Speaker 1 (00:16):
Hey, welcome, we are revisiting the Mania of wrestle Mania
Rewatch podcast. I'm Carlos and I Maria and we're back.
We're back and revisiting WrestleMania thirty three.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Yep, wrestling fans, friends, get ready for the ultimate revisit.
We at revisiting the menia, stepping back in time to
capture the menia of WrestleMania thirty three.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Now, if this is your first time joining us, first
of all, thank you, and if this is comdon you like,
don't forget to give us a like subscribe And basically
this is a channel me and my wife started about
last year July because we we had just bought our
tickets to at ten WrestleMania forty. I had not been

(01:04):
to a WrestleMania, but been watching it for a long time.
Ria had been watching sporadically here and there, but never
recalls watching a WrestleMania. So I was like, we're attending Wrestlekan,
there's gonna be lots of legends. Let's start at the
beginning and I'll walk you through all the way to

(01:25):
what we ended up seeing WrestleMania forty.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Yeah. So if you haven't subscribed, be sure to subscribe.
So at WrestleMania thirty three, there were a total of
sixty four thousand, nine hundred fans in attendance and New
Day New Day Rocks they were.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
They were the coast. Yeah, so let's get started here.
So we get the singing of America the Beautiful Yeah.
And was it named tanasehe or oh?

Speaker 2 (01:55):
I should have had that?

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Yeah, I thought you had that.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
We can look it up and add in the comments.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Yeah, So with this one, and then we had I
think I took a picture of the stage. As you
can see, it's a very well and good little Yeah.
It was to not shape to share memory. So this
was the stage. I always like taking pictures of the stage,
so we had a little bit of a preview of
what we might have expected at wrest Them in your

(02:21):
forty Oh.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
I think this is a really good view because the
tagline for this event is the ultimate thrill Ride. So
if you're looking at the stage, for those of those watching,
we also have listeners. Thanks to those that are listening,
this stage has a roller coaster and that is also
what we're here for to give you the ultimate thrill
ride into this past WrestleMania.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Well, I also think that it was like maybe not
a homage, but kind of like a shout out because
this was held in Orlando, Okay, and you have all
of those theme parks in Orlando, like Universal Studios and Disneyland. So,
as my wife mentioned, a New Day is the host
of WrestleMania. These guys were still hot and they didn't

(03:05):
have the titles, but Vince knew that he needed to
get them on TV and that's why we got these
guys as our hosts.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
So we have Beggie, Kofi Kingston and Xavier was Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
So with this anything else before we need to get
into the first match.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Well, I'm a fan of New Day, so I was surprised.
I don't think we've had too many hosts before, but
I'm definitely a fan of New Day, so I was
happy to see them in this WrestleMania. I love their attitude,
the wrestling, and their gear, so I'm here for that all.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
I think the last host we had was The Rock.
The Rock, Yeah, The Rock, and before that then I
can't remember. I know, Bob Bucker comes into mind when
Bob Buker, mister Baseball was one of thosts. But yeah, and.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
This WrestleMania appearance, we get appearance of Goldberg since Wrestling
twenty the xx.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Oh, it's been that long since, It's been that long,
all right. So with that, let's get into the card.
With the first match on the docket.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
I was gonna ask. I noticed a wrestling fan in
the audience has an I Hate Roman sign, and I'm
looking at you wrestling fans and talking to those that
are listening, so it says twenty I think twenty fourteen,
WWE had a big push with Roman, right, and so

(04:34):
the fans were not enjoying him at the time, and
so I think in twenty sixteen he was actually about
it the most hated wrestler of the year. So now
we're here, we are twenty twenty four and he's done
a complete three sixty. He is one of the favorite

(04:55):
wrestlers of the WWE network at this time, pretty much
at the top of his game, and he is one
of the heads of the main storyline. And it's been
that way. I want to say over the past few years.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Now we acknowledge Roman reigns by the way.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
You've been acknowledged. So I just had to note that
because of what a difference from twenty seventeen through twenty
twenty four. He's stuck with it and here he is today.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Yeah, and it's it's weird, but I'll get into it
a little bit more. But it's going to be interesting
on how we get to his last match here with
the Undertaker. So we're ready to get to the first one.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
We're ready to get into match number one.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
First match, Shane McMahon versus AJ Styles and this is
just because of Shane McMahon not wanting to get AJ
Styles another shot at the title. But this match goes
for twenty minutes, twenty minutes and thirty five seconds.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
So I hear one of the commentators say, as they
stay in Chicago, you picked the wrong one, and that's
a true statement. Don't mess around and pick the wrong
one because you will find out.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
I think that was Corey Graves, who's making his first
WrestleMania debut as a commentator. He was originally a wrestler
and unfortunately he had one of those injuries where he
it was recommended that he no longer compete, so he
made a transition from being a wrestler.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
A commentator commentator. That makes sense. So this is match
that I wasn't expecting, and I actually wasn't looking forward to.
I was curious to see how this first event for
this WrestleMania thirty three was gonna unfold. What did you
think about this matchup?

Speaker 1 (06:44):
This was an interesting matchup because this is the point
where when I was watching it, I was like, why
Shane still doing WrestleMania's SE's in his forties and he
just had that brutal match with the Undertaker the year before,
but one of.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
My favorite matches because of the spots where he went
jumping from the cage and then the Undertaker rolls over.
It's like one of my favorite spots.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Yeah, well, there's the spots similar here, but there's no
cage involved. But now that we watch the mister McMahon
Neflick documentary and it has this moment where Shane which
is from the previous WrestleMania, it's not about that he
felt that once he did that match with the Undertaker
or as so Manya thirty two, he finally gained Vinc's respect.

(07:36):
But I'm like, why is he still going out here? Now?
Kind of revisiting, I see WrestleMania thirty three and like,
why is Shane still going out there. So I think
this is still Shane trying to prove himself to his father, right,
and he does a good job. This match is pretty good.
There's a few little things here that we get, like

(07:56):
he's working with a very seasoned guy like AJS has
been around for a long time and DNA and New Japan,
like I told you last time when he faced Jericho
last at thirty two. But there's some highlights. This is
when Shane puts him like in the Hell's Gate. I
guess that's a move that he took away from having
that match and the Undertaker and Restumena thirty two. But

(08:19):
we also get a couple of moves here. Here's the
one where he gets thrown over the announced table, and
this is the one that you talked about where there
was a spot similar Wrestlemena thirty two where Undertaker's laying
on the announcers table where aj Styles is laying on

(08:40):
the announced table, but he also rolls out of the
way and Shane goes through the table.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
I tell you, Shane McMahon like ever a suntman during
some of these matches, because wrestling moves are overrated, right
when you can just die of off stuff.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Well it is overrated, but there's only so many high
spots that you can do before you like put your
body and in your life and danger, and Shane has
done a lot of them, especially like his spots where
you didn't see them because we've only been doing WrestleMania.
But there's some in during like Summer Slam right and
other random pay per views. I think like the King

(09:16):
of the Ring where he's like getting suplex by Kurt
Angle through plate glass or the glass.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Somehow after all of these different stuns, Shane McMahon, after
crashing and jumping off cages and flying over tables, still
kicks out. He's like physics, what's that? He just keeps
on moving. So one of my favorite moments of this
match is when Shane counters AG's for fifthy splash with

(09:44):
the triangle choke.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
Yeah, that's the one that showed you right.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
He looks like he's auditioning for our UFC tournaments.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
But and then we got a we couldn't be a
Shane mcman match with that Coast to coast.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
That was like some favorite most from him. I mean,
that's how can you say that's not impressive?

Speaker 1 (10:03):
The other thing that he impressed me with, like even
though it was kind of shaky is when he tried
to do a four to fifty splash and the ended
of like landing on his knees. But overall, like, this
match was very good. It was I felt that it
was good, good pace to it. You never got bored.

(10:23):
You saw that you know these guys. The whole build
up was that AJ was mad with Shane because Shane
was the smack Down general manager, and that feud played out.
You felt the anger, you felt the animosity that these
guys had in this match, and that's why I like
this match. I recommend that people go back and rewatch
this match because these are like one of the few

(10:46):
Shane matches that I think where he actually excelled, like
in like putting on a good match. What about you?

Speaker 2 (10:56):
I agree with you. So you talked about Shane hitting
that insane to coast. It's one of my favorite spots
of this match. He's trying submissions. You know, why not
add that emmy dad energy to these matches. She always
reminds me of a dad that decided to go wrestling.
With the gear that he's wearing, is it WrestleMania worthy? Absolutely.

(11:20):
I would say definitely rewatch this. It's definitely a yes
for me. I was a fan of this match. Usually
we start out with like a ladder match or some
kind of brawl, but this was good. I would definitely
recommend that you watch it, revisit with us.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Yeah, and if there's no more notes for this one,
we can move on to match number two on the card,
which is Kevin owens Koemania two. As his shirt says,
I actually like that shirt on my head to see
if they make it. So m yeah versus Christ Jerkle

(12:00):
for this US Championship. And this match goes for sixteen
and twenty seconds and my list, Oh, there's missed opportunities here, so.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
Many missed opportunity. So sixteen minutes and twenty second a
tale of best friends turned better enemies and one giant list.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Yeah. So I won't get into it. I'll get into
like it towards the end of it. But there's like this,
they call it that, this is the straw that broke
Jericho's back, So let's get into it. I like the entrance,
speaking of entrance that we had with Jericho, right, yeah,
So this is the list of Jericho. This is my

(12:49):
favorite time of Jericho besides the long hair do Jericho
that he had in White in the beginning to w
c W.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
So well, what can you not? What can you What
complaints do you have about this match? This field has everything,
it has friendship, portrayal, a festival of pettiness. It's like
peak soap opera energy. So I thought it was pretty cool.
I enjoyed watching them wrestle.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
Yeah, some good spots. We have this pop up power
bond that Kevin Owens does right there on the mat.
We got them trading. Uh, this is Jericho doing his
walls of Jericho. But then Kevin Owens does his own
and my other favorite spot of the match, and we
talked about this, Yes, the finger where not only Kevin

(13:45):
Owens can clearly reach that rope with his own hand,
but he was so petty and so like wanting to
kind of like stick it to Jericho. He's like, I'm
just gonna lay one finger a finger on the rope
to the pretty Yeah, pretty clever. But to me, I like,

(14:09):
as part of a russe ring WrestleMania match, I can't
recommend this one. It just seems like it's just like
a regular match. You would see on wrong. Maybe if
it had gone a little bit shorter. Yeah, like not
as long. It just seemed like someone wasn't into it
and it might have been Jericho. And I'll get into

(14:30):
it a little bit more after you give your rating.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
But go ahead, okay. So, like you said, what are
the highlights? My highlights? Most highlights Jericho countering a pop
up power bomb into the walls of Jericho. Pretty cool.
We see Kale playing the Ultimate Trol and walking around
with that title. Was it WrestleMania thirty three worthy? Was
it worthree visits? I'd say not really. Like you just

(14:57):
alluded to, it's not a classic. It's more of a
raw main event. So with that, I would say it's entertaining,
But I felt like eating an appetizer when you want
the main course. Yeah, but you know that finger on the.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
Road, that's a good one that someone should like incorporate
that one more time. I could see like someone like
MJF doing that mac or an ad W. But basically
this match was kind of like an alternate path because

(15:34):
Kevin the once had the World Championship, the Universal Championship,
the Red Belt, and when brock Lessner came back, he
dropped it to him. But when Jericho was pitching matches
to Vince, he actually suggested that they have a title
match or they had this particular match of WrestleMania, but

(15:56):
it be for that universal one, okay, And that's what
Chris Jericho got mad and after this, he after this
wrestleman na, he hasn't been back with the company, so
he left, went to New Japan and started doing his
own things. So this is what I mean that this
is the match that broke Jericho's back. Yeah, So if

(16:17):
there's not anything else for you to want to get.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
Into, we get into match number three.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Yeah, and this is kind of most of the horse
women there here. Those are the four Women and NXT
that kind of brought the women's revolution after the from
NXT to the main rock of My Favorite. Yeah, we
have Bailey as the Raw Women's Champion and a fatal

(16:43):
four way match versus Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, and Naya Jacks.
And this match goes for twelve minutes and forty eight seconds.
So this is not a traditional fatal four way like
we've seen with the men. This is an elimination one.

(17:06):
So if you get pinned, if you submit, then you leave.
You don't have to worry as much as breaking up account.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
Okay, well, I enjoyed this match. When all these ladies
come out, especially Bailey. I love all the wrestling gear.
Everybody was looking great. I think shows doing a shout
out to macho man.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
Yeah, she is a big macho man Randy Savage fan,
and as we can see here, this probably could have
been like you alluded to, one of those homages to him.
She also had this wacky inflatable arm waving because she
was a called her a hugger. So and then we
had the Sansha Banks. Everyone else got to walk, but

(17:51):
since Sasha backs is the boss, she gets driven down
and then Charlotte Flair had.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
That's appropriate this one yeah awesome too.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Yeah, and that that broke was I believe it was
a throwback to when her father was out there. I
believe it was Wrestlmingia twenty two when he had that
retirement match with Shawn Michaels.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
So everybody was pretty energized. Like I said, I enjoy
their gear. Nia gets taken out early on.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
Yeah, there's a couple of fun spots because they all
try to gang up on her. They all kind of
charge at her at once and try to do a
clothesline and guess what she counters. It was a good spot, right,
it was a very good spot. And then they have
this other spot when they're trying to still figure out
how to get her out, where they do this like

(18:46):
power bomb, all three of them power bomb and then unfortunately,
you know, the numbers are against Naya and they all
pin her to eliminate her three one, yeah, three to one,
so she's first one out. You had to get her out.
I mean, I like that Naya has like incorporated some

(19:08):
of the moves from like that Anaaii family, So she
does that little Bonzai drop as an homage to Yoko Zuna.
So that's always good on seeing like all of those
like moves being passed down throughout that family. You have
her doing the bonds I drop. You have Jimmy and

(19:30):
Jay doing their traditional moves like when it comes to
Samoan drops from and raindows yeah no yeat, you know,
doing the rear view like their father used to do
kind of thing kind of like they don't do distinct face,
but they do do something similar. But the way that
they add those little things to them throughout their whole

(19:53):
family and give like throwing throwbacks to them is always good.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
Cool. So next we see Sasha, she's gone bye bye
after Charlotte Flair reminds.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
Us Yeah, and then it's just Charlotte and uh she
has a PhD and Bailey Yeah, and then Charlotte is
eventually eliminated. There after they get into a one on
one situation and Bailey ends up winning and retaining after

(20:23):
she does her elbow drop from the top rope.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Oh yeah, that's half rope albo. That would even make
Macho Man proud. Game over. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
So with this match of minutes of forty eight seconds, yeah,
what do you think it longer? Yeah, I'm going to
have this complaint to that. I felt like you have
four women there and like the majority of the time
was basically spent on them getting rid of naya and

(20:53):
not enough time to cook. Like I mentioned the second
match with the Kevin and Kevin and Chris Jericho, felt
like that would have been something we would have seen,
like you said, a main event un raw, This probably
could have been something that we probably see main venue
on Raw because you have four women there and if
they didn't have enough time to highlight them all. If

(21:16):
you think about it, this match is almost thirteen minutes,
as like three and a half or three and a
quarter minute for each woman to get in their moves,
try to win the crowd over and things like that.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
I mean, ladies are all great wrestlers and their own right,
so don't forget that. It's not like some you know,
your everyday worker, shout out to the workers because you
need your workers. But they're all really good wrestlers. So
what's my final verdict.

Speaker 1 (21:45):
I do not recommend it.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
And I thought this was a solid match, but it's
not groundbreaking. It's not an all time classic. It's a
fun match that led Bailey keep her role model vibe intact.
Plus any wrestlemanium involves a flair, so it's just a
little bit more exciting. I think it's an okay.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
Watch, but you don't recommend for people to go back
and rewatch.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
No, this is one of those like this is really good,
this is juicy. It definitely go back and visit. It's
just okay.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
Yeah, and with this, this brings us to the twenty
seventeen w W Hall of Fame class. Yes, so this year, Yeah,
I think we both know, I think it was just you.
So one of these we get is it's sim. It's
sim it's d DP saving people's lives with his yoga,

(22:41):
and he finally earns in it gets in. And then
we have the rock Roll Express, Ricky Morton and Bobby Gibson.
We have Rick Rude and this is his family there
the ravishing one gets in that get into the w
W do utunately postthumously, and we have Teddy Long. He's

(23:06):
going to tell you something player. So unfortunately or fortunately
he when he got inducted into the Hall of Fame,
he didn't have to tell anyone that they have to
face the undertaker to prevent him from getting in. But
Teddy Long had a very long and storied career as

(23:26):
not only a manager, he was also a referee and
he made himself into a TV personality as a WW
SmackDown GM This Eric Legrand I believe he was a
former football player, and we see the Warrior Award for that.

(23:47):
Beth Phoenix, wife of Edge Adam Copeland, makes it into
the w W Hall of Fame. I've always felt that
she was not appreciated as one of the women, but
she was I feel like the beginning of the women's
evolution from becoming just diva matches, panting matches, things like that,

(24:10):
and to being real serious wrestlers. And unfortunately for you,
you only got to see maybe one or two WrestleMania
matches with her. Yeah, and then we have the main events.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
Not but that's accurating goal. Yeah, you've had the opportunity
of meeting.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
This past January has been a good year for revisiting
the media. Yeah, we've got a lot of things accomplished
here as far as meeting wrestlers that we've grown up with,
we've admired, we've become vanus, whether it's been for many years.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
Or these WrestleManias, their matches, that would be me.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
Yeah, And I think when we got this autograph, I
think we had an extra one for current angle, for
current angle. Maybe we'll we'll that would check on them.
Maybe that'll be a giveaway.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Sometimes that would be a giveaway.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
And with that, what do you think about this Hall
of Fame class? You got to at least know the
majority of this It was.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
A solid Hall of Fame class, no complaints, no questions.
Pretty good. What about you?

Speaker 1 (25:22):
Yeah, I mean I didn't get that much time with
the Rock and Roll Express, but we had, you know,
Ravishing Recrude. He's one of my favorite guys, one of
my favorite and who could not had that.

Speaker 2 (25:37):
If you don't know who the Ravishing is, Google.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
But he's had some good matches and was able to
get some good matches out of the Ultimate Warrior, not
only in WrestleMania, but also in when we were back
in the Territory days when Ravishing Recruit was facing off
against the Thingo Warrior as Ultimate Warrior used to be
known as. So I mean that, and then we had

(26:04):
like I mentioned, Teddy Long mentioned his story career, but
Diamond Dallas Page when I first started watching w CW,
was one of those guys that I also thought was
kind of interesting to me. And unfortunately, like when he
transitioned over to WWE, they didn't get as big as
a push as anybody. But I always felt that as
one of those people Booker t got in a few

(26:28):
years ago, why can't Diamond Dallas Page because he was
one of those like recognizable names that you have.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
I can appreciate what you're saying, that's for sure.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
All right, And with this we move on to the
next match on the card, which is a three way
ladder match B for the Men's Tag Team Championship.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
One of your favorite tag teams.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
Yeah, they had. It's them and so Amore and He's
there with big Casts and they were certified g's and
bona fide at.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
That time, Yes they were.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
And the next tag team that we had was Cizarro
and seamous international tag team Men of Mystery.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
A moment and time everybody and.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
The thirteam was newcomers to the WWE scene, Luke Gallows
and Carl Anderson that used to be part of the
New Japan Infection Bullet Club, who were big, big tag
team there. They were close friends of aj Styles. So well,

(27:44):
but wait a minute, the New Day came out here
and what did they announce? What they announced that everyone
thought that it was going to be them joining them
to make it a foid a four way, but it
was not. The rumors were true that WrestleMania, if you
were listening, that Matt and Jeff Hardy had re signed

(28:07):
with the WWE and they made it a four way
ladder match for the Men's Tag Team Championship.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
So that's a surprise return is part of what made
this thirty three legendary event.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
It was one of them because to me, there weren't
that many like memorable things.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
The crowd was so excited.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
Yeah, but tardy fever was raining once again and we
made this a four way tech team ladder match and
it was a very fun match filled with great spots.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
What do you have to say, you know, let's talk
about his contribution. He was talking trash louder than the crowd,
but you know what, ladders don't care about charisma, and
he was out soon enough, so.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
Yeah it was. And then we have this one. This
is a fun spot here that we have. We're Enzo, no,
we're excuse me, Shamus and Czarrow. Cesarrow's doing the giant
swing to one of the guys and from from Carla
Anderson and Luke Gallows and Seamus is doing those beats

(29:18):
at the battery. That was a good one.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
Favorite spots. You probably have a photo of this, Jeff Hardy,
that's a good that's a good spot.

Speaker 1 (29:28):
Yeah, I did I get the angle on this one. Yeah,
we're Jeff Hardy.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
Funny to crush Cesarrow and Shamans like it's nineteen ninety
nine vintage.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
And one of only one of those letters ended up
breaking that one with Cesarrow was in. The one where
Shamus was on did not break, so he ended up
rolling off. But that was a good fun spot. This
was also a fun spot to where Enzo's trying to
climb up and get the tag team titles and Big
Cast is trying to help.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
But it looks like Cast is like as tall as
one of those.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
And I think this is Gallows that end up getting them,
and they power bomb Big Cast onto that ladder, pretty
much taking them out of commission.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
To be confused with Mama Casts.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
Yeah, don't never make that type of confusion. But here
we are. The Hardys after that splash end up winning
the tag team championship from that particular. So the finish, yeah,
what did you think about that? Thought?

Speaker 2 (30:36):
The finish shows impress up. So you have Matt Hardy
retrieving both balls. When we see them playing off these ladders,
We're like, thank god they didn't die, Especially Jeff, they
go hard all the time. I love a ladder match.
I thought this was a solid match. You have a
lot of good wrestling characters. Love the personality, although I

(31:00):
guess one of them or two of them are problematic.
No longer wrestling.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
Just Enzo, he's on the independent scene. The Big Cast
is still wrestling. He's now the Big Redwood that's under
the stable of the Learning Tree with Chris Jericho at
aw FUN.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
So if you're asking me as a sports arena, is it,
I would say yes, it is definitely where Arima's it.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
Watch it, and for me, I'm I'm on board with you.
I had at first, I wasn't like going to recommend it,
but like talking about it and the way this match
is placed in the card, like we had those first
three matches and then we had the Hall of Fame,
So like the crowd is like a little down because

(31:47):
they had time to relax everything, and like you said,
this is not only a good way to pick them
back up, but also you throw in the surprise, like
where you think it's going to be the New Day
because they're the host and they don't have taking title
right now, and you're they're like coming out there and
they're kind of slowly shimmering, which I wouldn't enjoy seeing.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
The Russell, But the Hardy is coming back signing, coming
back to WW That's that's a special moment too. Yeah,
everybody is a fan of a fave coming back into
the spotlight.

Speaker 1 (32:19):
So yeah, yeah, so definitely, I would definitely recommend if
you're a friend of the Hardy, fan of the Hardy fans,
a fan of the Hardy Boys. There you go mixing
up my words here, But if you are a fan
and want to relive that particular pop and that moment
in WrestleMania where the rumors were bound but people didn't

(32:40):
know if they were going to do it, and they
show up and they along with these other three teams,
bring us a pretty good match.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
And if you're a fan, a Window fan, an oscillating fan,
a Dyson fan, and you watched us this, I don't
forget to subscribe.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
Un like us, Wait comment, especially if you're listening if
you have not, if you're listening to us on any
of the podcasts platform, give a review. It helps us
get discovered, and you know, share it with a friend
if they're looking into getting into watching rats like us
and want to kind of go back and realize, like

(33:25):
relive these moments and find out why and how people
become fans.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
That's true. I have had the while of twenty twenty four.
You can imagine, yeah.

Speaker 1 (33:36):
And this will bring us to the next match on.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
The card, match single Match number.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
Five, John Cena and Nikki Bella.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
Match you never wanted, none of us. I was listening
those watching maybe one of us.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
The couple Marie and the mizz.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
This match went on for a long night and it's
in forty seconds.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
A little too long, yes, but this meant not only
had that going for it, but we had guest announcer,
our broker.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
Hello, al.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
Come out here and announce the teams of I love
the costumes that ms and Maurices have there.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
They look awesome.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
Yeah, they look like kind of matrix y.

Speaker 2 (34:26):
Yeah, all right, so that exactly matrix because I feel
like cool.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
Yeah, So what did you think we have anything? Before
we get.

Speaker 2 (34:34):
Into reality TV meets wrestling. You know, let's dive in.
This wasn't as much a match as it was like
a live action trailer disguised as like a wrestling segment.
So spoiler we see John Cena proposed to Bella one

(34:59):
of the or sorry, Nikki, one of the Bela twins.
It was just I don't know, I guess knowing now
and knowing their trajectory and watching their reality TV show
because I was watching the reality TV show and it
was out. I was a fan and I used to
watch it while I was doing chores and stuff like that.
It's just a really ridiculous segment.

Speaker 1 (35:21):
Yeah, I mean that's pretty much like probably what this
match was about. Besides like the story that they try
to feed you that mis and Maurice were jealous that
they felt that they were the couple and Johnsena and
Nikki Bella. But yeah, this pretty much was probably just
like a preview a trailer, as you said, you by.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
It, I know, like the end results. But also this
match just wasn't that great, so I didn't even tell
you to riveter want.

Speaker 1 (35:52):
There was just like a couple of fun spots, and
it's pretty much like if you're a fan of Johnsena,
you'll enjoy like when him and Nikki do the five
knuckle shuffle and when they both do the attitude adjustment.

Speaker 2 (36:06):
It was nice to see them do that together.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
Yeah, but other than that, please.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
The fan. IM a fan, so like I'm not critiquing
like the wrestling persona. I'm a big fan of John Cena,
but this match is no for me, It's not worth watching.

Speaker 1 (36:30):
It's not a revisit, especially since the proposal, like they
end up breaking up like less than a year later.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
The aisle, it was like, how long did they last
after this? And Carlos said that they lasted less than
a year. I was like, holy shit, Oh yeah, so
not a re is it for you?

Speaker 1 (36:50):
No?

Speaker 2 (36:50):
Definitely forgettable for me. I want to, you know, forget that.
I watched it and saw this again, So skip past
it if you're watch it or if you're streaming it
on TV.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
And that'll bring us to the sixth match, Triple H
versus Seth freaking Rollins in a non sanctioned match, and
this unsanctioned match goes for twenty five.

Speaker 2 (37:22):
Minutes and thirty seconds. It's a long match.

Speaker 1 (37:25):
That is what we're accustomed to watching right now, as
Triple H is the man question mark because Vince is
still technically in charge.

Speaker 2 (37:37):
But the least favorite introduction for Triple H and all
the Triple H and introductions we've seen for WrestleManias.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
When he's writing down a motorcycle with Stephanie in his
back like.

Speaker 2 (37:47):
That, yeah, well like okay, like I guess hot for
them and necessary for us, but we've seen like all
these badass introductions where he's come out looking like a king.
He has come out looking like a cyborg. So now
we get this. So sometimes we run out of ideas.

Speaker 1 (38:04):
You know, who did have a bad pretty big cool entrance?

Speaker 2 (38:08):
What's that?

Speaker 1 (38:09):
What seth freaking round? Look at that he's got his
name back there. The ramp, the long long ramp that
they had in Orlando all had flames.

Speaker 2 (38:24):
Yeah, I agree with you.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
Oh that was pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (38:27):
So it's dive in this twenty five minute and we
see sledgehammers like races, mid life crisis for.

Speaker 1 (38:36):
Who, triple for triples for Hunter.

Speaker 2 (38:41):
For both of them, that couple. So what do you
think of this match? Overall?

Speaker 1 (38:46):
This match? I like it. I just wish it was shorter.

Speaker 2 (38:52):
Than the twenty five minutes thirty seconds.

Speaker 1 (38:54):
Yeah, like I think as we're visiting, like I'm a
fan of Triple A.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
You're a fan of the King.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
Yes, I'm a fan of Jesus. Oh, Jesus is also
the king of King. No, I'm just saying it's like
just because I said the word I shot out to

(39:21):
my cousin Chewi. Yeah, but uh no that I think
like he knows the spot, he knows he's a bad guy.
He knows how to break down, how to like go along,
like I want to work a spot like this match.
Seth technically was coming back from his injury, so this

(39:43):
is why he was unsanctioned. So Triple H they laid
out this whole thing where the psychology of this match
was just going to be can Seth rely on this
on his knee? Triple A is gonna work the knee,
so he's gonna have to overcome that odd and like
the recovery of that, all the work that Triple AHS
put onto.

Speaker 2 (40:02):
That's me playing the tragic hero yea somehow that needs survived.

Speaker 1 (40:07):
Yeah, and he's surviving in a good way. So but yeah,
I want to recommend this match and maybe I'll tunk
myself into it.

Speaker 2 (40:15):
This is twenty seventeen, so he now twenty twenty four
is also a very hot wrestling PERSONA know.

Speaker 1 (40:22):
Yeah, he's still going at it. So like when he
just resigned a contract, I'm not sure for how long more,
if it was like for five years or three years. Yeah,
we're still going. So he's solo.

Speaker 2 (40:34):
He used to be part of a trio, and what's
a trio?

Speaker 1 (40:36):
Same the Shield?

Speaker 2 (40:37):
Yeah, he's part of the Shield.

Speaker 1 (40:39):
I mean they're still going two of them here, one
of them in ae W.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
So, so if you're newer to wrestling, just you know
there is some history with Seth Rollins.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
Yeah, and it's all bubbling up and right now into
this current storylines that we have going.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
But so one of my favorite spots of this match
just seeing Stephanie getting eat it through a table.

Speaker 1 (41:03):
Oh I didn't get a picture, no, but it is
one of the things where Stephanie is and the apron
and just like.

Speaker 2 (41:15):
That's what I'm saying. Yeah, we've seen her take some
pretty hard hit.

Speaker 1 (41:19):
She took the spear from Roman Reigns the WrestleMania thirty two,
and I guess they're like, you know what, Stephanie people
like when you get hit. So let's set up this
one spot where it looks like Triple H is gonna
hit you by after Seth Roland ducks and then Triple
A's gonna catch himself and then was he turns around,

(41:40):
Seth Rowland gives him a super kick and he now
you bump into your wife and send it to the table.

Speaker 2 (41:45):
So is this match worth revisiting?

Speaker 1 (41:50):
Well, I'm gonna put up these these pictures here, so
we have this one particular, when we get a DDT
outside that was a good table. Was supposed to collapse,
but the table doesn't. That was a good one. And
when we have this one here where Seth Rolin is looking,

(42:10):
he's in control, he's digging everything out, and Stephanie does
some great work here because Stephanie is like on the
other side and she's like Hunter, he's got chairs, look
out for the chairs, and Triple eventually avoids that it
gets back in control in the thing, and he's like

(42:33):
working on his knee like I told you there, Stephanie
in the background giving her sneer, and eventually they take
it back outside. Seth once again is like fumbling trying
to get around, and this is when he starts throwing
chairs at Hunter right, and then he eventually slips out
and then throws Hunter's sledgehammer. This is his like calling card,

(42:56):
like throughout maybe since two thousand and three or two
thousand and four, Triple H always had a sledgehammer with them.

Speaker 2 (43:03):
Oh okay, so this is this is like.

Speaker 1 (43:07):
I don't want to get too much ahead, but if
you think about it, this was the downfall of Triple H. Here.
If you think about like the beginning of it, like
and wrestlemen, you're forty and spoiler if you have not
watched it in that, but we have this moment where
Seth Rollins comes in and woman Rings has a chair

(43:31):
and he has Cody there and he has Seth Rollinson
and instead of hitting Cody with the chair because of
all the history that him and Seth Rollins have, right,
he ends up hating Seth Rollins so much that he
hits Seth Rollins with the chair and then Cody gets
advantage and wins. Right, But with this one, Triple H

(43:53):
is so obsessed with his sledgehammer and all the times
that he's caused trouble that he ends up grabbing that
sledgehammer and then it eventually starts leading to him like
losing the match, gets control, he tries to do this

(44:13):
super pedigree Seth Rollins, but he ends up kicking out
and then we have Seth and getting the pin in
the win because he ends up getting Triple H and
the pedigree and after that whole miscommunication where yeah, this
is Triple H putting them over because one two three

(44:36):
pin in the win vers Seth freaking Rollins. And now
that I'm talking about this match and getting into it,
I actually do recommend that people go and watch this match.
What about you.

Speaker 2 (44:47):
Well as a revisiting worthy Yeah, I think I was
Triple H's eagle demands it. Sethwllans gave it everything, even
as ACL. So my final take on this match is
it's a solid match, has the storytelling, the drama, and

(45:12):
just the right amount of chaos. So was it me friendly? No,
not for Seth Leans, but definitely were the revisit.

Speaker 1 (45:22):
Yeah, if you were Seth Allans doctor and it's rehabilitation specialist,
this was not to much you wanted to see him,
and if.

Speaker 2 (45:30):
You're his knee, you do not want to revisit this match.

Speaker 1 (45:35):
But like, I like talking through it and seeing the pictures,
like reliving everything, even though we did rewatch it, but
it's like it's been a while and if he's been
following us, Maria gave birth to our son, so we've
had a little bit of time off and it's been
a while since we watched it and took our notes
and things like that. So I had to reach out

(45:56):
my memory and I'm like, yeah, I do recommend people
go back and want just witch solid match, and with
this it takes us to match number seven seven. Right,
we have the Randy Or versus Bray Wyatt for the
WWE Championship, which is right now, the Smankedown Championship. And

(46:18):
this match goes for ten minutes and thirty seconds.

Speaker 2 (46:25):
This is tough.

Speaker 1 (46:27):
Okay, let me know why and stuff, but go on.

Speaker 2 (46:30):
Well, I'm a fan of Randy Orton and rest in peace.
B Yes, some of the imagery was kind of like
not weird, but just like the large roaches line, can
we swap them out for centipede?

Speaker 1 (46:44):
I don't know, like this larvae right here?

Speaker 2 (46:46):
Yeah, the larvae was too large? Maybe smaller?

Speaker 1 (46:50):
Okay, we'll we'll get into a little bit more, but
go ahead. What did it work for you? What didn't
you want? It looks like?

Speaker 2 (46:57):
Did I like seeing Randy Orton that moment where he
sets phrase what was that a cottage or his his
hut or his shack shack on fire? And then he
does that look back and he does his like legendary.

Speaker 1 (47:13):
He does his posy more.

Speaker 2 (47:15):
In pose like and he looks back at us.

Speaker 1 (47:18):
That's pretty cool, I guess when Maria is saying this,
If you want to go back story, just watch the
sizzle reel, like it just you up to this match
where you can see, right, and like the build up
to this match was good. I'm not gonna like say
that it isn't like if you watch the Scissle reel,

(47:40):
you saw like the build up to this match. It
was a good build up. It just failed in the ring.
And this is like the second time where something I
feel fails in the ring, Like the first match that
they had John Cena versus Bray White, I think also fails.

Speaker 2 (47:58):
The actual match is like, you know, Randy doing his
legendary rkos. I hit rkos. That's all that we're seeing.
Bray He's projecting these giant worms on the mat. That's
extra scary, right, So you know the audience is like,
what's going on? What's the highlight? Was there a highlight
for you besides the sizzle? Right?

Speaker 1 (48:19):
I think this when Randy Orton comes out, I didn't
get it, but that's the post that Maria is talking about.
But I couldn't see it. I couldn't get a good
picture of it. But when on the long ramp they
had that viper, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (48:34):
That's not really slow. It was really a really odd
like photo of the Viper That was strange, So was
it worth revisiting? Was it WRESTLINGIA thirty three worthy? I
would say the feud was definitely worthy.

Speaker 1 (48:51):
It just failed in the ring, right.

Speaker 2 (48:53):
Yeah, the worm power point that we saw on the
mat not so much. And then the match itself only
if you think bray Wyant's bugging TikTok is hired.

Speaker 1 (49:03):
So yeah, I think I don't know, Like I like
the character that when the bray Wyatt brings to us
like bray Wyitt, some guy who might have some supernatural
forces helping them, just like the Undertaker did, it's pretty spooky,
and you know, the character they'd he made was pretty good,

(49:25):
especially what we're gonna get a little bit later on.
But I don't know what it is that. I don't
know if Vince felt like the character wasn't like melding
or winning over fans. Because we get the interaction before
all the matches where we get everyone turning on their
cell phone flashlight, we see all the fireflying quote unquote, and.

Speaker 2 (49:44):
For that, I think that that is the reason why
Brian should have probably won this.

Speaker 1 (49:49):
Match, as my opinion, and I'm with you too, because
Randy's been at this already for like this is twenty seventeen,
so either fifteen sixteen years right, and normally throughout this match,
we've got like the older guys putting people over, just
like Jericho putting Kevin Owen's over because he's the younger guy,

(50:10):
putting over Seth Rollins because he's the younger guy and
he knows he needs that thing. And just to have
like great whitt lose again.

Speaker 2 (50:19):
I'm a major fan of Randy. Randy of Randy love
is our chamo. But to see him win, like you said,
the audience was like really hot for him, and we
saw those lights in the audience. That's like a wrestling moment,
you know. That was like a good wrestling in a
thirty three moment for everybody just to like kind of

(50:40):
bond and have their lights out there like that. So
I thought he should have won, Randy should have taken
a loss. But with that, what can you say? Was it?
What do you tell people to rewatch?

Speaker 1 (50:51):
No? I wouldn't tell anyone to rewatch that one, just
because I feel like it's like a disservice to any
of the like work that bray White had done to
like the characters wrestler he's a good wrestler, and he's
able to tell good stories through all of his like
segments and ring segments, recorded segments, vignettes, whatever you want

(51:12):
to call him, like promos. Yeah, and unfortunately we can't
get any more time with him. We just have this
what is this twenty twenty since twenty seventeen when you
got like six more years, but I think only five
more WrestleManias.

Speaker 2 (51:29):
So with that, we're taking you to this next match,
which is a match that you were looking forward to watching.

Speaker 1 (51:38):
Brock Lessener versus Goldberg, and this match goes for four
minutes and forty five seconds. I will tell you that
I love the length of this match. I was not
looking forward to this match when I first watched it

(51:58):
live back in twenty seventeen.

Speaker 2 (52:02):
But what about you, You weren't a fan of this match.

Speaker 1 (52:05):
I was not a fan of brock Lessener coming back
and taking the belt from Kevin Owens. I was not
a fan of Goldberg trying to give himself one more run,
which was supposed to be kind of close to his
retirement match.

Speaker 2 (52:20):
Okay, well, let's suplex our way into this review. Let's
talk about this match, because that's what we saw, Yeah,
there's a bunch of suplexes, a bunch of Germans suplexes.

Speaker 1 (52:30):
We saw a bunch of German suplexes. I think they
counted like ten. So so we know that.

Speaker 2 (52:36):
These wrestlers are brawlers. You know, we're not really seeing
a lot of technical wrestling from these two.

Speaker 1 (52:43):
We really shouldn't, but we I think we do get
one technical move, unless I'm wrong. I couldn't remember. I
couldn't remember if you put them into a cur kuda.

Speaker 2 (52:54):
But I think the match time for this is appropriate.

Speaker 1 (52:57):
Is appropriated, and especially since Colberg had already won like
the first two encounters with brock Lesner.

Speaker 2 (53:04):
So that's shorter than your normal bathroom break.

Speaker 1 (53:06):
Yeah, so we start at the match. Brock Lesner hits
like three German soup lexes in a row, and normally,
like if you've been a fan of wrestling and you're
rewatching this with us, first of all, thank you again
for staying with us for this long. We're like two
matches away from the end. But if you like what
you're hearing, you like with you know, support us, give

(53:27):
us a like. It helps us for YouTube to find
put us out there in the algorithm. And subscribe so
we can go ahead, and then this is a pre recorder.
We normally do these live, and when we like to
do these live because we get a lot of interaction,
we get a lot of feedback from your fans. So
but this match normally, Goldberg like, he can't go along.

(53:51):
We've already known that, so because they tried having long
matches and anything past ten minutes just goes down to drink.
But for him to rec they have that spot where
he gets three German supplexes and then he hits Brocklesner
with the spear and the way Brocklesner sells that and
he's just like, oh my god, what happened? And then
he hits him with another spear and then Brocklensener rolls

(54:13):
out of the ring and then he's like trying to
catch his breath and then Gilbert comes around, eats the
speed and then spears him through the barricade. You're like, okay,
this is a completely different match.

Speaker 2 (54:26):
Spears for German suplexus ten other moves. Lol, we didn't
get anything else.

Speaker 1 (54:32):
I think we got this at five the other move
here and that was at the end, So you're right,
I did. I was impressed that brock Lessener like pretty
much turns it around, maybe around the three minute mark
when Gilbert tries to go for one more spear after
he gets this gets brock Lessner out for this jackhammer

(54:55):
his finisher, and he tries to go for one more
spear and Brocklessener keeps over Goldberg. That was impressive, Yeah,
and then he ends up getting the F five and
depending the win. So I actually think I'm gonna recommend this.
It's just because you know, you just.

Speaker 2 (55:18):
Love NonStop car Yes, you're a fan of German splexes
and spears and and one five, this is the match
for you.

Speaker 1 (55:30):
Yeah, because like we get like a whole bunch of
things in here, Like normally we get like heavyweights touted,
like most recently the Logan paw in the Jake Pond
of Mike Tyson. They built up that match, they hyped
it up. You thought these guys were gonna go toe
to toe, and we're like, why didn't we believe a
fifty eight year old Mike Tyson would actually be going

(55:51):
out there throwing out like knockout punches, you know, but
this match actually delivers it.

Speaker 2 (55:59):
You can think of matches those cakes.

Speaker 1 (56:03):
But I recommend it. What about you, So.

Speaker 2 (56:07):
If you're expecting actual wrestling, there was not a lot
of the actual wrestling that we were just talking about.
Was this match ridiculously short? It was a hard hitting
slug fast and it felt like somebody pushed fast forward.
Wasn't worthy? I would say kind of. It was definitely

(56:28):
more fun than you think it would be. So with that,
I'd say, why not give this match a go and revisit.

Speaker 1 (56:36):
Then it's only like five minutes, but it's like not
the most boring five minutes. It's like action after action, a.

Speaker 2 (56:44):
True we saw a lot going on and within about
five minutes time. So with that would take you to
the next ladies match.

Speaker 1 (56:52):
Yeah, a six pack challenge. And we had the four
way earlier which was elimination, but this is different. This
is whoever gets the first pin, whoever gets the first
submission wins the title.

Speaker 2 (57:04):
I'm definitely a fan of a six pack challenge, usually
with an option of like Amodello or something like.

Speaker 1 (57:12):
That good one. But with this one, we have Becky Lynch, Mickey, James,
Alexa Bliss, Natalia, Carmela ny and making her angry return Naomi.
She was the previous champion and had to forfeit her

(57:34):
title after she was injured, and she worked her way
back and wehamped enough to make it back to be
at a WrestleMania that's in her hometown of Orlando.

Speaker 2 (57:45):
Also, how impressive did she look? Naomi looked amazing out there,
everything from like hair, her wrestling gear. I've always been
a fan of Naomi. I'm definitely a fan of Natty Natalia.
But she just like she was on fire during that match,
so I'm glad that she won. This match is five
minutes and thirty five seconds.

Speaker 1 (58:06):
This is also five minutes. Yeah, oh wow, So these
are all six women. You see Naomi's cut off there,
but Becky Lynch is doing her best channel like those
twins from the Matrix with the long dreadlocks.

Speaker 2 (58:22):
Ye had lost time in an Uber Eats delivery.

Speaker 1 (58:25):
Oh you get a newber Eats delivery like in five minutes.
That's pretty good. But here's the ladies. Alexa List was
a defending champion. I like this neck breaker here from
Mickey James, and there's Naomi there in the bottom.

Speaker 2 (58:41):
Too.

Speaker 1 (58:43):
We get this one's spy. Oh I think I deleted
it because it didn't I didn't like it at the end,
but this match is very fast paced because these ladies
don't have much to work with. We have the Undertaker
and Woman Manes coming out, and like I mentioned earlier,
this is like one of the times where I'm disappointed
because we've started like this Women's Revolution from one of

(59:04):
the horsewomen that is there.

Speaker 2 (59:05):
Revolution will not.

Speaker 1 (59:07):
Mickey Yah, Becky Lynch, and Mickey James. I praised her
for her match that she had with Tristratus. I think
that was WrestleMania twenty two. So it's been a long
time coming in for Mickey James, especially to have the
short match after how long she's been in the business too.
Very disappointed, but I've got a lot of near falls

(59:28):
where people are being pulled off. This is one instance.
But eventually the winner is Naomi. She's a two time
Women's SmackDown champion.

Speaker 2 (59:39):
Yeah's she has been a strong wrestler since her tag
team days.

Speaker 1 (59:43):
She was the best out of her and the other one,
Cameron was So I would ask what did you think
about this match?

Speaker 2 (59:50):
I thought it was a solid match. Was it WrestleMania
worthy though? No, no, I wasn't. I was short five
minutes and thirty five. So and you know, I think
this match was a filler match. Did it do what
it was supposed to do. She took that win, which
is good. Everyone looked great. We got some quick wrestling

(01:00:11):
in for five minutes and thirty five seconds, chaotic, fast paced.
I could have gone for like maybe ten minutes, but
like I said, Naomi's win, that feels pretty good and
that's all I got for that one.

Speaker 1 (01:00:25):
Yeah, and I agreed that. Don't recommend anyone go back
and watch this match. This match didn't have enough time.

Speaker 2 (01:00:32):
For his trajectory like her wrestling trajectory.

Speaker 1 (01:00:35):
Yeah, I can see that, then watch it. But if
they had more time, which I'm going to actually like
criticize it because the next match shouldn't really have as
much time as it gets if they went three minutes. Yeah,
the Undertaker versus Roman Mayn's match, I think who.

Speaker 2 (01:00:52):
Asked for that? Did you ask for that? And no,
you asked for that match?

Speaker 1 (01:00:57):
Tell us drop it into comments, let us know why
you were excited and we're wanting for the Undertaker and Roman.

Speaker 2 (01:01:04):
Roman was retired after we saw him lose to Barack Lessner.

Speaker 1 (01:01:09):
Yeah, and that was two wrestleman years ago. But next match,
Roman rains Undertaker. This match went for twenty three minutes
and two seconds. We have fifty two year old Undertaker
in this match, trying to put over the young pup.

(01:01:32):
Roman reigns, this is his yard now, this saw stemmed
from the royal rumble Undertaker and him fased off. Undertaker said,
this is my yard and he threw he threw Roman
reins over the top rode. But Roman remains hung on,
snuck in and threw the Undertaker out.

Speaker 2 (01:01:50):
Undertaker moving like a Windows ninety eight loading screen. Yep.

Speaker 1 (01:01:54):
So with this, what did you think? What do you
have anything?

Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
I was disappointed at this matchup. So we see Roman
carrying the match and the guilt of the you know,
legend Undertaker as a legend. You know, was I disappointed
in his loss to WrestleMania's ago. Yes, I'm still talking
about it still makes me mad just to think about it.
I think that they should have picked somebody else to

(01:02:20):
wrestle and put over Roman. But here we are watching this.
What do you think about it?

Speaker 1 (01:02:25):
We don't get that much offense from the Undertaker or
from Roman remains from the beginning. Excuse me, Undertaker, this
is a no holds barred match. So the Undertakers giving headbutts.
They take it outside for a little bit. The Taker's
coming out strong, giving them his punches. He does his
snake eyes routine on Roman raises where he throws them

(01:02:49):
his head drops onto the turnbuckle or the ropes.

Speaker 2 (01:02:52):
Right, but excuse me one second, what if it didn't.

Speaker 1 (01:03:00):
It shouldn't be. But people, this is video once and
they got to see what I did. It was just coughing.
I coughed and then I pressed the cough button if
you're listening, and managed to figure out what I was doing. Yeah.
So yeah, So the Undertaker is pretty much putting this

(01:03:22):
guy over. He's putting Roman Reigns over, but the crowd
is not into it. There's changing Roman Sucks, and this
is like the Undertaker is kind of the antagonist, but
it's more like those anti heroes where you kind of
should be the bad guy, but people are chaining for
you because they hate Roman Reigns a bit more. And
I feel like this match is about two years too late,

(01:03:44):
Like maybe if they had kept the streak alive and
not giving it to Brock Lesner, because I don't think
Lesnar really needed that win over the Undertaker. But this
probably would have been a better way to give a
little bit more prestige to Roman Reigns, to just have
that blood have that special thing about him like he

(01:04:06):
was or he should have been the only one to
be the Undertaker, if you because this is just Vince
continuing to push Roman Reigns. He sees something and eventually
it all comes through the fruition. I had alluded to
his earlier that it wasn't until he embraced being a heel,

(01:04:30):
just like when The Rock embraced being a heel that
they were able to take off in their careers. And
they're kind of similar, like once Roman Reigns found that
nobody liked him and embraced that whole blood line, now
we have that whole thing, and this is pretty much
what should have happened in this match, Like if Roman
real Roman Reigns had come out more as a heel,

(01:04:53):
this match probably would have been able to be a
little bit better than what it was. But I also
don't understand why it's a no holds barred match, Like
I know there's probably the animosity there, the respect that
they're trying to gain because this is the Undertaker's yard
and he's like the locker room general like he regulated
and now Roman Reigns is trying to like go through that.

(01:05:15):
But it's unnecessary for it to be a no holds
barred match, like if this had been a retirement match,
which has been thought that this was going to be,
and we're shown because Roman Reigns does win. If you
haven't figured out when when Roman wins gets the second
win over the end of Taker at the WrestleMania I.

Speaker 2 (01:05:35):
Like your take on this because, like you said, wwe
clearly had the right said in the future, somebody you know,
had it that that this guy was going to take
it all in these years. Here we are in twenty
twenty four. But like you said, we saw a sign
in the audience when they first opened up. They were
booeying him. Fans were ensure that they were ready to

(01:05:57):
ride this train yet. So I just had to say
again what a difference of yours makes, because now he's
at the top of the ring.

Speaker 1 (01:06:05):
Yeah, and this is what I got the picture this
Normally when the wrestler leaves their gear, you know.

Speaker 2 (01:06:10):
What I thought of. I thought that this is like
do you remember was it the Wizard.

Speaker 1 (01:06:16):
Of oz oh No, but this is a Russian tradition. Normally,
when the wrestler retires, they leave their gear, the wrestling boots,
wow and everything in the ring on Triple H had
actually done this too, and other wrestlers like us simply

(01:06:38):
the Badass Billy Gunn and a W did that and
everyone thought he was going to retire, and he probably
wanted to retire, but I think they convinced him to
keep going for a little bit more with the aplaim.

Speaker 2 (01:06:49):
Did Undertaker come back after that?

Speaker 1 (01:06:51):
Yes, he has one more match or a few more.

Speaker 2 (01:06:54):
Because we saw him in forty so I don't know
why I'm asking.

Speaker 1 (01:06:57):
Well, that wasn't a match, it was more like a
cameo in. But still he does have one more WrestleMania
match during the COVID time. Yeah, so I think that's
thirty seven, so we have that. But he also has
another match in Saudi Arabia at one of the Crown Jewels,
which is one of the worst matches where him and

(01:07:19):
Kane versus Triple H and HBK. You're a fan of HBK,
so if you want to go back and revisit and okay,
but overall, I do not recommend that anyone go back
and revisit this match just because it's too long. The
Undertaker has also admitted that he was not in ring
shape and that's why he keeps going. Yeah, because he

(01:07:42):
wants to have like that one final good match.

Speaker 2 (01:07:46):
So some big moments for this match Undertaker mess the
tombstone reversal, which looked awkward and painful.

Speaker 1 (01:07:52):
Exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
We talk about Roman seventy three spears because if it
doesn't work, try seventy two more. I don't looking to
defeed us take your folds, his gloves and his hat
like you were talking about. We just saw that image,
which is pretty impactful. That he's done, but done for now,
he said. He goes on to Russell two more times.
Was it WrestleMania worthy? Was it worth revisiting? Sort of

(01:08:18):
match quality? Was kind of mad for me, more sad
Mania than WrestleMania. What about you?

Speaker 1 (01:08:24):
Yeah, I mentioned I'll go back and watch this one.

Speaker 2 (01:08:26):
Yeah, so sometimes I forget tell listen whoops.
