In 1860 African Slaves in America were worth 3.5-4 billion dollars whereas America only had 228 million dollars worth of gold and silver circulating. Southern farmland was valued at $1.92 billion far less than the slaves that were forced to work the land. Breeding plantations and the forced procreation and labor of Black people in the US built its economy to the richest nation in the world.
