Speaker 1 (00:38):
Hey, thank you very much for joining us. Today we
are revisiting the Mania of WrestleMania Rewatch podcast. I'm Carlos
and I Maria and today we will be risiting WrestleMania
thirty one. Believe it or not, this one did not
have a tagline like the other WrestleMania's before it. But

(01:00):
this WrestleMania is known as the hest of the century.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Why what they call the heights of the Country.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
The reason why is because we'll have a money in
the bank cashing at this WrestleMania. So Seth Rollins, who
is the money in the Bank winner at this time,
will be cashing in. Spoiler alert for you people who
are joining us and have not watched this before, whether

(01:31):
you're a newer fan like my wife to wrestling, or
if you're looking to see where you should be starting
to watch a WrestleMania match. Yeah, so we'll be going
into that. So Seth Rollins will be cashing in his
money in the Bank contract later on in this pay
per view. Before we get into that, I'd like to

(01:54):
give a little blurb. So this podcast is primarily geared
to newer fans, but we want to be a smart
marketing training my wife, who had never watched WrestleMania and
wanted to get into wrestling because we're becoming a wrestling fan.
We were gonna attend WrestleMania forty earlier this year in Philadelphia,
and we.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Have and it was awesome.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
So I grew up in my fandom as a WW
fan just watching WrestleMania's whether it was at renting a
video or at a friend's house. So I figured that
would probably be the best way to get my wife
caught up with any of the storylines.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
And boy have I been catching up.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
So without further ado, let's get into breaking down this
pay per view match. Let's revisit so WrestleMania thirty one.
You have any tidbits I do.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
So WrestleMania thirty one is an event, of course produced
if you do not know or haven't watched us before,
you're a new tour channel at an event that's produced
by WWE. And it took place in March twenty ninth
and twenty fifteen at the Levi Stadium in San Francisco,

(03:05):
Santa Clara, California. So twenty fifteen, they say that they
were over sixty thousand and sixty seven thousand people in attendance,
and the by ray per pay perview was two hundred
and fifty nine thousand. Imagine that.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Was And I believe this is the first WrestleMania to
be shown on the WWE network. Really, Ben says partnered up?
I guess. I think it was the people that do
the I think it was the MLB network or before
it became the baseball Major League Baseball. Correct, They partnered

(03:45):
up with their technology and they brought us a video
undermand type service which was known the video as the
ww Network. And their hook line which you heard at
every like Raw, SmackDown and NXT, was that it was
nine ninety nine a.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Month, did its day, nine ninety nine a.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Month's stay nine ninety nine a month until I went
to Peacock. Oh that's part of now, it's part of
Peacock till twenty twenty six if I remember correctly.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Okay, does Netflix stream?

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Netflix will only be streaming Monday Night Raw as of
the first of this year.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Okay. So, WWE reports that this is the highest grossing
WWE event ever, drawing her a new a revenue of
twelve point six million dollars. That's a lot of money. Yeah,
that's big dollars. So do you want to talk about

(04:45):
that first match?

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Yeah, so the first match, well before I always like
to give people kind of a scope of you. I
could not find any pictures, but I liked the and
I know you were a fan of the stage here.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
I thought it was pretty awesome.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
You were especially a fan of the circle that's right there.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Well, I mean it looks like about.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Well that and the wrestling your logo that we have
could I find I don't think I got a picture
of it, but it's like a play button, okay. And
when they interviewed Vince about like the inspiration behind that
particular logo, he said, since we were in Silicon Valley
that he was inspired to make something that reminded him
that would remind people that it was held in near

(05:30):
Silicon Valley, so he kind of made it look where
it was kind of like a YouTube play button.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Fun, So that's why that logo came about all fun.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
I thought the stage was pretty exciting, amazing. The screen
behind it lent itself to everybody's introduction, which was pretty cool. Yeah.
So I thought this was pretty great, which is I'm
just curious if you were there alive. Let us know
how was your view? Did you have a good view?
Did you have anything you're obscuring your vision? Is authorn obstructing, obstructing?

(06:09):
If you had anything obstructing your vision, let us know.
We'd be interested to find out.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Also, if you were this fan that's new that I ruled,
send us an email revisiting Themania at gmail dot com.
And if this is your first visit to us and
you're like you what you're hearing or what you're seeing,
please feel free to give us a like and subscribe

(06:37):
and share on all of your platforms.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Yeah, so appreciated.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
First match, it's a ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship
that is currently held by Wade bad News Sperrit.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Well, this isn't the first ladder match that we've had
at Russelmania, but I was so exciting.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Right, so we have I already mentioned Benu Brian, he's
the defending champion. We had Dolf Ziggler, Lou Carper who
is actually getting his own title shot separate from like
being a tag team with Eric Rohan, Our Truth, Dean
Ambrose and yes, yes, yes Daniel Brian. And this match

(07:25):
goes for thirteen minutes. And forty seven is seconds.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Yeah. So, like I said, we have a seven man
ladder match for the Intercal Championship. Did you enjoy watching
and revisiting this match?

Speaker 1 (07:37):
I did. I like a few of the spots here,
Like we get this one spot where Dean Ambrose does
a topey through the ropes, and then eventually we get
John Huber or also known as Louke Carper at this
time on the w WE, doing his own type of
suicide dive.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Sides were pretty ofesome.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Yeah. We also get this one elbow drop that Dean
Ambrose decides to do outside and of course everyone's there
to catch him.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
You know what I like about a ladder match? What's
that when you're climbing to success and literally means stepping
on your competition.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Yeah, and by doing that, when Wade Bird is trying
to redeem his championship, he does these bullhammers to everyone
who's stepping in his way. He's dropping them bows and
trying to reclaim the championship. At one point in time,
Dean Ambrose tries to get up in there, but he

(08:39):
gets caught up by Luke Harper and then he gets
power bomb. You can't see it here and I wasn't
able to find a picture of it. But Dean Ambrose
and ends up getting power bomb through a ladder and
he's taking out the rest of the match. So at
the end we ended up getting a sign Coney after

(09:00):
Wade Barrett ends up getting rid of John Huber.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
It's not gushoto is a little blurri yeah yeah, And
then we get Dlph Ziggler climbing up there and then
they're doing headbutts when then eventually Daniel Bryan.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
Wins a win. Right, So who were you rooting for
out of these? Uh? I believe it was six competitors
that we have here seven? Seven? Okay, who were you
rooting for?

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Are we for getting start Us?

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Well? No, I think I mentioned start Us?

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Okay, what do you think I was rooting for?

Speaker 1 (09:36):
I'm gonna go where you were rooting for? Band? Oh
you were on the yes movement. I remember when you
had seen Wade Barrett for the first time watching over
my shoulders.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
I am a fan of ban News Barrett before this
particular seven and ladder match, I was definitely rooting for
the man himself. And of course, as you said, Daniel Brian.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
Does not disappoint in this match, he didn't, but none
of them did disappoint I thought it was a really
good match to start off the WrestleMania and I would
definitely advise you if you're listening or watching, to re
visit this match.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
It was pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Yeah. And as for me, I think in the beginning,
I was like, if I'm thinking back, when I was
watching this on pay per view, I was initially a
big way be Mark Okay, so I was really hoping
that he would continue his run.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
What company is he with now?

Speaker 1 (10:32):
No, he's still with WWE and now he's doing color
commentary for the Smikedown Crew.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
So if you were a fan of his voice, you
can listen to him do color commentary every Friday night
on Fox. That's no, we get no sponsorss, but I
like that, you know, not yet anyway, we ended up
getting Daniel losing the bell from the previous WrestleMania because

(11:03):
of an injury. So you know, Brock now has the title,
but they still see that the yes movement is very hot.
So as much as I looking at this now in
the rearview mirror, I understand and I don't have a
problem that Daniel Bryant won so if you think about it,

(11:24):
this is like his fifty WrestleMania in a row, and
he's always been involved in the title match, whether it
was the US title that he won, he had the
World Heavyweight Championship that he ended up losing to Shamus
like in seven seconds, and then he got the tag
titles the next year, he won the World's Heavyweight Champion

(11:45):
the year prior, and now here we are, he wins
the Intercontinental So he's considered what they say, a Grand
Slam champion.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
Wow, so Grand Slam champion, but.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
You still don't have any Grand Slam. So I am
on board with you as far as this match. If
you are a newer fan and are looking to get
into professional wrestling, I do recommend that you can make
some fifteen maybe seventeen minutes out of your day to

(12:20):
revisit the Ladder match because it is full of great
spots that I've highlighted here. It's full of talent that
are still wrestling to this time, whether it's Dolf Ziegler,
is his government named Nick Nemeath, Brian Danielson also still wrestling,
and we have Stardust. But I think do you know

(12:43):
him as I think he goes by some name called
the American Nightmare. Ye. So Cody Rhodes, Yeah, so our
truth is still wrestling. Dan Ambrose is also still wrestling,
but he's also known as John Mackley his So the
majority of this crew is still wrestling. So, I mean,

(13:05):
what better time to get yourself familiar with all of them.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
They're all in great shape. They all were doing great
as far as wrestling during this match. And Daniel brand
Cruz it's not the signs of the beer that matters,
it's how well you find them letters. I'll watch it.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Yeah, and then this leads us to our next match,
the second match of this card, which is Randy Orton
versus Seth Rollins. Yeah. This match goes for thirteen minutes. Yes,
this is kind of like one of those revenge matches

(13:44):
type of things, you know, Cody, I mean Cody, sorry,
Randy was initially with or allied with Seth Rollins. They
were part of the authority. They were handpicked by Triple
H and Stephanie. Yeah, who are playing the evil. We're
gonna put you down. You're not our champion, uh, you know,

(14:06):
boss type of authority figure types kind of following in
like the footsteps of events, only there's still of them, not
just one. So that match I think was a pretty
good match. What do you think, who are you rooting
for Randy or were you finally on board the seth
rolland street question.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
I'm always running for legend killer Randy or in it
was r kaotastic and I would recommend that you're visit
this match.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
Yeah, let's go through some of these pictures I pulled
for you here, So we get this face off between
Randy and look at it. This is not very often
that you get Randy sporting some red trunks normally like
some black or some leather black like Triple H type
of thing. And then we we have the security team

(15:02):
that we have with them, Jamie Noble who is still
working in the company as a road agent, like the
people who helped plan out the matches and things like that,
with the talent.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
AKA and j Security, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
And Joey Mercury who used to be part of the
tag team eminem.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
They actually looked like they were coming off the set
of Mission Impossible.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
So we get those double draping ddts off the apron.
That was a good spot. We also get this other
one that we can't have uh, Randy not do it
to Seth and he ends up getting that one in there, and.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
Seth also looked like he was ready to curb his mom.
I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
Yeah, And he does try to get that. He does
get it one time, but you know, let's get this
how hype Randy is right here after hitting that draping
DDT too.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
He brought that.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
Yeah, so you know, Seth tries to get in. Uh.
Seth tries to keep trying to hit that curve stomp,
especially after he did succeed that one time, and then
he gets like a near pinfall. So we're going here,
and this is towards the end, and this is when
he ends up getting like that. He tries to curb
stomp him and he gets launched into the air and

(16:15):
the timing and this has become like a highlight now
like for that whole year, Like this wasn't like a
match of the year worthy, but the way the time,
the way Seth launches himself up and Randy times it
just to get him down and do the RKO out
of nowhere quote unquote for the pinning the wind.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Hey do that stretch every Thursday, everyone.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
Back, there's that logo that we have right there mentioned
to you. It's kind of like YouTube like can I throw? Yeah?
So what do you think? Did you like the way
this match went? I know that you're happy that Randy
Orton wins, so all.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
Aside from the security guards being like a few NPC's
part of a video game, I thought the match was
pretty cool. I am definitely a fan of Brandy Orton's wrestling.
Both of these gentlemen are still wrestling today. I thought
it was a good match. I thought they did great
in the ring and that was pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Revisit you would revisit when you recommend Newer Fast will
also revisit this match.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
I would recommend that you revisit this match with.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Us, And as for me, I would actually recommend that
if you do, for some reason want to watch this match.
Just watched like the last five minutes of this match,
especially like the last three minutes, because that's when we
get that spot where Seth is trying to hit that
particular curbs dot move that you can no longer do

(17:46):
just due to all the concussions before we're getting Yeah. Yeah,
it ends up being a great highlight. This match, of course,
was not like match of the Year worthy or anything
like that on any lists. From what I saw, care
take care of your head people. Yeah, so I was

(18:06):
kind of rooting for uh, Seth Rollins at this time.
Was I've never been to Randy Mark, not to say
that he's not a good worker or anything like that.
He just it's there's just nothing more me where I'm like, yes,
Randy Orton, you're him, You're that guy.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
Fine, So I was kind of disappointed in it with
the matchup, but I understand because this whole pay per
view you might hear me if you're watching and you
get all the way through uh, this whole pay per
view event rewatch of this pay per view event with us,

(18:47):
you'll probably hear me say this one more time. I
feel like Randy should have probably done Seth solid solid
and lost put him over since he's the older one.
But yeah, it kind of like it's all a washed
as it ends up being later on in their career.
So you know, I wasn't sure how much at that

(19:09):
point in time where I was watching, it wasn't sure
how far Randy would continue working, and Seth was the
newer talent he was working. So that's why I had
felt this way, but not looking at it now, it's
like revisiting it with you. I'm like, this match, like,
besides the spot, there's nothing else, Like, it doesn't have

(19:30):
any type of implications later on.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
That's Victoria.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
Yeah, so that's why I don't recommend anyone to reach.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
So Randy or walks away Victoria, setting another another epic
arto to his highlight reel. I'd recommend Carlos was telling
you to watch the last few minutes of this match.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
And with that we get to a match they didn't happen. No,
that was the marriage of Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth Oh,
who we end up getting later on in this paper view.
We end up.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
Dressing as during the Halloween maybe a year or two
years ago.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
I think it was two years ago. But we're digressing
on a tangent and this we get into triple H
versus things thing.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
So we have the opportunity to meet this past.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Year it wrestle. Yeah. So this match, it goes.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
For eighteen minutes and thirty six back in.

Speaker 1 (20:33):
Yeah, So let's go ahead and get into these entrances.
So we get this entrance from Sting, but we get
like these traditional like drums and everything Japanese and everything
inspired total, which is kind of different from like how
his previous one is just like a guitar riff and
you hear bells and it's kind of like once in

(20:56):
a while, Like in WCW you had like a Metallica riff,
I think once in a while coming in to introduce things.
So to have this, you're like, whoa, this is things
first match back and we get this type of entrance.

Speaker 2 (21:10):
But at this point he I was doing how well,
Like how well.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
Was he doing in the WW He had just been
he had just appeared as Survivor Series and that's in November,
so we're looking at he had just making his first
appearance at the company for five months, but this is
like his official match, his first match. He would just
make sporadic appearances, kind of like a ghost that's haunting
Stephanie and the rest of the authority, trying to get

(21:41):
them up, like get them, get them there, come up
and type of thing. Okay, so in this match, not
to be out done, because Hunter always likes to make
sure that he gets the best of the best entrances,
we get this.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
That just makes me laugh just looking at it.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Yeah, we get this tie in of the Terminator Genesis movie.
Him boy, they probably regret that we were working. I
was not impressed. I mean I was impressed with like
how they had the eight hundreds here in the background.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
Reminiscent of a showdown of a nineties action movie.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
But this get of the Hunter hands was terrible.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
I love everything about this introduction for Hunter, very different
from the last WrestleMania that we saw, where I was
I think equally as impressed with his intro. So let's
just take a look at all the optics here, and
looks pretty awesome. Everything looks pretty cool, with the exception

(22:43):
of the gear that he is wearing. It looks like
a nightmare. I'm not sure what creative approvement, but it
looks really crazy.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
Well, you know, it just had to be Hunter. Hunter
is the last word on what it is.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
But if you loved this costume or get up or
this wrestling guard, you let us know. I would definitely
be interested and curious to find out.

Speaker 5 (23:07):
So at that, Yeah, so this is your first I
don't think you've ever seen a steam match, right, No,
so this is your first introduction to Sting.

Speaker 1 (23:18):
You see Stink come out to this entrance right here,
and what did you think, Like, were you still because
I know that I think it was either wrestling you're
thirty or twenty nine. You had actually had a match
where you were rooting for Hunter. Yeah, so is that
still the thing here?

Speaker 2 (23:37):
Where's hard because since I've met Sting and I saw
how just such a lovely person he is, I was
rooting for Sting during this match. Okay, yeah, so that's
my bias, just so everybody knows.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
And for me, I was actually rooting for Triple H
because I had not seen a lot of matches with Sting. Okay,
so at this point in time, I was like not
a very into Sting fan. I was not a Stinger.

(24:12):
That's what they would fall their fans. Yeah, okay, so
I was like like when the surfer Sting guy with
the red tail and everything like that, the beach blonde,
that's still the first thing I saw, the first thing
I saw. So I was like, no, I'm not having
this interesting. And then when he came back in WCW

(24:33):
when the nWo was there, he showed up and then
he started having like that face paint like the crow
and he looked really fall Yeah, and I still was
like no, I'm still not having it. So so this.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Match was pretty nostalgic and we're gonna keep on getting
into this match, but I would recommend that you revisited
and just like you were talking about and WO, like
if this match couldn't get any crazier, we get to
see the opportunity or we have the opportunity to see
nWo and the Generation acts.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
Yeah, and I like I like the way that they
do this, that we get to stare down between these
two guys as Triple It just doing his entrance where
he spits out his water. But I like like this
whole thing where you have kind of like two guys
who two veterans. Sting has been doing a little bit

(25:23):
longer because has been doing it I think since like
the late seventies and Hunter just you know Hunters but
a little bit younger, but not that much younger. Thing
like Sting is fifty six years old in this match,
and Hunters in like his mid forties just retired this
he did just retire. Yeah. Twenty twenty three of twenty

(25:44):
twenty three, e W had a pay per view and
he ended up winning his last match with Darby Allen.
It was a tag team match. They were the tag
team champions and they ended up winning and they vacated
the title.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
So watching your uncles fight at a family reunion, if
your uncles were wrestling icons with the player for dramatics,
they get to see them wrestle. So were you impressed
with this match?

Speaker 1 (26:09):
I was kind of impressed, especially like with this particular
spot where like you mentioned that the Generation X gets involved.
We get these little cameos. So we get Billy Gahn
who's still wrestling, Sean Waltman X Pack he's no longer wrestling,
and the road Dog right and they're doing their thing
and Sting is like, I'm not gonna have it, and

(26:30):
he cuts them off of the pass and tries and
does this crossbody splash from the top turn buckle, and
then we get Nash and Xpot fighting him because the
nWo comes to back up their own because Thing was
part of the nWo at the end of like that
run where he was part of the wolf Pack, and

(26:51):
then they end up getting the wolf Pack and the
Black and White, which is the colors we see now
together when Kevin Nash ended up giving the title the
whole by losing. To remember that Jeff Pope Doom that
I told you about where and then at the end,
unfortunately it is all for not as Triple H ends

(27:12):
up winning and beating Sting. Now, what did you think about?

Speaker 2 (27:20):
I mean, he lands a spledge hammer shot and he
secures the pen and the wind and as victorious, I
was kind of upside. I was running first thing to win,
so I was kind of surprised that Triple H was
able to secure this victory. It was very nostalgic. What

(27:44):
I recommend that you watch it, yes, for the nostalgia,
but I was disappointed that things didn't win. What about you?

Speaker 1 (27:51):
I am also on the same boat as Like, I
know I have mentioned that I'm a Triple H mark
and things like that, But to me, I'm like, we waited.
This is like Sting's first ever WWF WWE match, right,
he had never been in the company and now we're
at wrestlminga thirty one. So ever since a WrestleMania, there's

(28:14):
been thirty WrestleManias without the Sting. This is his first match,
This is his debut in w w E ring. This
is an icon that's like his one of his nicknames,
and like they introduced him is the icon and they
have him lose. So even though I was in the

(28:36):
Sting mark, I knew that him losing to Triple H
was not a good thing. I have seen like other
videos where Sting has like come to grips where he
says the same thing, where he's like, you know, this
is my first match and I love it. It is
my first WrestleMania. Like, you guys may not agree with it,
but what a hell of an introduction for me.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
That is true. You're definitely right about that, and at
the end, after the best settles.

Speaker 1 (29:02):
Yeah, so I would definitely recommend that you guys go
back and watch this match, just because you have two
veteran guys. You know, as much as I don't like
the finale, we still have two veteran guys going at it.
They're telling the story. Not only did we tell the
story of the long waiting debut of Staying, but we
also get like kind of like a little bit of

(29:23):
the closure to the Monday Night Wars because you have DX,
the prime premiere stable during the attitude area basing off
with the nWo who's a little bit older. Would take
a little bit longer to get there, but you know,
we get that face off that we always wanted as
a fan, so give me.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
So with that, we're going to revisit and Awesome, which
may have been more of a bathroom break for you
aj Lee and Page. And if you haven't watched our
movie review, please do we just publish that. I want
to say what it was? It like one to two

(30:15):
weeks ago. So aj Lee and Page go against the
Bella Twins, Free Bella and Nikki Bella. This match goes
on for six minutes and forty two seconds and it's
it's a pretty awesome match. I would revisit this match
because the wrestling is pretty awesome. I am a fan

(30:37):
of aj Lee. I am also a fan of Page.
I am a fan of the Bello Twins. I don't
know if you all have had the opportunity to watch
some of the reality TV, but I was caught up
on that and I was looking forward to seeing them
in this WrestleMania. But again rooting for a j Lee

(30:57):
and Page. So Somania thirty one. They seek good teamwork
from both sides and a little bit of craziness. Even
I like that they're able to take down even the
most synchronized of sisters. The Bellas came in with their
usual twin magic, but Ag and Page were ready with

(31:19):
their own brand of like cool, a little wild, a
little weird, which was pretty awesome for me. And after
some serios back and forth action, the TI turns when
AJ locks in a black widow on Nicki. So Nicky
didn't have a choice but to tap out faster than

(31:41):
you can say total divas. Sorry, a little bit corny,
but very true. Ag and Page they walk away victorious,
while the Ballas were left wondering if they'd accidentally signed
up for the for what kind of match. I don't
know if they thought that they be Victoria's during this match,

(32:02):
but I was definitely happy to see Page and a
j Lee. They're in their prime. They look great wrestling.
They're doing a wonderful job. They're very athletic. All their
moves are very cool. Victory. I submission with the side
of SaaS, maybe a little bit of sisterhood, and I
would say watch it. I'm wondering when Carlos gets back,

(32:24):
we'll ask them if heid revisit this match. I think
maybe for some this was time for bathroom break, but
that I'd say watch it, and with that that takes
us into the next televised match, which is match number
five with John Cena, and he wrestled with no other

(32:47):
than Russif with Lana, so this is a singles match
for the WWE United States Championship. This match went on
for fourteen minutes and thirty one seconds. And if you
have not, I was actually able to catch up with
a show, The Shannon Sharp Show where he interviews John Cena,

(33:12):
and if you haven't had a chance to watch it,
I would definitely recommend that you do watch it. It
was a really great watch, and I think the interview
itself was over an hour. We get to see an
inside look into John Cena, so we know that he
is a wrestler, and we know that he's an actor,

(33:35):
and he's definitely played in a variety of movies. Also
these small spots that he's played in, but overall, he's
he's really done well and he's really successful. So if
you have a chance and an opportunity, you should definitely
catch at interview. I was really impressed with all the

(33:58):
things he was talking about the way he talked about
the way he was raised and growing up and talking
about John Cena and sharpshow and how good of a
watch it was. But you have a chance to watch it,
And just to throwback, I did discuss the Belotans. Okay,

(34:18):
so just for those listening and those watching, would you
recommend it?

Speaker 1 (34:23):
No, I would not recommend this match, That's what I said.

Speaker 2 (34:30):
I thought it would be more of a bathroom break
for you. I was for me.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
There was a revisit for you. Okay, sure you'll be
able to tell me a little bit later on why.
But looking get into it, so like Nikki is coming
out aggressive because now she's the Woman's champion, she's a
devas champion. Actually that's what it's called. But this whole

(34:54):
thing just, you know, just a combination and the tag
matche of Page and aj Lee, the former DUS champions
and how they lost about you know, they can never
decide on who should go for the title. And I
think the way this is going is because maybe they
were trying to, like Vince and the w W were

(35:16):
trying to resign aj but with the issues that AJ's husband,
who we know is Phil, was hamming with the company,
and then aj Lee was also handing like injury issues
that she had. I think she actually had won the
belt once and then vacated it, right, and then that's

(35:38):
I think that's when Nicki wins and one of the
times because they ended up training like the belt between
them three Nikki Page and aj for like this whole year.
So and then you know, and then we have Brie
who Bri is known more for like injurying people, but
this is one of the things where she actually does correctly.

(36:00):
She pretty much does this drug kick and Soirea is
ready for her and she's ready to take that bump.
But I heard you mentioned that, you know, the whole
thing with John Tena. This is like actually when Nicki
is kind of getting like a little bit better as
a wrestler, right, So Nicki's going out here trying to
do like actual moves. We have these things called the

(36:21):
rack attack that she actually does pretty good in order
to Yeah, and we know that Johnsena likes to lift,
so if anything is you know that Nicole is picking up,
it's on a lift. But they in this match, you
get like the perfect psychology. And I can see why

(36:42):
you recommended this match because like the match ecology is there.
You have these two women, they're twins, they know what
to do, you know, suppose he's they've been doing it
since the Womb or whatever from what the King and
everyone else is trying to work here, you know, but
they do the with the classic the Heels. They're gonna

(37:02):
cut off one particular face, which is Page. They're not
gonna get aj Lee involved until Page starts fighting back
and she's gonna make that one tag. And eventually we
get the hot Tag with aj and she's coming out
fighting and so much that she ends up getting the
tap out here what she's putting in her Black Widow finisher,

(37:28):
and she ends up getting the win for her team,
and this is like the second to last match she has.
After this, they have one more kind of rematch, same
tag team match the Bellas versus A J and Page
on the following Monday Night Raw after Mania, and then
after that she retired and we haven't heard her seen

(37:49):
her since unless you are a fan of Heels. She
was in the second season of Heels as one of
the extra talent that they get in here to do
one of their pay per views. But for me in
that for you, no, because there's like plenty of matches
that you can revisit that involves aj Lee that involves

(38:11):
I can't think of one for Nikki, but what page
you have that whole like not only few that she
ends up having with like the Four Horsewomen, whether it's
Charlotte and things like that. But she still has a
great career head of her. So do I recommend this

(38:32):
match to a newer fan to re visit? No?

Speaker 2 (38:35):
No, do you recommend the next match?

Speaker 1 (38:37):
Well, we have to get to the next the Hall
of Fame class of twenty fifteen, and this class in
we end up getting various wrestlers that you may know,
some that you may not know. Yeah, so we end
up getting the first one here on the left is

(38:59):
Rakish She who is no, we've seen him in the
WrestleMania before Rikishi as the Sultan and when he first appeared,
and then we ended up getting them later on in
his career. And then we get a Lundra Blaze, who

(39:23):
you know I believe that was from WrestleMania tenth. And
she comes back and during her speech she ends up
bringing back the title that she dumped when she left
w w F. When she joined w CW, she dumped
the Women's Championship in the trash can and during her

(39:44):
speech at the Hall of Fame. She ends up dragging
it back out and saying that she didn't get rid
of it. After all. We got the Bushwickers in here,
Luke and Butch, where one of them is in a
very bad shape, and I believe he is no longer
with us. I believe that's Luke. And then we have

(40:06):
Landy Poffo, brother of Randy Poffo, who's also known as
Ryandy Macho Man Savage, getting his non into the Hall
of Fame class in the middle. We do not see
him because he comes out a little bit and you
don't see his name there. But we have the Governator

(40:26):
Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
Which I don't know if you know this. Maybe you do,
but I'm actually a huge fan of him. Yeah, I
am aware that you are a big fan of Arnold
schwarz I listen to a few of his audio bugs.
If you have not followed him on Twitter, follow him
on Twitter. We also know that he was the governator
of California, but look him up if you are not

(40:50):
familiar with his trajectory as a child. He comes from
very humble beginnings and if there's anyone's to say that
you know the the American Dream. He's he's loved it.
He's loving it, and he's worked his way, you.

Speaker 1 (41:11):
Know, from painting houses, doing roofs.

Speaker 2 (41:14):
Painting houses doing roofs. Some of my favorite stories are
him of him joining the gym and then the other
people that are in the gym giving him basic things
like dishes and stuff like that to help him along.
So I just love his story. Uh, you know, I
know the affair and all that stuff. I hear you

(41:40):
the Internet. I hear the Internet. I can appreciate, you know,
the whole situation. But outside of that, as far as
a person that he is, I definitely appreciate his story.
Definitely A big fan of him. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (41:54):
And then further down here we have Larry's Abisco that
was involved into the w W Hall of Fame. Tsumi Fujinami, yeah,
I'm also familiar with and he was a big start

(42:15):
in Japan obviously. And then we have here Ricky the
Dragons Steam.

Speaker 2 (42:22):
Which can still during his last wrestling days, could still
go so fans. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (42:30):
But the other one, I'm sorry, the other one that
was got a little bit ahead of my notes. But
the other guy that's in here is the father of
Connor the crusher. I'm gonna butcher his name, but we're
not gonna go ahead and go in there. Ricky. She

(42:51):
came out with yes when he did his w W speech, right,
and they did a dance and there's kids along with
so so. But the guy who's here is the father
of Connor, who we have this thing called Connor's Cure,

(43:13):
which is a charity foundation that H Triple H and
Stephanie had created to do land profit organization for pediatric
cancer research. And this particular one is, uh, I'm probably
gonna butcher it, but it's like a medulla colostoma or

(43:37):
something like a Longdulla love blastoma, which is a rare
brain and spinal cord tumor which Connor the one they
had last year highlighted in the up passing and he
receives the Warrior Award. So that's why his father's up there. Sorry,
Breaking the Dragon was in this paper you, but not

(44:00):
in this picture. After Daniel Bryant had won the Intercontinental Champion,
we had like a vignette of superstars who had won
it before. So that's where I had got my circuits
crossed on them.

Speaker 2 (44:14):
It's another great Hall.

Speaker 1 (44:16):
Of Fame where you mostly knew everybody.

Speaker 2 (44:21):
Impression.

Speaker 1 (44:23):
I can't no. And with that we move on to
the next match on the card. So we have Russe
versus John Cena. He's back John Cena for the US

(44:48):
the United States Championship.

Speaker 2 (44:49):
You can't see him.

Speaker 1 (44:51):
No, So who was Ruster fighting? This match goes for
fourteen minutes and thirty one seconds. Really, I know you're
out of John Cena. Were you still rooting for him
or were you going for Russa?

Speaker 2 (45:05):
I am rooting for John Cena. So that day he
was talking about retiring, and I'm looking forward to his
retirement because it's put in the time. And I just
went off on a tangent earlier about John Cena.

Speaker 1 (45:17):
You had to vamp because I had to go and
take care of some business. Some business.

Speaker 2 (45:24):
Yeah, So I was definitely rooting for John Cena. And
what did you think about this match?

Speaker 1 (45:31):
I was not rooting for John Cena, just like the
rest of the crowd. If you watched this pay per
view back and you wanted to revisit this match, and
if you're looking into doing that, you'll hear what I
think the crowds that have been doing for like the
past three or four pay per views since John Tina
has been facing has been facing off with the Rock

(45:53):
from those back to back WrestleManias twenty eight and twenty nine.

Speaker 2 (45:56):
John Cena much like myself as a phantom hip hop.

Speaker 1 (46:00):
Yeah, so yeah, I was rooting for John Cena, and
I mean I was not rooting for Johnson. I was
rooting for roussel And even looking back in here, I
was still a fan of Roussev. Like he was like
undefeated in this whole main event, like a main roster
run of the ww Like by main roster, I mean

(46:24):
like because sometimes people run in through like n XT
and they have losses here and there. That's what I
mean by like his main roster run up to this point,
he had suffered no defeats. He's the United States Champions
talking about so and like obviously Vince felt the same
way of pushing Roussev, Like he gets Russeve a tank

(46:48):
to come out here with and let me show you
an album. He's right here, he's riding this tank. Yes,
he's out here with the Russian flag, but it's not
like the traditional Russian flag that we know where it's
like red yellow, yellow.

Speaker 2 (47:05):
Stars wrestling, Yeah, wrestling trunk.

Speaker 1 (47:11):
Yeah, so we have that out there and we have
like this John Cena match that we have. We have
another entrance, but it's not like one of those like
memorable entrances unless you think about how long this is.
This this thing, this entrance is like video. It starts
off with Ronald Reagan doing the speech and this goes

(47:33):
for like six minutes. They use the introduction alone. This
match does not get started when when you get like
the russive introduction. Yeah, but I'm just saying it's like
it takes twelve minutes before the match gets started from
the russev entrance to the John Cena entrance. So if

(47:53):
you do not want to watch these entrances, which I
think you should, at least watch the russ one because
it's pretty cool. Don't watch the John Cena video unless
you're like really hard for like America, then you can
watch that one. If there's like anything that Vince does
correctly is how to put together a package of American patriotism.

Speaker 2 (48:16):
The theaters, not the haters. It comes out with his
very glamorous South Swana.

Speaker 1 (48:24):
Yes, what do you have.

Speaker 2 (48:28):
That? They she looks like she popped out of a magazine.

Speaker 1 (48:31):
Well, yeah, she is a model. She wasn't, she's an actress,
but like in very limited movies, she has been and
she yeah, she launches her shoe. We'll get to that.
But she was in those one of those movies where
they sing a capella with that one girl.

Speaker 2 (48:52):
I'm not quite sure. But John Cena comes out ready
to defend America, apple Pie and everything in between. He
didn't have a tank, but the power, with the power
of hustle, loyalty and respect on his side. Who needs one.

Speaker 1 (49:09):
And those movies were called perfect pitch perfect, where there
is what, yeah, like this lockup where Rusif is coming
out strong and he's taking it to John Cena. John
Cena does not know what's coming for him. It's rusive
and it's rusive.

Speaker 2 (49:30):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (49:30):
I wanted to point out this one because in the
beginning we get, yeah, the announcer here, she's called Eden,
but this is a Brandy Rhodes. Well she's not Roads
at this time. I don't think they're married yet, but
she ends up the spouse of Cody Roads.

Speaker 2 (49:48):
This is twenty fifteen.

Speaker 1 (49:50):
This is twenty fifteen.

Speaker 2 (49:51):
Yes, we're taking you back in a time machine, much
like the show that we're watching.

Speaker 1 (49:54):
Yeah, so now I skipped them. Russive also coming out
on the offensive and hits him and he's out here
wrestling barefoot. Yeah, when they can't find shoes or in
some terms like when it came to Velvet McIntyre and.

Speaker 2 (50:21):
Like my dad, my dad said earlier, you gonna let
them pause for you. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (50:28):
Kevin von Eric was still alive. Oh yeah, you know
you had these wrestlers. Well one I think Velvet said
that even though she had her shoes stolen as a prank,
and she just went out there and wrestled barefoot, the guy.

Speaker 2 (50:45):
That ran where they stole her shoes, and he wore
one big one, one little one, and he won the race.

Speaker 1 (50:54):
She went out there and wrestled, And that's rumored that
that also happened to Kevan Area and they just never
wanted to admit it. So he's like, yeah, I just
prefer wrestling barefoot. That's interesting. So here we get the
russ finally getting John Cena, and this accolade.

Speaker 2 (51:14):
Is trying to crush him like a can of soda.

Speaker 1 (51:16):
There's Lana who Evince had him, had her model her
look after Brigitte Nelson.

Speaker 2 (51:31):
Lived alive, so.

Speaker 1 (51:35):
Brigitte is the inspiration for this from Rocky four, So
that's the whole thing here. Yeah. So once John Cena
gets control now he starts putting ROUSSEV and the st
a And this is where Lana starts to try to
pay her dues as as a valet, and she starts

(52:01):
throwing her shoe at John Cena, which eventually gets their attention.
And while John Cena is distracted, Russef tries to take
advantage and eventually it backfires and russ himself and she
takes a tumble here and that leads to AA.

Speaker 2 (52:22):
Which an attitude adjustment.

Speaker 1 (52:25):
Yeah, Ruseph ends up losing and John Cena is the
United States champion. So would you recommend that people go
back and revisit this match or what?

Speaker 2 (52:39):
I recommend that everyone take a look back and watch
one of the most patriotic people I'll be United States
but ever wore George.

Speaker 1 (52:51):
Would you yeah?

Speaker 2 (52:53):
Watch it?

Speaker 1 (52:54):
Okay? As for me, I have an issue with this
particular match, just like every Johnsena match that I've had
an issue with to this point. It's just, you know,
you get more of the same thing. It's like a
paint by numbers type of thing where you know John Cena,

(53:16):
he has his moves, John Cena is down, well Johnsena
ever come back and he makes us come back. It's like,
you know, plug and play type of thing, and the
thing I didn't like and a lot of like wrestling
articles or like wrestling like both message boards and things

(53:39):
like that, Like without rust of losing this match, we
wouldn't get more classic matches that John Cena has on
SmackDown as he's having like this open challenge. Well I
didn't take a look at it because I wasn't watching SmackDown,
but apparently we get like this whole run where John

(54:01):
Tena is like the greatest United States Champion and it
brings prestige back to this title. But as for me,
just considering like the way Russep's career goes, I kind
of would have liked for him to win, but he
does end up getting more like chances at a heavyweight
championship title, so like, but at the time I wanted

(54:24):
Russif to win. But like, does it do anything to
me where it makes this match for me to go
out and recommend this match? No, you wouldn't recommend that.
I would not recommend this match you would not recommend it.
I would say watch it. Yeah, fourteen minutes, thirty one seconds.
We really only have seven matches during this trust media

(54:47):
and you can't see me.

Speaker 2 (54:52):
Yeah, and you can hear me.

Speaker 1 (54:55):
Yeah. And with this we get like a little vignette
or like little thing here as we are going and
cruising down here.

Speaker 2 (55:03):
This is pretty long to me.

Speaker 1 (55:05):
Yeah. So Stephanie and Hunter come out here to give
us the attendants and the attendance number here, which is,
according to them, seventy six, nine hundred and seventy six people.

Speaker 2 (55:19):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (55:21):
Yeah. And they look very pleased with themselves. And they're
out here, you know, patting themselves on the back and saying,
how you know, Triple H's over there bragging about how
he beats Sting and how he's a superior wrestler. And
we never inspect We did not expect it, and I

(55:42):
don't think any of the rumor mill did too. And
we got an appearance by the Rock. The Rock is back.
This is what his fourth WrestleMania in a role that
he appears. Yes, and I'm sure you were.

Speaker 2 (55:59):
I was, but I think I'm boring.

Speaker 1 (56:01):
It did get a little bit long, this segment goes
for like twenty something minutes long. Yeah, so, but this
is all kind of I believe, just like like a
preview or a feeler by Vince to see if we

(56:21):
can do anything with this particular lady, Ronda Rousey, who's
the UFC champion Women's bantom Weight. I believe. Okay, And
right here we actually have a current talent that's wrestling
here still with the company. She's right there in between
the Rock and Ronda. Her name is SHANEA. Basler, so

(56:46):
she is still doing it. If you happen to rewatch
this match throughout the times here, I think it's like
three or in the audience three or four times when
they cut to Ronda, she actually had her version of
the Four horse Women. It's not only Shana Basler that
you see there, but you see other women that she

(57:08):
ends up coming up with. Her name is Jessamine Duke
and then the other one is Marina Schaffrier. So we
don't see them in this picture, but in the end
Ronda gets called up because Stephanie is insulting the Rock
making some things, and the Rock's like, well, I'm not

(57:30):
one that's gonna a woman.

Speaker 2 (57:34):
She do you remember beyond the crowd. Yeah, he's like,
you don't own us, You definitely don't own me.

Speaker 1 (57:43):
And he said that the twenty Yeah, he said that
he couldn't hit a woman, but he had a friend
and the audience that would And that's when he comes
to go get Rhonda. Yeah, Ronda comes out there and uh,
Triple Ah says that direction say another word, and he's like,
you know what, You're right, I'm not going to say

(58:04):
another word and he begins to lay the smeck down
on Trivile H. Triple H takes a couple of punches
and then while he's stumbling and trying to get back out,
after Randa takes care of Stephanie, Paul comes back out
and he takes a judo takedown. Even look at the

(58:25):
look on the rocks face right there, he looks startled
that they Rondo was actually able to pull that off
and the Hunter actually took that bump, and with that
they ended up getting the authority out of there. And
this is where we start laying the breadcrumbs of getting
Ronda to be a w W storyline.

Speaker 2 (58:47):
So bring it, I'm and they kind of brought it.

Speaker 1 (58:50):
Yeah, Now, what I recommend that anyone rewatched this particular segment, No,
because it runs a little bit long. But if you
want to cut to the point where the Rock goes
to pick out Ronda Rousey from the audience, sure, I
think that's like the maybe the thirteenth or the fourteen

(59:11):
minute mark of video if you happen to find it online. Okay,
And with that we move on to match number five
on the card. The Undertaker is back and he is
gonna be facing Bray Wyatt.

Speaker 2 (59:27):
Why didn't he have his retirement match during the last
wrestle media.

Speaker 1 (59:32):
Yeah, you would think so that that one moss that
he suffered at resuming Ya thirty to it would be
the end. But I guess either Vince needed someone else
to come back out here, or maybe Undertaker was like,
I can go, boss, let's go ahead, I need the money,

(59:54):
and let's go.

Speaker 2 (59:55):
I'm a fan of the Undertaker, don't get me wrong.
If you've watched this before, if you listen to us before,
you definitely know that I enjoy the Undertaker. I enjoy
his wrestling. I'm a fan of Paul Bearer. I enjoy
the stick, the Supernatural, love all of it, his brother

(01:00:16):
like Kane, I enjoy it. But I'm like, this match
to me was a little dull, and I do not
recommend that you were visited us, do you no?

Speaker 1 (01:00:28):
But also, first of all, Brave White, I believe this
moment at UH where we're filming this or putting this
out there, life is the marks the one year anniversary
of the passinge of Bray Whitet. So there's peace to him,
and our condolence is still to his family who are

(01:00:48):
still suffering loss.

Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
Okay, Yeah, his introduction was pretty awesome, you know, and
I was looking forward to seeing them wrestle, but overall
the match, FOUF was a little lackluster to me. And
again to see the Undertaker out there after he ended
his streak, I was kind of surprised. You know, can
I see him like in a short match? Sure? Can

(01:01:14):
I see him pop out like he did at WrestleMania forty?
Of course? Like who doesn't want to see the Undertaker
at WrestleMania? To me, this match wasn't just wasn't it?
What about you?

Speaker 1 (01:01:26):
Yeah, this match goes for fifteen minutes, which is shorter
than the match that he had with Rock Lesnar. I
believe that match was like twenty three minutes, So.

Speaker 2 (01:01:37):
I mean this is fifteen minutes.

Speaker 5 (01:01:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:01:40):
Yeah, So, like the Undertaker starts coming out firing on
this particular match, he's trying to grow his hair bag,
but he looks good. He's good enough to do the
old school move. And like you mentioned when we were watching,
it like to see a man of his stature to
be able to go up there and walk those ropes

(01:02:01):
like surets, like maybe three or four feet of from walking,
but it's still amazing to see.

Speaker 2 (01:02:07):
Ye.

Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
So, like you mentioned, like Undertaker is the master of
darkness and now we have another supernatural type of master
of darkness with and I know you mentioned that you
do not agree that Brocklestner should have been the one
to beat him, and I think when we talked with
our friend Raymond last time when we recorded Wrestling at thirty,

(01:02:30):
I mentioned that if not Roman reigns to take out
the Undertaker, that should have been bray Wyatt as the
new master of the supernatural.

Speaker 2 (01:02:39):
And I agree with you. Yeah, so this is watching.

Speaker 1 (01:02:44):
Yeah, so we have this whole thing where the Undertaker
and like after bray White does his sister Abigail, the
Undertaker and the bray White are kind of like exhausted
and then to prove that he's more of a mass
of the supernatural, bray Wittt does his little spider walk

(01:03:06):
or cramp walk, and then the Undertaker sits up and
stares right back at him, and then bray Wyatt is like,
oh fs, this is not what I expected, and they
start shrinking and collapsing that that was a fun spot here.
So eventually the Undertaker does win after the second Tombstone,

(01:03:28):
and like my wife mentioned, she does not recommend that
anyone go back and rewatch this one. I also do
not recommend that anyone go back and rewatch this match,
just mainly because it's like they already have the streak broken.
The Undertaker, he does wrestle for this is thirty one.

(01:03:53):
I believe he's done at Wrestleming at thirty seven, So
he does wrestle for another six years at a Wrestleming. Yeah. Like,
but this should have been the passing of the torch match.

Speaker 2 (01:04:05):
Yeah, inside the dead Man, not just another WrestleMania victory.

Speaker 1 (01:04:09):
Yeah. So this is when I think me and my
other friends who were discussing and watching this were like, well,
I guess they're going to rebuild up another streak, and
like they did, or kind of, they kind of rebuild
the streak, they build up the mythels of the Undertaker
because they still needed to give the Undertaker one more loss.

(01:04:35):
And with that, that takes us to our main event,
ball Rock Lesner facing the winner of the twenty fifteen
Royal Rumble, Roman Reigne.

Speaker 2 (01:04:51):
This is the word match for me. But tell me
what you think about in Macaria.

Speaker 1 (01:04:55):
Well, how long is this magical for?

Speaker 2 (01:04:57):
This match goes for a total of sixteen minutes and
forty three.

Speaker 1 (01:05:02):
Yeah, so we have brock Lessner. After he beats the Undertaker,
he ends up getting like I mentioned that victory, he
takes the belt away from Daniel Bryant that Daniel Brian
ends up getting injured and things like that. So that's
how brockens up with the belt. But yeah, and now

(01:05:22):
we have the future of the company, Roman Reigns out there.
He's left the Shield. The Shield has broken up because
Seth Rollins is now the architect of No, we can't
put those ones up yet. He's still not the founder
of the blood Line, but the blood line is in
the audience. His father is in the audience. Uncles are

(01:05:43):
in the audience because they're like Roman Reigns is here
for the ww W E Championship and he's gonna win it.
We're all coming. Oh, so this match starts off hot.
We get a uh them grappling up here, and during

(01:06:05):
one of these, after one of these supplexes, uh that
brock Lesner gets. Brock Lessner ends up getting in the
corner and Roman Reigns cuts him. So we have Rock
already bleeding from his cheek and that just infuriates the
Beast Incarnate and he just starts supplexing them all to

(01:06:29):
help to the point where people are counting.

Speaker 2 (01:06:32):
Can I call barca maverick? I think he was slowly
the UFC wrestling and.

Speaker 1 (01:06:38):
He was also a football player UFC yeah, wrestler, Yeah,
he tried to play football for the Minnesota Vikings, but
he got cut. So with this, you know, after brock
has hid like his eight supplex on him, because brock
Lessner is the master or the mayor of supplex City,

(01:07:00):
Roman Rain starts to momous comeback Brock Yeah, brock lesnars
and getting another F five on them, and you know
where like what you know, Roman Rings is getting destroyed.
You know, like we had that whole thing where John
Cena was getting destroyed by Russev. We're kind of getting

(01:07:21):
being down by him, and we got the same type
of storytelling going on here. And then Roman rain starts
hitting these superman punches here and eventually he gets off
another spear Brocklestener. They take it outside. Brocklessner ends up
trying to charge at Roman Reigns. Roman Reigns moves and

(01:07:45):
he busts himself open. The reason why it's in black
and white, in case you're wondering, is because of YouTube.
We don't want to show blood, so we can't, you know.
So rock Lessner is stumbling here, he's weak legs. Roman
Reigns is also tired, but he's trying to mount up
that comeback. And who do we get running down the ramp?

(01:08:10):
We get Seth Rollins and now he is gonna be
cashing in his money in the bank championship opportunity, and
this is when it becomes a triple threat match a
brock Lessener, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship.

Speaker 2 (01:08:30):
Everybody was shocked.

Speaker 1 (01:08:32):
Everybody was shocked, and everybody was happy because everybody did
not want Roman Rings to win. He felt that he
was being he was being pushed down and he was
not ready that he had not earned anything. So yeah,
and everyone's putting up them once. Uh and now he's

(01:08:52):
been like, welcome back to come and save the bloodline
from Sola Sicola. Yeah. So Seth seen seeking the opportunity
to catch in his money in the Bank Championship. He
stomps rock Lessener. Yeah, he curves Thompson. Yeah, so then

(01:09:13):
he's like tries to pin him, he kicks out. Roman
Reigns is coming to it and him somewhere over here,
but you know, so that's one of the announcers. Seth
Rollins is trying to do and get this match done
and over with. He eventually Brock comes to and he's

(01:09:36):
gonna give him an F five, but Roman Rains also
comes to and ends up getting him a spear that
takes out not only brock Lessner, but Roman Reigns too,
and they're all kind of trying to regain their consciousness.
Brock rolls out of the ring and that's when Seth

(01:09:58):
Rollins ends up curbs sound. Roman Reigns for the one
two three penn in the win, completing the highest of
the century as he stole the championship opportunity away from
Roman Reigns to become the new WWE champion.

Speaker 2 (01:10:13):
When you saw it to me like this, I'd say
three visit this the last few minutes of this where
he comes running down, But it's not or was it
for me? Up until the end, I think everybody really
got excited. Everybody was charged and seth Rowlans definitely stole

(01:10:35):
the show with his.

Speaker 1 (01:10:38):
The match and the title and maybe even.

Speaker 2 (01:10:40):
Paul Human's lunch money, so that was pretty cool. Definitely
loved that he was able to use that sit case
to you know, participate.

Speaker 1 (01:10:52):
And I think that's what I liked about, Like when
we start getting those the money by like twenty five
twenty six, when they started putting those in there, remember
like we had like in.

Speaker 2 (01:11:02):
The beginning, we have had too.

Speaker 1 (01:11:05):
Yeah, we started getting to like we started getting money
into the banks to start off the pay per view,
And this is what I kind of missed about it,
where you had that kind of aura mystery because you
could always pull off something like this.

Speaker 2 (01:11:19):
You're like, this is my uh, what do you call it?
When you're playing Monopoly and you have jail card?

Speaker 1 (01:11:25):
Is my get out of jail free? Card, and that's
something that happened here, Like people liked Brocklesner, but they
weren't like really like a fan of Brocklastner. He's still
he's kind of on the outs because he got caught
up with the whole Vin scandal. So but Brocklestner's contract
is ending and they don't know if they're going to

(01:11:46):
resign them. So that's one of the reasons why he's
losing the spelt right here. And then you know Roman reigns.
This is supposed to be the guy that they're going
to be putting in the future, but no one but
he's like getting the John Cena treatment where it's like
nobody wants them. Everybody hates them because he's getting shoved
down your throat right and they're like no, So what

(01:12:08):
a perfect time for like them storyline wise, like save
this match, save this company, give everybody a happy ending
to go home with.

Speaker 2 (01:12:16):
What's interesting to me is that both the Throwings and
Roman Marines were part of the Shield. They're a part
of the Shield. Yeah, so when they first started, and
I know people are huge, die hard fans of both,
I'm surprised that they are, Like WWE superstars, if you

(01:12:40):
didn't see that in WrestleMania forty if you don't know,
if you haven't acknowledged the one, but.

Speaker 6 (01:12:51):
Like to see them wrestling back then and now because
I'm so excited that we got to this point that
story that feud goes on and.

Speaker 1 (01:13:02):
You see it it comes full circle like at Wrestling
forty because they put these breadcrumbs and they like, this
is like super long storytelling. Like if Roman did not
have all that hate cod for Seth rollins, he would
not have taken the time to actually ignore Cody, give

(01:13:24):
him a spear and pin him. Instead, he was distracted
because Seth was vulnerable and storyline wise, and he ended
up hitting him with the tear shot, and then after
that Cody took advantage. So that's like this whole thing
where it's like, not only do I recommend people go
watch this if you're a newer fans wrestling, it's like

(01:13:45):
a must watch because of everything that it leads up
to our main event and all those breadcrumbs that get
this is pretty much like where Cody's like nearing his
run at the w w E and then he leaves
to go over the NDS and finds himself finds the

(01:14:06):
American Nightmare.

Speaker 2 (01:14:08):
So yeah, So it's just interesting because it's like you
see them wrestling back at this time, you know, where
the fans are just like, oh okay, but now all
three of them are WWE superstars. So for nostalgia's sake,
I'd recommend that you visit this WrestleMania and it's just

(01:14:29):
pretty interesting to see one the wrestling gear too, how
they were wrestling, and just to see how far they've
come from this WrestleMania to WrestleMania forty. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:14:40):
So with that, I think this WrestleMania has been dubbed
one of the greatest Wrestuming events so far from one
to thirty one. The only the only reason why I
don't call it like one of the greatest WrestleMania events
is because you know, we get like we've seen what

(01:15:02):
the future is and we get like better matches as
we go along. So right now, I would not say
it that it is right now. I think forty has
taken just because of like the long term, the long
term storytelling that I just told you about that it
all pays off. So with this one, maybe at the

(01:15:22):
time it probably would have been a good one, but
you know I still have issues. I only recommended like
three matches, the first match, the Ladder match, the Triple
h and Sting match, and the and this match.

Speaker 2 (01:15:41):
Yeah, it's kind of surprising people said that this was
the greatest wressle Meania of all time, and FU listening
or watching think that it was the greatest WrestleMania of
all time. Let us know. We're definitely and just said
and hearing your thoughts. I thought mostly these matches were
pretty solid, except for just about two of them and

(01:16:01):
those that I didn't really care for him like, hey,
maybe watch the end of it or so you can
see the trajectory of these wrestlers. Because you're a WWE
superstars right now in twenty twenty four, So until next time.

Speaker 1 (01:16:17):
Yeah, thank you very much for joining us. If you're
watching or you're listening to us, I will be putting
the audio back back. We'll be putting the audio up
on all the major podcasts networks, Apple, Speaker, Spotify, YouTube Music,
which would only also not only play this video, but

(01:16:39):
if you want to save your data and you want
to take us on the road or in your ear
in your earbuds as you take a light run, somewhere.
You could just change it to no video and you'll
still hear the audio seamlessly. So you have us a
little walk somewhere. Yeah, so delightful. Yeah, thank you once
again for joining us. Our next episode, I believe will

(01:17:02):
be WrestleMania thirty two unless something comes up, and that
when we're looking forward to putting that up for you
guys in September seventh.

Speaker 2 (01:17:15):
So until next time, keep the WrestleMania spirit alive and
we'll catch you on the next episode of Revisiting the Media.
Take care and stay tuned for more wrestling nostalgia.

Speaker 1 (01:17:26):
And don't for hit forget to hit the like and
subscribe button and sash it, smash it, smash it, smash it. Yeah,
smash it, do whatever, hit it with a chair, just
as long as you get the likes and subscribes on.

Speaker 2 (01:17:40):
No, we don't reckon on that.

Speaker 1 (01:17:42):
Thank you. Have a great pa.
