Diesen Wirbel wird Donald Trump wohl auch in seiner zweiten Amtszeit als US-Präsident nicht los. Der demokratische Abgeordnete Shri Thanedar aus dem US-Bundesstaat Michigan hat sieben Amtsenthebungsartikel gegen US-Präsident Donald Trump eingereicht. In seiner Anklageschrift wirft er dem Präsidenten "weitreichenden Machtmissbrauch, eklatante Verfassungsverstöße und tyrannische Handlungen, die die amerikanische Demokratie untergraben" vor.
Shri Thanedar vertritt seit 2023 den 13. Kongressbezirk von Michigan, der Detroit und Teile des Wayne County umfasst. Der 70-jährige indische Einwanderer kam in den 1970er Jahren in die USA, um einen Doktortitel in Chemie zu erwerben, und wurde später amerikanischer Staatsbürger.
