Speaker 1 (00:01):
Well podcast. Your hosts Jeff Jeff Cash Parker game starts
with ourselves and by money versions, we can change our lives.
Your only limit is you. Hey, y'all, Hey, welcome back
(00:24):
to another episode of Self Elevated, the podcast where we
elevate our mind, body, spirit, business, and then bank accounts.
I'm your host, Miss Jess, and today's episode is all
about the top money mindset rules that changed my life.
All right, I'm gonna keep it real with you here.
(00:45):
These aren't just cute quotes or social media captions, all right.
They are the actual mindset shifts that took me from
struggling and feeling like money was always slipping through my
little fingers, to building businesses, creating income streams, and finally
feeling like I had control instead of being controlled. Okay,
(01:10):
so grab your notebook because this one is packed with gems.
All right. You ready, You got your pen in your paper,
you got your no app open. Let's do this Rule
Number one. Money is energy, okay, not just paper, all right.
(01:31):
Make sure you write that down. Money is energy, not
just paper, all right. Most people only see money as
dollar bills or numbers in the bank, but money really
and truly is energy. Okay. And the way you feel
about money is the way it responds to you. So
(01:52):
if you resent it, stress over it, or act like
it's scarce or doesn't mean anything to you, you're actually
blocking it, okay. And when I started treating money like energy,
respecting it, appreciating even the smallest amounts, okay, the more
(02:15):
it started showing up, all right. So instead of complaining
about paying bills, I started saying, thank you, you know
that I had the money to cover them, thank you
that I'm able to pay these bills. That gratitude literally
shifted my vibe and kept money flowing, all right. Rule
(02:37):
number two, Scarcity thinking keeps you broke. Okay. If you
think scarcely, you might be living scarcely too. Okay, So
scarcity thinking keeps you broke because you know, growing up,
(03:00):
many of us heard money doesn't grow on trees or
we can't afford that. You know, that language literally wires
you into a scarcity mindset loop. Right. And when I
caught myself saying I can't afford it, I've replaced it
with how can I make this happen? Or is this
(03:23):
important enough for me to find a way to make
this happen, okay, you know, and that small shift is
what keeps your brain in a problem solving mode instead
of shutdown mode. Right, So instead of saying I couldn't
afford to invest in my business, I asked myself what
(03:47):
skills that I could monetize that week to create the
money that I needed? Right, And that's how I launched
my first side hustle. Because you know what scarcity he
shuts doors, all right? An abundance thinking asks what doors
haven't I knocked on yet? Okay, so keep that in
(04:10):
your mind. Rule number three invest in yourself first, all right,
because the best ROI that you're ever gonna get isn't crypto,
It isn't stocks, it isn't real estate. No, it's you,
all right. I used to hesitate on buying a course
(04:33):
or a book or even healthier food, right because I
thought I couldn't quote unquote waste the money, all right,
But every single time I invested in myself, it paid back. Okay,
So make sure you're investing in yourself and not allowing
(04:53):
excuses like, uh, it's too much money, say, for example,
the health your bread at the store because it's an
extra dollar and forty two cents. Okay. It's it's really
about where you're gonna place the value, all right. And
the course that I might have bought into, because I've
(05:15):
bought a lot of courses, I ain't even go hold you,
all right. I've bought a lot of courses, all right,
and I bought a lot of books. I've bought a
lot a lot of all right. But the courses that
I've bought, you know, they gave me knowledge that I
used to make money, right, and the books changed how
I thought, you know. The healthy food gave me more
energy to actually work on my hustle and have time
(05:41):
and energy for my family, you know. So it was
a win win. And when you invest in yourself, you
expand your earning potentials. Okay. That's how you go from
surviving to thriving. And we all know we all here
trying to be thriving. Okay. Okay, So rule number four.
(06:02):
Money loves clarity. Who don't love some good old clarity? Okay?
Because money sure does. And if you don't know where
your money is going, money won't know where to go either,
all right. So think of it like this, right, For years,
(06:23):
I avoided looking at my account because I was scared
of what I'd see, right, because you know, I knew
that it wasn't gonna build un in there, right, So
I was like, I ain't even gonna look right, But
ignoring it kept me broke, all right. And when I
finally sat down and tracked every dollar and gave every
dollar a quote unquote job, all right, my stress started disappearing, okay,
(06:47):
because clarity builds confidence not only in you, but in
your money also, all right. And you don't have to
micromanage every penny, all right, but you do need to
have some sort of a plan, Okay. Don't just be
all willing nilly out there with your money, all right.
(07:07):
Think of your money like employees, all right. If they
don't have clear roles, they'll wander around and just get wasted, okay,
and waste a bunch of time. But when you give
money direction, it works for you, okay. Or put in
another way, like I once heard from one of my
(07:32):
millionaire mentors, is think of your money like your young
adult children, right, like on the precipice of moving out
of the house, right, you want them to go off
into the world and be successful and create families of
(07:53):
their own and come back and you know, have their
families and be in their great stories of life of
how successful they've been. You want them to go out
into the world and prosper, right as young adults, go
and become successful in your careers and create loving, happy homes. Right.
(08:13):
And you know that is essentially like sending your money
out because you want to send it out. Go out
into the world, make family, make babies, create more little moneies,
and come back and you know be like, oh, look
at how grand life has been. You know, we went
and accomplished all of this. Right, So think of it
(08:36):
like that, all right, rule number five last, but definitely
not least. Okay, generosity creates flow right now. I know
it sounds backwards, but give me a second, because giving
creates more receiving. All right. Every time time I gave,
(09:00):
whether it was tipping extra, buying someone a lunch, or
donating to a cause, it always came back in some
form a right, And generosity is like signaling to the
universe that you trust money will return to you. Okay,
that trust opens the faucet. It's like every time I
(09:21):
pay a bill, and you know I don't like having
to pay bills. Who likes to have to pay bills.
But when I do, I'm thankful that I'm able to
pay the bill. And I always say, you know that
I trust that this money that I'm sending out is
going to come back to me at least threefold, right,
And I trust that, and I receive that, and I
(09:42):
gave gratitude and thanks for that. Right, But don't get
it twisted. Okay, I'm not saying give recklessly, all right,
but even giving five dollars with a good heart keeps
you out of hoarding energy and keeps abundance circling. All right,
(10:02):
Now we're gonna get into some journal prompts. Okay, as
you know, we do three all right, write these down
and sit with them later, all right. One, what was
one money believe I inherited from childhood that I am
ready to let go of? Prompt Two? Where am I
(10:27):
currently acting out of scarcity instead of abundance? And three?
What's one action I can take this week to respect
track or invest in my money better? All right? Now,
(10:50):
as always, answer those, honestly, sit with those, reflect on those,
and implement those. Okay, Now we're gonna get into our affirmations.
I've got five as usual. Now, when you say these
to yourself throughout the week. Make sure you repeat them
three times each time. Okay, but right now I'm gonna
(11:14):
say one, and you're gonna repeat it, and we're gonna
go to the next one, so on and so forth. Okay.
I attract money because I respect and value money. Hey, nice,
(11:35):
I release scarcity and step fully into abundance. I release
scarcity and step fully into abundance. Every dollar I invest
in myself multiplies. Every dollar I invest in myself will multiplies.
My clarity brings me confidence and peace. My clarity brings
(12:00):
me confidence and peace. Money flows to me, through me
and back to me, and endless supply. Money flows through me,
to me and back to me, and endless sup and
so it is you guys. Now, next week, we're moving
into some business elevation. Okay. I'll be breaking down three
(12:25):
simple side hustles that you can start this month to
bring in some extra cash flow, all right, And whether
you've got two hours or twenty hours, you'll walk away
with actionable ideas that you can launch right away. All right.
So until next time, remember your money mindset is the
(12:45):
foundation of your financial future. So protect it, nurture it,
and elevate it daily, and remember your only limit is
you
