Speaker 1 (00:01):
Good evening and live from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This
is doctor John Stamy and I want to welcome everyone
to Scary Cast.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
We got a.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Fun show tonight about one of my favorite topics. My
co host tonight is doctor Trey Dunaway. How are you
doing tonight, Doctor Trey?

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Doing fine? John, I'm happy to be here.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
We're glad you're here too, and it's gonna be a
lot of fun because we've got a guest. I met
him at the World UFO conference that we ran down
in Clayton, Georgia, about I don't know, two months ago,
two and a half months ago, and we've been talking
ever since. He's a really interesting guy. He is the
I think he's the assistant state director of Moufon for

(00:48):
Alabama and his name is John Price. How are you
doing tonight, John, I'm.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Doing fine, Doctor Stamy. How are you guys today? Oh?

Speaker 1 (00:55):
I'm good, I'm good. We're I think we're both pretty good.
I've already talked to to doctor Trey. I believe it
was today, and now everybody's pretty good. We're just ready
to go. Now, tell us a little bit about what
you do with Moufon and then We're gonna move on
to tonight's very interesting story. So what do you do

(01:16):
with Moufon? Now that's for those that don't know, that
is the mutual UFO.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Network with Moufon. I am the assistant State director for
the state of Alabama. I work underneath our State Director
who answers to our Head of Training, and she also

(01:42):
runs the CAG, which is the Case Assistance Group. I
help with everything in Alabama as far as helping the
trainees get trained up, help them get their cases, give
them advice on how to investigate certain things nurse made
them when they need it of them don't need anything,

(02:02):
and try to set up I guess meetings where people
can attend and we can get the word out about
the UFO pheno'menon and move on itself.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Well that's great. Now I want to ask you a
quick question about UFO sightings in Alabama. Do you probably
have a good mini in Huntsville, in Birmingham and Mobile.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Yes, we do. Matter of fact, they are in the
top three. Birmingham, which is Jefferson County, is the number
one in the in the in the state of Alabama.
Madison County, which is Huntsville, is number two, and then

(02:54):
Mobile and Baldwin County. Both of those two counties combined
come in three and four.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
The reason I was asking, I haven't looked at the
stats for moufon in South Carolina, but I know for BFRO,
the Bigfoot Field Research Organization or county slash, Myrtle Beach
is number three. We are the number three most prevalent

(03:22):
sightings of Bigfoot. And so there's a lot of stuff
and there's a lot of UFO stories that I have
heard about that come and go in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
So we got a hotbed of for certain the paranormal
and UFOs and Bigfoot. So it's kind of an exciting

(03:42):
place to live. Now, another thing that's exciting about you
is you were going to be a guest speaker at
two of my events coming up this year. First of all,
you're going to be a guest speaker for the UFO
conference in I guess it's Blue Ridge, Georgia in Fannin County,

(04:03):
Georgia up near Chattanooga. We're going to be having that
January of the eleventh.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
You're going to be there, Yes, sir, I'm going to
be there good.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
And then we're there, and then we're going to have
the next version of the World UFO Conference. That's going
to be well, I'll announced that pretty soon. We're negotiating
with two different locations, but it should be in June again,
like the last one was.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
It was.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
I thought it was a lot of fun, didn't you.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
I did. I it was my first time ever really
attending a conference like that, and I really didn't know
what to expect. But I had a lot of fun.
I learned a lot of stuff, and I'd met some
very interesting people and they were all very knowledgeable, and
you could tell they were really into what they were saying.

(04:53):
They knew what they were doing and it showed it.
I'm like, I got to come back to this one.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
That's great. Those are run just like the academic conferences
that I ran when I was a faculty member at
a university. I ran about ten or twelve academic conferences,
and that's exactly how we ran them. And it's a
lot of fun because people up there talking, you can
feel free to ask questions throughout the speeches and everything,

(05:21):
so it's a lot of fun. Well, I'm glad you
liked it. We'll see you at both of those, if
not another one. We're working on more conferences for sure,
and there are a lot of fun and people do
enjoy it. So tonight you are going to tell us
of a very famous sighting that occurred in north I

(05:44):
got to get my directions right in northeast Alabama, which
would be which would be kind of near northwest Georgia. Now,
I operate in Northeast Georgia, up in Raven County and
Abersham County. That's where I operate. But yet you're you're
over there on the other side of the state. So
tell us about this amazing tale that happened in northeast Georgia.

(06:10):
The floor, sir, is yours.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Oh Lord, Heaven help us. February tenth, nineteen eighty nine.
The primary witness and her sister were had gone to
the store because the sister's husband had come down with
the flu, and they went and gave him some medication.

(06:34):
They were going back home.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Okay, now, now what city? What city was this?

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Don't forget that They're in Fife, Alabama. Okay, yll E, Alabama.
It's a really small town. It really hasn't. It's just
now recovering to the population that it had back then.
But okay, when the primary witness was driving home, they

(07:02):
saw a light, literally just a light, and the sisters like,
that's an unusual place to put a street light. And
the primary weakness is we live on the mountain in
the country. We don't have street lights, you know, there's
no streetlights. And they kind of kept looking at it,

(07:22):
and they kept watching it. They kept driving towards the house.
When she turned on the road that she lives on,
it's right there in front of them, next to her house.
It's in the field beside her house. So she stops
her car and according to her her statements, she was
about a quarter mile away, and she said it was
as large as a satellite dish, and the satellite dishes

(07:47):
back then were between eight twelve feet in diameter. They're
really really huge. And they looked at it for a
little bit, and then they drove on to their home,
keeping keeping her eye on it. And when they got home,
they go inside and they tell their husbands, Hey, there's
a UFO right outside. And so the husbands are like, yeah, right,

(08:10):
you know, bes and bull and they go and look,
and there's a UFO outside and they're looking at it
and they decided to get their binoculars out and they're
watching this UFO. She describes it as a crescent shape. Unfortunately,

(08:32):
she made the mistake of saying it was banana shaped,
which comes in a lot later when they started to
ridicule them. But it was a crescent shape at the
one seven o'clock position, and they watched it for about
forty five minutes, all four of them, and then she
decided that it started to move and to go away,

(08:54):
and she decided that, well, I need to call the
local law enforcement let them know there's a UFO. And
she calls the fifth Police Department, which is the local
police department. According to the map, they're not even five
miles away. And Assistant Chief Works was on duty. He

(09:16):
was getting ready to go off duty, and then police
Chief Garment he was coming on duty, and the Assistant
Chief Works asked police chief. He's like, you want to
go see a UFO And the police Chief's like yeah, right,
he goes, no, really, we got a UFO call. So
they get in the car and they start headed to

(09:40):
the witness's house and Chief Garment is driving, Assistant Chief
is pastor and he's and they see the UFO it's
moving south west towards Collinsville. Okay.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
Now at that point, is the UFO in the.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Air, Yes, it was in the air. It never it
never landed it they I think they said it was
like one hundred or two hundred feet off the ground
the whole time, and then it just kind of lifted
up and then it was just moving towards Colinville in
the southwest direction. And she assistant chief Works set it

(10:28):
looked like a street light in the sky. Didn't belong there,
This is what he said. So they followed it to
the edge of the mountain where and they couldn't go
any further, and it was headed southwest towards Collinsville, towards
the the Cab County Udawa line, like it's headed to Gadgeton.

(10:52):
And they didn't think anything else about it. So they
turned around their headed back to their jurisdiction, and they
get a call on the radio from another police agency
and they said, hey, chief, it's coming back. And so
they pulled their car over, get out of their car

(11:15):
and they look and come in from the southeast. Is
a triangular shaped aircraft. As a triangular shaped craft, dark
gray rounded corners, lights in the corner and one in
the center moving northwest towards Gunnersville, Madison County, towards Hunts

(11:40):
val area.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
So this is definitely a different.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
Craft, right, yes, yes, two different craft different, two completely
different sightings by the same couple of gentlemen, which makes
it very very rare. As they described it as it
came overhead that if you held a beach ball at
arms length is what it would take to cover this craft.

(12:10):
It was approximately fifteen hundred feet in the air, moving
about two hundred and three hundred miles an hour, and
it made absolutely no sound, and they watched it come
over and continue in this northwest direction, and when they

(12:31):
got back to their area, other people once it got
out on police radio, it's all over Scannerland and the
call started. There was approximately fifty different witnesses that called
into nine one one. They called into the local police departments.

(12:52):
There was the Gadsden State Troopers were involved. They had
calls as well, and there was calls of it being
seen from anywhere from Lookout Mountain to Sand Mountain and
the valley that runs the middle where I fifty nine runs.

(13:16):
There was people said that it's accurate. Their dogs are excited.
You better come get this thing. I'm gonna shoot it down.
It was well, it was It was very interesting to
read a lot of the statements people made. But it

(13:36):
got out and Fife at the time had thirteen hundred
people population. They they're very open, very trusting. They close
more deals with a handshake than a contract. They are

(13:57):
I mean, they're down to earth people. They're very very nice.
I mean they're still nice. But if you're an outsider,
now they're not talking again. It's not happening anymore. And
they when the word got out, their population went from
thirteen hundred to about thirty five hundred and four thousand people.

(14:18):
Every Friday night people are coming looking, trying to get
their own sightings in and there was a almost see.
There was about nine more sightings within the next month
in that area. A couple of them were credible, some

(14:39):
of them wasn't. One of the news reporters from Rainsville
paper came out about two weeks later and they were
doing their story. They were doing their follow ups and
she asked the police department, is there been any new

(14:59):
CAUs said, well, we've just had one down where the
original sighting was at. So they go to where the
original sighting was at and they set up their camera
on a tripod and they're shooting black and white film.
They used a long exposure and they shot north. If
I remember what the reporter told me, they were shooting

(15:23):
north and they saw an object just above the trees
in the distance, and that was the object that they
were taking the picture of. In the photographs, you can
see the moon very clearly in the upper left hand corner,
and then just above the trees you'll see a white

(15:44):
line where it goes horizontally, and then you'll see in
another picture where it's in a zig zag pattern going up,
and then you'll see another one where it streaked straight up.
And she captured three three images of that particular craft.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
Okay, don't you trade runaway. It's about time. You probably
have a question or two.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
Well, now, two objects. The first object had a bright
light and it was.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
The first object was described as a bright light.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
Is a crescent like like a gorge, so it's like
like a horseshoe? Or is the crescent?

Speaker 2 (16:37):
How?

Speaker 3 (16:38):
What was what was the bright light attached to? Was
there anything visible that the bright light was attached or
was the bright light in a crescent shape.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
The bright light was the actual craft. Let me uh,
I've got the original investigator's case notes here, so let
me just read to you what he he wrote. The
craft was actually it's crescent. I mean she described it

(17:13):
as a banana, which gave it Okay, later it was
called the Fife banana, so curved.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
It was curved. Which would go with the banana or
a crescent just would depend on shoot.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
The curve was yes, let's see the light simply turned off,
twisted and then inverted through the binoculars. The crescent shape
object was colored red lights on each end the outer
lights on the inside of the curve and on the

(17:50):
outside of the curve was green, and then there was
a white light in the center of the curve. In
the center of the I guess in the apex of
the curve that had been a white light in the middle.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
Okay, if red and green are position lights for aircraft
and a white lights could be a landing light. So
but this didn't correspond to any known.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
No, sir. It had red lights on the tips, green
was in the center on the on the edges front
and back, and then white in the middle.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
So it wouldn't be lights for an aircraft.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
Nelson and she said it hovered about five hundred yards
off the ground, so about a quarter mile off the ground.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
Mm hmm. And Fort Rucker didn't have anything going.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
On, Uh No, sir, Fort Rutgers actually on the other
end of the state. It's in Uh it's it's down
by Dothan. At the time, Huntsville, which would have been
red Stone, they had nothing going on at that time.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
That's true because you do have the is Huntsville the
NASA facility, isn't it.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
Yes, Marshall Space Flight Center is there. A lot of
the testing goes on for a lot of the rockets
there right school is Redstone is known as the Missile
Command headquarters for the US Army. A lot of the
rockets were designed, tested and built there that are still
in use by the military.

Speaker 3 (19:29):
And sounds like it's a moving rocket, that's for sure.
Other and the other object was triangular, silent and moved
pretty fast. But yes, it sounds like it's pretty darn
big mm hmm. Any any ground, any any nothing was recorded.

(19:49):
It was just just hovering.

Speaker 2 (19:54):
Mobile. The crescent shaped hovered and then moved on its own.
The triangle never it had a straight path. It never
stopped it it was it wasn't a straight linear path,
so it's just.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
Cruising by, yes, sir, I tell you, well, you certainly
have the witnesses, So I guess the question is is
it terrestrial or extraterrestrial? And from your descriptions it's really
hard to you really can't decide. But certainly it certainly
was real because it was witnessed by tons of people.

(20:33):
So again it's unidentified, and it was in the air.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
Cool it It went nationwide. Uh, it hit all the
newspapers all over the country, international, and they did a
lot of stories about it, and they did a lot
of press about it. And the people of five were
very fourth. They would tell you exactly what they saw.

(21:03):
And then Inside Edition made a parody of it and
really insulted and embarrassed the people of Fife, and they
came up, they quit talking. To this day, you won't
talk to me about it.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
Sure, well, if you've been ridiculed, But with people witnessing it,
that's that's a legitimate sighting. As far as I'm concerned.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
It was the one that made me start investigating UFOs M.

Speaker 3 (21:37):
And any photographs.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
The three photographs that I sent Doctor Stamey was from
the reporter who took who took them? They are They
were originally published in the Gaston Times, and those are
the only three photographs that of that site. But it
was on the third sighting a couple of weeks later.

(22:03):
It wasn't on that night, and those photographs to this day,
to my knowledge, have never been devoted. Right.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
Well, sounds like the real deal to me. Of course,
the question is extra or terrestrial?

Speaker 2 (22:20):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
It all depends on if you believe that man made
the triangular aircraft, I mean the ones they'd lovingly call
the t R three's, And you know, if those were made,
then if those are men made, then it could have

(22:43):
very the triangle aircraft could have been ours. But I
don't know. But I do know that the Belgian Wave
happened in nineteen ninety and it was a sighting multiple
sightings of triangular aircraft that had lights on each corner
and one in the center, same as what was described

(23:04):
by both Chief Garmenty and Assistant Chief Works.

Speaker 3 (23:08):
Yes, and the trianglar shape is one of the pretty
well documented shapes that have spotted, so that would that
would fit with all that, but no countries yet to
fess up to having some hovercraft that's triangle shape that
can knop that I'm aware of that can that can
hover silently? Interesting?

Speaker 1 (23:30):
Wow, certain it certainly is. Let me ask you a
question now, the Belgian wave you mentioned that, would you
tell a little bit about that to our listeners.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
Sure? In the in the early nineteen nineties, Uh, there
was a there was a wave of UFO sidings in
the in Belgium, the Netherlands and that area, and it
went on for months, months, and everybody was reporting triangular

(24:06):
shaped aircraft and several people were able to capture photographs
of them, and a couple of them got some really
clear pictures of these craft, but they were never able
to figure out who they belonged to they were. I mean,
they just would fly over silently and no one knew.

(24:27):
But there was probably I know, the Belgian government got
involved in investigating them. They asked for pictures to be
sent in and they'd done their best to figure out
what these things were and came up with nothing. And
when I heard about the Belgian wave, it made me
think of the Fife case that happened just a few

(24:50):
months ten months prior.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
Very interesting. Yeah, we can't really say, but it does.
It does sound pretty strange. Now, there have been other
fairly well known sightings in Alabama.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
I haven't there, yes, or there hasn't.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
Do you want to tell us about some of those?
I think that would be interesting for our listeners to
know about.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
H I see if I see, let me make sure
it's in Mobile. Two college students, uh, were out and
about and they saw a craft that they thought had landed.
It had portals on it or portholes on it, and uh,

(25:44):
let's see, let me pull my file up. Make sure
I give it to you correctly, because I don't. I
don't want to. I don't want to tell you wrong.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
Okay, thank you very much.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
What what year did this happening?

Speaker 2 (26:00):
I want to say nineteen sixty eight for this?

Speaker 1 (26:09):
Let's see, isn't this a sighting that kind of went worldwide?

Speaker 2 (26:18):
No, it really didn't take it really didn't take off
as much. There was a lot of press about it,
but it really didn't. It really didn't do a lot.

Speaker 4 (26:30):
The The school took over on the the press to
kind of isolate the students, and the school said, hey,
if they said, if they said, they saw it.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
They saw it, and they handled all the press on it.
They handled all the mobile October nineteen sixty nine. The

(27:09):
two students at the Mobile College and Mobile, Alabama reported
to authorities in late October that they had observed a
landed UFO in a field in the western area of
the city on the night of October the twenty eighth.
The young men at first thought the object was a paindescending,
and they drove along Rains Drive in the wild Wood section.

(27:31):
After it landed, they observed the object was circular shaped,
between thirty five and fifty feet in diameter and about
fifteen feet high. The top was lit by a single
white pulsating light. Two rings of red lights encircled its
mid section. The driver slammed on the brakes and the
two sat there at for a moment, then left in

(27:52):
a hurry a nearby grocery, and then they phoned the police.
The call was answered by patrolman G President, who examined
the area. Beaten down under bush in the field allegedly
indicated the presence of something in the field where the
object was gone. When the officer arrived. Queries to the
local Coastguard Aviation Center at Batesfield reviewed the information that

(28:15):
there had been no plane in the air at nine
point thirty pm on the night of the twenty eighth,
when the object was observed at ten fifteen.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
Well, that physical evidence pretty interesting too.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
Yes, that there's app lot of sketch of that craft.

Speaker 3 (28:36):
I know in Mobile, in particular sightings of unknown things
they're going to increase around Marti Gras time, whether it's
whether it's whether it's terrestrial, extraterrestrial, or from a bottle.
I think with a good factors to increase sightings in

(28:57):
mobile around time of Mark gro.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
Beer goggles let you see wonderful things all goggles. Yes,
uh at. A lot of what they have in Mobile
is right off the coast of Mobile. They have some
oil wells and they do the when they burn off
the excess gases and stuff, that will put out an
orange flame on low on the horizon. And because the

(29:25):
water it kind of looks like it flickers back and forth,
and we get a lot of reports of those right
and the the the the Coast Guard do a lot
of training in that area. It's a very high fixed
wing and rotary ring training center all through that area.
So we have to be really really careful when they

(29:46):
start talking about the coastline like that.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
Right, and with Pensacola right there too, lot lights coming
from Pensacola.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
Oh yeah, yeah, that that. That's kind of a a
busy area down there, all the way through to UH
to New Orleans and and to Louisiana. It is. It
is pretty busy down there. But still you can't explain
something that is no, very very atypical.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
Right leaving leaving marks, leaving evidence that something had had
crushed vegetation. If it correlates the size, that's that's pretty
good evidence. And it does not like a helicopter, No,
not at all when I read it.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
It did not when I read it. All.

Speaker 1 (30:43):
Right, Now, I've got a question for you, John, Yes, sir,
maybe not one you expected, but have you ever seen
an unidentified flying object yourself?

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Three of them?

Speaker 3 (31:00):
Oh, tell us about those?

Speaker 1 (31:02):
Exactly, tell us about those.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
One of them was when I was in the military
in the late eighties, I worked top side security for
the nuclear weapons systems up there, the ICBMs, and we
had a call of a black triangular craft flying at
a high rate of speed going over different towns, and
as it would go over this missile system. The alarms

(31:28):
would go off, and I was stationed out. I was
I was with a staff sergeant setting in an armor
Peacekeeper vehicle and they called it off and they said, hey,
it's coming in your direction. And I got out to look.
The sergeant, in no uncertain terms, told me to get

(31:51):
back in the vehicle. And when I got back in
the vehicle closed the door. The engine shut off. The
vehicle just went completely did and I saw a black
triangle flying. I couldn't really tell you more than it
was just a black triangle, and we wait, we raised.

(32:12):
I had a lot of grief over that one. And
they called us in and they told us. They said, hey,
what you saw was this, And they showed us a picture.
They says, project aroar. This is a plane. That's what
you guys saw. Being a teenager at the time, I
don't even think I was barely nineteen. Uh yeah, you know,

(32:35):
government can lot to me. The military is not going
lot to me. I saw a plane. I was happy
with it. And many many years later, out of the service,
I am working as a deputy. I'm on night shift,
I'm on patrol. It had rained a little bit. I
had pulled over and I park under a street light

(32:58):
because nobody's looking for the police under street light. Sorry,
everybody looks in the knicks, nooks, crannies and dark spots.
And I'm out underneath the streetlight. And I'm doing my
paperwork and I'm minded my own little business. I'm in
my own little world. I don't know what's going on.
I'm just doing my paperwork. I want to go home
when my shift is over. And I thought, God, that

(33:19):
moon is bright tonight. I mean the other side of
my car. Yes, I've got the light from the street light,
but it's like a lot brighter in my car than
it normally is. And I looked out my window and
there's the moon. I mean it was huge, couple hundred

(33:41):
yards off, massive moon, just beautiful round moon. And I
go back and do my paperwork and I thought, oh,
hold on a second. And I looked over my left
shoulder and I see the moon coming up over the mountain.

Speaker 3 (33:57):
It was another moon.

Speaker 2 (33:59):
Yeah, And I thought, Okay, this ain't right. And I
looked back at my front windshield and it's still there.
I'm thinking, okay, what's this. There's a I mean it's wintertime.
The leaves are off the trees, the moon. The light's
coming through the trees, and I can see this thing

(34:19):
is just as clear as clear as day.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
Now, what did it? Was it a large white light
object or was it? Did it look like the moon?

Speaker 2 (34:32):
I thought it was the moon. It was round, spherical white,
putting off a it was glowing white, and I thought
it was a very bright moon moonnight. I just thought
it a very bright moon. That was my initial interpretation
of it. So I thought, okay, you know, now I

(34:55):
want to know what this is. So I'm like, well,
just down the road, there's a driveway that will pull
over that little hill and I can see what it is.
So I get my patrol car going. We go down
not a quarter mile, pull in pull over, and the
moon had followed me. It was still in front of

(35:17):
me by a couple of hundred yards, same altitude. It
still there was the.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Real quick.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
Hunter. George, Okay, one hundred George. It wasn't big, I mean,
whatn't high? And now instead of being where I saw it,
it's now down the road, just in front of me again.
So I get in my car back on the road

(35:49):
and I'm headed south and it stays there. It stays
no matter how fast I if I do fifty, it's
doing fifty. It's it's not it's not leaving me. And
I'm catch it and it stays just to my right,
just just up on that little hill, and I'm thinking, Okay,

(36:10):
it's the light from the cell tower. That's That's what
it is. It's the light from the cell tower. I
can't be that because I've already passed the cell tower
and I'm liking, well, it's got to be the light
from the street light down here at the at the vet.
That's what it's got to do. And I said, can't

(36:31):
be that. It's on the wrong side of the road.
And so the faster I drove trying to get in
front of this thing, the faster it was going, and
it wasn't gaining altitude, it was just matching my speed.
And I'm thinking, Okay, there's a spot right up the right,
up here. I can get on top of this hill

(36:51):
and I can see I can get out of my
car and get a good line of sight down and
get a good, good, good view of this thing. And
I'm not proud to say, but I may have slightly
fracture a speed limit just a little bit okay. And

(37:15):
when I got to where I was going, it was
not behind me. It was still in front of me,
but it had gained an altitude and it was now
headed towards UH, the town where the town where everybody
is at. And I'm thinking, okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna
get in front of this thing. I'm gonna find out

(37:36):
what this thing is. I want to know what this is.
It's no longer about I'm not scared, I'm not mad,
I'm not upset. I'm driven by sheer curiosity. So I
get back on the highway and I take off in
it disappeared, just like you flipped the light switch. It

(37:58):
just vanished, and I remember thinking that is not fair.
I am this close to the town. There's no way
you can't be doing this to me. And about a
mile later, it just reappeared, and I'm like, okay, you're mine.

(38:21):
Now we are way too close to town. Somebody's going
to see you. I'm about to find out what you are.
And when I get into town, I go to the
local UH gas station where everybody hangs out, and they
all know me, and I asked, did y'all see anything
in the sky, and They're like, no, did you see

(38:43):
a helicopter? No airplanes? No, have you been drinking tonight?
It's something like, well yeah, someone them will yeah two beers,
and the others are like no. One of them said, dude,
I just got off work. Ain't had tention yet. I said,

(39:03):
did you see anything? Because I knew where he worked
at and I knew his path to the gas station.
Is like no. So I went inside in the bottom
miss soft drink and I came back out and I thought,
I can't believe this the best thing that's ever happened.
And nobody saw anything. So I gave up on it,
pulled back out on the highway and continued going south.

(39:26):
I was at three miles from town, and there it
was higher in the sky, a little further away. It
was probably at that time a mile in the sky,
three quarters to a mile in the sky, and much

(39:47):
further ahead of me. It was probably two or three
miles ahead of me. And I'm thinking, Okay, if you're
going to follow that interstate, I'm going to shadow and
I'm gonna find what you are. And I fractured a
little bitty speedlnit just a little bit, and I got

(40:09):
down and pulled over on the side road, got out
over or overpass over the interstate. Looked to my right
where I expected it to be, and it wasn't there.
I looked to my left and it was several miles
down the road and it was gaining altitude, so it
was going away, yes, sir, at that time it was.

(40:31):
It was speeding up, going away and gaining.

Speaker 3 (40:33):
Altitude, and no noise.

Speaker 2 (40:36):
No noise, none whatsoever. I chased this thing for seventeen
miles at speeds that I put should have never driven at,
and never got close to it. And when I got

(40:56):
down to the last place that I checked, I saw
it going going out of sight over the mountaintop. I
lost that as it was, it went way past the mountaintop,
and I just sat there and I thought that that
ain't right. I'm running every scenario through my head and

(41:18):
I'm like, that's that's not right. So I called my
dispatcher and I said, has anybody called in with a
low flying plane, helicopter, strange lights in the sky, Is
there any parties going on where they're releasing balloons anything?
And he's like, no, man, we ain't had a call

(41:38):
all night. And I told him what was happening. He says, Oh,
you just saw Venus.

Speaker 5 (41:45):
Yeah, I'm thinking right that loves pretty quick, but I'll
go with Venus and I have never never figured out
what that one is.

Speaker 3 (41:57):
Yeah. Well, well I got to tell you Jack that
that sounds like the real deal too. You know, when
we when we get people on and they talk about
what they've seen, sometimes there's too much detail, and yours

(42:17):
has the ring of truth because it's it wasn't anything.
I mean, nothing happened to You couldn't figure out anything.
It's just strange, unexplainable, and it doesn't fit in any
context of your mind and seeing normal things in the world.
And that's that's what I always look for for someone

(42:39):
with a story that sounds like the real deal too.

Speaker 2 (42:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (42:44):
Now, now I've got a question for you. Were there
any details or markings on that sphere that you could.

Speaker 2 (42:53):
Tell I couldn't see past the light, right, I could
see the light, but couldn't see through the ladder past it,
So I can't answer that question. Sorry.

Speaker 3 (43:06):
Yep is if you have a bright light in front
of something, you can't see the thing it's in front
of because your eyes don't work that way.

Speaker 1 (43:17):
Okay, well that is that's very interesting. Well, especially because
you're the only person that saw it and no one
else did. That's what makes that makes that a very
curious sighting.

Speaker 3 (43:33):
Well, yes, you really got to ask was it playing
with you? I mean it sounds kind of like it
was playing with you.

Speaker 2 (43:41):
I think it was interacting, just messing with me. But
from talking to other folks in this area where it happened,
I have found that other people have had similar events
in that same area. Uh, pretty much. They saw a

(44:04):
white light extremely high in the sky where mine disappeared.
They saw theirs where mine came back. There's disappeared. It
was complete opposite of what mine was. And it took
me a long time to coax that man into telling me.
And I cannot reveal his name. He has way too

(44:26):
much to lose. But I know him very very well,
and if he tells me that, if he tells me something,
that's as good as coming from the gospel.

Speaker 1 (44:45):
So there we have three stories from Alabama. And these
are interesting. I mean, these stories are around in every state.
They're here in South Carolina. We have the but what
we call scouts sh they are circular, they are orange.
They have come up to high rise hotels. People have

(45:09):
seen them. You can't deny that. I mean, I've had
people sit there and tell me those stories and you
know they're town. They're not lying to you. There are
a lot of anomalies out there.

Speaker 2 (45:23):
Yes, but that's what makes this feel so interesting. If
it was easy to figure out, everybody could do it,
and it wouldn't be as fun. I like the challenge
of trying to figure out what it was, if it's
going to happen again, and it's a mystery that just

(45:47):
keeps giving. Once you find one answer, it opens up
more questions and I don't know, to me, it just
keeps drawing you back in. The more the more you learn,
the more you want to learn.

Speaker 1 (46:04):
I've got one more question for you. Have you ever
heard of any personal encounters by people in the UH
in the state wh was? Have they ever been engaged
to the point they were brought in or they saw
some type of life come out of let's call them

(46:28):
a spaceship. Have you ever heard of any of those encounters?

Speaker 2 (46:33):
Yes, we all know about the abduction and Pascal Goula,
Mississippi and oh yeah, three right, one life later in
nineteen seventy three, one month later, we had the Fauxville
incident where the police chief took photographs of what they

(46:55):
called the ten Men, which was he believes. The last
podcast I heard with him, he still believes this day
he saw an extraterrestrial and that happened in north of Birmingham,

(47:15):
off of I sixty five in Folkville, Alabama.

Speaker 1 (47:21):
What were the circumstances of that.

Speaker 2 (47:25):
He was off duty, received a phone call from a
lady saying that there had been a ship that landed
and that there was a creature walking around, and he
went towards. He drove out to that area. He took
his polaroid with him. Let me pull up my file

(47:47):
here and I'll tell you exactly what it was. He Fulkville, Alabama,
took over nineteen seventy three. He when he went out there,

(48:10):
he came across this entity dressed in a metallic suit.
It looked a lot like the flame suits, those high
heat suits that firefighters would wear. Right, it looked very
similar to that. It had an antenna on it, and
when it ran, When it ran from him, he said,

(48:31):
it had a unusual gait. It's like his feet were
on springs for something to be that big that heavy
moved extremely fast, and he chased it and was able
to get a couple of photographs of it, and those
he never released. They did get out because several years

(48:56):
later his residence was broken into. They stole those pictures,
the polaroid, and one other item from that night that
he had kept with him. The town turned against him
within a few months. He had lost his job, his

(49:18):
wife left him, his home was burned to the ground,
and he was pretty much ran out of the area.
All all we called the sun.

Speaker 3 (49:31):
That's that was a common occurrence. And people wouldn't they
clam up about things because people would think they're not
and uh uh they they became persona nongrada.

Speaker 2 (49:42):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (49:44):
In the society today, especially with the with more more
openness about UFOs from the government, as far as that
will take you, that doesn't seem to be the case
as much anymore. People people are going to ostracize you
based on what you see quite as much as they

(50:04):
did back in the sixties. For instance, m HM aimed
that that happened to him.

Speaker 2 (50:12):
Yeah, I mean with him being a law enforcement officer,
he was the police chief. He was in his twenties,
and then you got the Fife incident, dealing with those
officers who were a little bit more middle aged, but
their town backed them up one hundred percent. Come, it

(50:33):
didn't matter. Even other agencies would tell you that if
Junior said he saw it, he saw it right. Yeah,
I mean they were never going to that. He would
never tell you a lie, they said, he just wouldn't
do it, wouldn't leave for you, would like against you.
He ain't gonna lie to you. But I mean, one

(50:53):
town turned, one town didn't.

Speaker 3 (51:00):
This has been This has been a great show. I
especially enjoyed hearing your personal encounters. That's those are the
ones that I always enjoy listening to. And when we
assess it, it's it's a gut feeling, but you're you're
hitting all the cylinders on those.

Speaker 2 (51:18):
It was definitely at night. I will not forget.

Speaker 3 (51:22):
I bet you won't.

Speaker 1 (51:26):
I'll bet.

Speaker 3 (51:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (51:27):
That was fun and John, we really do appreciate you
being on here. Look forward to having you at the
UFO conference who we're putting on in Fannin County at
the at the food bank. Yeah, that's right, it's a
food bank. I had to think there for a minute.
I've been talking to so many people about so many
different venues via food Bank fan in County. That'll be fun.

(51:51):
That will be the eleventh of January. I'll be there,
Jessica Jones will be there, Matt delf will be there.
The Great Mark what's his name, the scientific writer, he
will be there. So we're gonna have Mark Munsey.

Speaker 2 (52:08):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (52:08):
We're gonna have a lot of fun there. Look forward
to having you there, and we've enjoyed having you tonight.
