We're sitting here in the Native Entertainment Store and we've
got a very special guest with us today. Why don't
you introduce yourself to the world and tell them what
you do.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
H is cell everybody, many of us covid bo Willie.
I'm from twade Lay in Mexico. I play guitar mainly
on the side. I'm also an e MT and engaged
that three little girls and is here to talk about
my music.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
We brought him into the store because we wanted to
fight out a little bit more about if he plays
awesome guitar. We he was. He's been sending us YouTube
clips for the past few months, and so we decided
we gotta get this guy in here. So if you
can see behind me, we got some guitars brought his.
He's gonna play a little bit. It's gonna wail a
little bit on the ax for us. I'm not really
sure what are you gonna play some?

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Uh, I'll just improvise and plays plays some stuff.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
So you're gonna you're gonna switch from death metal to
record punk rock to a ballad.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
We'll do some a lot of instrumental stuff. I use
a loop pedal, so loop a little intro or something
and a loop over and over and I just solo
over it.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Okay, So what inspired you to start playing music? How
long have you played? Oh?

Speaker 1 (02:24):
I've been playing fifteen years. Metallica, Metallica. My mom got
me my first metallicacy when I was a kid. Oh yeah,
so there you go, Happy birthday. Put that thing in
and go to the city.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Reload, reload.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
I'm forgiving tours a song that did.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Okay, I didn't really like that album.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
I get that a lot. One of my favorite albums.
I don't know what it is about it. Yeah, I
love it. I told my dad, you know, I want
to play guitar, went to local pun shop, bought the
most crappiest beat up guitar there, but I loved it.
Played a lot of Metallica, did that for like ten years.
There's just nothing but Metallica. I wanted to write my

(03:03):
own stuff. A lot of people said it sounded too
much like them. Of course, didn't like that, so I
took into all genres of music.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
So like the style was more like Metallica, like Kirk Grahmitt,
the way Kirk Grammet plays or everything.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Everything I was writing was like that, yeah, and that's
not good. Yeah, So listen to everything. All types of
genres of music finally matured when it came to listening
to music. So picked up classical, a lot of acoustic
stuff and started playing and just whatever came out started

(03:35):
getting people's attention, still getting used to.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
This guy's played for four years in front of people
publicly out there, but this is his first time being interviewed.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Yeah. I just like to play. I'm not trying to.
I don't really care if.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
I'm but nobody's ever like come to you and say, hey,
let's do an interview, Let's get you a newspaper, let's
get do an interview with you before you played.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
No, hmm, well, I don't really care about being famous.
This goes anywhere. I just I enjoy playing.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Well, it's not about being famous, it's about like, like
music lovers like me. I like to fight out. I
watch like Guitar Center sessions. I like to hear what's
going on in somebody's brain. I like to hear what
they're thinking about when they're playing their life, their struggles
or ups and downs. You really need to get in
front of the camera.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
More, get more interviews. I want to see more of.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
You, So you don't have any ambitions of starting the band.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
If it happens, it happens. I just like I said,
I enjoyed playing.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
So if let's say, for example, right now, you you
can have you can decide whether or not you wanted
a band or not, and you would you like to
have a band or nothing?

Speaker 1 (04:39):
I would, yeah, but it can't be this style of music.
What's what would it be? That's a heavy metal band?

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Okay, So it has to be a heavy metal band. Yeah,
all right, So one of these days you're planning on
have forming a band.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Are you?

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Are you ever thinking about getting in front of a mic?
Or you just want to be on the guitar the guitar.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Player, okay?

Speaker 2 (04:58):
And what a genre of metal?

Speaker 1 (05:00):
It doesn't matter, you know, I'm gonna play whatever and
whatever comes out. People can say whatever it is, okay,
as long as I'm as long as it's a good
groove and I'm enjoying it awesome.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Anything else we want to tell people before we cut
out and let you shred a little bit.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
I just hope you guys enjoy this as much as
I do. That's about it and if you're picking up,
if you're playing, don't put it down and just keep
at it. It's not easy. It's a lot of fun.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Play. Tell your fingers bleed, and some day you appear
on Native entertainment magazines covered to to testify. This is
the Brutal Music Issue. Remember to get this at anymagazine
dot nets and we'll be right back. We're gonna check
out what you guys to play.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Hello, everybody coping again. I'm gonna play you guys some
stuff here, all right, So it is might set up
if you guys want to check this out. There's a
little loop pedal here. This is the loop pedal that
I use when I play little the stor pedal and
a little wamp pedal. Just loop paddle here. It makes
it sound like there's another guitar player, so I just
play alone so it'll sounds like there's two. So this

(06:08):
is what it does.
