(00:00):
Well, next week, of course, is the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
And so the question is who willbe Donald Trump's running mate. Now,
I'm going to tell you who Ithink this should be, all right,
and a lot of you are notgoing to agree with me, and
I'm okay with that, But Ithink it should be the governor of Virginia,
Glen Youngkin. I'll just put itout there. And there's a reason
for that, a couple of reasons. Actually. Glenn Youngkin is a guy
(00:20):
who had never been elected to apolitical position before running for governor in Virginia
and winning. He's a guy whohas created companies and created jobs and had
a very conservative record for the mostpart as governor in Virginia, working with
a Democrat House and a Democrat Senatein that state, or House of Delegates
or whatever they call it there.Whatever. The point being is that Glenn
(00:44):
Youngkin is the guy who can deliverthirteen electoral votes in the state of Virginia
boom. And you got to lookat the math. You do have to
look at the math, and Virginia'selectoral votes would render wash Wisconsin, rather
Michigan, Pennsylvania relatively moot if cookpolitical report is correct, in Nevada,
Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina allfall red for Donald Trump. You take
(01:08):
Virginia, that's game over right there, no matter what Joe Biden does in
those rust belt Upper Midwest states andfrom one of those states, my home
state. The voice you just heard, I refer to him as the preeminent
conservative voice on the airwaves in thestate of Michigan. He's my friend,
Steve Kruber. I used to fillin for him and Lansing Radio. He
is syndicated throughout the state of Michigan, and you can also see him on
(01:32):
Real America's Voice here in the Mountaintime zone between four am and seven am.
Steve Gruber, Steve, welcome toit, Ryan, Thank you for
having me, Thank you for takingthe time to talk about all these incredibly
important issues, and thanks for takingthe time to join us. Because listening
to you, Steve, I mean, you're burning the candle at both ends
here. You're doing a morning show, you do an afternoon show. When
(01:53):
do you take time off? Youknow, strangely enough, I've had last
week off from Michigan. I'll sharethis with the folks. I took a
boy scout trooped me and my wifeup to Isle Royal, which is a
national park in the middle of LakeSuperior. We walked fifty two miles with
fifty pound packs over five days.I have bloody stumps for feet. Okay,
I'll just put it out there.Yeah, but it was great,
(02:15):
very rewarding. Ile Royal magnificent place. But it's a long way from anything.
I can assure you of that.A long way from Tipperary and Isle
Royal is absolutely fantastic. Steve, being on the airwaves in Michigan as you
are, you know you've got yourfinger on the pulse of everything that's going
on there. So I'll start withsome of the comments that you had after
(02:36):
the clip that I played about GovernorGretchen Whitmer and her political prospects and whether
her star is rising in the DemocratParty, to the point where you put
it, if it's not Joe Bidenand it's not Kamala Harris, you believe
it will be Gretchen Whitmer on theballot. Why do you think that?
Well, I think she has thebest choice. Look you look at Governor
Newsman in California. He's got alot of baggage. He went from having
(03:00):
you know what he claimed to bea surplus to massive deficits. He's got
drug problems. He's got San Franciscothe poster child of what American city should
never be. Right. It's adisastrous open air drug dens. It's chical
matter on the streets as people inzombie states. So San Francisco is an
awful testament to what you know hehas done to California, and it's worse.
The debt is getting worse, theproblem is getting worse. The illegals
(03:22):
are piling up in there, takingservices from citizens of California and making it
difficult to survive there. You lookat Josh Shapiro Pennsylvania really hasn't been on
a scene long enough to really makean impact. Pritsker in Illinois not really
done anything to make his star rise. So that all brings me back to
Gretchen Whitmer. She's in her secondterm, she's popular in the Democrat Party,
and she is a she. Solet's just talk about how important that
(03:45):
is the Democrat voters. And whenyou talk about suburban moms, the people
that can swing the selection in anygiven year, Gretcha Whitmer would probably appease
and appeal to many of those suburbanmoms across America. So I think she's
been to go to. I thinkactually she's a far stronger can at the
Kamala Harris now looking at the pollingnumbers, Donald Trump obviously meeting Joe Biden
(04:05):
in every swing state right now onacross the boarded In fact, the Cook
Clitk reports swinging five states into hisdirection, plus Nebraska one just yesterday.
So problems for Joe Biden persists. And I just think that Gretchen Whitmer has
a better story and less to evaluate, less to dig into, less skeletons
in the closet, if you will, Ryan, I think she's well positioned,
(04:28):
she has well liked, she canraise money, She is a fundraising
machine. So all of those thingsadd up to somebody that is going to
run for president? Is it thisyear? Maybe? Is it twenty twenty
eight? Absolutely the Steve Grueber Show, he is the host. Steve Gruber
my guest here and you can watchhim once again on Real America's Voice weekdays
four am to seven am here inthe Mountain time zone. Steve, let
(04:50):
me just play devil's advocate for amoment, and to the degree that you
and I are able to step outof our partisan normal perspectives here. And
if we were an advisor to GovernorGretchen Whitmer and she had a choice like
you just laid out, she couldrun right now on a short ramp,
on a short runway in a shotgunstart to borrow golf term, less than
(05:10):
four months to go, and thetime is ticking against Donald Trump and the
entire machine that he's built. Orshe could wait or turn go in twenty
twenty eight, when it's wide openon both sides, a wide open primary,
full time to prepare in campaign.Would she be better off waiting her
Well, I can side can saythis. Look, there are ten Look
I'm mean change my answer a littlebit. Every American, every US Senator,
(05:35):
when they hear here hail to theChief, they also look up and
say, hey, they're playing mysong. Right, every one of them
thinks they could be president. Right. I had a whole host of other
folks too. Right, So ifit becomes an open primary, it becomes
a free for all in Chicago herenext month, Betcha Whitmer will be in
and here's the reason why there areten Democrats. Will say, give or
take that might have a shot atgame in the nomination dark horse is not
(05:59):
included. But they know if JoeBiden runs and wins in four years,
they can run. If Joe Bidenruns and loses in four years, they
can run. If another Democrat,Kamala Harris, gets it, then Greg
Wimmer's out for eight years. Soit's a matter of hey, if I'm
in the race, I'm in itto win it now, because if I
have to wait in line, it'llbe not until twenty thirty two. They
(06:20):
get a shot at this thing. And look, these people are all interested
in as much power as they canget as fast as possible. They don't
want to wait eight years. They'drather have Joe and I believe this.
They'd rather have Joe Biden run andlose and say, look, we can
take it for four years and believethat whoever Trump has his their apparent in
four years will be able to beatthat person and go forward. That would
(06:43):
be their game at this point andtheir strategy. I think so Gretz Wimmers
are easy, either in now orin four years. I don't see any
of those candidates wanting to wait untilthe second time around eight years from now.
Find all of his content at onehub. His website, Steve Gruber
dot com hosted Steve Gruber's Show.He joins me here on six point thirty
k ow back to your suggestion forvice president. Steve. It's the reason
(07:05):
I reached out to you, becauseI found it compelling. We had been
told that it been narrowed down.We don't know this for sure, but
the three finalists would be, inno particular order, Senator jd Vance from
Ohio, Senator Marco Rubio from Florida, and Governor Doug Bergham from North Dakota.
But you came in off the toprope with Governor Glenn Youngkin of Virginia,
(07:25):
and I like that pick for allthe reasons you outline, plus the
fact that in Virginia he cannot runfor reelection and consecutive terms, so Winston
Sears is probably going to be thatperson anyway. Plus, like you said,
you put those thirteen electoral votes inVirginia really in play, and they
already are, and the poll isshowing that Trump may be running in a
tie there. But what about GlennYoungkin? Do you think makes that a
(07:46):
smart pick? And what makes youthink that Donald Trump might just go that
direction as a surprise move during theconvention. Well, let's start with the
fact that in twenty sixteen, whohad Mike Pence on their dance card.
I didn't know you, I don'tanybody did. Mike Pence was a complete
out of the dark, you know, out of left field pick. And
(08:07):
that's Donald Trump. It's his flairfor showmanship. Okay, here's my short
list. Oh just kidding, here'swhat I'm really picking both. It's his
flair for the excitement. Well,it's the same reason right now, Ryan,
He's going, hey, I mightpick my vice president candidate tonight or
maybe tomorrow or the next. He'sinto that whole you know, Cliffhanger.
Let's just make the peoples. Itattracts him a little bit, entice him
(08:30):
a little bit. Hey, comewatch today, watch the rally like you
have in Florida. I say, hey, I might announce my VP candidate.
And Marco Rubio is there. Butas far as Glenn Youngkin goes,
look, he's the guy who's beenquite conservative. He's a guy who didn't
run for office till he ran forgovernor of Virginia. He has a solid
business background. He's proven himself tobe quite conservative on you know, defending
parents. And look, Glenn Youngkin. You could take him and put him
(08:52):
in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Michigan,Wisconsin, repeat, Virginia, Pennsylvania,
Michigan, was constant, repeat. You don't have to send him anywhere else.
You just have him back and forthacross those four states. Oh maybe
Minnesota, maybe you reach out becauseMinnesota is only a two point race now,
but you keep him right there inthe Great Lake States, in the
upper Midwest, fronm Virginia to theMidwest back. He doesn't need to go
(09:15):
anywhere else. He doesn't. Youknow, it's a guy who tried to
put in an idea of an abortionlimited fifteen weeks. Most Americans think that
that's not unreasonable, you know, the extreme people do, but most of
you they find that pretty reasonable. He defended parents in the school boards.
That's the story that sells well inWisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Virginia,
and Minnesota. So he's a guywho could really concentrate his efforts. He's
(09:39):
kind of a happy warrior. Ikind of get a Reagan esque feel from
him. He's got a smile onhis face, and he could really settle
the nerves of a lot of thosesuburban moms that look at Trump and still
go, I just don't like thisguy. And look, some of them
don't. A lot of them don't. They don't like Trump. And how
brash he is. He's a NewYork you know, street fight, he's
(10:00):
a Bilbery's a developer. You know, he uses tough language and he uses
you know, he punches down sometimes. I think Glenn Youngkin really humanizes that
ticket potentially. And if he onlydelivers one state, like you said,
like I said, if he deliversthose thirteen electoral votes, it's game over
because Nevada, Arizona, Georgia,North Carolina right now, they all look
to be out of reach. Steveuber Our guests, I agree. I
(10:24):
like Glenn Lee Younkin a lot.I always have, and I was so
happy that he won and flipped whathe looked to be an irretrievably blue state
by Colorado. He flipped it redand it is staying red. His approval
numbers, to Steve's point, alsostaying very high. Steve, you know
Michigan politics as well as anybody thatI know. So I'm going to lay
out a template for our listeners herein Colorado for what is a key swing
(10:46):
state. We know it might comedown to Michigan. It very well could,
and what this election in twenty twentyfour really revolves around for it to
turn red for Donald Trump. I'llgo first to McComb County. We know
that a lot of Reagan Democrats, auto workers, they abandoned the Democratic Party
in twenty sixteen and surprisingly went forTrump over Hillary Clinton. You've got Oakland
(11:07):
County, which used to be alittle bit more conservative in the days of
el Brooks, Patterson, et cetera. That has gone more and more blue.
It's a highly populated county. You'vegot Kent County in Grand Rapids,
which used to be rock bed conservative, very much Christian, Bible Belt type,
DeVos family, etc. But that'sgotten a little bit more purple and
blue. And then you've got thecollege towns, the corridor I seventy five
(11:31):
up through Flint, Saganaw, BayCity. What does this election come down
to in Michigan as far as youcan tell for twenty twenty four, Well,
there's a lot of things which I'mgoing to go back to to one
idea that's also floating around there asa VP pick, and that's Ben Carson.
Yes, he is from Detroit, raised by a single mother there the
most accomplished pediatric surgeon in the historyof the world, really, so he
(11:58):
is a possibility. Does he bringyou in Michigan, I don't know,
but it certainly helps in Detroit whenyou get down to Southeast Michigan. But
I'm going to say this, Alot of discussion about the Muslim vote in
Deerborn and ham Trammick and so forth, and the Democrat Holy War, which
is this whole thing that has eruptedsince October the seventh, has been this.
Obviously, everybody knows the squad onone side decrying Israel for defending itself,
(12:20):
and you've got pro Israel Democrats onthe other side, and Joe Biden
saying I stand with the Israel. But just sort of a lot of waffling
and wavering there, and so alot of people have been on the mindset
that the vote of the Muslim votein Southeast Michigan would be determinative. I
don't think. So here's where Ithink it comes down to Fort Motor Company
lost one point seven billion dollars inthe first quarter this year because every EV
(12:43):
that went out the door, theylost one hundred and thirty two thousand dollars.
EV's are a losing proposition in Michigan. Did you know right now foreign
manufacturers build more cars than Americans doin America? Think about that. That
just came out today in the DetroitNews or an automatic Toyota, Nissan,
pick your poison build more cars inAmerica than GM, Ford for Chrysler.
(13:05):
And that's pretty shocking. The UnitedAuto Workers Unions a shadow what it once
was in nineteen seventy nine, orone point five million auto workers in the
UAW. Now there are less thanfour hundred thousand in the entire world.
Pretty shocking, right, You hitout of the numbers, and that's what
it is. And I think thesix hundred thousand people that are connected to
(13:26):
the auto industry and the suppliers andthe secondary companies are more determinative than the
Muslim vote or the problems in Israel, which are real and serious. But
I think it's those people that aredisaffected that saw when Donald Trump said,
look, it doesn't matter how greatyour contract is if you don't have a
job, and well, a lotof the folks at Stillaunts, the makers
of Chrysler have lost their job sincethat new contractman in the place. So
(13:50):
have workers at GM and FOD,just not to the same extent. I
think that those autoworkers, the backbone, the legacy, the heritage of Michigan
is what's going to determine. Becauseyou talked about the rank and filers you
have. You know, Sean Faincome out and say I'm poor, and
Joe Biden he goes, you know, the rank and file may not be,
but I am. And he's right. The rank and filer not with
(14:11):
him. Joe Biden was the aflCIO earlier. Today he can get endorsed
by the head of the union. It's meaningless because the rank and file people,
the working class folks, whether it'sMichigan or Minnesota or Nevada or wherever
it may be, they are withDonald Trump. That realignment began in twenty
(14:31):
fifteen through the twenty sixteen election.I think it's stayed there pretty well in
twenty twenty for those that came outto vote and Maney did not, and
it will return in force in twentytwenty four. I think it is the
people that look at the ev farceand say this is killing our economy and
killing our plants, and killing ourjob and killing our future that will determine
(14:52):
where those fifteen electoral votes go inMichigan. And I can tell you this.
I spoken to Donald Trump interviewing myMIC program three times in the last
six weeks. Time he was withme. Oh, not quite a month
ago. He spent twenty five minutestalking to me, and we sorted out
the fact that these people are gettingpummeled, these folks that work for the
Ottoman feet are getting pummeled by theseGreen New Deal mandates and demands on the
(15:16):
Biden administration. And I think that'swhat swings Michigan. I think of the
election today, I think Michigan's abouta six tens of one percent to one
percent win for Donald Trump. That'sabout sixty one hundred thousand votes he puts
in the win comp probably closer thansome of the other swing states, but
it does go red. It isthe Bellweather state. I mean, it
might be the one that's right inthe middle in this election. My home
(15:39):
state of Michigan, and the mostpre eminent conservative voice in it Steve Ruber.
He is the host of the SteveGruber Show, syndicative throughout the state
of Michigan, and you can watchhim on Real America's Voice four am to
seven am in the Mountain time zone. One last topic I want to touch
on with you here, Steve.I see this post from you on x
and this has been a concern ofmine dating back to twenty twenty when all
the rules of the elections change andthe wake of COVID and the mail in
(16:03):
ballots that were mass sent out,and Michigan's not really used to that.
I tell my listeners here in Coloradowe have all mail in balloting here,
but back home in Michigan, wehave precincts. You walk there, you
vote in person, you distribute yourballot in the machine yourself. You know,
you show your voter idea, etcetera. But I call them the
witches of Eastwick. Starting with GretchenWhitmer. Then you have Dana Nessel as
a secretary, as the Attorney General, and the Secretary of State, perhaps
(16:26):
most importantly, Joscelyn Benson. Thisnew law signed in by Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
When it comes to election recounts, fraud, et cetera. Is Michigan
set up to run a safe, secure election? In your estimation, this
time around, nobody that does mailin ballots or ats D ballots is set
up for a safe, secure election. There is a reason that every country
(16:49):
in Europe has banned those practices becausethey're right for frauds. Some of those
countries in Europe tried mail in ballots, tried absent D voting. You know,
you can have your femur sticking outof your left side in Europe and
they don't care. You're in thehospital. You don't get to vote.
Sorry about your femur, but you'reout. There's a reason for that.
They know that in person voting isthe way it has to be. In
(17:10):
person voting and counting paper ballots isthe way it has to be. Now
we're not there now. So myadvice to folks, you have to fight
like a Democrat. You do andin Michigan that means I'm going to vote
sometime in the last couple of daysin September, the first day I can
vote. I'm going to vote latein September, and then I'm going to
spend the rest of my time having, you know, maybe a college football
party. Hey, folks, comeon over, bring your ballots. We'll
talk about what you mean. Becausethere are a lot of folks that I
(17:33):
know and you know, Ryan, that believe the way we do. But
they're low propensity. And you can'twait till election day and be down a
million votes in Michigan or millions ofvotes across the country because you know,
mom got sick, or the kidcouldn't go to school, or somebodys got
to think, oh, you know, I meant to vote, but I
don't do that. Do what theDemocrats do. Make sure that that person
who believes the way you do,but maybe not quite as dedicated, not
(17:53):
as enthusiastic, You make sure theyget to the polls because that's the difference.
And it's not very it's not ballotharvesting, it's balid encouragement. You
make sure that they get those ballotsin the drop box. Whatever the laws
of Colorado are you following, Whatare the laws of Michigan are you found?
But you do it. You can'tsit on the sidelines. What we're
dealing with here is too critical. Our future is at stake. I truly
(18:15):
believe that, and The only wayto sleep at night is to do everything
you can to win the selection andtake it away from the socialists and the
extremists and the people that have usriding around in donkey carts if they had
their way. Of course, donkeyshave flatulent so donkeys will probably be illegal
to at some point. But untilthen we can probably survive and so fight
(18:36):
like a democrat, my friends,do what you can get more people.
Look, have an NFL party, have people over. Hey, guys,
bring your ballots, come out overwatch the Big Game. Maybe it's the
Buffalos, you know, losing toMichigan as they should or something like that.
Right, I'm sorry, Did Isay that I just flipped? Did
I mention that Michigan was fifteen andzero in the National champions Did I mention?
I meant to mention right there?Yeah, And I do want to
(19:00):
mention one more thing. I justwant to make sure that folks, though,
you can also catch me Mountain Timeone to two o'clock every day in
the afterne on Real America's Voice TelevisionAmerica's Voice lives a second program I do

five seven, seven, three nine. Start those texts. Ryan back with
more after this on six point thirty. K out. As hot as the

(20:56):
Hoolmes dot com for Frank durand thereal estate Man. And please tell them
Ryan Sentship. Despite all the Democratpanic this week, the truth is it
doesn't matter who they nominate, becausewe are going to beat any one of
them in thundering landslides. And thisNovember is going to be amazing, going
to be the most important election inthe history of our country. Because our
(21:18):
country is going down the tubes. That's a nice way of saying. Our
country's not doing too well. We'venever had anything like it. Our borders,
our economy, the worst inflation ever. We have the politics on our
side, we have the policies onour side that will make America great again,
and they don't. They will onlycontinue to destroy our nation. And
(21:40):
our nation is being destroyed. DonaldTrump at Durrell last night in suburban Miami,
a tremendous speech. Again, youknow, strength conveyed, speak it
into existence, make it inevitable thatin the minds of people who are on
the fence. There are a lotof people like this. I was just
talking about it with Steve Ruber frommy home state of Michigan. They don't
(22:02):
want to vote for a loser, and that comes before, during after the
election, and if it's a coinflip, they go, you know what,
I think Trump's going to win.I want to get behind a winner.
I'm gonna go with Donald Trump.I don't like him a lot personally,
but I was better under Donald Trump, he'll be a better president.
Joe Biden c and Ile. Imean, you have to force this perspective
on people. To Steve's point thatare low propensity voters. That doesn't mean
(22:25):
they're low info voters could be,but they might not be. I like
his idea too of having a footballparty. I could see Kelly doing this.
And if you have right leaning orpersuadable voters, people that you know,
if you give him a gentle nudge, they might just check that box
for Donald Trump. Then yeah, have a little gathering, harvest some ballots.
That's how we got to do this. That's another great point he brought
(22:45):
up. I agree. What theclarion call I have been giving all of
you since I moved here to Coloradowas what the hell is up with this
all mail in voting crap? Andit's not coincidental, at least to me
that ever since Colorado went to allmail in ballots, what has happened to
our elections? They've been dominated byDemocrats. Think about that. It coincides
(23:10):
almost exactly. The only statewide racethat we've won to my knowledge is Senator
Corey Gardner in the last what isthat twelve years and you're not going to
undo this in a day. Ifthe Republicans win the White House, the
Senate, the House. First orderof business, election integrity, first order
(23:30):
of business, securing our elections, implementing federal voter ID laws and making sure
those are enforce in every state inthe Union. Now, every state's going
to have their own election laws. But if you make it what should be
a no brainer, and we talkedabout this from the beginning of the show,
the Congresswoman Lauren Bobert, this SaveAct should be a slam dunk.
(23:52):
Of course, you should have tobe an American citizen who can prove your
citizenship if you're going to vote. Now, the knar that the Democrats float
out there is wow, that'll makeit so that it'll be harder to vote.
And the people that are actually legalcitizens they might not be able to
vote, Yeah, they will. You need an ID to go on a
flight in the United States, youneed an ID to get a driver's license,
(24:15):
you need an ID to prove youridentification for a lot of transactions.
I mean this notion that you somehowaren't going to be able to vote because
there's a barrier to that because ofa government issued ID. And then there's
like, well, you shouldn't haveto pay a poll tax. Well,
then okay, I'll go that extramile as a taxpayer. I'll pay for
(24:37):
people to have legal IDs as ataxpayer base. If that ensures that we
have free, fair elections in whichonly American citizens vote, then yeah,
it should be free to sign upfor and receive, if you are a
legal US citizen a valid government issuedID. That this is simple. But
the Democrats are against it, Andyou always got to ask yourself, then
(25:02):
why are they against it? Whywould they be against it? Because they
want illegals to vote. They wantto import more votes. They don't have
enough, and they know that inthis election cycle. Now, this from
the Donald Trump speech, and thisquote was spot on. But something made
it even better, and I'll revealthat immediately after. But whatever else can
(25:22):
be said about Crook and Joe Biden, you have to give him credit for
one brilliant decision, probably the smartestdecision he's ever made. He picked Kamala
Harris as those vice president. No, it was brilliant because it was an
(25:42):
insurance policy, maybe the best insurancepolicy I've ever seen. Marco. If
Joe had picked someone even halfway competence. They would have bounced him from office
years ago, but they can't becauseshe's got to be I got missed that
cand choice, his vote choice. He's not wrong, and I like that
he turned to little Marco. WheneverI hear that, I hear little Marco.
(26:04):
They did that, Marca, andthat's a little Anymoya actually grown up.
But what was better than even thatquote was CNN, which you know,
like Jake Tapper, and they can'teven figure this out now. They
don't want to air these Trump speecheslive because they know it benefits him.
They're gonna cloak it and say, well, he might say something untrue,
like Joe Biden never lies when hegoes up to it. Come on,
(26:26):
they know it's powerful rhetoric that DonaldTrump wins hearts and minds that if CNN
viewers or MSNBC viewers were allowed toactually watch Donald Trump, they might actually
think he has a pretty good pointand they might be persuaded. But Kristen
Holmes of CNN, along with AndersonCooper here just reread the quote you just
(26:48):
heard, and it's funnier when shereads it. What happens if Kamala Harris
is at the top of the ticket. I want to reach you exactly what
he said, because he just saidit moments ago, so we haven't been
able to cut that sound yet.But he says. Whatever else can be
said about crook Joe Biden, youhave to give him credit for one brilliant
decision. Picking Kamala Harris as hisvice president was the greatest insurance policy of
all time. If Joe had pickedsomeone even halfway competent, they would have
(27:11):
bounced him from his office years ago. So that was read by one of
their reporters, the transcripts from DonaldTrump. It's powerful, It's effective because
it's true, and Donald Trump isplaying this exactly right. They're going to
go into their convention next week. We're going to find out who his vice
presidential pick is. I lean towardDoug Bergham. I like the youngkin pick.
(27:33):
Maybe Trump will totally surprises with somebodyoutside the box. Tulci Gabbert.
I don't know, but you gotto stay tuned. It's like The Apprentice.
He wants it to be like thatSteve ruver SETI. He wants that
element of surprise of drama. He'sp T. Barnum he's a showman and
that plays to his credit. Thatplays to his advantage. But in an
interview here with Brian Killmead, andthis is another guy's like, shut up,
(27:53):
Sean Hannity, shut up Brian Killmead. Let Trump talk and stop interrupting.
I don't understand this, but thiswas kind of humorous, and I
like again the levity of Trump. He's a happy warrior on your vice president
candidate, where it is that youwon't pick Jade Vance because of his facial
hair? Is that is that true? Facial number two dog Doug Bergham,
(28:21):
the thing that hurtscoln Right. He'sa handsome man. No, I never
heard that. He looks like ayoung Abraham Lincoln. He is distinguished.
What is this stop hat like?Just keep it light like that. We
know that on the serious issues,he has the winning policies and he needs
to champion those again and again onthe campaign trail. But in the immediate
(28:41):
aftermath of that debate, Donald Trumphas played this perfectly by going radio silent.
He's done a couple of these ralliesand those are locally effective, but
he didn't grant a sit down interviewwith George Stephanopolis. That was smart.
Why because he didn't want to givethem and by them, I mean the
mainstream media. ABC News, Georgetefhanopplwas Jonathan Carl. He didn't want to
get well, Donald Trump shaid thisand it was outlandish and he's Orange man
(29:04):
bed. Don't even give them anyof that ammunition. Put the focus entirely
on Joe Biden. And look whathappened. He crumbled in that interview.
He said some really wild things inthe morning phone call to Morning Joe.
And while your enemies destroying themselves, don't get in the way. That's a
Napoleonic war theory and it's true andDonald Trump is playing this exactly right.
(29:26):

(31:15):
five seven seven three nine Ryan GoodProgram today. Enjoyed the interview with Lauren.
I have supported her from her firstdays when she's spoken Pueblo. And
what we are faced with is Bidenis the head, but the policies and
programs are Democrats. I think you'regiving Joe Biden too much credit. I
don't think he's in charge. Idon't know that he's ever been in charge.
He is a puppet. He isa figurehead of the government. He
(31:37):
is a palatable face. At leasthe was for the moderate voters out there
that would never have voted for thefar left agenda that Biden's administration has pursued.
And I think a lot of thatis without the knowledge, consent or
buy in of Joe Biden because theJoe Biden I followed, while an idiot
from the eighties and nineties, wasa moderate, he has not governed one
(31:57):
bit like a moderate throughout his threeand a half years in office. As
far as Senator Michael Bennett being theone to come forward and say Joe Biden
will not win in November, thisTexter says Bennett is pulling a ken buck
and is trying to land a futurejob with Fox News. I don't know.
Kelly thinks, no, okay, she's out on that one. Kimberly
says, the Dems need someone todeflect for them, and Bennett has always
(32:22):
been low on the poll of thehierarchy. Kay, he's a brown noserom
okay. It's also possibly might notrun read again in the future. Oom
kay thanks Kimberly. Yes, heis a counselor Mackie from South Park,
and again he only gets angry whenTed Cruz is the target ted Cruz.
Brian, you say Trump is stayingcivil. Sorry I can't remember your exact
(32:44):
term. Did you see his fourthof July message? You got six nice
words out before he turned into histypical immature ranting verbiage he just can't help
himself. I didn't see that,and I haven't noticed that, and I
think his rallies have largely been hilariousand very much informative about his power positions,
the contrast between his administration and thefailing Biden administration. I like Donald
(33:06):
Trump. I find him very funny, and sometimes does he cross the line.
I don't know it's Donald Trump. It's baked into the cake what we
know about him, what we've seenabout him there. I don't know that
there is an October surprise that youcould possibly come up with with everything they've
done to Donald Trump, the law, fair, etc. Ryan. Like
I told Michael Brown this morning,I think it's Glenn Youngkin, and that's
(33:29):
why they've waited so long to announce. Again. I wouldn't be upset with
that pick at all. I thinkit's smart and savvy for a lot of
reasons. He's a popular governor ina swing state that would be blue,
and I think he might give youjust enough to push those thirteen electoral votes
over the edge. I think SteveGruber's right on that I would like and
approve of. Get the thumbs upto a Glenn youngkin pick on the ticket,
(33:51):
and finally this one on the flipside of the mail in ballots here
in Colorado. Look at the RepublicanParty and also the candidates they put up
in statewide elections. The party isit's been a mess for many years now,
with a divide between people like meand you and the establishment. We
want to win here, we haveto reform our party. It's that simple.
I agree with that sentiment. Yeah, the Republicans are their own worst
enemies here in Colorado. I wouldnot disagree with that. I'm just saying
(34:14):
that the interesting coincidence of mail invoting becoming not only the norm, but
kind of the required mechanism. Youcan vote in person, but you really
got to go out of your wayto do that. Democrats winning, I
think those two are correlated, andI'm with Steve Grueber. Paper ballots make
election day a holiday. Like Kellyhas told me during the break, you
(34:34):
know, focus that attention on makingour election safe and secure, and that
should be point of order number one. If Republicans sweep in November, and
I think they just might. Dankap was up next here on six point thirty k
