better on
the mic? Who's you know, better in the right but not so good

(55:00):
on the mic or better on themic and not so go in the ring,
Like you what you should not what'senough in your lifetime to know all
these things by now? Yeah that'strue. I hope so Yeah, but
with this we got a great contrastin I get body appearances, yeah,

(55:22):
someone who attends the Tanning Salon andsomeone who does not know what the sun
summertime. But this is a goodmatch. It goes like Ziony King has
brought up. We gotta like lotsof back and forth. You know,
Seamous with the aggressor and the Hunteris there to put him over and things

(55:45):
like that, but as far asmaking them like a credible right to him,
we got some backbreakers during this match. And then like just when you
think Shamus is still going to begetting the uh the win, a Hunter
is actually able to pull it offby reversing his attempt of a power bomb.

(56:06):
Here he manages to shake out andhe hits the pedigree on him for
the pin in the win. Nowwhat did you think about this match?
Man? Were you happy that Seamusdid not win? No? I wasn't
because I was rooting for him.But I thought with this match it had
some decent spots. Definitely brawlers, but this wasn't a recommended match for me.

(56:30):
But I'm curious, Zombie, wasit a recommended match for you?
Yeah? Definitely, just uh,the physicality of that match. You know,
it's definitely a top noth match. We're seeing a lot more of wrestlers
not being so afraid to get morephysical and take more hits. And like

(56:52):
me personally, I like, uh, there there's three ways to work a
match, soft, snug, andhoard style. I like to work snug.
That's like you're gonna feel it,but we're not gonna kill each other
type of thing. So this isa good match for that awesome. Yeah,

(57:14):
Like he's, like you said, probably would have been classified like as
a maybe like a power match typeof thing because and it was just all
based on like taking big bumps, like you know, because Hunters and that
lifestyle works kind of like or inthat character wrestling star wars like brash,

(57:38):
more physical, and now he's facingShamus, who's obviously a little bit bigger
than him, like body wise andalso a height wise towards triple at right
now, so I might be comingover to the other side. Well,
the only thing that you probably don'thave gotten in experiences, Like to me,

(58:00):
Hunter has not had that many wrestlingmatches that have been well received as
far as us critiquing them or liketrying to recommend them, But This is
because where we've kind of narrowed yourwrestling education to just WrestleManias. You know,
there are other matches that he's had, like we did the Revisitor,

(58:22):
the first Elimination Chamber match and Definitethat had a spot where Hunter gets hurt
by RVD because RVD near lands nearhis throat. And we found out through
the research that we did that Hunterand Sean were supposed to be the last
two and they had not booked afinale in advance. They were just going

(58:47):
to call everything in the ring andhow to book it and how to finish
it. But with Hunter being hurtand not being unable to speak, now
that created a problem because you can't, you know, tell this guy,
Okay, I'm gonna throw you tothe ropes, we'll do the facebuster,
we'll do this and you know,or if he's actually gotten hurt more because

(59:10):
of a certain spot that they didtogether, you wouldn't know. So that's
why go ahead. If I hadto give you a story to go back
on Triple h and like a goodstory that you feel like you can like
him and appreciate him. It's thestory he did with Randy Orton when he

(59:36):
punts Stephanie, like that segment therewhen he did like that the new emotion
that he showed, the anger, and like, I feel like they go
like if you have to go backand watch the story and appreciate Triple eh,
go back and watch that storyline hedid. So the previous wrestling,
I think is where they had thatone match where Randy Orton was the heel

(01:00:02):
and he was punt taking. Hepunkkicked Vance a punkkick. Shane Hunter was
handcuffed to the turnbuckle at that pointand he's got a hold of Stephanie and
he I think he not only rKOs her, but he also punk kicks
her too. Yeah, it wasa good and then that Jesus get good
matches out of that story too. That's good. I will follow it because

(01:00:29):
I'm definitely interested. I'm like, bring me over to the other side.
It's been a while seeing Triple Hand his Medieval times outfits, so yeah,
yeah, King Kings. Yeah,it was like it's come a long
way. So was this recommended matchfor you? Then? Since we're our
podcast primary videos with like not thebehind the scene type of work that in

(01:00:52):
detailed the Zombie King is giving us, but primarily as us as a viewer,
us recommending it to a newer fan, to make a newer fan like
my wife, or you know, for someone like us longtime viewers of wrestling.
If I'm recommending this to make anew fan, No, just because

(01:01:14):
it's a power match without knowing likethe characters seeing it from go from why
this view started, and things likethat. Even though we get the video
packages, the video packages, it'slike a condensed thing, like a little
cel and you don't get like thewhole, like the whole reasoning, the

(01:01:37):
whole emotion that it has been builtup for the past month and a half
with them. So but if you'rea long time fan and you know you
are looking to see what feuds,or if you're a Shamus fan, this
is a good introduction for you becauseyou get to see, you know,
Shamus being brought up. You getto see, you know, why Seamus

(01:02:02):
has been like in the top ofthe company for the time that he was
there. I'm not sure if he'sstill with the company right now. Yeah,
I thought he was injured, butyeah, it's been it's been a
while. Yeah, he's gotten hegot married and then he's disappeared and then

(01:02:24):
most recently, I'm not sure ifit was by accident or because of his
particular views, but he has deletedhis Twitter account what so not all that.
Yeah, so Dame, we don'tknow exactly if he's gonna come back

(01:02:44):
or where his that's for shamous asDeale with WW he is reported to expire
in the first quarter of twenty twentyfour. Yeah, so that would have
been by the end of the lastthis month, so we had to see.
But definitely it's the definitely interesting goahead as it looks like Seamus is
teasing return and just in time forWrestleMania forty. That's from the Sportster as

(01:03:10):
of February twentieth, So I guesswe'll see. We'll have to see,
because I'll be sad to see Seamusgo. I feel like he was always
a not under used Yeah a lot. I feel like a lot of people
do appreciate Seamus and his worth ethic. Yeah, but I think to him,

(01:03:30):
go, it's just more of alittle sometimes it's a little bit of
a bad luck type of thing timing. Yeah, you know, because he
has had his opportunity to shine, whether it's been with the definitely universal title
and with the tag titles. Theyeven give him like a stable when he
had the Brownling Brutes with him andthings like that. Yeah, he had

(01:03:52):
a good brown I think like ifhe did go, I think he had
a solid run to be like tolook back and be like, yeah,
did that that's true? Yeah.So with this for me, not a
revisit for newer fans, but ifyou want to look at a match that
whether you're a Shamous or a TripleH fan, Uh, yeah, this

(01:04:14):
is one that you should probably checkout here just so you can see them
work because it's not that often wherethey get to well, especially for Shamous
since he's just starting off, butwell for Hunter to actually work with a
guy uh that's a little bit biggerthan him and you know, can actually

(01:04:35):
throw him around if you get theopportunity to do so. So true.
So I'm excited to get into thisnext match. Okay, the next match
that we have here as seem Punkversus Ray Mystereo. If Ray loses,

(01:04:56):
he has to join the Straight Edge, the Straight Edge Society. The storyline
was weird enough. This was itwasn't my favorite story line of this meant
for six minutes and thirty seconds, what a straight edge again, was he
well straight edge? He doesn't drink, he doesn't do drugs and things along

(01:05:16):
those lines. Okay, so thiswas actually one of the times that I
was a seam punk fan. Iwas not a c and punk fan when
he was like and technically e cW. But you know, when he
was presented to us as a face, there's something about seeing punk where you

(01:05:39):
look at him and I'm like,I just hate that guy. Wow,
Yeah, I totally great. Andhe has a face where You're like,
I don't know why, but Iwould like to punch you. I don't
know why. You're probably a coolguy, but you just have a face
that it's a puntable face. Yeah, it's like from step Brothers, something
about my fist. I wanted togo to your face that experience before,

(01:06:05):
Yeah, we got stuck in whatwas that when we were in Vegas?
Oh yeah, if you ever goto Vegas viewers or maybe you King,
if you haven't made it out there, it's always it's always a risk when
they get you involved in trying tosell you a time share. Yeah,

(01:06:28):
I mean we didn't sign up forone, thankfully you make money. But
we eventually got to the point wheremy mom, my wife, my wife
told the Timeshare supervisor or please donot come back again. If I see
your face here again, I'm goingto punch you in the face. I

(01:06:51):
was so mad. I have neverliked and did they talk to you?
No, though he did come hopefullycaught the message. After that one,
I was like, for some reason, this guy's face maybe so hostile.
I was like, if you don'tget out of my face right now,
there's a lot of people. Yeah, that face. So thankfully we made

(01:07:15):
it out there with that no blow, no blows, no riots. So
that's it. What did you thinkhere on this match? Cmpunk Ray Mysteria
Maria, Yeah, I mean again, Master of six one nine. I
love this little lucha. I forgethow tall he is. I think he
is five five. The man canmove and I like to see a young

(01:07:40):
CM punk. He comes from Chicago, and I like the walk out.
They look pretty cool, Serena, look Gallows come walking out with them.
I had forgotten that he got bookedwith us, Gallows and Serena. I
got that picture of the entrance here. They look pretty cool. Yeah,
I was definitely buying this whole Seampunkis my personal Lord and Savior. Yeah,

(01:08:06):
it was a good one. Itwas a good run for Sam Black.
I didn't get the whole store thebeef he had with Ray, Yeah,
I didn't get that, But wedid get cameos during the Isle reel
to catch you up on the feudfrom Aliyah, his daughter, Ray,
Mysterios and Dominic. Yeah, thisis like the second or third time we

(01:08:31):
actually get to see Dominic because theyalso showed him when they were Him and
Eddie were the Yeah. Yeah, yeah, the custody for Dominic Mysterios guardianship
that been in the business for along time. Yeah, And that's something

(01:08:51):
I was going to bring up withyou when you had mentioned the whole following
like in your father's footsteps, ifyou if he's been a professional wrestler and
things like that. And I knowthat the issue was like people not wanting
to buy Dominic as a face, well for me in particular, because I

(01:09:14):
actually had in my mind that Iwould enjoy Dominic more if he adopted the
Eddy mannerisms more because of that thatwhole custody battle storyline that set up.
Just like we said earlier, there'ssomething about Dominic where I'd like I don't
like your face. I don't likehe went from my stereos, you know,

(01:09:41):
I think he had to. I'lldefinitely be his own person. Ye
saw that. I'm definitely happy thathe went like on his own way.
Yes, but that's that's the onlything. I'm glad that, like he's
found that. You know, sometimesfor a lot of wrestlers, and you
could correct me wrong because you area wrestler. Uh, I'm not sure

(01:10:02):
if they're just like not wanting toaccept that the crowd is not wanting to
accept you as a babyface or oryou know, and maybe they just have
like those issues where like definitely theyjust want to be loved and they just
want that adoration and things on thoselines. I know, it's it's hard
because it's like you want who doesn'twant people to love them, you know

(01:10:27):
and have those cheers. But youknow, you get if you have that,
if you have the right mentality whereit's like what we mentioned before,
if you love being a heel, you could just accept people buoying you and
throwing things at you and just takingit and just you know, making something
else with it. You could dothat with me. If you guys see

(01:10:50):
us walking at WrestleMania or walking atwrestle car Yeah, bring it on if
you want, want to tell mehow was totally wrong? Just you just
leave her out of it. Youguys in Philly like to throw like frozen

(01:11:11):
snowballs and things like that. Ohyeah, true, No Philly crowd.
It's there's a dangerous crowd. Therest in front of grow sandwiches. If
you throw sandwiches at me, Imight eat one. Don't wrapped it,
don't throw it open the doort wrapmayonnaise after that. Well, getting back

(01:11:34):
to this match, Yeah, wedid like to go on a tangents in
the show. But what did youthink about this particular thing? I think
uh Ray has like it's not hishair if you haven't noticed, in this
mask it's attached to the Avatar themegimmick a on that one, Yeah,

(01:12:00):
from the movies. It had beenout a year before, but yeah,
the first one. Not too sure. Yeah, wow, but that is
inspired. He's supposed to be anavvy. I believe that's what the alien
creature is called from. So I'mnot too sure. I'm there. So

(01:12:24):
this was not a lot of timefor them to get like a full match
going on here and That is thereason why I'm going to come out and
say that I do not recommend thismatch. If this match had been given
like maybe four or five minutes more, it would have been able to you
have this feud going in here whereit's like sea and Punk has been attacking

(01:12:46):
his family personally, and so weshould have had Ray like more aggressive or
you know, at least trying tofind him a spot where he be able
to get his like come up,give see, and Punk has come up
and for trying to you know, mess with his family, and I don't

(01:13:08):
feel like it was enough time forthis match to actually breathe and give us
like the full open and closed circleof the story. Okay, same like,
I tolly agree. I don't likethe whole story to it made didn't
make no sense to me. Soas as a spot match, cool,

(01:13:28):
well that's a story match. Yeah, I agree with you. This match
definitely had a lot of good spotsin it. A fan of both wrestlers,
I like the walk out. Ithought that was pretty cool. But
this isn't a recommended match for me, which is a surprise because I like
Phil I'm a fan of him.Yeah, I love Rayma Stereo are you,

(01:13:50):
Phil. I don't know if it'sbecause his origin story starts in Chicago,
so I think i'm you know, partial to that, but yeah,
this was not a recommendment for me. Yeah, that's like the same like
the story to it made no sense. It was just like, just throw
two guys in the ring. They'reboth solid workers, Okay, they have

(01:14:13):
a problem, like he's gonna gostraight out just as a weird story.
And it's weird because like and raisedWrestleMania history, even like when he wins
the belt, his matches don't govery very long. They're always I think
the longest was like the main theonly the three way he had, what
was it probably the longest he had. Yeah, so it's that was like

(01:14:39):
and then it wasn't even one onone. They threw him in with like
another guy, so you know,so it was always weird that I guess
maybe Vince felt that he couldn't gotoo long or something. I'm not sure,
but yeah, you have a coupleof spots that you have. Yeah,
it's just a few I was ableto get pictures of so early on.

(01:15:02):
Ray tried to do a six onenine, but see him Punk catches
him, see him Punk is tryingto wear him down, and you know,
we get him like a little sleeperthings like this. I did like
seeing Punk's gear here you get thatye g I Joe, Yeah, and
then seeing Punk tries to put itall the way after softening Ray up.

(01:15:26):
Ray powers out of this uh GCSattempt and that's when he actually does the
actual six to one nine that Serenadoes not block this time, because that's
what ended up happening the first timeYea or the second time that Ray tries
to six to one nine, SerenaDeep gets in the way. This time,
Serena Deep is on the other sideof the ring, and Ray is
actually able to get the six onenine for the pinning to win for Ray.

(01:15:55):
So mysterio prevails and with this one, then straight edge for him.
No, he's free to take allthe booze and the drink. You're still
trade, Crank, I don't knowwhat's what's not trade edge line and maybe
coke for Phil if you're drink. That's it. With this match, we

(01:16:23):
move on to the long awaited revengematch for Brett the hit Man Heart.
He's back this match. Yeah,it's a no holds lumberjack match. Which
is weird. So guys, tellme what is a lumberjack match? For
those that don't know, a lumberjackmatches. You have a certain amount of

(01:16:45):
wrestlers around the ring and their dutyis to make sure you get back into
the ring. Yes, Now,depending on how the booker puts it in
here. If you're a face, sometimes they'll do if they want like the

(01:17:05):
face to prevail, they'll put nothingbut face wrestlers around them, and if
the face gets thrown out, thenthey just certainly put them back in.
But if the heel gets thrown out, then if the people around the lumberjacks
or the people around the ring thatare the lumberjacks have a personal issue with
you, then they start beating youbefore they put you back into the ring.

(01:17:27):
So there's no access. There's noone, no no access, no
plannel, no nothing like that. No, there's no blue oxes or a
couple of them. The jack matches. Ye, hit the nail and the
head on that one. Yeah.Usually you know, as a heel,
as faces, you just pit theguy up and gently put him back in
the ring respectfully. And you knowthe heels like to take their cheap shots.

(01:17:53):
But the rules is it's pretty muchsupposed to be just in the ring
match, someone falls out, don'tright back in. Yeah, and you
know, depending on how you're doingthe storyline, like if there's a particular
guy that's been trying to you know, get his revenge or you know,
some type of like chasing storyline andhe's always like escaping out of the ring

(01:18:16):
before you could get to it.This is another way to make sure that
the action stays in the ring.Definitely. Yeah, yeah, that's before
you comment here, we rarely rarelysee jumper lumberjack matches. Yeah, why
is that? I think that's it'smore it was more of a like a

(01:18:42):
old school eighties type of field matches, like more than I don't know,
I like them me personally, Ilike, I think I like doing them
more than like watching them. It'smore fun. Would you say lumber Jill?

(01:19:03):
We did have one. I thinkyou had a few Lumberjill matches.
Yeah, we had one in WrestleMania. I think it was two three years
ago or two three Wrestleming years ago. So were you guys excited to see
the Heart family out there? Whatdid you guys think about this match?
Because yeah, I did not reallycare because I'm not that familiar with the

(01:19:25):
older Hearts like Bruce and other namesthat probably would have been familiar to other
people that probably grew up watching Stampedewrestling because the Hearts were very prominent and
there since there the Heart Dungeon, were a lot of wrestlers in that time,
like went through that that training andstuff like that. But we did

(01:19:50):
get more of the newer blood wrestlerswe got, well, we did get
Naddy. But here we have Davidhart Smith who is the son of Davy
Boy Smith's a British bulldog who unfortunatelyat this time is no longer with us
because he has passed away. Ibelieve that was a heart attack. And

(01:20:13):
then we have underrated for the wrestlingfamily. I know everyone's talking about the
bloodline right now, but like theHart family was, they were deep into
wrestling. Yeah, and then wehave the heart attack that's being performed here.
That's David, that's toning up Vince. And this is Tyson TJ.
Yeah, Tyson kid Naddy's husband isgetting here in the action. There's not

(01:20:39):
much that happens. I know thatyou, Maria wanted this to happen a
little bit earlier Brett's career, butunfortunately they did have that falling out after
the Montreal' screw job that we actuallywent back to revisit as a recommendation by
our audience. Who and then youknow, after Brett leaves, he doesn't

(01:21:01):
have that much of a long wrestlingcareer. That's one of my favorite.
Yeah, he suffers like some concussionissue with Wwbert, yes, yeah,
and then he just I guess hisbelt gets wrung where he's just not able
to like work properly, so heretires, and then unfortunately he has a

(01:21:24):
motorcycle accident later on. Really Ididn't know that. Yeah, he has
a motorcycle accident. That's actually whattriggers that stroke that he has. Yeah,
so that's caused either as complications fromthe motorcycle accident or while they're operating

(01:21:45):
on him after that. So yeah, he's no longer able to take any
hard bumps. So that's what weget here, where it's primarily everyone else
doing the hard work and Vince likeputting out no type of offense at all,
taking heat that he's taking the bows. And when Vince eventually gets up,

(01:22:05):
someone gets bred a chair and hetakes a chair beat down, you
know, Yeah, and then whichwas worse, let's be down or the
original beat down after the Montreal scjob. Yeah, I think this will
definitely probably the worst one because backto that room. You know who made

(01:22:30):
him go to that room? UndertakerYou're right, made him go to the
room because I'm gonna take it.Was not happy with the whole situation.
He was like, no, youhave to go handle that, and he
made Bence McMahon go in there andgo face to face and that's when the
whole I don't know with the lefthand or right hand, but the hand

(01:22:54):
got thrown. I think bred isa lefty macked, I'm lefty. Are
you lefty too, m h that'llbe cool if you left in it.
I think he is. I thinklike when we watched that Dark Side of
the Ring things, when we're doingthat, he says that, he's like,
so I grabbed my left hand, curled it up and bam and knocked

(01:23:18):
him out like and he's like,I literally lifted him up in my punch.
Yeah. But yeah, Vince tapsout to his sharp shooter. That's
that you're showing. Yeah, that'sBroom's a guest referee that's another one of

(01:23:39):
his brothers. I'm not sure whichone, but question for you, the
Scorpion deathlock or the sharp shooter.Do you have a preference over which one
is the best method of doing thisparticular maneuver? Excellent question, Scorpi death

(01:23:59):
flock. Okay, yeah, anyany reason why because it's the same thing.
It's just it's the same thing.I think. I think when they
did. My big memory growing upwas w c W versus Monday Night Wars.
I watched. I remember very littleof w w W f like raising

(01:24:23):
ramea mister perfect, like I rememberthose guys, but show wise and sitting
down. It was w c Wfor me. So sting was like the
reason why I also watched w cW. So I watched a little more
w c W than I did broOkay, makes sense. What about you,

(01:24:45):
man? What about Scorpion flag orthe sharp Shooter? I guess the
sharp shooter just because I'm more familiarwith that, So we'll go with that
one. Moving back, my sister'ssharp shooter all day. That was her
favorite move to put on this, that was her go to, that was
her finish, that was her takehome. Okay, ah, And with

(01:25:11):
this we move on. No one'srecommending this match, right, I mean
it was the hit man and thechairman, but yeah, I was a
fan. Unless you know the historyand you do your research, you're just
gonna look at this math and belike, Okay, you're right, long
awaited, but it wasn't miss forme. And that brings us to the

(01:25:35):
next match. They were a tagteam and Edge gets hurt. He tears
his achilles, So that's what bringsthis whole view between Chris Jericho and Edge.
This match is for the World Heavyweighttitle, or as maybe some people
may know, it's the big GoldieBelt, the Big gold She has a

(01:25:58):
beautiful belt. Yeah, ten minutesand forty five seconds. Who are you
rooting for? Maria? I wasreading, well, this is tough because
I like Jericho and I like butI was rooting for Jericho. Okay,
he's running for Grumpy, Yeah, grumpy every time I see him, And
with this one, I also wouldhave been on the Christ Jericho bandwagon just

(01:26:18):
because he was coming back. He'sa heel This is before this is when
he starts bringing in like more ofthe heelish staples that we kind of see
now going forward. Was he wearingthe scarf at the time. Was he
doing the scarf a little bit later, Yeah, that's when he starts bringing

(01:26:38):
out the list and everything. Buthe brings in like these staples that we
have now with heels, where it'slike if you had long hair, you
had the short hair, now youstart wearing suits. The only one that
doesn't adhere to being a heel whilewearing a suit is Cody, which I
had. I have a big issuewith that one. We can probably touch

(01:27:00):
on that later if I remember, yeah, yeah, and then no.
So he he has this thing whereI'm just loving him as a heel.
I loved him as Lionheart Jericho backW. I loved him as the Man
of a thousand and four Holds andthe Y two Jay Jericho, and I

(01:27:25):
think that's my favorite. So it'snothing that Jericho has done up to this
run. If we're talking about inthe future, I love to think that
he does when he goes to Japanand he becomes the painmaker. Yeah,
I love that particular part. ButI think Jericho right now, at his

(01:27:48):
current runners a W has hit likea wall creatively because I was loving like
the first two years when he hadhis little run there and his little stable.
But now it's kind of like Ithink, with Kenny Omega getting hurt
and just putting a kebash on thingsand him just being on his own,

(01:28:11):
maybe eventually find something else. NoI did. I think you're You're right
on that. I think when Kennywent, I think Kenny was bringing some
life back into Jericho. And whenthat kind of went and Kenny got the
meal yea, yeah, and thatkind of hurt him, and you know,

(01:28:32):
other things and outside of wrestling don'thelp either. You know, that
whole whateverthing they're excusing him for,you know that doesn't help. But I
mean, Jericho, he's a goat, He's one of the greatest. But
right now I think he's fighting. You know, me personally, I think
he's to hang it up. Iwas trying not to be so blunted about
it, but me personally, Ithink he's at that point of his career

(01:28:56):
whereas you have nothing else to proveyou're Chris Jericho. You're Chris Jericho.
I think it's now you're kind ofjust harnishing your career. That got your
career a little bit. That makessense. Hopefully you can find some type
of creative way to reinvent himself ifhe's gonna plan on continuing. I believe

(01:29:17):
his ae W contract is coming upsoon, so and I think I like
him as a commentator. I thinkdefinitely stick with commentating. And I think
the recent thing I've read is someonehad asked him if he plans on going
back to the E and he saidhe has no plans on going back to

(01:29:40):
the w W. E he lovesbeing a a W and he's hoping to
be there for a long time inthe company he's helped building. Time will
tell me personally, I would liketo I would like to have him finish
his career with the E. Ifeel like that's where you other than w

(01:30:01):
c W, that's really where everyoneknow you from. Like that's to me,
that's your home. So I feellike, if you're going to retire,
at least retire there, gotcha.Yeah that makes sense. Strong,
Yeah, maybe have one one onemore match, like to do with sports
guys where they just signed for thatone day contract and then they're like,

(01:30:23):
yeah, just have one match. You don't have to go, you don't
have to Maybe you could come workup playing with t K and player in
the game. You up every sooften more and more, I won't be
a bad more No. I thinkhopefully Jericho is not like Greg who just
has that voice in the back ofhis head's like you can still do this,

(01:30:46):
just one more and then your body'slike, hey, Rick, I'm
like seventy four years old, pleasestart doing this to me. So I
have a question. Yes, Sothe start of this match for me is
so I'm curious. I'm like, very curious. It doesn't pick up until
after that edge kick. But whatdid you think about this match? It's

(01:31:11):
a very slow, methodical match.More, I guess storytelling, but the
story wasn't really telling for me.Like I wasn't too too behind this match,
so I wasn't too too interested match. Granted I am a fan of
both, but yeah, well yeahthere. This is like they went in

(01:31:39):
there working. They went in there, I guess, trying to sell that
Jericho superior and that edge maybe notbe fully healed from his ankle or from
his achilles. So they were workingkind of like they were trying to work
like a body part type of storywhere he's going to overcome this injury.

(01:32:00):
He is, you know, heis healthy, he is going to get
his revenge. On it, andI did not like this. Like you
mentioned, the match starts off slow, but it's supposed to be because it's
like working, working the injury andthe angle, and I don't think this

(01:32:24):
actually needed that particular like way itcould have started, you know, just
having edge just going out there andjust waiting at him, just like we
had that one match start off earlier, you know with Randy and just start
off hot where yeah, hitting peopleand hitting like at the audience. Yeah,
a little born too, So Iwas just like, Okay, I

(01:32:45):
was like, this is taking alittle bit to build up. But with
that, I'm curious, is thisa recommended match for you guys or is
this a pass? This one's definitelyfifty to fifty to me, niggause you
hand recommend it. But you canalso simply be like it's a good match

(01:33:08):
at the end of the day,but not something where I'm going to go
back and watch it two or threetimes that I will probably say you can.
But it's also a skip. Yeah, yeah, I was wrestling with
this too, Like I was like, I like this guy because they're both
great workers. Yeah, the onlyway this actually would be like, it's

(01:33:32):
not a recommended for if you wantto make a new wrestling fan out of
it, I agree, because youhave to watch from point A to point
B, and you have to actuallynot only see that Sisle reel, but
you actually have to be invested atthem when they were attack team, because
you have to go through that wholepsychology and their brother. Yeah, they
were a tack team. They werea tag team at the before Jerk,

(01:33:56):
I mean, before Edge gets hurtand that's what started this whole thing that
spat I don't remember where where they'reunified tag team titles the belts, so
they're holding both the Raw and SmackDownone. So Edge tears his achilles and
then I'm not sure if it's likeright after that or a few months after

(01:34:18):
they have to vacate the titles. But Christian, excuse me, Jericho ends
up going on these rants where he'slike, I would still be a tag
team champion if it wasn't for Edgeand his weak achilles and things like that.
Sorry, No, it's part ofbuilding up. It's part of the

(01:34:41):
cafe. But it's also like someshooting. I know, that's what I'm
saying. Yeah, I mean hedoesn't need that tack team because eventually he
does have the the World Heavyweight Championship, So uh, it's saw part of
building the storyline, building the feud. So like, I guess they had

(01:35:02):
the the timetable when Edge was comingback, so they're like, let's start
building it. We have a storylineto go with, and they went with
this, and I just feel likewhoever plotted this out with them was not
reading exactly maybe how the crowd. And it's tough because when you're pre planning

(01:35:24):
this, you know you have acertain way where you think it's going to
hit with the crowd. You alsohave to have the question as that A
good question for you is like doy'all pre planned to see which what's going
to hit with the crowd or Personally? I like the so if I'm working
on the Matt, I don't liketo go step by step. I do

(01:35:46):
period points like okay, you knowyou have an opener, you have your
shine cut off, hope spots, take home finisher. I don't like to
too much of step by step planningbecause you wrestlers tend to act it out
and not react to the moment, and once you once you start acting,

(01:36:14):
it's it's less believable. It's likeyou can tell body movements, you can
just tell, like we're like,I know what's coming next, instead of
this reacting to what happens. BecauseI always tell, like, if I'm
helping someone out, how many coolthings you've done in your life without trying
or by accident. So the moreyou try to make the spot look Christmin

(01:36:38):
clean, the less it's gonna comeout Christmin clean. Sometimes you just gotta
let certain things happen and react becausesomething like a lot of times you can
plan a spot and the spot getsmessed up, and if you're acting,
you don't know what to do.But if you're reacting, you're disreacting to
the moment that's happening, and everything'smore natural. And until the beginning of

(01:37:00):
this match looks as that they're likegoing move to move to move, just
kind of like knocking them down. And then finally towards the end is when
you're getting like the reaction part. And this is one where you just need
someone to be like, you know, the crowds that day unit, let's
just go. We'll just call itas we go along and things change.
One of my favorite reactors, Dwayne, I love the rock, I love

(01:37:26):
his like expressions and then Sean Michaels, I love the way that he reacts
to So yeah, yeah, sowith this one match, you're not recommending
it right now. Now we couldtalk about your favorite match. We could
talk about the ten Diva tag matchTeam Vicky, which has Alicia Fox,

(01:37:48):
Layla Maurice, Michelle McCool and VickyRic Guerrero versus Mickey James, Gaila,
Kelly, Beth Phoenix. Yeah.So this is the only one that I
thought was kind of like worthy ofputting up there. So we had the

(01:38:10):
divas coming down. This match thankfullygoes for three minutes. Yeah, three
minutes and twenty six seconds. Ithought it was a match I recommend a
match for you. I mean,if you're a female wrestler that loves wrestling,
of course, maybe you're a newwrestler trying to get into wrestling.

(01:38:33):
Maybe not the first one. Nodisrespect to the women wrestlers, but yeah,
yeah, they weren't doing a lot. I thought when they had the
Trish and the Mickey James match,I think it was either in nineteen or
twenty, I thought that would havebeen like, that was a great match

(01:38:54):
to me at that time, andthey actually and it was probably incidental,
but they actually had blood and theyshowed they had this one screenshot that I
put up there where Mickey as likea mouthful of blood and it was just
like very primal and very like, you know, like image that you have
not seen, like a shanking imagethat you have not seen as part of

(01:39:15):
the WWFWE version of women's wrestling. And I thought that was going to start
catapulting the women's division. But thenit kind of didn't go that way.
It kind of like regressed back.Like I'm not sure if the injuries at

(01:39:36):
that time had caused, you know, things to fall by the wayside,
because you always have to pivot dueto injuries or due to personal issues with
like contracts and things like that.Maybe. I mean, if you just
imagine you see wrestling now with women, it's definitely night and day in comparison,

(01:39:58):
definitely. I was just looking atthe like the the lineup like that.
Yeah, there's some good wrestlers stillwith the E right now. No,
but there's a lot of wrestlers thatare known to be good wrestlers.
Uh. Yeah, Maree does agood job. She's a good worker.

(01:40:18):
Kim was a great worker. Yeah, Gail Kim and Mickey James and Best
Phoenix. Yeah. I feel likethat that era you had, you had
great female wrestlers and you just wasn'tusing them properly. And what you were
doing with them is like just doit eight on eight match. It's not

(01:40:39):
really showcasing anything. Like at thattime you had some women that you can
build storylines and stuff like that, and you kind of just from them in
the eight eight women tag match.Yeah, yeah, like let's have them
wrestling on a bad or something likethat. Yeah. Yeah, you couldn't
build at least one or two storylines for that wrestling inia to showcase the

(01:41:03):
women wrestling a lot better than justlike, yeah, they just put all
the females in wondering. Yeah,so this was a past This is how
passed for me too. With that, we move on to John Cena versus
Bautista for the WWE Championship. Thismatch goes for thirteen minutes and thirty seconds.

(01:41:30):
Maria, you are a fan ofJohn Cena, Yeah, and you
are a fan of Bautista as anX tour I am a fan of him
as an actor Guardians of the Galaxythat I'm not a Shyamalan movie. I'm
not gonna I think it's called thatwas creepy. I was just talking to
my dad about that one. That'stoo long, not yet, but I'm

(01:41:54):
definitely gonna watch it. I doconsider Battista one of the best wrestler turned
actors. Like he's not like TheRock. He's only in one role,
you know, he's only playing thebadass, the hero. That's it,
John Tina. I feel like he'sjust getting stuck on that comedy roll stitch.

(01:42:16):
That's why I've been seeing him inthat he's in. I've seen Peacemaker,
but it's it's still that comedy.Like, yeah, Bautista, he's
getting I think like he's doing scarymovies, he's doing serious movies, he's
doing comedy, he's doing action,he's doing drama. He's like he's definitely

(01:42:42):
putting his hand everywhere. Mm hmm. Yeah, you're right, he definitely
is. Because even The Rock,I think he came out with that Superhero
movie and we were rooting for him, you know, like I really wanted
to, you know, wanted itto go well, but it wasn't that
great of a movie. Yeah, what was a black Black Adam? Yeah,

(01:43:03):
this is gonna be a movie.Everyone's been talking about that, that
role for him since he did thatswitch over. M Like, I thought
it was gonna be awesome. Andwe're superheroes and comics too, so we're
just like, you know, itwas okay, Yeah, must have a
build up to be I think wewe all went in with high expectations.

(01:43:28):
Yeah, and it was like, that's it, that's all we got.
So we have two Titans wrestling.Who are you rooting for? Yeah?
I think at this time, Ithink I was rooting for John Tina.
But I was always a low keynot low key, but I always like
Bautista, either face or he.I was always a fan. I like

(01:43:49):
Batista too. He's just a hugein stature, big guy. I know
he's more of like a brawler, but I think you need your brawlers with
wrestling too. Sounds looking forward tothis match? Was it all what went
well for you? I'm kind ofcurious during this match mm hmm. I

(01:44:10):
mean the pace of the match andeverything was pretty good. Just how they
work. I feel like they workwell with each other, the chemistry with
them, like it wasn't it didn'tlook like a struggle for them. To
put on a good match. Okay, for me, I was not a

(01:44:31):
fan of either of these guys.Tell us how you really fell. I'm
still unable to get on the Johnsonthe bandwagon as a wrestler. And for
Bautista, I just didn't like him. Like, all right, have you
asked if you asked one about Martinhe says he's the most overrated champion of

(01:44:56):
all time? Which one. Yeah, and when he came back for like
that rematch with Hunter, I justwould call him Bluetista. Yeah it wasn't
the best. Yeah, so thenthat whole thing will get to it.
But that whole and never made senseto me. So yeah, for this

(01:45:18):
match, I did not care andback then and I don't care now.
But like I'm not gonna like sithere and be like, don't watch this
match because I don't like these guys. I'm gonna say I don't recommend any
new fans come out and watch thismatch, Like there is there an entry

(01:45:39):
point for new fans, Yeah, because you might have seen these guys in
the movie and you're like, well, John Cena was a wrestler, Batista
was a wrestler. Maybe I shouldgo out and see why it's worth watching
this match, you know why.Maybe some guy in Hollywood was like,
I don't know about these guys, but you know, we could at least
put them in movies because they lookgood wrestling. Yeah, but this match,

(01:46:03):
like I think was maybe scripted wrongfor the match that you probably expected.
Like my wife pointed out, theseguys are big guys, They're brawl,
you know, they're it's gonna havebeen like the beginning meat of meeting
men fighting media, you know, but the matches now, Yeah, So

(01:46:28):
it's it's weird that you know thatwe got this type of beginning to a
match, and you know, wehave some spots where you figure that they
should be getting some type of crowdreaction and the crowd is just not giving
anything in particular to certain spots,Like if you're a fan that's going for

(01:46:51):
John Cena, you know, hedoes like a five knuckle shuffle off the
Tom turbuckle and you should be like, oh my god, I've never seen
that before, and you know hehad to up it up another thing,
and they should be if you're acheering for the face that you should be
getting like that pop or you're like, oh, it's not getting anything.

(01:47:11):
There's not a lot of carrying behind. I definitely see that. The only
reason I'll say for a new fanto watch it because I always consider John
Cena the Ryu or the Lou Kanglike something easy to do, Like anyone
can pick up a controller on treeFire and play with Ryu. You know,

(01:47:33):
He's a very easy character to getused to. You know, same
thing with Luke Cane and Mobo Combata very easy character to get used to.
So any I think any Johnsena's matchbecause it's so he doesn't do a
lot of moves, doesn't do alot of stuff, So I think anything
for a new fan to watch theJohn seen is very easy because it's yeah,

(01:48:00):
I don't want to call it simple, but it's simple. Yeah.
Yeah. And there's a lot ofthe same moves going back and forth with
each other. There's a lot ofbody slams, spinebusters, spinebusters. You
know again, uh Sena partstination.I'm a fan of John Cena from beginning
to now, and like you said, with his acting it is kind of

(01:48:25):
like one sided. But with thismatch, I definitely expected more. I
was like, you have these twobig guys in the ring, what are
we going to see and we've seengood matches with John Cena before. I
think we talked about that triple threat, but with this, I was like,
what is this not a recommended matchfor me? It's a pass.

(01:48:46):
Do they have technique? Are theystrong? Do they have the build?
Do they have the look? Yeah? They have all of it, But
this match for WrestleMania was kind ofboring, so I'd say passed. Yeah.
It wasn't like I said, anymatch for Johnson for a new guy,
for a new fan, Yeah,he's so simple. Maybe, but

(01:49:09):
as a fan who's been who's beenwashing wrestling path, Yeah yeah, And
with this one here if we're readyto move on, Yeah, what's the
next one? We have the Undertakerversus the Heartbreak Kid, the second match

(01:49:30):
at a WrestleMania, the Streak versusthe Career. Yeah, this match it
goes for did you guys cry?No? I think that was just you.
This match goes for close to twentyfour minutes. Yeah. Maria,
who saw this match at the lastWrestleMania and you are a fan of HB

(01:49:54):
because it was career ending, Yeah, it was monumental, like seeing Rick
Flair his career and this match madeWrestleMania twenty six. For me, it's
a recommended match hands down. Yea, not only because of the personalities.
The wrestling was really good from thestart. I think you expect nothing lost

(01:50:17):
from wrestlers like the Undertaker and SeanHBK. You know, mister WrestleMania.
This match was awesome for me,and I did cry at the end,
but there are a lot of peoplein the audience that were crying too,
So yeah, it's a It waskind of like the end of a childhood

(01:50:39):
hero if you're thinking about it forsome of these fans, especially for me,
because at that point, this iswrestling at twenty six, so I'd
been there since the beginning. Solet's got to come in here from marketIn.
If HBK would have stood retired,he would have had the best retirement
in wrestling. Yes, I thinkMartin is alluding to what happens afterwards when

(01:51:05):
he decides to unretire, because MissMcMahon is like, hey, I just
got this whole wealth of money fromthe Saudist exactly, let's go out there.
You want some Yeah, I can'tget Yokozuna. They wanted me to
bring Yokozuna. I had said thatthat he's no longer alive, so they're

(01:51:25):
like, yeah, just bring HBKthen, But yes, completely agree this
match. It's kind of similar tothe match that they had at Wrestleman twenty
five. Mm hmm. It's alittle bit of changes we get this match,
starting with the entrances so many twentyfour I actually had switched, Like

(01:51:45):
in my mind, I thought thatthat one had a regular entrance. In
twenty six, this final one hadthe one where he descends from the top
on the tack, but I hadyeah, I wanted to entrance. Yeah,
and that would have made more sensethan this one, because the Undertaker
comes out like gang Grel from underground, and this would have been the most

(01:52:09):
the part where you would have hadwould have been better to have the contrasting
entrances, But this we didn't getit. And even though that's my one
man, one of my little gripeswith this one is it's because maybe you
wanted h v KS has come outmore focused, but he still kind of
like still does his normal things andhe still has his fireworks, So it's

(01:52:32):
like I love his wrestling gear.Yeah, you have become a fan of
his wrestling gear. Throughout the WrestleManiasthat he's been with us since I think
eight WrestleMania since nineteen. No,that was a yeah. The wrestlers still
trying to replicate his old motocross bootsthat he had. There were old molocross

(01:53:00):
I think, or dirt bike bootsor something like that, and there's still
wrestlers like trying to like get themcustomized so they still look like that or
something like. So he's his inspirationis still out there, still is.
So this match, because of itscareer versus the streak, they decided to

(01:53:20):
up the ante and kind of makeit a no d Q because if you
have your career on the line, you gotta be able to throw them everything
and every anything at the other taker. So I we get like a lot
of good spots here. I likewhen they take it outside, Sean tries

(01:53:41):
to do like his like iconic moonSalt kind of from the from the apron
but undertake your catches them and theneventually he could eat tombstones, eat tombstones
the Heartbreak kid onto the mats onring side. I thought that was a
cool spot. The other spot Ienjoyed was the one where another type of

(01:54:08):
thing, but this is done onthe English announced table where it changes up
that thing. Yeah, they do, like Sean gets a little quick super
kick and then the Undertaker lies downon to the table and then he does
the flying elbow drop on him andthrough the announced table. You know what

(01:54:31):
was weird with this WrestleMania is normallylike Vince likes to throw like all these
celebrities that are attending, but wedidn't get that in this one. We
actually had to find him on ourown. Maybe it's because it's an Arizona,
but we saw behind the announcers,we saw Freddie Prince Junior, Emma

(01:54:53):
Stone hearing cocaine. It was apacked house for celebrities that yeah, I
guess it was Seth Green. There'ssomeone wearing like a little like newspaper.
It's hard to tell, but duringthat spot where I just talked to you
where it was yeah, HBK doingthe elbow drop, somebody runs up.

(01:55:15):
We're assuming a Seth queen that's wearingthis hat and he's taking up you know
camera with the big he's taking apicture with the camera for you kids that
may be watching this. People usedto have cameras. It they didn't just
yeah, this guy's using like abig, big professional camera. But there's
a celebrity that I noticed because Iam a fan of a little bit of

(01:55:39):
his movies. But Clark Duke.Do you know who Clark Duke is?
That sounds so familiar names though,Yeah, but I don't have the picture
of it. But if you everwatched The Office, like towards the end
last season, he comes out,he's Dwight Junior. Yeah, he wears
the glass. He was also inHot Tough Time Machine. He's I know

(01:56:02):
what you're talking about. I watchedThe Office. I'm a big fan of
the Office, so I'm trying toget the picture in my head. Yeah,
so that guy's in there, andI like, like, that's Clark
Duke, but I didn't know hisname, and that's Dry Junior. But
it was just fun to see becauseit's not mentioned anywhere in the telecasts and
things. So it was fun.I don't know if fo yeah, yeah,

(01:56:25):
I don't know if Hot Tough TimeMachine comes out later that year,
but it comes down in twenty ten. But yeah, it was fun to
see, like there was actual celebrities, but we actually didn't have Vince putting
them down. Our throats like wehad been getting before in the past.
Yeah, I think the hopefully Vincedidn't want to take no spotlight away from

(01:56:48):
the main event and give all thespot and attention to that because I'll retire
mat Sewn Michaels. He's yeah, like a goat, you know, there's
no argument about it. So yeah, and I think that was his mindset
at the time. They did agreat job, like even with this match

(01:57:08):
where it was kind of like paidby numbers, kind of similar to the
first match, but it still dida great job of like building that psychology
where the Undertaker does his old schooland he does the normal stuff and then
he kind of elbows a little bitand you're like injury. You're like,

(01:57:30):
yeah, he's got hurt and hedoes have leg issues. So if you're
a smart mark A fan, you'relike, is this real or is this
part of the work? Yeah, well what match? I think I can't
remember. It was the hell ofhimself? Yeah the whole time, Okay,

(01:57:58):
because I was like I could saythat being for real, tape works
wonders in the wrestling business. Soyeah, he worked that match and you're
like, is he hurt? Andthey did a great job. I'm assuming
it's part of the work because that'sthe body part that Sean's working throughout and
you're holding on as a Shawn Michaelsfan's the icon that can still go.

(01:58:18):
Yeah, like he can do itif he manages to weaken the Undertaker's leg
enough. And I like throughout thismatch we get like little callbacks throughout,
like people that Sean has wrestled throughouthis career and like people may not have
picked up on this, but hegives Kurt Angle, he takes from Kurt

(01:58:41):
Angle, and he puts the Undertakerin an ankle lock. And when they
face and he faced off with him, you know, that's a move that
Kurt Angle puts him. And heeven does the whole thing with Kurt Angle
put on him where he kind ofwraps his legs around the Undertaker's legs and
still holding on to the ankle, like like I like that particular spot.
I also like, you know,he puts him in the figure four.

(01:59:02):
He just retired Rick Flair to wrestleMainias ago and here we go. He's
you know, he's putting that anothermove that he learned along the way quote
unquote, you know to add tolike it kind of feels like he's been
preparing for this match his whole life, his whole career, and he's just

(01:59:24):
throwing everything. At the end ofeverything, he got everything he learned throughout
his career. Definitely, and that'swhat I love about this match, and
it's definitely now. The first oneis a little bit of a favorite more
to me because we get the Seanbeing Shawn, like the kacky Sewan.

(01:59:45):
He has a big entrance and thingslike that, and this one we got
a different side of Sean, likeyou know, the last you know,
Western shooter outlaw trying to go downin the Blaze's glory and uh, he
knows what and they set up thatwhole ending perfectly where he's just like telling
them, like doing that cutthroat thingafter the Undertaker Samy, like the opening

(02:00:10):
spot for that mask spot on.Yeah. So yeah, let's where we
get like this, get some pictureshere, we got the face off,
so you see the high difference. And it's always amazing to me, even
though I've watched these matches that thereare occasions when Sean actually gets the Undertaker
near like he gets someone sweech andmusic near his face a couple of times,

(02:00:33):
so it's always I'm always amazed thathe's able to do that, seeing
the high difference. And this isthe first spot like right away. It's
not like we've been watching wrestling ina while, but you know that this
isn't gonna happen like the chokes lamblike right away. Yeah, and this
is the part where I show youlike he's working leg he's got the figure

(02:00:56):
four and we got lots of sweetand music they come here. I think
this is the one want to talkabout, just a quick pop out of
nowhere. And in the end afterthe second Tombstone, Undertaker wins and Sean
Michaels has to go off into thesunset that lasts about eight years, I
think. Yeah. No aur, four time w w E champion, three

(02:01:19):
time World Have You Eight champion, two time Royal Rumble winner, first WWE
Grand Slam Champion to note, andthen our hero goes off into the sunsets.
Yes, I would rewatch this match, that's how good it was.
And like I said, I thinkthat's definitely made twenty six. Yeah,

(02:01:43):
I mean I think Bresselmania was madejust for this match, Like this whole
that whole card was just this likewe're just gonna have matches, but this
bestmance for this match, like likeyeah, like you have your titles and
all that, but this the themass they had last year with I considered
one of the probe see best matchwhat ever happened at WrestleMania, you know,

(02:02:10):
That's what I considered, Like thatmatch psychology pop is the emotional contest.
The caring for the match is liketop notch? Did it this mass?
Top that match? No, butit's hard the top you did.
You did something for the first time. It's always gonna be hard. But

(02:02:30):
did it come close? Absolutely?Mm hmm. Yeah. This is one
of the one of the few matches, uh that a that's highlighted in this
one because to me, this seemedlike a very average WrestleMania Like this seems
more like if you're a fan, like a long time fan, or if

(02:02:51):
you're someone that's actually working in theindustry, that would be more beneficial for
someone to go back and revisit. But as a as a newer fan that's
primarily like what we gear this podcastto, this isn't a very exciting WrestleMania
for anyone to revisit. M that'syeah, but that like what I wrote

(02:03:17):
to WrestleMania. We've been giving likeRaw and SmackDown tippits like where we think
that the card may be going andthings along those lines. Uh do you
want to go Oh you have anythoughts on what's been happening on Raw or
SmackDown that you want to go overwith? I mean that it's it to
me wrestlings in the Rocks words,it's cool again. You know, it's

(02:03:42):
exciting. It's starting to become unpretictable. I feel like wrestling has been very,
very partictable lately, Like you canwatch two minutes of the Math and
like you already know who's going over, you already know, you just know
everything. So right now, Ithink wrestling right now in the Rocks words
cool again, Bro and SmackDown.Yeah. The only thing I don't really

(02:04:10):
particularly like is they had announced thatthere's going to be like dis elimination like
style type of matches for this sixman like ladder tag match. I was
hoping that for the title split. My crew thinks something different, But I
like the title split. They likethey like they say, you unified it,

(02:04:33):
make it one title. Well, the thing is with that is.
I understand why it should be separatebecause it brings like another title for both
of the brands and the unified one. I always had this vision where if
you unify a title, that youshould be building the divisions for both of

(02:04:57):
those. So those tags champions shouldbe able to appear on the TV show
when it's warranted, like if Judgment. They they are primarily a raw talent,
so SmackDown should be building that particulartag more than Braw, that tag

(02:05:18):
division more just because you want themto appear more, you want them to
have more shots at it. Ithink this is, like I'm going to
be accusatory, but I think thisis just plain lazy. A couple more
guys on the car stuff like that. Yeah, so it's yeah, the

(02:05:42):
championship matches here. So far,I don't see anything else that's like building
towards anything that I would actually wantto see. Of course, we're getting
The Rock possibly on both nights, because if he ends up beating Seth and
Cody Rhodes, then the blood Linemakes their own rules in which we're all

(02:06:05):
speculating that the Rock may be aspecial guest for free if they get the
blood Line rules. Yeah. Soand then the women's championship match. We
still don't have any ideas of whenEO. Sky and Bailey are going to

(02:06:25):
be fighting. It might be Nightone, but someone has brought up something
interesting in the discord that I'm inis making Night two on Sunday a championship
Sunday where all the titles are onthe line. That particular. I don't
that right at all. Yeah, that's pretty cool. Yeah, but I

(02:06:48):
don't see anything else that might changein particular based on the way it's just
finishing up and wrapping up the card, because right now we're looking at ten
total match is the previous WrestleMania WRESMAthirty and I had fifteen matches, So
we're looking at and we have toadd like two and one night and maybe

(02:07:09):
three if we're you know, goingto be fifteen again, or maybe we
just add two matches for each nightand just say the would be like an
even fourteen coming up. So it'sgonna be interesting a couple more weeks,
I mean, right, we'll bein life life from Philly. Oh nice.
Yeah, yeah, I think acouple of I think couple our crewmembers

(02:07:30):
are going to WrestleMania. I thinklike two, they're going, Okay,
yeah, we'll have to reach outwith him. Maybe we could link up
and uh see if we can getthat one up. That fine, tmmy
King, what do you want toplug? What do you want to talk
