we're gonna do some filming and someother things. Got a few other
new treats on the grid. We'reworking on some new side pieces to the

(04:16):
and the Dune To Part two reviewof the film. The games that were

It's canceled by EA. And that'sthe trending news so far. Got of
other things on the grid that we'vebeen piping in. This is kind of
the top trending things for right now, and we have a lot of stuff
(04:39):
we're working on over this next juncturepoint, we're going to get some guests.
If you'd like to be a gueston the radio show, this is
episode seventy. If you listen tothis right now and spaciate iHeart Radio or

That's right here through on the livestreamside fiction com or yeah's probably the
(05:00):
best place Facebook messages on there. We get back to you within the day,
if not sooner, and I wouldlove to have you as a guest.
We're going to get some bigger andbetter and aweso guests on. We
need somebody special for the seventy fifthepisodes, so we're going on trying to
get somebody special for that. I'vegot a few ideas, but I can't
drop him here now. It's kindof cush hush basically. That On that
(05:21):
note, we have a lot ofstuff we' getting ready to do, as
you know, people just joining us. My name is ohen Cotter, host
of scie Fiction Side Fiction Radio. It says Mars. She's the co host
all the goodness. We are gettingready to do a lot of events coming
up after those three. We've gotsomething maybe in May and then of course,
we've got July San Diego Comic Con. We've got STLV fifty eight year
(05:45):
mission, looking forward to hopefully doingthat in Las Vegas, going back to
Vegas the second time, and whatelse. And then we have a ICC
seat that's in October though October October, and what we're doing in September searcheing
so of you guys maybe anywhere inthe Texas area, if you guys have
other events, maybe like in Juneor the beginning of July. Messages,
(06:08):
Yeah, because we're also looking tocome cover as well. Preferably our network
is big enough to be you know, if we could cover our expenses,
pay for our flight, our hotelor mix of both, or give us
some gas money at least we'll comecover your event and have a live stream
to all of our platforms and socialmedia. Even got some new technology we're
(06:30):
developing. We can't talk about what'scoming soon. It could be very very
cool for you events out there andother companies and film projects and YadA YadA.
Yeah, I would really recommend y'allreach out to us. We're one
of the bigger channels on the internet. You know, we don't have as
much a sci fi channel, butwe were formerly a sci fi channel,
but we have enough traffic to bea benefit to helping pro events. We
(06:54):
really thank you the fans for joiningus on this journey. We've had a
lot of success with this last year. I think we got about eighty thousand
subscribers from the last year or so. SID. If it wasn't for you,
guys would not be able to evengo to more events. We'll probably
just been sticking to the same ones. But we're getting more people and like,
you know, people that want tobe on the broadcast or be on
(07:15):
the live stream, or want usto shoot like you know, just a
you know, like post their newbook. You know, we we can
do that for you for a smallfee, right We don't ask for a
lot. We're asking for ten ortwenty g's like some of these companies.
We do stuff pretty reasonable. Ifyou can take care of our basic needs
and give us something to work with, we'll work with you as well.
We also have the ability to promoteauthors, like she mentioned, in different
(07:40):
film projects and events as well. There's kind of a three or four tier
system. You look at the channel, especially on the Facebook and on the
site, you can also see meon stage, moderating panels and interviewing people
and all that. We have thatcapability as well as live stream capability to
all of our social outlets, aswell as moderation like I just mentioned before,
(08:00):
panels with a list actors. I'vedone that several times before, also
spoken at Comic Con a few times. We've got, uh what else you've
got? We also have the abilityto post, cross promote and share your
all your actors and shout outs toall your people that are going to be
in guests at the events, allyour due diligence, and we usually start
that at a month rate. Welike to do it six months out if
(08:20):
you have a really big event andreally need some momentum, and especially have
a lot of sci fi guests onthere or anime are especially Star Treks,
Star Wars, Marvel DC, andanime gaming. Those are kind of the
spread of all pretty much all popculture is that fandom. We basically have
all those guests that you have atthe events, we can work with you
on a marketing budget for advertising thosevia our social outs on our site and
(08:43):
everything else. We also open tosponsorships. We're gonna be starting to get
Boba Fett over there to sponsor. You get us some sponsorship too soon,
because God knows we need them. We've got a lot of stuff we're trying
to build for you, the fanson the side, beyond what you just
see on the site. And it'squite expensive, and we've been growing out
of our own pockets, and youknow we have. I've gone through camera
operators like water, like just likeI drink them down and then they're done
(09:07):
the bottle. I don't I don'treally want to hire camera operators for a
thousand dollars a day. Yeah, she's the camera operator. Now. We
do need a little help here andthere, but it's just you know what
an event like San Diego Comic Confor instance, that's technical previewn Well,
if you want to get little foisthere, but Wednesday, Thursday, Friday,
Saturday, Sunday, that's five thousanddollars for some of these camera operators.
(09:30):
That what the greedy is. Youknow, I can get three camera
operators for that if I wanted areasonable for photographers down there, like if
I went on fiber. But anyways, I'm saying is is that we'd rather
take that five thousand dollars and nothave to spend it and get somebody else
to help us out with the bareminimum and maybe make a proceeds, you
know, a sponsorship with something elsethat we can use the fuel. Other
and divisions of the site hire morewriters, do more development for you.
(09:52):
All all the good stuff you seeon the site now and beyond, plus
the other projects of their companions ofthe site, and it's gonna be pieced
together. What it's like assembly,It's like a Lego blocks. We're building
all kind of cool stuff. It'sawesome. But yeah, if you want
to interest in advertising, doing sponsorships, having inscome covery event or a wide
bluff thorugh a full circle of things, feel free to reach out to us.
(10:13):
We're geeks or collectors. As yousee in all the good stuff sci
fi. We got yo to here, we got studio, all this stuff.
Yeah, we got RoboCop, yougot dart Fader, Yeah, what
do you got? Also bubble fetchright there, job of the Hut,
Spider Man, Flash, Gordon Mando, tons of good stuff, the part
(10:35):
of every every character you can imagine. It's a very small small piece,
small section right, most of it'sit's quite impressive. When I get to
that. But yeah, we reallythank you the fans for joining us on
this journey and we're gonna what canbe looking forward to on some of these
events, anything you're looking forward toparticular guests. It's a lot of gaming.
(11:00):
I do love going to cyp Coon. That's the one in Lake Charles,
Louisiana. See why f should wesee y p h A c O
and Cci FA p h A Cohnc O and cia Con. It's in
Lake Charles, Louisiana. They havesome arazing guests including Edward James almost who
is one of the best actors everBattlestar Galactic, Ronald Do More Goodness,
(11:24):
Blade Runner, Mimy Vice, youname it. He's been and all this
stuff and uh so he's gonna bethere along with the whole plethor of other
actors. Also have four bands.I've been a party down there while a
live music just tons of good Thesevendors haul uh I should have a video
games a lot of heavy gaming, have a huge area of its games and
(11:45):
arcade machines and retro games and newgames. And uh I think they have
tournaments too with big jumbo tron screenstournament. So it's pretty cool. They
also have a lot of miniature androle playing simulators. They always bring out,
like the big pod thing where wecan get inside of the three D
and all that stuff. It's prettycool. So if you're gonna be in
the area, if you're near thearea of Lake Charles, so in Texas
to probably be your Houston, Beaumontor even Dallas right or in Louisiana will
(12:13):
be what Jenny Jenna New Orleans.Yeah, all of that little spectrum area.
You guys go and support if youare geeky or your boyfriend or your
girlfriend is the gieky person, youknow, want to do a quick little
date. Actually, mine and Owen'sfirst date was it Retro Expo retro Mania
(12:37):
Retro sorry Rechel And it was inNew bron That was a cool I enjoyed
that. Yeah, So we're basicallyI'm just yearing up to do a lot
of good stuff you're coming up.We're looking forward to Comic Con as well.
We've got a lot of stuff we'relooking forward to coming up. Before
the Star Trek st l V fiftyeight year mission, I was in Las
(12:58):
Vegas as well. By the coolevent. I do like that one.
They had a great, some greatpanels. If they won't shot, well,
if you're a fan, you're atrucky. Also, we're hoping to
go whenever they bring it back tothe US, the Star Wars Celebration.
Hoping they bring it to the Orlandoor Anaheim or somewhere wherever it's out in
the US. We'll go to itbecause that'd be great. I know the
(13:18):
one in was it London? Theywere not accepting any press that I don't
know what that's about. That's undertheir no. I think they weren't any
excepting any press, but we didn'thave man of correspondent, one of our
writers, Karen Burt. Yeah.Yeah, we bought him a ticket so
he can go and he was ableto take some photos, interview the fans.
(13:39):
The fans it was. It wasamazing, and he said he enjoyed
it. Yes, it was likeone of the best gifts that we can
give. Yes, awesome, Butwe basically really loved the Star Wars celebration.
I went to the one in twentynineteen as well as the one in
twenty seventeen to the fortieth and worshipof Star Wars. We're looking forward to
(14:01):
coming up with the fiftieth anniversary ofStar Wars. Time flies boom. But
yeah, we're looking forward to goingto the Star Wars celebration when it comes
like Tokyo, Japan, we mightget similar enemy. Writer lives in a
lot of Japan, so maybe ifhe's close by me, we can get
him a ticket out of this one. See what it goes on down and
I think the last was amazing.Get Hayden Christiansen was there, you McGregor.
The one in London was just bullthrottle awesome, but the one in
(14:24):
Chicago allnois was pretty good. McCormick. They had a lot of interactives,
so they had the Vaders Immortal youcould test out the the the VR headset
with the lightsabers and all that. And then the one in uh Orlando had
it was just amazing. Landed wasskilled all kind of to talk to Brandon
Allen Jr. Prop store. Hehad all a lot of cool stuff from
the original original trilogy, props andstuff like that, all kind of cool,
(14:48):
you know, mocats and sabers anduh the little puppet of So when
you're watching Empire strikes back that scenewhen when the top of the falcon opens
up and Lando's coming out to rescueLuke's hanging on that spire out on the
bottom of Cloud City. That onelittle clip of him coming out is actually
a puppet of him, and itcuts to him grabbing them coming in the
(15:11):
ship allive action. That's a puppet. So they had a little miniature miniature
micro Orlando Kyle rissiing about foot tallor is so highly detailed, and they're
auctioning that off of that year's auction. A lot of the really cool mol
Ralph mcquarie concept, all kind ofcool stuff from that one that was pretty
cool. And then the one wewent to, well that was Comic Con
in twenty nineteen. That was funtoo. He had a baby e walk
(15:35):
in that on the little baby Ewalk that's in there from Return to the
Jedda, and he had some StarTrek phasers, this communicators, all kind
of cool good I love the PropStore. They always have cool stuff,
but to bring them on they're doinga big auction. I can think this
week or just had it coming upor some of that. Yeah, the
Captain's chair from Star Trek Next Generationwhich was lost misplaced for like thirty years.
(15:58):
I think that Paramount and decided notto auction it. Paramount wants it
back to restore it, to putit in like the Archive museum. So
that's kind of cool. So Ichecked that out. It's gonna be like
a piece of history there. Iknow, when they did season three of
Star Trek Picard, they basically archivedthe entire recreated bridge set for future purposes,
basically for historical purposes and possible futurefilming purposes if they need as well.
(16:22):
But that was I remember the originalone with generations. They well,
the original one was dismantled and destroyedor whatever, so that was no longer
there to film. But that stuffwas really cool, So I checked that
out. And then speaking of StarWars news they've got of course, they've
announced some of these new films likeThe Mandalorian and Groku here's hoping Dave Filonia
that's Airedge of the Empire better checkedout. That's gonna be cool, and
(16:45):
and or season out that the writerstrikes everyhe and the actors strike. I
think they're getting back to filming andout of stuff, including our buddy Randolph
Allen. I guess this is true. I'm pretty sure it probably is.
He said that over at his interviewwill be here later in the broadcast,
probably about you know, we gotabout twenty nine to thirty minutes worth of
quality audio here coming up next inthis next broadcast, leading with Jake Stormone's
(17:10):
interview, talking about all kind ofstuff he's done and what he's doing these
days, and his two companies hestarted up, gotting a cool company with
gaming dice like for Dungeons and Dragonsis pretty neat. He's gonna be He'll
be coming up next, as wellas a whole bunch of other good audio
segments. But yeah, we weretalking the random he said, they're beginning
filming season three of Strange New Walls, So that cliffhanger with a Pike and
(17:30):
I don't spoil it, cliffhanger wherePike's on the bridge, like, oh,
that's coming up next, the battlescene, we'll see it in season
three. Looking forward to that,of course, and or season two.
I'm really looking forward to that inthe second season because we got to see
what happens to and Or on thatand then you know, we got of
course of Soca. I don't knowif they're gonna do more Mandalori, and
I think he's going to do hismovies. Now, I don't know if
(17:51):
we'll get more booking Boba Fett.We are getting a Skeleton Crew with Jude
Law really looking forward to seeing whatthat's about. It's kind of like the
Yeah, he's gonna I mean hisown Star Wars series. It's called the
Skeleton Crew. It's kind of likethey call it. Some people call it
like goonies in space. So you'vegot like these kids they get the spaceship
basically a skeleton crew on the ship. They're doing some kind of adventure opping
(18:14):
or smuggling away. In Gotik,it was a good movie that That was
a great movie. Got It washe in a artificial intelligence too well,
he was good. The robot thathe teamed up with Haley. What's the
kid? The little robot kid andhe ends up getting frozen and there was
thousands of years later those people oraliens or whatever. That's a wild movie.
(18:36):
But yeah, basically that's the endof that. But we're gonna be
wrapping a segment up because episode seventy. If you're listening to this on Subspace
Radio Network for iHeartRadio, Subspace RadioNetwork, Side Fiction Radio, we'll be
closing up shop here. We gotabout one minute or so to Goo.

you have a beautiful week and weekendas well? On for sci fiction.
We are here at cos Con fortysix, second day, March the second
Well, mister Jake Storman, howare you doing there? Sir? Doing
very well? Thank you? Howare you doing amazing? You've done a
lot of stuff. You've done thewhole pluther things, videos, games,
(19:48):
TV shows, mythica. What's thingsare you working on now? For president?
You know you've done a lot ofstuff as well. Beyond that.
Yeah, sure, man, Iuh yeah, there's been a few things.
Mythica was one of the first thingsI did, and just direct did
the sixth movie in that series,so that's coming out soon. I did
a CW show for four seasons calledThe Outpost. Right now, I'm in
the middle of filming a movie calledSeeking Persephone, based on a USA Today
(20:11):
best selling book series. Is thatdone with the guy Jeffrey Morris. No,
it's not. Actually this is thisis different. This is like a
regency kind of almost Jane austen stype thing, so not quite comic con
but but that's what I'm working onright now. And then I have a
horrible habit of not liking to sitstill, so between films and TV shows,
I keep starting companies. So Ihave a D and D dice company
(20:33):
called Stormforge Dice, which is partneredwith Diehard Dice and they're wonderful. And
then I just launched a jewelry companycalled Unearthed Imporium. So you've got your
jewelry there. That's one of thebrightst things right here. And I've got
more right over this way. Ican. In fact, Scotty, would
you hear me? Got some goodI got the dice too. Oh,
just got some dice. Check thisout, everybody check these dives. Here's
(20:56):
one set of of storm forged dice, thank you very much. And here's
a few, a few pieces aswe have an amber ring, sapphire ring.
Yeah, yeah, so all sortsof stuff, so I keep busy.
And they're all handmade here in theUS and pure silver. Yeah.
What sizes of these come up tothe rings? Everything's made to order.
The rings are I've got six throughthirteen and half sizes as well. I
(21:19):
don't know if there's that do wedo it? Do we do it thirteen
or four to fourteen? But itdepends what cut. Yeah, it'd be
awesome. So the video games stuff, you've been doing voice acting with that,
any other thing? What's going onwith that. I've done a handful
of things. The biggest video gameis probably Elder Scrolls Online. I've done
a bunch of characters for ESO.Their Blackwood chapter had had me in there
(21:40):
a lot. I played Destron, who was uh yeah, yeah yeah,
and the Adoring Admirer, who's kindof a throwback to but yeah, yeah
yeah, the adoring fan. Yeah, and they've brought me in a few
times, So maybe more in thefuture. We'll see, I don't Yeah,
we'll see what happens. So you'vedone a little bit of everything,
like sci fi fantasy. Is thereanything you're looking forward to, would like
to see in the horizon the way? And also what is the overall message
(22:02):
what you like to take from yourwork to deliver to your fans. Honestly,
I've been a fantasy and sci figeek my entire life. I mean,
I grew up playing D and D, which is why I started a
D and D dice company, Magicthe Gathering. I always had my nose
in a fantasy book, you know, playing fantasy games, watching fantasy movies.
I love it. I love itso much. And and so to
(22:23):
get to do that, and afterworking on the Outpost, and and now
being in a place where my careerhas has leveled up enough that that I
can do things like this on theside. These are pure passion projects and
and so it's genuinely I know itsounds cheesy, but it's a huge joy
and a gift for me to beable to design things like this and get
(22:45):
them out into the world, intointo new homes, and and for people
to love them. So I justI'm very lucky that that half of what
I've done is you know, speakingwith you know, with an English dialect
and wearing armor and sword fighting andriding horses and all the rest of it.
And and that I get to dothat for a living. Is it's
still a pinch me moment. Soit's great. And if that can continue,
(23:08):
I'll be a happy camper. We'llsee what happened must continue. This
is I can also resonates kind ofon the fantasy vibe and gaming about what
your works are as well. Itdoes the jewelry especially. The whole reason
I started that is is I,you know, would read these books as
a kid, and now even Istill read all the time and play these
games. And I always wanted tofind you know, artifacts and relics and
(23:30):
right and and I felt like nobodywas doing that. You know, you
look up quote unquote fantasy jewelry andit's stars and dragons and wizards, and
I wanted stuff that looked like itcame from those worlds. So every piece
that I release has it looks likeit too as well. I appreciate that
has If you go to my websiteunearthed Iporium dot com for the jewelry,
specifically Undearthed andporium dot com. Checkit out. Check it out please.
(23:52):
I would love that I do allthe product fulfillment, So bear with me
because I do pop ups kind ofwhen I can, when I between movies.
But but yeah, every piece haslike research notes and lore of where
it was found, what enchantments ithad. Yeah. Yeah, so I'm
doing like world building through through thepieces, so I just I can't get
away from it. I love it. I love it so much and I
(24:14):
love sharing it, and it's beenreceived very well, so I'm very fortunate,
super awesome wrapping up. Is thereany like links I think you have
under Earthed and forum an the otherlinks you like to shatter in the upcoming
things you can kind of tease inthe pipeline. I well, as I'm
allowed to post behind the scenes fromthe movie I'm currently working on, I
will. But my Instagram is kindof the main social social media that I
use. It's just my name atJake stormone, so maybe that'll pop up.
(24:37):
I don't know how how the graphicswork, but at Jake's stormone it'll
be right down here in that I'vegot links all my subsidiaries and side companies
and stuff. But I try tokeep people posted best I can. So
awesome, mister Jake, Absolutely pleasuretalking me, sir. Almost side Fish's
coming to Coast Con forty six.Signing up. We're here Coast Con forty
(24:57):
six, last a March third. What mister Matthew Wires? How you doing?
They sir? I'm good? Howare you? And awesome? You
got sci fi books? Some reallycool art on that. What are these
books? Imo? Yeah? Thisis middle grade science fiction. I've had
readers that are young as eight thatthey were entertained by teenagers all the way
up to seventy year olds that thoughtthey were cool stories. If you like
(25:19):
Doctor Who, space travel, timetravel, those sorts of adventures, really
fun stories. I've got two booksright now among the Stars. The Accidental
Astronaut is the first book. TheMidnight Plot is the second. The third
is in progress. It'll be atrilogy, probably seven, so I'm really
just getting started here. So yeah, I'll probably have seven. And a
(25:42):
quick quick blurb. Kids get up, Kids get abducted by aliens. They
are rescued by what effectively is ais a police cop that patrols that portion
of the universe. He calls forhelp because something is not right. The
aliens that have evaded Earth are somebodyhe's never heard of before. He calls
(26:06):
for help, nobody's nobody's answering, and all of a sudden he gets when
of a time traveling mad scientist whois bent on destroying the planet and conquering
the universe. Well, it's aserious plot. Rather a serious plot.
Now you've been doing how long haveyou been writing out sci fi and judging
in the general five six years?Very cool? What is have you said?
(26:29):
Seven books? Is there stuff you'vedone before this or no? These
are the first books that I've actuallycompleted and gotten out. So that's my
goal here in seven books is uhto tell the story of how these twelve
year old kids basically save the universe. It's awesome. What is? What
does sci fi mean to you? What made you want to write and get
in a sci fi writting? Scifi in part is just fun. I
(26:52):
can let my imagination run wild.I don't have to worry about researching finite
details to make it. I canmake up whatever I want to. But
science fiction, in part, Ithink tells great stories that are that are
inspiring. One of the reasons thatI'm writing about kids is because these kids
want to make the world a betterplace. Uh for other people. When
(27:17):
I was young, had a toughchildhood. This is about overcoming trauma and
turning it into something good for otherpeople. That's totally awesome. Uh.
Where do people going to find aboutthe book I am on Amazon? I've
got got an author page there,Matthew K. Wires. The last name
is spelled w y E r S. I say that because it's an odd
name. So, but yeah,I've got got my books on Amazon and

I'm doing great. How are youdoing? Awesome? We've been here all
week and long talking to all thefans, artists, everybody in between.
What kind of art do you do? You look like a little pop coast
little bit everything. Oh yeah,I'm a mixture of everything. I'm a
little bit of an eccentric artist.I don't know, as you could tell.
I picked the right costume. Itkind of fits my personality just a
little bit. But I do amixture between fan art. I have original
(28:34):
art over here now. I hada line called the night Owl Collection about
three years ago, and I'm actuallystarting another one here soon. I'm probably
gonna have a showing sometime at theend of the year. So basically,
they're UV reactive paintings, like whereI use sailboats and owls and you know,
things like that. So the fanart, I just got into it
(28:56):
because it was just something fun todo and something different. And I really
enjoy commic can echins and the vibeand I love all of it. So
very cool. These arts are sodetailed. How do you go about getting
like how long does it take? How have you been doing the art first?
And how long did you take toget these likenesses? Is done on
like that? You know, itjust really depends on how long, you
know, I sit down with it. Like for instance, this guy right
here, we go, oh ohnow, so he's only We're going to
(29:22):
Batman right now? And he's onlytaken me like, this is two days
work, super dood. It's gonnabe like Batman goodness? Is that the
bat flick? This is the MichaelKeaton Like, oh yeah, it's Michael
Keaton. You can with the faceas Michael Kean for sure. Hassalls very
cool. That's gonna be all blingingdown anything. So you got wonder Woman
here and Groot and all that. What's some of what some of your people
that were request what kind stuff therequest the most? My most popular prints
(29:45):
are like Deadpool, what's coming?I knew the third movie? Yeah,
absolutely, and then some people likethe you know, original art like Zip
and stuff like that, but peoplethink it's the John Wick cat. Another
popular print I have over here. It's a spaceship beaming up cows too,
beaming up Cows's say, you getthat one? It seeming great? Check
(30:07):
this outther but oh wow, yeah, this is definitely one of my most
popular ones. That's done with UVreflective. Uh wow, the commission and
he wanted the UV light in it. Now, some of my fan art
glows in the dark, but notall of it. I just kind of
my Batman. Won't you got this? Christina Ricci down there. We'll get
some b roll out on the side. Here. It's like the originally signed
(30:30):
by her stead I like to seeAdams family goodness. The original The original
was a sixteen by sixteen and uhyes it was signed by her at the
Jackson, Mississippi Comic Cotton It wasa couple of years ago. So yeah,
it's totally dope. That is awesome. You've got all this. Is
there a place where people can findout about you on the internet, absolutely,
(30:53):
Nord Childers dot com. Check itout. She's got some amazing stuff
and this soone for some fiction.By the way, coming to you for
Coast Con to the second day fortysix signing off, come check it out.
If you're not here this year, come to Thelexsisissippi. Next year be
CoastCon forty seven. She'll be theretoo. We're here Coast Con forty six,
the last day of the event.Join here with Randolph Allen, Vice
(31:15):
AMRA of the Federation. How youdoing there? And hey, I'm doing
great stand out in trouble. Thistime I'm surrounded by tribles, the trouble
with troubles. We got all kindof goodies. So you got gorns and
Trebles and Badgie and all Glombers andand the new Season three Trible and the
Federation Standard the Wooly Bear Trible.Yeah, so we got some, we
(31:36):
got some. We got stuff heretoday, oh zoo of Cornicopi of sci
fi goodness. I will point outthat most of this most can can be
found on the Federation Promenade, whichis basically Trek Federation dot com shop.
Uh, so you can get allof this there. They have also a
lot of collectibles for Star Wars andyou can join the Federation for free.
(32:00):
So cool. Do you have youalas need flagship store down there in Ohio?
Right, that's our Sandusky story.Yeah, that's our headquarters. So
yes, that's also where subspace radiois uh is coming out of. So
there you go. You got yourplugs subspace radio stations. That's right.
We have the new the new headquartershas this big monster enterprise Mallel or something'll
(32:22):
got in it. Right, that'sone of their latest acquisitions. Uh.
I'm told that our president uh hadto wrangle that deal from a few FARRINGI
who were uh they were reluctant. But you know, he's good. He's
good with the silver. The silvertongue. Okay, yep. So so
(32:43):
sci fi, what's the new stuffyou watch? You think you got got
into literature books or TV shows ormovies. Oh we well, Uh,
the thing that we're talking about rightnow is getting ready for stration Your Worlds
to drop. So we're looking forwardto that right now, and the and
the scot Free because it's the lastseason, uh huh. And then we've
(33:04):
also got Prodigy happening on Netflix now, so we are getting ready to watch
that as well because those are goingto be hopefully the most awesome season,
right the most awesome season ever. That ninety ceremony. There we go,
we got some we got action overthere. They're nighting, they're nighting everything
(33:25):
of the Nighting Ceremony of the RoyalCourt. So that's a new thing as
well. At the con. Soyeah, I'm hearing stories about Battlestar Galactica
that I haven't heard anything substantial yet, but the rumors are there that they're
saying we're going to do a BattletarGalactica story, so they might be doing
(33:45):
that. I am looking for thelast season of Superman and Lewis. That
makes me sad because you know that'sactually one of the it's a good show.
They actually did some good work onit. But I got the chance
to see some bad Batch and soso that is making me very happy.
Right now, Dad Batch is goinginto what about your thoughts on this weekend
(34:07):
raunching done too? Well, Ihaven't seen it yet, it's right,
but I'm hearing good things song. But I did see the first movie.
You know, I did like thefirst movie. So if anything, we
know that every probably just straight onshoot doing shooting. And they did a
editorial split for the second half.So Timothy Shamlot, of course is the
(34:30):
new Paul Trade's what do you thinkabout the cast? And we've got some
powerful names like you've got you know, Josh Brolin, Dave Batista, you
got even like Christopher Walking as EmperorShaddam, the fourth of the Known Galaxy.
Well, give me a sec. He's got something. What we've got?
Okay, you got trypod. That'sa mass amount again. So anyway,
(34:51):
let's try this again, all right. You know, the thing is
is that I'm looking at this likea brand new movie, and I saw
the David Lynch want to day lunchwork. Yeah, Well, you know,
when you look at David Lynch, and you ask that question again,
what do you think about seeing Maxidellin there, seeing seeing Sir Patrick Stewart.
(35:12):
Ah, yeah, there's like Gurney, right, yes, he played
Gurney. There's there's a lot ofyou know that was the same caliber.
You know, So saying someone nameslike Josh Brolin, I think Josh Brolin
has been I've seen Josh Brolin sinceGoonies Man, so you can tell,
you can tell that he's uh,like his father before him, that he
(35:36):
has learned the craft really well.I like it as Gurney, I think
he did. He does a goodGurney he did, you know, in
comparison to Patrick Stewart, it's aslightly different one. You know. Patrick
Stewart comes at it with the gravitasof a Shakespearean actor, and Josh Brolin
is like channeling his inner Cable againand all his you know, he's Josh
Brolin can do gruff better. Andthat's a good that's a good way to
(35:59):
look at it. I love JasonMomoa's duncan uh And that's a lot of
people don't realize that that in Juneone they gave more exposure. I mean,
I get it's Jason Momoa, butI mean it kind of puts his
character in perspective of his relationship withPaul, which he's really clearly defined in
the book, and they kind ofadded a little bit to it and without
(36:21):
ruining the storyline, it was justjust enough to establish that these are buddies.
They were pals. They you know, they see each other. And
you know, the boy prince whohas barely any friends, this is the
one true friend he has for sure. For people wrapping up, where do
you find about the Federation? Howdo they donate to the Federation? Well,
we have our we have our websitewhich is Trek Federation dot com slash
(36:45):
donate. We do it through avariety of ways, but we do have
a portal forgive butter on that site. Uh, it is a we have
several things going on at this time. We're doing because the seasons are because
we had a wacky season to share, we kind of didn't We didn't dive
onto one humanitarian effort, we dialedonto several. I mean, right now
(37:06):
I'm I'm reading up on a sourcethat is telling us, you know,
prepare, you know, because we'redealing with lat Ninia Loggia might contribute to
a greater hurricane season, so wemight be focusing on that. But we've
been we've been helping, you know, raising money for the for the Japanese
tsunami victims. We've been trying toraise money for the Ukrainian refugees and any
(37:30):
refugees pretty much, you know, and now switching wheels of helping out other
refugees, like what's happening in Israeland so forth. So we're doing that.
Excuse me, I have an interview. It's all good. We got
luck commands paging Randolph five Sama.Randol needs to be on the bridge.
(37:51):
He's been beaming up to his merchantin space. Right if I want to
thank you so much for being thebroadcasts almost side fiction coach con forty six,
So we're here a coach on fortysix. Day two was Scott.
He's got some awesome comic Superman.Actually, tell me what you got,
Well, we've got Action Comics numberten. Yes, that's a third appearance
of Superman on the cover of acomic book. That one's thirty thousand and
(38:13):
Superman seventeen is where he's holding upHitler and hero Hido. That's right in
the heart of World War Two,nineteen forty two. That one's nine thousand,
and of course Action comics number fifteenhere, that's out of Nicholas Cage's
collection. That's twenty thousand, andof course I got various Superman and Action
comics. This number six years signed? Who is that by? Like Clark?
(38:35):
Oh, it's got Clark Kenning. What year is that one? The
forties or nineteen forty Yes, sir, so guice what you got on?
That's a nice copy? Then it'sabout two thousand, Yes, sir,
these ones here you got? Wasthat Lex Luthor? Yes? I think
so. Well, No, Ithink it's just a citizen citizen. He's
getting the rocks Chrystal. These whatmade you get I'm sure obviously you're superminvent.
What resonates with you on Superman?Oh? I always had. I
(38:57):
loved it as a kid growing up, and I just uh, I used
to watch the old television shows andstuff, and I just I don't know,
I love comics and just I'm intoDisney and Superman a little bit of
everything, and selling a little bitof my collection here, but just they're
just a lot of fun. Thisart form has become so popular as of
recent because of these comics getting olderand the Cube superhos are getting older.
(39:20):
What do you think this is kindof like fine art? Now you get
these auctions of these comics, yousee like so off for like you know,
twenty thousand, one hundred thousand superyou know, millions whatever. What
do you see the future of thisstuff going? I mean even more and
more as time progressing, they getolder and more rare. Well, it
sure doesn't seem to be slowing downor going down at all. They sure
haven't disappointed me. I've invested somemoney in these back, you know,
several years ago, twenty years ago, and they've done really well, so
(39:45):
I'm not disappointed. I don't seeit slowing down though, or the value
really diminishing at all. And Ijust just they just keep increasing, so
hopefully it'll continue that trim these littleguys, you know what are these?
These are some of my older things. Are the thirties and twenties too,
believe big a little looks. Yeah, they're from the thirties and early forties.
They sold for a dime. Theyusually weren't made on very good quality
(40:06):
papers, so they call it uppulpers all right, Yeah, they weren't
made. I'm very good quality papers, so they tend to tend to hard
to find with the spines and intact. Yeah, very cool. These cards
are these from what are these fromnineteen forty? These are Superman cards from
nineteen forty and Dick Tracy cards fromnineteen Dick Tracy and the Wrist Radio and
all. That's awesome. So wherein the in the image of comics,
(40:28):
what's the message of all this toyou from you that you like to take
the deliver from in your life. They're just a lot of fun, just
something I've enjoyed over the years, and you know, hopefully that pass he's
on to someone else who can enjoythem like I have. Very cool Scott
pleasu're talking with you, sir. It's owing at Coast Con forty six checking
out. Come down if you're downhere. If you're not, come next
(40:49):
year for Coast Coon forty seven.Signing off. We hear at Coast Con
forty six, last day, Marchthe third with Miss Terrissa Howard. How
are you doing to Teresa? Doinggreat? You've got a lot of cool
books here, space Opress stuff. We've got the Mandalorians here as well coming
through. What kind of stuff doyou have in the space opera? And
what you stuff you write about?Okay, this one, it's the first
(41:12):
book I ever wrote, and itis a story of the first interplanetary student
exchange and a girl who discovers she'shalf alien goes on a journey to find
her father. And the following novelis Prophecy's Daughter, which is about her
daughter who was created in a lab. She was artificially built in the laboratory
(41:37):
that's also created from an embryo.Yeah, what are these other books?
You've got? This one called TheEmpress and the other one on the replicants
The Empress The Reluctant Empress is abouta girl who is very poor on her
planet and fertility is a big issue, so they're basically starving. She sells
(42:00):
herself to become a surrogate and findsout that she's carrying the embryo, the
child of the Emperor and Empress ofher world. Then they get assassinated and
everybody's coming after her. She likedthe air like they're trying to bounty hunting
her. Yeah, now what's theEmpress? And what's that oning about?
(42:23):
The Empress? At War, whichis after she becomes Interests. Yes,
and it's about her continuing to havesurrogate children and becoming the empress and ruling
and eventually her children will rule, but it's about her securing the empire for
(42:45):
them. She literally becomes the royaltyon the whole thing. That's all cool.
How long have you been writing books? How did you get in all
this stuff? This was made youget diving all this? Well, when
I was eight years old, whichis sixty years ago, my dream was
to be have a book in thelibrary that I wrote, so many many
(43:07):
years later I did that. Socool. You got a lot of books?
You got anything upcoming? You're gettingready to be working on the extra?
Yes, I've got two books that'llbe upcoming in the fall Through World
Castle and one of them it's thethird book in this installment, and the
(43:27):
other one is call It's kind ofPilgrim's Progress meets Dark Shadows. Oh nice?
Was a Barnabas Collins? Yeah,Well the vampires are the bad guys
in it? But yeah, basicallyit's where do people find it? You're
on Amazon or where do they findout they get the books? Well?
I have an Amazon page. Theythey can meet me find it there.
(43:53):
They can go to Champagne Books, the publisher for these two are world Castle
for the others, Champagne Books aworld Castle for the publishing mysteries. Thank

Day two on the convention floor withthe Dreamscapes by Niko. How are you
doing today, Nio? I'm doingreally well. You know, things are
going awesome. You've got a newpiece you're doing here. Talk about your
art. How long have you beendoing this and what goes into all this?
You got some interesting things you're talkingabout the paints too. Oh yeah.
So I've been oil painting for abouteight years or so, and I've
really gotten into like the super oldschool old techniques and things like that.
(44:37):
So a lot of my paints arelike ground ground gymstones like lapis lazili or
malachite or ground glass that I mixinto my paints to just kind of bring
back the like the like Renaissance typeof fine art of also the days past,
yes, yes, the fine artwith like the pinky up fight.
(45:00):
Yeah, you know these paintings behindus. How long does it take to
do some of these, like theseartworks, I mean somewhere a lot longer
than those. What's more, it'sinvolved when we have back here. So
everything everything starts out as a pencilsketch and then I transferred onto a larger
canvas and paint it and from startto finish, looking at maybe like two
(45:21):
hundred hours. Wow. Yeah, yeah, everything's oil. Everything's done by
hand. I'm starting to make myown paints even so, like yeah,
like it's a process and it's justyou know, what I live for.
So how many of these events? You do a lot of these comic cons
and I get all the different onesall over the placer. Yeah so I
used to. I used to dolike forty shows a year or something.
(45:43):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, andthen I wasn't home. So I've scaled
back to you know, and I'mstarting to build back up. Coast Coon.
I do Coast Con every year.Yes, check it out. It's
great, it's super awesome. Yeah. So I do CoastCon every year,
and you know there's a couple showsthat I hit up and just it's it's
(46:06):
more, you know, the familyand stuff is what I do. Now,
So you got all kind of coolart here with Nico Nico, what's
some of your new stuff you gotworking on? You got this piece here?
What is that's talk a little aboutthat. So I got got this
piece. It's actually for a showthat's in Glasgow. I have to have
it finished by April. Yeah,so it's gonna be like exhibition. Yeah,
(46:30):
it's it's called world Con. Yeah, yep. So this show is
going to be in the in theart show at world Con. And it's
just you know, the stars andthey're kind of looking up at the stars
and thinking about the galaxy or somebodylike a Cosmo Saws. Yeah, yeah,
you know, it's just just tootwo lovers enjoying the evening, you
(46:53):
know, being at peace and justa lot of stuff that I vibe with,
you know, very cool. Thisis amazing. I saw that one
on first walk. So like thegalaxies and the nebulas and the space looks
is super cool. Where do peoplego out to find about your work?
Is it like Facebook's links internets?Yeah? Uh yeah. So I have
a website, the dreamscapes dot net, and that's got a link to all
(47:13):
of my socials. It's got Instagram, it's got Facebook, I got a
newsletter that I'm putting out, Igot Patreon. All of that can be
found on my website, the dreamscapesdot net, the dreamscapes dot net.
