La minaccia delle “armi zombie”, gli ordigni inesplosi post-conflitto

L’autore, inviato storico de “La Repubblica” in molti teatri di guerra negli ultimi decenni, fa una disamini dell’eredità dei conflitti, soffermandosi con dati ed esempi, sugli ordigni inesplosi che spesso lasciano uno strascico di sangue negli anni successivi la cessazione del conflitto.Dalle cluster bomb (il cui utilizzo risale al 1935), agli UXO alle mine anti-personale abbandonate, dalla Spagna alla Cambogia all’Afghanistan, i conflitti del ventesimo secolo e quelli del nuovo millennio lasciano sul terreno delle “armi zombie” in grado di uccidere dopo la cessazione delle ostilità, una conferma, secondo l’autore, che l’eredità della guerra è sempre di distruzione.
