And Jessica Jess Cash Parker games. True elevation starts with ourselves.
Speaker 1 (00:13):

we can truly change our lives.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Your only limit is you.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
Hey, hey, hey, welcome back to another episode of Self Elevated,

then bank accounts. I'm your host, Miss Jess, and we're
still deep in our hustle and business elevation series, so
you already know what time it is. Go, grab your
iced coffee, your journal or maybe even your blunt whatever,
(00:45):
get you centered, and let's tap in now.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Listen.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
I know I missed last week's episode. Okay, life got life.
I fell behind, and I really just had to take
a pause for a minute, all right, But that pause
really reminded me of something that our brands, they're not
about perfection, Okay, It's about our presence. It's about alignment,
(01:12):
all right, and it's about being able to fall off,
bounce back and still feel like you all right. And that,
my love, is the energy we're bringing in today's episode,
which is branding basics for new CEOs and side hustlers.
So what is a personal brand and why does it
(01:33):
actually matter? Okay, let's get into it. Because your brand
is not your logo, all right. Your brand is the
energy that you carry, Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
It's the vibe people.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
Feel when they scroll on your feed, when they hear
your voice, or you know, when they click on one
of your links. So you don't need to be a
niche robot, okay, you just need to be clear and
can assistent in your clarity. Like you can be multifaceted,
but you still need a foundation, all right. And your
(02:08):
brand can have layers, but the message behind it should
be clear, okay. Because being multi dimensional doesn't mean being
messy or out of control or all over the place
all right. It means being magnetic in more than one
lane and owning that. So if you've ever felt like
(02:29):
your brand is quote unquote too much or all over
the place, nah, you just need to anchor it in you,
all right. So what are some branding basics for new
CEOs and.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
You know, side hustlers.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Right now, I hope you've already grabbed your journal, and
if you didn't, just hit download so you can have
this episode for later, okay, cause you're gonna want to
write these down. The first thing on this list is
that you need to choose two.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
To three core brand words. All right.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
These words are gonna help shape your tone, captions, your offers,
and your content overall.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
Okay, So think bold.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Empowering, raw, or maybe it's soft, spiritual and luxurious. All right,
whatever it is, stick to them like homebase, okay. Number
two lock in your brand voice all right. So are
you real and raw? Are you sweet but savage?
Speaker 2 (03:39):
All right? Maybe you're calm and you're spiritual. All right.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Your voice is the glue. But you don't want to
post one way and then you're speaking in another.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
All right.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
You gotta make it make sense, okay. Number three is
to define your core mission all right. So you need
a one liner say what you do and who you
help is the easiest way to do it, okay. So
some examples are I help everyday women elevate their lives
(04:14):
with business and belief, or I create.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
Content for multi dimensional creators who do it all all right.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Number four is create visual consistency. Okay, so pick a vibe,
even if it's simple. So like one or two fonts,
two to three colors, one aesthetic, and you don't need
to look like a corporate brand, Okay, but you do
need to look like you, all right, and where that
(04:49):
look is recognizable as you know your thing okay, and
number five be real, period, point blank a right. The
the more authentic that you are, the more your brand
feels magnetic. So you need to let people see the
struggle and the strategy. Okay, let them feel and see
(05:13):
your growth. Okay, let them see where you made mistakes
and you learn from them.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
So what are some branding mistakes that you should avoid? Okay,
We've got about five of them here, all right, so
make sure you're paying attention to these because you're gonna
want to avoid these mistakes.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
The first one is changing your.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Whole vibe entirely like every week or every every month,
you know, or not showing your face or having your
voice and your content like at all.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
I know.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
Faceless content is like a big thing right now, which
you know, that's fine if you don't want to show
your face, but you should at least still have your.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Voice and your energy all over whatever your brand is. Okay.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
Another branding mistake is having no clear description in your
bio okay, or posting stuff that doesn't.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
Align with your message.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
And the last mistake here is, you know, basically just
stealing from other people literally copy pasting other people's brands,
tones or messages or photos or memes, et cetera, et cetera,
because it worked for them, and you've seen that that
(06:43):
went viral for them.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Okay, but your.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
Brand is you completely leveled up, all right, So don't
water it down trying to fit into someone else's mold.
That's the last thing that you want to do, okay,
because you're mold is unique and you need to celebrate that.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
And embrace that, all right. But let me be real. Okay.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
I've launched stuff before with no clear brand direction, just vibes,
and guess what the offer was fired, but it just
didn't convert. And not because it wasn't good, okay, but
it was the brand energy. It didn't match, all right.
People couldn't connect to it. And that was my wake
(07:29):
up call that energy, visuals, tone, all of that matters,
all right. And when people feel you, they trust you,
and when they trust you, they pay you.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
So now we're gonna move in to our journal prompt section.
All Right, I'm gonna give you three questions that you're
gonna marinate on this week in your journals, in your mind.
However you go about doing your journals and just sitting
with yourself when it's time to, you know, do yourself
(08:03):
elevation tactics.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
Okay, So.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Journal prompt number one, what are three words I want.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
People to associate with my brand? Okay?
Speaker 1 (08:18):
Question two is what type of energy do I bring
to my content and to my offers? And three what's
the message that I want people to remember after they've
engaged with me or my content? All right, so as
(08:39):
always answer those with truth, no judgment, no shame, no
you know, just be real in answering the questions and
what comes. Don't overthink it either, Like what when you
ask yourself the question, whatever comes to your mind first,
that's what really you should be writing down, okay, before
your brain starts to over analyze what your answer is,
(09:03):
because we all do that anyway. Moving on, So the
affirmations for this week are gonna be important here, Okay,
these affirmations. You're gonna want to pin these somewhere and
maybe say these every day all day, throughout the rest
(09:24):
of the year and until you feel like you have
gotten your business to where you want it to be okay,
because these are powerful, all right, and if you've got
to pin write them down.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
If not, just hit download.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Okay, you could save this episode entirely free and play
it back later, write it down later, or just listen
again and et cetera. Right, anyway, the first affirmation is,
and remember repeat after me, I am the blueprint from
(10:00):
my brand. My authenticity is my marketing strategy. I show
up on purpose and with power. I don't have to
(10:23):
choose one lane. I just have to show up with clarity.
My brand is a reflection of my elevation, and so
it is.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
All right.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
A little side note, as I've said before, always make
sure that when you're saying your affirmations you say them
three times three times, okay, So that means like morning, noon,
and night, and each time you say it three times,
three times each time, three times each time, three times
(11:02):
each time, okay, because repetition is key, and that's how
we embed it into our brain and slowly start to
truly change the way we operate and think without even
having to be intentional about it. Okay, So listen. If
this episode sparks something for you, then good, all right,
(11:23):
that means your brand is ready to rise with you,
and you don't have to shrink. You don't have to
niche to death or choose just one label. Okay, you
just have to show up as the most.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Aligned version of you.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
Now tag me at misj just Official or at JMP
Empires and let me know what brand, word or vibe
that you're claiming this season.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
And if you're building your first hustle ever and want support,
then just hit me up at I Radio at JMP
empires dot com to grab the hustle Book blueprint or
maybe I just might shout out your business on my podcast.
So hit me up and let's talk about it all
right now. Next week we're talking digital products that actually sell, okay,
(12:14):
because ebooks, templates, guides and more. When you've got the
knowledge and the story is sitting up in your head
that could possibly be income.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
If you package it right. You don't want to miss
this episode. Okay.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
If that's you, you're gonna want to tune in all
right now until next time, be bold, be branded, and
be self elevated, because your only limit is you
