Dr. Brian Joondeph joins Ryan to discuss his latest piece in 'American Thinker,' entitled 'Move Over Tom Homan - Hillary Clinton for Border Czar!' His tongue-in-cheek analysis suggests Democrats like the former First Lady and Secretary of State were singing a different tune on illegal immigration not that long ago. What changed?

Speaker 1 (00:00):
I'm here to talk to a bunch of people here
and find out what exactly is going on the ground.
I was already in Texas. I'm working with Governor Abbitt.
I've had a meeting last week with the National Sheriff's Association,
working with sheriffs across the country. I'm here in Chicago
to speak some groups here, some black pastors who have
concerns about what it was, immangrason. It's under their community.
So we're already I think ground in Chicago. We're going

(00:20):
to fix this up as quick as we can. We're
not waiting for January twentieth. I'm working now.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Sounds great.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Hitting the ground running is the borders are Tom Holman,
appointed by President Donald Trump.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
But wait a minute.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Our next guest has an alternative approach for American thinker.
Now bear with us here in Ryan Schuling Live, Doctor
Brian June Deaf our guest. Now, Brian, you're going outside
the box with your thinking here. What led you to
this next conclusion you're about to make.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
I know I'm taking a walk on the wild side here,
but I looked at you know, people are going to
think I'm crazy, and I'm you know, had a stroke
or something. But I looked at what Hillary Clinton said
about illegal immigration back in two thousand and seven when
she had her first of two failed runs for the

(01:08):
White House, and she gave a speech that sounded a
lot like what Tom Homan is saying.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Now, Well, I have that audio. Let's go revisit it
right now, Let's go down memory lane, doctor Brian, judandaff
and yours truly and all of you out there. This
was Hillary from that campaign.

Speaker 5 (01:26):
So I think we got to have tough conditions. Tell
people to come out of the shadows. If they've committed
a crime, deport them, no questions asked, they're gone.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
If they.

Speaker 5 (01:38):
If they've been working and are law abiding, we should say,
here are the conditions for you staying. You have to
pay a stiff fine because you came here illegally. You
have to pay back taxes, and you have to try
to learn English, and you have to wait in line.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Now, Brian, I agree with all of that.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
What changed, well, Barack Obama and the whole Democrat Party
really lurched to the left and they needed new voters,
and the floodgates opened didn't work out quite as planned
a month ago, but the Democrat Party has gone way

(02:18):
left on immigration. They are against any type of border.
They want to let anybody and everybody in. It's going
to be interesting to see what happens in you know,
Syria and how many Syrians we take because of turmoil
over there. But they're letting everybody in. And it didn't
used to be that way. The Democrats in the past

(02:41):
were tough on immigration. They didn't use all the politically
correct speak. Bill Clinton used the term illegal alien quite frequently.
That's how immigration was. Yeah, there was some leakage, but
they wanted to a border than and part of it

(03:02):
may be Hillary pandering because it was a campaign season,
but she sounded tough and she seems sincere. So that's
my point is that if Tom Holman decides not to
if we can get the two thousand and seven version
of Hillary to dominate her as the borders are as
long as she follows through on her previous words, it's

(03:25):
a when when interesting postulate.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
You can read more about it at American Thinker.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
That's americanthinker dot com and his article entitled move over
Tom Holman, Hillary Clinton for borders Are.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
That's Brian C. Junduff the offer and he joins us.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Now, there was a part of what you wrote here
that I want to do address directly, because this goes
to the Orwellian manipulation of language that we've seen really
over this last decade, Brian, when it comes to this
issue and myriad other issues. But illegal alien, you said
Bill Clinton used that term. Wasn't that controversial?

Speaker 1 (03:58):
Then?

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Certainly not illegal immigrant?

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Even now, according to your writing here, the AP style
book no longer sanctions the term of the use or
the use of illegal to describe a person. This is
like those lawn signs that liberals have. No human is illegal.
But don't stand on the Martha's vineyard because we'll bust
them over to Cape cod.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
We don't want them.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Here, you know, Nimby, not in my backyard, but somebody
else's backyard down in Texas. That's fine, But this manipulation
of the language. This is a case too where Dan
Kaplis even called out Amanda Sandoval, one of our Denver
City Council members, for inviting this new language of newcomer,
which we know that Mike Johnson, Mayor of Denver uses

(04:38):
as well. A newcomer implies that, oh, welcome to my home.
It's a newcomer. You know you're invited. There's no sleight
of hand here. But this person comes in through your
back door. You didn't know they were there. Are you
going to call that person in your house a newcomer?

Speaker 4 (04:55):
It's all language, and it's very Orwellian. Remember how we
went from global cooling in the Indies to then global
warming to climate change, the severe weather. Whatever the term
is now, it's language and illegal alien is a correct term,
and there's state department websites that still use that term.

(05:16):
So that's the official term, and you can call it
something else, newcomers and undocumented workers and the you know,
what do you mean documented? You know people aren't documented,
so how can you call them documented or undocumented if
you want to use that logic. We're not saying the
person is illegal. No, a human being is not illegal,

(05:38):
but their actions may be a bank robber or a
felon or a murderer, they are an illegal and they
have committed an illegal act. So entering the border, entering
the country improperly, breaking the law, you've committed a crime,
plain and simple. So trying to brush it over. You know,

(06:00):
newcomer is somebody in the neighborhood. The neighborhood has a
newcomers club, and you know, you invite them over for
dinner because they're new in the neighborhood and get to
meet the neighbors.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
This is.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
This is a little bit different, and it's you can
pick a different name for it, but it's the same thing,
and it doesn't mitigate damage it's causing. And particularly in
Denver where cities going bankrupt from this, Yeah, a big
percentage of their budget on uncompensated healthcare and education and

(06:32):
everything that's the tax payers have to pay for.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
That is his wheelhouse too in the medical field, Doctor
Brian June deef our guest, he's also a neighbor of
Dan Caplis is just a fun fact right there. But
I want to drill down on where this is going
and why it's going there, Brian, because we know in
California Mayor Governor Gavin Newsom, the mayors of Los Angeles,
San Francisco, the Attorney general in that state, they seem

(06:58):
very indignant that they're not going to cooperate with Tom
Holman with ice with the borders are of the deportation
of illegals within their state. We've heard the same and
a little bit surprising from Governor Jared Polis here, but
he's made that claim along with Denver Mayor Mike Johnston,
who compared it to Tenneman Square. You have it in
Illinois with Mayor Brandon Johnson and the Governor JB. Pritzker. However,

(07:22):
big However, in New York, they're singing a different tune.
Whether it's Mayor Eric Adams or Governor Kathy Hlkel, they're saying, look,
if there are legals here and they're committing crimes, I'll
be the first one to turn them over to Ice
and get them the hell out of here. Why are
we seeing such a different reaction from the Democrats New
York City, Governor New York than these other states I mentioned.

Speaker 4 (07:43):
I think Trump arrangement syndrome. When Trump says the sun
rises in the east, Mayor Johnston and Jared Polis will
say it rises in the west, just to be different.
I think they're pandering to their far left base, and
that's part of it as well.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
So why would New York go against the grain? I mean,
Mary Adams is sounding like a Republican like pure maga
right now, and Kathy Hochel doesn't seem very far behind.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
Well, they're taking their job seriously, and they probably had
pushback from residents from employers. The Mayor of New York
was pushing back a little bit, and then all of
a sudden some of his aides got raided by the FBI.
I think it was a not so subtle message to
shut up. These guys have figured out there's a new

(08:32):
sheriff in town and they better get on the right
side of it. Colorado's going to lose if they put
up a fight.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
They're going to come in.

Speaker 4 (08:43):
California is already suffering that people are leaving, businesses are leaving.
I think there are certain players like Paulis and Newsom
that have ambitions to run for president someday, and they
want to keep up their far left credentials, so they're
going to oppose it. I don't think may Or Adams

(09:04):
or Kathy Hochel want to run for president, but I
think Polis and Newsom do.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
And probably Pritzker.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
That's a great point and you can read more about
his analysis at americanthinker dot com. Move over Tom Holman,
Hillary Clinton for Borderzar is the title and he is
Doctor Brian Junideff frequent contributor to this program of Brian.
We always appreciate your time. Thank you so much for
joining us today.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
My pleasure.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Thanks Ran Junideff right there your thoughts reaction five seven
seven thirty nine. Got one more installment, that's right, a
third of Trump's hot takes from that interview with Christian
Welker when we return to close it all out, Closing
up Shop on this Monday edition of Ryan Schuling Live.
