Speaker 1 (00:00):
Actually, uh so, like always, we're going to be starting
(00:03):
out with a quiz. What is what'd you get?
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Last time?
Speaker 1 (00:10):
He did poorly?
Speaker 2 (00:10):
I did poorly. I think I managed maybe. Wow.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
Well, hopefully you do a little bit better on this one.
We'll see you shall see, all right. I tried to
mix it up, get some city folks, some new leaf,
some original. So I didn't want to.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
You know, he didn't want to fail me.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Well I didn't. I don't know what games you played
specifically or all? Did you play it? Okay? Question number one,
Animal Crossing is actually a part of a Nintendo sixty
four title? What was that game called?
Speaker 2 (00:48):
I knew you were going to ask me this, and
I was supposed to look.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
It up and I did not nice.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
I know it pictures to it and everything. I don't
know what it's called. It's something something for pick a
guess this, uh.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
For for an All right, Well, I'm not gonna give
it to you. It is animal forest. Did is that
the same thing? That's okay? Number two? In the Japanese version,
you can break into tom nooks after they close using
(01:27):
what against the door? I would think, yeah, an ax,
that is wrong. It is a shovel it doesn't seem
an axe would have been much better. Number three is okay?
In Smash we you what is used in the villagers
(01:48):
up air and down air attacks in the air the
same the same object, kind of like how pac Man
has his ghosts.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
No, no, no, no.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
I'll give you one more, just because I'm nice. It's
a turn up.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
This isn't good.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
I don't know. I'm really worried. Number four, I think
you'll get this question is near and dear to my heart,
my wife's heart, because we played animal Crossing, And I
think you'll get it right. Number four, Who does Rossetti
work for? Do you know who Rossetti is? Okay, so
(02:47):
it comes up. Can I have a moment of your time?
I work for the blank blank center. You're one of
those people's just and it's like an hour, the hour
of you tapping buttons the Reset Surveillance Center. I oh really?
(03:09):
Number five?
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Did I get a point?
Speaker 1 (03:14):
They have zero? Point zero? You've never had zero? Two
is your lowest?
Speaker 2 (03:20):
Right?
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Okay? I felt like these were all right. Number five,
especially the last one. What country led to the alpacas
being added to New Leaf? Australia Japan? I feel like
that was kind of. Alpacas are huge in Japan. They
(03:42):
are they huge, very trending. If I did a card
game with alpaca's boomed today. Number six, Oh for five?
Right now? How do you acquire Mario themed items in
city folk?
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (04:07):
Sorry? Uh see, I remember getting some.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
When you.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
I remember digging up some or getting from the balloon
or from like the mailman.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Okay, well you can't say five things, so pick one.
It was shoot down ballots. Oh you hit it? Oh,
it's too bad. Number seven? Which animal has the highest
amount of neighbor characters?
Speaker 2 (04:48):
So?
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Like, are there more bears?
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Are there?
Speaker 1 (04:50):
More dogs?
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Are there?
Speaker 1 (04:51):
More cats? Are there? More sheep?
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Are there? More cows?
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Well, think about it.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
But I'm going to guess we'll get I mean, you know,
think of it.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Think about.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
I'm gonna say rabbit.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
The answer is cats.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Okay, I see now.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
Yeah, wow, that's a tough one.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
I mean, if you think about it after I give
you the answer, you're like, oh, I can probably name Yeah,
this is sand all right. Number eight, I have a
lot of rabbit friends video Okay. Gyroids are extremely similar
to an item used from Japanese culture in what process? Yeah,
(05:54):
I know it's hard. So they look like something used
in this in the blank process, blank process. They look
similar to something in the cooking process. And you know
what I mean, like that kind of thing burial. Why
(06:16):
so when someone dies they make a clay little figure
with a mouth like that kind of it's like a
ghost fire hydrant thing, and it's supposed to represent their
kind of not pet in the spirit world. But guide
it looks creepy and how did you get it? You
(06:37):
dug it up, also implying that it's from the burial rich.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
Or something else. Cultural.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
We're on nine. This is trying to get harder. At
the end you're supposed to get like boom, boom boom.
All right, number nine in new leaf, what happens at
three point thirty three a m. On Sundays and Mondays
(07:05):
in the house. We'll say I'll do that in the
house staticy Okay, I won't finish the zero. Oh, it's
great news. That's great news.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
I could have said record zero.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
I think one is still a record. I'm pretty sure.
All right, hopefully you get to you can match your
Kirby number ten. You want to head to the island.
How much is it round trip? In uh, I just
(07:50):
making sure you're no. No, I mean it's what newly
frame with the Yeah, a thousand, that's correct. Two out
of ten came in strong on the on the ends,
(08:10):
I know you'll do excellent on Metroid, which is the
next episode. No, I know for it, you'll do really
good on Metroid. But that was kind of disappointing. But
I'm glad you had some.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
I really enjoyed it.
Speaker 4 (08:28):
So.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Animal Crossing, which actually means Animal Forest in the direct translation,
is a simulation game developed and published by Nintendo where
you play the only human who moves to a village
inhmited by animalish people. You do various activities such as fishing,
(08:53):
bug catching, decorating, a lot of buying and selling for
a little while, do a little work, clean up the place,
get the weeds, chop down some trees, whenever. It's very
open ended gameplay uses the system's clock to simulate actual
passages of time. We talked about Rosetti, who I'm a
(09:18):
big cheater, right obviously, yeah, so, and I wanted to.
I don't know the game came out. When it came out,
it was like it was kind of a I think so,
but it was like a winter release, but I didn't
get until like January or something, right January February, and
(09:38):
I wanted to know what the New Year's party was like,
so I went a year into the future on my
game settings, like on my system settings, and that's when
good old risetti because I wanted to see the ball
drop in the game. And it is a pain to
(09:59):
get through his menus.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
It's entertaining if you read.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
It, but it is entertaining, but it's a I think
it's brilliant to have that like as we know what
you're doing kind of thing. And then when I finally
did get through, like there was it was a mess.
The town was a mess. There was weeds everywhere everywhere
I did, and then I had to reset again and
(10:23):
go through the whole process with Rosetti.
Speaker 4 (10:27):
Yeah, did you know that in Newly they actually did
not make that requirement because too many people cried because
of setting. Why they cried because I guess he was
mean in his speech, which is ironic because they're cheating.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
He starts town really nice, Can I have a moment
of your time?
Speaker 4 (10:48):
But when you keep doing it, it gets really like
he catches Auntie, like with the third fourth, fifth time,
he's like, what are you doing?
Speaker 2 (10:54):
And he's like screaming at you?
Speaker 4 (10:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Stop.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
People were crying. So are like, well, we won't make it.
If you want you to do this to you, he can,
I will choose.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Wow. So bullying. Yeah, he's a bully. Yes, So let's
talk about the characters. We're gonna go over the first game.
The first three were the first three games all console.
How they come out? Well, no, I mean, are we
counting Nintendo sixty four with would you call it Forest
(11:28):
Animal Life?
Speaker 2 (11:32):
I'm sure Japanese translation.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
You're way off the first game, which I don't know.
I think it's still my favorite. Oh yeah. The first
game sold two point three two one million copies. Yes,
something not known, so two point three two million, Wild World,
(11:56):
which one is that?
Speaker 2 (11:58):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (11:58):
Okay, DS eleven point seven to three million, Huge City
Folk doesn't talk Wild World, but three point three eight million,
and then New Leave. We're looking at eight point seventy
three so far. That's insane because there's less people with three, right,
(12:24):
So that means in total, Animal Crossing as a franchise,
which is what we're talking about today, has sold twenty
four point one five million units. Worldwide, just four games.
It's no Call of Duty numbers. But for that kind
of game, that's a big deal because we've talked on
the show about like Harvest Moon, like we like games
(12:48):
like yeah, we like games like that. I don't know why,
like you're taking you're literally working for on a TV yep,
for make money. But it's just, uh, I don't know,
I've always enjoyed that kind of game, even with sim City.
When I was younger, I played sim City like crazy.
(13:13):
But I mean it's led to a lot of spinoff
franchise stuff, So I mean he's you know, we have
the Villager in Smash. They also have Monster Hunter four
Ultimate has Isabelle and mister Rossetti.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
So I mean it's just it's definitely uh had his
own type of.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Cult Mario cart eight yep.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
And it's really it's really interesting because it's not it's
nothing like the Sims. You don't it's not. I don't,
at least to me, I don't feel like it's as involved,
you know what.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
It's a lot like like you know we talked about
in the Sims episode, but those really bad ports my Sims.
My SIMS kind of took a chunk out of animal
crossing to make it l even art style wise, they
took it a little bit.
Speaker 4 (14:04):
Yeah, but I think it's because animal crossing is just
so simple compared to harvest more than sims.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
Mm.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
That's just what people like.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
It's really a social and now it's become a very
social game because of the online play, right, and it's
almost it's almost like the game now is let me
show off what I have and what I can do
and what I've.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Done to my town.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Okay, kind of how Minecraft is, Yeah, because.
Speaker 4 (14:34):
You know, like with some of the features, like how
you can pass somebody else's third yes, and you can
actually visit their house like newly Fless you hold up
to fifty houses and you can just see like all
these different people's houses, and you can buy stuff.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
Out of the house that you like.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
Hm.
Speaker 4 (14:50):
So it's kind of a bragging game, bragging, social, chill,
relaxed game, but you really can't def But it's just
I don't know if for me it's just simple. What
got me into the franchise was I just thought it
was interesting that the premise of the game was you
(15:13):
live in a village of human and you're just socializing
with these game characters.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
But for me, so you think the game is more
like the object was to socialize. To me, the goal
was to pay off my house. And if anything, these
games can teach people a lot financially, Like, financially you
work hard, well, you work hard. I was in a coma.
My character was in a coma. How about that? You
(15:41):
work hard, you make money, you pay off your debt.
That's the game. A crook, Tom Nook is a good gug.
Apparently he's.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
A white collar animal criminal.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
Okay, you know you pay off your dad and he's like,
oh yeah, upgrade, Yeah, no problem.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
Oh by the way, when I'm finished, you owe me
nine hundred bells. Nine hundred thousand bells.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Right, Okay, that is a bit much.
Speaker 4 (16:14):
You can't tell me because I might not have done it.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
I feel like everything I earned.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
An Animal Cross like it's all going towards your your
dad that you didn't even really Or.
Speaker 4 (16:25):
I could just live in my efficiency home and just
have all the clothes.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
Yeah, like me, I have my small house that does
what it needs to do. Payments are low, live within
my means, and I learned that from Animal Crossing. I
don't need Tom Nick coming over here. And want to
add additions to my house.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
Yeah, but you kind of want.
Speaker 1 (16:47):
I was weird. I didn't do that. What'd you spend
a lot of your time doing? How did you earn bells?
Speaker 2 (16:53):
Digging up fossils?
Speaker 1 (16:55):
Oh you're a fossil guy.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
And trying to catch expensive bucks.
Speaker 1 (16:59):
Oh say, I was was really fish related. Everything was
fish related.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
Just it just ticked me off way too many.
Speaker 4 (17:08):
But I mean the collectibles were really interesting for me,
especially because of the seasons.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
You know you're gonna get certain ones in real time.
Speaker 4 (17:17):
So yeah, I guess for me, it was like, it's winter,
I'm gonna get everything I can possibly get in the water.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
Now, I might take a few weeks off spring comes around,
I'm back into the game. That's is how it was
for me.
Speaker 4 (17:31):
Okay, whatever extra fossils and insects and fish I had,
I sold them and then went to Tom.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
Do everything went to Tom next. So his stir kept
getting better and.
Speaker 4 (17:43):
Yeah that was yeah, yeah, so you can buy more
stuff putting at home that he's struggling for.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
It was actually I mean, it's a game of capitalism.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
Real, but I mean I did it.
Speaker 4 (17:56):
I did enjoy talking to the characters because they had
some humor to them, and they kind of have their
own in game personality, Like there were a couple of
them that just had bad attitudes and I always wanted
you to go do something for him, and we're just
bossy and it's just it's kind of fun. It's cute,
but focusing on in particular, like the first one on GameCube,
(18:22):
what was really nice about it was a soundtrack.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
That's a really good soundtrack. I don't even know if
I maybe you haven't noticed it, but.
Speaker 4 (18:33):
Because you know that every hour the music changed for
the hour and so like and you kind of get
this more chill, relaxed, time to slow down and just
head back home and chill. And in the morning's broke
more wake up E than in the afternoon.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
It's kind of like up.
Speaker 4 (18:48):
Eat in real tempo. And I don't know it just
it's a game like I would come home from school
or and just play for an hour and be like, Okay,
I don't need to play hours. I don't need to
play every day, but I don't feel like pressure to
do anything like Sim's like you we talked about before,
like gotta woke the character up, make sure they got
(19:10):
to go to sleep. You don't gotta make sure it
goes to the bathroom, gotta make sure they get to
work on time, and then sit there through the simulation
of them being.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
At work, and then do it all over when they
come back home. It just felt like such a chore.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
Now, Harvest was a little bit different because you know,
you're choosing what you wanna do throughout the day. If
you don't wanna do anything, fine, but you're not gonna
get anything accomplished. And an animal crossing, it's perfectly fine
to just walk around town talk and see what everybody's
saying and turn it off. HM, And I don't think
you can say that about any other game.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
Agree.
Speaker 4 (19:43):
So. But then with the DS Wild World, Uh, same
same game.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
But they had to be online where I could actually
invite three people to my town or I could go
to somebody else's town.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
And you saw a lot of creativity and the way
people were designing their towns, their homes and just being
able to talk to 'em. I mean that in that
game you could text Chad, you could actually voice chat.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
It was kind of interesting. I'm sure many people wish
Nintendo didn't have their restrictions where you know, you gotta
get their friend code and add them. It's like, how
do I even do that if I don't go to
some form or blog or whatever, Yeah, get their code
to add them. They're still like that to this day.
Speaker 4 (20:29):
But if you were fortunate enough to get people to
come to your town and go to source town, and
it was quite the experience, and city Folk carried over
that same idea over.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
Just better graphics. Hm.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
However, city Folk, which I think the sales kind of
reflects compared to Wild World, cause I mean, we know
the weis sold like hotcakes, but.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
And I mean I guess there a million is a
respectable number, but out of a hundred million, wheeze. Right.
Speaker 4 (21:06):
The thing was, it didn't change anything from wild Wood.
It was just a more colorful wife screen version. Yeah yes,
so oh.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
Even the reviews reflected that, like it's it feels kind
of like a uh, I don't even know, just like
a not like a port.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
But cause they did ad where you can go down
to the city and like get your shoe shine and
change your hair, but it wasn't enough to like really
for like a new game.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
Hm. So mm, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (21:38):
And then New Leaf completely changed the game because now
you were the mayor.
Speaker 1 (21:43):
Of the town, right, have you played New Leaves? Uh?
Speaker 2 (21:45):
Yeah, no you haven't, so you've only played the game
you wan Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
Oh okay, wow, And I was fine with that. I
could probably still play right now.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
Actually, yeah, I definitely want that.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
Uh cause I'm actually you know, we just had fallen
Stagg and my wife was trying to get something and
everything she got me I just returned. It was like,
you can have your money back, but I I think
I'm going to have to get a GameCube. Yeah cause
I mean with you know, like I have a remulator
(22:15):
on my computer, but just it's not the same.
Speaker 4 (22:19):
No.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
Uh, it's either a PS two or a GameCube. So
next time you come over, I'll have one of the
two hooked up right there.
Speaker 4 (22:27):
We'll see well newly if you were the mayor of
the town, so you get to make all the decisions
of what was going on. You got to decide where
certain things get be built at all the little different
buildings that you saw in the other games, like the
Lost and Found Center, even like the cafe, things like that,
(22:47):
you had to get donations or put your money towards
it to get it built. Oh and you can even
change different rules in the town.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
So like you could said an ordinance where everything you
said is worth more, but everything costs more too, okay.
Or you could have an ordinance.
Speaker 4 (23:04):
Where everybody takes care of the town and plunge flowers
and picks weeds so your town will have no weeds
cleaning flowers.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Thanks.
Speaker 4 (23:15):
You can even set things where like the stores will
stay open later, but they'll open later, Okay. Different things
like that that just kind of felt you make makes
you feel like you have more control, more online accessibility
by not exactly having to have so many friend codes,
but you had to at least have them on.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
Your friends list, Okay, so you didn't have to be
so s s specific, more items and all the junk
like that, and you know, using all the three yes features.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
But uh, Newly has, which I'm impressed by the numbers
you read, has been really well received, m especially considering
like the last two like I said, weren't didn't really
change the formula. So like for me Newly, for when
I f when I first got it, like it was
n not a big deal to just come home and
(24:08):
play for like thirty minutes and just move on, just
like you know, all the other Animal Crossing games. You
even had like the island that you could go to
where you could give like really rare fish and you
could swim, you actually swim.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
Yeah, that's that was one of the big Uh.
Speaker 4 (24:26):
They were all type of like different little mini games
on the island, uh, which the first one had where
you could dig up any s classics. That was before
the age of virtual consoles and stuff like that. Yeah, so,
which was kind of cool cause sometimes I would just
turn out on just to play.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
Like the tennis game or yeah whatever.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
I did that too.
Speaker 4 (24:44):
So so those are your four main games of the series.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
Now I feel like I have to address Nintendo E three.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
Please could be the good time to do.
Speaker 4 (25:01):
I'm sure, like most of you out there listening were outraged.
I assurely was because up to the leading up to it,
you hear about your ebos and the cars.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
And if already they already announced that they were making
Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer. I believe it's called and
it's a strange game because you're designing.
Speaker 4 (25:21):
Other people's homes, right, I'm sure there's some meat to it,
at least I'm gonna hope, but I don't know.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
I don't know, like I feel like they're their whole
E three was about making stuff, you know what I mean.
You have the Maria Maker thing and the Home Designer thing.
It's just like, hm, I wanna I want a game,
like a real game.
Speaker 2 (25:43):
Yeah. I just I can't see there being a lot
of stub.
Speaker 4 (25:47):
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how that's received and
how I mean at this point, I think Animal Crossing
is iconic to the point where people will.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
Just buy anything animal Crossing. I guess we'll see. But
so that's that.
Speaker 4 (26:00):
So so you know, they're doing the whole mebo and
card thing, and then at towards the end of the
show they show you this Animal Crossing on Leave Beautiful
World HD, and then.
Speaker 2 (26:13):
You realize it's a board game, and it's like, really
that Boord game? Did we not just get Mario Party right?
Like really? And not only that, you have to have
the ambals to play it. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (26:26):
Now they're saying the game will be free, but you
have to buy the memo, so it's really not free.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (26:31):
But I just I don't understand why they felt, like,
I mean cause, like you know, like in our other
shows that we've done, like we talked about Sonic, meg Menmorial,
even Crash. They all did spin off type games after
a familiar game was released.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
H it. It gets people aware the franchise and then
you know, right.
Speaker 4 (26:58):
So I expected, but we haven't had a console animal
crossing in a while, and at this point it doesn't
seem like we're going to get one cause it feels
like Nintendo's ready to move on to.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
Their next generation system, right, so you're only gonna web
my appetite with an animal crossing home designing game and
a Mario party animal crossing game. It just doesn't make sense.
So I don't know. I I was. I was fully disappointed.
Speaker 4 (27:30):
I mean, I know a lot of people are gonna
buy their meebals, and I feel like Nintendo is really
HARKing on they. I mean, Amebo has been such a
success for them, nobody can deny that. But to to
just make an animal crossing game that requires Ambo, it's
such a disservice to the fans because we all know
how hard it is to get Ambos.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
Yeah, so you know, it would be like Mario Baker.
Speaker 4 (27:54):
You can't have it if you don't get Mario and
Luigi Amibos. You know, it's just it's just it's just
such an odd decision by Nintendo, and I guess it's
something they felt like they had to.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
Do because of the state that we use there. And
I don't know, I really don't know, but uh, I
mean to give some information on the Ammiaval game, it's
it's they.
Speaker 4 (28:15):
Come the They do stick to some of the familiarity
with animal crossing, like every day passes in the game
as a turn, so we have thirty ten thirty turns
in every game, and you're socialized, you're doing a lot
of the same things. You're just not in control. But
I mean that's pretty much all we have a have
(28:36):
about it.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
So I don't know how much fun this is really
gonna be.
Speaker 1 (28:41):
All I see is two disappointing titles.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
I do.
Speaker 4 (28:47):
And hopefully for the the next, the next, the new
Nintendo system coming.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
Maybe they already have something planned and ready for that.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
But it wouldn't have to be a lunch TI, I.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
Would hope, So I don't hope.
Speaker 1 (29:01):
So I don't know you name character. Actually this is
a PG show, so even my town I can't name.
Speaker 4 (29:11):
Even in the Nintendo world, you have to be rated
down very well. My character name was Luther, and I've
carried that name through all the games.
Speaker 1 (29:22):
Oh that's cool. Yeah, everything I do is inappropriate. So
I would love to tell you off the air.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
I guess I'll just wait to see it. You still
have the.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
Record, No, but I'll make them.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
I know.
Speaker 1 (29:35):
I know the name and I did the same thing on.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
Right now because of Ryan.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
It's bad. They both use very strong language.
Speaker 2 (29:47):
Your wife like both like coexists in the same town.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
Yeah, that's uh, I mean that was our That was
one of our go to games.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
Did you ever sabotage?
Speaker 1 (29:57):
Now I knew better you No, yeah, mm hmm.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
You just have my pitfalls for her to welcome to.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
Uh. So is this your favorite GameCube game? It's probably
my second.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
Why do you say that?
Speaker 1 (30:13):
Probably my Why is it my second?
Speaker 2 (30:19):
What's your first?
Speaker 1 (30:22):
My favorite GameCube game is called Custom Robo.
Speaker 2 (30:26):
Oh never played?
Speaker 1 (30:27):
Oh I've heard the things about it. Yeah, Custom Robo
is my favorite GameCube game. Uh, Animal Crossing is my second.
Very different games.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
No, Melee is different. Definitely my favorite game.
Speaker 1 (30:44):
Okay, but then Animal Crossing, gotcha? So it's your second.
It's your second Melee for me. It's completely social, So
I would have to put it three. It's not for me.
My number one has got to be something that can
be played by one entertaining the whole time. Melee can.
But it's just like, eh, I feel like I've beat
(31:05):
this so many times on the hardest level possible, you
know what I mean. That's because you ever entertain We
have not ever played Melee together. Maybe once I get
the game Keepe though you have a controller, it right,
we can do that live on the show. Even though
we've already done a smash by the show, we'll do
a customer robushow. Okay, so let's go over the aggregate
(31:31):
scores for the four Animal Crossing titles, and that's what
will end. On the first game, Animal Crossing received an
eighty six point Wild World got an eighty six point
two seven percent, so slightly higher, City Folk seventy three.
(31:54):
Huge chomp down, but as you said, sounds about right.
And the new leave highest rated eighty six point ninety three,
and you agree, I.
Speaker 2 (32:04):
Mean fairly consistently. I do agree with it, I.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
Mean very consistent. That kind of genre isn't for everyone,
so eighty six is probably a damn good score.
Speaker 4 (32:16):
Before we go, Yeah, did you ever indulge in the
KK Slider weekly.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
Musical thing. No you don't have a heart.
Speaker 1 (32:29):
Well, I just who is the time?
Speaker 2 (32:32):
What are you doing in nine o'clock on Saturday?
Speaker 1 (32:36):
Get rid for bed?
Speaker 4 (32:41):
I love KK Slider, and I think the rest of
the fans out there and all of our liquid gamers,
whether you like Nintendo or not, will agree the KK
Slider is awesome. He's a dog that plays a guitar
on a bench, who started from the bottom of works
as well, all the way up to owning his own club.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
All right, now that the man this has started, it's
time to say goodbye. Yes, what are you talking about?
Speaker 2 (33:06):
What do you mean?
Speaker 1 (33:08):
I saw the videos, but like I've seen all these
videos for yeah, skip.
Speaker 2 (33:15):
You don't you don't alright, it's the only way for
you to get music in your home. You listen to
him and he gives you a free recording of his
live performance.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
Yeah, I know. I I just don't care.
Speaker 2 (33:26):
So you mean your house has no music?
Speaker 1 (33:28):
I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (33:30):
Oh you're really rough in it.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
I mean it's a very tiny, tiny little house.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
You need to play lead, you ever, three guys, you
need to play lead? Mmm? You need.
Speaker 4 (33:45):
With the way you like to control things you need
to and you can freely cheat. What Iver said, messing
with you.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
I'll think about it, but I'm more focused on retroing
this room and getting a gamecub so I can play
a quidditch tournament and custom robo.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
What about I don't know, Okay, I was wondering. I
don't know anyway. On that note.
Speaker 1 (34:11):
On that note, you can find us on Twitter at
the Liquid Gamer. Make sure to click the little heart
