Speaker 1 (00:03):
We do want to reflect our special thanks for the
for the many guests that have joined us this afternoon.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Thank you, thank you, thank you, and indeed.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
Missus Kyle, Barbara Kyle, thank you for joining us.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
We're so glad that you're here.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
And Evan, I think your second time to be with us,
got to meet you tonight. Thank you so much. And
of course a bishop and sister Ruvicable, thank you. There
are miracle, there are miracle. We're delighted that they're able
to worship with us tonight. I'm going to read from
Hebrews chapter thirteen, a number of scriptures, so I don't know,

(00:51):
it might be good to stand one more time, since
you were sitting there a couple of minutes at least
Hebrews thirteen to one. Let brotherly love continue. Be not
forgetful to entertain strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

(01:16):
Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them,
and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in
the body. Marriage is honorable in all and the bed
and defile, but hormongers and.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Adulters, God will judge.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Let your conversation be without coveteousness, and be content with
such things as you have. For he have said, I
will never leave thee, nor forsake thee verse six, so
that we may boldly say, the Lord is my helper.
Would you say that the Lord is my helper, and

(01:56):
I will not fear. I will not fear what man
shall do unto me. Skip down to verse nine. Please
be not carried away with divers and strange doctrines, for
it is a good thing that the heart be established
with grace, not with meats which have not profited them

(02:18):
that have been occupied therein. And now skipping down to
verse fifteen. By him, therefore, let us offer the sacrifice
of praise to God continually, that is the fruit of
our lips, giving thanks to his name. But to do
good and to communicate, forget not, for with such sacrifices God.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Is well pleased.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves,
for they watch for your souls, as they that must
give a count, that they may do it with joy
and not with grief, for that is unprofitable for you.
And verse eighteen, the first three words pray for us.

(03:07):
I would like to talk with you. You say, wow,
that's a bunch of scripture. What all are you going
to preach about with that? Well, I believe that within
this portion of scripture there is the recipe for spiritual survival.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
And that's what I want to talk.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
With you about the recipe for spiritual survival. And so
what I'm going to do is pull out seven seven
things that I believe are significant, and we'll go backwards
from verse eighteen all the way back to verse one. Now, Lord,

(03:51):
thank you for your presence which has been so rich
and so sweet and so special in this house tonight
as we sang about Calvary and the Cross and your
blood and how you purchased our salvation. And now as

(04:12):
we consider your word, I prayed likewise for that anointing,
anoint that I can share and minister to this people
and anoint their hearts that they may receive the good
word of the Lord, that they can grow thereby and
be stronger in You. Granted, I pray in Jesus' name, Amen,

(04:34):
you may be seated.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
These scriptures are the concluding instructions written to the Jewish
Christians during the first century. Now, these Jewish Christians were
being persecuted from two sides. They were being persecuted by
their own people, the Jewish community, and they were being

(05:02):
persecuted by the political power of Rome. The Roman community,
of course, believing in multiple gods, persecuted these Jewish Christians
because they believed in only one God. And the Jewish

(05:24):
community persecuted their brethren because they believed that this one
God of the Old Testament, whom they believed, the Jewish
community believed. But these Jewish Christians believed that this one
God of the Old Testament became a man in Christ, Jesus.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
And so these were persecuted. They were.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Beaten, they were imprisoned, and some of them were even
killed for their faith.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
So, during this very perilous time.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
For the Jewish Christians, this gospel writer penned a lengthy
letter to them to encourage them, one to not give
up on Jesus, and then secondly, to not return to
the sacrificial rituals of Judaism, but to trust in the

(06:35):
Cross and to trust in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ
for their salvation. Now, from this portion of Scripture, I'm
going to offer seven directives, and I'm calling it the
Recipe for spiritual Survival. Now in the United States. We

(06:59):
are not being jailed. We're not being killed like those
in the First Church were, or like many around the world. Still,
many Christians around the world are being persecuted, and some
are being killed, and many are being jailed. But though

(07:21):
we are not persecuted in that light, our faith is
being challenged. It's being challenged by a worldly system that
is controlled by Satan.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Now.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
This system is made up of communism and atheism, and
the academia and the woke community, and false religions and
backslidden Christian organizations, and it is it is being inspired, directed,

(08:09):
promoted control by the demonic forces of this of this world,
under the direct leadership of that fallen angel, Lucifer. We
know him by Satan, and we call him the Devil. Now,

(08:29):
the worldly system says that our teachings, the teachings of
the Church, is too dogmatic, we are non inclusive, we
are divisive, that our teachings are false. And so this
worldly system feels compelled. And yet we have to understand

(08:53):
that they feel compelled. It is there they feel it
is their duty to do something about the Church, to prevent,
to hinder, to stop the work of the Church in

(09:13):
this world. And they do that with restrictions, with deceptions,
with lies, and even with direct demonic attacks upon the
church and oppression upon the church. And their goal is
to silence the Church. But we dare not back down

(09:40):
because the Church is the only hope of this world. Now,
the beliefs of the Church are established by scripture. It
is our thought already is our sole rule of faith.

(10:04):
And if we live apart from this book, we truly
cannot call ourself Christian.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
But if we live.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
By this book, we can call ourselves Christian. But we
must recognize that Satan is in opposition, and he is
the inspiration of a worldly system bent on destroying the Church. Now,

(10:38):
some of the beliefs of the worldly system, probably first
and foremost is evolution, that all of this happened by chance,
that there was and is no creator God, that we live, we.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
Die, and that's all that there is.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
And the Church, in opposition to that, says, no, God
spoke the world into existence, and God created mankind, and
we belong to God and.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
We are responsible to God.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
We're in such opposition that one one famous evolutionists in
this worldly system taught that the teaching of Christianity to
your children is a form of child abuse. But this

(12:02):
book tells us train up a child in the way
that it should go, and when he's old, he won't depart.
He can't get away from it. He may not live
by it, but he can't get it out of his heart. Now,
the worldly system, the worldly system is pro abortion. The

(12:29):
Church is pro life. The church is against drinking. We're
against we're against drugs. The worldly system is leaning more
and more and more to legalization. The church is pro
marriage between a man and a woman. The worldly system
does not recognize a God's plan for marriage, and so

(12:54):
they create other means of cohabitation, trial marriage, or or
or just living together. Or I had one couple that
came and in the marriage vows they were okay with
everything except till death do us part. And they said,

(13:15):
would you eliminate that part? And of course, you know
what the answer to that was, no, I won't eliminate
that part. You know that you need to go get
someone else to marry you.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
And then, of.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
Course we've entered into an age that just a few
years ago was unheard of.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
But it is that that.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Age of same sex marriage. You said, brother Arwoo, why
do you talk about these things. Just just kind of
leave us alone, let us go and do our thing.
I'm talking about this because the world wants your children.
I'm talking about this because the world wants to steal

(13:58):
from your.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
Heart the truths of Scripture.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
I'm talking about this that if we stick our head
in the sin, the devil, this worldly system will run
over us with with no compassion. The church believes that
a man is born a man, a woman is born

(14:22):
a woman. The worldly system believes that we can change
our gender to a preface preference. The worldly system says
there's no no absolutes, there is no no such things
as sin. You may think it's sin, but I don't
think it's sin. There's no absolutes, but the church Church

(14:44):
says there are absolutes.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
The church says sin is sin. And the Church says
we have to be born.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
Again and we need to stop our sinning, so you
can sin. That these two systems have come together their
butting heads. We can give up, we can cave in.
We can say I don't want to fight that fight,
but that won't prevent them from killing the church. That

(15:16):
won't cause them to let up. The devil will be
happy when he has destroyed you, and so our faith
is constantly under attack, sometimes directly, sometimes more subtly. And

(15:40):
if Satan could destroy the church, he would have already
destroyed the church. But God has already God has already
determined that the gates of hell shall not prevail against
the church.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
There will be a church.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
And the unanswered question is not whether or not there
will be a church. The unanswered question is will you
and I survive.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Spiritually as individuals?

Speaker 3 (16:21):
Will we remain a part of God's Church?

Speaker 2 (16:27):
And I have some good news for you tonight.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
We can, and I'm gonna offer you the recipe for
spiritual revival. Seven directives. I'll try to go quickly. They're
taken from the scripture, and we're going backwards from verse
eighteen forward. Number one, prayer would just say prayer. We

(16:53):
just say pray every day. We can't make it without prayer.
It's our best weapon of defense. It's our weapon offense
of defense against the attacks of the spiritual enemy. And
it is a spiritual enemy, and prayer is a spiritual weapon.

(17:14):
I don't understand all there is to know, or even
begin to understand all there is to know about prayer,
but I know that it works. Praise God. Why does
it work? Why does it work? Because prayer is a

(17:38):
submission to and a dependence upon God. Prayer says, He
is our heavenly father, and we are his children, and
we need him to watch over us us. We need

(18:01):
him to supply for us in this world. We need
his blessing, we need his direction, we need his voice,
we need his correction. And so it is us taking

(18:22):
the role of the child and allowing God to be
our heavenly father. And he is a good father and
he cares for his children.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
And it is.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
Through prayer that we remain, we become, and we remain overcomers,
and we will make it through this world.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Number two, verse seventeen.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
It talks about obedience to spiritual authority. There are three
words that are you in this to in this verse
seventeen and one prior I believe maybe in verse seven,
but three words follow, obey and submit. I always find

(19:15):
it awkward to preach this concept because it seems that
I'm two in my own horn, you know, taking the
pulpit to present my case. But I think most of

(19:36):
you have been around long enough to understand, and you
have sat under different pastors enough that you understand the
significance of spiritual authority in our lives. And of course,
the question immediately arises, what if my spiritual leader is

(19:57):
not doing right?

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Do I follow in blind trust?

Speaker 1 (20:03):
And the answer to that question is found in the
same book.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
That tells you to follow, to obey, to submit.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
The same book that tells you to do that also
tells you that you don't have to follow a backslidden leader.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
If the spiritual leaders go off track, they have to
be removed.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Now there are guidelines, biblical guidelines to follow.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
There are judicial procedures.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
Within our own church by laws that can remove the pastor.
You have the Bible that you have to follow. The
ministers over here have the Bible and another rule book

(21:09):
that we have to follow. It's tougher on us than
it is on you, because you follow the rules of God.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
We have to follow the rules of God and man.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
And if we don't, they call us in before the presbytery,
and they question us, they challenge us, they vote, and
they can take our license.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
And if they take our license.

Speaker 4 (21:46):
Per the bylaws of this church, I could no longer
be your pastor, and you would be free to get
another pastor.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
I think we've been blessed thirty four years, thank God,
sis erait.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
I think we're gonna make it. I don't think they're gonna.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
Kick us out, Brother Croucher, twenty seven years.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
They never kicked you out.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
We won't talk about the couple that they did prior
to us. But I'm not talking about following, following a
backsliding leader or someone that's going off into a false
doctrine and asking you to drink poisonous kool aid.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
That's not what we're talking about.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
I'm just talking about what the Bible says. As long
as this pulpit, as long as you have this pulpit,
and this pulpit is pure, follow, obey, and submit. You say, why, why,
why why do it that way? Why don't we get
a committee? Won't we get something else? Because it's God's

(23:03):
only plan.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
For the church.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
Sheep and shepherds, pastor and parishioners. But the good news
it works. We're talking about Recipe for Spiritual Survival number three,

(23:31):
verse fifteen. Now, I was supposed to get the pulpit
at four thirty five. But I don't know what's in
that card, but I imagine there's something in it. So
anytime you all want to do that, we'll let you

(23:52):
take the time. Okay, I've just kind of covered my tracks.
If you're looking at your watch and saying, boy, he's
preaching long number three, praise, somebody say praise, praise.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Worship.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
Worship is critical. Now, there are various forms of worship.
I understand that we have different personalities. There are certain styles,
you know the Bible. The Bible does give us directives
lift your hands into the Lord, shouting to God with
a voice of triumph.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
Bow.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
Stand. It gives us a lot of directions, sing unto
the Lord. But even with all of those directions, personalities
come into play. But let me sum it up this way.
Let me sum it up this way. You say, brother,
I'm just not that emotional kind Let me sum it
up this way. When it comes to praise, be more

(24:55):
excited and more engaged in your worship to God than
you are about your hobbies, your vacation, your new car,
your favorite sports team, the trophy hanging on your wall.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
Be more engaged, be.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
More inspired, excited about worship to God. And if you
live a life of praise, it will carry you through.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
It will carry you over, It will carry you around.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
It will take you through your worst trials.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Praise God.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
We're talking about spiritual survival. Satan can't have you while
you are praising God. He may get you while you're powder,

(26:03):
but he won't get you while you're praising.

Speaker 5 (26:08):
Right.

Speaker 1 (26:14):
Praise is a partner with prayer. Praise and prayer are
a dynamic duo. Paul and silas beaten cast in prison,
feet in shackles. But at midnight, the scripture says, they

(26:40):
begin to pray and sing praises. And when they did
that dynamic duo, when they participated in prayer and praise,
cud showed up. The prison shook, the the chains fell off,

(27:02):
the doors open, and God won a great victory that day.
Number four from verse fourteen. Got to guard your heart
against what the Bible calls strange doctrine. Stick to the

(27:24):
doctrines of scripture. Jesus is the only way to heaven. Now,
for some reason, some of these Jewish Christians seemed inclined
to return to the rituals of the Old Testament law.

(27:46):
And so the Gospel writer said, don't be carried away
with strange doctrine. The Internet has some strange doctrines. Some
Pentecostal churches have some strange doctrines. Stick with the Bible,

(28:08):
Stick with what the apostle said, Stick with what they
said on the day of Pentecost, when someone said, what
must we do to be saved?

Speaker 2 (28:22):
What must we do?

Speaker 1 (28:25):
No, no, big mystery, No, the apostle said, repent. Turn
to your neighbor and say repent, repent of your sins.
Be baptized, be baptized into Christ, or be baptized with
the minister calling upon the name of Christ. Baptized into

(28:46):
Christ in Jesus' name. Two three. Then you're a candidate
to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
You walk in the.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
Spirit, do those three things. You're gonna make it to heaven.
Be baptized in the name of the Savior. Receive the
Holy Ghost, walk in the spirit. You're gonna make it
to heaven. There's not enough devils in hell to drag
you down if you do those three things.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
Repentance is a turning from your sin.

Speaker 1 (29:28):
Baptism is a removal of your sins, and the Holy
Spirit infieling walking in the Spirit will help you to
overcome future sins. And that, dear ones, is enough. You

(29:52):
don't need a new revelation. You don't need another sign.

Speaker 2 (29:58):
You don't need oil pouring from a bible. You just
need the Bible.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
Somebody say yes. Number five contentment. Don't covet what others have?

Speaker 2 (30:15):
You know why? If you have Jesus, he is.

Speaker 6 (30:24):
Enough.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
If you become wealthy, realize that life is not about
your wealth.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
It's still about Jesus.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
If you become poor, realize that you are rich in Christ.
You are far wealthier than the richest man or woman
in this world who does not have Christ. You are
far wealthier if you have Christ. And yet for many Christians,

(31:04):
Christ doesn't seem to be enough, so they buy into
this concept that rich is better, and they start going
after things and possessions, and their time is consumed. If
you want to buy into something, buy into prayer, buy

(31:26):
into praise, buy into reading your bible, Buy into Jesus.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
He's enough.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
Praise God. Tell your neighbor he's enough. Number six, Verse four.
We've got to get this marriage thing right. Five things.
Dating is between a male and a female. Two Intimacy

(32:02):
is reserved for marriage. Three marriage is between a man
and a woman. Four Once married, intimacy is demanded. Five
once married, no roaming eyes, true to your spouse through

(32:26):
sickness and health, for better, for worse, till death do
us part. We've got to get this marriage thing right,
and if we don't, it could.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
Very well, it could very well.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
Be the thing that's going to trip us up spiritually.
And then finally, number seven, let brotherly love.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
Continue.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
Brotherly love has to abound in the church if we're
going to defeat the onslaught of Satan that will come
against us. If we don't have.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
Love for our brother for our sisters.

Speaker 1 (33:21):
We won't have enough unity. And if we don't have unity,
we won't have enough strength to repel the attacks of Satan. Now,
it's interesting the terminology that was used here. It uses
the terminology bound and we are to be. We are

(33:44):
to love as if we were bound with So if
someone is bound, we should love them as if we
were bound with them. Some translations you who's use the
terminology imprisoned? And I close with this example. I'm going

(34:11):
to ask the drummer who's playing drums tonight, who's the okay.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
Need a couple of the praise.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
Singers to get him by the arms, because he's going
to prison. He's going to prison, taking him to prison.
What does the Bible say about our brothers in prison?

Speaker 2 (34:47):
We are to what brothers in prison? We are to what?
Shoot him?

Speaker 1 (34:55):
Forget him, Write to the newspaper and say, well, they
probably deserve it. Call up your neighbor and say, you know,
the law is always right. So he's a criminal. Put
him in jail, Get lock the door, and come on

(35:26):
here and let's visit with them. Any of you ever
been to the everybody ever been to the Jackson County jail. Well,
this is kind of what it's like. They're on that
side of a glass, you're on this side. And you
pick up a phone and you talk.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
To them, and of course before you leave, what do
you do? Put your hand, what do you do?

Speaker 3 (35:55):
Ah?

Speaker 1 (35:55):
Yes, yes, there you go. Hey forgot my give him
a thumbs up. See, folks, that's not what the Bible.
That's not the kind of love the Bible says we
need to have. The Bible says the kind of love

(36:18):
that we need to have is as if we were.

Speaker 2 (36:29):
Bound with him. Come on in, fellas, this is what
we have to have, Church, This is what we have
to have.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
Doesn't matter what he's done, doesn't matter what he's been
accused of.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
Doesn't matter what the law is saying. If he's my brother.

Speaker 1 (37:01):
This is the kind of love that we have got
to have. And if we do, praise team. Come right ahead.
I'm pretty much finished.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
If we do, if we have that kind of love,
we're gonna make it. Praise good.

Speaker 1 (37:29):
We're gonna make it. We're gonna make it. We're gonna
make it. Put your hand on a neighbor's shoulder and
pray for them right now. Many times we have no
idea what a brother or sister is going through. I
pray for my brothers. I pray for my sister so called.

(37:50):
I bind my heart with their heart. I bind their burden.
I bind together with their burden. I bind my hands
with their hands. Oh God, I enter into their prison
with them.

Speaker 2 (38:12):
Jesus name.

Speaker 6 (38:16):
Name.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
Now, in these final moments, I would like to conclude
with an opportunity for prayer for anyone that is needing God,
anyone that's needing to be baptized, anyone needing the Holy Spirit.
I was reflecting today upon my life and my conversion.

(38:43):
I was a teenager. I was into two things. I
was into cussing and.

Speaker 2 (38:51):
Sports.

Speaker 1 (38:52):
Cussin in sports. That's what I live for, play sports.
And when things didn't go right, you cussed sports and cussin.
And one day in church, just like here tonight, something

(39:14):
got a hold of my heart and I realized that
if I don't do something here, I'm not ready to
meet God. And if I had to meet God today,

(39:35):
I realized I.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
Would be eternally lost.

Speaker 1 (39:40):
There was no way that he could say to me
enter in, but I would have to hear those frightful
words depart from me. So I want the church to pray,
and I want to to take.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
Some time.

Speaker 1 (40:03):
Opportunity for someone who.

Speaker 2 (40:07):
Is in the house tonight.

Speaker 1 (40:10):
And you realize I need Jesus in my heart, I
need him in my life. Then we invite you to
come to this altar. You will not be alone. Before
you get here, or as soon as you get here,
someone will join you. Someone will be bound with you,

(40:33):
and they will be praying with you. Let's stand, Lord
Jesus now these last few moments of this servants, I'm
praying that you will speak.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
To every heart, to every life.

Speaker 1 (40:45):
I pray you'll speak to that one that's discouraged and
help them, Oh God, to find strain before they leave
