Speaker 1 (00:20):
So it's muddy and the graph grew overnight.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
I'm not supposed to be playing the intro video because
we're still waiting on new sponsors. Hey, I hope you
all enjoyed that weather report from our local weather man,
Carl Jones. Have you used an opinions expressing this broadcaster
are not necessarily those of the sev It's g ec
Any Division, Brigade, camps or other subsidiaries, strictly those of

(00:51):
us expressing them. Happy Monday, this is back. Of course,
it's the last Monday of the month, and you y'all
know what that means that it is part in home episode,
we bring on my slightly less attractive, much older, graying

(01:14):
and holically challenged brother Adam Southern from headquarters to talk
about all the great things that are happening at your
national headquarters. Like I just mentioned, though, the good news
is Moose is back. And I know people said, Huza
I did.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Not get kept in the Caribbean.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Yeah, well I was expecting I had money, and I
was telling Moose before the show began. I actually lost
some cash on his vacation. I bet that he was
going to miss some of his ports of call. His embarkation.
Tom's because I have I have faith in him, not

(01:55):
that much faith.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
For those who don't know, I am a notoriously late person.
I am very slow and you can ask Adam. I
have showed up late at everything almost or at least
like right on time. There's no in between.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Yeah. So I was, like I said, I had had
money on it, that he was going to be left behind,
and much to my surprise and elation, I guess that
is the correct term. That Harrison made it back safe
and sound, and that he is He's ready for the

(02:38):
rest of the season because we are getting ready for
National Reunion. Remember if you have not registered for National Reunion,
you still have time. National Reunion will be in Houston, Texas. Harrison,
do you think you can putup their website and look
at their happy countdown? Yes? I can. But yeah, so

(03:01):
I'm looking forward to seeing everybody. Reminder for everyone that
we have or we're doing our two hundredth episode that
Thursday live from the Hotel ballroom or somewhere in the
hotel depending we can get in there or not very
excited about that we have It's been years since we've

(03:21):
done an actual live episode. What is that two weeks
one day. But yeah, y'all see that SCV one thirty
dot com I do believe is the website for the
national Reunion, So get registered if you have not registered.
Also reminder, if you like myself, if you are a

(03:46):
delegate for your camp, make sure you have your credential
form uh signed by your camp commander and camp adjutant
before you get there. I actually called my camp adjutant
earlier today because I'm the only one from my camp
who is going to be representing us. So make sure

(04:07):
that you have that. You're going to need it for voting.
I believe there's only one issue that's to officially be
voted on besides Adam's budget or our budget that Adam
Adam presents, So yeah, definitely, definitely, definitely make sure that
you are your camp is represented and that you have
your delegate form very important. Anything you want to add

(04:31):
on that, Adam.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Now, if you go to SEV one thirty dot com
and they have the credentials form on their website, so you.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
Can download it straight from that website.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
As you said, I have that filled out, signed by
your camp commander or your camp badgetant, and it will
make life a lot easier for.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Everybody, Yes, especially those who volunteer to work the credential table.
Remember we're volunteers, except for Eric.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
You can be me to Eric.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Uh, but yeah, we're we're just volunteers and and and
there's a way, there's the right way to do to
handle and transact the business of our organization. And uh,
making sure you have your credentials form is the first
start to us doing it and doing it correctly. And
bring your idea with you too. Oh, we are checking
id's this year with it. Typically they do so okay,

(05:35):
But when are you heading over for uh for reunion.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
Adam, I'm not sure.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
I think Cayl and I are going to take a
couple of day four of reunion to go do some
sight scene, so probably get in town about Monday.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
We will be in town Wednesday. UHM, gonna try to
make it for the pre GEC meeting we started this
last year. If we're over, you know, so many hours away,
we make a time of it, and we're going to
sant Antone the first couple of days. Drive over Monday

(06:14):
and spend Monday and Tuesday and San Antonio and go
to the Alamo and do the river Walk, and of
course we've got to stop at BUCkies. Of course, I
mean we're not communist or anything.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
I was surprised I did not see a buck in
the cab. It's coming, it's coming. Just give it time.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
It's coming. I mean, I bet within ten years BUCkies
will have its own cruise line.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
I would take that.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
I don't think there's anybody who wouldn't besides maybe Carl Jones.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
I do say, if you are going to take a cruise,
definitely make sure that you're getting what you paid for forehand.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Actually not Carl. Carl's been to a BUCkies. I know
for a fact Carl's been to a Buckets because I've
stopped at a BUCkies with Carls. Jimmy Hill hasn't been
to a BUCkies. Hell, He's just had He's had no
desire to go.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
We need to fix that. All in favor of kidnapping.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Jimmy Hill, using opinions on that one was expressed the
news kidnapped. I am not the one who suggested it.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Welcome back to the show.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
So we have had a I say we, but it
seems like headquarters has had a pretty busy month there, Adam.

Speaker 4 (07:43):
That's been real busy. I had a lot of events
up there, a lot of rentals. Just finished up.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
A big fundraiser there this weekend. We've rent the property out.
You can rent elm springs in the grounds, and we
had an event here at this past Saturday, And I
have some pictures in the slide show we'll get to
a little bit later showing the grand finale of this fundraiser.
It was a good event and brought new people to

(08:13):
the grounds. That's what it's all about for us, really,
just trying to introduce more people to the museum and
let them over there.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Yeah, I will say for those who have not visited
our museum in a while, make the time when it's
open to go and visit. Uh last weekend, you know,
or a weekend before last rather was at Forest Boy
hit Home and the museum was open, And I, like

(08:42):
I said, last week, I remember when the museum was
I remember being at the groundbreaking for the museum. Cut
my hand on a shovel, uh, trying to long story
mcclooney road with me, and you know, he got a
he got a shovel for groundbreaking and I was loading
it into my car and cut my hand. But so

(09:04):
I have blood for this organization, blood for the museum anyway,
we I remember when that happened. I remember when was first opened.
I remember wondering, how in the world are we going
to fill this place up? And it's like every square
inch almost has some type of artifact or something with

(09:25):
a timeline, and it's it's really really good looking. You've
done a great job with it.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
At thank you, and it's been a I have to
thank the museum committee as well. Jimmy Hill and Robert
Jolson have been a big help in that, and of
course to everyone who has donated artifacts or loaned things
too when because without them we would still be in
an empty room. I remember when we opened in October
of twenty twenty. All we had were basically two flags

(09:53):
in a uniform, and without that anything else, the room
was pretty much empty. We had the podium, we were
speaking that and that was it. So we've come a
very long way from where we were, and it's only
going to get better over.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
Time, that is true. I can't wait, because it is
breathtaking as it is now. I finally got to take
a small tour back at the Pilgrimage, and it was
just breathtaking. I guess Connor didn't like that I took

(10:29):
a tour during the pilgrimage, but you know, I hadn't
been able to take a tour the last couple of
times I've been down there because I'm usually doing something
for the organization. So I was finally happy to take
some time and just tour it. Adam has promised me
multiple tours given to me by him, and I have
yet to see any.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
You hadn't casted him in yet. I mean, there's the
ALUs out there. You hadn't casted him in.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
I think he's back, I promise you. I won't mention
that I toured the museum anymore because he just left
as soon as I mentioned that.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Well, I'm having a little bit of internet uh internet
problems tonight. AT and T has been weird all day today.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
For me, so I don't have to explain that AT
and T is AT and T. I'm not much better.
I'm actually probably worse.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Well, I don't have a McDonald's that I can go to.
Uh so, yeah, all right, so let's start looking at
some of the pictures Adam brought in, because I really
want to see what all we have or that we've
gotten from or gotten you know, all the new updates.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
Yeah, oh I didn't submit that one.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
Well that's Forrest Doll's eating a thing of a cinnamon
rolled bread pudding at Pucket, which if they want to
sponsor the show, we will happily take free meals over there,
we will. I don't know about Adam, but yeah, he
was very happy that Moose was on vacation.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
Yeah, he got to eat in peace.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
He didn't have to share his cinnamonal bread pudding. That
was the big thing.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Yeah, yeah, no, he doesn't like sharing with me.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
I eat a lot, all right.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
Well, this came from Beast Commander in Chief Christopher Sullivan.
He donated a couple of boxes of his paperwork, all
of his records when he was Commander in chief of
the Son's Confederate Veterans. And also including the boxes were
reunion medals, which is great because we were missing pretty
much all of our modern medals reunion medals. This gets

(12:54):
us pretty much complete from nineteen eighty six to present.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Now we need a nineteen ninety nine ninety nine. I
don't think I have one.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
Well, if anyone listening has a nineteen ninety nine, they
would like to donate to the museum. Please let us
know and you will complete us from nineteen eighty six
to present, so.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Nearly forty years of medals there.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
And I know that because I was born in eighty five,
almost forty.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Wow, that is awesome that I loved the designs of
the metals.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
Now, it was neat to see the different styles of
medals that we've had over the years. Some of those
have taken their stylings from medals that we had in
the early nineteen hundreds with the UCV, so they've kind
of recreated some over the years, and that was nice
to see.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Yeah, the Vicksburg one from twenty thirteen is a rare
one because the host committee it's last row, second to
the left, we actually ran out, and you know, they
were supposed to have ordered some more and sent them
to people, but I never got mine. So, uh that

(14:17):
one's that one is, I know for a fact, a
very very rare one and one of the more unique
because it uses the Van Dorn flag. Cool.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
My first reunion was twenty sixteen at Franklin. Uh No,
that was at twenty eighteen at Franklin.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
So yeah, as Frank Armstrong on the middle so.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
Yeah, Otterman's I got to include some of my own
of Chris or Commander Sullivan had gaps and he is
I was able to help fill in some of the gaps, and.

Speaker 4 (14:50):
Good to have that collation.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
We have not been very good at saving our own.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
History, our own organizational history is as far as dolls were,
probably a test when he to do a better job
of telling our story. And just nice for us to
be able to add that to our collection, some of
our own history for.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
A change, That is fantastic.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Darryl Maples probably has one. Yeah, he's watching Darryl give
us a medal?

Speaker 1 (15:27):
All right?

Speaker 2 (15:28):
What next? What next?

Speaker 3 (15:30):
This is, a, of course, a federal It came from
a Confederate veteran out of North Carolina, a private Robert Gupton,
that was in the sixteenth North Carolina. He carried this
with him throughout the war, and his great granddaughter recently
donated that to us. She's been a friend of mine

(15:51):
for many years. We used to serve on the board
of the Athenem Rectory in Columbia together, and she's been
talking about the fiddle ever since I've known her, and
the time was finally right for her to bring that
to our museum and we'll be adding it to our
collection pretty soon. You see the photograph there, It shows
the actual Confederate veteran. He's wearing his UCV uniform and

(16:15):
he was actually buried.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
In that uniform.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
And on the photograph is a rattlesnake rattler and that
used to go inside of the fiddle. I don't know
that we'll put it back in. We may keep it
out and just to show it. Pretty neat to have
this and all the family ties and stories that go
with it. And I think we have a picture of

(16:38):
me and missus Gupton together there she is. And she
was a smart lady because she was a teacher at
Kullyoka School and she retired the year before she was
to teach me.

Speaker 4 (16:48):
So, oh, got out of there. All the getting was good.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
You know what the difference between a fiddle and a
violin is, don't you?

Speaker 4 (16:59):
Adam?

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Tell me Connor, one has strings the other has strings.

Speaker 4 (17:07):
Yeah, that's one difference.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
Yeah. Now for your musical enjoyment, entertainment, here's Conway twenty.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Hello darling.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Oh, ye'll leave that to your dad.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
Oh, this was something that was given to me at
the Mississippi Divisionary Union. This was given to me by
past Commander in Chief Larry mcclaudey, who was an educator,
and he's had this book for a long time and
he decided that the timers all right for us to
have this in our collection.

Speaker 4 (17:48):
We've got a.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
Reprint of this book, but we did not have our
first edition. It was printed in eighteen sixty eighteen sixty eight.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Excuse me.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
And the strange thing about is Commander McCleary gave me
this book for our museum, and then the next day
another man came to the division reunion and gave us another.
So now we have two original eighteen sixty eight campaigns
of the Tenant General N. B.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
Forest.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
Yeah, can I tell the story about the second copy?

Speaker 4 (18:21):
We got to tell us a story about it.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
So for those that don't know, my mother is a
widow and there's this guy from up in the Corinth
area who was messaging her on Facebook. And we thought
that he was messaging her for you know, for you know,
trying to trying to strike up a relationship. And of

(18:45):
course I'm not going to name his name, but we
didn't trust him. And he's all of a sudden, you know,
besides just hey, how are you doing? You know, small
talk says, I've got this book and my daughter doesn't
want it. Where can I give it? And we're like,
look at the book and everything like that, and he's like,
it's the first edition of that, and I'm like, okay,
well he can give it to headquarters and that way

(19:07):
we can meet him and make sure he's not like,
you know, some crazy stalking axe murderer. And uh, sure enough,
he comes up to the reunion and gives Adam the
book right after mclooney has given his up. So pretty
what are the odds of getting the same the same
first edition? Well, not the same, but you know, two
first editions in the same weekend. You're not having any

(19:30):
Now we have to right now. I'm not gonna say
the internal joke that that we made about, you know,
Mama Bond, but uh, yeah, she she she she worked
on getting that force.

Speaker 4 (19:44):
Yeah, thank you, Mama Bond.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
Although I'm sure, I'm sure, I'm sure Larry's. I'm sure
Larry's copy was in better shape than his.

Speaker 4 (20:00):
Oh well, both are good examples. And now we have two.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
We can have one open and one closed, and just
that what yeah, miss Tippi Division put on a really
good reunion and we came back with some treasures. And
this next picture is something that Conroe passed on to
me while I was there, And this is a centennial
uniform and it's really in great shape.

Speaker 4 (20:27):
We had a mannequin.

Speaker 3 (20:28):
We have it on the form and I've been trying
to steam it a little bit. And I really love
the patch that's on the arm there far as zippying,
of course has a centennial patch on it there. Can
you tell us more about that, Conroe?

Speaker 2 (20:47):
Yeah, So in twenty fourteen I was initiated to the
Kappa Alpha Order and ka Is has gone. They we
were founded in eighteen sixty five. I believe at least
two original Confederate veterans at Washington League now Washington Lee University.

(21:11):
And when they founded the order, they modeled it after
Robert E. Lee. The genteel nature of Lee, and he's
the example and we call him our spiritual founder. And
then a couple of years later another gentleman named Samuel Zeniaman,
another Confederate veteran who's buried at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery, redid

(21:34):
our rituals and things and built at US modeled us
after Lee, and of course Lee being the cavalier man
that he was, also the Knights Templar of the Middle Ages,
and we always had a strong tie to the Confederacy
well as just like many other institutions, KA has gone
woke and things where you know, thirty or forty years ago,

(21:58):
you know, we had Old salth Week and or Dick
what's now called or was called Dixie Week. But you know,
the guys will dress up in Confederate uniforms and prayed
through campuses. And now that's too offensive.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (22:10):
So we were ordered to get rid of some of
our uh memorabilia, and one of those at Delta State
Clarksdale's in the heart of Missippi, Delta. Uh. One of
that that was one of the uniforms that of course
was used during the centennial, but also it was passed
down from KA to k A and I saved it
from being completely uh destroyed in the trash. So uh uh,

(22:36):
that's that's how we got it. And I've been trying
to downsize my collection of books and autographs and paintings
and things of that nature. So I was like, as
to Adam, do we have one? Adam said, we don't.
I'm like, well, we need one because the Centennial was
a very important part of our history, you know, especially
the section where you know when Confederate was cool. And uh,

(23:00):
I had a whole one, which it's very rare to
find a whole one. I saw where in Brandon, my hometown,
a couple of weeks ago, just a coat was on
sale in auction and you know, raised seventy five dollars.
So I was like, well, this is the whole one,
with the pants and everything like that. So no telling

(23:22):
what it's worth or when we'll find another whole one.
So that's how I ended up with it, and how
Headquarters ends up ended up with it.

Speaker 4 (23:31):
Well, thank you for that. We'll be getting a doubt
pretty soon.

Speaker 3 (23:39):
Oh this came in just this past Saturday. Gentleman from
Tennessee collected medical instruments and you see all the different
bone saws and scalpels and other items of torture. There
several different medical cases. These are all just beautifully cased too,

(23:59):
and all the instruments are in great shape. This one
was made in Knoxville. It seemed like there were a
couple more that were made in Tennessee, which is cool
for me to see, but see what the next one
looks like there, And that one was out a Knoxville

(24:20):
as well. But he used to do medical programs about
medicine and amputations and surgeries during the War between the States,
and he was very meticulous about these artifacts. And it
looks like he would bag them up after every presentation,
which is great because these.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
Still are very surgically sharp.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
You don't want to be careless when handling them, and
no telling what kind of nineteenth century diseases I might
catch off of them if I did come. Like I said,
beautiful cases and looking forward to adding these that are
already displayed medical items we have in the museum.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
We have a very very good medical display we do.

Speaker 3 (25:06):
Tom Wood is responsible for that, and Tom is kind
of like this gentleman from Tennessee. He's done several programs
on that at re enactments and other places, so he
had the knowledge and the equipment already and had a
great display for us, and we're looking to add to it.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
And now I think I saw this one earlier and.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
Yeah, this book.

Speaker 3 (25:35):
Want to brag on one of our STV members, doctor
Samuel Mitcham. He has a new book that comes out tomorrow.
And this is a new addition to the McCain library
at headquarters. And he had already published the Encyclopedia Confederate Generals,
and this is now the Encyclopedia of Union Generals. Good

(25:57):
job on this, doctor Mitcham, And we'll be having this
on our shelf pretty soon for people to read and
research with. Well bragged on my piones a couple of
weeks ago, but I want to tell everybody about my marigolds.

(26:18):
You know, Connor really doesn't know much about flowers, but
he does.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
But yeah, I don't know much about flowers, but I know, uh,
I know that your marrygolds needed some water in last weekend.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
Yeah, they've gotten plenty of water here lately, so they're
looking good.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
In front of the museums.

Speaker 3 (26:38):
I wanted to brag on my landscaping and my flowers
and my wife, the plants, all those so ah looking
good right now. And I know Connor likes them to
hear about the paeonies and the marigolds.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
Yeah, I can't tell the difference between them.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
I can't either.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
What else we have in Moose Oh and inside we
have new arrangements in the dining room and the entryway
and the parlors. Thanks to my beautiful bride, she's been
updating some of our floor arrangements for the seasons inside.
And this is our dining room at historic Elm Springs.

(27:23):
I think it looks very nice on the table and
just outside the dining room window. And I don't know
if we've ever shown this on Chat before, but if
you go to the next picture, I think you'll see
a brick and if you notice in the brick, you'll
see some writing, and that says J. D. Todd and

(27:44):
James Dick Todd was one of the first children to
move into Elm Springs. His mother was the sister that
Elm Springs was built for. And he was also the
first person from the property from the family to pass away.

Speaker 4 (27:59):
And he was twenty one years.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
Old when he died, and he was in New Orleans. Now.

Speaker 3 (28:06):
Some people say that his father went out and carved
his name in the brick as memorial to his son.
That's just what some people have said over the years.
I think that the son probably wrote his name when
he left. He wanted to leave his mark on the house.
I can see me being twenty one years old and
going out.

Speaker 4 (28:25):
And write my name in the brick.

Speaker 3 (28:27):
But whatever the case, his name is there and it's
just outside the dining room window. So next time you're
there at ELM Springs, go and look for it. It's
a good scavenger hunt.

Speaker 2 (28:40):
We need a museum scavenger hunt. We have really yep, yep.

Speaker 3 (28:50):
Jimmy did one, and there's actually prizes if a kid
wants to do the scavenger hunt, they go around and
find the different clues and they went after they turn
it in.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
What if they're just a kid at heart, Well, we'll
let you compete. I'll give you a sticker. Oh I
like stickers. I like stickers.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
I do like stickers. I will I will put it
next to Audrey.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
I'm gonna ask about Audrey. But okay, he's got a
plan and he's never seen a little Shop of Horrors
and everything like that.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
I have never seen it, but that it was just
a coincidence, but I think it was funny. I like it.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
Well, that's all that matters that Moose likes it.

Speaker 3 (29:47):
Coming up on July twenty sixth, we have two events,
the first being the Rebel Rouser Cruise in and that's
from nine am to two pm. This will be the
fourth year we've been doing this. That's cruise It's not
a car show, so you don't have to pay any
kind of entry fees. You just show up if you
want to show your car off. Between nine and two,

(30:08):
I will have some food trucks there, We'll have some
vendors hopefully and for some museum will be open from
nine to two that day as well.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
Can you just cruise in. You can just cruise in
and then you can cruise out if you want to.
And then this is the second event on the twenty six,
starting at seven pm. We'll have two bands playing on
the front of the house, the first being Mercury Red
and the second called Metal. And they will have food trucks,

(30:41):
vendors and fun for all ages there. And this is
a free concert. And I haven't decided the museum.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
Will be open that night or not, but maybe if
we have a big crowd, it'd be good to get
people in there and see the museum. And we'll definitely
have some cigars. Yeah, the cigar truck will be there
on side if you want to show up and have
a cigar with us and see some classic cars and

(31:12):
hear some music.

Speaker 2 (31:13):
So why can't you ever have that fun stuff when
I'm up there? Hey, you can come up all twenty six.
It's either going there on the twenty six or go
to National Union.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
Oh you can just take an extra week off and
take your time going home.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
Yeah, you don't have to go.

Speaker 3 (31:33):
You won't have to go north to the sea to
get back home from the Texas Billion.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
No, no, I want to go the roundabout way home. Yeah. Yeah. Hey,
Cindy if you're watching, or Susie if you're watching.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
Who's ready for a road trip?

Speaker 2 (31:49):
Susie always is, especially after our fun time in Nashville.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
Oh yeah, I heard about the fun times in Nashville.
I miss John. I got like notifications only at certain
times of the day, and so at like at two
in the morning, my phone starts blowing up with Facebook Messenger,
and everybody was telling me how much fun they had
at the Forest Boyhood Home celebration.

Speaker 2 (32:17):
Great time, great time.

Speaker 1 (32:20):
And everybody was asking me if I fell overboard yet.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
Well I was like, I said, I have money going
that you would.

Speaker 1 (32:26):
Have technically you want it. Because I was late twice
I put the boat behind scheduled by an hour, and
then it started off the cruise twenty minutes late. Moose,

Speaker 5 (34:42):
There is a place nestled in the rolling farmland of
southern Middle Tennessee, a home constructed in eighteen thirty seven,
nearly lost to the ravages of war, saved by a
servant and a Confederate general, A place where families loved

(35:10):
and lost. If walls could talk, what stories could be told,
If a place, a home can feel love, lost, pained.
Surely this is one of those places. Nearby is a

(35:33):
more recent structure, and inside are the stories of heroes
and heroines, stories of battles won and lost, stories of
sacrifices made by the people of its native soil. A
place that will tell the true and complete story of
the Southland and the war fought for its freedom, from

(35:59):
the causes that to the conflict to the modern day
struggles to protect Southern history. Historic own springs in the
Confederate Museum at Ome Springs are the general headquarters for
the Sons of Confederate Veterans, a place where the story

(36:22):
of the Southland and its historic struggle is preserved and told.
Come and discover your history.

Speaker 1 (36:37):

And yes, Eric is right, a fundraise sure will be

(37:00):
happening at head at the National Reunion shooting me the
Moose Hunt thing. All the money will go to General
Forrest's last ride.

Speaker 2 (37:13):
Are you going to be in the Moose Outfit again?

Speaker 1 (37:15):
No, No, that was horror for everybody.

Speaker 2 (37:18):
It doesn't fit.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
It doesn't fit. It might fitish act. I've lost thirty pounds,
but I broke it. I ripped it doing it. So
unless Todd Owens has said he has me a new one,
so we'll see.

Speaker 4 (37:33):
And I have got an update. John Blankenship, the commander
of the Tennessee Division.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
He has a nineteen ninety nine medal and he's going
to donate that to the museum.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
So good job, Thank you, John.

Speaker 2 (37:48):
I can't beat that.

Speaker 1 (37:50):
No, no breaking news here on the chat.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
Who has other who has other things they want to
give away?

Speaker 1 (37:59):
Do you.

Speaker 2 (38:01):
Where's James Patterson when you need him?

Speaker 1 (38:04):
Actually, I do want to point out he's on the show. Eric.
You should bring a t Rex suit because someone, a
certain past commander in chief has agreed to wear one.
So let's all shoot Jason with one. That's not fun,

(38:28):
but shooting me is fun.

Speaker 2 (38:29):
Yes, it was pretty fun.

Speaker 1 (38:33):
You enjoyed it way too much, Adam.

Speaker 2 (38:38):
Adam had a blast.

Speaker 1 (38:40):
Adam shot me in the forehead.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
Adam tried shooting you somewhere else.

Speaker 1 (38:46):
And that's only because I moved. Because Adam used it
as a machine gun. Adam just getting boom boom boom Adam.
It was one shot. I had to like hide behind
the stage away from Adam. Adam was vindictive, you know.

Speaker 2 (39:07):
And Kayla surprisingly didn't want to do it.

Speaker 1 (39:11):
That was the shock of the trip that Kayla didn't
want to do it. She wanted to do it after
my oratory speech.

Speaker 4 (39:19):
It's a good thing you did it before the oratory.

Speaker 1 (39:21):
I feel like I would have been in so much
pain if I did it after. Luckily, I hope this
year we do it before as well.

Speaker 2 (39:32):
Oh we will.

Speaker 1 (39:34):
Good, so I won't get shot for what I'm going
to say. Oh you will, Oh I will. Someone will.
Someone will buy shots afterwards just to shoot me. That's fine,
It's okay.

Speaker 2 (39:49):
It's what everybody wants.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
That's what everybody wants.

Speaker 2 (39:55):
It's what sev Chat wants. But what the confederation needs.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
What suv Chat wants. Of the chat wants it, the
other fifty does not. Fifty wanted it to be over.
After the last.

Speaker 2 (40:09):
Year, you you said that you would do it.

Speaker 1 (40:13):
I would do it for my namesake. Yeah, but after
this year and then you kept adding to.

Speaker 2 (40:19):
It, it's fake. It's for the kids. Hey, that is
a great that is a great idea for the cadet program.
You have moose.

Speaker 1 (40:32):
I don't know how I feel about the cadets just
getting to rawl, run around me and shoot me.

Speaker 2 (40:38):
I'm in favor.

Speaker 1 (40:39):
I didn't have that when I was a cadet, so
let's not give them that option.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
We should.

Speaker 1 (40:45):
I'm never going to get out of the moose hunt, Am,
I now you're not. I just wanted to start hiding
before the oratory contest.

Speaker 2 (40:52):
Eh.

Speaker 1 (40:53):
Well, all right, Adam. We have a couple more pictures
here and they are beautiful there breath teching, so I'll
let you take it away, all right.

Speaker 3 (41:04):
Well, like I said, this past Saturday, we had a
rental at On Springs. The grounds were rented by the
Center of Hope, which is a charity here in Columbia,
and they had their annual Whiskey and Whiskey and Cigar event.
I forget what they call it, but it was basically
whiskey tasting. Cigar was there and they also had wines

(41:28):
and other things and it was a very successful event,
had several people there and the finale for the event
was a fireworks play.

Speaker 4 (41:38):
Here are some of the pictures from that.

Speaker 3 (41:40):
And Taylor ran over and got a picture. I wanted
some behind the museum so we could see them, and
she ran over and got those. And while she was
there getting this picture, I was over by General Forrest
trying to get some pictures there, and other people have
given me their pictures as well. So one of our
county commissioners was took that one, and I think Eric

(42:02):
Pravetti took this one, and he's also one of our
count of commissioners. And I think I took this one
and this one and that one really makes it look
like General Fares in battle.

Speaker 2 (42:13):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (42:14):
Yeah, Oh that's beautiful.

Speaker 2 (42:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (42:17):
So just the event turned out great and we had
a really some good pictures to share on our social
media and hope everybody enjoyed seeing those.

Speaker 1 (42:31):
It looked like a very fun and successful event.

Speaker 2 (42:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (42:35):
It makes me want to shoot off more fireworks out there.

Speaker 2 (42:38):
I actually have a firework. Firework contact was really the plot.
Dickens I've got. I've got two great friends that sell fireworks.
In fact, I got to go and see one of
them tomorrow trying to get some trying to get some
stuff for the fourth.

Speaker 3 (42:59):
We just have a re enactment. You'd roaming candles at
each other. I think that would be fun.

Speaker 2 (43:04):
You know, I've been there, done that. Have a couple
of star scars, uh from use.

Speaker 1 (43:11):
More scars though, Yeah, yeah, I've got them too. I'm
covered in scars I've had. I had a fun childhood.

Speaker 2 (43:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (43:22):
Hey, if you get one across the face, it adds
to your character. I've been told.

Speaker 2 (43:28):
That they just bounce off.

Speaker 1 (43:31):
Yeah, they don't hurt.

Speaker 2 (43:35):
Todd Owens's room bottle writings are better. Now, that's how
you lose an eye, Todd, and we don't want to know. Yeah,
nine or nine leaves the whole moose blond.

Speaker 1 (43:44):
Yes, scars build character. I was told that the one
I have right here built built the character y'all see today.

Speaker 2 (43:52):
Hmmm, that agains.

Speaker 1 (43:57):
That's profacial hair to cover it up. So you know what,
whatever you say, that is something? Uh.

Speaker 4 (44:08):
You all ready for National Reunion?

Speaker 2 (44:10):
I am. I'm I'm looking forward to it. I'm looking
forward to seeing, you know, everybody, very very interested in
the different uh reports from the different committees and things
of that nature. I'm excited that I actually get to well,

(44:36):
I don't know if I'll be in the meeting room
for most of it or not, if I'll have to.
I know that's up to the army commanders about work
in the different uh, like the different tables and stuff
like that. So I do I do enjoy there. Well,
I say bureaucracy, but the little bit of bureaucracy that

(44:57):
comes with national reunion.

Speaker 3 (44:59):
M yeah, this is a everybody should go to one
of at least one reunion. I think everybody should go
to all of them. Uh, it's a great time. It's
reunion for us to get together with our friends and
our SCV family. And uh yeah, Eric, we covered that earlier.

(45:20):
Bring your credentials forms and make sure they're signed off
by commander and your adjutant and have your ID ready
and uh that's one.

Speaker 4 (45:29):
Of the main things is to make things smooth. Uh,
if you need anything out of HQ.

Speaker 3 (45:34):
Right now, we're trying to get ready for reunion, so
we're kind of we're zero D in trying to get
ready for that. Eric and his crew were getting ready
with awards. They're wrapping that up, all the awards that
were submitted for a commendation, distinguish hundreds hundreds.

Speaker 2 (45:52):
Of those, so they've been busy doing that.

Speaker 3 (45:56):
So it's a lot of work that goes in behind
the scenes reunion. It's a very busy time for us.
I have a budget committee tomorrow night. Budget committee meeting
tomorrow night to go over the first round of our
budget and then it will go to the pre reunion
gy C meeting which is on Wednesday, and then Thursday

(46:16):
it will be presented to the full floor.

Speaker 2 (46:19):
Right, So which is which is always fun? Oh yeah,
I mean it's good.

Speaker 3 (46:25):
Everybody needs to needs to know where their news money goes.
I mean, this is everybody's organization. They need to know
where thing go.

Speaker 2 (46:34):
Oh, I agree, I mean yeah, it's it's kind of like,
you know, the old thing about voting. You know, if
you don't show up and you don't care, then don't
complain when it is, uh, when something happens that you
don't like.

Speaker 1 (46:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (46:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (46:51):
And the big thing about our budget this year is
we have put in the budget to have staffing on Saturday,
so the museum will be open open every Saturday if
the budget passes.

Speaker 2 (47:04):
Well, see that's always That's what all was kind of
one of the things I was hoping for, you know,
because that's one of the big things that everybody talks
about is you know, I try to go to the
museum and it's always closed on Saturdays and it's hard
for me to be able to do that and everything
that goes along with it.

Speaker 3 (47:22):
So so, uh, there were there were three things that
Commander can be Be wanted to put in this year's budget.
One was to make sure we were open on Saturdays,
and one was to increase in the advertising budget.

Speaker 4 (47:35):
And h I forget which.

Speaker 2 (47:37):
Their fun was, but uh, it's there. It's in there.

Speaker 4 (47:41):
I put it all in there. But uh, where we're
ready to go? We are.

Speaker 3 (47:46):
Of course, we don't have the museum debt anymore, so
we don't have to pay that mortgage payment every.

Speaker 2 (47:51):
Month, so we'll do it. The increase budget you have
the bank.

Speaker 3 (47:55):
No, we still have to pay ourselves back with that
money is in the budget already.

Speaker 4 (48:00):
Uh, so we can.

Speaker 3 (48:02):
We do have a decreased budget this year, which is
changed because it usually goes up every year.

Speaker 4 (48:08):
Right, even with all the the.

Speaker 3 (48:12):
Things that we've added to it this year, it's still
a decreased budget.

Speaker 2 (48:16):
So that's that's that is a major positive as it is,
and hopefully it will be a and now I'm sure
it is. This group in Houston has done a great
job in preparing for this reunion.

Speaker 4 (48:31):
I know it will be a good time with.

Speaker 3 (48:34):
Everybody there, and I'm looking forward to going and seeing Houston.
My parents lived there before I was born, so I'd
like to see where they lived for a short while
before coming back to Koloka.

Speaker 2 (48:50):
And then having you, then having a Boston Terrier that
gets ice cream.

Speaker 4 (48:53):
Yeah, I mean, I mean, things just keep getting worse
for me.

Speaker 3 (48:56):
I mean, go to Sonic and see my other taking
her dog out for ice cream.

Speaker 4 (49:02):
And think about it all the time.

Speaker 2 (49:04):
She did not take me out for ice cream when
I was little. And then Kayla's Then Kayla's leaving you
to your own devices for a couple of days while
she goes on a on a trip, and that's scary.
Hopefully you'll have the Kolyoka band out playing when the
first lady returns.

Speaker 1 (49:23):
Yes, he has to. He's got your money.

Speaker 3 (49:27):
We'll get those strings out there because we don't have
we don't have any violins.

Speaker 2 (49:31):
Here in uh wait, it's not a brass band. Well,
we don't have any brass instruments here in Koloka. It's
scared the mules. That's that's great, cause the melons to
go sour, that's right. I have to go out and

(49:52):
play for the fields at night. Lord, it's getting thick.
I did, uh I did? Uh fine. I was doing
some genealogy work on my significant other and we had

(50:12):
when we were up in uh Columbia, uh for Forrest
Boyhood uh or in that area. We uh went to
uh mcgavick cemetery. Adam, did you know there are two
mcgalvick cemeteries in Franklin.

Speaker 3 (50:34):
Was there the mcgavid Confederate Cemetery of the mcgavick family
Cemetery there.

Speaker 2 (50:39):
There there's two different mcgavick families. There's uh yeah, there's
so fun fact if you just type in your GPS
uh mcgavick family cemetery, because you're thinking they're like right
beside each other, they're not. One is in a residential
neighborhood hm hm. And if you go there a bunch

(51:02):
of pretty houses. I'll give him that, but yeah, it will,
it will confuse the fire out of you. But her
ancestor was actually was actually killed at Franklin and is
buried at the mcgavock Cemetery Confederate Cemetery and an unknown grave.
So we did not know that before we got there

(51:25):
or else we would have, you know, made better plans
for but still, you know, really cool to to find
that for her. Was he in the Mississippi or troops
or Tennessee Troops. He was a Mississippi, a third sergeant
in Company D of the thirtieth Mississippi. There were three

(51:45):
brothers that particular unit served completely in the Army of Tennessee.
So you know, in eighteen sixty three there were two
armies in the western theater. There's the Army in Mississippi
that was at Vicksburg, and there was the Army of Tennessee.
And Mississippians were in both armies. And this one was
part of I believe Walfall's brigade to pulling this for memory.

(52:09):
And they fought at Chickamauga Lookout Mountain or it was
a Lookout Mountain, which are Chattanooga. Yeah, and they did
all of that, They did all the things anyway. They
the one brother ended up being captured at I think

(52:32):
Missionary Ridge. I haven't gone on fold three to fully
check yet another one of her actual great grandfather He
enlisted in sixty two and his youngest son, named Jefferson

(52:53):
Davis after the president, was born a month after he
left home. Just shows the dedication of our ancestors. Uh. Anyway,
during the assault, I think it was probably I think
it was the night assault portion of Franklin. He was
killed and he is he does not have from everything

(53:16):
I can find on find a great a actual marker.
So he's in the unknown section.

Speaker 3 (53:23):
Yeah, it's still pretty cool. You can take her there
and show her that.

Speaker 2 (53:28):
Yeah, so we actually, you know, we had we we
we stopped there and I was explaining how this is
the saddest portion of the cemetery because they're unknown, and
she's like, oh, that is sad, and then you know,
find out, you know, that was one of you know,
her third great grandfather is one of those unknown. But

(53:49):
it also gave her a she said, it gave her
a little bit of a deeper appreciation for what we
fight for.

Speaker 4 (53:55):
So well, good.

Speaker 3 (54:00):
Dus, remember our dus. You have until July thirty first
pay your dues, because in August one you become delinquent.
So are your dues your ends. July thirty first of
sending your sev dews to your camp and camp adjutants.
Get those into headquarters as soon as you can. Now,

(54:22):
there's usually a one month grace period in August, but
in September you're too late, you'll have a five dollars
penalty that says to your DWS. So I'm glad to
see that reminder in here. And remember July thirty first
ends our year. That's on the end of our budget year.

(54:42):
So August one, you've become Delinkedu, you have a That
month is kind of a grace period, but that's really
a grace for us because we're supposed to be processing
all of your dws during that month. So if they
need to be at headquarters by July thirty first.

Speaker 2 (55:00):
Yeah, and Camp Edge Camp Camp adjutants can still pay online, right, yes,
so there's you know, go ahead and be take.

Speaker 3 (55:08):
Advantage of salesforce and use all those That makes it
a whole lot easier. And if you have not done
any adjectent trainings, and I know we're not doing any
right now because of reunion and DUS period, but if
you're a new adjutant, get with Eric Pravetti and sign
up for the adjutant training that will really help you.

Speaker 2 (55:30):
Are we're still selling the flash drives up at headquarters.

Speaker 3 (55:34):
There are you can get with the sales office and
they will sell you a flash drive with that training
on it.

Speaker 2 (55:40):
So even though we're not doing we're not doing them
live right now, you can still partake in UH in
the in the training electronically. Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (55:54):
If you really don't want to worry about the US,
you can always become a life member too.

Speaker 4 (55:57):
So sign up for your life membership.

Speaker 2 (55:59):
And remember we also have the conditional life membership where
you're trying to break it up in a payment plan
because some people myself did that, uh you know, and
I'm in the more or I think it's the most
expensive of the tax or my tax bracket, I wish
the most expensive of the dues brackets. So you know

(56:21):
what I did is I broke it up over I
think I did five payments or four or five payments,
and you know, then your life member, but you still
have to pay your normal dues on top of that.

Speaker 3 (56:34):
So yeah, absolutely right, that's an easy way to get
that done. Just break it up into the installments and
kind of a life member.

Speaker 1 (56:48):
That's how That's how I did it. It took a while, yeah, but.

Speaker 2 (56:55):
I know the UH Samuel H. Poe camp is a
etremely grateful that you know, they have a new adjudant.

Speaker 1 (57:04):
Oh gosh, the camp commander of the Samuel H. Poe
Camp is extremely grateful that they have a new adjudant.
We're just gonna throw him under the bus and keep
on we're running.

Speaker 2 (57:16):
I mean, it takes a special man to decide to
be adjudant division commander at the same time.

Speaker 1 (57:23):
Yeah, it would. Actually, that man is not our camp agudant.

Speaker 2 (57:30):
Oh, who's your camp adgidant.

Speaker 1 (57:34):
Another one of my family members.

Speaker 2 (57:36):
Did Greg take it back over again?

Speaker 1 (57:38):
No? No, he he offered, but he offered it like
I was shooting him. No, Larrydale did. Okay, yeah, he
is our one of our first recruits from the camp
when we reach ardered. Actually, so he wasn't a charter member,

(58:02):
but he was the first member that wasn't a charter member,
if that makes sense. Yeah, he joined later in that year.
So he's been a member since ninety three. He's been
adjudant before.

Speaker 2 (58:15):
Oh, well, then he knows what he's doing.

Speaker 1 (58:16):
Oh yeah, No, he already wants to sign up for
the training at headquarters. He wants to learn all about
the new stuff that has happened since the last time
he'd been adjudant. So, I mean he's doing a great job,
doing a better job than the previous adjudant of the camp.

Speaker 2 (58:37):
Yeah, it takes a special sort, especially a global sort.

Speaker 1 (58:41):
It was a very gullible man. That was his predecessor.
He was told by someone who thought was his friend
that it was a great learning position. Did you learn
me that hard?

Speaker 2 (58:56):
Did you learn something?

Speaker 1 (58:57):
I learned? I learned a lot. It was a long
six years.

Speaker 2 (59:05):
Do you learn not to listen to that person anymore?

Speaker 1 (59:08):
I wish I could say yes, But then I started
a show with that person a man five years.

Speaker 2 (59:14):
It's been a fun five years.

Speaker 1 (59:19):
At least I'm not serving my term out as adjudant anymore,
because Greg voted me in and then made a motion
that we should let me be adjudant for twenty years.
And Connor asked me, who second did that motion?

Speaker 4 (59:33):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (59:33):
I know who second did it?

Speaker 1 (59:35):
My own father had to say. He was laughing.

Speaker 2 (59:40):
He had faith in you.

Speaker 1 (59:43):
He was laughing. He thought it was hilarious.

Speaker 2 (59:50):
Hey, Adam, Hey, did do we have anything about Custer
in the museum besides the fact that he is are
a turd?

Speaker 4 (01:00:03):
I don't think we do.

Speaker 2 (01:00:05):
Okay, just with the next year being the one fiftieth
of him losing his scalp with a little big horn.
Let me try to see if I can find something.

Speaker 1 (01:00:16):
You should.

Speaker 2 (01:00:20):
You should found me some golden locks put in there. Huh, yeah,
no kidding. There's a show back in the day that
you and I have talked about it, but it was
called Are You Being Served? And it takes place in
a British apartment store in the seventies and eighties, and

(01:00:41):
it's you know, it's a sitcom and it's it's absolutely
hilarious if you like English comedies. And they it's a
men's and women's department store. And in that department store
that young mister Grace, the owner decides that it would
be great for everybody to go and serve and other
departments and figure out, you know, what they do. And

(01:01:04):
the ladies and gentlemen's department end up going to the
children's department, and the salesmen are selling a young fella
on a Native American outfit. And one of the big
things that Brunning jokes was it'll write up with wear.

(01:01:26):
But anyway, they ask the dad if he was gonna
if the young man needed scalps, and he said sure,
and he said, well, I have the perfect set of
scalps here. It's from our Magnificent seven range. And one
of them didn't have a strand of hair on it,
and he said, well, that one's bald, and he said, oh, yes,
that's Jule Brinner. Love that show.

Speaker 1 (01:01:55):
I'm just happy I finally watched North and South.

Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
Yeah, this, this one's probably mighty. Python was over your head, Harrison,
There's gonna be a lot of this that's over your head.
It's always over my head. Connor, I'm more of a
last of the summer wine guy myself. M M all right.

(01:02:19):
Well we have, uh, only a couple more weeks left
to National Reunion, so y'all get ready for that. You know,
it's it's gonna be a good one. I'm mainly, you know,
besides the Alamo and seeing everybody, I'm really looking forward
to the food. Yes, you know, Texas barbecue and real

(01:02:40):
text Max and stuff like that. That's gonna be. Uh,
I'm looking forward to that. You go, are you taking
the staff anywhere special?

Speaker 4 (01:02:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:02:48):
We usually do something.

Speaker 4 (01:02:51):
Uh, we'll probably go out and have dinner at least
one night.

Speaker 2 (01:02:57):
I don't know. I haven't really looked to see what's there.
There's a really good interesting pizza place we found or
I found that we're we were looking at, as well
as a obviously barbecue as well.

Speaker 1 (01:03:15):
Uh, just real quick, I did pull up a creditiest
form for everybody. You can fill it out in pen
or or online now after you downloaded. Of course it
depends on your computer. But just an example for everybody,
please have this filled out for them. It would make
life so much easier on our people. Have your camp

(01:03:38):
commander signed it and your camp added it, and let's
get it done.

Speaker 2 (01:03:44):
Yeah, it takes it takes only a couple of minutes
to do it, especially you know if your camp is
gonna meet between now and then, like I won't be
able because I have to work for my camp's next meeting.
So I've already talked to my camps at and he
is going to have it over to me for you know,

(01:04:05):
within the next couple of days. So it's it's extremely important.
And if I had, if we had a dollar for
every time somebody's like, wait, I have to have this
form in order to vote. Yes, you have to have
the form in order to vote. But I'm not the
camp commander, I'm not the camp adjudant. And they didn't

(01:04:26):
sign it for us. Call them and get them to
email it to you. But bring it ahead of time
and you won't have to call them and you know,
figure out emails and everything like that.

Speaker 1 (01:04:39):
Yes, like, I'm going to bring this one to my
camp meeting in July and get my camp adjudant to
sign it before we leave.

Speaker 2 (01:04:53):
I mean you could sign it.

Speaker 1 (01:04:56):
I thought you needed both. Sovering my basis, it's still
an either or right at.

Speaker 4 (01:05:03):
Him, I believe it's either or.

Speaker 2 (01:05:05):
Yes, It's just it's just better to go ahead and
having boats on it. Both do it. Yeah, always see why. Yep,
what did we learn from the show tonight? I always
expect the unexpected sponsor SCV chat so you two can

(01:05:27):
do the bull dance. It rained yesterday, so the grass
grew and it's muddy. And always always always see why. Uh,
I've missed this, We missed, we missed you. I'm sorry

(01:05:50):
I could not host look around this past Thursday.

Speaker 1 (01:05:53):
Oh I didn't even know that.

Speaker 2 (01:05:55):
Yeah, I put it was it was a last second.
We had a tree that we had to take down.

Speaker 1 (01:06:03):
M M.

Speaker 2 (01:06:04):
And if anybody in the Jackson, Mississippi area needs firewood,
let your boy know, because God knows, I've got plenty
of it. Good good oak, good oak wood, good good strong. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:06:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:06:17):
It was struck by lightning a couple of years ago
and you know, writted out, and we had already dropped
a couple of widow makers and anyway, the uh tree
you know, had had to come down and had to
be home for it. So it was one of those
not that I wanted to skip, but you know, it's

(01:06:39):
one of those I had to. I had two moments, so.

Speaker 1 (01:06:46):
Be like that.

Speaker 2 (01:06:47):
It really be it do sometimes you know, life comes
at your past.

Speaker 1 (01:06:52):
That it does. But we will be having h Actually
I do need to check if we're having What month
is it.

Speaker 2 (01:07:00):
It's July, yeah, so.

Speaker 1 (01:07:04):
We might have comders comments. We might have look around.
I have been out of touch with everything for about
a week, so I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
But you didn't get left on the cruise ship.

Speaker 1 (01:07:17):
Surprisingly Again, there was two attempts to leave me. Both
of them just failed.

Speaker 2 (01:07:22):
We wouldn't have let let that happen.

Speaker 3 (01:07:25):
We do.

Speaker 1 (01:07:27):
I'm left in the Caribbean. The shame.

Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
We would have started a gofund me bring Moose home.

Speaker 1 (01:07:35):
Yeah, because moose Moose did not have enough money to
get another ticket on this thing. Let me tell you
they were happy to be taking me. How much money
they charged me? Oh my gosh, I don't know if
I will financially recover from this this off because I
am just immediately broke college student.

Speaker 2 (01:08:00):
You're more than that.

Speaker 1 (01:08:02):
What am I? What am I? Now? I? What about
upgrade to your moose? I am the moose.

Speaker 2 (01:08:09):
You're the artist formerly known as Moose. All right, that's
enough of the silliness. Good night, everybody night. Red A.
