Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, and welcome to a new episode of the Liquid
Gamer Podcast. My name is Ryan. So I went and
did something really stupid today. I chose a game that
I've never played, and I own it. It's actually in

(00:22):
the system right now in a level I just made
the two minutes that I've been playing, and there's not
really a lot of creation done at this point. But
I'm in water. Let me swim out of here. Oh

(00:42):
I'm gonna die. So Dante's goal is to the entire
podcast is to just go straight, okay, straight and not
stop and not get killed. Okay, So I chose Minecramped,
you know, I mean, obviously, it is a huge franchise
that has spawned, you know, millions and millions of sales.

(01:07):
It's very popular. I'm trying to understand why, and I
don't know, you know, it kind of it kind of
falls into the same category that like Second Life and
things like that follow into for me, which is maybe
it's just something that I maybe something I just don't get, like,

(01:30):
it's just not it's not built for someone like me.
And I thought, you know, you think it would be
because I love to I love to build, and I
loved Legos and I like trying to be creative, you know,
like we talked about on fan Day.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Which is why you told me you picked this as well.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
He must be he must be upset, right, So the
goal for Dante is to not die. Becomes very difficult
because we actually are in nighttime right now, and I did.
I just took a bunch of hits from a spider,
those pesky spiders that everything just seems to respond in

(02:12):
the worst place. So your goal is to go just
one direction. I wish there was a compass, actually, because
then we could gauge if we're going in the same direction,
not turning out of the way. But most likely you
will run into zombie or two you may run into
a spider like I just did, and it will most

(02:32):
likely take a majority of your health. But that is
your goal during this game. I will do the well
on here, I'll just hand it off to you in
a second when I get to the top of this
mountain of cake. Okay, dress, Yeah, I did use the
candy theme. Well, now we gotta go. That's a skeleton. Well,

(02:54):
maybe we'll do it after I respond in a few seconds,
because I'm obviously going to not make it all right,
So if you would like to respawn and start your trivia,
because I did not. That was a creeper that got
me there at the end. Because I have not really
played this game and I'm new to the genre, I'm
trying to get into it. This will be an open

(03:17):
book quiz a first, the first of many. No, No,
you need to walk or your food's gonna run out
by the time though. Yeah, unless you'd like to find
the ingredients and make yourself some bread and craft, don't
drop that far. So you're just gonna go as straight

(03:38):
as possible always, you know, make a goal like maybe
the top of that mountain over there, and just go
for it. All right, So this will be open book.
I do have just the first page of the Wikipedia
article to assist me, which is truly not enough now
because the sample question is it was it's difficult to

(04:00):
find what I think is the answer, but I'm pretty
sure it's not the answer. So if you would like
to begin, well, you continue to walk in a straight line.
Number one, you might want to get out of the water.
You're about to suffocate.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Micraft's original game name.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Okay, so that is the sample question. Okay, I have
perused the wiki page that I have just the first page,
and I'm going to guess cave game all right, one
for one in the open book, you might want to

(04:41):
get out of the water there. That would be a squid.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Something to me.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
I mean, when when it's night, pretty much anything can
happen to you. At this point, it's a very dangerous time.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
You know what this actually feels like. You built this.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Right, this is exactly what it feels like.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
I've also not played Minecraft, I know, which is great.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
I mean, these are two fresh eyes to give their
opinion of a game that literally was just updating.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
However, I had zero interest in getting into Micraft.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Well, now it's both of us probably share a similar interest.
I don't know if it's because I'm old. Now you
can mind most of this stuff. Which is the R two.
We are playing it on PS four, just so we know.
Next question number two. Oh, and we will be having
a Smash Brothers rematch at the end.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
What is the name of the game's protagonists?

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Okay, let's give me a give me a few seconds here. Oh,
come on. The whole point was for you to to
make it the entire thing. Oh, you're on up by
a creeper. They do explode. That's half your health. They

(06:09):
do explode, so it is in your best interest to
stay away from them. I feel like there's a lot
of running, especially in the early parts of the game,
because you don't really have much. Did you spawn by
your treasure chess thing, your little your inventory.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
I would not know.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
It's still nighttime. You'll be fine once it once you
once it becomes daytime. Ah. Is it an actual name
or is it just like Okay, there are several names

(06:54):
on this sheet, but they're all referring to real people.
We'll say Steve even though it doesn't really say that.
It just kind of well, I mean there's a lot
of names. I mean, we have, you know, the person
who created it. I got development people. I mean it

(07:16):
was really made by one person, you know, all right?

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Two for two?

Speaker 1 (07:23):
Two for two?

Speaker 2 (07:23):
Number three?

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Name the game you see that everything? Okay, that's a
zombie the green.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Number three.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Name the game that Minecraft is based off of, which
is an earlier game by.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Notch Oh an earlier game, uh well, Dwarf Fortress Ruby. Okay,
is that I meant to see that? No?

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Good, very very good.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
You got a pig to your left. No threat there
that's a spice. That's a spider. He's gonna come up
to you. Now you got too close. Number four, it's over.
It's over.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
Number four.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
On rare occasions, there's two letters in the title Minecraft
that will switch place on the title screen.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Which two letters are?

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Is that.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
I have a feelings Probably not even.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
No, I don't see it. I'm actually looking at the
word Minecraft and wondering why so are they vowels? One is?
Both are? None are?

Speaker 2 (08:52):
There's one on one constant So that doesn't really.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
A little bit. But you're right, it doesn't. Uh we'll
say the ND and the C, the C and the
e oh.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
From mincecraf or miss misraphed.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Oh, which I don't know why.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
But maybe that's something we're just not privy too.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Yeah, maybe I don't know alright, min.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Two for two number five.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
The block bedrock was originally known as blank because it
was only allowed to be broken and placed by admits.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
Uh, I mean are we talking like it's still something block?

Speaker 3 (09:40):
It's the bedrock originally, like they changed the name from
what it was to that bedrock.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Take some so many hearts to get all right, so
this right here is your stuff? Okay, So we're gonna
open up our inventory and we're gonna take pretty much everything.
I do quick move because it saves me a lot
of time. And I'm gonna grab this. And there wasn't

(10:18):
a pick axe in there, which is odd. So one
thing about this, what was the question? I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
The rock? What was this name originally?

Speaker 1 (10:30):
Admin Rock? Oh, that's funny. I should have actually ran
with that more.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
I thought you were number six.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
Baby zombies can be seen occasionally riding what.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Animal I We'll say pig. Oh, they're that little good
to know, good to know Handla went with pig because
we just saw one, even though I have seen a chicken. Yeah,
it's actually funny how good it looks, you know, because

(11:10):
I think a lot of At least me as an outsider,
that was a bad fall me as an outsider not
knowing what you know, really what it was? Right? I mean,
I knew I got the concept. But that's too that's
too hardcore to get through. I don't have a pickaxe.
It will take me the whole podcast to dig through.

(11:32):
That is that bedrock at a minium? It's a bunny
you mind. Yeah, I don't really appreciate the mining of
the animals. I don't know. I kind of feel icky afterward.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
You feel icky animals?

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Yeah, I have a soft spot if it was a person, mind,
But I'm not gonna this poor little animal.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Number seven, What is the collective now slash proper term
for a group of indermen?

Speaker 1 (12:12):
Ender my haunting? Oh haunting? I thought it was more
a pluralization.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
I don't know what they are. But have you seen
that yet?

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Maybe? I mean, it's only been a few minutes. It's okay,
this was bound to happen. If anything, it'll give me
a really good low score. What do you want to build?
You want to build something?

Speaker 2 (12:36):
I don't know. I'd rather make a more maker level.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Why don't you make a Mario Maker level in Minecraft?
People have already built in emulators.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
M hmm.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
We need a goal, we need we need a goal.
Let's get to the top of that, all right, So
we're going to get to the top of this. Okay,
it's really far away.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
The number eight.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
The sounds that make actually two words being played backwards.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
Name one of the two words?

Speaker 1 (13:06):
Can I get anything? Give me something? What is that?
Why not? But like, is it a noun verb adjective?
They're verbs? Okay? Now we're playing word games. The word run,

(13:30):
the word mine, well, that's yeah, mine can be okay,
then what is it hig?

Speaker 2 (13:35):
And what's up?

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Oh? Okay, I would have labeled those as salutations. All right,
where are we trying to get? We're trying to get
to this huge mountain, these beautiful candy trees. I doubt it.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
It's the true falls.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
It's the true falls. Okay, that'll leave me with three? Right, yes, okay.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Emeralds were originally supposed to be rubies, but they were
changed to em Roalds due to Nathan Madams being colored
blind make him not able to easily tell the difference
between redstom or and ruby.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
Or That sounds like a very interesting fact and very fun.
So I'll just say true either that.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Makes sense to you? Huh you would be colored blind?

Speaker 1 (14:27):
Oh is it a trick question? Oh?

Speaker 2 (14:29):
I just I mean you you are with that answer, and.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
I think that it's a very interesting fact and if
it were true, that would be interesting. Well it is true. Okay,
that's very neat that.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
So you got a three on a game that you just.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
Discovered, Well, I just I literally just put it in.
I bought it from a friend for ten dollars.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
This one you could probably know because you're pretty good.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
Discussed colong is gonna take me without a pickaxe? Yeah,
this is gonna take forever. Go around the mountain. No,
and I'm stuck.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Number ten, the last one.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
Dig my way out of it.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
There's a one in two hundred and fifty thousand chants
of a rabbit spawning hostel and attacking. This rabbit is
referred to as the killer Rabbit of Cabernarl.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
Is it a true true false question? What are you
asking me?

Speaker 3 (15:27):
This is an easter egg based off of this British
comedy from nineteen seventy five. You've actually recommended this movie
to me before?

Speaker 1 (15:35):
Movie? Yes, a movie from the seventies. I've recommended to you.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
You did. That's a British comedy.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
With a bunny. The only thing I can think of
with a bunny is watershipped down.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
That's your answer?

Speaker 1 (15:52):
No, okay, because that's not a comedy. Oh, let's go
to that. Let's go to that. That spire in the distance.
You see it out there in the phone the mountain.
I think now it's the other way away from it.
There's no compass. Okay, Now, let's let's Uh, let's stick

(16:14):
with this one. Let's stick with this question. You're asking me.
So it's a British comedy. It's not a TV show.
It's a movie.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
With a killer rabbit.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
And I recommended this to you. I feel like you're
I think.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
You actually played a trailer for me. I play recognized
the images.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
Is it a Monty Python? Well no, but I'm just
asking you a question. Is it a Monty Python? Why
would I have played a Monty Python trailer for you
knowing that you wouldn't watch it? What is that a
chocolate chicken?

Speaker 3 (16:58):
Probably no different than you made me watch Big Trouble
A little Silent?

Speaker 1 (17:04):
Did you watch that? I mean, there's no point there's.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
You made me watch a trailer for it.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
For a little but little Trouble or Big Trouble, Little Trouble. Here,
let me do this. I want to make another recommendation
for you to watch a movie, except I'm going to
hand you that movie and then you have no excuse.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
I do want to see this.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
Actually, all right, I just handed Dante Wreck It Ralph
because my daughter's obsessed with it. We have the digital,
we have digital, so it's fine she won't She would
be a really upset if she watched me give that
to you. And it's sad because, like, you know, there's
all these wonderful references and my daughter doesn't know them obviously,

(17:49):
and capcom is such a huge part of the movie,
and I've always wanted Dante to see it, but he's
you know, he's just so hard to get to watch
anything not didn't here move. I gotta I have to
go turn my oven off because I'm cooking Thanksgiving dinner.
We're having Thanksgiving today. Because it's been it's been a

(18:13):
you know, it's gonna be a really working in retail,
it's gonna be kind of rough to be off. But
in October it's November down tech, it's still well it's
November downting.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
My bad.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
How many other podcasts are people cooking turkeys?

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Okay, I guess.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
So you really made this whole world already now the
majority of the screen loaded. Okay, I'm gonna say you
did an awful lot really quick. What is my goal though?
You know, I understand that you've given me a generic one, but.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Okay, I'm bad.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
Chickens out or chick turkeys. You're gonna make stuffing and
everything else. So that's actually the that's why people enjoy
the game is because there is absolutely no true purpose.
Maybe survival, maybe creation, depending on which way you play.

(19:28):
But I actually listened to a bunch of podcasts right that,
you know, talk about Minecraft. There's actually like hundreds of
Minecraft only podcasts out there. And you can't write a
pig without a saddle, Dante, you can, you can kill him? Well,
pigs are different. You are, yes, you are, you are?

(19:55):
You are. You're mining with a lollipop at the moment.
You can use the ice cream cone if you'd like so. Anyway,
that's what From listening to other podcasts, I got the
gist that people love the game because of its escapism
and lack of real you know, no guide. Really I.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Can see getting lost in this.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
I like a purpose though, especially if it was.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
You know, really one of the more premier developed worlds
that users have made.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
How do we get into those?

Speaker 2 (20:32):
How we get into it?

Speaker 1 (20:33):
How do we get into somebody else's world?

Speaker 2 (20:36):
That's a good question.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
Are we still doing the trivia? I'm sorry you.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Didn't answer the question.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Well, question, do you killer rabbit? There's only one and
it's not flying circus. It's a movie don't know where.
I only recommend Holy Grail of people because it's it's
the funniest one, and I feel like Life of Brian

(21:04):
there's some vulgar parts that I don't really recommend it
to people because I I know their tolerance for inappropriate things. Okay,
let's see if we get into somebody else's thing somebody
else where? Did you need that?

Speaker 2 (21:20):
But you seem to always know your movies and you I'm.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
Pretty sure, But I mean, the Killer Chicken is a
flying circus thing. But the only movie I could think
of was Holy Grail, and I can't imagine recommending a
different movie to you. Holy Grol is funny. What the trailer?
You didn't even see the movie. I just watched the

(21:45):
but you're gonna watch it round. I've wanted to watch that, Okay,
Because I.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
Meant Disney movies they cost so much.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
Well, I'm part of the Disney Movie Club.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
What does that get shot?

Speaker 3 (21:57):
I got.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
Sick movies for a penny each, and then I am
required to buy two movies within the next or three
movies within the next two years. Okay, So like you know,
like the every month I give you a new movie, Like, hey,
do you want to buy this one for your within
your two years, And I'm like, eh.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
It was.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
Civil War actually okay last month and then Finding Dory
for this month. No, okay, I did not. I didn't
enjoy it.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Why would you you like things like Batman Verus Superman?

Speaker 1 (22:33):
I didn't like that either. I've been very unhappy with
movies this year. Actually, I'm not stual believe that you
don't like that. I'm waiting. What is this? Why are
they trying to charge me?

Speaker 2 (22:48):
Did you just confirm? No? No?

Speaker 1 (22:55):
So I exit without saving because if I save it,
I gotta buy the candy texture map, which is two
ninety nine.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
I miss Adam.

Speaker 3 (23:04):
What is that?

Speaker 1 (23:06):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
I don't know how you get into other people in
the worlds.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
Maybe join Battle the Joinman you will allow you to
join public games or players that are not your friends, okay, whatever?
Can they do it? Or any any casual mm hmm.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
What I just don't know about this game.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
There's just it's everything's so open. What I'm just I'm spectating.
So I'm a flying ghost at this point? Is this
world is intense?

Speaker 2 (23:42):
Yeah? But it like for me it's too This is
gonna sound funny. As somebody who has praised no mess guy.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
But it's too much, Okay.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
Like I could easily just like in maybe this one
world's been.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
Doing you wanna get boring, I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
I like, I appreciate creativity like a little big planet, right, Like,
I like seeing everything.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
But there were limits to big planets.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
There were, and there's really no limits to this.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
And because I know somebody took the time to do
little details all over the world, I like to be
able to see and appreciate that. But I would spend
too much time. And then there's the whole INTERACTI with
other players and missions and things like this. This game
is too much for me.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
Yeah, okay, I couldn't do it, so you would probably
be more keen to even myself Minecraft Story Mode, the separate.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
Game, maybe.

Speaker 1 (24:43):
Because I have no problem with uh. I actually enjoy
the art style and what you can do with it.
But I'm just really into you know, story.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
I couldn't do any building, like I never build anything in.

Speaker 1 (24:59):
A little big planting Oh I did. I did Modernation Racers,
though I enjoyed more, and you know why, because it
was the scale was smaller than a little big planet. Yeah,
and this is the exact opposite. This is beyond.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
It is beyond. That's just that's about it.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
But it takes a lot to create some of these
worlds out of detail they are because it's not.

Speaker 2 (25:25):
Like it's not as well a little big plan. It
wasn't really a template.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
But are we done with the questions? What did I get? Okay?
But so are these these are real people. As soon
as the spot opens, we will be able to play.
We're just waiting in line with all the other bats. Actually,

(25:53):
it's funny you brought up a few games thus far
in the podcast that would just before we get into
the details of Minecraft. While we're waiting on finding a spot,
I do want to announce what episode I will be
doing for my finale, Dante, if you'll take a look
at the computer screen I will be doing. I want

(26:14):
to make it dramatic, I see, which means I'm probably
gonna be upset. Why would you be upset?

Speaker 2 (26:21):
This is what you like to do, and only you
would make me getting upset dramatic.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
I will be doing No Man's Sky for my finale.
Good uh yeah, good. So my finale will be a
game that you've recommended since pretty much the beginning of
this ten episode season. Yes, so I think it's fitting
to give you what you want, and we will talk

(26:50):
long and hard about No Man's Sky. So that'll be
the finale. Right now, we're going to talk about Minecraft
while we're waiting for our spot to join the battle.
If you did not know, which I'm sure you do.
Minecraft is a sandbox video game. It falls into our
indie category. Has created a billionaire in Notch. Notch has

(27:14):
become a billionaire thanks to this game. Actually featured in
Forbes magazine for having so much money. Created and published
by Monjan, which is a Swedish company. It's actually I mean,
you know, you can definitely see it was inspired by
similar games such as Blockman. I don't a fair played Blockman. Well,

(27:38):
it's the same exact looking thing. Minecraft received five awards
when it first came out in twenty eleven. Game Developers
Choice Award won for Innovation, it won for the Best
Downloaded Game, and it won for the Best Debut Game.

(27:58):
It also won the Audience Award and the Grand Prize.
In twenty twelve, at the Independent Game Festival, Minecraft was
awarded a Golden Joystick Award for Best Downloadable games as
well in twenty twelve. As of right now, over one
hundred and six million copies have been sold and more

(28:20):
than forty million unique players each month across all platforms,
making it the best selling PC game of all time. Well,
that's an impressive feet And September twenty fourteen, Microsoft announced
a deal to buy Mojong and Minecraft, the ip for it,

(28:40):
for two point five billion dollars, and the acquisition was
completed after two months. I remember that actually, so deal.

Speaker 3 (28:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
When Notch first began development, he was inspired by games
like Dwarf Fortress, Dungeon Keeper and decided to pretty much
make a game all by himself, having very limited coding skills,
just made something that appealed to so many people, which

(29:15):
is why I thought it deserved to be talked about
and deserved for me to buy from someone for ten dollars.
And it's a little it's a lot to take in. Yeah,
how long have you've been waiting to be in this fight?

Speaker 3 (29:32):
Yeah, as we've been spectating, and I've been listening to
what you're saying, I'm.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
Just not saying it.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
Like, how many Minecraft Halloween costumes do they see? Last year?

Speaker 3 (29:48):
It was all over, Like I think bear with me audience,
because because obviously there's a lot of people that play Minecraft,
we're need to it, so we don't quite get it.
But I don't see how I would get it. I
could appreciate the creating of it. I don't understand what
would be fun about playing in it.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
Though he's taking he's having himself an apple and what's
kind of one why I wanted to do this?

Speaker 3 (30:19):
And here's probably the biggest thing that's keeping me from
being engaged. I'm, by no means a graphics type of guy,
but the block style and like I'm seeing these characters
just kind of like floating through.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
The air, and yeah, the physics are a little off.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
I don't like what I see.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
At all. It just.

Speaker 3 (30:47):
My initial oppression of Minecraft before I ever played it,
Like I imagine it was like a slow, kind of buggy,
low frame rate building kind of game, and people.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
Just obsessed with it because they got to show up.
But if you care, I mean, I can say that
is very nice looking.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
But one thing I do have to give it, I
do appreciate the soundtrack. It It varies based off the environment,
especially when you're playing in creative mode and you get
a pretty good range of types of music, some of
them trans some of them like this, which is kind

(31:26):
of circusy. I know you hate transmits, but they're just uh.
It definitely feels like an indie soundtrack, and I think
that's I kind of like it. This song not so much.
It's a little too upbeat, but I feel like we're
constantly waiting to play.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
Now.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
This is a snowball fight. A lot of bats are
watching her.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
This is they created when they're having a snowball fight. Like, yeah,
I guess, like okay, like Fana, we played more Lakers.
We've done a podcast on more kers.

Speaker 1 (32:04):
Has a purpose, get to the flag game beat.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
One hundred levels in a row. This is I'm not
feeling it.

Speaker 3 (32:13):
Like if I'm gonna spend two three hours playing this,
what am I gonna get.

Speaker 1 (32:17):
Out of it? Okay, I think you might get to
play this round that we've been waiting most of the
time for. Throw is out two all right, and Dante's
runing snowballs. He's got his snowball in his hand. All right,

(32:38):
he's gonna you haven't hit anybody yet. You never go
to the crosshairs. Oh you know, I didn't even know
the crosshairs, So ope get that game.

Speaker 2 (32:53):
Is that what you're trying to do? Make them fall
down to the bottle?

Speaker 1 (32:55):
I think you're trying to physically hit them. Now it
looks like everybody's aiming for the out. Be the last person.
You want to be the last person on the top,
and then you can just you know, snipe them. Right,

(33:16):
So this is definitely odd to me?

Speaker 3 (33:19):
Right?

Speaker 1 (33:20):
Is this odd to you?

Speaker 2 (33:22):
I didn't expect anything like this in and this is
something somebody created to do, right.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
I mean this is probably generated for this purpose. So
you're just holding down, all right, I'll do I'll take
part in the next snowball. So what I mean tell
me more about your thoughts being you know, this is

(33:50):
your first time, my first time. The world loves this game.
It's on every platform you can think of, including coming
to Vry.

Speaker 2 (33:59):
Which.

Speaker 3 (34:01):
Like that's the thing, like I think this would be great,
like just exploring, like I can explore all day in
this game. I'm not gonna pay, I'm not gonna participate
in like any of these activities, but even then they exploring.
I know, I sound really hypocritical because I've lotted mo
Mansky and we're gonna do our next show on mo

(34:22):
mask guy.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
Yeah, but these are just not interesting to me, alright,
So that person won. I couldn't read the gamer tag.
It was kind of odd, alright. So the purpose is
to get rid of the ground and make everybody full.
Well that somebody had that lined up, didn't they? So

(34:49):
you wanna get on thick grounds. I'm pretty sure I
can get him down from up here, right, Yeah?

Speaker 2 (34:57):
So, I mean, can you see yourself investing time in this?

Speaker 1 (35:01):
It's not my it's not my cup of tea, that's
for sure. These people are good. This person's not paying attention.
It works, it's constantly looking down. Oh I didn't know
why I was on the last row. Is that a
gingerbread where maybe?

Speaker 2 (35:24):
Maybe?

Speaker 1 (35:24):
Yeah? Yeah, that's a gingerbread man, right, It's I mean
I enjoyed doing that. I had fun. But I mean
is this something that I would do all day?

Speaker 2 (35:40):
I mean, I get it. I give how people can
like this. They can enjoy this.

Speaker 1 (35:44):
It's just not for me, right me either, Unfortunately, it's
just something. Yeah, this they all them. I think they're
all Halloween themed right now. Still see the music is
fun for a snowball fight. I don't like it. You
don't like the music. No, well, I'm not gonna disagree

(36:05):
with that statement, but yeah, that's that's Minecraft. Let me
go over the Metacritic results and then Dante and I
can have our fight and then we can oh yes, yeah,
so PC, you're looking at ninety three out of one hundred,
PS four eighty nine out of one hundred, Xbox one
eighty eight out of one hundred. It sucks they bought it.

(36:28):
There's still a little lowist, yeah, even via eighty four
three sixty eighty two. But you know, well above well
in the eighties, right.

Speaker 3 (36:39):
Which I hear.

Speaker 4 (36:40):
You know, there's like like the merchandise side of mind.
Oh my gosh, have you seen that we started carrying them. Yeah,
and the toys and the maps and like now you
can make Minecraft at home in the real world.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
Yeah, it's crazy. So yeah, not my cup of tea.
But I did want to ask, though, Yeah, please, like.

Speaker 2 (37:01):
This would be great if it was Lego.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
Well, I mean, isn't it Lego but a.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
Little bit beyond like Lego Dimension and all that. I
just I think, I know if people are probably getting
annoyed me, but I think I just flat out don't
like it because it's blocks and everybody's blocked. M I
would rather be.

Speaker 1 (37:28):
Okay, I think any game where you create like that
is I mean, I don't think it matters that it's
a branded thing. It does, all right. So if you
remember Dante and I fought last episode or well fan day,

(37:49):
right and not the last episode. But it turns out
I did not have my profile on my character and
that really affected me and I still am a little
shooken up about it. So yourself, well, I have a
chance to at least make a valiant effort because I

(38:10):
don't feel like I did last time. At least the
buttons are right, and maybe they're not one hundred percent,
but no excuses this time. This is all we got
to turn the items off, did you I did? Okay,
get very quick? Okay, yeah, all right, So I was

(38:39):
I was waiting for poke bos.

Speaker 2 (38:44):
Shame o.

Speaker 3 (38:44):
You.

Speaker 1 (38:49):
So you wanted to be hand to hand close combat.
That's what you're into, right, That's what this kind of
has to be without any items.

Speaker 2 (38:57):
Well, I just thought that you wanted to have no
excuses like I one because of this or that, and
this is usually the format to do.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
So okay, so we're both at nine and nine, but
we were we were at that before and it didn't
really help us help me up. Now we're at eight
to nine. Dante is playing as Zelda. Do you like
playing a Zeona?

Speaker 2 (39:23):
I do because she is known.

Speaker 3 (39:24):
As a low tier character, and I pride myself on
playing with low tier. When my first capcom, I always
played with Thor, who was considered a very bad character
to play with, and I did, Well, you're not gonna
see too many people using her of the Deternaman scene.

Speaker 1 (39:46):
Well, you are very good with her, I now have. Yeah,
I get that. I wish we'd playing a different level.
You're really you're really, you're really hanging under that edge.

(40:10):
You're one of those I wish I should have guessed,
like you camp out of the edge, I'm gonna grab
you as soon as you get on the ledge.

Speaker 2 (40:22):
Well, you have to be thus predictable with your moves.

Speaker 1 (40:26):
Well, I mean, if you're going for a ledge, I mean,
there's only one spot you're really going and that's to
the ledge. Don't like bait me.

Speaker 2 (40:38):
You know, maybe maybe you think that you're going up
high sometimes low.

Speaker 1 (40:45):
But there's it's still this I'm still trying to get
to the same point. Yeah, So if you're just gonna
hang out at the ledge all day.

Speaker 2 (40:57):
Well we have I have six more stocks, and I
wanna end you quickly.

Speaker 1 (41:03):
Alright side, What was the words you used it for
me earlier or before? All right? Now you're camping, camping,
I'm following you.

Speaker 2 (41:14):
Where do you go?

Speaker 1 (41:16):
Yeah, but it's like you're a stalker at this point.

Speaker 2 (41:21):
Well, I guess I can't let you come to me.
If that is much you would like.

Speaker 1 (41:33):
I need to get better with my grabbing. You're a grabber,
go to the leg.

Speaker 2 (41:41):
I also dodge.

Speaker 1 (41:43):
You dodge a lot. I don't dodge. I don't use
my shield. I don't I'm very straightforward. I'm aggressive, but
it's not it's not working this time around. Oh, you
are very good at smash, you're needing better at street Fighter.

(42:05):
Well I'm not that good at tech in orlo Okay,
well then we'll make uh well, we'll play Rumble Roses.
You want to play Rumble Roses. It is an Xbox
three sixty game. I would like to play more fighting games.

Speaker 2 (42:31):
Rumble Roses. You know, I think I've heard of that.

Speaker 1 (42:39):
Wow, Well, this is a sad end for you know
me as a I really should have practiced, I guess,
but it's pretty clear that you know when you have
this tiny little level.

Speaker 2 (42:56):
Oh my, a larger love, so longer for the same result.

Speaker 1 (43:01):
Yeah, I might have been the same result, but I
mean I would have felt like you weren't camping. There
have been multiple, multiple places for me to get back from.

Speaker 2 (43:10):
The term the same does not respect what you're saying.

Speaker 1 (43:14):
Well, I just know who you have become, and I
don't like it. I don't like the person you become
as eight to three. Maybe if there were poke Bonlls
to help, I guess I kinda well, no, you had

(43:35):
you had like eight last time. I think to the end,
I've stopped camping.

Speaker 2 (43:49):
If it makes you feel better, it does.

Speaker 1 (43:51):
It makes me feel like I have an actual shot.
But then you just run up to the thing and
catch me. How do you? How do Maybe I should
catch you? Maybe I should catch you once in a while.

Speaker 2 (44:01):
She has a really bad sentence.

Speaker 1 (44:03):
Yeah, I agree, it takes too long too, oh rum button, Ryan,
all right, we're getting into out.

Speaker 2 (44:13):
Then we can play that.

Speaker 1 (44:15):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (44:17):
What should injustice?

Speaker 1 (44:19):
Let's do that.

Speaker 2 (44:20):
You have it.

Speaker 1 (44:24):
Me too, But maybe it'll be maybe I'll have a
better shot. Yeah, I'm not I'm not doing too well here?
What can we do? No Man Sky? I haven't played
it yet. I got it, but I haven't played it yet.

Speaker 2 (44:41):
When can we do it? No?

Speaker 1 (44:42):
No? What can we do on the air.

Speaker 2 (44:46):
Here?

Speaker 1 (44:46):
I'm going to jump off the edge.

Speaker 2 (44:50):
You don't want to try to get one more out
of me? No?

Speaker 1 (44:53):
But I will play you an Injustice? No, I feel like, well, no,
I don't have I don't have too charged.

Speaker 2 (44:58):
Okay, we'll do it next time, and.

Speaker 1 (45:02):
So No Man Sky episode Dante and I will play
in Justice. You're going to plan it flash. I'll be Aquaman, okay,
aqua man?

Speaker 2 (45:14):
What?

Speaker 1 (45:15):
Why he's cheap? Oh? Would you like me to pick
somebody else? It can be Lex Luthor? Or is he cheap?
Too easy to beat? Well, we'll just have to do
some kind of We'll just do a bunch of little fights,
you know, so we can be different characters. I know

(45:37):
it has nothing to do with No Man's Sky, but yeah,
No World so Minecraft. Yeah, an excellent game, obviously. I
I understand the appeal. It's just not an appeal that
I can truly get on board with. I will give
it more time, but right now, I'm going to focus

(45:58):
on No Man's Sky and get a little bit better
at Injustice before our big finale with me versus Dante
and an all out brawl because he totally owned me twice.

Speaker 2 (46:12):
I just had a great idea, what they should make
a Donkey Ko Maker game.

Speaker 1 (46:18):
Great, that would be great. Pitch that, pitch that the
next pitch meeting. You have a Nintendo. So until next time,
make sure to tune in for the No Man Sky episode,
which will be my finale for this season, and then
we'll go into other things. But it'll be a good
Injustice fight. We'll do best. We'll do three out of five.

(46:39):
We'll do five matches, okay, so ten different characters. Hopefully.
I don't just get good with five, I'll get good
with five.

Speaker 2 (46:48):
I can't. I don't have any I don't have it
any So I've been playing you off of memory.

Speaker 1 (46:53):
Oh okay, that's fine, all right, So we'll do uh well,
we'll see. So until next time, make sure to follow
us on Twitter, find us on Facebook if you can.
It's really hard. And also before we do after the trivia,
I want you I want to review on record route. Okay,

(47:14):
I want a good review Okay, I can't.

Speaker 2 (47:20):
Is there ever a Disney movie that I didn't like?
I don't really care for day.

Speaker 3 (47:27):
Other than that, I don't think I could give a
bad reviews.

Speaker 1 (47:33):
Well, I think you're gonna really enjoy it. I think
you're gonna understand all the references. I mean even on
the front. You have two street Fighter characters and two
Sonic characters, So I think you'll be good. Anybody who's
a fan of video games would enjoy that movie. I
would think so. Until next time, my name is right
good Gaming.
