Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, we're Colorado. Now, this is a live look.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Now the sun is up there in that state, and
police have now detained fourteen people and reported armed home invasion.
That's the same apartment complex where a lot of people
were complaining about the armed in Venezuelan gang members roaming
the halls. Reports indicate that investigators said that several suspects
entered the apartment and had two people inside.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
The suspects that reportedly moved the.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Victims to another apartment complex, rather another unit on the
property where police said they were found threatened and bound.
An adult man sustained a non life threatening stab wound.
At the moment, police say it's unclear of the suspects
are connected connected rather to the Venezuelan game trendy of Ragua.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
But we'll get a live report in Colorado thirty.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Minutes away and bring you the latest on that developing story.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
That's Bill Hemmer from Fox News back here and Ryan
Schuling live. And we were repeatedly told that this wasn't happening,
or if it was happening, it was being exaggerated, or
was simply a feature of Danielle Jorinsky's imagination, or John
fabrigatory and other Republicans were pouncing for a political opportunism
in his house race against Jason Crow. None of this
(01:11):
was actually happening. This wasn't as severe as what was
being made out to be the likes of Comrade Kyle
Clark and Jared Polis and Mike Johnson.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Unfortunately, even the mayor of Aurora.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
Mike Kaufman, were trying to downplay and dismiss this, to
minimize it. And you heard what you heard right there,
and that's not an isolated incident. This is coming on
the heels of another report of a violent shootout that
took place in Aurora. It is mad Max beyond Thunderdome there.
I'm not exaggerating this. We get this firsthand from somebody
(01:47):
who suffered through this, who continues to suffer the after
effects of it, and Cindy Romero and she'll join me
in just a moment, but she sent me this and
I wanted to share it with you. Savannah Hernandez from
Turning Point USA posted the following on X earlier today.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
It says new details.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
My local police source close to the alleged Venezuelan mob
attack in Aurora shares that investigators on scene found that
the female victim quote had her fingernails intentionally pulled out unquote.
He states that this is why he believes the police
chief used the term torture when discussing the attack this morning.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Savannah Hernandez continues.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
You can follow her on ex at sav sav underscore says,
says underscore quote. My source shared that all of the
reports from this incident have since been privatized in an
attempt to stop more information about the attack being made public.
Parenthetical aside by yours truly, why why would they want
(02:49):
to do that? Why would they need to do that?
Continuing with Savannah, it was reported that last night, a
group of thirteen or fifteen individuals somewhere in that neighborhood
of number believed to be Venezuelan illegal immigrants, kidnapped, pistol whipped, stabbed,
and bound two victims outside an apartment complex known as
(03:10):
a hot spot for trende Arragua. Cindy Romero joins us
Now she was living in one of those hot spots,
and I believe if she was not one of the
last to leave, she was the last to leave along
with her husband Ed. Cindy joins us now in Ryan
Schuling Live, Cindy, welcome back.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
Thank you so much for having me.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
Cindy, your reaction to the news report earlier this morning,
and then also what we're hearing from Savannah Hernandez is
reporting for the turning point.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
I was horrified that this is still being allowed to
go on, and it's continuing and increasing and intensity, and
these are vicious criminals, and I can't wait for something
to happen, for this to all come out, and something
to finally get done to corral this and control the spread.
(03:57):
Now it's in seventeen different states, and I want something.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Done, Cindy.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
We wanted something done dating back to the summer months
and even the year before when you noticed and spotted
a lot of this activity beginning you and your husband
ed so much so that you installed spy cams outside
your apartment that thankfully caught this on video.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
But I'm going to run this by you.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
That wasn't enough for some people, a lot of those
in the mainstream media who I mentioned before at nine
News and elsewhere. That wasn't enough for Mike Johnston, for
Mike Kaufman apparently, or Jared Polis or Phil Wiser. Then
we get news of this shootout just a couple of
days ago. Then we get this report of a torture
scene where people are bound and stabbed and fingernails are
(04:42):
pulled out.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
Is that not enough?
Speaker 3 (04:44):
I mean, I'm sorry to ask you, but what is
it going to take for this filing to be addressed.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
I think it'll take them showing up that their addresses. Eventually,
these TDA members are going to get tired of inflicting
their crimes on poor people, and they're going to set
their targets a little bit higher. It's not going to
affect poor people and their own people for very long
before they realized that that they're poor. You can't get
(05:12):
blid from a turnip. Eventually they're going to seek the
better financial stability elsewhere, and then maybe it will all
come out. Until then, I was so happy that the
Chief Todd Chamberlain came out today and said that, in
his opinion, it's one hundred percent gang activity.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
Good.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
That is a shred, a shred of acknowledgment from the
city that had most citizens of Aurora do not have
any idea this is going on and to what degree
it is spread.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Cindy Romero joining us Sendy for those that are hearing you,
maybe for the first time.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
You've been in studio with me. A couple of times
you joined me by phone. Your husband, Ed was in studio.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
We got a lot of the background, the details, the
color of the story and everything that you endured. We
talked about the origin point where you first noticed this.
But for you, as you witnessed this and it seems
to be getting more violent, more out of hand, more
out of control, what was the final straw for you
and Ed where you're like, you know what, blank this
We're out of here.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
Yeah, the bullet holes in my car, the murder of
my friend. The victims. Chief Camberlain wanted to speak today
about the Venezuelan victims who are being tortured and victimized
and treated badly. But the very first victims were the
citizens that got pushed out of their apartments. And I
(06:36):
was the last leaseholder in my building. The first victims
were citizens of Aurora.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
Cindy, I want to ask you, and I think I've
asked you this in a different way before, but just
how you were able to navigate and survive interactions with
these trendy Aragua gang members. You did so you engaged
with them, you had conversations with them. Did they know
you had cameras outside your apartment? Did that not set
them off or anger them? And why do you think
(07:04):
it didn't if they did notice it, I think.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
They were entertained by my cameras at first. At first
they would do little dances in front of them. They
all knew that I had cameras, They knew I had
extra locks installed. They knew that I was armed, They
knew that as long as they left me alone, I
was okay. I was giving them and donations of food
(07:30):
boxes and clothes and blankets and anything I could think
of that they might need, and be going without jackets
and summer clothes in the summer because they were they
weren't dressed for our seasons in Colorado. I think I
was able to barter with them safety for a limited time.
(07:54):
The person that I communicated with was, unfortunately the person
that they murdered on August eighteen, So after that I
was very unstable there. It was very scary. I'm still
scared here thirty minutes away, that I'll be recognized, that
I'll be seen or sought out, that I'll be a
victim of one of these torturous crimes that these people
(08:16):
are going through. It's terrifying and I have to keep
banging the table to bring attention to it. So my
neighbors in that neighborhood and others across Aurora now across
the United States, so they are safe, so they are aware,
so they can protect themselves.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Cindy Romero is a hero here locally, having moved out
of Aurora. But you had mentioned to me, Cindy, and
I'll let you fill in the details to the degree
that you're comfortable. That is it a former neighbor of
yours who is here illegally wants to go back to
Venezuela now and is thinking about coming forward to the media.
What else can you tell us of anything?
Speaker 4 (08:53):
Yes, it was one of my neighbors that my ring
camera was able to catch screenshots of them actually being
held up and held at gunpoint with their nephew in
the In the picture, they were all in the hallway together,
their hands were up. They're terrified. They're terrified to go
home because they don't want the gang to follow them there.
(09:15):
But they're terrified to stay and now they're just looking
for help. They're just looking for robust tickets home. They
want to take there and the them and their families
and just go back to Venezuela because it is so
scary here. The gangs here are vicious and they're terrorizing them.
Still my building is still not safe.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
Follow her on x at e NC number two sixty six.
That's e NC two sixty six. That is Cindy Rameril.
She follows me on X there that you can find
the very latest from her posting there. Cindy, I got
a homework assignment for you, and it's not going to
be fun.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
Are you ready?
Speaker 4 (09:51):
I'm ready?
Speaker 1 (09:51):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
I would like you to watch nine News from the
moment you sign off on this phone call from me
and see if they cover the story at all, and
if they do, how they do. And I got a
prediction for you. I don't think they're going to cover it,
but we'll see.
Speaker 4 (10:05):
Yeah, I don't think they'll cover it either. But I
just want to go on record as saying it was
never about codes or a slum lord. It has always
been about gangs kind.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
It continues to be Cindy Romero again, a local hero.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
We appreciate your time as always, wishing you and ED
the very best and we'll talk again soon.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
Okay, yes, thank you so much, Ryan.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
All Right, Merry Christmas, Cindy to you and Ed will
take this time out. We got a legend in our
own studio, in our mixt Peter Boyles will join us
and he'll be joining Dan Kaplas for the full two hours,
so stay tuned for that and stay tuned for him
coming up next after this.
