Speaker 1 (00:00):
So we talked about one game per episode. Today we're
going to be talking about twenty fifteen Batman Arkham Knight. Yes,
we did do a Batman episode. We did, we did before,
but we just kind of, you know, so much stuff
it kind of felt flooded, right, So it's good to
do this episode because we can focus on one aspect
(00:22):
of Batman video games being probably one of the most popular,
being the rock Steady version, Yes, and the most current Yes,
and actually probably we're not going to see another one
in a while. Besides, like, yeah, you're right. So when
it comes to Arkham Knight, the trivia, that's what we
do on the show. We do a trivia to start out.
We have ten questions for Dante. His lowest score this
(00:43):
season is a one. What's your highest?
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Seven?
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Seven?
Speaker 2 (00:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Is that it?
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Yep, I caught you by surprise.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
Oh I forget which one was. Well, I'm still unemployed, Ryan,
So the quiz will, you know, try to be as
easy as possible, because I want all of humanity to
be happy.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
Now as much as a common book fan that I am,
my Badman knowledge is kind of.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
Lacking, well, I think, I mean, most of these are
extremely specific to the game. There are some movie references.
There are two that are pretty comic book and it's
actually nine and ten. But I still think it's common
knowledge in my opinion on the way, I see a
(01:31):
six in your future. Question one, the game developers had
to offer refunds to those waiting for the game on
what platforms? It was Mac and Linux. You did the
exact opposite of those two things. So it never came
(01:55):
out on Mac, or it did come out.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
A piece of platform.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
No, No, it is a platform. I know that.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
So do I get a point?
Speaker 1 (02:04):
No? No, PC is Windows.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
No, a personal computer could be anything. Windows is the
opposite of Mac. Inlytus.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Okay, so I should have said I should have said
operating system.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
I feel like a half pint.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
I'll give you a half point.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
I'm going to this one.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
No, No, you got it, You've got it. You're right.
I should have said operating system. Question two. There was
a few months delay on one platform due to play
issues since it was optimized poorly. Which platform is that?
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Windows?
Speaker 1 (02:46):
I want to give you half a point. I wanted Steam? Okay, yeah,
because Steam os I mean there, it is its own
operating system. You could have probably said PC and I
would have gave you half a point there too, so
you got one out of well.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
See I was I knew it, but I was like,
what answer does Ryan want after this start that I
just pulled on?
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Question one?
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Attitude is one one from the two?
Speaker 2 (03:08):
Okay, Jesus, this is good.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
Question three. The day the game did have a nod
to a scene from one of the Batman films was
when he drove when you drive in the game, when
you drive through ace chemicals? Which film is giving a nod? Two?
I need the director year in the title Wow three Wow,
because you screwed me on the question.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
I don't know exactly, but I want to say Batman Returns. Okay,
I don't know the director because I don't do that
kind of thing with movie.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Okay, fine, what movie? Then that's incorrect. Okay Tim Burton's
nineteen eighty nine Batman. There was no Joker in Batman Returns.
Therefore there was no Ace Chemicals. It was the Penguin
Your one, yeah, which is nineteen ninety one.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
To be fair.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
Oh yeah, I was probably seven when I saw those movies. Okay,
I have not watched them since I've become an adult.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
They're better as an adult.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
I'm sure they are a need to buy all of them.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
I don't know them, No, I want to have them.
Question four, We have one right so far, which is
really two questions. Yes, the game. The game's opening sequence
takes place in what diner?
Speaker 2 (04:30):
Mm?
Speaker 1 (04:31):
It's pretty clear.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Yeah, I know, I can't think of it right now.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
So now Nope, Polly's diner. In the diner is a
real person Sefton Hill? Who's that?
Speaker 3 (04:47):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (04:47):
Is he someone who works on the game?
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Yes, give me a little bit more and let see specificity.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
He probably does this soundtrack.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Let's uh, let's think of a bigger person on the
food chain. Okay, okay, one more guess that's correct? The
director of the game too. Correct?
Speaker 2 (05:11):
So far, you really do have a heart?
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Question six. Designers said the biggest obstacle was integrating what
element into the game? That's correct? Three? Question seven. One
of the game game over credit lines, So you know,
like how when you die there's like a little thing
sequence is quote look at me while you die Batman
(05:39):
look at me, which is a nod to what film
Batman film? But returns the Dark Knight?
Speaker 3 (05:51):
Oh yeah, what am I thinking that? If I would
have stopped being a silly and would have thought about it.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
Christmaher Nolan's The Dark Knight. How do I Question eight,
speaking of death, another game over sequence mocks another franchise.
What franchise do they mock in one of the game
over scenes? Mm hmm, what game has? What franchise has that?
(06:21):
You know what I mean? That's the best way to think,
Like when you die, there's like a little thing every time.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
The only game that I've played that even has anything
like that would be Sonic.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
What when like when he when he dies, yeah, you.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Have no more lies. He falls into the black void, just.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
Kind of like but there's no dialogue anyway.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
No, but he has to like to side, like want
to go this way that way? Like that's I can't.
I don't think I play any other Well, Metle your solid.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Every time you die, you always get somebody screaming your
name and the joker does that.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
Okay, that's kind of weak, though.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Not really because it's funny to me. No, No, it's
funny that they made fun of Question nine. I remember
this is comic bookie. Okay. The magic shops in the
game all share the same name. What character are they?
In response to so all the.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
Magic shops, what was it, Santana.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
Take out an end? No, no, no, not that, take
out that in Okay, that's okay. There's also paranormal investigator
shops like places. Do you know what those are? That's
not a question. Bonus point.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
Oh, I feel like I do PARANORMALO Paranormal Investigator.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Mmm, I think I can. I just think I see
the character, but I can't get it. You have to
tell me.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Uh it is John Constantine?
Speaker 2 (08:02):
Yes, because I was thinking a arrow.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
Yeah, because you watch Arrow right. Yeah, he's one of
my favorite characters. When they bring him on, I always happy.
But you have four last question. You could have got
five with that, John Constantine. You have four currently. This
is comic bookie, but you should get it, no problem.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Batman returns.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
Question ten. In Wayne Tower, there is a dog bowl
with what name? On it?
Speaker 2 (08:33):
The irony of this is, I think I gave you
this question?
Speaker 1 (08:37):
You did.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
His name?
Speaker 1 (08:41):
You did give me this question?
Speaker 3 (08:43):
Oh my goodness, I could see I know the front
cover with the dog on it.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
Two and everything.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Blank, the bathhound one silly bold, blank, the bat hound.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Gray ace Ace.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
So four out of ten on the Arkham Knight trivia
you four. You got four?
Speaker 2 (09:13):
Yeah, just like I said, that's.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
True, you did, And if you would have got Ace
in the bonus question, you'd be at six, which is
what I said.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
Yes, well, I couldn't let you be right.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
Thank you. I'm glad you watched it. Just approved me wrong.
Twenty fifteen action adventure game developed by rock Steady, published
by Warner Brothers. Of course, came out on PS four,
Xbox One and Windows. Of course, obviously based off Batman
successor to Arcam origins, and you know, the Arkham series altogether.
(09:47):
Written by Sefton Hill. You put himself in the game
and the diner in the opening probably, I mean, I
think it's probably one of the most well received. But
you recently played it, right, what tell me all about it? Uh?
Speaker 3 (10:01):
So, I was one of the few who were really
ticked off about the season.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
Pass when they launched.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
Okay, and just the whole delay like it was, you know,
from way from holiday to summer of twenty fifteen with
the figure doutar season pass.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
I'm like, I'm not doing it. I'm gonna wait for sale.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
So that's why I'm just now getting into the grooves
of it.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
So looking at it.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
From that perspective, I feel like there's a lot of
good content in this game MM as far as extra
stuff compared to like Asylum and Origins and City.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
Right, the one thing that I wanted.
Speaker 3 (10:39):
To find out for myself, just based on the reviews
was how well the batmobile did or didn't work.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
And I love it.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
I you know, I'm pretty sure, Like we talked about
this before, like we knew like Arkham Asylum, it was
kind of silly.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
To have a batmobil cause he's an asylum.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
But when City came, like, I hope I get a batmobile, right,
they never delivered or he didn't have one. So I
was really looking forward to that on this one. And
I love the controls on it even, you know, like
being able to remotely control it while Batman somewhere else
and make it really easy for you to get to
it and get out of it and get through the streets.
(11:16):
And so it's very well well designed. I even like
some of like the little riller races where you're like
some that's like some of the best parts of the
game to me. But the rest of the game, I
feel like is just Arkham. Yeah, Like it's you got
side missions.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
You got thugs on the street to.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
Beat up, like city.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Yeah, yeah, easier to get around.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
It is easier to get around much bigger world, you know,
extensive amount of detail and all the rooms and all
the little things all over the place. The Riddler stuff
is just as good as ever. It's not too much different.
But my thing with Arkham that I've always liked is
(11:59):
the RBG elements, you know, uh, solving riddles and beating
up people and getting the experience points to get better
Batman gear and do like more batmany batmany things, and
now like with the Batmovillas, you can upgrade that life.
I really like that too, so uh and I'm kind
(12:20):
of well, I guess we're all nerd, but I'm particularly
nerdy about Batman because I will constantly switch up the bat.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
Suits that he had. Bad suit.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
So which one do you sport right now?
Speaker 2 (12:32):
I'm really liking the Batman Versus Superman one a lot.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
I didn't know that was available.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
Yeah, it came out a couple of months ago.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
Free So Batman v. Superman? Right, did you like the Mayor?
Speaker 2 (12:43):
I like Batman, like Batman.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
I don't like his villain, Superman, because that's what it is.
It's a Batman movie with Superman is a villain. It's
not a Superman movie at all.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
It's definitely a Superman.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
No, it's definitely not.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
What are you talking about Superman getting in his way
from doing the right thing and Superman.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
Superman's in the right the whole movie. What are you
talking about? What is he wrong about?
Speaker 2 (13:10):
I hate Superman and Superman. Let a bunch of people die.
Bad Man's right and he should have killed him.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
Ah okay, and if he had there would be no doomsday,
there would be no other problem.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
No, they still could use Odd's body, would have handled it. Now, Okay,
So like my takeaway, not to get off subject, but
I've been meaning to talk about this movie with Dante.
Uh wonder Woman came off the coolest. Oh yeah she was.
She was killing it. Okay, Lex Luthor ruined it for me.
(13:50):
He was pretty bad, Yes, pretty bad a multiple It
is the worst ever. But anyway, and I found a
way to top her badness from Man. Yeah, in that while,
because I thought she was atrocious the entire Man of
Steel movie. And then I get to this and I'm like, like,
(14:11):
when he gets in the bathtub with her, I'm like, dude,
you can do so much better, dude, dude, find another
girl named Lois Lane.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
Her throwing like who told her to go throw away?
Speaker 1 (14:22):
Nobody? She just she goes and gets it, gets trapped
in some kind of Lois is smart. Okay, But anyway,
so we give to this horrible, horrible doomsday fight. Actually,
another good thing to take away from this Perry was amazing.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
As amazing as he could be.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
He was, but man of steel, he was awful. He
was a throwaway character. But this movie, that's Perry White.
That's a good Perry White. Thank you for bringing us
a good Perry White. Since you gave us the worst
Lois Lane, thank you. Apparently Jimmy Olsen is the guy
that died in the beginning, go with the camera. That
was Jimmy Olsen.
Speaker 4 (15:02):
Yeah, okay, so Superman's not right because of that, I guess.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
But anyway, I did like Batman, I did like Wonder Woman. Uh.
I appreciated the way it ended with Superman.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Lex Luthor really hurt me. I named my kid after
Lex Luthor.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
You did, wow.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
I named my son after Lex Luthor, And this is
what he's going to grow up in a world.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
With that lex Luthor wex Luster Jr.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
That's the only thing that makes it okay?
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Does it should make it? No?
Speaker 1 (15:40):
No? No, His son's a nut job Lex Luthor Junior
because he's actually created in a lab in the comic book.
Is this little weird, redheaded nut job. And I'm okay
with that.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
Whose borderline jokers Kissophrantic. That's what I feel.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
If you listen to Owen from the Heroheads podcast, he
all tried to tell you that the reason he is
so schitzo is because he was touched by dark Side,
but it's a deleted scene and we never saw.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
It that actually if.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
That, if that is true, I'm fine. I'm fine with that.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
I've always was wondering why is he why is he
so crazy dark Side?
Speaker 1 (16:19):
Because dark Side reached out to him, but because we've
already seen deleted scenes where they show us like his planet,
so like, why did you take that out? Because everybody's
watching this movie looking at this little weirdo trying to
be you know, maniacal, but he's just coming off as
this little weirdo.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
That's the problem.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
And I only think blew my mind. I never knew
that Bruce and Clark had the same names.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
I didn't.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
Why it's like, oh my god, they have the same name. Wow,
Blue MoMA. But anyway, besides Lex Luthor Junior, that's only
reason I'm not going to go legally change my son's
name is because he's not.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
I am hoping, however, that the director's cut that's gonna
come out on the Blu ray satisfying me too.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
It's rained r, which I don't really care, but.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
I don't know. Maybe they've changed some things and there's like, but.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
The original kind of the film is four hours. This
is a two two and a half.
Speaker 4 (17:28):
I feel like that's what it needed to be to
be good. And so the Flash was awful. By the way,
he was awful. What is that that boy? Flash seemed
like he might be okay, no, he'll be good. I
was gonna I'm gonna buy his little head thing.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
You got it? You don't like I don't like those
all right?
Speaker 2 (17:46):
Anyway?
Speaker 1 (17:47):
Oh yeah, so they have that suit.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
So the reason why I like because I went through
all the suits and I looked at him.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
That's probably the first thing I did, Like, I downloaded
all the content, looked at all the suits front the back.
I am against using the Adam West Batman suit because
I used it all the time.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
In the origins and I hated it, and I'm like,
I'm not using anymore.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
But I thought Ben Affitz Batman is one of the
best Batman's ever, and I thought the choreography for the
fighting was perfect. Compared to the Dark Knight trilogy, He's
actually doing things, He's not doing that fighting style that
they created for him.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
So that's why I chose to rock that one. But
now I'm kind of using the nineteen ninety nine Batman.
I like that one too.
Speaker 3 (18:30):
I don't like, however, that the Batmobiles are only for
racing like the other skins, because I like, I love
the one in Batman VV or BVS. I love that
badmobile or whatever you want to call it, tumbler, but
you can't use it.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
You don't use it in races, so hm whatever.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
But so that's why I chose to do that now,
like all the DLC that came with the premium edition
that was on sale, I thought was good. Like playing
as Harley, I had fun plan as her, even though
it was only for about forty minutes.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
The Red Hood I enjoyed.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
That which Red Hood and Jason Todd or was it
a big hood or was it like a mask? Okay,
then that's the Joker, yeah, before he became Actually I'm
not sure. Did they have a suit on?
Speaker 2 (19:25):
No?
Speaker 1 (19:26):
Okay, then it's Jason.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
Todd Okay, yeah, okay, that sounds right. And I like
playing as black Girl too. Back Girl, I really like that.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
Girl or bat Woman? Which back Girl? Could you see
her mouth?
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Barbara?
Speaker 1 (19:41):
So Barbara? Yeah, okay, the new back Girl does not
her mouth is? She's a just kind of a mute
chelastic batman beyond suited school.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
Barbara is probably my second favorite DC character. Wow?
Speaker 1 (19:53):
Yeah, why like Oracle or back Girl or back Girl? Okay, yeah,
not Oracle Okay.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
In fact, I kind of don't like Oracle and Arkham Knight,
but that I but like in her in her posts
like killing jokes, ye, killing jokes State.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
Yeah, I'm gonna that's gonna be the best movie I
ever made.
Speaker 3 (20:18):
It feels too much, you know, in Arrow is the
cause of this. She feels too much like Felicity in me.
And I know that's not fair because Oracle came first
much earlier, but Felicity I hate so much in Arrow
right now.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
Oh my gosh, why why?
Speaker 2 (20:34):
No? You tell me why I should not like her.
Speaker 1 (20:36):
She's inconsequential. I mean, it's not even you shouldn't even
have any feeling that's true. She ruined shed.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
Ruin the show single handily by herself.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
I don't think she's the one ruining the show.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
All the flash all that stuff. No, she is much
better than Felicity.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
That show in general is not doing too well on
my personal radar.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
I agree, I'm not going to give it.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
But did you watch the last flash right? That was impactful?
Yes on my life where arrows just like, I don't
really care.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
I'm hoping like when she died, When Canary died, I
was just like, oh what really? That didn't bother.
Speaker 4 (21:18):
You're getting very close to heroheaded kind of podcasting.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
But that's true. Sorry, But yeah, so little mix I
love this is That's what liquid gamer cross hairheads. I mean,
that's what the Facebook is. We're left.
Speaker 3 (21:32):
Yeah, So I love playing as Backgirl. So that was
actually when I announced that in twenty fifteen. That was
the one thing I was excited for. It wasn't as
long as I hope it had been, but I still
like all the little challenges they do. Like you know
being able to play with Robin and Catwoman?
Speaker 1 (21:49):
And do you like playing this Catwoman?
Speaker 2 (21:53):
I do.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
I feel like you're a little grounded.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
But yeah, well I guess that's the thing I like
about it. It gives you something different as opposed to Robert.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
Uh. I really wish that they would have given me
the option to be back Girl though, like, what would
it have killed you?
Speaker 2 (22:12):
You've already made this character. Why can't I do her
in the challenges? Whatever?
Speaker 1 (22:17):
W B?
Speaker 2 (22:18):
I hate them. I hate they've done with Arthur.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
What what about Injustice?
Speaker 2 (22:26):
Who that DLC?
Speaker 3 (22:28):
It was like, okay, okay, you're gonna laugh and make jokes,
but I had it on the WIU and w B
decided nobody on the WU wants the DLC. We're not
gonna that's what you and I really wanted back Girl.
I really wanted her, and then we had to wait
so long to get it, but you did get it.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
I did get it. And then in like, I'm.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
Coming out with a Game of the Year edition, but
nobody on the WU wants the Game of the Year edition.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
Someone making her PS four Xbox one. Oh my goodness.
Speaker 1 (22:59):
Why do you look back girls so much?
Speaker 2 (23:01):
I don't know I can't explain it. I like her
more than Robin.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
I think it's because she looks all of them. But
I like Robin, but I like her more. I feel
like she should be Batman's real harder. Huh doesn't it know?
What makes sense to you if you think about it,
like Batman Batgirl?
Speaker 1 (23:19):
So do you like the Robin from like Dark Knight Returns,
Barbara Gordon's that comic. I do the girl the female Robin? Yeah? Yeah,
like the British Robin. She's always been a girl.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
I don't think I have too much familiar.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
To Thatman incorporated.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
I hate that suit by the way, Oh I hate it.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
What's it look like?
Speaker 3 (23:46):
It just looks like a shinier version of the ninety
nine Batman suit to me, to me, but there's not
to me suits that I actually liked that I realized,
like the Batman beyond, like the animated one.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
I like, but but in that build it doesn't really fit.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
Why do they try to do that?
Speaker 1 (24:03):
They should? Do they have a flash Point one? They
do with the red eyes? I don't want.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
I don't think there's like thirty costumes. There's a flash
Point one, nor noirir.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
Yes, So he's got like a jacket. Okay, interesting, but.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
I think the BBS one is the best one.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
I can see it being cool.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
Hm hm, Why did I play Arkham Knight.
Speaker 3 (24:33):
No?
Speaker 1 (24:35):
I think it's because I don't know. I've just been
really weird about because they all they all play similar
to me.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
They do, is it though?
Speaker 1 (24:46):
Because I mean, like honestly, with the you know, the
block and hit system that they use, I think Assassin's
Creed does it better.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
Oh I'm gonna have to strongly dis.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Really why I don't. It'd be different if Batman like
shoved a knife through somebody's neck.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
Okay, So like when it comes to said, okay, I
feel like when Batman came out with them, I'm still
waiting for somebody.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
To match the Assassin's Creek three pick right three.
Speaker 3 (25:16):
I don't know, Like like Black Flags was way too easy,
Like I.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
Never died, I didn't play Black Flag, and then in Unity.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
It's just like you play all the weird spinning off ones,
wait for numbers. I'm playing numbers.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
I play all the games.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
If Black Flag is a number game, it's four, is
it four? Yeah, it's one that you actually need to play.
Speaker 1 (25:36):
Pirates But my next card game is gonna be about pirates.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
No, I don't like pirates, okay, which is why I
didn't think I would like Black Flag, but ended my favorite.
Speaker 1 (25:48):
Anyway, maybe it'll be my favorite tabletop game of yours.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
Maybe a Capitalism in USA it will that ends this week.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
So but I'm not that I'm not that foreign Arkham
might yet I'm taking my time.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
Like the thing.
Speaker 3 (26:07):
The thing about the Arka game is I enjoy spending
a lot of time doing the side stuff. Yeah, and
I like getting all the alert trophies, which I've come
to understand being spoiler free, that if you want the
real ending, you need to get all of the.
Speaker 1 (26:24):
Ridd Aler oh interest trophies.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
Otherwise the endings are bad.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
Oh good to know. So uh so ever, since it
came out, I mean, you're looking at over five million
copies sold globally as far as the metacritic. PlayStation well,
we'll do it. We'll do it this way. Microsoft Windows
version seventy one percent, okay, Xbox one version eighty six percent,
(26:50):
PlayStation four version eighty eight percent. It's funny the past
two episodes that's really been noticeable, the uh the PlayStation
four versions having rair ratings. Yeah, and these are all
user scores. So honestly, the PlayStation four version had more reviews, right,
so that should actually hurt it. You would think you would.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
Think, well, you know, in this case, for those of
you out there that don't know, the PC version was
completely botched the way WB handled Arkham Knight, because normally
the Arkham games are flawlessly better on PC they always
have been, but in this case they just I don't
know what happened at you know, Rocksteady or whatever, but
(27:35):
just glitch after glitch not playable.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
I think it really hurt the score on that.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
So if you really wanted to play, you probably ended
up going to PS four was like, oh I played
some much better than the PC I had it on.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
I don't know, the.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
PC looks better, feels.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
Better, Yeah, I know, I know.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
Like if you, I know, if you play Asylum, like
if you've ever played Asylum, play it on PC and
it's just like there's dynamic paper yeah yeah, no, right,
there's like paper sticking to you from it just walking
over it. And I was like, wow, that's weird because
that paper's not even there or it's like paste into
the floor and the console versions. I mean, it's just
(28:13):
it's a totally different experience. Even audio wise. You can
use up to three monitors with the majority of the
Arkham games, so you can really get an immersive experience.
So you can follow us on Twitter at the Liquid
Gamer let us know what you think of Arkham Night.
Also you can tell us about what you think of
(28:35):
Dante's review on Batman v. Superman. Maybe next episode we
should talk about Civil War.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
Just sure, Okay, gonna go see the second time this week.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
It's been that long enough that we can talk about it.
So well. I don't know how we're gonna fit it in,
because what do you want to do next? Stars Starfucks
doesn't really fit.
Speaker 3 (28:53):
Sorry, but I'm going to do Starfucks because this is important.
Speaker 1 (28:58):
Then we'll hold off the Civil War for my season
because I'm gonna start my season off with Disney Infinity
and they just you know, they announced a while ago
that it's over. So we'll talk about Civil War, and
then we'll try to do a movie every every season.
We don't need to keep talking about superhero movies. And
(29:19):
then we'll try to fit Doctor Strange into the other seasons.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
Interesting.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
It's gonna be amazing, amazing, absolutely amazing. All right, So
until next time, I'm looking forward to Doctor Strange more
than any movie actor. It's for a lot of reasons,
primarily the actor.
Speaker 2 (29:38):
There's no way you are most excited.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
Doctor Strange is untouchable. He would destroy any of your
little favorites. Magic Trump's everything, and that's DC and Marvel.
Speaker 3 (29:55):
As Fantastic was saying, magic is just a science that
has not been explained.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
And so back to My name is Ryan, and I
will be done.
Speaker 1 (30:04):
Cong good gaming,
