"Hush, Little Baby" is a lullaby where a mother promises to buy her baby a series of increasingly grand gifts - a mockingbird, diamond ring, looking glass, billy-goat, cart and bull, dog named Rover, and a horse and cart - to keep the baby from crying. Ultimately, even if all the gifts fail, the lullaby assures the baby that it will still be loved as "the sweetest little baby in town."
